“Originally built in 1926, this restored train depot is the ideal venue to enjoy live music acts from local and national bands. The natural acoustics and free-flowing vibes are all thanks to the original wood frame and open layout of the space. The intimate floorplan offers standing room only for most shows, with some seating at the full bar. Head outside to the firepit to get fresh air in between shows and keep an eye out for food trucks.”

“Ethereal brews its beer in a revitalized fermentation room and is the only brewery in town with a dedicated yeast lab. They’ve perfected the Belgian farmhouse and American craft beer, sparing no expense on ingredients or their brewing process. Their taproom selection spans from traditional craft staples (IPAs, Saisons, Witbiers) to ambitious out-of-the-norm brews. Head past the taproom to find a wall of dart boards and the occasional taco stand. And bring your pup, too. ”

“Crank & Boom has the best ice cream in Lexington and has made it into numerous articles including the New York Times for being the best ice cream in Kentucky! It’s a great local place with a variety of flavors and friendly staff. Some of our favorites are Bourbon Ball, Kentucky Blackberry Buttermilk and Chocolate Fudge Brownie”

“Lexington’s first gastropub, the Village Idiot’s simple, yet inventive menu and an outstanding craft beer selection make for a guaranteed good time, every time. Classic dark wood finishes and a laid-back atmosphere give this spot a real pub feel, while serving unique sharables like “The Pot” of mussels or the "pulled pork mac & cheese".”

“Wine bar that also has a huge bourbon selection. They allow you to do 1/3 pours so you can try very expensive bourbon, like the 23 year old Pappy Van Winkle ($1,800 a bottle retail), for a reasonable price. Bourbon and wine flights are reasonably priced. Best old and new world wine selection in the state of Kentucky.”
