Reginald Marsh's family estate. Idyllic setting bordering public preserve with trails leading into town, a few minutes walking distance to the center of Woodstock. 800sft architect renovated house, with views to the stream. High season rates apply.
Woodstock Historic Artist Estate - The Cottage House If you want to fall asleep to the stereo lullaby of frog croaks while watching the spectacle of fireflies competing with stars, this is the place. Frederick Dana Marsh, father of the well known Social Realist painter Reginald Marsh, married Mabel Van Alstyne in 1930, starting a notable artistic partnership as the Van Alstyne Marsh Collection that was later acquired by the Smithsonian Institution. Their home was unique for Woodstock—'It was in the background of the Mona Lisa; a Van Gogh landscape; a train ride through Tuscany—ball shaped junipers;  a pond that bracketed the house;  expansive lawns; a gathering of birches.  But most of all, big cone shaped cedar trees.  It is a marvelous thing to look up at backlit clouds at sunset—see the intrusion of cedar peaks, pointing up like soft missles and the erratic flight of mosquito catcher bats making ninety degree turns down the channels between the trees.  A photographer friend was here last weekend and I told her, “Don't worry about framing the picture, just point and shoot.  The landscaper framed it for you seventy years ago." ' Here I quote Austin Metze, who knows this piece of land long before it put a spell on us. To be there is to inhabit an idyllic painting. Sit in the property's own Hidden Chair Waterfall or chill at the secluded sandy beach swim hole a one minute stroll away through enchanted woods, take a hike up Milk Mountain or across the stream up the trails of the neighboring nature preserve for a Sunday brunch in town and visit to the flea market. Or just read a good book under a cypress tree. The Cottage House is on the same property as the Pond House, occasionally available for rent at 'Woodstock Historic Artist Estate' listing. Both houses are very private. There are three houses next to each other, the Cottage House, the old Farm House that is permanently rented to our dear Lainey and Austin, and the Pond House, currently owner-occupied. The Cottage House faces the stream with waterfall and small swim hole and the great lawn on one side and the woods and 'Milk Mountain' on the other, with an outdoor chaise overviewing the legendary Indian Head mountain ridge. The house is an architect-renovated 800sft two bedroom, one bath, sleeping 5 by means of a sofa bed in the living room. We provide linens, towels and other necessities. The house has an outdoor dining area with charcoal grill, as well as lounge chairs by the waterfall. • Our family of 3 had an absolutely wonderful stay at Nin's cottage house in a serene neighborhood of Woodstock. She and her family were warm and welcoming and our accommadations were perfect for our 2 night stay. We really enjoyed their pets as well, especially their dog marvin when they dropped in on occasions. The space was exactly as pictured on Airbnb and would love to come back again soon for a peaceful escape and the experience of Woodstock's "soft water" (which we loved!)

  • The cottage was very nicely decorated and comfortable. The woodstove was a huge plus and kept us toasty! Nin was super friendly and unbelievably quick in her response time.

  • Thank you Nin and Ralph for providing such prompt communication throughout the booking process and answering my questions clearly and patiently, guiding me through my first ever airbnb booking. The pictures really captured how charming the property is. You can really feel how the cottage has been renovated by such creative people and has a lovely modern and homey feeling. Everything we needed has been thoughtfully provided - including towels and gowns - and the kitchen is well stocked yet compactly designed. The cottage was spotlessly clean when I arrived and had great music playing to warm my welcome. I would love to come back and have already recommended it as a place to stay to family and friends. Thank you Nin and Ralph for being such perfect hosts, and making me and my family feel so welcome. We will always remember our time splashing in the lovely river. It's a magical spot you have and we hope to come back soon.

  • Near town, but very private, beautiful setting and a cozy apartment with a great wood burning stove! Appreciated Nin's suggestions for dining, spot on! Thanks Nin

  • Had a lovely time! The place was well-cleaned and had all the necessary utensils/staples (olive oil, salt, pepper, etc.). The bathroom and heated floors were amazing. The wood-burning stove was a joy (and was all set up to be lit when we arrived). Had to call NIn for more kindling and had some within about three minutes. Super responsive and kind. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to others.

  • This place is fantastic, very well appointed with a casual but elegant feel. The bed is great, the kitchen is great. Marvin the dog is great. Nothing but good things to say.

  • This cute, little pad is very stylishly furnished and in a beautiful location, with woods and stream at the bottom of the garden. Perfect for hanging out in Woodstock and Saugerties.

  • We had a fantastic Stay. The moment we arrived we walked into a warm peaceful space and felt right at home. My girlfriend and I were looking to get away for the weekend to relax and I have to say both of us were so pleased. The entire place is tastefully decorated and really makes good use of the space from the kitchen to the fantastic bathroom with a soaking tub. WE will be back!

Lake Hill is a great residential hamlet, we have neighbors all around. There are beautiful, quiet walking roads nearby, and hiking trails close. We are in-between Woodstock and Phoenicia.
  • K&J’s home was beautiful! Everything was very clean and the house was gorgeous. The rooms were very nice and they had great shampoo and conditioner. The essential oil infuser was a nice touch as well. We had an awesome stay and highly recommend

  • Wonderful stay! Beyond our expectations. The location was outstanding, directly between Woodstock and Phoenicia and close to hiking trails. The aromatherapy diffusers in the bedrooms were a nice touch and we appreciated the handwritten recommendations! Thank you!

  • Really lovely! Very thoughtful, elegant, and comfortable. Thank you!

    Homa2017-11-12T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment was very cute and exactly like the photos. It had a private entry and a separate driveway, and we had the entire second floor plus outdoor deck all to ourselves. It was exactly what we needed for the weekend, a secluded getaway in the mountain. The Overlook Mountain trail was less than 10 minutes away and the Cooper Lake was right around the corner. We had a great time!

    Janice2017-10-01T00:00:00Z
  • This is a fantastic place to stay near Woodstock! The apartment is spacious and clean. The kitchen is well stocked so you don't have to eat out for every meal. And the hosts were very communicative and left the porch light on when they knew we'd be checking in late. We hope to come back and stay in the apartment again soon.

    Kara2017-11-19T00:00:00Z
  • We absolutely loved the place - so cozy, clean, and absolutely beautiful. Very close to the Catskills (where we went hiking), Woodstock, and Phoenicia (really cute towns) so we had lots to do. There were many little touches that made the place feel like home, and Kerrigan and Jon were such great hosts. Their recommendations for food, music, and things to do (we managed to catch a film at the Woodstock film festival) were super helpful as well. All in all, amazing experience.

  • Chase and Liz's studio was gorgeous! There is no service outside of Woodstock, so make sure you're using wifi for texting. Even with wifi, calls are hard to get through out there. Absolutely beautiful view from the balcony and no more than 10-15 minutes away from the center of woodstock- a very nice drive!

  • The studio apartment was spacious and beautifully appointed. Tons of natural light, very comfortable bed, great linens and towels, wooded views and very quiet neighborhood conveniently located to hiking trails, lakes, restaurants, and shopping. I highly recommend staying here.

    Terri2017-09-28T00:00:00Z
  • The space is tastefully designed on a beautiful property. It's worth noting the landscaping ties right in to the surrounding nature. The moss covered walkway and natural spring right out the door makes this an idealic setting. The interior has lots of space with unique touches throughout. The shower feature is very unique and well done. We enjoyed sitting on the front balcony and soaking in the silence. Chase and Liz were amazing. Chase greeted us on arrival and showed us around. He's got a lot of flexibility on this property so reach out if you have questions or want to really pack in some people. Liz said hello as we were leaving and was just as friendly. I between them both is their amazing dog Bentley. He made sure we were ok coming for a quick hello on his own mid-stay. We were delighted by Bentley and welcomed his company. I'm sure had we not been Chase and Liz would have been sure to keep him glued to his CNN. Overall we recommend this property as well as the hosts. I understand they have more than one place in the area. Definitely check out what they have to offer.

    Clay2017-08-13T00:00:00Z
  • Chase and Liz's place was a wonderful find. The studio is up amongst the trees, it's spacious and bright. The skylight brings in lots of light so definitely bring a sleeping mask. Liz said she will be providing some in the future if you forget. The studio is clean with good sheets and lots of pillows. I really enjoyed my stay. It was secluded, private, and so serene. Liz provided lots of tips and suggestions for day trips and food. The Pines is about a 7 minute drive for morning coffee and breakfast. The local community is so friendly and lovely. I would highly recommend staying here!

  • Wendy was an excellent host for my Catskills vacation. The cabin was wonderful - just as described! Wendy did an excellent job of not only providing a clean, enjoyable and well-kept cottage, she also went above and beyond to provide recommendations for dining and activities in the area. If you're planning a trip to the Catskills, you can't go wrong with this listing!

    Daniel2015-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • Wendy was a wonderful host. She was overseas the weekend we were set to arrive but arranged for friends to be there upon our arrival (which was later in the evening). It was my boyfriend's birthday weekend and there was a bottle of champagne in the fridge waiting for us! Even though she was away she made sure to check in before, during and after our arrival so that we had everything we needed. The cottage itself is perfect. It's very clean, minimal and has everything you need. It's also only a short 10 min drive to Woodstock and surrounded by trees which make it feel secluded. I would highly recommend staying here if you get the chance to.

    Leon2015-06-28T00:00:00Z
  • What a charming abode! My husband and I had such a wonderful weekend away at Wendy's cottage. It's cozy and well appointed with everything you would need. Wendy has an excellent, eclectic sense of style and she was attentive and a pleasure to correspond with. A wonderful experience and comes with our recommendation.

    Elizabeth2015-10-25T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful stay at Wendy's Treescape Cottage. The cottage is very near Woodstock village and great hiking. The nearby Cooper Lake is beautiful and very easy to reach. Two mornings we woke up to a deer grazing in our grass. We highly recommend this rental for a much needed escape to nature; it is the definition of cozy. Wendy is a perfect host, very quick to reply to any questions and making sure we had all we needed. You won't regret a stay in this cozy cottage!

    sarah2017-08-13T00:00:00Z
  • Wendy was a GREAT host. Very easy to communicate with, friendly and she was kind enough to allow a late check out, which was very helpful. The cottage is cute, quiet and peaceful. A little tight on space, but a perfect size for a couple. Very clean and about a 10 minute drive to town. Highly recommended...Thanks Wendy!

    Marko2017-08-27T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at Wendy's cottage was wonderful. The cottage is private, clean, and perfect for a quiet escape. Wendy was lovely and easy to work with; she was timely with organizing the check in and departure, and checked in to see if we had everything we needed while there. I highly recommend staying at the cottage!

    Kristin2015-07-19T00:00:00Z
  • My girlfriend and I had a wonderful stay in Wendy’s small cottage just outside of Woodstock Proper. A 7-minute drive from the center of Woodstock, the cottage is ideally located, offering a pleasant blend of seclusion within the woods and convenience in terms of its vicinity to the town. We found the house’s décor welcoming, and though Wendy’s cottage is certainly cozy, it is by no means cramped, as it has a well-lit sunroom, a comfortable kitchen-dining room combo, complete with skylights, and a small bedroom that features an unusually soft mattress. Wendy was an attentive host, and though she wasn’t in Woodstock the weekend that we visited, she made sure that we had a pleasant stay, and responded to all questions we had about the cabin promptly and with care. My girlfriend and I enjoyed our trip to Woodstock as much as we did in large part because of our time in Wendy’s cottage, and we both agreed that we’d be sure to rent it again, if we made a return trip to Upstate NY.

    Matteo2015-06-08T00:00:00Z
  • Wendy's cottage was by far the best accommodation I've found on Airbnb. Every single part of the experience was perfect - from location, to decor, cleanliness, accessibility and Wendy herself. The cottage is in the perfect spot a stone's throw from Woodstock village, down a gorgeous little road, surrounded by birch trees. It's the perfect getaway for a couple -- it's a cozy cottage without feeling small, and has been outfitted with fantastic mid-century modern furniture and a a bounty of spots to curl up with a book or gaze out at the surrounding forest. I can't recommend this cabin enough -- Wendy was so helpful, and incredibly accommodating to us from start to finish. The whole experience was just fantastic and we'll definitely be coming back!

3 bedroom house. King size bed in the master bedroom, full in the 2nd bedroom and twin bunk beds in the third. 1 1/2 baths, woodstove in the sun room and a freestanding modern fireplace in the living room. Not too fancy, just plenty special.
Park by the street, walk across the footbridge over the Mink Hollow stream and go through the gate to the right. Just up the garden path is our little red cottage, a great home base for exploring Woodstock or just the miles of wilderness right behind the house. The house easily accommodates 2 families with kids. There's just one full bathroom, but the back bedroom has bunk beds and its own 1/2 bath. Pool is open June through end of September.
Woodstock is a vibrant artistic community filled with all kinds of wonderful activities. The house is 5 1/2 miles from the village, and about 700 feet higher in elevation. It's at the base of Olderbark Mountain, a fine ascent of which can be started just up the road. The house is also close to Phoenicia and skiing at Belleayre is just 20 minutes away.
  • I love working with Norm and his home is so beautiful, artistic, and inspiring! I highly recommend spending time in this magical place!

    Eliza2015-09-27T00:00:00Z
  • Another great visit!

    Cameron2015-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • Norm made us super welcome, lovely guy!! The house is bigger and nicer than the pics show, you cross a small bridge over creek to get to the house and the place feels really special. The house honestly could use I deep clean and some tlc, nice cabin in the woods!

    Fanny2016-08-14T00:00:00Z
  • Pictures just don't do justice of how amazing (and large) Norm's house is! The cabin is secluded between a stream and lots of trees. It was very relaxing to hear running water and breathe fresh air when we stepped onto the porch, unlike loud ambulances and drunk people kicking trash cans as we are used to in NYC. Both living spaces are ample and inviting and have working fireplaces, the front family room is where we spent most of our time. We enjoyed roasting potatoes and drinking wine surrounded by walls of windows that created a seamless connection between the nature around the house and its indoors. The dining table is perfect for large groups and the kitchen is airy and oversized and features a window overlooking the woods - it was the first time I enjoyed chopping up onions. Norm was very accommodating. Not only he provided us with all necessary instructions, he went above and beyond to make sure we were happy and comfortable. This place was perfect to celebrate my 30th birthday. We were sad to come back to reality, but we hope to come back soon! Thanks Norm!!

    Rescalla2016-01-18T00:00:00Z
  • Norm's cottage is wonderful - It has a unique and personal feel-- with his art hanging throughout, you can tell the home is well loved. The cottage is much larger than the photos give it credit for. The grounds are also stellar, and there is nothing better than the pool on hot sunny days! Norm was easy to communicate with and very accommodating. I hope to return for another stay soon!

    Kat2014-09-07T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed at this property for the second time this winter, and yet again it was fantastic. The location is great - only a few minutes drive from Bearsville & Woodstock, as well as some excellent trails around the close vicinity of the cottage. Norm is an excellent host - he leaves treats around the place for guests on arrival, the fire is warming the property, and he even provides spare toothbrushes etc in case you've forgotten your own. The kitchen is extremely well equiped, and in general the property is like a home away from home. Norm asked me before we left "would there be anything we can improve for future guests?" - I discussed this with my wife & mother in law, and we genuinely couldn't come up with any useful suggestions it is already that great! Highly recommended

    omar2014-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • Norm's cottage was homey and relaxing, and we had a great time staying there We only wish we had more time to enjoy it. Norm was generous and had a pot of coffee waiting for us. We all admired his artwork as well.

    Robert2014-05-05T00:00:00Z
  • Norm is awesome! Norm's cabin is awesome! It's truly the most perfect getaway you could ever imagine. I didn't think it was possible for the cabin to be more amazing but now that everything is in bloom it's even more incredible!!! Thank you Norm!!! You are totally awesome!

  • Judy's place is very cozy and the hosts are nice, welcoming individuals. The property is nicely secluded while still being a short ride into town. Great value and convenience.

    Binh2017-09-04T00:00:00Z
  • Judy (and her husband Fred) was an amazing host! My girlfriend and I were a little hesitant at first because we've never used AirBnb before and Judy's pictures weren't the best. She also only had three reviews. But those reviews were raving, the price was fair, and the location was spot on for our Woodstock getaway. When we rolled up on our first afternoon the key had been left for us, but we were also greeted by her husband Fred who showed us the space (it's a small apartment in the top of Judy's own art studio!) and chatted to us about the town a bit. The apartment is totally separate from Judy and Fred's home, so we had it all to ourselves, which was really nice. It's also on a gorgeous tree filled piece of property (though no phone service, so be ready to unplug!). The space was small, but great for two people and had cozy yellow walls, a neatly made bed, art hanging on the walls, a fully stocked kitchen, books, a table, and extra blankets. It was clean and thoughtfully put together. We met Judy the next day and she was just as warm and lovely as she had been over email (btw she's great with messaging you local tips and suggestions and is always available to ask questions, even before you get there!). Also, their house is only about 5 minutes to downtown Woodstock and about 20 minutes to the other nearby towns. It's really a great bang for the buck. We'll be recommending this spot to others and will lay our heads here again if we ever get back to Woodstock.

    Gillian2017-10-09T00:00:00Z
  • Judy gave us great recommendations for the area, and she and Fred were quick to respond to all of our questions. Very close to everything in town but nice and secluded for a quiet weekend.

  • The cottage is totally adorable, warm, clean, and comfortable. My partner and I didn't get a chance to meet Ed, but felt entirely secure that he was just a text or call away. He was very communicative and prompt with responses. I'd definitely go back anytime for another NYC getaway! It really did feel like a home away from home. Thanks to Ed and Celia for opening their lovely doors to us- we had a wonderful weekend.

  • Beautiful cottage in a wonderful area. As others have noted, the inside of the cottage is perfect. Incredible bed with the sound of nature audible all night. The cottage is a short drive to incredible restaurants and gorgeous hikes. I had a great time!

  • Really cute and comfy cottage across from Cooper Lake in Woodstock. Ed made an effort to get there early to meet us and show us around. We were looking for a private weekend and he completely respected that. It was a last minute trip - and had a near cancellation - and Ed was more than understanding.

  • This comfy cottage is perfect for a romantic getaway. The cottage is tucked away and is super private. Your a quick drive into town if you want to get a good meal or walk around. I'd highly recommend staying here if you're looking for a low-key getaway!

  • We very much enjoyed our stay at the Cottage. The location is perfect and there are plenty of places to hike nearby. The cottage is very cozy and there were plenty of essential's in the kitchen. We very much enjoyed our stay and would definitely like to return.

  • We were looking for a quiet weekend away, and this was the perfect place. The adorable house was comfortable, clean, and cozy. The hot tub was a great way to unwind, especially after our hike on Saturday! If we were going to be in the area again, we would definetly stay here again.

    Jennifer2017-07-23T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage is so cute and perfect for two people. This was my first airbnb experience and it was just great. Ed & Celia are wonderful hosts- they gave us our private space, but were just a text message or phone call away if we needed anything. There is a nice stream near the property that you can walk to, a grill & they are working on a fire pit for summer nights. Looking forward to staying here again in the future!

On an acre of land, surrounded by tall trees and a large back yard. Neighbors are nearby but there's always a comfortable feeling of space & privacy. A great place to write, paint (light is fantastic) near skiing. Cozy, warm, all the comforts of home
The cozy living space takes the form of a great-room which makes up the living, kitchen and dining rooms. The kitchen has a gas stove, dishwasher, microwave, refrigerator-freezer and filtered drinking water. The dinner table easily seats six. There are three sleeping spaces with room for six people. The master bedroom suite has two large closets, amble drawer space, a queen size bed, basic cable TV and a full bath which includes a washer/dryer. There’s a large studio space over the garage, with a day bed that opens into twin beds, has basic cable TV, a propane heater and a wood burning stove. In the living room there is a convertible sofa that opens into a queen size bed and a large flat screen TV with HBO and Showtime in addition to basic cable along with two closets. The second bathroom is on the first floor near the living space, where there is a full size stall shower equipped with grab bars.
All the pleasures of Woodstock; music, art galleries, gift shops and clothing stores are in abundance. My particular favorite is Upstate Cinema, a one screen theater that shows great independent and foreign films with a sister Upstate Cinema across the river in Rhinebeck where there is a choice of two screens. Our actual neighborhood stretches from Saugerties to the North with its great antique shops, to the historic city of Kingston (the multiplex is there)to the East and further East across the Hudson River, to the elegant shops and restaurants of Rhinebeck. When in Woodstock, enjoy dinner at Cucina's or The Bear Cafe, lunch at Joshua's and breakfast at Sunfrost. We have a good Health Food Store called Sunflower, a cool fruit and veggie market at Sunfrost and Hurley Ridge, the local supermarket just out of town on Rt. 375.

In summer, stargaze on our deck or check out the catskills' many swimming holes. In winter, frolick in the snow, hike our frozen waterfall, or just sit by the woodburning stove. Stroll Sickler road to see fall colors on mt. oldenbark. Spring brings the snow runoff and our waterfall rushes and the flowers bloom! Our quiet mountainside perch is a four-season getaway comfortable for up to six adults and a little one or two. Right between Woodstock (10 min) and Phoenicia (15 min).
Set up for up to six adults and/or a young kid or two, this house is perfect for a family getaway or for up to three couples. Centrally located halfway between Woodstock and Phoenicia, just over 2 hours from NYC. 30 minutes from Hunter and 20 minutes from Catamount. Our house brings the outdoors in through its well-placed windows and its tasteful woodwork throughout. Walk out the door and hike into our incredible 2.5 acre mountainside backyard for a waterfall, thick trees, and perfect Catskill views! Or just sit on the deck OR in our screened-in porch and relax, or build a fire inside in the beautiful wood-burning stove. We have been coming to the Catskills for years and this property has it all--beautiful inside and out, centrally located, and not another house in view from our property. There is even a separate yoga studio if you want to sneak in a morning practice!
Sickler road is a quiet and picturesque stroll next to the Beaver Kill river. Hardly any cars drive down the road, so it will be quiet and serene. The perfect getaway from the city, but still very convenient to Woodstock, Phoenicia, Mt. Tremper, and so much more.
  • Lovely place- perfect for two couples and 2 kids. Nice quiet road was great for walks. The house was great and they had tons of toys. A relaxing stay and incredibly informative host!

  • Greta's home was absolutely lovely and I would recommend it for any stay in the Catskills. Greta was kind enough to contact me ahead of time to make sure everything was in order for my party of five. Her home is impeccable; very clean and beautifully decorated. Maybe best of all: the outdoor area is gorgeous. I hope to return for another trip north!

    Martina2016-08-22T00:00:00Z
  • Greta's home was absolutely wonderful! If you're looking for the perfect upstate getaway from NYC, or really any urban area, this is the place to go! The house is adorable and has everything you need to cook, relax and have a good time. It is also wonderfully decorated and very clean. In terms of accessibility, it is on a wonderfully quiet road (highly suggest using the on-site yoga studio for a solitary morning practice) and is extremely close to Woodstock if you want a bit more action. Would absolutely stay here again in a heartbeat!

    Erin2017-08-20T00:00:00Z
  • Greta has an amazing house in an amazing location. We enjoyed cooking in her kitchen and enjoyed he nice warm fire. We had a hammock that we set up in the backyard and had a great time. The artwork in her house is very unique and all the toys and games kept us and the children happy. We would love to return. Thanks Greta!

    Binal2017-05-16T00:00:00Z
  • Had a great experience at Greta's house. Stayed for 4 nights. Super cute inside with plenty of space to relax and everything you need to be comfortable, including a fully stocked kitchen. Bedrooms were perfect. Close to Woodstock and Phoenicia. My favorite part was just looking at the window at the nature all around. I would definitely recommend to others and would consider returning myself!

    Dave2016-06-08T00:00:00Z
  • Greta's place is wonderful! My 1 and 3 year old loved the property, especially the toys. We loved the waterfall and yoga studio, and it was so peaceful are evening enjoying the wood burning stove.

  • Very good communication with Greta. House is very cozy and welcoming. Easy for kids with lots of toys and books. Beautiful setting and views.

  • Greta is a thorough, kind, and considerate host. The home is lovely and comfortable - really a perfect feel for a modernish country home. Keep in mind that the home does not include a washer and dryer - midweek, we used the laundromat in Woodstock.

  • We had such a lovely weekend at Tom & Marisa's house. The location was perfect, a great escape from the city. The kitchen has everything necessary to cook meals in and enjoy them on the screened in porch (bug free!). We look forward to coming back.

    Katlyn & Jonathan2016-07-11T00:00:00Z
  • Tom and Marisa's place was gorgeous, cozy, and perfect for our sibling retreat -- we brought our sister upstate before her wedding. They left us sweet notes and fruit and beer and cake and their home was impeccable and sunny, and we felt SO welcome and instantly homey. We LOVED the beautiful sprawling outdoor/woodsy space and cooking in the kitchen. And the screened in porch was simply dreamy. Highly, highly recommended.

    Temim2016-05-23T00:00:00Z
  • Marisa and Tom were super communicative-- they provided the most comprehensive, exhaustive amount of information about their home beforehand via a handy guide, and made sure we had everything we needed. Their home is lovely and exactly as described. There were a lot of cooking enthusiasts in my party and they were pretty stoked about how many gadgets were there. I would definitely stay again.

    ming2016-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • The house was incredible. It was beautiful and clean, modern amenities. All around it was a wonderful experience. It's a large, quiet house off in the woods, plenty of space to lay around, cook, and hang out. Tom and Marisa were very easy to work with.

    Joe2016-05-02T00:00:00Z
  • Marisa contacted us in New York, providing information relevant to finding and living in her excellent cottage for a few days. The many photographs portray well the comfortable interior and spacious woodland garden. All was better than expected and was " 5star" throughout.Well done Marisa and Tom.

    john2016-10-07T00:00:00Z
  • I barely even know where to begin in praising our stay at Tom + Marisa's Woodstock home. I suppose I'll begin with the house itself - it is even nicer than advertised in the pictures. It is extremely well kept and spotlessly clean, with a great "modern cabin" vibe, somehow mixed expertly with a Southwest type of feel. And a mallard in the bathroom that we found particularly charming! This house truly feels like a home, and not like a sparse, spare space that is kept solely for the purpose of airbnb (speaking from experience here). Adding to this feeling was a handwritten welcome note that greeted us on the impressive dining table, accompanied by a gift basket of high end treats, including local chocolate, and fruit. Another very appreciated touch was the meticulous, handwritten labeling of everything from light switches to recycling. I'm sure most people don't think about this, but the little things like knowing which light switch turns on which light or ceiling fan definitely makes one feel much more at home while away - captain obvious here, but while away it's good to feel as in your element as you would in your own home! Other little things, like the tick recognition guide on the fridge, added to this feeling of being cared of in a home and not an impersonal hotel. The king-size bed was a dream to sleep on, and we were amply supplied with more than enough linens, towels, etc. Also need to mention the water pressure in the shower was fantastic! We didn't spend a lot of time in front of the TV, but, should you wish to, there were many viewing options available. The enclosed porch in the backyard overlooks the lake so you can enjoy the view, sans bugs! And if you were in the mood to cook up a feast, you would have every pot, pan, appliance, and kitchen gadget at your disposal in the well-appointed, large open kitchen. The house was slightly removed from the larger town of Woodstock, which we were more than happy with as we were looking for a quiet weekend away, but it was not too far at all so we were able to get to food/shops within a few minutes' straightforward drive. We had been to Woodstock briefly before so we had a few places we thought we wanted to go back to for food, but ended up trying places that were recommended in the welcome guide and really enjoyed them! We also visited the Woodstock Farm Sanctuary and hiked at Kaaterskill Falls, both of which were also recommended in the welcome guide, and were so happy we did both. Both activities are obviously a lot of time spent outdoors, and we lucked out with the weather being so mild this late in May. The falls were especially something amazing to see, and really not too difficult of a hike (this city girl had no issues). To sum up - we straggled in...

    Katherine2017-05-21T00:00:00Z
  • Tom and Marisa's place is awesome! It was clean, spacious and in a quiet section just outside Main Street Woodstock. The house was stocked with games and the kitchen had everything we needed for cooking. The PS3 came in handy for some Netflix. There's a lot to do within minutes - between hiking and skiing - with Woodstock only a 5 minute ride. We would definitely come back!

    Torey2016-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • As soon as we got into the house we were greeted with a basket of oranges and apples with cookies and a delicious lemon blueberry cake. What a warm and sweet surprise to find after traveling! Overall the house was perfect for what my friends and I needed- a weekend escape from the stress of the city. The house was fully equipped with all kitchen equipment to make meals. The beds call your name after a long hike nearby. Beautiful screened in porch for afternoon coffee breaks and chit chat. I would however recommend that if you're coming from a city, rent a car because we did not and therefore didn't venture into the town much, though we would've loved to because it looked so cute.

Newly renovated bedroom and bathroom, separated from house by a breezeway with separate entry, provides total privacy on a quiet country lane in Shady, five minutes from Woodstock. Patio on small stream. Coffee and tea provided. Four poster queen-sized bed, elegant room.
The space is just as it looks in the pictures, newly renovated, with high ceiling, lots of windows, hardwood floors, glass enclosed shower. Breezeway entrance is yours for complete privacy, closed off from the main house. Home and addition are nicely landscaped with colorful plants.
We are on a quiet country lane about 4 miles from Woodstock, 2 from Bearsville. Minimal traffic. Some elevation so it's usually cooler here than right in town.
  • We loved our stay at Maureen's house in Shady, NY. We were in desperate need of an escape from NYC and definitely got what we were looking for in the Catskills. Woodstock is a great town with tasty restaurants, reliable delis, and the sweetest locals! The guest area with separate entrance seems to be a recent add-on to Maureen's classic Woodstock house and is therefore very clean and functional. The bed is big & comfy and the bathroom clean and charmingly well designed. It was an unseasonable 90 degrees the whole weekend but were still comfortable in the bedroom with just the fan. Maureen's place is the perfect launch pad to get a good nights sleep before adventuring in the wilderness all day and a shower for when you're covered in nature at the end of it. Shady is close to so many amazing things to do and just a 10 minute drive to downtown Woodstock.

  • Great hosts! Would stay here again! Very central to Woodstock and surrounding towns.

    Tyrone2017-08-14T00:00:00Z
  • We had an amazing stay at Maureen’s place. She was incredibly friendly and accommodating. Even gave us great recommendations for dining and hiking! The room was clean and very comfortable. It felt like a private apartment, not a private room in a house. Even our pup quickly felt at home! We loved the location – quiet and peaceful, but still close enough to restaurants and shopping. Bessy (her dog) is precious. Would definitely stay again, and highly recommend!

  • A wonderful place to stay! Great proximity to Woodstock and all kinds of great places to eat, drink and be merry. I would stay here again in a heartbeat! Beautiful bedroom and bathroom. Coffee and tea provided. The bed is warm and comfy. Maureen is very nice, even when I locked myself out at 10 pm!

  • Maureen is a fabulous hosts! She was very welcoming and helpful when we arrived, making sure that we were comfortable and had everything we needed (plenty of towels, extra sheets, coffee for the morning, directions to great restaurants, hiking and swimming recommendations...) before we parted for the evening. Her guest quarters are clean, comfortable and beautifully decorated. Her house is in a very peaceful and lush spot. We loved having coffee in the morning in her serene back yard next to the babbling brook that runs through it. We absolutely recommend staying here: great room, great location and a very kind and considerate host. We'll definitely be back!

    Sascha2016-07-25T00:00:00Z
  • Maureen's accommodations were just what we were looking for. Everything was clean, the hospitality was top notch, and the location was great for heading into Woodstock or taking day trips to anywhere in the Catskills or Hudson Valley.

    Meghan2016-08-10T00:00:00Z
  • Great, comfortable, cozy home for an upstate weekend. Nicely appointed and well-laid-out. Wouldn't recommend a winter stay here for someone sensitive to mold --there was a rather strong smell of it on arrival-- but should be fine in spring or summer when the windows can be open allowing for more ventilation. Also, while no fault of Steve at all (blame global warming!) there was a ladybug swarm due to the warm fall and there were lots of lady bugs in the house. Cute bugs... but bugs still.

    Tamara2016-10-24T00:00:00Z
  • The house was beautiful and clean and cozy. Great kitchen with lots of supplies. We visited during the winter so didn't get a chance to enjoy the yard so much but it was close to town and hikes. a little closer to the road than I expected but otherwise very private and lovely.

  • This was an amazing location and we had an amazing stay. The house has a rustic feel, but is modern where it needs to be. The wood stove and fireplace made for a warm and cozy stay. The proximity to Woodstock made it a very nice quiet spot within reach of a nice town with lots of art and good food. This was a great value and a great mountain escape. We really enjoyed it!!

  • Thank you.

    Thomas2017-10-30T00:00:00Z
  • Overall, our stay at Virginia's was lovely! The cottage is historic and charming and in a beautiful setting. It's only 10 minutes from downtown Woodstock, and even though it is surrounded by nature and woods, there are just enough neighbors that you don't feel abandoned in the middle of nowhere. It wasn't cold enough on our weekend at the cabin to light a fire, but the fireplace in the living room and the wood stove in the dining room are both beautiful, and Virginia keeps the cabin stocked with logs. The furnishings in the common rooms are nice, and the beds are EXTREMELY comfortable - clean linens, memory foam pillows, and blankets to spare. She also left us plenty of clean towels in the bathroom. I agree with a previous tenant that bringing bottled water would be a good idea - the tap water is perfectly fine to brush your teeth with, but the sulfuric smell that can sometimes be common in upstate NY can be off-putting for drinking. We also noticed a lot of ladybugs in the cabin, but A) it's in the middle of the woods, some bugs are to be expected, and B) lots of bugs try to move indoors as the weather gets colder, this can't really be avoided. There were no problematic pests like mice or ants or anything, and overall the cabin was clean and inviting! Our only other concern was that the back doors were open when we arrived, and that the basement door (which provides access to the main floors of the house) only seems to lock from the outside. Silver lining though - by exploring the entry points to the cottage, we got to see the beautiful porch and garden in the back of the house!

    Marguerite2017-10-22T00:00:00Z

The Nest is a perfect year-round getaway for families and couples looking to enjoy the Catskill Mountains. Our 4bd one story house sits heart of Catskill Park, just between Woodstock and Phoenicia, NY. Only minutes from hiking trails and vibrant downtown Woodstock. On 2.25 acres, it is also complete with plenty of on-property amenities: a chef's kitchen, a gas grill, a charcoal grill, a fire pit, 2 fireplaces and outdoor games like badminton, swings, ping pong, corn hole and croquet.
Very comfortable, well stocked, kid safe and tastefully decorated. It's our favorite place to be when we aren't in NYC!
House sits on always-plowed Route 212 but is tucked back off the main road. Easy access and quiet neighborhood. Woods on 3 sides of the house.
  • Cassidy is very nice, gave us tips on hiking and swimming areas. Beautiful house. Highly recommended.

  • Our family had a lovely time at The Nest. The kitchen was fantastic for family cooking and bonding and we loved having so much extra space. The bedrooms were very comfortable for us and our kids. The owners were extremely responsive and well organized with a nice guide book, hostess upon arrival, and little notes around the house to help us enjoy the features of the house (like the pellet stove!). A quick drive to Woodstock and a lovely property made us feel close to the town but plenty of privacy! We'll be back again!

    Kunal2016-11-13T00:00:00Z
  • Great place for children. We had our son, daughter-in-law, and one year old granddaughter with us. The crib, changing table, highchair, toys and books, outside play equipment, and lots of indoor and outdoor space made it much easier for us to take care of our granddaughter and a lot of fun for her. The kitchen and family room area was spacious, well furnished, and well stocked. We enjoyed making dinner every night and used the outdoor grill a lot. The porch looked like it would have been very enjoyable to use but the late Sept/early Oct evenings proved a little too cool. Except for sleeping we lived in the kitchen/family room and didn't use the living room or TV at all. The huge dining table provided more than enough space for eating as well as for assembling large jigsaw puzzles, our nightly amusement. While the house is well into the country, as we expected, we found it a convenient base, for day trips to several different towns and villages, both in the Catskills as well as across the Hudson River.

    Neil2017-10-05T00:00:00Z
  • Our group was two married couples who wanted a post holiday mountain mini vacation. The house was perfect for adult travelers but would also be great if you were traveling with children. There is a child's bedroom with a crib and also a little teepee in the dining room that we all wished we were little enough to nap in. It was so cute. The back room/dining room looks out into woods and we loved watching the snow fall. It was so serene for a bunch of urbanites. The kitchen was fantastic. Very well equipped. And even though we were so cozy by the wood stove we did manage to get into the town of Woodstock for a meal and a wander. It was a very short drive. We loved Cassidy's place and wished we'd booked an additional night.

  • We spent the weekend at Cassidy's home and had a great time. The house is great - spacious, comfortable, clean and has everything you could need. It's also in a great location - close to both Woodstock center and Phoenecia. We would definitely stay again!

    Liz2016-11-06T00:00:00Z
  • Cassidy's home was the perfect getaway place for our family. She was able to let us check in early which was very helpful and was there to greet us with her family when we arrived. She was very friendly and gave us a tour of her place before taking off. Her house was very cozy, quiet and clean which is just what we were looking for in an Airbnb. It was perfect for our 1 year old as well who appreciated all the toys and books that she had to play with and the swing set in the backyard was an extra plus! We had fun cooking in her large kitchen that had every cookware item you'd ever need. We really enjoyed our stay, and would recommend staying at Cassidy's home.

  • My family and I grew up in this house and were excited to visit and see the new renovations. We had a lovely time reminiscing, visiting our neighbors, and enjoying the house and property.

Up the hill from Bearsville Theater, Bear Cafe, Commune & Little Bear Chinese restaurants; just down the hill from the Byrdcliffe barn & theater. Five minutes by car to center of town. With all this we are only minutes away from restaurants, theaters and shopping, hiking and swimming, and Tibetan monastery. Going further afield, there are many other towns to explore in this area, including antiquing centers (Hudson); as well as historic homes (FDR's Hyde Park, for one); the early government buildings in Kingston (the first capital of NY State); the old stone houses on Huguenot Street in New Paltz, beautiful Bard College Campus with its wonderful concerts and performances; Hunter and Tannersville, with their ski slopes and chair lifts; beautiful North Lake State Park, with its two large swimming and boating lakes and spectacular vistas; and nearby dramatic Haines Falls.

  • This little cabin was perfect for a nice weekend getaway! Super close to town, private, and clean! Only issue was the wifi which was unreliable, but other than that it was fantastic!

  • My partner and I had a wonderful time escaping the city for some much needed peace and quiet at Susan's cabin in Woodstock. We highly recommend for others to stay at this charming cabin. For starters, the cabin exceeded our expectations with how beautiful and meticulously clean it was. Of course we had already seen the lovely photos of the property online, but it was even better n person. Immediately, we felt at home. Susan clearly laid out instructions and we had no problem settling in, finding all the necessary means for comfortable living including clean sheers and fresh towels. The cabin also comes equipped with a reliable heating system, two ceiling fans, and wifi (though the connection seems strong enough to only send and receive text messages - phone calls and internet searches were impossible to accomplish). While we originally had some concern regarding sleeping on a pull out bed, we soon discovered that the bed was very comfortable and didn't interfere with our sleep quality in the least. We also worries that the guest house might be located too close to the main home, but despite the close proximity, we had a lot of privacy. Susan provided maps and guidelines to Woodstock that came in handy! The cabin is located a short drive from town and we were able to enjoy fresh farmers markets, unique shops, friendly locals, and breathtaking hiking trails. Overall, it was a wonderful little trip. We thank Susan for opening her guest house to us and hope to stay there again in the future!

    Andre2017-06-02T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin was as described and was a cute little place. Love all the decor and it felt really cozy. The location was great, it was minutes away from the center of Woodstock and hikes were all very near. Although we never got to meet Susan, she was an awesome host. She was very attentive and we highly recommend her if anyone is looking for a stay in Catskill.

    Maggie2016-09-05T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay at this cabin! It was homey and warm and welcoming. The host let us come very, very last minute and the place was really well prepared. The cabin is so nice, it's quite hard to leave. But when you do, town is really close with great food and activities! highly recommend this place. Thanks!

    Blue2015-10-03T00:00:00Z
  • Staying in Susan's cabin was an unique experience, we really enjoyed it. Everything was as described and communication with Susan was smooth. I would recommend Susan's place to everyone!

  • The cabin was super clean and beautiful. The sofa bed was actually really comfortable. You're a quick drive from hikes, waterfalls, and downtown restaurants and stores. We had a great time!

  • The moonshack is a great little cabin. Very comfortable and close to great hiking and is very peaceful. The cabin is a short drive to Woodstock and very easy to access. Perfect for a small family or a couple. Our dog loved it too!

  • We had a great time at the Moonshack. Jorgie was super attentive and always in touch. She made us feel very welcome, including homemade cookies for our dog. The cabin is really nice and has everything needed for a great stay.

    Giacomo & Paola2015-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Jorgie has created a wonderful and welcoming rustic chic and trendy house in the forest. She is a warm and engaging hostess ( we loved the muffins she baked for us on our last morning) and our children enjoyed playing badminton and cards with hers. It came complete with 4 deer visiting each morning in the back garden. The Catskills is a wonderful retreat from city life, and swimming in waterfalls and rivers was fantastic - just the right medicine for a city family.

    Philip2015-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • Jorgie was a great host. Very communicative, friendly & helpful. She left us baked muffins as a surprise the day we arrived & smores for a fire another evening. We really liked that little cottage & would recommend it for any small group or couple looking to get away for the weekend.

    Nicole2015-05-13T00:00:00Z
  • The Moonshack was perfect for us and our weekend away. We woke up each morning feeling like we were at home. The bedding was perfect and comfortable. The house was as shown in all of the pics. It had all we needed for a comfortable stay. We arrived to flowers and cookies - yum! Thank you for the treats. Jorgie was great at providing lots of information about local places to eat and great places to see & visit. It was our 1st trip with our pup, we were so happy to be able to have her with us at the house. Thank you again for sharing your home. Hopefully we can make it back again.

  • Jorge was such a tremendous host--went out of her way at every step to make our trip an easy and enjoyable one. The cabin was super comfortable, immaculately clean, and had absolutely everything we needed for a lovely stay. We couldn't have asked for a cozier spot to spend a few days in Woodstock, and hope to make a return trip sometime soon.

    Lindsay2015-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great vacation up in the Catskills at Jorgie's Moonshack. She was very quick in responding to our accommodation request and we arrived to spotlessly clean and super cozy house. We had exactly what we needed to cook and to feel at home. The house itself is located on a quiet street and there IS actually a secret lake just down the road. I recommend highly! :) It is also conveniently situated that you can take quick road trips to hiking/sight seeing/wine tasting and the Town of Woodstock is just 5 minutes way. I would definitely visit the Moonshack again next fall! :) Thanks Jorgie!

Mt. Guardian Guest House is a serene designer space in the Woodstock region of New York's Hudson Valley. We host as we would like to be hosted, bringing a touch of our unique style and design while maintaining a warm and homey feel. Through all seasons Mt. Guardian Guest House is a haven for weary city-dwellers, allowing quiet, relaxation, and stunning natural beauty. We are 4 miles from Woodstock, 2.5 miles from the Bearsville theatre, 2 miles from the KTD center and the Overlook Trail.
Our little cabin is made and furnished with great care and attention to detail. The space is comfortable and homey, bright and flooded with fresh mountain air. Many of the pieces are hand made and those that are not were chosen for both their aesthetic and functionality. We offer high speed internet access, cable TV, and a full kitchen with every utensil and pot/pan you need (we've been to a bunch of airbnb's and we hardly ever saw a decent sized spaghetti pot!) and hand crafted bathroom with shower. The views from every window are exquisite - from the front we have miles and miles of national park that change in appearance every day. Whether its covered in fog, changing leaves, bright sunshine or fresh snow Mount Guardian delivers a constantly changing and stunning landscape. Enjoy your morning cup from one of the hammock chairs, the couch, or with a newspaper at the kitchen table... At night , forego the tech and curl up in front of the fire with one of our books, or set up a board game with a glass of wine. The place is cozy warm in the coldest months, and although we have air conditioning, its rare that you'll need it. When you're ready - jump into our queen sized memory foam bed before deciding to get one for yourself (yes - its that good and we're happy to share the details). and gaze up through the skylight at the stars. If you're used to sleeping with constant light and noise you'll be amazed at how well rested you feel after just a couple nights on the mountain. We offer special rates for guests who want to stay Sunday through Friday. Check-in is 4PM Sunday and checkout is 10:00AM Friday. Please send inquiry for special rates. Skiers- we can't guarantee the snow, but the cabin is 20 miles from Hunter, 31 miles to Windham, and 36 miles to Belleayre. Inquire about our mid-week skier specials (Sunday night through Friday morning). We are pet friendly, but only small and medium sized dogs (sorry, we can't allow cats). We charge a cash deposit on arrival, and return it to you at the end of your stay. If you would like to bring a dog, please send us an inquiry and we will send you a special offer and details. Special Events in the area: Mid June: Mountain Jam Mid October: The view of the changing leaves is spectacular Mid October: Woodstock Film Festival. Book early. This brings big crowds to our little town. Late October: Woodstock Luthier Festival November: Halloween in Woodstock is an event not to be missed. In winter we offer special rates for 5 night stays, Sunday 3PM though Friday 11AM. Send us an inquiry and we'll get back to you.
Mt. Guardian is roughly 4 miles from the center of Woodstock. Surrounding this area are artist workshops and colonies, music venues, local restaurants and bars, and plenty of cool little shops to peruse. A weekend is never enough, though it will get you started into the wonderful world of the Catskill mountains. For our longer term guests, we can help you 'dig in' a little deeper to the little known secrets this area holds. Regardless of how long you're here, you'll be taken by the beauty of our area. We're very close to hiking and bike trails, swimming holes, ski areas and cross country skiing, as well as the Buddhist center Karma Triyana Dharmachakra (and love hosting those visiting the center for retreats or teachings.)
  • We had the best time at Harvey and Linda's guest house. The house itself is adorable and cozy, and Harvey and Linda are wonderful hosts who have really taken care to make guests feel welcome. And the view out the front window is unbeatable. We'll absolutely be back.

    Megan2016-12-18T00:00:00Z
  • Harvey and Linda's cabin is truly a gem. It has the combination of an idyllic setting along with a beautiful, newly renovated modern interior for the best aspects of country life (the view! the peace and quiet!) without sacrificing comfort or quality. We absolutely enjoyed our stay here, even the rainy days spent reading in the cabin, and are already planning to return. Harvey and Linda are also very communicative, kind and located next door if you need anything. Thanks again!

    Jenna2017-06-02T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed at Harvey & Linda's guest house for a quiet getaway and could not have been more pleased with our experience. Every detail of the space was well-designed and carefully considered, from the furniture to the decor to the lighting fixtures (and the bed is indeed very comfy!). It was quiet and relaxing and secluded—just what we were hoping for. Getting there by car was pretty easy and the close proximity to Bearsville & Woodstock gave us plenty to do, though we found ourselves wanting to stay in all day because we enjoyed the space so much!

    Chris2017-01-22T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful place with beautiful scenic views and very close to the fun town of Woodstock. (Recommend Shindig for breakfast/brunch). This place was so cute that my boyfriend proposed to me on the deck overlooking the mountains while the sun was setting. We will never forget this cute little guest house! Thanks Harvey, Linda, and Cannonball.

    Allison2017-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • Had an amazing stay. Defty recommend to anybody who's looking for a great getaway to a beautiful mountain cabin. The cabin is very clean, contemporary and comfortable. Also Harvey and Linda are very nice and helpful!

  • A perfect spot to get away from it all! We look forward to visiting again very soon!

    Adam2017-05-28T00:00:00Z
  • This was our second time at Harvey and Linda’s and certainly won’t be the last. We love the view and being able to watch the sunrise or sunset is magical, especially coming from Brooklyn. The space is always clean and comfortable; perfect for two. Harvey and Linda are also very kind people when paths do cross. Highly recommend!

    Jenna2017-10-15T00:00:00Z
  • The Mt Guardian Cabin is a cozy Catskill gem! The cabin faces west with an incredible view of the mountains. The cabin is up the road from the Town of Woodstock. Cool evening sunsets warmed by the cabin fireplace. At dawn, I sipped my coffee on the porch as light snow fell; the morning light illuminating the vast mountain landscape.

Our place is a cozy farmhouse cottage in Shady, 3 miles from Woodstock, with its cultural events, restaurants, galleries and nightlife. Mountain view , hard wood floors, a renovated kitchen with an open plan to the living room, a wood burning stove, 2 larger bedrooms ( one on each floor) with the possible use of a smaller 2nd floor (URL HIDDEN) place is clean, quiet and restful if a bit rustic. Special monthly winter rates from Nov 1- April 1. A beautiful place for a longer respite!
There is actually no cell service in our little valley- take a break from the business of the modern world. We also have a resident flock of free range chickens so the place comes w complementary fresh eggs if you are willing to retrieve them from their coop.
We are a 5 minute drive to Woodstock, 20 mins to Phoenicia We do own the 2 acre meadow across the road- if you would lie to take a dip or vis the sawmill and its rocks which are on the other side. There are some nice local hikes- up Mt Guardian, up Mc Daniel Rd to the monastery or further up to the Overlook fire tower.
  • Had a wonderful time at Julie's place. The location is amazing: 5 minutes away from Woodstock (a charming little town with great restaurants, bookstores and artsy vibe), but very quiet and picturesque. The house itself is a rustic summer cottage. It needs some TLC in a couple of places, but is very comfortable for a weekend getaway. The main attraction for us were the chickens! Julie has a flock of very friendly and happy chickens that roam freely during the day. And the chickens is what the kids will probably remember from this trip ;-) They fed the chickens, retrieved fresh eggs, tried to teach them tricks! Great fun. Julie is very easy to communicate with, and we really appreciated her laid-back and easy-going attitude.

    Ilya2017-08-27T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely home tucked in between the hills down a small neighborhood road. Spent a short weekend here with my partner, two friends, and their kids and was perfect - Plenty of space. Close to Woodstock and hiking trails and can hear the stream across the field from the living room. Kitchen and rooms were great and there's a sweet little yard you can sit out in for a slow meal or evening beer. Would definitely stay again and can easily recommend to anyone needing to slow down for a few days.

    Mackenzie2017-04-30T00:00:00Z
  • Julie's cozy place suited our needs perfectly. We were 5 people undecided whether to ski at Hunter or Belleayre. Everyone slept well. Proximity to Woodstock made dining choices easy as well as shopping for breakfast.

    Eddy2016-01-18T00:00:00Z
  • Julie's house in Woodstock is such a great place to relax and hang with family. Everything was as it seemed from the photos and the location was ideal. Close to stuff, but not smack in it. We spent a couple nights there with our 1.5 year old and some good friends who also have a toddler. Great layout.

    josh2016-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • Julie and Luke were amazing hosts. They were very communicative and their place was literally perfect. My boyfriend and I spent the most relaxing weekend there. My favorite part was that our phones didn't work so we weren't able to compulsively check them during our stay. There is this amazing creek across the street from their house where we spent a lot of time. The cabin is decorated in a really cool way. My boyfriend and I both loved it. Another plus is that there wasn't too much stuff in the house. Very minimal. They have an apple tree and really pretty garden on their property. Really perfect place. Hope to stay again sometime.

    Shayna2013-10-07T00:00:00Z
  • The place was a lovely cabin in a quiet neighborhood. The kitchen is well equipped for cooking. The location is just a few miles outside of Woodstock and about a 15 minute drive to Phoenicia. Julie had a great stream of communication. Our only complaint is that the furniture could use to be updated and felt a bit musty. The bathroom had low water pressure has a strong sulphur smell so it made showering difficult. There was also a large hole in the wall in the bedroom upstairs that was covered with a tarp and freaked our kids out a bit.

    Chris2017-07-06T00:00:00Z
  • Was just about perfect. Couldn't ask for more than to wake up to the sound of the creek and birds chirping.

We remodeled this house with great care and love its open feeling. The land is lovely, with a stream and large yard to play in, a refreshing pool in summer (open Memorial to Labor Day), and lovely trees and nature sounds.
The main living area is open to the outside and cozy to hang out in. The bedrooms are down the hallway and quiet.
We are on a private road. Our closest neighbor is at the end of our driveway and is very quiet.
  • A spacious house with comfortable beds, lots of dinning seating next to the kitchen, an overly spacious living room. Lots of yard space with a relaxing outdoor set off the kitchen. But there are concerns some of which are safety related. The outside is not maintained adequately. There were huge piles of leaves and tree sticks blocking the porch entrance access. Including the driveway area. Obvious not maintained in a long, long time. A slip hazard. Not to mention it required numerous sweeping to keep the debris out of the interior areas. Numerous rusty nail heads sticking up on the porch decking. OUCH stubbed toes. Dried wooden porch railings that are a splinter hazard. Very, very slippery flooring through out the interior. Most scary was the trip hazard of floor elevation changes between some rooms and even in the hall way where a large block of wood with abrupt edges that did catch our feet in both directions. I didn't want to break a leg or my neck. Required the wearing of good non-slip shoes while in the house to avoid a stubbed toe or slipping. The well water was fine but the water pressure was inadequate to take a shower. It took a very long, long time to rinse off under the dribble coming out of the shower head. The spacious living had a table and couch/chairs that were a mile apart. It was difficult after working all day to relax. It required getting from my seating to place a glass of beverage on the far away table. Needs an interior decorators torch for better functionality. Our co-guests found several bowls in the kitchen that required to be washed before use and I also found a sharp knife that had a bacteria experiment being conducted on it. Hot water was lacking also, it was warm at best. Probably the hot water tank has never been flushed or cleaned out.. Pots with flaking Teflon coating. Not something I like to cook with. Needs work before I would consider returning......

  • My friends and I had a wonderful stay at willow's home this weekend. Six of us slept comfortably in each of the bedrooms, and we loved lounging by the pool. it was exactly what we were looking for - a quiet, relaxing ladies weekend in the woods! We prepared delicious meals in the fully equipped kitchen and as a pianist I truly enjoyed the amazing Steinway grand piano! I hope we can return to this lovely place.

    EVA2017-07-16T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at Willow's was fantastic, we wished we could have stayed longer. The house is ideally located outside of Woodstock, 5 minutes by car, just enough to feel surrounded by nature. The property is gorgeous and very well maintained both inside and outside, very large and well equipped. The master bedroom is large and bright and has its own bathroom, the two other rooms are spacious and comfortable. There is also a Steinway grand piano in the living room which adds to the charm of the house. Although the swimming pool was closed for the season when we stayed, the property also boasts some very nice outside amenities. Will absolutely try to go back !

    Guillaume2017-09-17T00:00:00Z
  • We had a very relaxing stay at Willow's lovely home. The property was spacious and clean. As another guest stated, the pool and pool area needs maintenance. The basement could also use some maintenance. All in all we enjoyed our stay and would recommend this home for a relaxing summertime stay.

    Erica2015-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • We were here for vacations, and it was exactly what we want. The house was exactly as described. Willow was a perfect host, the communication was quick and very helpful. The area is fantastic, very quiet, and close of whatever you need. There is a pleasure to sleep in such quiet place, to cook in the kitchen, to swim.

    Nicolas2015-07-19T00:00:00Z
  • Great stay, very relaxing and really good location. Very close to Woodstock. Thanks!

    Jeffrey2017-09-24T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time at Willow's place. The house is very cozy and big, modern kitchen and super clean. Plenty of space very nice deigned and decorated. My wife and my father inlow enjoyed the piano while I couldn't take my eyes from the fire place. Amazing nature around the house with a great view from the master bedroom. A lot of hiking we did those days and enjoyed the autumn colors, the mountain air and the reservoir and lakes around. We strongly recommend her place. Thank you Willow for being such a great host.

    Alexandru2017-10-12T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great weekend getaway at this place. Willow was helpful and even thou she was halfway around the world, she answered our questions promptly. We were concerned that the house would be too hot with only one air conditioner in the master bedroom but it worked out fine since the temp was cooler at night than we thought. The house was clean and spacious. The pool needed cleaning on the day we arrived but she had it taken care of the morning after. The pool needs a bit of maintenance work.

  • Had a really terrific stay, and Raymond was so gracious. The location and the house are perfect, and the little walks nearby are beautiful. Can't wait to return.

  • Cabin doh ray was such a lovely get away from the city life. We felt super safe and cozy. Our first night was kind of chilly so we started a fire and the temp leveled out just right. Our host was very attentive and specific with all house nuances. :) While there, we drove about 30 minutes to the mountain for snowboarding and the scenic drive was peaceful. The cabin was clean and had all necessities to cook were at our disposal if we didn't want to drive to one of the nearby restraints in town. We would definitely recommend staying at the cabin. Adventurous change of pace, disconnect from city life and detachment from our cellphones is how I would've described it. Oh yeah, and the wifi was fast if you absolutely need to connect. All in all it was a great, reasonably priced and peaceful stay. Thanks again!

  • Raymond's cabin is comfortable and lovely, with beautiful cottage antiques and a good kitchen. The screened in porch is the perfect place for quiet contemplation. Although you can see a couple of houses through the trees in the winter, it feels secluded and private. The grounds are well kept and attractive, with two small ponds, a fire pit and a grassy mount for outdoors games. Getting to Woodstock is an easy drive. I highly recommend this place for those who need to get away from a stressed city life!

  • Great experience! The house is perfect and well stocked with amenities. The property is beautiful and a convenient 10 minute drive to Woodstock. Raymond and Maura were very gracious and helpful with questions.

  • Thank you so much for accommodating our last minute request to stay at your beautiful house. We had such a lovely time. Your place is warm and well appointed. Great location! You are in the woods with nature and in 8 minutes drive into Woodstock! We loved it!

  • Spend a wonderful week in this delightful cabin. The setting is idyllic, wooded and private, a short drive to town. The cabin is charming, spacious and well equipped. Our hosts were welcoming and attentive from the first contact. This was our first airbnb experience and our expectations were exceeded!

    Pam Moran2015-08-15T00:00:00Z
  • Peaceful private location. Lingering on the screened in porch during the rain was so restorative. Wonderfully stocked kitchen; one evening we had a dessert hankering, and there were even chocolate chips for a batch of chocolate chip cookies! Our dog enjoyed bounding in the woods and the great hike up to the top of Mt Guardian. (He also occasionally barked at the stuffed bear on the wall to protect us).

Rustic charm meets modern comfort in this newly renovated 2 bedroom home in Bearsville, a hamlet within Woodstock. Come relax indoors and out, explore over 7 secluded acres on the Sawkill river. Inside you will find laid back luxury in an open concept living room, kitchen and eating area with a 2 sided, modern gas fireplace, facing a big cozy den on the other side. Enjoy the treehouse like deck with forest surround & river views, a generous master suite, 2 walk in showers and modern vessel tub.
My unique home has a 360 degree surrounding of mature growth forest as it sits hillside above a river, 450 feet from top of a private road. It's heaven for relaxing, mediating and unwinding from a busy work week. The deck, running the length of the home is accessible from living room/kitchen, den and guest bedroom. Sliding doors and multiple windows face the deck looking into the trees, mid way from top to bottom, creating a "tree house" effect. The front room (living room, kitchen & eating) is very open with a 10' to 15' cathedral ceiling featuring ash beams from the clearing of the land and skylights. Kitchen is fully equipped with gas stove, large refrigerator, microwave and dishwasher. A modern 2 sided gas fireplace centers the home. My furniture is a blend of unique personal finds like an Air Force base pallet cart for a coffee table and furnishings & lighting from Restoration Hardware and personal antiques. The den is a great place to unwind and read or watch TV with streaming from Netflix, Hulu or Amazon. Plush & rustic rugs and ceiling fans are throughout the home. The Master suite is roomy with a king size bed, reading sconces, spa like bathroom with vessel tub and walk in stone shower. There's a streaming smart tv in here as well. The guest room has a queen bed, reading sconces and stunning views. The guest bath is lined with river rock floors, faux wood ceramic walls and a walk in shower. During non winter months the deck features a 10' sofa, oversized chaises, hammock & 2 Adirondack chairs.
It's very quiet and private feeling in this part of Bearsville, a hamlet in the town of Woodstock. The land surrounding the home is all hillside forest with the tranquil sounds of a running creek through the property. The awesome views of Cooper Lake are a 20 minute walk or 3 minute drive away. The center of Woodstock is 3 minutes and Phoenicia is 15. For groceries and food, the amazing Sunfrost farms is 3 minutes down the road for organic produce, juice & smoothies and delicious dining & prepared food. The Cub Market is closest to pick up prepared food, coffee and groceries. There is a bigger grocery in town, Sunflower market. The well known Bearsville complex with Bear Cafe, Little Bear, Bearsville Theatre and Commune are 2 minutes away for food & entertainment.
  • We absolutely loved our stay in Jason's home. It is perfectly located near town, but feels very remote and private. You can hear the rushing water from the stream, and the dogs loved running and playing in the woods. The house is impeccably designed and appointed with state-of-the-art kitchen appliances, a Sonos sound system, apple TV -- all the comforts of home (and then some). Jason was communicative and helpful all the way. We took his advice and climbed Overlook Mountain, and walked the Comeau property. I also recommend the Millstream watering hole!

    richelle2017-05-20T00:00:00Z
  • My BF and 3 little dogs simply adored this space, the fenced in deck with the most amazing outdoor furniture, and the TV room were the highlight of our stay, all we wanted was a space to cook and lounge in that felt secluded but very close to town and conveniences, it was just what we needed after a very hectic year to decompress. The dogs enjoyed the many windows to bird watch and sun bath, and the deck was super safe and gave me peace of mind. We ventured out a little for groceries, lattes, a few great flea markets and ice cream.

    Tanya2017-09-04T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful time at Jason's place. Such a beautiful and serene environment, and a home which looks like it is straight out of a magazine. Jason was a great communicator and welcoming host - we especially appreciated the iced tea for us, and the treats for our pooch (who also had a fab time). Highly recommended.

    Brooke2017-08-29T00:00:00Z
  • Jason's place was immaculately decorated, private and clean. We especially loved the deck and the fireplace! All the little touches are there, from tissues in the bathrooms to plenty of pillows, towels, dishes and utensils. We had a wonderful experience.

    Karen2017-10-22T00:00:00Z
  • Stayed with my husband, two kids (1 and 3) and our dog. We loved it! It was like staying in a luxury tree house. It felt remote and secluded but was actually super convenient to town and just a mile down the road from the bear cafe which became a favorite hang out with live music. The house itself was impeccably designed and appointed. We loved the huge deck and the sonos was awesome. Jason was a wonderful host, too. Would love to come back if they'd have us for a weekend in the fall :)

  • 5 stars does not cover how wonderful our stay/this home was. You will truly unwind and relax here. Jason and Edwin are great hosts, friendly, super easy with communication, and thoughtful doing small things like leaving a pitcher of fresh brewed ice tea in the fridge just made us feel so welcome. The home was so warm and cozy. Jason and Edwin designed every room beautifully, keeping it modern but rustic. This home is truly a perfect picture cabin in the woods. It could literally be featured on HGTV. We spent our days waking up early, letting our dog walk off leash with us in the surrounding woods, then taking long hikes in the Mountains and coming back and unwinding in this beautiful home, cooking fresh delicious food from the local markets. We used all of Jason's recommendations for in town markets, hikes etc..... thank you Jason and Edwin for a relaxing, amazing weekend.

    clarissa2017-05-29T00:00:00Z
  • Location is great, provides total seclusion whilst being a short drive from Bearsville and Woodstock. Plenty of places to eat and wander around close by. Jason provided lots of relevant information and tips. It's clear the house has been lovingly renovated and it was a pleasure to stay there. The deck and the view are stunning. Ours dogs absolutely loved the surrounding woods and creek. Would happily recommend to anyone and would definitely stay there again.

We are a short walk to Cooper Lake, which is a beautiful setting to enjoy one of the most stunning sunset views in the area. Feel free to bring a bottle of wine or a pitcher of margaritas and enjoy. Please note, there is no swimming there as it is the reservoir for the town of Kingston.
  • Gayle and Ken were phenomenally gracious and generous hosts. They made us feel immediately comfortable and welcomed. Their house is exquisite and has the most beautiful and well developed landscaping you will likely ever experience in a private home. We marveled at the attention to detail both inside and outside of the house. Lovely people, lovely home, lovely experience. We hope to stay there again and again and again.

    Louis2017-07-16T00:00:00Z
  • Gayle and Ken's hospitality was nothing short of superb and their home is a true reflection of their warmth. Beautifully decorated, we marveled at the space and the attention to detail both inside and outside of the house. The room/bathroom delivered on privacy so you don't feel like you are imposing on any of the common areas - which we were more than welcome to make use of (i.e. kitchen, patio area, and our favorite, the pool). We were greeted with a fresh cup of coffee every morning and had so much fun playing with their two gorgeous and well-behaved collies! The location is excellent - short 5 minute drive to Tinker St. and neighboring restaurants/bars. This is the perfect stay away from the city and we can't wait to return.

  • This is a great place. The owners of the place go out out of their way to make you feel at home in their home. The house and grounds are beautiful. There's a fantastic kitchen which they encourage you to use. I couldn't recommend a nicer place to stay.

  • This home is beautiful! We enjoyed every moment of our stay. The garden in particular is a magical place. Gayle and Ken are consummate hosts. Goes without saying our room was clean and fresh. (The bed in particular really comfortable). A perfect weekend getaway. Will definitely be back.

  • We had a wonderful time in Woodstock!!! Gayle and her husband were extremely helpful and welcoming!! Their home is wonderful and very well located, minutes away from restaurants and shops! They made sure we have everything we need and we really relaxed their and enjoyed our time away from the NY noise. We will be back!

  • My getaway weekend with my daughter was amazing thanks to the hospitality of Perri and Gayle. Their home is simply beautiful, and the gardens spectacular! Our room was cozy and spotless. Gayle and her husband made us feel so welcomed and we absolutely adored Willow and Ivy. Their daughter Perri made sure to leave us fresh coffee in the morning which was a pleasant surprise. I'm truly looking forward forward to my next visit with them.

  • Staying at Gayle and Ken’s Home was like visiting with family. Our hosts couldn’t be more hospitable and helpful. The Home and grounds are gorgeous, with artistic and stylish details that make it apparent that the home is owned by artists/designers. Our bedroom was well appointed and comfortable with a beautiful view of the back yard and gardens. The Home has any amenity you could ask for. If you’re like us, we like to prepare our meals as opposed to eating out. Gayle let us use her kitchen and outdoor grill, and any pot / pan we desired. She didnt mind us taking over her kitchen to prepare our meals two or three times a day. We even woke up around the same time each day and shared a pot of coffee while chatting, as if we were longtime friends. Lastly, the grounds and yard are wonderful for a morning stroll or a nighttime campfire. Willow & Ivy, the pups, were also great company! Close to hiking and to town, this is an excellent place to stay to escape NYC or simply to be closer to gorgeous hiking and cute mountain towns. For “active” activities, Highly recommend Indian Head, Twin Mountain, and Overlook Mountain. For less “active” activities, the town of Woodstock is cute to walk around and shop, and other towns are a short drive away. We will definitely stay with Gayle again!

  • We really enjoyed this secluded little cottage. There were various places to sit and enjoy the beautiful surrounding nature. A peaceful creek filled the air with relaxation and various colored mushrooms and little frogs abounded. The cottage had a rich smell of wood and was very cozy. We would love to come back again.

    Antoine2016-08-13T00:00:00Z
  • Our small family loves the cottage. It is the perfect spot for a quiet getaway.

    Georgena2017-08-30T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage is more charming in person than the pictures suggest. A 5 minute walk leads you to a serene enclosure with nothing but the sounds of the babbling brook and birds chirping. The house is small but more than adequate for 2 people. Kitchen was fully stocked with necessities to cook dinner with, along with a grill outside. Nights were chilly and gave us an opportunity to enjoy the fireplace. We had a black bear that visited us twice so just be prepared to make his acquaintance. The house exceeded our expectations and would definitely return.

    Christopher2015-08-23T00:00:00Z
  • To celebrate our anniversary, what we wanted most was to get away from the rush and noise of the city and just be together somewhere very, very quiet. This romantic, cozy cottage was EXACTLY what we hoped it would be. Deer strolled through the front yard, the wood-burning stove warmed the whole cottage on chilly evenings, the two grills + fully stocked kitchen allowed us to make some memorable meals together, and the sound of the river lulled us to sleep in the very comfortable bed. It was strange at first to have zero internet/cell connectivity, but we got used to it quickly, and enjoyed feeling off-the-grid, with no ability to check voicemail or email. There is good cell service just a few minutes' drive toward Woodstock, so in case of emergencies, it's easy to plug back in again. In fact, this cottage is absolutely the best of both worlds--complete solitude while you are there, but quick driving distance from civilization. We loved eating at Joshua's in Woodstock, and popping in and out of the various shops in town. And on our last day, we hiked the 2.5 miles up Overlook Mountain to the most incredible view out over the Hudson Valley. Don't miss this! We have every intention of coming back to Bearsville as soon as we need another break from NYC.

  • We absolutely loved our time at Jill's cottage . It was exactly what I had hoped for . I would say it's even better than the picture because in the picture you can't see the beautiful surroundings . The wood burning stove worked well and the bed was very comfortable. Plenty of hot water , and everything functions well. It's a sweet place , cozy and rustic , perfect for a getaway!

    Patti2017-09-04T00:00:00Z
  • Great little cottage with everything we needed! Jill gave us detailed instructions and directions so we didn't need to contact her with any questions while we stayed. We really loved our mini vacation in her charming cottage.

    Adriane2016-06-29T00:00:00Z
  • This was the perfect place to disconnect from everyone for a few days! The cottage was a perfect size for my boyfriend and I plus our dog! Even though it rained one of the days it didn't interfere with us having a great time! Woodstock was a great town to walk around and take in all the stores and flea market that goes on. Not having internet or cable didn't even phase us in the least! Would definitely recommend to others looking for a quite get away!

    Jordan2016-06-13T00:00:00Z
  • We were looking for 3 things: a secluded/private spot, a kitchen that was ready for real cooking, and a creek that we could take a dip in. This cottage had all of those things. Super private, all the kitchen tools/bowls/utensils your heart could desire, and a very magical creek. Make sure you walk down to the big boulders. They are really warm in the sun and make taking a dip in the cold water more fun. We really loved this place!

Imagine watching a lazy summer happen on the mountains at The Bearsville Hillside House. Set on a mountain side, with wrap-around balconies on both floors that afford forest and mountain views. A large deck off the side provides for total enjoyment of the outdoors all day and evening. You can really enjoy grilling out here. A firepit on the stone paitio at night as you smell the leaves and listen to the fire crackle. Very private yet convenient—less than 10 minutes away from the center of Woodstock. Warm and welcoming but with a “cool” modern rustic décor. We say, “Musicians welcome”! The house is owned by a New Orleans musician, and the acoustics here are really good. There is even a piano for your use. (We ask only that you don’t blast the neighbors because they are there, even if you can’t see them—in other words, keep the doors and windows closed if you’re going to be loud!) There are two bedrooms with queen-size beds, one on the first floor and one on the second, both with direct access to the balconies outside. There is also a loft-like room on the second floor that can be used as a bedroom for an extra child (there is a twin bed), or used as an office-like space. The bathroom is modern and is outfitted with a Jacuzzi tub. The downstairs is open concept, so you can see everyone from everywhere, whether you’re cooking in the well-stocked kitchen, enjoying watching cable TV in the sitting space, or tucked into the fireplace nook, relaxing in front of the round stone fireplace. Yet each space is so well defined that you feel like you’re off on your own. It’s really the best of all worlds. We supply a lot of amenities for you so that all you have to do is arrive and enjoy: Kitchen: Paper towels Paper napkins Dish soap New dishwashing sponge Olive oil Salt & pepper Some basic spices and herbs Bath: Bath soap Shampoo Conditioner Toilet paper Bath towels Hair dryer Bedroom: All bed linens Tech: WiFi Cable TV Cell phone service Misc.: Central air conditioning downstairs, fans upstairs Wood for the wood-burning fireplace Charcoal grill Charcoal & matches Trash pick-up Property manager available to answer any questions or solve any problems
The neighborhood is rural, and houses are situated for privacy. But you're not far from civilization when you want it.
  • This was the perfect getaway for us! Immaculate house in the perfect location. We needed a little getaway from NYC and this was just what the doctor ordered :) First of all, the house is beautiful. Not a single detail missed from the beautifully decorated home to the little additions that you find just when you seem to need it. Property managers, Robyn and Toby made everything so easy as they were incredibly helpful. We brought our 3yr old daughter who was in heaven with the gorgeous property. The location is perfect, just minutes from Woodstock and Saugerties where there are great restaurants, stores and activities to keep you busy all day if you want or to just relax in the cozy property. Highly recommend but fearful about going too wide with how great it is as we want to horde it all for ourselves and rent it every weekend... ha!

    Joe2017-07-25T00:00:00Z
  • What is there not to love about this place! It's only a few minutes drive from town and yet the house is very private. The beds were comfortable although there is no AC upstairs. There was a lot of rain on our second night and the power went out for about 3.5 hours so we had absolutely no power. There is no service up there but there is wi-fi set up in the house, so you can use Wi-fi calling. Robyn was very attentive and texted right away if I had a question. All in all I would absolutely stay there again and again!

Very comfortable home in a beautiful secluded setting, 1 minute to town by car or a 20 minute walk to Tinker Street (main st. in town) another 15 minute walk to center of town. If you like to ski or go cross country skiing I'm about 35 minutes away from Belleayre Ski Mountain Resort or 45 minutes to Hunter Mountain Ski Resort. If coming by bus I will pick you up.
Shared House with Owner. You have a quiet and comfortable bedroom with 32" HDTV, Apple TV includes free Netflix and HBO Go, Bose Radio and comfortable bed. Private bathroom is across from the bedroom and is nicely decorated, has bathtub, adjustable shower, vanity with large mirror and all essentials. In the summer you have comfortable spaces to lounge including a screened porch, garden area with several comfortable lounge chairs and outdoor shower with hot and cold running water. All year around you can use the large outdoor Jacuzzi day or night . I provide large towels as well as bathrobes.
House is located on peaceful 3 ½ acres of land and is about a mile from town, less the 5 minutes by car and a 30 + minute walk if you don't mind hills. Close to many beautiful areas for hiking or just walks, some are less then 10 minutes by car others with spectacular views are from 25 to 40 minutes away. The house is off the main road as it has a long driveway and it's surrounded by trees and large hedges for privacy. Don't be surprised by the deer that come up to visit as well as rabbits and lots of birds.

  • Great location. Very attractive space, and the hot tub is wonderful. Breakfast was terrific, too.

  • Gregory is a great host, the place is clean and close to the center of town. Gregory provided us with a list of attractions in the area and he helped us to plan our visit. We had a great time.

Greta's place is wonderful! My 1 and 3 year old loved the property, especially the toys. We loved the waterfall and yoga studio, and it was so peaceful are evening enjoying the wood burning stove.

Judy gave us great recommendations for the area, and she and Fred were quick to respond to all of our questions. Very close to everything in town but nice and secluded for a quiet weekend.
