Natural Feature
“In and around a burned-down pagoda on the northeast corner of our lake (closest to Uptown proper) is a public gathering space with food trucks, a sailing school, and rentals of canoe, kayak, and paddle boards. Expect a crowd on a nice day: summer is short! There are also beaches on the North end (with an old playground adjacent) and South end (bigger, more popular), a volleyball court on the southwest side, and a newer children’s playground on the east side (about 3 blocks from the food truck/boat rental area).”

Point of Interest
“Plant night and Paint nights are wonderful experiences for individuals looking to try something different and make new friends. You participate in the activity with a group of people and get to socialize and drink. At the end of the night, you've gained life long friends and get to take home your terrarium or painting. The activity is located in Norfolk but the map won't let me adjust the location. See Groupon for more information and a nice discount.”
