Cozy, isolated, well stocked cottage cleaned by a professional cleaning crew awaits your visit.
Walk to the village for entertainment, a sail, hiking or exquisite dining; or stay at 'home' where there is plenty of room to relax and cook fresh local food from the farmers market or co-op. Want to get away from it all? Tucked away in a quiet neighborhood, the cottage gives you a place to 'hang your hat' while exploring all the area has to offer. Two people will find the space very comfortable. There is plenty of safe parking if you wish to stroll to the village to sit by the harbor, shop, attend an event at the opera house or have a nice cup of coffee. Come visit and enjoy our beautiful mid-coast area!
  • Cozy quiet place!

    Timothy2020-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin is cozy and has a fantastic location; within walking distance of the center of town. The space was very clean and tidy. The bed was comfortable and I loved the little porch. Great stay and I would go back again!

    Emily2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage was quaint and lovely. A short two-minute drive to the main town by the port. A great place for two- very cozy and homey!

    Giulia2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • The home is very small, but still has everything 1-2 people could need. This is a cozy comfy tiny house, which is very clean and close to Downtown Camden. I’d recommend the home to anyone passing through the area.

    Tony2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • Wow what an adorable cottage to stay in- almost like a “tiny house”. Full kitchen with a stove, refrigerator, toaster and other cooking utensils. Different kitchen condiments left to use. The bed was comfortable and very cozy. Cottage is easy to find and very close to town! Town is adorable and fun to walk around with great restaurants and breweries. Power went out in town and Margaret was quick to respond to help us figure out why and even offered to send someone over to look at our electricity (this was before we found out the power went out in the whole town). Camden is a cute, quaint small town with friendly locals. Great stay for a great price! Will come again.

    Kelly2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • My boyfriend and I stayed at Margaret’s place during a Birthday / Valentine’s Day getaway. We wanted to escape from our busy life in the city for just a little bit and this turned out to be the perfect destination for just that! It was extremely cozy. Especially during the cold, winter nights. It was also very quiet and a convenient distance away from what Downtown Camden has to offer. We would definitely stay again if we’re ever back in the area!

    Gabrielle2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • This place is so cozy and warm! We traveled to Camden for a quick overnight trip and were so pleasantly surprised at how comfortable our stay was. Don’t let winter deter you from a Maine getaway! Would absolutely stay again at this cute cottage for two.

    Kendi2020-02-11T00:00:00Z
  • My boyfriend and I visited Camden in February to celebrate our anniversary and we absolutely loved this cute little cabin! Perfect location, spotlessly clean and just the right size for a couple. Enjoyed hiking Mt. Battie and sightseeing in the area; grocery store and downtown very close. Highly recommend!

Cottage by the Ocean is close to art and culture, great views, restaurants dining, and museums. The guest room is dubbed the Tree Top because of the skylight and the corner windows tree view. Cottage by the Ocean is good for solo adventurers and business travelers. Please note that my two cats, Puppie and Pistol, help with the hosting. Convenient to Rockland, Rockport, and Camden. The room (see photo galley) can accommodate 2 travelers (+$20). Extra disinfectant applied between guests.
Dubbed the "Tree Top" room because it corner windows look out on a wooded scene and the sky light always provides a glimpse of the sky. The cozy Ikea-styled room with s is quiet and comfortable for a short stay in the area. The desk area is well lit and includes easy access electric outlets and a charging station.
Cottage on the Ocean features an unobstructed view of the Atlantic. Quiet neighborhood. Just a mile away, downtown Rockland offers boutique shopping, world class museums, and great dining. The location is perfect if you are participating in programs at Maine Media Workshops, Center for Woodworking, The Apprenticeship Program or other extended length educational activities. Great proximity to Rockland's downtown Strand Theatre whether you're coming for a musical concert or for one of the many events such as the Camden Conference or the Camden. International Film Festival And of course The Maine Lobster Festival, The North Atlantic Blues Festival and Rockland's premiere art museums: the Center for Maine Contemporary Art and the Farnsworth Art Museum. other museums include The Sail and Steamship Museum and the LIghthouse Museum.
  • cant as for much more than this! all around a great experience. Pam is amazing and so are her cats!

    Jake2020-03-14T00:00:00Z
  • Pam is very sweet and a lovely hostess. Room is very clean with cute Ikea-like furnishings. Easy to park. Communication is excellent.

    Nicole2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Pam, Pistol and puppy are warm and welcoming host. The only thing better then the view is the shower!

    Courtney2020-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • Great view, parking right outside the house, easy access to the center of town but far enough away to avoid any crowds. My stay was in winter, when tourist amenities are limited, so I can't comment on available activities in the area.

    Jc2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • Great view and great host!

    Andrew2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Great place! I highly recommend it but you must like cats. If you do they are two of the best cats around.

    Tim2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • What a lovely place to rest, relax and enjoy a few days in Owl’s Head and Rockland! Great location and Pam is a kind, friendly and conscientious Host🌈🏡💕

    Lisa2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • I was so excited to come across Pam's place, and even more thrilled when I arrived! A true home away from home, I instantly felt relaxed as soon as I stepped foot in the door. Pam and her kitties are wonderful hosts. Everything about this place is ideal: the location (what a VIEW!), the room, the sweet little breakfast nook in the room, and, of course, the price. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

  • Amanda’s place was beautiful nice and cozy warm and clean I stay there in February in winter time and the apartment was lovely and comfortable cozy and warm everything you needed was at hand I would highly recommend a stay

    Andrew2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • Amanda was an amazing host and she was very helpful and check in was amazing.

    Donald2020-01-21T00:00:00Z
  • Great stay! Easy walk into town and the surroundings. We would most certainly stay again when we come back! Thank you!

    Tavish2020-01-13T00:00:00Z
  • Amanda's place in Camden was a great find. Clean, comfortable (the bed with its heavy, warm comforter was absolutely lucious on a cold winter day!) and it had all the amenities we needed. It is centrally located in a lovely neighborhood. Amanda was very quick to respond to every question we had.

    Mark2020-01-08T00:00:00Z
  • Very cute place to stay close to downtown Camden. Clean and comfortable and perfect for a small family and travelers with dogs. This was our second stay and we plan to come back!

    Meghan2019-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • I enjoyed staying at Amanda’s place with my two dogs and my sister. Very clean and super cozy place with easy access to town. Would 10/10 recommend!

    Sarah2019-12-10T00:00:00Z
  • Amanda’s apartment was fantastic. We had a very spacious lounge and dining area downstairs and upstairs was the bedroom and bathroom. Both rooms had a refrigerator which was handy. We used the small, well equipped kitchen facilities to prepare a couple of breakfasts during our stay which was nice to be able to do after being in the road for 5 weeks. The apartment was very clean and very warm. A strong NorthEasterly storm came through during our visit, and while many others in Camden lost power, we did not and we remained well protected and warm. The location is excellent as it is a 5/10 minute walk to the town centre, so very handy but very quiet at night enabling great sleeps! Thanks for a great stay.

    Charmaine2019-10-19T00:00:00Z
  • Amanda was very responsive whenever we had questions, which was great. Her place has a good amount of space to spread out in. The location, in a nice quiet neighborhood, is wonderful. It is a very easy walk into town and is perfectly situated for exploring the mid-coast area (eg Belfast, Rockport, Rockland).

Beautiful hand built cabin, overlooking Cotton Pond. Ten minutes from Camden, the sailing mecca of the east coast. Solar lights, (we are off the grid) gravity fed kitchen water, gas-hot water outdoor shower, outhouse overlooking the forest. Hiking trails everywhere! Swimming across the road on Hobbs Pond.
Our cabin is placed overlooking a pond, the setting is beautiful, peaceful, and private. The way the cabin is set up, helps you reconnect with a simpler way of life. (Our cabin is not set up to charge electronic devices.)
We love the natural setting, the peace and quiet and the wildlife. We own property across the dirt road, on Hobbs pond, that has kayaks, a canoe and is a beautiful swimming pond.
  • An amazing cabin, perfect location, everything was perfect , Steve and Julie are very polite and definitely going back, perfect experience!

    Leonardo2019-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • The best place to truly relax, read, and enjoy the view of the trees and pond. Loved it and didn't want to leave!

  • The way life should be!!

    Ryan2019-10-15T00:00:00Z
  • It's been said but Wow this cabin is tranquil. Loved that Camden was only 15 minutes away.

  • A lovely place where you can power down.

    John2019-10-04T00:00:00Z
  • This cabin is truly a special place that’s amazing for getting away and soaking in the beauty of nature. All the amenities you need to be comfortable while still being disconnected from civilization in the best way possible. The cabin is truly a work of art with so much thought put into every detail.

    Chris2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • We keep an amazing souvenir of Maine thanks to Julie and Steve.

    Quent2019-09-19T00:00:00Z
  • Dear future travelers, this cabin is paradise incarnate. If you’re someone who likes to trod on the path less discovered, disconnect from all the craaaziness of our world, be at one with nature, and want to live IN art... then this is the place for you! We simply can’t recommend Julie & Steve’s cabin in the woods enough. (Although we secretly wish we could keep their place aaall to ourselves!, ha-ha.) Julie was an absolute pleasure to communicate with, so very quick in her response time, & extremely accommodating as we had a couple unusual requests. Our only regret was not having the opportunity to meet Julie & Steve :( But we intend to return again... & aaagain... and hope to be able to thank these two kind souls in-person for sharing this little piece of paradise with us & the Airbnb community at large. THANK YOU AGAIN JULIE & STEVE!

You can't get any closer to the coast of Maine. The cottage perches on a dock next to a small cove. Low tide beach, high tide swimming area, and lapping waves on a near by ledge make this get away a perfect retreat for one or two guests.
The cottage provides everything you need for a comfortable stay: New mattress and bedding, comfortable chairs for relaxing and dining, a kitchenette for light meals, and deck furniture to enjoy outdoor living. Wrap around windows provide views of the cove and access to summer breezes. A heater keeps the cabin toasty on cooler days.
We are located in a neighborhood of year round homes and summer houses. The nearby (.5 miles) Audubon property offers walking trails. Damariscotta and Round Pond, 15 minutes away, have many restaurants and shops, and galleries. A half hour drive will bring you to Camden and Rockland where you have more access to restaurants and museums. The Midcoast is a beautiful area of Maine that appeals to people who want to view the scenery of the rocky coast while they also enjoy the uniqueness of each village.
  • Sharon and Dick were expert hosts. The "Little Heaven" description of this location is an understatement. It was absolutely perfect. My soul, my body, my mind, were completely at rest in this place. I can't describe how beautiful it is: waking up to a calm inlet at low tide, sleeping to the sound of the waves lapping inward as high tide was rising, the fishermen headed out to sea in the morning, the leaves across the bay having changed looking like a palette of earth tones. It was heavenly, indeed.

    Todd2019-10-26T00:00:00Z
  • An absolutely stunning spot- perfect for relaxing, and also perfectly positioned to adventure out and explore beautiful Maine. Sharon and Dick are perfect hosts, and their warm, welcoming personalities are evident. My husband and I listened to the tides come in and out, heard the loon singing, owl calls- Perfection really, for anyone that likes being in tune with nature.

    Caitlin2019-10-12T00:00:00Z
  • This space is small and cozy, right on the water where you can experience the changing tides and bird watch throughout the day (we especially loved watching the cormorants fish!). Location is great, and Sharon & Dick are super responsive and welcoming hosts. Excellent experience!

    Nikki2019-10-07T00:00:00Z
  • Great stay in a beautiful setting! Hard to beat the location - directly on the water - lovely to be able to watch the tide come and go on the rocky shore. The cottage is small but masterfully set-up to take advantage of the space. There are two comfortable armchairs in the windows for watching the tides and the sunset, and a deck with more chairs and tables outside. The kitchen was so meticulously set-up that I sent my son, who is a fan of "tiny houses," a few photos of the layout of dishes, cookware etc inside the cabinets - he was impressed. We had no difficulty cooking a range of nice meals despite the small space. We hope to have a chance to stay in this wonderful place again sometime soon.

    Piper2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • Words truly cannot describe this little place. My husband and I eloped from Iowa, and got married right there on the boat dock, and spend a week relaxing, seeing the local sites, eating lobster and oysters, and watching the trees start to turn colors. Our first time in Maine was unbelievable, and would not have been the same had we stayed somewhere else. We loved the winding, wooded roads, and just wish we had our motorcycle! This little cottage was perfect for the two of us. Well equipped with everything we needed. We loved cooking live lobsters, grilling steaks and burgers, and eating on the deck. Dick & Sharron are wonderful!! Always friendly when we saw them around the property, and we still felt secluded and in our own private space. We look forward to returning to Little Heaven again someday!! Best vacation of our lives!

    Sarah2019-09-21T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful space and hosts. Waking up on the water was truly inspiring.

    Jay2019-09-07T00:00:00Z
  • This is an amazing little spot on the water. Sharon and Dick were so helpful, but not intrusive. Life does not get much better than sitting on the deck, eating lobster and watching the seals.

    Cathryn2019-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • This cottage is truly an unforgettable slice of heaven. We had the best time staying here and felt right at home. The cottage itself was adorable, very clean and well organized, allowing us to make dinners and breakfasts everyday, as well as grill on the porch. We enjoyed nearby hiking and sightseeing, beautiful sunsets and blissful mornings. We loved how quiet the location was and its tranquility, with unique birds and a fresh ocean smell morning and night. Sharon and Dick were very welcoming and accommodating, and we felt very comfortable lounging on the porch and sitting on the dock off their property. All we can say is thank you so much for an unforgettable experience and we definitely plan to return! This place is Maine’s best kept secret, in my opinion ;)

We enjoyed hikes, galleries and a variety of restaurants in our 3 day stay. I loved being able to use their kayak. We would definitely go there again.

Situated at Horseshoe Cove, one of the most beautiful coves in Maine according to the Cruising Guide to the New England Coast--it opens out to the stunning islands of East Penobscot Bay. Swim off our pocket beach or body surf the tidal rapids on the incoming tide! Bring your kayak or canoe and use our pier and float. With wildlife sanctuaries on 2 sides of us there are plenty of hiking trails to explore. See bald eagles, osprey and other birds in abundance. You may spot a seal in the cove or a beaver in Fresh Pond. Bring your bike--there's great cycling to the coves and beaches of Cape Rosier. Cabin sleeps 3--2 in a double bed & one on the couch suitable for sleeping. There is a propane gas 2 -burner countertop cook stove. There is an outdoor picnic table. The outhouse is a short walk away. There's an enclosed outdoor hot water shower. Dogs are welcome. In the cooler weather you can keep yourself cozy with the Jotul wood stove. Rough it in style in the coastal Maine woods.
Cape Rosier is wooded and beautiful with many coves and beaches. The Holbrook Island Sanctuary is about 2,000 acres of preserved land with lots of trails. Blue Hill and Stonington are nearby and Acadia National Park is about 1-1/2 hours away by car. Bucks Harbor Market is 10 minutes away in South Brooksville as is Bucks Cafe for excellent dinner out(both are closed in the winter).
  • Kel and Sher’s place is lovely, clean and cozy - even in January! The wood stove does an incredible job heating the space. When we arrived (a little early) Kel was there cleaning out the stove pipe! He got the fire going for us so it was warm when we checked in. He was full of a lot of helpful, local information. When we went hiking for the day we noticed he had restocked the wood pile outside the cabin for us. It snowed overnight the weekend we stayed and it was really special to wake up to fresh snow on the beautiful pine trees outside the cabin.

  • Even in the off season this great little get-away kept us cozy and entertained. Bring plenty of food for your stay because you are a bit off the beaten path, but not too far for some daytime trips to some beautiful places.

  • Beautiful cabin, the stove kept it plenty warm

    Connor2019-11-15T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay at Two Pines. We especially loved the coziness of the cabin and the wood stove and the way it felt so connected to nature. We spent our time reading books and taking walks up to Holbrook Sanctuary and to the coast right on the property itself. You can see Kel and Sher's home from the cabin, so it's not like you have a fully solitary experience in the woods, but they were such warm and welcoming hosts and we were grateful to know we had such kind neighbors for the weekend. We definitely hope to return someday soon. What a lovely way to experience a magical place like Cape Roosier.

    Greta2019-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time at the Two Pines Cabin! It was very cozy and equipped. We had everything we needed and Kel had some awesome suggestions for things to do. The cabin is nicely built and very charming.

  • If you’re looking for a quiet cabin getaway in Nature, look no further! Kel’s place is unique and lovely, and he is a great host. He gave us amazing local tips that created a whole day’s adventure which we otherwise would not have known about. Would stay again! Be prepared for the wood burning stove, outdoor shower (awesome) and outhouse.

This modern, four-season cottage looks out over the Benjamin River, towards the Eggemoggin Reach. There is water access at high tide. Large glass windows flood the space with sun and provide gorgeous views. The single-story cottage sleeps four in the two bedrooms and could accommodate more on the couch in the living room. The beautiful, coastal setting provides the perfect location for a quiet getaway.
The house is situated only feet away from the tidal Benjamin River. Water views are possible from three sides of the house. The open-floor plan includes a fully equipped kitchen, dining area, and living room. The entire house is tiled, with radiant heat to ensure comfortable temperatures, no matter the season. The two bedrooms (one with a double bed, one with twin-size bunkbeds) each have access to a full bath. The master suite opens to the outdoor deck. Total privacy and seclusion is guaranteed. Enjoy the silence and the dark night skies.
Sedgwick is a small village on the Blue Hill Peninsula. It's very rural and quiet. Blue Hill (a 15-minute drive away) offers restaurants and shopping. Stonington, a picturesque fishing village, is also a short drive away (17 miles; about 1/2 hour). Lots of opportunities for hiking, boating, birdwatching, beachcombing, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, or just watching the tide come in and out.
  • Spent a wonderful winter vacation at Anne’s beautiful cottage. We loved every minute

    Jeri2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • This is a delightful retreat, a beautiful winter or summer stay. The furnishings could not be better, and the beauty of the water, the elegance of the cabin, and the opportunity to see brilliant stars at night made this a wonderful respite.

    Sanford2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • Anne is the most incredible host I’ve ever encountered. My partner had a very severe allergic reaction during our stay, and she was kind enough to drive me to the hospital. Beyond that incredible act of kindness, her cabin is one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever seen, her recommendations for local dining and sightseeing were incredible, and her hospitality was so warm and welcoming. I cannot recommend staying with Anne enough

    Kristy2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Anne was very responsive and even reached out the week of our stay to check in with us. Unfortunately, due to an illness in the family we had to cancel our trip. Anne’s quick and very thorough response to questions was very much appreciated.

    Bernie2020-01-17T00:00:00Z
  • Can't beat the waterfront location of Anne's place!

    Iona2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • Anne’s cottage is the perfect getaway. Everything you could need in the kitchen is at your fingertips. Each room is comfy and cozy. We loved the warm tile floor on chilly mornings. Then there’s the view...oh my, the view! Gorgeous!

    Jeri2019-12-31T00:00:00Z
  • This was my second stay here. I love Anne’s cottage. Here my blood pressure automatically goes down. The beautiful and ever changing views, the walks on the shore when the tide is out, the quiet, the efficient layout of the cottage, the comfortable furniture, cleanliness - just what is needed to recharge the batteries. (P.S. if you plan to cook a lot, knives need sharpening, or bring your own). Thanks Anne. You are definitely a Superhost!

    Hildegard2019-12-26T00:00:00Z

Make this cozy, contemporary studio apartment your home-away-from-home. Located just two blocks from downtown Camden, it's a five minute walk to downtown in one direction, or to one of the many trailheads in Camden Hills State Park in the other. In any season, our central location gives you access to the best of the Midcoast.
This studio apartment is a great get-away for an individual or couple visiting our area for vacation, work or both. The gas fireplace goes on with the push of a button, and a Rinnai propane heater efficiently heats the space in winter. In addition to the queen-sized bed, the couch converts futon-style to an additional sleeping area, perhaps for a younger member of your family. We lived in this apartment for ten months while renovating our home downstairs, and now welcome you to share all that Camden and Midcoast Maine have to offer.
We are lucky to live on one of the best streets in Camden, and it's almost like a best-kept secret. Tucked between the two main roads coming into Camden from inland towns, our street is just two blocks long, and meets up with Coastal Route 1 directly across from the Camden Public Library and Harbor Park. It's about an 8-minute walk (just past the harbor park) to our favorite breakfast & lunch spot, Boynton-McKay - the chef-owner is a friend, and he used to cook at world-renowned Primo Restaurant in Rockland. Camden is known as the town where the mountains meet the sea, and indeed, when the leaves drop in the fall, we have a beautiful view of Mount Battie and the Camden Hills beyond our backyard. The hiking trails in Camden Hills State Park, and our favorite place to swim, boat & paddle board - Megunticook Lake - are as close as a five-minute drive or short bike ride. If you want to downhill ski or get to the annual National Toboggan Championships, the Camden Snowbowl is less than a 10-minute drive. There are also lots of places nearby for cross-country skiing and snowshoeing. We feel really lucky to have landed in such a great neighborhood with so many of our favorite places so close by.
  • We had a great stay! The apartment was great and very complete. One of the best Airbnb experiences we’ve had so far.

    Joost2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • Very quiet, comfortable bed. Sarah greeted us when we arrived and gave us a tour. Easy to walk into town.

    Ed2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely place near the heart of Camden harbor and near picturesque Rockport harbor. Enjoyed the cozy apartment and Jason and Sarah. Highly recommend it!

  • Fantastic location, perfect amenities, private and quiet yet just 2 blocks from downtown. Very nice touches throughout the space. Perfect.

    Catherine2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • if you want to hike up Mt. Battie, it is exactly 1 mile from the house to the top. downtown Camden is about 1/2 mile. the space is as described and very comfortable. we loved the location.

    Steve2019-09-10T00:00:00Z
  • Jason & Sarah's place is ideally located to walking into and around town - which we typically did a few times a day. It also ideally located in mid-coast Maine; making Belfast, Rockland, and Rockport fairly quick drives. Camden can't be beat for it's natural New England harbor-side beauty.

    John2019-08-30T00:00:00Z
  • Cute and cozy place, walking distance to everything including the main street and hiking trails! Perfect little spot to stay in Camden! Would stay there again!!

    Kristin2019-08-24T00:00:00Z
  • Sending you a big hug since I had to leave before saying goodbye personally. Your Camden pied-a-terre was the perfect location, comfortable, super clean, great light, well stocked, and charming. I was wishing my workshop hadn't kept me so busy so I could spend a little more time just relaxing in the apartment. Terrific meeting Sarah & Jason -- such lovely people. Great neighborhood, it was very peaceful and private. Hope our paths cross again soon. Thanks!

  • The cabin is amazing! I stayed only 3 nights, too short to explore everything around there though ;) Marci was really sweet and everything was super clean and as perfect as one could hope for. The fireplace is amazing for a cold evening :)

  • Second time we stayed here. Lovely place

    Bart2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • We had such a great time staying in this quaint cabin. Marci was so kind as to let us have our pup stay there as well! She made checking in and checking out seamless and was very accommodating and quick to respond with any questions we had. The property is beautiful and you get the best of both worlds of being hidden in the tranquil woods of Rockport Maine and only a minute drive to the ocean views! Thank you for being such a great host Marci!

    Julianne2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • The location is close to sevices but feels secluded. Has a nice open living area and kitchen with fireplace, comfortable seating, games and a large tv. Having the in unit washer/dryer was so helpful. We enjoyed a cozy christmas in this beautiful cabin in the woods!

    Gretchen2019-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful place; Marci is very responsive and very cordial. It’s beautifully decorated and had everything I needed.

    Susan2019-12-13T00:00:00Z
  • This is a lovely cabin that has all the comforts of home. Marci was very communicative throughout our stay. It is conveniently located between Rockland and Camden. We enjoyed our stay and we plan on returning in the future.

    Lucy2019-11-30T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful, cozy stay at Marci's place! The cabin itself is very well-appointed (the working fireplace, smart TV/wifi, and openness to canines was absolutely critical given the lousy weather we were granted during our stay), and the location can't be beat by anything in this budget.

  • Our second stay at Evelyn’s place was just as comfortable as was our first. It is exceptionally clean and cozy, and located in close proximity to a lovely nature preserve - very convenient for someone travelling with dogs. Will certainly stay here again if I happen to travel through this part of Maine.

"The Lair" is a just recently renovated small 200 square foot cabin with vaulted ceilings and plenty of natural sunlight. The building is located close to Green Tree Coffee and Tea, a coffee roaster, so the aroma of coffee will be in the air. We located about 400 yards South of the Islesboro Ferry and Lincolnville Beach and 2.4 milres North of Camden Hills State Park and Mount Battie. Free coffee and tea everyday, all day! We are closed for Winter, will re-open Mid-April. Thank you.
  • Great hospitality! Adorable little cabin that makes efficient use of space with pretty wood.

    Disha2019-11-11T00:00:00Z
  • Gorgeous cozy cabin located right off rout 1. The perfect spot to spend the night! Even if you don’t stay at the Airbnb Green Tree Coffee & Tea is a must visit! 10/10!

    Piper2019-11-08T00:00:00Z
  • If you travel lightly and don’t need lots of space and lounging indoors, this is a great spot and responsive host. Be sure to pop in for coffee each morning at their lovely roaster 20 paces away!

    Robert2019-11-07T00:00:00Z
  • The Lair was convenient, clean, and includes delicious coffee roasted on site!

    Jason2019-11-04T00:00:00Z
  • For us this place was ideal. The perfect base for our Maine excursions with the added bonus of great coffee and local insight from John and that staff (in our case Amber) at Green Tree. Quite the value and exactly as advertised. If you like what you read in the listing you will not be disappointed with the end result. We'll definitely be back.

    Lawrence2019-10-30T00:00:00Z
  • The Lair was a fun, warm, clean, comfy place to stay! This shed turned to a well thought out cabin was a unique find for us on our Maine road trip. Set right next to the coastal highway, behind the owners coffee house, the location was perfect. John suggested a local restaurant that was down the road, where we had a great dinner. And you get to enjoy John's fresh roasted coffee on the house! We suggest trying the Breve coffee!

    Doug & Dianne2019-10-25T00:00:00Z
  • The Lair is simply wonderful!! It is a cozy little spot to return to each day after exploring Lincolnville, Belfast, Camden, etc. It is so conveniently located and so overall inviting, you just can't go wrong. John and the folks at the shop are warm and helpful. Daily they invited in my dog Chandler and myself for tea/coffee and "cookies" and gave suggestions for area hikes, restaurants, etc. Really, it was the best. Gorgeous area. Fabulous cabin. Great people. I can't wait to return!

    Carol2019-10-24T00:00:00Z
  • Jake and I (and our two black labs) had a great time visiting John’s “lair” in the little town of lincolnville. The coffee at green tree (on premies) was amazing!!! I really never knew what good coffee tasted like until this past weekend (Throwing away the kurig... haha). The Lair was quaint, peaceful, and had just enough space for us. During the day we visited many neighboring areas including Camden, Castine, Belfast, Rockland, and more! We ate at some amazing places (thanks to johns recommendations). We will be back, next time for more then two days!

Featured in The Culture Trip as the #1 "Entire U.S. islands you can rent on Airbnb" Oak Island proves to be the most breathtaking Airbnb Island, located off the coast of Camden, Maine. Best described as a vacation off the beaten path, Oak Island allows you to escape the everyday chaos on your own 23 acre private island. With panaramic views and wildlife around every corner, it's the perfect get away for friends and family with plenty of camping real estate across the island.
Oak Island is perhaps one of the most beautiful islands in the North Atlantic. Everywhere you look, is a Kodak moment. The lighting changes continually with atmospheric conditions as well as the time of day, making Oak Island a photographers dream come true and the nature lovers paradise. The great nature photographer Elliot Porter, photographed this area surrounding oak island extensively. Oak Island is approximately 27 acres at low tide and 17 acres at high tide with six different beaches located around it's over one mile of shoreline. There are several miles of hiking trails throughout the island. There is even a beach we call Skip rock beach which is made up of perfectly sized flat stones for skipping rocks. From May through October hundreds of different species of wildflowers are cycling through Oak Island has expanses of open meadows as well as spruce forests, sumac forests, juniper ,oak, lupine, beach rose and bayberry as well as gooseberries and cherry. The beach roses vary in color from Snow White to deep purple. Bald eagles are daily visitors and deer pass through from time to time. Oak Island has some of the most spectacular sunsets and sunrises ever. You can enjoy them on the 60 foot high knoll named Parkers Peak just behind the main cabin. Swimming on one of Oak islands many beaches is really amazing the water is crystal clear and very clean and very cold. If you swim in June, you are really, really tough as the water temperature is generally only in the 50s. By July, the water temperature reaches the low to mid 60s. By August and September water temperatures could be pushing 70 especially on a hot sunny day on the incoming tide. You can actually swim and enjoy the water without turning blue. Look at the upside, the water is too cold for sharks although you might come out with a couple of lobsters hanging on your toes. Speaking of lobsters, lobster boats pass around the island almost daily pulling their lobster traps. If you'd like to have some fresh lobsters just flag over one of the boats and get plenty of fresh lobsters usually at well below market price. And if you enjoy mussels, there are millions of them on the rocks. Best to pick them at dead low tide. It is best to clean the mussels after you pick them by scraping the barnacles off of the shells. If you do not, particles of Barnacle could get inside the muscle shell and it is very annoying to chew on a piece of barnacle shell while enjoying your delicious mussel. WE HAVE SOME NICE DRONE FOOTAGE OF OAK SHOWING SOME OF THE BEACHES. PLEASE NOTE THE CLARITY OF THE WATER ....... ENJOY ACCOMMODATIONS There are two sets of accommodations on the island for you. The main cabin is located on a knoll at an elevation of about 50 feet. It faces south, west and north. It is a one room cottage approximately 16' x 24' with a 10 foot deck running on three sides of the cottage. Inside the cabin is a gas refrigerator, and a propane cook stove and a small kitchen area. There is also a foldout futon, a sleeping area for two along the glass windows in the front of the cabin. Also a sitting area with a small library. There is also a newly built small sleeping cabin dubbed O.I.L.S. Oak Island Love Shack. The love shack, is right above the water facing east so you get those beautiful sunrises and the sound of the waves lapping against the shore while you sleep in the evening. It is one room about 12' x 14' with a queen size bed that is made from driftwood found around the island shoreline. This sleeping cottage has an enormous deck of about 15 feet wide on three sides of the cabin. Note: linens and towels are not supplied. UTILITIES Electricity in the main cabin is provided by solar. You must conserve power or you could run out. We have never run out yet but if you have several cloudy days and you're using a lot of electricity that could happen. There is a shower under the main cabin as well as solar Sun bag showers available. It's also just as easy to heat up a bucket of water and have a bucket bath. Also there is an outdoor toilet, there is no plumbing. Cell phones generally work fine on the island sometimes you may have to move around a bit to get the proper location. Water is collected in vats from rain. It is fine for showering and cleaning etc. but not the drinking. You need to bring your drinking water. We recommend those 2 1/2 to 5 gallon jugs that you can buy in the grocery store. GETTING THERE If you do not have your own boat we can arrange a charter for you from Travis with Fox Island Charters. The prices vary based on pick up location (North Haven, Rockland, or Camden). We'll put you in direct contact with Travis to schedule and coordinate your travel.
  • What an amazing place! My new husband and I are avid campers and came here for part of our honeymoon, and if you bring all the food and water you need, it is basically glamping with all of the fun adventurous parts of camping and all of the comforts of a real bed, fridge, and stove. Waking up to the sunrise in the Love Shack, exploring the island, eating lobsters, and watching the sunset from the main cabin was incredible to say the least. We hope to come back again soon!

    Victoria2019-09-07T00:00:00Z
  • This is an awesome vacation spot. Bring a lot of drinking water in case the rainwater runs out. There are new types of mosquito repellent and mosquito avoiding devices that help make this stay more comfortable. Brace yourselves for very cold water. Enjoy the total immersion in nature, starry nights, birds, wild flowers and beautiful sailboats passing by. This place is truly unique!

    David2019-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • If you’re curious about the Maine coast and have an outdoorsy, rugged, self-sufficient heart you will absolutely love Oak Island. The two buildings are perfectly cosy, and our group of four adults and three dogs had ample room to cook, sleep and hang out between the two. Multiple beaches, rocky tide pools, and trails gave us plenty to explore and our dog still is trying to recover from all the exercise. We clocked a wide variety of birds (arctic terns and loons were highlights), a couple of seals, many live sea urchins, hermit crabs, starfish (look closely at lowest tide), periwinkles, and we think a porpoise. No blackfies, but when the breeze wasnt heavy enough mosquitoes in the thickets (none at the beach). Plenty of kitchen gear, a BBQ grill, and a few propane burners to cook great meals all week. Out in the sun it was pretty hot for Maine, but in the cabins the breeze and shade kept us comfortably cool. At night, The Milkyway and 4th of July fireworks from about six different towns on the horizon lit up the sky. Rustic, off the grid island living doesn’t get much better.

    Matthew2019-07-06T00:00:00Z
  • Parker's island is a piece of haven. Travis, who will bring you there with his boat, is super nice and efficient and the boat ride itself is great (Travis stopped on the way to point out seals and eagles for us). The island itself is marvellous. Trails go around it and, despite the relatively small size of it, the landscape and vegetation are varied and wonderful. We were there in mid-September, it was beautiful, the temperature was conformable (even allowing a short swim in the ocean) and we had no problem with bugs or mosquitos (which I understand from other reviews are there in other times of the year). The house is basic but super comfortable. Water depends on rain and electricity on the sun, so you might not have much of those. Remember to bring candles, torches and abundant water. There is another, even nicer, house a few minutes away but we did not use it as we were only three friends. We loved every second of our (unfortunately short) stay and would love to go back in the future.

  • If you are an adventurer who loves exploring Maine and loves islands, Oak Island is the place for you. We were a party of five ranging from 2 years to 71. All of us enjoyed the experience. There was enough to keep us active for the entire 7 days. Bring kites and take them to the meadow, bring your suit for swimming in the different beaches. Bring your blankets and sweaters for cold nights. Bring food to grill and s’more fixings for a fire on the beach. Bring your hiking shoes for exploring all the books and crannies. Bring mosquito repellent and fly traps! Leave your stresses behind you and welcome peace, tranquility, beauty beyond measure. Bring your stories for telling, your riddles and jokes, learn to bake on the grill! Bring your radio to listen to the baseball games. Bring your wonder and marvel at the night sky. We will be back! You come too!

    Andrew2018-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • A great place for an extended outdoor adventure. Beautiful views and beaches all around the island. A great place to find peace and quiet.

    Anthony2018-07-14T00:00:00Z
  • You will be amazed at the beauty!!!!!! I went in the end of September and the weather was perfect. Warm sunny days and cool crisp nights that if you were to go outside around 2:30-3:00 in the morning, you will see the Milky Way and most likely many shooting stars. Very little city lights to hinder star gazing. You will also find walking paths throughout the island. They will take you to all sorts of hidden places with breathtaking views. No lack of scenery anywhere you look. The wrap-a-deck on the main cottage is spectacular with an 180 degree view looking north. Distant islands like, Bear, Fling, Eagle and Great Spuce Head Island can be seen very easily on fogless days. On the southern side of the island is the,"Sleeping Cabin." This is the perfect cabin for a couple. Paradise!!! On those windy days make the best of them and bring a kite. The northeastern field is a great spot for a day of kite flying. But, on still days with no wind the mosquitoes can be fierce. Absolutely bring bugs spray with DEET. It's the only thing that works. Homeopathic stuff will just not do. There is no running water. The outdoor shower runs by gravity. All water to clean dishes and drink is rain water that is collected and held in large barrels. For drinking water, I brought a filter that I could pump the water from the barrel into my water bottles. Or just buy plenty of drinking water at Hannafords supermarket in Camden. For dish washing, I boiled the water in a big lobster pot just to be on the safe side, and there is plenty of propane to do this. There is a "Privy," or outhouse on the southern side of island which is a minute walk down the path which has a wonderful view during your private time. So bring your "Bum Wad." Toilet paper that is. Barney Appleton is your way out to the island. He will pick you at, "Steamboat Landing," in Camden with his lobster boat. It has ample room for all your friends and or family and supplies. Barney is a terrific fella and a wealth of information. The island is perfect in my view. I will do it again next year or even earlier. I hope this is helpful

  • We had an absolutely delightful time. A trip of a lifetime. Perfect set-up for 8 people or so, and an exceptional value. Amazing 360 degree views of the island and the bay. Non stop outdoor activities for children (teens), snorkeling, fishing, swimming, and more. Highly recommend.

We were arriving late so I messaged James to let them know and the office answered right away and said the key would be there waiting for me, no problem at all. The space itself was so beautiful, spacious and cozy. That bed is the best!! This cottage really had everything we needed and had such nice touches, like the toiletries and the coffee. Not to mention, the proximity to Camden was really nice, as well. Hope to be back very soon! Thank you for the peaceful escape!!

  • Charming and cozy and very clean. Host was easy to communicate to. The view was spectacular. We had someone in the adjoining unit and only heard the occasional plumbing sound. Plenty of space for clothes and toiletries. Because we returned so often after dark I appreciated that it was very easy to find at night with a well marked driveway.

  • We had a wonderful time staying at the Owls Head cottage. The place is fantastic. We got there after our check in so he left a little letter with a hand drawn map and my name on it. We loved the personal touch added! Kept the letter as a nice memory. Got to chat a little with James and enjoyed it a lot. Just confirmed what I always thought of people from Maine- AMAZING. Thank you so much for everything!

  • A very quiet hillside stay with friendly staff. The fireplace was an added bonus, especially for the time of year. This has all the convenience of being close to downtown Camden and Lincolnville yet still feels secluded from travelers on Route 1.

Beautiful coastal cottage with spectacular views. Enjoy dramatic sunsets in a large yard overlooking islands. Close drive to Rockland, Camden and many other local attractions such as vineyards, museums and lighthouses. Spend your days kayaking the protected harbor, or relaxing with a good book in the Adirondack chairs. Ideal setting for outdoor cookouts and breakfast in the morning. Come enjoy everything Maine has to offer in this charming cottage! Small dogs OK - PUGS always welcome!
This is an amazing cottage with a large yard overlooking the Atlantic Ocean! The stunning views are constantly changing. While there are many places to explore on the Island and beyond, nothing yet has beaten the experience of sitting out by the rocks. A gas grill and lobster cooking set up is provided, along with a full propane tank. Large picnic table outside. Full kitchen with oven, sink and everything you'll need such as cookware, utensils and cooking oils/spices. Lobster kits too! Storage available in shed if needed. Parking for 2. cars on scene. ***Please note*** most of the Island is run off collected rain water and is the norm for cottages on the ocean as there is no way to drill a well. It's fine for showering as it's filtered and treated, but not suitable for drinking or cooking. You will need spring water. A couple gallons will be provided but it's recommended you make a Wal-Mart run to stock up. Cable TV and Wi-Fi are available. Your best entertainment is right outside the door, but sometimes you just want to put your feet up and watch a baseball game or a movie. The loft bedroom has 2 single beds and is ideal for kids as the ceiling is low. There is a secured ladder that leads up. There are railings to protect anyone up there and the beds are on the other side. Linens and Towels will be provided. The main bedroom and bathroom are insulated with baseboard heat. The kitchen, living/dining room do not have heat, but it has never been necessary during summer months. There is no kayak launch on the property but plenty of good spots on the island (1-2 min drives max.) I'll be happy to share them with you upon request.
A quiet neighborhood overlooking a working lobster harbor. It is not a party island. Many people on the island may enjoy themselves by a campfire at night, but it is not the place for loud parties into the night.
  • Our family had a wonderful experience at Rick's Cottage. The view is spectacular and there are many things in the area to see and do. We enjoyed exploring Rockland, checking out Birch Point Beach, Owl's Head State Park and of course dining at McLoon's. Also check out the Gnome lady by Waterman Beach, we brought one home as a memory from our great trip. We brought our 2 1/2 year old with us, so the loft area was not appropriate for her age (which we expected but share for other parent's benefits) and a blow up toddler bed worked great for her. Rick has offered many recommendations for a variety of interested, we highly recommend.

    Ashlee2019-09-03T00:00:00Z
  • Great rustic cabin with spectacular views of the near by islands and Penobscot Bay. Mcloons lobster shack is a couple hundred yards down the road and has everything you need for lunch or dinner. Great fast and courteous service with well prepared seafood. Get your Lobsta fix on!

    Alexander2019-08-21T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful stay at Rick's house. We spent as much time as we could relaxing and enjoying the view. He was very helpful and we had everything we needed for our stay.

    Melissa2019-08-09T00:00:00Z
  • If you want to relax by the ocean while watching the lobster boats and enjoy beautiful views STAY HERE! We just got back yesterday and I already want to return! This is by far the best vacation rental we have had. The house is perfect and comfortable. The views are outstanding and there is a world class lobster shack right around the corner. Also very easy to go to any of the surrounding towns. Rick has all of the local information in a book and it was really handy. He called to make sure all was well and suggested many places of interest and made suggestions based on our interests; I am a photographer and he went out of his way to make sure I knew where the most scenic places were. The house has everything you need - dishes, linens, extra blankets, books, nice shower and bathroom and a loft if you have guests. It is perfect for two people and the loft takes care of any (able-bodied) guests. The chairs overlooking the ocean were perfect - spent every morning and evening out there. I would have been happy to just stay there and not go anywhere for the week. We will definitely come back, thank you so much Rick for your personalized help!

    Cindy2019-07-20T00:00:00Z
  • Rick was an amazing host. Offered so many recommendations and history of the area. The views from the cottage are absolutely priceless. It exceeded all of our expectations! Thank you Rick for letting us and the dogs enjoy your special place. We had such a great time and came home very relaxed!

    Scott2019-07-12T00:00:00Z
  • This place is terrific! It’s centrally located between Portland and Bar Harbor, so the drive to either is a couple of hours. Honestly, though, if you want to relax by the water within walking distance of a great place to get lobster, this property fits the bill. We will definitely come back and stay here!

    Frederick2019-07-06T00:00:00Z
  • The place is wonderful. The view can't be beat. Rick was very helpful and informative. We enjoyed our stay!

    Sara2019-06-26T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage was adorable and sitting out on the lawn watching the lobster boats come and go was so peaceful. The moon rise over the bay was just incredible.

  • Jillian’s place was a perfect home base while attending the Cabin Fever film festival in Camden. We appreciated Jillian’s communication, directions, and clear expectations. We enjoyed cooking in the well-stocked kitchen and sitting by the fireplace. Jillian’s place is clean, cozy, and a good value!

    Meg2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Jillian's place is absolutely amazing. My husband and I arrived later in the evening and had to stop, look up, and admire how many stars we were able to see. It was an great break from the light pollution in the city. The apartment was sparkling clean and had the coziest feeling to it. The fireplace kept us cozy and warm and was an absolute delight. Jillian was great at communicating with us and provided us with great tips for local places. We had all the amenities we wanted and needed to have a relaxing weekend away. We will definitely return! Thank you so much Jillian and Matt!

  • We had originally booked James' place for 2 nights as we weren't sure what to expect since this was our first time visiting Maine's coastal areas. We absolutely loved the area, the room, the atmosphere and friendliness so much that we decided to stay an extra 2 days with a very easy arrangement for the additional 2 days. Would def stay again and have recommended to friends!

  • We had an excellent stay at The Lodge. We especially loved having trail access right outside the door! The room was very clean, the bed was exceedingly comfortable, and the views were great. The WiFi was unreliable, but we were there to relax and unplug anyhow. Very friendly staff, highly recommend!

Rustic little Maine cottage on mahogany deck with outdoor shower overlooking flower gardens and Long Cove. Sweet and simple. Two rooms plus galley kitchen with eating area. Walking, swimming, and boating. Your artist host available in adjacent house.
This prototypical Maine summer cottage includes a large private deck facing a saltwater cove. Kitchen sliders open onto deck and bring sea breezes to you. Full indoor bathroom but our outdoor shower caps your summer swimming and boating experience. A true New England, eco-friendly guest house!
Rural Deer Isle, Maine living is a throwback to a gentler era in which all neighbors know and support each other, there are no traffic lights on the island, and no chain stores/billboards/commercial advertising of any kind. Stonington Harbor is Maine's busiest commercial lobster fishery with 300+ independently owned and operated small fishing vessels making it their home. When you come over our 1939 bridge across Eggemoggin Reach you get away to a different world.
  • This cozy cottage is in a beautiful setting. It’s close to everything and Judith has supplied you with oodles of information about everything and any kind of activity that could interest you. Her info is spot on, her communication excellent. The pet greeters are the sweetest things with fur on 4 feet. Don’t be deceived by the photos - it is actually larger than it looks and, if some of you are sleeping on the futon in the living room, there’s even a way to close it off so others in the rest of the house don’t disturb you if they stay up later or get up earlier. Deer Isle is a wonderful place, this is a cozy place to stay, and Judith’s copious info about the island will let you select all the best it has to offer.

    Barbara2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • This little cottage is a lovely and comfortable oasis. It served us well as an excellent base camp to explore the island and down east Maine. We slept here better than I can recall in years. We found ourselves not want for anything; and not wanting to leave.

    Russell2019-10-10T00:00:00Z
  • Judith's Artists cottage was clean and well kept inside and out! We enjoyed all aspects of the cottage and the outside shower was perfect. The house was comfortable for cooking, relaxing and reading and was easy to find with Judith's directions. Judith's dog, Jackson, was a treat especially since he tolerated our dog Fiona, who is more of a 3 year old puppy. Best of all, we thought Judith was a great person as well as a great host!! We'll be back if Judith will have us!!

  • I stayed here for 2 months. The cottage, location and Judith's (and partner Linda) hospitality exceeded my expectations. This was my first visit to this area of Maine. The villages of Deer Isle & Stonington offer many hiking trails, a great farmers market, the Stonington Opera House, and a number of casual and acclaimed restaurants in Stonington and the nearby Blue Hill. The description and photos accurately describe this idyllic cottage. The cottage is located among beautiful gardens and fruit trees. The deck is a great location to spend mornings with your coffee or enjoying an afternoon cocktail looking out to the cove. Jack, Nellie and Olive were welcoming pets. A wonderful experience I hope to duplicate someday.

    Ernie2019-09-28T00:00:00Z
  • Judith’s place is a treasure, collections of many beautiful things collected over time from old photographs to perfectly rounded stacking rocks to potted succulents draping luxuriously in window sills. Breakfast of the world’s best granola, locally roasted coffee, and berry jams on dark toasted hot walnut/raisin toast with farm fresh butter melted to glaze. Beds that we all fell asleep in instantly, impossibly comfortable. Gardens bursting with life and filled with busy bees harvesting thighfuls of pollen. Friendly conversation, tips about local artists and farms, glorious island hikes, and cold water swims on pebbly beaches. Loved this place. What a privilege.

    Camela2019-08-02T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely place, beautiful grounds, perfectly clean and comfortable. Bright starry skies at night and almost complete silence for great sleeping. Perfect deck for sitting and reading. Easy access on and off the island for exploring. Judith is a thoughtful and attentive host. Just what I was looking for.

    Caroline2019-07-27T00:00:00Z
  • This was our third year returning to Judith’s cottage on Deer Isle, and we’ll wait impatiently until we return next summer. The space is so homey, perfect to sit quietly and watch the scenery, swim in the cove, or enjoy the company of Judith or her cat. Deer Isle continues to be a place we can grow into - returning to old favorites and discovering new ones. We didn’t leave the island at all for the whole week.

Oceanfront GLAMPING. This truly unique waterside cabin is literally just feet from the ocean! If you want to be "on the water" then this is your spot...!
The cabin is newly built with rustic charm, vaulted ceilings & exposed beams and pine floors. A bank of windows and sliding glass doors face Penobscot Bay and islands where you can see for miles. Gaze all day at sailboats, seabirds and seals at dusk (when they feed)....! This is a clean and comfortable cabin with basic amenities. Enjoy the simplicity of battery powered lights & a clean and pleasant outhouse in the woods. Cabin is comfortable with only basic necessities. What more do you need...??
Private location just north of the Ducktrap River on Penobscot Bay. Belfast and Camden are just 10-15 minutes away.
  • There’s something about sleeping next to the sea that just fills your soul! Kate’s place is a dream! It definitely has a “glamping” vibe without running water or a bathroom, but walking 1 minute up to the house for these things was a breeze! The shack itself is so cozy and the bed is a DREAM!!! We even had the pleasure of kayaking over a school of fish and watching a seal swim and play right outside our window! I would highly recommend staying here!

    Lisa2019-10-28T00:00:00Z
  • Kayaking is a must in the morning with flat water. Hottub was great definitely recommend. Kate was an excellent host. I will be recommending this spot to friends. • We LOVED this little boat house! It is literally right on the water. Fabulous location, very quiet and private, but close to lots to see and do in this area. The whole front of the cottage is windows looking out to sea. One day we snuggled in with a good book and watched a wild storm blow through. The next day, we awakened to sunlight glistening off the blue water and pure blue sky! We also enjoyed watching a pair of eagles that were busy right on the shore in front of us.Would definitely recommend this rental.

    Amy2019-06-09T00:00:00Z
  • We LOVED our stay. The view and sounds of the water as well as the beautiful breeze are so refreshing and miraculous. We felt completely recharged. Kate went out of her way to make sure we were taken care of. We will definitely be back.

  • We had a fabulous long weekend at The Far Away Place, we escaped the hectic world and enjoyed our own little piece of paradise. The home is in a beautiful setting and the views from the dining room onto the pond were divine... I ended up getting up more than once each night just to look out the windows at the pond. I love the sound of Loons and the pair that live on this pond were swooning @ 2am. The home was clean and comfortable, wonderfully furnished and the kitchen was well equipped. We slept great. It was in a perfect location, near to great hiking spots, Camden and Belfast. One of the Highlights of our trip was The Lincolnville Center General Store... They had an awesome selection of healthy choices, fresh local produce, fresh baked goods and a prepared dishes that were delicious. The pizza was excellent. It was near enough we ended up going at least once a day. I was definitely sad to leave... Our host was available, but not intrusive in the least.

The Southend is a friendly and vibrant oasis in Rockland. Located close to all restaurants, museums and points of interest, our neighborhood is a perfect base from which to explore the area. It is a working waterfront neighborhood with the boats, people, noise and action commonly associated with such an environment. I am saddened to say that I will be only accepting reservations until the end of April. Then this Airbnb will close. Thank you.
The second floor apartment of The Daniel W. Look House is located on Mechanic Street , the southern border of the Southend, with water views over the harbor towards Owls Head. The entry way foyer and stairs lead up to the open living room and kitchen. To to the left the bedrooms, with the queen suite looking out over the Sail, Power and Steam Museum. There is a full bathroom including a washer and dryer stack. The whole apartment has just been completely renovated from fresh paint, fresh sheets and refurbished white pine floors.
The neighborhood includes The Coastal Children's Museum, The Maine Coastal Islands National Wildlife Refuge Visitor Center and the Sail, Power and Steam Museum. There are many Victorian houses to view and plenty of shaded streets to stroll. It is a short stroll into town along the Boardwalk. Lots to explore and experience.

The apartment is really nicer than the photos. Rooms were clean and cozy and the location was perfect. We could walk on a waterfront trail from the apartment to the town in 15 minutes. We highly recommend this Airbnb for your next stay in the beautiful coastal towns of Maine.

  • Great place for easy access to Rockland, but on a nice, quiet street. Very spacious second floor, 2 bedroom apartment with lots of good light. Nicely decorated with comfortable furniture. The only thing we would have liked to have had is a microwave. But that in no way made our rating less than 5 stars!

The "Crystal Palace" is a small semi-detached cottage connected by a bridge to the main house on our property. The property sits on 10 acres of land at the foot of Mt. Battie and there are hiking opportunities right out the back door. The kitchenette has cooking facilities available to cook breakfast and the occasional meal. (No dishwasher) There is a queen bed in the bedroom and a fold out bed in the living room, but it is definitely a one bedroom dwelling.
The Crystal Palace is a profusion of flowers during the warm season - and a Winter Wonderland in the snowy season. It is at all times comfy and cozy, and is well heated in the winter, and has a small air conditioner in the bedroom for the occasional "Maine muggy night".
The Crystal Palace is a 1.3 mile walk into town, and the owners walk it often in the summer. It is however all downhill one way and all uphill the other. Once in town, Camden has a lot to offer, from award winning restaurants, to sailing trips in Penobscot Bay, events at the local opera house and some excellent hiking around the local towns and in the Camden Hills State Park. Your hosts have lived in Camden for 22 years and are very knowledgeable about the local area and events.
  • This was my favorite Airbnb experience so far. The crystal palace is such an adorable and cozy getaway with natural beauty all around and so many thoughtful touches to make the place even more special and unique. It’s a very short walk into Camden for those who wish to just get out and explore. I really enjoyed staying here and wish I could have stayed longer. I hope to come back in the future. Thank you for your kindness.

  • Stay at the Crystal Palace! It won’t disappoint in any way!

  • Tim and Joyce’s place is everything you want for a private getaway yet walkable to anything you need...and they are most charming hosts..I would definitely love to stay again.

  • Looking for something a little off the beaten path? Look no further.

    Howard2019-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed a lovely sojourn at the very comfortable and cozy Crystal Palace on the outskirts of Camden town, which was a great base for exploring the local region. Coming from Camden, turn immediately left after passing the "Addams Family" house (on the right). Wend your way uphill past the Bed & Breakfast, and the Pink House, and turn hard right at the BIG FLY. Be sure to ask Tim about the amazing life of the intrepid Jasmine Lawrence, born in Egypt, raised in India, and transplanted to Tasmania. Whether TG Lawrence is the grandson of DH Lawrence or perhaps even TE Lawrence (of Arabian fame) was not disclosed. But he is undoubtedly related to Errol Flynn (after all, everyone knows that all Taswegians are related ... even those who were not actually born in Tasmania) which also explains why today he has one foot in Australia, one foot in England, and one foot in America :D

    Jules2019-10-11T00:00:00Z
  • Tim and Joyce were wonderful hosts who made sure that we had everything that we needed and were always available if we had a question. It was a short ride to downtown Camden and yet removed enough to be very peaceful. We enjoyed the warm hospitality, all of the necessities stocked in the kitchen, and loved being so close to downtown. And dog-friendly to boot!

    Rachel2019-10-07T00:00:00Z
  • We arrived at the enchanting crystal palace and were enthusiastically greeted by Tim and Joyce. They were so kind and offered to help with anything we needed, of course the cozy spot was so well set up we didn’t need a thing! There was even a selection of puzzles, cards and board games which was so nice to come back to after a hike or during a rainy day. The location was very convenient, minutes from downtown Camden and only 20 minutes from Rockland. If we come up through Maine again we’d love to stay here!

    Abergavenny2019-10-04T00:00:00Z
  • If there were 6 stars available... I'd complain that I can't given 7! The crystal palace is a place to stay a while, a home to enjoy, a refuge to relax. The heartfelt hospitality of Joyce and Tim were genuine, and all those little details show that they really welcome their guests and want to make them feel home. Thanks for everything!

If you’ve ever fantasized about living in a restored barn, this is an opportunity to give it a try. The rental is an apartment in a barn that is attached to the small farmhouse with a shared ell. It is private, yet your hosts are just steps away. The house sits atop a hill overlooking a cove on Vinalhaven, an island 12 miles off shore from Rockland, Maine, accessed by the Maine State Ferry Service. The ferry ride to the island is approximately one hour and twenty minutes, and is a colorful introduction to the island, filled with visitors and locals returning from shopping on the mainland, kids, dogs and shopping carts in tow. The house is in a working neighborhood - fishermen, caretakers, carpenters, professionals, as well as some summer residents. There are cove and ocean views from the apartment’s upstairs bedroom, yet it is in a cozy neighborhood just a ten minute walk from Vinalhaven’s tiny waterfront downtown, which has a library, church, a medical center, art gallery, a few restaurants, a good market, a wine and cheese shop and a coffee shop. In the summer there is a weekly flea market and the local fisherman’s co-op has lobsters minutes from the sea. Visitors like to hike the many nature preserves and explore the stony beaches and working waterfront. Cell phone coverage is limited on the island, but there is wireless internet. A small sunny deck off the open-plan kitchen/dining/living area looks out over the lawn and garden. The kitchen is fully equipped, and there is a beautiful Danish woodstove for use if the nights are chilly. The upstairs bath has a soaking tub with handheld shower. Please note that after Labor Day the island is much quieter - restaurants may be closed or have more limited hours, etc.
We love the mix of people in our neighborhood - year-rounders, summer people, and everything in between. If you are looking for a very private, more isolated setting, it may not be the best choice for you. Most folks who stay find it really nice to be close to 'everything'. (It's a small place!)
  • Another great vacation at the barn on Vinalhaven. You really couldn't ask for a vacation accommodation that feels more like home. We had plenty of fun exploring the island and hiking, but when it got cold or misty we curled up in front of the wood stove with a book and a cup of tea and felt right at home. Loved it.

    Zachary2019-10-17T00:00:00Z
  • This is a beautiful place with a great location and incredible hosts! The space was clean, cozy, and welcoming. There were many thoughtful touches around the house (fresh scones when we arrived, flowers and root vegetables from the garden, maps and brochures for Vinalhaven’s many preserves) and Anna gave us some great recommendations for what to see and do around the island. We’re already wanting to plan another trip!

    Haley2019-10-12T00:00:00Z
  • So comfortable. A thoughtful focus on simple living. Nostalgic without being old. This was above and beyond my expectations and I hope I have an opportunity to come back.

    Michelle2019-09-16T00:00:00Z
  • Georgeanne’s barn apt is beautiful, clean and simply, but functionally furnished. We loved the amazing garden. The bed and bedding were very comfortable and kitchen was wonderfully appointed. We cooked all our meals in and incorporated seasonal goodies from the garden: raspberries, blueberries, tomatoes, fresh herbs and lettuce. We would love to come back! Cindy and Bill

    Cynthia2019-09-05T00:00:00Z
  • Anna was a wonderful host. My wife and I had the best time staying in the beautiful refurbished barn and greatly enjoyed exploring the beautiful garden directly outside the door. If we come back to Vinalhaven, we will definitely try to stay here again, and will be recommending this location to all of our friends and family!

    Taylor2019-08-27T00:00:00Z
  • A beautiful spot, a home away from home. Centrally located, exactly as described. We had a fantastic time, Anna is a marvelous host, a prompt communicator. We hope to return next year!

Step down the path past our architectural/painting studio and house and unplug for a woodland retreat under the starry skies. For Wi-Fi, just step into the studio. Nearest neighbors are family, two sheep and two barncats. Minutes away from Barrett's Cove swimming area on Lake Megunticook, Lincolnville Beach, the Lobster Pound and Camden Hills State Park hiking trails. Center General Store is one mile down the road, with wood-fired brick oven pizza, 7am-7pm.
Spindlewood is a warm and wonder-filled early childhood setting with handmade wooden and woolen toys and outdoor play area. Susan was the Waldorf Kindergarten teacher here for 30 years. Double bed is a futon, and there is a sofa futon as well, unless you need to use it as a second bed. In addition to the child-sizes family dining table, there is an adult-sized bistro table with two chairs. Kitchen is fully equipped for basic cooking. Gas stove, small refrigerator, toaster, coffee maker. Situated in a three generation family farmstead at the end of a country road.
Our neighbors are family and friends, and we enjoy walking down our country road to the cranberry bog at the foot of the hill. The people of Lincolnville have created a community library that hosts regular concerts and talks. And Center General Store, one mile away, is now open 7am-7pm, 7 days/week for wood oven-fired pizza and much more! Lincolnville Beach is 7 miles away, next to the ferry to Islesboro.
  • Beautiful, cozy, clean, and comfortable

  • The cottage sits in the midst of a pretty deciduous forest. It's a simply wondrous place, an ode to nature, that could have been plucked right from a fairy tale. The buildings on the grounds are works of art that are Jack's own architectural designs, and the cottage itself was Susan's Waldorf school and filled with toys, books, and delights in every corner to spark the imagination. We stayed on snowy, cold nights and felt so comfortably cozy. Our children could have stayed and played for days on end. The grounds are enjoyable - even on cold days, it's a nice walk to the barn to say "hello" to Flower, the friendly sheep. The cottage was superbly clean and well-appointed with attention to detail. Jack and Susan are kind and thoughtful hosts; the children loved meeting them and seeing Jack's studio. We are all thankful for this magical time and looking forward to our next visit!

  • Spindlewood is pure magic. This was our second time staying with our family (3 kids) and we simply never want to leave. Staying in the winter lends its own special feeling of coziness. The cabin is warm and glows with the morning sun and at night it feels so safe and secluded nestled into the forest with the stars sparkling through the trees. It is the most perfect escape from modern technology and the busy, fast-paced world. We love seeing our children light up and use their imaginations playing with all of the beautiful Waldorf toys. Susan and Jack are the kindest hosts. We hope to return year after year.

  • Always a home run!

    Robert2020-02-11T00:00:00Z
  • We have been returning to Spindlewood over and over again for three 1/2 years. It is always magic, and Susan and Jack are not only extraordinary hosts, but incredible people. We feel lucky to watch our son grow up here, playing with all the former Waldorf school has to offer both inside and out. We love visiting the special woodland retreat!

  • One of the coziest places we've stayed! The cabin was wonderfully furnished & equipped (from a well stocked kitchen to board games & plenty of blankets), sparkling clean, and cozy warm. There were countless thoughtful touches throughout the cabin and at only ~1:30 drive from Portland, was the perfect weekend away. Our only regret was that we didn't stay for longer.

    Paige2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Such an amazing property and the cabin itself is very new and nicely done. Has everything that you will need as far as kitchen stuff as well.

  • This was a wonderful place for my two daughters and me to enjoy a special weekend together. We left our car in Rockland and upon arrival in Vinalhaven it was a short walk (ten minutes or so) from the ferry terminal. The house is comfy and the view of the harbor so lovely. Perfect for enjoying morning coffee and reading before going out to walk the trails or wander through the village. Vinalhaven is a great place to explore on foot and Anne's place a great home base. We would love to return.

  • Lovely and charming home and location. Bob, hosting. was very personable and very responsive to my questions regarding eateries etc. He recommended an amazing hike very close by on the Preserve. Stunning views! Everyone I met in town was very friendly. Super easy to get around on bike or foot. Not a super touristy experience which I liked. Anne was very attentive to my reservation and details finding the cottage. The apples and chocolate , coffee and creamer in fridge were very nice touches. The fireplace made all things cozy and was a draw to my stay at Harborside. During the beautiful but chilly Autumn season. Thank you both. I would definitely recommend your place!

  • We had a wonderful weekend in Vinalhaven and Anne's place was just right for us. A cozy space with lovely views and a very short walk into town for restaurants and shopping. Anne made sure we had everything we needed. I highly recommend and would happily stay again when we are back on the Island.

    Janice2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • Anne’s place is a gem. She’s provided so many thoughtful touches, and is immensely warm and welcoming. Her place is perfectly located; close to the Main Street but far enough away to be quiet. I loved sitting and looking out those huge windows. Be sure to check the picture of the ladder to the sleeping loft, it required some extra thought in the middle of the night. All in all, one of the coziest spots I’ve stayed with one of the best hosts.

  • Great fun getaway! The studio apartment was very comfortable and cozy. We're looking forward to a return trip. We live in Maine and still found the area fresh and fun. Rockland Has enough to do for a day or more then there's Camden and the islands. Much more to do than a weekend allows. Might want to bring your own fire wood if you want a fire in the evenings. Thank you Paula and Carlo!

  • The Salty Dog was a perfect place for me to base my trip to Coastal Maine. There is a beautiful view and you can watch the sunrise without getting out of bed in the mornings, or you can sit in the swings and enjoy your coffee outdoors. Paula's photography is beautifully displayed throughout the suite. Paula and Karlo were great hosts and I would definitely stay here again on my next visit to Maine.

    Tammi2019-09-07T00:00:00Z
  • This place is great! We loved the location - close enough to pop into town but also far enough to feel like a tiny escape. The yard was perfect for our pup and baby to enjoy some outdoor time and the place is the perfect amount of room to feel comfortable and relaxed. Paula and her husband were so friendly and helpful (and Guiness the dog was so very sweet as well!) Can't wait to go back!

  • This place is beyond spectacular. A hidden gem on the mountain that leaves you breathless upon walking into the back yard. Each morning you watch the sunrise over the valley and water-a spot we enjoyed our morning coffee. It’s a short distance to Rockland and minutes to other small towns. We accessed both Bath, ME and Acadia from here. A great time!

  • our family of three come on myself and my husband and our ten-year-old son had a wonderful 3 night stay Impala and Marcos lovely home. The met us upon arrival and we next saw them during our departure. We were off on adventures everyday and wished we had had more time to just enjoy the space and The View and the amenities. The accommodations are very clean, they have everything you need for a stay, whether it be a few nights or a week or more. The location is outstanding. We mainly were in Rockland Rockport and Camden. All within minutes. We went out to Owls Head Lighthouse, up Mount battie, Hiked Beech Hill preserve, sailed on the owl out of Camden Harbor (which I highly recommend!.) , enjoy the views and Rockport Marine Harbor with Andre the Seal statue. There is so much to do just within a few miles of Paula and Marcos house. We were able to make scrambled eggs and have breakfast in the morning but we were out and about and had our lunches and dinners elsewhere. The queen size bed and the pull-out sofa were perfect for us and very comfortable. The bathroom is spacious as is the tub and shower. All Linens were provided which made it that much easier for me when packing up the car! There are lots of great Maine magazines and books to read .There were also a few fans of which came in handy during the Heatwave. Even with the high temperatures ,just having the windows open and the fans going we were very comfortable. Paula and Marco have created a very idyllic situation for themselves and it is wonderful that they share it with us. We would hope to visit them and enjoy their spot again in the future. We would love to go back!

Fully outfitted, light filled second floor apartment in Rockport with private entrance. Apartment is within walking distance of Rockport restaurants, local coffee shops and Public Landing/beach. Conveniently located a 10 minute drive from Rockland, 5 minutes from Camden.
This is a second and third floor apartment in a duplex located on Route One. The first floor apartment has a year-round tenant. There are separate entrances for each unit. There is an AC unit in the bedroom. There is NO AC in the loft. PLEASE SPECIFY IF YOU PLAN TO USE THE SECOND BED so it can be made up before your arrival.
Located on Route One, there are four coffee shops- Three Dogs Cafe, Market Basket, 47 West and Sea Folk- within a .5mi radius of the apartment. Three restaurants- Flatbread, Nina June and 18 Central- are all within walking distance. The Rockport Public Landing and beach is a 5 minute walk- with food truck parked for lunch most weekdays! There are great running and biking routes from the apartment.
  • Lily thought of everything to make our visit complete. The place was decorated beautifully, spotless and comfortable. It’s conveniently located to all the places we wanted to visit. I definitely recommend her place for your next visit to mid coast Maine!

  • Great place to stay. Super stylish, spacious, clean and great host. Recommend!

  • A nice second floor apartment in Rockport- handy access to everything in the area . Very clean & spacous , recently renovated . It’s right on Rt.1 which is very busy in summer but much quieter in the shoulder season , when we went . A good value .

  • We spent 3 nights here. Enjoyed being able to cook breakfast and even made dinner one night when we were tired from our days’ excursions. The place was spacious for a couple. We did not use the extra bedroom upstairs which would work for an older child. Bed was comfortable. We appreciated the laundry right next to the bedroom and central location. Close to Camden for hiking and boat trips, lighthouses, art museum in Rockland. Beautiful!

  • Lily’s place was beautiful and comfortable! Lily welcomed us to make ourselves at home and we sure felt as if we were at home. We would definitely consider Lily’s space again upon returning to the Rockport/Camden area!

  • Apt was darling!! Very clean but was noisey. But expected that as it was explained beforehand. Lily was very nice and thoughtful.

  • Comfortable and clean inna good location

    Shannon2019-09-27T00:00:00Z
  • Great location. Cozy space. Road noise is definitely an issue, but with the noise maker provided and running the fan it didn’t impede our sleep. Speaking of the fan, it squeaks pretty bad to the point of almost considering not using it. Airflow through the apartment is very minimal as only two small windows in master bedroom and two large windows can be opened. All of this considered I would still recommend this space.

My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers or anyone looking for fun! Outdoor fire-pit.
  • Clean, cozy and perfect for a couple. Great view and close to all the activities and points of interest. Super quiet!!

  • This is a wonderful cottage in a perfect location. Spectacular view from the front window, easy access to all points in the area and a restful location if you just want to kick back and relax. You cant go wrong by staying here. We will definitely be back in the future.

  • This is a fantastic place to stay while in the Camden area. James is a great host and the cabins are very nice. They think of every little thing you need to enjoy your stay.

  • This was an excellent visit. It was by far the most peaceful location we've stayed in through AirBnB. We checked-in late, which was no big deal as they had the keys and a map to our cottage right on the door. We had a perfect view of the coast and we were within walking distance from Mt. Battie and downtown Camden. If you're looking for a quiet getaway, I highly recommend here.

  • Terrific serene, handsome setting. Beautifully designed interior space. Access to adjacent trails a plus. Just beyond the Camden’s retail bustle, and stretch of stately inns, which feels like a plus.

  • James and crew are lovely, the location is great. A true Maine experience!

    Bree2019-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • Really nice find. Excellent hiking in Camden Hills State Park. You can go straight from your room if you want to add 15 minutes to the hike. Also, just a shortish walk to Camden. We drove since we weren’t sure how long we’d stay. Definitely grab a bench in the park and enjoy the view of the boats coming and going. Great place!

  • Nice cozy place, pretty view of the ocean , clean, good to have kitchen area which is small but workable, quiet, comfortable bed. Good location w/proximity to Camden.

This guest cottage is located right on Hobbs Pond within steps of the water. Enjoy kayaks, canoe, swimming, hiking and nature at your front door! Beaver Lodge, a favorite spot for weddings and other family events, is nearby.
The cottage includes a full kitchen/living/dining area, bedroom and a private bathroom with all the essentials! The deck overlooks the water and a grill is available for outdoor cooking.
Mountains, lakes and the rocky coast are all a part of the beautiful Penobscot Bay region of Maine. The quiet town of Hope is nestled in the heart of the area. Blueberry fields and apple orchards add to the landscape. Apple picking begins mid September. Fall foliage is spectacular!
  • We absolutely loved the cabin. The pond was adorable. If you are looking for a nice quiet place to get away from it all, this is the place for you. Every little detail is thought of. Even the 15 minute drive from Camden is a peaceful drive through the Maine countryside.

  • This cabin is the perfect get away from the city. It’s a quick drive to Camden if you want to go into town but the perfect place to settle in for the weekend. Ed and Kathy had local jam for us and prepared a fire in the fire pit by the water. Would definitely recommend!

    Maddie2019-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • Ed and Kathy’s guest house on Hobbs pond was a perfect getaway for our trip to Maine. The cottage was full of thoughtful touches and very clean and comfortable. Since it was chilly out, we didn’t get a chance to take advantage of the kayaks/paddle boat/canoe—but the town of Hope is a quiet retreat within arms reach of many sights and great food. It’s the perfect home base. We will be back!

    Elizabeth2019-10-12T00:00:00Z
  • add Ed and Kathy are what make the state of Maine so wonderful. Salt-of-the-earth, very clean facility, excellent communication, beautifully appointed, super clean lake with all the toys you want. Don't pass this one you won't find a better deal!

    Robb2019-09-26T00:00:00Z
  • This is a quiet retreat with a special Maine feel. The pond is great for kayaking and enjoying nature. It is convenient to Camden and yet secluded enough to feel extremely remote.

    Mike2019-09-20T00:00:00Z
  • Ed and Kathy’s place is the perfect spot for a relaxing getaway. Hobbs Pond (which sure seems like a lake!) is 15 mins to Camden so it’s a great cabin to start and end your day. It was spotless and had everything we needed. Ed even had the canoe and kayaks in the water for us. A great way to get “off the grid!”

    Jennifer2019-09-11T00:00:00Z
  • Ed & Kathy’s place was the perfect spot for a relaxing and quiet vacation! We enjoyed reading by the pond, paddling/kayaking, and our coffee on the deck. Our hosts were very welcoming and the place was well taken care of, for which we were so appreciative!

    Megan2019-09-07T00:00:00Z
  • Stop whatever you're doing and book this place immediately! This is the second time we've come here for a long weekend and we are already planning the net trip! The house has everything you need for a comfortable and cozy stay. The real star of the show however is the porch with lake view and comfy chairs, equipped with a gas bbq. The house has lake access and the hosts provided a plethora of different boats (pedal boat, canoe, kayaks, stand up paddle boards) to explore the lake on. Camden is close by and worth a visit, but staying at the house and enjoying the peace and quiet at the lake is even better. The hosts were fantastic, very thought-full and friendly! Communication prior to arriving was easy and check in was hassle free. 5 stars do not do this place justice!
