Comfy home at the end of cul du sac. One private bedroom with queen bed on main floor. Two other bedrooms are on main floor as well. Bathroom across the hall is shared with my niece (age 22), who lives in the basement. Note: There is a cat in the home. Home is one mile from UW Stout and 1.5 miles to downtown. House is on the south end of town.
Warm welcoming place. Extra bedroom down the hall is usually free as well.
Quiet neighborhood about a mile from UW Stout Campus and 1.5 miles from downtown. Off street parking.
  • Kristin's home is beautiful and she is the perfect host. Engaging if you like, or giving you privacy if you prefer. She gladly shared her living space with us. We had the best sleep of our journey and anything you might need was available The location was perfect and in a safe friendly neighborhood. We look forward to staying with Kristin in the future!

  • Kristin's home was in a great location for an affordable price. She was very thorough in her description and messaging. I would highly recommend Kristin's place to other Aitbnb'ers.

  • Kris was warm and welcoming. She told me what to expect and everything was as she said it would be. I slept like a baby in one of the most comfortable beds ever. Everything was clean, there was water and snacks in the room...it was all wonderful.

  • It is a great place to stay; everything worked out as promised. You must take advantage of this if you are around the region and need the accommodation

    Pekka2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • I really enjoyed staying with Kris! I stayed in her home for 5 weeks and she was always welcoming and pleasant to talk to, and she really made my 5 weeks staying in an unfamiliar place enjoyable. Her cat, Barley, was such a snuggle bug and would take any opportunity for some lap time and belly rubs. Overall I'm super glad I chose to stay with Kris and would do it again in a heartbeat.

Enjoy a very comfortable queen bed with full access to all amenities of our little home, including kitchen use, handmade soap in the bathroom, a fire pit in the backyard, and Netflix and Amazon TV for your enjoyment in the living room. We do have a friendly German Shepherd named Luna, and she'd love to say hi if you wish!
We love our small home and hope you do, too! For this reason, we ask that there will be no more than 2 guests per stay.
Our place is close to downtown, UW-Stout, the post office, Lake Menomin, & Wilson Park. We are also only a few blocks away from a quick dinner at Culver’s!

Our spacious 900 sq. ft. studio/loft was once the art studio used by a local children’s book illustrator. You will notice some of her artwork and photos displayed throughout. The studio was designed with the intention of accommodating 2– 4 people.
Enjoy the views from our secluded, hilltop property as well as from the large treetop windows of our spacious 2nd floor studio apartment. Relax on the deck and enjoy the abundant wildlife; from grazing deer and lively squirrels to a variety of local birds, including bald eagles, hawks and geese. We enjoy feeding the song birds year-round - it is fun to watch them. We hope you will discover Menomonie’s beautiful surroundings, whatever the season.
If you wish to canoe or kayak, bike or hike, we are located 3/4 of a mile from the Red Cedar River and Trail System. A favorite of our guests is to bike or walk/run to Lucette’s Brewery, where you can enjoy woodfire pizza and local brews. •Fishing on the Red Cedar River, Lake Menomin and Tainter Lake is available year-round. A beautiful scene can be viewed with a very short hike to the Devil’s Punch Bowl – a scenic gorge just off of the Rustic Road (turn right after the Bridge on County Road D, just along the river. The historic downtown offers some great shopping and you will want to check out the Town & Country Antique Stores I and II. In addition, the famous Mabel Tainter Theatre offers theatre, concerts and a Winter Craft Festival in December! The Raw Deal has wonderful coffee and healthy foods. The best chocolates in town are located at Marion's Legacy Shop.
  • Cozy, quiet and serene. Loved the big windows and trees. Very clean and modern. Special touches were provided and made us feel very welcomed and special to be their guests. Chris and Theresa were very friendly with emails, greeting us when we arrived and providing a lot of information about things to do in the area. Only a few miles from the city made the location very convenient. Will be staying again since we have a child at UW Stout.

    Jenni & Dave2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • This was our 2nd time staying at Chris & Theresa’s Airbnb. We just love it so much. The space is extremely clean with lots of natural light. Very spacious and beautiful. They left us with plenty of blankets, pillows, towels, extra toiletries and a basket full of treats. Since we stayed for 5 days they made sure to check in on us to make sure we didn’t need anything. It was such a pleasure to stay at this Airbnb again. It has become our home away from home and our two hosts have done such a great job with the space. We will be back!

    Elizabeth2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • A beautiful sunny loft in a beautiful countryside location. Bed was super comfy! Had everything we needed, excellent hosts and lots of treats! Our favorite AirBnB in the area. Highly recommend!

    Brandie2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • The loft is lovely and Chris and Terry make homey with lovely personal touches. My husband and I were visiting for a snowmobile trip and the location was very convenient to the trails that take you all through the beautiful Wisconsin countryside. Would highly recommend and we may even be back!

    Erika2020-02-16T00:00:00Z

    Joan2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • Adorable studio. Very easy to check in. Would definitely stay again without any hesitation.

    Noel2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • We loved staying at the Country Studio. It is a dog friendly place and felt like a home away from home. The large windows created a sense of being connected to nature. Even though the weather was super cold when we were there, we felt warm and cozy at all times. Chris and Terry are outstanding hosts. I highly recommend this unique and comforting studio.

    Krista2020-01-17T00:00:00Z
  • The Country Studio was a perfect, peaceful place for us to get away. It’s in a perfect area that gave us the opportunities to both hike in the woods and enjoy the restaurants and coffee shops of Menomonie!

Gorgeous house with cap cod feel, right on the water. We call this baby "Water's Edge on Tainter Lake". Perfect way to escape the cities, only 50 minutes away. Fish for bass, sunnies and walleye right off the permanent dock on the water. Beautiful views and sunsets on a fun, active recreational lake. Short boat ride to Jake's super club and snowmobile trails just down the block. Ask us about jetski and snowmobile rentals that can be delivered to the home. You will love Water's Edge!
We want you to feel at home and be comfortable at our beautiful little oasis from the cities on the fabulous and fun Tainter Lake.
We are located on Tainter Lake in a cute neighborhood of houses and cabins. There are two restaurants nearby, one of the lake Jakes Supper Club and the Pioneer just across the street. Both have excellent food. There are three public landings on the lake and the snow mobile trail is just down the road. Ask about jetski and snowmobile rentals from Airtec Rentals that can be delivered to the cabin.
  • What a great find! The house has an amazing view right on the water and is very clean. The bed was comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped. I would highly recommend staying here! Jake’s Supper Club is less than a mile away and a great stop for food.

  • This was my second stay at this cabin. I can't recommend it highly enough. Great owners and a wonderful place right on the water. I'll be going back, for sure.

  • Heidi's cozy-yet-spacious riverside house is located in a pleasantly quiet wooded neighborhood. The comfortable bed, the hot tub, the provision of beverages and food flavorings in the kitchen, and many other little details that Heidi provided made our New Year's getaway so much more pleasant. Heidi's friendliness and attention to detail during our first AirB&B experience determined for us that it would not be our last.

  • Quiet spot for a weekend getaway!

    Martin2019-12-22T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay at this cozy cabin! It is a bit small if you have a full 8 guests but clean, comfortable and the lake was beautiful! We also enjoyed the hot tub lots! Heidi was a great host. I would definitely recommend a booking!

    Sena2019-12-15T00:00:00Z
  • This is a great little cabin on the water, and the owners couldn't be more thoughtful and accommodating. Fast, easy communication, and the rental had everything I needed. Wonderful owners, wonderful place. Highly recommended.

  • Great space and beautiful location. The house and property was exactly as described.

    Laurie2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • This place has plenty of room to socialize in the living room and a very large kitchen to hang out too. The place is very neat and clean. It was a bonus to park our vehicle in a heated garage in the middle of winter. The kitchen is very well stocked for a group. The hot tub was also nice and hot and we used it several times throughout the weekend. The view to the snow covered lake was beautiful out the huge windows. We would definitely stay here again.

    Jodi2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • Lots to do! Wonderful Time!

    Dawn2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful views, wonderful layout of the home, fun games for kids, etc. We had a blast in December and it sure looks like a fun place to go in the summer too!

    Brianne2019-12-24T00:00:00Z
  • This is a great house. It was even bigger than expected with lots of bed options and a big open floor plan. The view is gorgeous, we were there during a snowstorm and it was really stunning through the giant living room windows. The hot tub is big enough for a large group and stays hot even on very cold nights. The fireplace, big screen tv and enormous sectional couch made for some cozy movie nights. We enjoyed our stay so much and definitely want to check it out again in the summer.

    Sarah2019-12-10T00:00:00Z
  • Great place! Would definitely stay here again

    Kiersten2019-11-24T00:00:00Z
  • This place is wonderful. The pictures don't do justice to the view you'll get right out the living room, it's just gorgeous. Furnishings are all in good order, the building is clean and in good repair, and amenities were even better than expected.

  • This is quite a unique property, would be great during warm weather to open up the dog run and have part of your living space open to the outdoors and the patio with furniture and grilling area. It is very nice to have such storage space, bedroom and bathroom space as well. It is a great place to stay and we would love to stay again.

    Steven2019-10-12T00:00:00Z

Welcome to our recently remodeled home, built in 1947. Located on a quiet street in an established neighborhood, The Cherry House is 1.5 miles north of downtown Menomonie and 1 mile south of I94. This perfect location makes this home an excellent choice for visitors and travelers.
This well cared for home has ample living, dining, and cooking space. The kitchen is fully equipped for your culinary needs. If you find something lacking then please let me know, I will want to add it. Feel free to use what staples you find here, i.e. salt, pepper, butter, tea etc. The living room has one full size couch, a recliner, and an easy chair. There is also plenty of floor space to stretch out if you choose. The dining room can fit up to six easily. The bathroom has a walk-in shower but does not have a bathtub.
This north Menomonie neighborhood is quiet, walkable, and very close to the Junction Trail. The Junction Hike/Bike Trail goes south to the public library. From the public library you can cross the bridge to walk into downtown Menomonie and the UW-Stout campus. In downtown Menomonie you can find many local eating establishments, coffee shops, brew pubs, and the Mabel Tainter Center for the Arts. If you want a recommendation just ask me, I'm glad to point out the excellent places.

  • Charming, cute, quaint, and quiet. This is out 3rd stay at an Airbnb in Menomonie and this is the best by far. We loved that we can relax while visiting our daughter who is attending UW-Stout. She loved the fast internet and no TV and a chance to get away from roommates and the dorm!! The kitchen is well equipped. Everything is clean. Much nicer than any hotel. The area had the first snow fall of the season during our stay but the house was warm and comfortable. This is a great place.

Country location, peaceful and quiet. Apartment above detached garage, full kitchen, small deck and private stairway with beautiful view of the surrounding trees. Easily accessible, 3 miles from I-94 and St. Hwy. 29, 1/2 way between the university cities of Eau Claire and Menomonie, 1 1/4 hours from St. Paul/Minneapolis. There is a growing art and music scene, with multiple music festivals, etc. The area also has fine restaurants, theaters, parks, and historical sites. Come to be restored.
Large yard with many mature deciduous trees, lots of green space, a park-like setting. Autumn color is particularly spectacular because of the variety of trees. Even in winter, the frost and the snow in the trees is beautiful.
The property has beautiful views of the rolling hills of western Wisconsin's farmland.
  • This was our second time staying here! The hosts are super sweet and accommodating. We told them we were vegan and Carolyn made us amazing vegan, jelly-filled muffins - complete with an ingredients list! (For more info on why were vegan, check out Earthlings on YouTube).💚 Thank you so much again, and we will be sure to book your place, the next time we’re up there!

  • This is a great place for a family! There is no need to bring anything. The kitchen is well stocked, plenty of blankets, pillow, towels, etc. so many thing to explore in the area!

    Peggy2019-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • Carolyn was an excellent host. She responded quickly to any question I had and made sure we had everything we needed. Her place was sparkly clean and cozy. All of the amenities were exactly as described. Check-in was easy and comfortable. I stayed with my four children and they settled right in without any trouble. They loved that there were puzzles available to do! Everyone in my family loved the stay. Carolyn made a lovely breakfast to enjoy before heading out in the morning. We would love to stay here again!

    Melissa2019-11-28T00:00:00Z
  • This is our second stay. It is an awesome place for a 'get away', for a peaceful rest just off the Interstate, for a great family adventure, for a 'honeymoon', for any reason. We will be back. We stay in BnB's all over the Midwest. This is by far the best!

    Kathie2019-11-25T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed our stay at Carolyn’s place! Relaxing place to stay! Peaceful location.

    Julie2019-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful area, clean, comfortable beds, must be able to climb stairs, yummy breakfast, good deal, and they even let us check in earlier! We were very happy with our stay!

Escape to our perfect cabin on Lk Tainter for fun, relaxation, family, business and activities for all. The three bedroom cabin hosts groups up to ten with tons of room to boot. There's nearby restaurants that are accessible by water or land. The views are amazing and the area is great, with something for everyone. The lake is great for fishing, water sports, kayaking, and soaking up the sun. Right on the snowmobile trail or easy access to the lake in winter. Come enjoy when we can't!
We completely remodeled an existing gem and just can't always get to enjoy the pine carsiding, durable laminate floors, granite countertopsgas fireplace and custom stained glass that makes this so cozy!
We're on a cul de sac just off a local county highway with a small handful of the greatest neighbors. It's considered a lot and a half with 185 feet of water frontage on a steep bank.
  • The cabin was beautiful. It has everything that you would need. We ice fished and caught a good sized northern. I would recommend this place for a family getaway.

    Beth2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • My family and I stayed at Greg's place. Our intentions were to ice fish for a few days while enjoying each others company. This place has the best of many worlds. The proximity to the lake allows for kids and others to easily escape off the ice, leaving others to continue to fish. The place had many amenities, a beautiful bar, deck, cable and so much more. There were many beds, allowing for any combination of sleeping arrangements. His place is only 15 min or less to Menominee and very close to the local bar. I would absolutely recommend his place to stay!

    Christina2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Even in the winter, a beautiful place to be. Lovely decorated cabin with everything you could ask for!

    Jackson2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • On top of a small hill overlooking frozen lake ( you can ice fish if you’d like ) or just drive on the frozen lake if you haven’t tried it as we did it :) Clean spacious house with everything you need to feel comfortable and relaxed. Some nice board games too ( we brought our own but some of Greg’s were new to us ) Overall highly recommending this place.

  • Barb and Don are fantastic hosts! We really appreciated how above and beyond they went with everything. If there was a problem, they brought it up to us in a way to address the situation, but without being confrontational. The breakfast was amazing, the hospitality phenomenal. 10/10 will come again!

    Kaitlyn2019-12-22T00:00:00Z
  • This was our second stay and we can't say enough good things -- from the cleanliness, to the hospitality and kindness, Barb and Don go above and beyond to make you feel at home. Their coffee cake and coffee are a wonderful way to start the day!

  • It was a pleasure to stay at Barb and Don’s! We were only there for a night but we felt so welcome. The space is beautiful and we very much enjoyed sitting outside to enjoy the evening. Barb’s coffee cake is not to be missed!

    Jessica2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • This was a very cool space, and the hosts went out of their way to help us have a great stay. We were only passing through, but would have loved to stay a bit longer!

    Joseph2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • It was truly a pleasure to stay at Barb's home and meet her, as well as her husband. Truly wonderful and friendly people, that create a comfortable, safe, and pleasant place for a traveler to stay in. There home was cozy, comfortable, clean, and truly lovely to stay in. Barb and her husband's warmth of spirit was a joy to connect with. Plus, they gave great recommendations on local places I could go for a walk/hike in nature, which I was really interested in. The bed was very comfortable with just the right softness, for me to sleep peacefully and soundly. This is a lovely home, for a traveler needing an economical and nice place to rest in with truly good people to host them.

    Jennifer2019-09-15T00:00:00Z

  • Tom and Heidi's place is exactly what AirBnb strives to be. I wish I could give it a bad review, so no one else would go there and it could be a best-kept secret, but not the case. The house and property are in wonderful shape and placed in a serene setting. Amenities and space has everything covered, and is super comfortable. Heidi was a thoughtful host and great communicator. Absolutely wonderful stay, highly recommend. We stayed in winter, and I'm sure this will be a very enviable stay in the summer months in Wisconsin. I do business close to here and can't wait to return. Thanks.

    Nick2020-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • Very nice place to stay! It’s secluded and tucked back in the woods, but still super close to town. Heidi and Tom were really good with communication and wanted to make sure our stay was going to be good for us. The space was clean and updated which is nice. And the heated floors were a bonus especially here in February! Overall a great experience and we would come back.

    Bre2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Wow! What a view! Really peaceful setting Private, home-away-from-home. Thoughtful little touches like the full spice rack for my morning breakfast to the dry kindling for the evening fire. I especially enjoyed the warm floors on my bare feet while making my first cup of coffee! I'll be back with my boys for spring fishing on the Red Cedar! Ps Nice location just 5 minutes off the highway.

  • Julie’s place was decorated nicely, had very comfortable beds, and had a really well-equipped kitchen if you are inclined to cook. It has very easy access to the internet. She was easy to communicate with and answered any questions promptly. Nice to have the option of two different coffee dispensing tools.

  • This is a nice house. Short drive to Menomonie or Tainter Lake. The bedrooms are nice sized with nice closets. The living room is also a nice size. Julie responded promptly to our requests. The only downside is only one bathroom. The good points to the house outweigh that though. We would stay here again. Thanks Julie!

  • Great location! We really enjoyed Brett's place. He put the boats in the water for us so we could paddle around the lake. His place is well stocked with towels, toiletries, some basic food items, and games and random sporting equipment to keep everyone busy! We had a great time!

  • Brett's place is awesome and he is an excellent host.

  • Our stay at Brett’s was great. The view of the lake is awesome! The house has everything you need and there’re various ways to explore the lake, including a canoe, paddle boat and Brett can also give you a pontoon boat ride. We highly recommend this beautiful location for a quiet couple getaway or lots of fun with the whole family. Thank you Brett, for sharing your beautiful place!

  • We had an amazing time here for a long weekend in February. The house is well equipped with everything that you could need. It's located in a peaceful area with plenty of space to walk and enjoy nature. I would definitely stay here again!

  • I highly recommend this location! This place is absolutely charming.

    Connie2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • This home is a jewel, in both its comfortable, modern accommodations and incredible setting. The profile and images are spot on -- incredibly accurate. The ample bedrooms, modern bathrooms, convenient kitchen, cozy living room and porch and wonderful outdoor features (from its location to its perfect fire ring). It's hard to imagine how so many lovely rooms can be appointed in what appears to be such a small farmhouse. But the owners have creatively and lovingly found ways to tuck three full bathrooms, a half-bath and spacious, restful bedrooms into the house without it feeling carved up or crammed. It's a delight! One of a kind, truly.

    Alex2019-12-26T00:00:00Z
  • This place was amazing and perfect set up for what I needed. They made me and my dog feel very welcome and the location was incredible. If I ever have a need in this area again this would definitely be my first choice.

  • Wow! We had an wonderful weekend, the weather could have been better but the home was amazing! Thank you so much for all the thoughtful details. We loved the location, home and surroundings. We not a few mikes south of Menomonie. Trails to the Red Cedar River were easy to hike and not far. Fully stocked kitchen, cozy, clean and really done well. Super comfy beds and hot showers were most appreciated too. It was a perfect way to celebrate our 30th reunion from UW-Stout. We will be back♥️. Thank you so much for having the cozy farmhouse for us to enjoy. Lynne

  • We have stayed at many homes in the past 10 years and this home by far was the nicest! When we arrived there were fresh flowers and honey crisp apples to greet us. The home was very clean and beautifully decorated and stocked with so many special touches! We chose the home because it was located near the Red River bicycle trail. The front porch was wonderful to enjoy the late afternoon sun and just relax. Then the screened in porch was such a treat, each evening we had a fire in the fireplace and just soaked in the calm and quiet of the farm. We have already decided we will be back next September to enjoy more bicycling and enjoy this beautiful property.

    Sandy2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed at Jean's home for a girls weekend, and the space was perfect for 8 of us. Her house is beautiful, and we appreciated the extra touches (fresh flowers, wood ready to go in the fire pit and fire place). My friends and I enjoyed coffee on the front porch, the walking trails, the fire pit, and the short drive to a local farmers market and several breweries. Highly recommend!

    Caitlin2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • Every single aspect of this home is designed to welcome guests and to make them feel comfortable. Email responses are immediate and cleanliness is immaculate. The outdoor spaces, such as the firepit, the screened porch, and the front porch, are perfect for hanging with friends and family, and the indoor spaces, including bedrooms/baths and the kitchen, dining, and living areas also are well-designed for groups. We could not have enjoyed our stay more and we appreciated the attention and care that was evident in every detail of the home. Truly a top-of-the-line property.

This room is one of 4 bedrooms on the second floor. The 4 rooms share 2 new bathrooms. This 100 year old farm house has many of the original features, a 1950's kitchen, an L-shaped porch. Furnishings include treasures collected over the years from family, France and Africa. The beautiful Hay River runs through our adjacent property.
Open since August 2014! The improvements continue so you just might catch us with a tool or a paint brush in our hands! Our latest venture is two baby goats in the back yard! Sooo cute!
The Grain Bin Market and Bakery is across the road. Snacks, fabric and the best cinnamon rolls ever! The Hay River is 1/4 mile across the road from the house, on land that was part of the original farmstead. It's a beautiful area to just take off down the road for a walk or a bike ride (bring your own).
  • Beautiful place with amazing hosts. We really enjoyed starting and ending our day at this B&B. Rooms were comfortable and quaint. Loved the goats! I would highly recommend staying there and having the experience of being in such a wonderful place.

  • This is an outstanding bed and breakfast experience. Audrey and Ken helped us feel very welcome in their charming country home. And, they served a delicious, homemade breakfast and took extra care in asking about any dietary preferences. Super hospitality, we have no reservations in making this recommendation.

  • Sweet, comfortable, clean and bright. Delicious breakfast. Audrey and Ken are great folks. Be sure to say hi to the kids (goats)!

    Sarah2018-07-09T00:00:00Z
  • Wow ! So much more than we expected. Our hosts, Audrey & Ken, were amazing and we felt like family from the moment we arrived. Take the time to walk down to the river and sit in the "Life Guard" chairs and take in the view. The wrap around porch beckons you to sit and chat, and did we ever. The house is well appointed with everything you could need or want for a relaxing stay while maintaining it's period decor. Oh, and do not leave without having some of Audrey's baked good, especially the scones !

  • This was a great bed and breakfast experience. I would definitely stay here again if I was going to be in the area.

  • We had a wonderful stay at the Hay River House. Audrey and Ken were delightful to talk to and spend time with. Audrey's cooking was amazing and she was very respectful of providing vegetarian options. The Sunburst Room was very comfortable. We especially loved walking by the river with the cute goats! I would highly suggest this "AgriTourism" spot. They also have a huge barn next door for weddings & events! Can't wait to go back & visit!

    Nicole2016-08-08T00:00:00Z
  • We had a fantastic time at the Hay River House B&B. Audrey was incredibly helpful leading up to our trip with great recommendations of things to do in the area. Breakfast was amazing as well and we felt specifically catered to the whole time. Highly recommended! Great little places to visit around the area as well.

  • Audrey and Ken have a fabulous place out in the country. The rooms were beautiful, and though the floors were squeaky in this beautiful old home, that was part of the charming experience. Keep in mind there is one steep set of stairs to the second floor where the bedrooms are located. It wasn’t a problem for us, but just be mindful if stairs are an issue. The bed was very comfortable, the rooms were very clean, and Audrey made us a fabulous breakfast the next morning, as well as having fresh baked cookies waiting for us upon our arrival. We also enjoyed walking their beautiful grounds the next morning. And their home was only 22 minutes from our destination that evening, the Enchanted Barn. I highly recommend this home if you find yourself passing through this part of Wisconsin... a wonderful experience overall!

  • Audrey and her husband were amazing hosts. We were comfortable and cozy the whole weekend. They had wonderful suggestions for local things to do and Audrey makes the best scones I’ve ever eaten. We loved our stay and will be back! Definitely highly recommend!

  • Audrey and Ken made me feel so welcome and at home. Their Inn is a beautiful farmhouse that they have lovingly restored. The Ivory Coast Room was cozy and attractively decorated with art pieces from there; the bed was very comfortable with fresh, billowy linens. Breakfast was a healthy feast of choices including fresh fruit, steel cut oats, omelette and ham. I enjoyed a leisurely conversation with Audrey about the history of the house and more. I hope to stay there again when I’m in the area!

  • Our stay at the Hay River House surpassed expectations. Audrey and Ken are kind and welcoming, and prepare an amazing breakfast and other treats! The house and property are beautiful and very clean. Definitely take some time to sit down by the river with some coffee or wine and relax in peaceful, private nature! Wish we would have stayed longer!

    Niki2017-07-22T00:00:00Z
  • Audrey and Ken's home was fabulous. Their place was just as described, clean, easy to get to (helpful as there isn't a lot of cellular service in the area!) comfortable, and the breakfast served was very delicious. Audrey was very accommodating of our schedule, and was excellent at communicating with me. We will happily stay again next time we're in the area!

  • This is a great location to get away and enjoy nature! There is a ton of space to explore and the fire on the patio is a beautiful area to sit and enjoy the stars. It is a little bit off the path but that was expected, just make sure you read the written directions to get to the cabin. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay.

  • The place is perfectly furnished and was spotless! Chad was very easy to communicate with. The land is full of wildlife and the views are amazing!

  • Couldn't ask for a more relaxing and nature loving spot than Chad's cabin. The land is spectacular with all the wildlife, and the star gazing at night is superb. Definitely would bring my telescope next time. Chad's communication was superb, and it was nice to talk with him while he was out working around the property. Nice quiet and clean cabin that had all the amenities that we could need. Thanks again Chad, and we will definitely stay there again when we are back in the area.

    Jason2019-07-21T00:00:00Z
  • Awesome place on a neat plot of land. Plenty of deer and other wildlife. Outstanding fire pit location overlooking much of the land. We enjoyed sitting on the swinging chair near the bird feeders and watching the hummingbirds come and go. Chad was very helpful and accommodating and gave us a tour of the property. It’s likely that he will be around to greet you and answer questions during your stay

  • This was a perfect place for our family Christmas weekend in January. We were so happy to find the place decorated for Christmas and a beautiful tree still up. With 7 adults and 8 kids, there was plenty of room and activities for everyone. We even had success with some ice fishing. Jessica is a very accommodating host and so easy to work with. We'll be back next year!

    Andrea2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • We had a large group of family and friends staying together for a reunion. Everyone enjoyed their stay. The house is spread out so we could have children sleeping quietly in one area, while others were able to enjoy laughter and conversation without having to worry about noise. We had comfortable rooms with good spaces to spread out. The kitchen was well designed for serving our larger group. Beautiful views. Comfortable spaces. We loved our stay! Thankful for such a great host who was easy to contact, and so helpful to making our weekend special.

    Amy2020-01-13T00:00:00Z
  • The house is well equipped and absolutely wonderful for our large family. Each bedroom is large and has its own bathroom, fireplace, and deck. The common areas are large and comfortable for adults and children alike. The stunning views of the lake can be enjoyed from every area of the house.

  • Jessica's home was truly wonderful. There was no reason for us to leave during this snowy stay and we could enjoy our time with family so much more. It was like staying in a hotel within a comfy home. We had everything we needed in the kitchen to make our special holiday meals and plenty of room to enjoy them. The game room was filled with many things to do for everyone. Bring your sweaters in the winter, it's a big place! It is a memory we'll have for the rest of our lives.

This is a privately owned residential home, so we ask that the home is treated with love and respect.
The neighborhood is a small gathering of homes in the Western Wisconsin countryside. Baldwin is about 20 miles from Hudson and Stillwater and 40-50 from the Twin Cities. It is a beautiful and quiet area with lots of trees and beautiful views. The town of Baldwin itself hosts few restaurants, liquor stores, grocery store and sweet downtown. Also, the next town over, Hammond, also has a few good restaurants as well. This is a great area for doing anything outdoors and we are definitely open for recommendations!
  • Stunning home - an architects dream with contemporary lines & materials. Located on a quiet lake - no jetskis, couldn't hear or see neighboring lake places with an abundance of birch and mature oak trees - a gem of a local. 6 women on retreat - plenty of places to sit & chat, including a deck with gas fire pit, a rooftop escape for sunning.

  • The space was fantastic: exactly as described, exceptionally clean, and perfect for a large group. Would recommend!

  • This place is amazing!!! All of the guests enjoyed the home and amenities, ranging from food to movies to various toys for the kids. we were looking for a large enough space with enough beds to host our bridal party at, as we both wanted us all to be together. we also gathered for a very informal rehearsal dinner after we were done doing the rehearsal over in Baldwin. the stars here are amazing and the house looks fantastic when coming from below at night. the adults enjoyed the house, enough space for us all and the kids had a blast in the various play rooms or watching a movie with the projector. lovely lovely time and I can't wait to find another excuse to stay again!!

  • We held our annual family reunion at Shane’s place for the third consecutive year. The space is perfect for a large family gathering. Everything is sparkling clean, instructions are clear and host communication is top notch. We’ll be back!!

  • We rented Shane's home for our very first family reunion over the weekend and it was BEAUTIFUL and sparkling CLEAN! Shane was an awesome host and very quick to respond to questions. We had 24 people in our group and the house accommodated us perfectly. We were welcomed with some chocolates and wine. Our group had a lot of fun playing with games/activities that were provided. The house manual has everything that you need and is very clear. There were plenty of space for the kiddos to run around and awesome backyard for the adults to gather around the wood fireplace. The gas grill is connected straight to the house propane system so we didn't have to worry about refilling or bringing extra. There were enough towels. linens and toilet paper for our entire stay. Our group enjoyed our stay, especially the little ones! They didn't want to leave! We will definitely consider booking again in the future!

  • This home was as awesome as the pictures and descriptions!!! The house was spacious, plenty of beds and gorgeous views. They had everything we needed including multiple phone chargers in the bedrooms, ‘emergency’ guest food in the freezer and a detailed home manual explaining where things were in the house, local restaurants, grocery stores, etc. and what needed to be done upon departure. If we need a place to stay in the area again, we’d definitely look to stay here again. Thanks, Shane.

  • Great place for large groups! The kitchen amenities (and fridge!!) made mealtime easy. We loved the openness of the kitchen/dining area, the variety of bedrooms/bathrooms, and the beautiful landscaping. Shane was easy to reach and the house manual provided everything we needed to know. We hope to return for another weekend getaway!

The space: Open since August 2014!
  • Great experience with great stories from the gracious Audrey and Ken.

  • Just a short distance from the twin cities we discovered Hay River House Bed and Breakfast which was a perfect pick for a fall get away; We were out to experience the fall colors and the experiences you can find in Wisconsin such as a pumpkin orchard within a close driving distance and a good walking path to see the bright yellow, red and purple hues in the leaves. When we arrived at Hay River we were greeted by Audrey with some fresh baked cookies and relaxed on the couch for the evening chatting about our day and watching a movie. Each room is individually temperature controlled which is very handy to ensure my sweetie stays warm, and with plenty of bedding we slept well. Morning breakfast starts out with excellent coffee (and we love our coffee!) and fresh baked pastries. Very tasty breakfast tacos came out warm and to perfection with a variety of delicious options. My wife and I love exploring These United States and would recommend a stay here for the food, the friendliness, and the atmosphere both at this B&B and around the area. Day time, drive-proximity activities make this area perfect to explore based on what you enjoy during any season. We have come back home very relaxed from this enjoyable weekend trip, and will make plans to return again.

  • What a great place in the quiet western Wisconsin country. Audrey and Ken were very friendly and full of local information. Great people!

  • Very nice place and very pleasant people.

  • Hay River House is all that is described and more. Audrey was very conscientious about our comfort. She also serves a wonderful breakfast. There is also a refrigerator for your use which is super nice! We would definitely like to return.

  • Audrey was very accommodating, we arrived late but this was no problem. The breakfast was really lovely, lots of homemade (muffin and pancakes) and taking into account needs and allergies. Audrey had lots of great tips on area activities.

  • We had a nice stay at the house. We loved the small kennel area attached to the house - very convenient for dog owners. We would stay again.

    Karen2019-06-17T00:00:00Z
  • This cabin is cute and personalized to the host! We enjoyed the lakeshore-feel to the decor and the abundance of sleeping arrangements to fit our whole (large) family into a modestly sized cabin. Cozy and pleasant!

  • Home away from home. Don't lug anything with you except clothes. Seriously, this place has everything you could possibly need. Wonderful views of a HUGE lake and nature life will make you not want to leave.

  • We had a great time at Jenga Haus during fall break! The cabin is so relaxing, comfortable and peaceful. It was extremely well stocked with almost anything we could have wanted or needed. Deanna was very easy to communicate with and responsive. Check-in and check-out were a breeze. She was a great hostess and we would highly recommend Deanna and Jenga Haus. We would definitely love to come back again!

  • Cute cabin on the lake! Very cozy, clean, and comfortable!

    Emily2018-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • Deanna’s cabin is so cute and has beautiful views of the lake. I would absolutely stay here again next time I’m in the area

    Emily2018-09-16T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed the cottage it has lots of charm. It was well equipped with the amenities we needed during our stay. It was very convenient for our friends and family to stop by for a visit. If I had any recommendation it would be to suggest handrails around the top of the boat house. It a great place to sit and view the lake but for safety a railing would be a good investment. The only other item would be to update the BB grill to something a little newer and larger, although this one did what for what we needed. Just a suggestion.
