  • Great location!! Absolutely picturesque with lovely hosts who made the stay extra comfortable. Check in was very convenient, plus we had tips on places to visit close by etc. Excellent value !

  • Great place to stay the living / diner / kitchen was a fantastic room with ace views. The open fire was fab and the apartment very well equipped. Very good value and would not hesitate to recommend.

  • Brenda's neighbour Jill was more than accommodating regarding arrival/departure times and kindly helped us start up a fire as soon as we arrived. The breakfast bits provided and advice on where to go/what to do were also much appreciated. We had everything you could possibly need for a super chilled and cosy stay, including films on the smart TV and a not-too-taxing walk in the surrounding area with beautiful views that even I (who avoids physical exertion at all costs) thoroughly enjoyed. One thing we were really glad of were the transport links, especially the buses. Although we would advise getting to the bus stop at least 5 - 10 minutes before the bus is due to arrive as they seem to run early! We only wish we could have stayed longer.

    Ella2016-01-07T00:00:00Z
  • Not just as a costumer, but my experience with the host was one of the kindest and best experiences. I booked the apartment for a wrong date by mistake and showed up the day after and the neighbours told me that it was the wrong date but the hosts still let us in and welcomed us, and everything was amazing: the apartment was lovely and so was the area and the overall experience. There was no way you end your day there without a smile on your face! :)

    Sumayah2016-11-12T00:00:00Z
  • Such a great place to stay! The flat is full of character and has a beautiful view over the loch. We were spoilt because the weather was perfect and so we also had the pleasure of meeting all of the neighbours in the garden for drinks of an evening! We arrived with minimal petrol and were instantly helped out by the neighbours (as Brenda was away). Brenda was a great host - leaving us leaflets and explaining a good walk for us to do via email. GREAT GREAT GREAT!

  • Well appointed and spacious

  • Lovely home with tons of space. Steven was a very kind and responsive host. My family and I visited over the Christmas holiday and he put a tree in the living area, along with other decorations throughout. Wonderful! The home is a quick walk down to a few grocery stores, and we made a number of meals at the house. I highly recommend this house, wonderful location, and excellent host!

    Jennifer2017-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • A stunning, well kept house with beautiful views from the bedroom window and easy access to local shops. Would thoroughly recommend to anyone! The host was extremely friendly and responsive which was an added bonus.

    Matthew2016-08-01T00:00:00Z
  • Steven was a extremely attentive host, communication was efficient before and during our stay. The accomodation had everything our family needed, it was very comfortable and quiet. I would absolutely recommend staying here for anybody visiting Dunoon and the surrounding areas. Our family would look to stay here again on our next visit! Thanks again Steven.

    Azhar2017-09-04T00:00:00Z
  • A great place to stay whether for a weekend or longer. We had a very comfortable stay and found everything we needed to sleep and cook for a group of 8. The area felt safe and was very close by to the town centre and a CoOp shop. Steven was very helpful when booking and ensured everything was in place for our arrival. It was also nice to have plenty of towels to use for our stay. Would definitely recommend!

    Martin2016-09-12T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent. Recommended

    Alex2017-05-12T00:00:00Z
  • Steven is a very nice and flexible host. He adapted to our need and made our weekend very good. The house is lovely and you can find everything you need. The area is gorgeous, we went for very nice walks and it was breathtaking. I more than recommend!

    Kev2017-06-12T00:00:00Z
  • We felt as though the host Steven was looking after our every need. We felt as though we could contact him if we needed anything or had a query without feeling uncomfortable. We did not stop at the villa long because we were out doing activities. But the short time at the villa we found it to be comfortable and didn't lack anything.

  • Spent 3 nights at Mary's flat as a couple & cannot recommend it enough. What a beautiful, spacious & bright flat. In sunny weather, the living room & bedroom fill up with sunshine & it is a great feeling. Picture perfect sweeping views of the bay with ships crossing constantly. A very well equipped kitchen in which we cooked a couple of meals. Great location as its a 5 min taxi ride from the ferry terminal & a bus stop next door that took us to the local attractions of Puck's Glen & Benmore Gardens within 20 minutes. We had a fantastic long weekend in Mary's flat & hope to be back in the future.

    Anirudh2016-08-01T00:00:00Z
  • Mary's place was perfect, the town is impossibly quaint (at least, to my American sensibilities), and the area is unlike anything I've ever seen. Special thanks to Mary's friend who picked me up after I missed my bus stop. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

    Tom2017-05-06T00:00:00Z
  • This is a lovely place, very tastefully decorated (in the Scottish style) and a joy to come home to. The kitchen is fully equipped for those wishing to cook and, most important, the bed is very comfortable. Downtown is "walkable" along a shoreline walking path in about 20 minutes - otherwise cabs are five pounds. I can't imagine anyone wouldn't be comfortable here, and Mary is a pleasure to deal with.

  • Mary's place is a beautifully located apartment. We get a lovely view of the Firth of Clyde form the living room and the bedroom which is very charming. The area is very scenic with beautiful flowers and water front walkways and drive. The apartment is tastefully furnished and very clean. It is the ideal place for a wonderful vacation. Gordon and Mary are genuinely kind and nice hosts. the best kind of people that one can hope for.

  • Douglas's place is perfect for a getaway in a quiet town as Kirn has breath taking views but not a lot of night life. The apartment is very quaint with everything you need for your holiday. Douglas even greeted us with a pot of tea and shortbread on arrival, very special indeed. Really recommend his place, great value for money.

  • Great location! We stayed here for a long weekend during which we ran the Dunoon Half Marathon and 10k. Dunoon was lovely and would really recommend the run to everyone! This property was ideally located - we didn't take our car but it was no problem - the flat is 10 minutes walk from the passenger ferry terminal and five minute walk from the main high street with shops, bars and restaurants. Also literally a few minutes stroll to the beautiful beach! We enjoyed fish and chips taking in the idyllic views on our first night! There was a comprehensive information manual which we found very useful and the property was clean, modern and very well kept. We will definitely be back!

  • Lovely flat in great location

  • Dunoon is an absolute gem of a place to visit and this house is the perfect place to enjoy it. Close to everything and fabulous facilities. We will be back. Jodie the host couldn't have been any nicer. Kept in touch and was accommodating to us on the run in to our trip. 11 out of 10.

    Keith 2017-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely house and location, would definitely recommend. Only problem we had was less knives and forks than we needed.

    Helena2017-08-21T00:00:00Z
  • Great, friendly, proactive and organised communication from host Jodie before during and after our visit. As a result, we arrived (and left) feeling very reassured and fully informed about all aspects, including: directions to the property and how/where to park, and how to get into the property etc (Jodie wasn't there - we never met her) A top touch was the extremely lovely welcome basket, along a comprehensive but easy to read information manual - which we all found very useful. The property was clean, modern and well kept. All in all - a lovely ground floor apartment with a great host, and one which I would not hesitate to recommend. Thank you Jodie ... if we perform in Dunoon again we will happily be back! Darren x (URL HIDDEN)

    Darren2017-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • Spacious accommodation reasonably well kept and great for Dunoon centre for all pubs and resturants and shops etc. Although unable to park at property this is not an issue as plenty of on street parking. First time I have used air b and b and overall a good experience. Although maybe a couple of minor niggles (ie toilet door jamming) I fancy most people would enjoy the premises and location and value for money.

    David2017-07-29T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed our stay in Judy's house. Even if we haven't see her, we had a very nice welcome by Judy. We travel in family (parents and 2 children) and this sweet house was perfect for us. Judy's book with information for entry, departure, visits and leisure is well done and useful. We visited a lot of beautiful sites all around Dunoon. Don't hesitate to stay in Judy's house !

    Virginie2017-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • Jodie's place was a great spot to stay in Dunoon. Everything was with in walking distance and the place was clean and cozy. Look forward to going back some day!

  • After our original airbnb host cancelled on us, we made a booking with Colin last minute. We used instant book and it was accepted immediately so we called and Colin was more than happy to meet us at the very late arrival time of near 1am. We were greeted by his wife and daughter who were really friendly and gave us info about the town - there were also maps and more info in the apartment. After the long drive we were also happy to find a bottle of wine waiting for us! The flat was immaculate and beds were comfy. The seafront was just a 5 minute walk away and there's a chippy, plus bars and restaurants, just over the road. They kept in touch over the weekend and answered all our questions - a big thank you!

  • The house was lovely, very homely and cosy. It was also very well equipped and we could use the kitchen to make our own meal rather than going out to eat. It was a very comfortable stay. Maureen could not show us in but went over and above in making sure that we were comfortable and that we had everything we needed. She is lovely host.

    Paul2016-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • Host: 5 out of 5 Maureen was wonderful. Our travel didn't go according to plan when we ran into gridlock on the motorway, but she kept in touch and adjusted to the unexpected with ease. She was right next door if we needed anything, and was very thoughtful to start the heat and leave flowers, and incredibly kind to even leave some cake for us since I'd mentioned it was my birthday weekend. She was truly ace. Cottage: 3 out of 5 The cottage itself is an end-terrace, 2-up, 2-down. It's easy to find with the directions Maureen'll give you. The location is completely as advertised: between the front windows of the house and the loch are simply the front garden and the quiet road. I was disappointed that the view from the ground floor is half-obscured by a pine tree in the front garden. There is al fresco dining out front and out back, plus a bench out back with a view of the loch, so it'd be great in the summer. Overall, it was just average. It was clean; everything we needed was there, plus extra towels and other thoughtful touches; the shower stall was roomy enough (there is only a shower stall, no bath tub), and the hot water in it was most excellent; the cooker worked; etc. There were some issues, however: the beds were very hard; many of the lights didn't work or have bulbs; only one external door unlocked; there didn't seem to be any insulation to keep the heat in; the dishes weren't clean; there's a leak from the sink onto the pans stored underneath. Mostly, it was a bit rough around the edges, just needing a bit of TLC. As it is, it would be a 2 out of 5 property, but the location brings it up. We did really enjoy watching the moody weather over the loch each day. It's also near some fab attractions - we got to Quadmania and the Benmore Botanical Garden while we were there. We mentioned the lights and lock to Maureen when we left; undoubtedly they're fixed now. This has the potential to be a great property, especially with its location. Hopefully it'll be given some TLC soon.

    Sara2015-04-06T00:00:00Z
  • - Good location for exploring Cowal peninsula, just five minutes’ drive from Benmore Botanic Garden and Puck’s Glen, both places not to be missed. - House is unusual in that it is very narrow, but makes most of the limited space. - Maureen is lovely, really keen to ensure her guests are happy.

    Roger2015-10-19T00:00:00Z
  • We arrived after a long trip and were slightly frustrated to have to go next door to retrieve a password for the Wifi, which ended up having bad signal from the house that we were staying in. The house was nice, although a little cold due to lack of heaters. We had a beautiful view of the loch in the front of the house.

    Eve2015-04-11T00:00:00Z
  • Nice people nice place. Lovely house

My place is close to great views, the beach, restaurants and dining, family-friendly activities. You’ll love my place because of the views, the location, and the cosines. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travellers, families (with kids), and big groups. Sights are amazing, mind blowing from morning to night. Escape every trouble to a piece of paradise, they say you cant find heaven on earth, but this is pretty close.
Beautiful, outdoors and indoors. Perfect stay for anyone that wants a relaxing break. Peaceful and quite, with just the right touch of fun. Lay about in the sun, or stare up at the stars. Watch the submarines and boats cruise by, or head into town. The options are endless.
Situated on the River Clyde, hidden behind the Gourock Lighthouse. Nestled into the mature woodlands is Cloch Caravan site. A chance to escape to a world of pure indulgent tranquility. Kick back in your own piece of heaven, and join the mountains in there quite meditation.
  • Jason and Diana will do everything to elevate your airbnb experience, such a great hosts! The place has everything you'll need to have a comfortable stay. The views are just amazing, you have to see it yourself. It's a great place to relax with family/friends. Thank you Jason and Diana!

  • It's real great place to have a peaceful vocation in a small town. However, you need to walk 1 hour or take bus to go to the nearest Sainsbury or Tesco. And there is no Wifi. You only can use the GPRS sometimes, 3G or 4G. It's real cold in winter and the gas was broken when we live here. Luckily, the host fix them. If you want to have some entertainment, it seems do not have one. If you want to go to Loch Lomond, you need to take train to Glasgow and then Balloch and the ticket is £4.95. Overall, the place is really great and I really recommend you to live here in summer, you even can see the hundreds of stars, the kitchen has very nice tools, it will meets your entire needs to cook.

  • Thankyou for stay and good weather. The view was and is unforgettable. We had a wonderful stay. Bar/restaurant were extremely friendly. One of the most scenic places you can visit.

    Richard2017-06-25T00:00:00Z
  • Despite the great view from the caravan this was a disappointing stay for a number of reasons; the single beds mattresses were quit uncomfortable (even for kids) and the WiFi was not available in or near the Caravan itself. The caravan is really tight for a stay with 4 persons or more (though that could have been expected given this is a caravan). The caravan (and bedding) was quit damp (October); this improved after heating the place for a day.

  • Stayed here for 2 nights. Booked at the very last minute after another caravan let us down. Dealt with a lovely lady named Diane who was very accomodating and friendly. Caravan was absolutely spotless on arrival and perfect for our stay. The caravan has amazing views and there are lots of local attractions. My friends and I were able to explore the local area and get the ferry over to Rothesay for the day. The caravan itself was very spacious and was able to comfortably sleep 6. We were very happy with our stay and would definetly stay again. I would recommend this caravan to others who are seeking a relaxed weekend away. 10/10

This 6 berth static holiday caravan is situated within Cloch Caravan Site which has 24 acres of mature woodland as its setting. This is a beautiful location along the River Clyde and close to the Cloch Lighthouse by Gourock, We welcome dog(s) but we do restrict to a maximum of two animals. As a responsible dog owner you are expected to clean up after them. The caravan has wire mesh around the base to ensure dogs (and toddlers) cannot get under the caravan and make a bid for freedom..
There are many attractions and amenities in the surrounding area from Gourock to Largs and you can enjoy the easy access to many of the Scottish Isles with regular ferry trips from Gourock, Wemyss Bay and Largs plus Prestwick and the Ayrshire coast is an easy drive from here so there is no lack of things to see and do.
  • Beautiful location. The caravan is quite high up on the hill so the views are absolutely breathtaking. The caravan itself was spotlessly clean and furnished with everything you could need for your staying. Spacious, comfortable, nicely decorated. .. this was my first time ever in a caravan and it really felt like home. Comfy bed. Plenty of storage place. Lovely little balcony to eat outside while enjoying the view. Very peaceful place. Cannot comment on the caravan site, didn't use any facility. Not much to do in the area surrounding the site (just a couple of little towns and a massive port, Greenock), but plenty of lovely beaches and only 45 min drive to Loch Lomond (Balloch). Close to ferry crossing to Bute and the west. Better to have a car, so you can explore and move about. There's an Aldi in Greenock, only 8 min drive from the site. The owner, James, is terribly nice, helpful, and friendly. Perfect host. Thank you, I really hope I'll manage to be back soon!!!

    Ellie2017-07-10T00:00:00Z
  • Another wonderful stay at this clean and perfect caravan. Just myself and partner, with dog and it was the perfect getaway. Beautiful location and James couldn't be more helpful. There is laundry, cafe and small shop on site. There is also play parks. Always felt safe and views were to die for. Will definitely be booking again. Please be aware no wifi if this is important to you.

  • We enjoyed the whole process from booking to our stay. Jim's communication was always prompt and very clear. We really enjoyed our stay. The caravan was well equipped and was spotless. It is nicely decorated making it warm and homely. The bedding was very comfortable and the availability of hot water bottles lying at food of bed was a nice touch. The view from the lounge looking over to Dunoon is stunning. It is like a changing canvas with plenty of activity on the Clyde from yachts and ferries to naval and passenger ships. Jim was a great host and is more than happy to share his local knowledge with guests. We hope to visit again next year.

  • James was the most perfect host ever. Superfriendly, remembered the little things and made us feel most welcome. We felt right at home. Thank you for that fantastic weekend.

    Christian2017-10-22T00:00:00Z
  • What a magnificent caravan holiday. The caravan sits on a hill with views that have to been seen to be believed. From the mountains and sky to the water and ships passing by, it was possible to sit and watch it all for hours. There were 8 of us in the van, 8 grown men but there was plenty room for all. Everything worked and James was a warm and friendly host, welcoming us and being generally helpful. I have no reservations about recommending the caravan but would inform that it's quite a steep hill to walk up should you wish to use the bar on site (but the fantastic sea air is great for the constitution after a few beers!

  • Accommodation is at the best place in Loch Lomond with very nice views . Angela is a very lovely host with smile on her face always . Also she gave us great tips to see nearby places . One improvement I would like to see in the house is showers which are really basic and takes lot of time to adjust temperature. Also washbasin needs to have a mixture .

    Manoj2017-08-22T00:00:00Z
  • Angela's place is lovely. We arrived a few hours earlier than anticipated and after calling Angela to let her know we'd arrived she invited us to go to her place. The coach house is right on the Loch with cracking views over the water from everywhere in the house. The house is well equipped with everything we could need. Having more than one TV was a dream as I had my two children who argue over anything. The area is picture perfect with Loch, estuary's and more lochs. Lovely pubs and restaurants nearby and public transport plentiful. There is a large Co Op a short drive away, or the little newsagent for a smaller shop which also offers free cash withdrawals. A visit to the botanic gardens will not disappoint. There is a lot of history in Dunoon, we weren't short of things to do/visit. It was my 1st visit to Scotland and I'm so pleased I took the plunge and drove by myself the 8hour journey. I would recommend and will be returning.

  • Cliff & Linda's flat is wonderful! Their communications was great too with extremely quick response to any questions! The view was stunning and the central location in the area was very walk able. The many amenities all worked and help to make the stay that much more enjoyable. Electrical outlets and televisions were plentiful. The washer and dryer was very useful in our case as we had been on the road for a week before arriving at the flat. The espresso maker produced tasty coffee drinks every morning. The beautiful flowers were an extra special touch. We thank Cliff and Linda for a great stay and hope to stay again in the future!!!

The flat possesses magnificent views of the confluence of Loch Long and The River Clyde and beyond to Cowal peninsula and the isle of Arran. Cragowlet retains its defining architectural features as per its category 'B' listing from Historic Scotland
Cragowlet has been completely renovated over a period of 6 years and the work was completed during the summer of 2014. The renovation involved repair and restoration of most of its original features. During this restoration the opportunity was taken to upgrade the kitchen and bathrooms to modern standards whilst retaining the feel of a grand Victorian property. The house contains three full sized bedrooms with one twin and two doubles one of which is en-suit. The bathroom contains a bath as well as a separate shower with a 1 meter square shower tray. The lounge has 8 foot high bay windows with views over loch long. The kitchen/dinner also has views over the loch and full dining facilities for six people. Cragowlet Cottages were built mid 1850's as a tenement of four flats for Thomas Forgan and designed by Alexander (greek) Thomson. Alexander Thomson was an eminent Scottish architect and architectural theorist who was a pioneer in sustainable building. The building and surround is category 'B' listing from Historic Scotland. The flat possesses magnificent views of the confluence of Loch Long and The River Clyde and beyond to the Cowal peninsula and the isle of Arran. Cragowlet House East retains its defining architectural features with ornate plaster cornice work, 'period' fireplaces, plaster corbels, architraves, skirting and sash & case windows.
The villages of Cove & Kilcreggan are on the west coast of the Rosneath peninsular. It is geographically located in the middle of the Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park although not within the park boundaries. Driving time to Loch Lomond, Arrochar & Helensburgh are each approximately 25 minutes. Stirling & Dunoon (Benmore Botanic Gardens) are 90 minutes by car.
  • Brian's house is absolutely beautiful! From the very first moment, we have been overwhelmed. Attention is given to every detail. The view of the lake from such cosy and well shaped interior in harmonized colours and materials, all gave us much joy. No doubt the hours spent in cargowelt will a lasting memory.

  • We had a great time at Cragowlet. Although we didn't meet Brian and Nancy, everything was prepared with great attention to detail! We especially enjoyed the well-equipped kitchen. Would highly recommend this house to someone who wants a quiet place with a great view!

  • Brian and Nancy were so welcoming and kind! Cragowlet is absolutely beautiful, my friends and I had a lovely retreat there from Edinburgh. The house was gorgeous and the surrounding area was absolutely picturesque. Had a lovely cosy time writing essays by the fire (and the christmas tree!) and walking to the pebble beach right across the road. Saw dolphins on the first day!

    Isabelle2016-12-08T00:00:00Z
  • On top of being a beautiful home surrounded by beautiful scenery, Brian and Nancy have thought of everything. They are the most prepared and helpful hosts I have ever booked with. We enjoyed our stay immensely and can't recommend it enough!

  • We had a great stay in this beautiful listed building built in the 1850s. Loved the high ceilings and the stunning views across the sealoch! Brian was super helpful and even left us a little welcome the kitchen. We went for some lovely hikes in the nearby national park (Loch Lomond). Definitely coming back, a real bonus was the roaring fireplace in the evening! • The Oakbank Hotel was lovely. We had a really comfortable stay in this quiet, clean room on the water near the Trossachs. Everything was newly done up and the room we had was quite large. The pub was fun, but noise didn't travel up to the adjacent hotel (yay good night's sleep!). Fraser and Stacey were very welcoming. Would stay here again!

  • We had a lovely stay. Newly refurbished rooms. Fairly near the centre of Dunoon. Great scenery. Our host offered to drive us to our car which we had left at the wedding venue the night before - very nice stay!

  • A wonderfully relaxing holiday in a beautiful environment. Alison is a host like no other, and I have nothing but praise for her hospitality. She made us feel very comfortable and at home from the start, particularly given our terrible journey in getting there (she even, very kindly, drove us to places where she was working in her retro car since we cannot drive!) I highly recommend this holiday idea, and can only add to the chorus of pleasing comments below.

    Tianyan2013-08-01T00:00:00Z
  • I had a terrific time at Alison's place. She is a great host and you will feel right at home. I also had the unique opportunity to go sailing with some friends of Alison's which was one of the highlights of my stay in Scotland.

    Matt2014-04-30T00:00:00Z
  • Alice gave us a friendly welcome, even though we were late because of getting lost on our way through the highlands and having no more cellphone-akku to let her know. The room was large, light and we had an amazing view over the water. Definitely worth a trip!

  • Alison's house was lovely and very quaint. It had a beautiful view over the Loch and clean, comfortable amenities. We did not get the chance to meet Alison as she was away, however she was very communicative and helpful in making sure we found to location and were comfortable during our stay. Would definitely stay here again

    Janelle2014-06-27T00:00:00Z
  • Because I have unexpectedly changed my travelling plans in the very last moment, I haven't made it to Alison's place in the end. Despite this I can surely say she's very helpful and I belive she's a great host. She was quickly answering to all of my messages and helped me as she could. That was really nice to contact her and I still wish I could visit this beautiful house. I'm sure I will one day!

    Aleksandra2015-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • Just perfect: Nice host, wonderful flat (just my taste :-)) and the most gorgeous, quiet location at the Holy Loch. Easily accessible from Glasgow by ferry and with a great restaurant next door. Although I came from the North which was a bit complicated, but a trip with wonderful views of the Highlands. Definitely one of the highlights of my trip. Unfortunately I didn't have enough time, I would have preferred to stay one day longer to explore the area and maybe chat with Alison who's a very kind, intelligent woman, I felt very welcome there.

  • Beautiful house, really spacious living room. The host lives just below and was very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay, however, there were a few things we didnt like: There is no wifi in the house. The bathroom has no hooks so it was a little inconvenient when showering, and it had no trash bin so not very female friendly.. location is a bit quiet, we arrived in the evening and had to drive 30min away to helensburgh to look for restaurants.

The property is in need of upgrading as it looks old fashioned but all seems to be in working order and we would happily recommend this property for anyone looking for somewhere to stay in this area. • This is a great house in a beautiful location; it is indeed 'a peaceful home'. We (family of 3) stayed for nearly a week, and it was one the best vacations we ever had. The house is fully equipped, the beds comfortable, and we even made friends with the neighbor's cats ;-) it's just a 30 minute drive to reach Loch Lomond, and many other great day trips are also within easy driving distance. Monzie Villa is a Self Catering Upper floor holiday apartment in the beautiful village of Blairmore. The home is the second floor apartment of an old Victorian villa. It has been tastefully refurbished and redecorated and comfortably accomodates 8 people across its 4 bedrooms. You can easily lose yourself, dozing on the floor in front of the large bay window overlooking the Loch. The Loch has much sea going traffic as can be seen from the photos shown in the gallery.
The apartment has wonderful views across the Clyde and Loch Long. When the Loch is calm and still, you may catch a glimpse of a seal and the porpoise.
  • This home is located right on the water on beautiful Loch Long. We enjoyed the front room with bay windows looking out over the lochs and spent most of our time in that room. Even though the listing indicates it is a full home, be aware it's actually just the top floor of the home (which still has all of the bedrooms/beds/bathrooms indicated in the listing). The apartment is only about 50 minutes from the center of Glasgow (including ferry time which the kids loved) and is about an hour from Loch Lomond and Inveraray Castle by car. It was a great location to be out of the way and enjoying gorgeous Scottish lochs and mountains. Iain was very accommodating on a short booking scheduled and we were able to get to the apartment with little issue. If you are coming to stay be sure to ask the host if you need to bring towels for showering/bathing, paper towels, and garbage bags. We've notified the host of these omissions and so things may be different for you, but it caught us off guard and just want to let others know.
