“This will be a magical experience to see! Stop in at "The Freezer" in Homosassa for the best peel and eat shrimp or at Becky Jacks in Weeki Wachee for awesome eats made from scratch.”

Park
“This park provides a lovely boardwalk around Three Sisters Springs to view the manatees from above. The manatee season at Crystal River NWR begins in mid-November and ends in late March. During the winter months, manatees come to the springs to conserve the energy necessary to survive the cold Gulf waters. Sometimes hundreds will gather there to stay warm. During Spring and Summer, you may or may not see any manatees there. ”

“If you're visiting from July 1 through Sept. 24, you might want to go scalloping in the Gulf. It's a lot of fun to search the eel grasses for these tasty critters! There are plenty of local charters who will take you out snorkeling for the day. Most will shuck your catch at the end of the day. Then you can grill them up later for dinner. Some local restaurants will cook them for you as well.”
