“Today, there’s the British Public House, a 145-seat family-friendly restaurant with live-music space, the British Pub, a cosy adults-only whisky bar and dining area with seating for 47, a boutique hotel and a massive outside patio and courtyard. The British Café, located next door in a former bank, is a coffee and lunch hotspot. ”

“Not really a bar. Bit more of a pub. I would go again for the fish and chips. Cool atmosphere. Was an old house converted to a business. Worth checking out at least for one late meal. ”

“An Ottawa chain of gastro pubs, the Barley Mow serves dozens of beers on tap and a wide selection of much better than normal food. Open 7 days a week until 2 am. Saturdays the Mow has wine specials for $20/bottle. Sundays kids eat free all day and they have gourmet Caesars and frozen Margarita’s for $5 plus quart bottles of Corona for $6. We recommend you try the house curry and the Big Mow burger. Live music most weekends.”

Sports Bar

“Not really a bar. If you want to have a late night dinner with a beer while watching a sports game. I would say check this place out. Usually have whichever hockey game is on that night. An okay spot to just relax for a few with a pint. ”

“Nothing fancy. Just plain ole good fashioned cheap drinks and billiards! Rien de luxueux. Simplement du bon vieux billard et des boissons bon marché!”

“Their fish and chips is in competition for #1 with Restaurant Antonyme (also listed as a favourite on this list). Delicious food and beer and the upstairs is the fancy Maison Conroy. It's a 9-minute walk.”
