“A great break from the fish & chips/burger & chips of so many places, this does pizzas and nice snacks and good coffee. It is pronounced 'she-a'.”

“Portree Co-op is the nearest supermarket - don't go to the small one in the village - its more expensive. Note - this is not a picture of it!”

Meal Takeaway
“If you ask at An Praban you might get a local fisherman to get you some fresh catch. Anyone in the area is allowed to catch their own, for home consumption, and might have a crab or lobster spare. More reliably, go to this place in Kyle of Lochalsh and say Morag sent you. Much of seafood consumed across the continent is caught in Scottish waters and exported - catch it at its freshest. Morag is pronounced 'moor-ag'.”

“The Isle of Skye baking company is a wee bit out of Portree but it dose great lunch breads and sweet treats. They have a variety of lovely short breads that are also great as wee gifts. Also if you're a Tea drinker they have a good variety and even some local blends that are very tasty. ”

“The Old Pier in Broadford has a gallery, craft/wool shop and guess what? there's an old pier! You'll see fishing boats and can walk along the very uneven surface. Look out for seabirds, herons and if you're lucky seals, otters and other sealife.”
