Featured on Tiny House Hunters, but far from tiny! Stays comfortable and warm in winter months and refreshingly cool in the summer. This floating abode was gutted & completely rebuilt using reclaimed materials, sweat, & love. You'll find her spacious, comfortable, & peaceful. The location of this boat is for people looking for tranquil, private, and quiet getaway. Enjoy coffee & cocktails on the large deck overlooking the harbor.
Our boat was not impacted by hurricane Irma, come enjoy beautiful Charleston! Featured on FYI Network's Tiny House Hunters! Very spacious houseboat with vaulted 12' ceiling in the main cabin (living room). Sleeps 3 comfortably. Lots of room to move around with a queen size bed in the Captain's Quarters (Bedroom) and a twin bed in the living room that's a day bed. The boat is located downtown in a PRIVATE slip at Seabreeze Marina. This accommodation is for people looking for peace and tranquility in a unique and beautiful houseboat. The setting of the marina is quiet and secluded. In your private slip, you'll have a stunning view of Charleston Harbor and the Ravenel Bridge. FAQ: Q: Bathroom, explain! A: The boat is equipped with a house sized water heater ensuring you get hot water throughout the boat. Know, however, that you are staying on a boat. Long hot showers can be difficult. But you'll always have enough hot water to enjoy a 10 - 15 minute shower. The boat has a full sized toilet and we ask that you ONLY always use marine grade toilet paper (included) to ensure it never clogs. Q: Heat? AC? A: Our boats are equipped with BOTH heat and AC. No matter the time of year you visit you can be assured that you will be staying in a nice comfortable environment! Q: What to expect that's different than a hotel? A: It's a boat, it is a unique FUN experience. There may be noises and smells that you'd expect from a boat. Pumps, motors, ocean water, etc. Q: Wave action? A: The marina has a sea wall which dilutes the waves. There is still a small amount of wave action and you'll feel a slight rock from time-to-time. If there's a bad storm or the wave action gets to a point that your stay is no longer enjoyable, we will work out alternative accommodations for you. Your comfort is our top priority. This offer is only if there is abnormal waves due to major storms. 99% of the time the marina is almost totally flat and calm. Q: Handicap accessible? A: No. You'll need to get on the boat which requires a 1-2' step and there are steps on the boat. The deck stairs are steep and you'll need to be sure footed. Q: Space? A: You'll find the layout of the boat extremely spacious and comfortable.
Extremely safe and private marina in downtown Charleston. The entrance to the marina is shared with the Port Authority which has a 24/7 guard. There is a train which blocks the road to the marina leading into the port authority but it only comes 1-2X per day. Sometimes it can block the roadway for up to 20 minutes but that is infrequent.
  • The boat was simply amazing! Accurate description of directions within the marina. The photographs perfectly described the location, view, and sizing of the boat. The spot was very close to downtown and short drive to downtown Charleston. Definitely a must stay in Charleston! My boyfriend and I plan to stay here again on our next trip to Charleston!

  • The house boat was a perfect experience and met all expectations. The description and pics are exactly what you get. It was nice to be able to have some wine and cheese on the upper deck and watch the dolphins. Although it was cold out, the provided space heaters kept us nice and cozy warm. We absolutely loved the design and nice decorative touches. I would stay here again without question.

  • Just as described and pictured. The location is perfect and not a far distance from all the sights. It's a great escape from a typical cookie cutter hotel suite. If you love boats and being on the water you'll love this! Bed comfortable, shower pressure good, 2 flat screens. Only suggestion...provide plastic wine glasses >

  • This place is magical, it's like being on your own private island. We were lucky enough to see the sunrise over the bridge the first morning we were there and it was definitely worth waking up early. It's a really quick drive to town or $6-$10 uber ride (great if your going out to dinner) Justin and Shauna were incredible hosts, they were super responsive and and really went the extra mile to make sure we were taken care of while letting us have our privacy. Overall really unique and wonderful place to stay - we'd come back In a heartbeat :)

Welcome to the strange nexus of the universe where you can live tiny and large at the same time! We can't wait to host you. Please read our profile and take note of the house rules, then let us know if you have any questions!
This newly-built tiny home tries really hard to be as wonderful as the cedar tree it sits next to. It even dressed in fancy cedar siding and lathered itself with tung oil. And although its efforts may have failed (it's hard to top mother nature), a definite theme has been born. Runner-up names included Hail Cedar! and 20,000 Leagues Beneath the Cedar. Special amenities: - Two cruiser bicycles (one smaller, one larger) - Two comfy beach chairs, beach towels, bag, and a cooler - Two hammocks! - Outdoor patio with rocking chairs - Outdoor shower - Unique board games designed for two-person play - Bluetooth speaker - White noise maker - A small book collection The bicycles are especially great, because there are wonderful restaurants and music venues within a leisurely five minute ride. More on that later. Now, onto the house: It's tiny! But it doesn't feel that way. The light color of the bamboo flooring, the many windows and the high ceilings help to open it up. The loft holds a queen-sized mattress, which sits low to the floor on tatami mats. There is a full bath with a rain-down shower, air vent, and cloth curtain door. There is a fully functional kitchen, with gas stove and microwave. There is a desk/table and a futon couch that opens to sleep an (additional) adult or two young children (who are very welcome). Amenities for daily living abound: wi-fi; soaps, towels & bed linens; cookware; electrical kettle; coffee maker and french press; a selection of teas and coffee; wine glasses and a wine opener, etc. If you are in need of anything, just ask!
If you're driving at the right time, you can be downtown in less than ten minutes or on Folly Beach in fifteen. Or you can easily jump to John's Island, where you can check out the Angel Oak or go wake boarding and play disc golf on Whitney Lakes. When you decide to come back, the perfect location awaits: relaxing and peaceful, with great venues just a walk or bike ride away. We're very happy to live where we do. The neighborhood, Riverland Terrace, is full of charm and wonderful people. Funky 1950's bungalows are sprinkled throughout. All who live here seem to do so with joy. Joggers, dog walkers, and families abound. There is a golf course, a community garden, and beautiful Wappoo Drive, lined with a tunnel of live oaks. There is a children's park and boat landing. And there is, within a three minute bike ride or short walk, some really great businesses: an indie movie theater (The Terrace Theatre), a jazz bar/cafe (How Art Thou), great restaurants (Zia's Taqueria, Crust, Maybank Public House, & The Lot), and a larger-sized music venue (The Pour House). There is also a farmer's market at the Pour House on Sundays, 11am-3pm. This is not to be missed, with live music and drinks and local crafts. You can cruise there via the bicycles if you like.
  • Wonderful home

  • I loved the tiny house! Cozy and inviting with all the conveniences. Perfect for a simple getaway!

    Lucas2016-09-07T00:00:00Z
  • The tiny house was great, and it was a very good price in comparison to other places to stay. It was a good location with lots of places to eat nearby. Folly Beach, Sullivan's Island, and historic downtown were reasonably close. Brian was very kind and helpful during the stay.

    Larry2017-09-23T00:00:00Z
  • Loved this tiny house. Had everything we needed. Location was easy access to downtown Charleston. Check in and check out were very convenient. Decor is modern and still gives you a home feeling. Best airbnb experience yet. Thanks Brian! We'll be back for sure! :)

  • Brian is a wonderful host. He has detailed notes, and wonderful amenities included in this awesome tiny house! 15 minutes from downtown Charleston and close to Folly beach, so it was a great place to stay!

  • The Tiny House was Perfect for our one night stay in Charleston! We stopped in for lunch at Charleston Crab House on our way in - 2 min away! After check in we drove 15 minute down the road to Charleston Outdoor Adventures and went on a 2 hour kayaking tour - AWESOME! We were able to rest up at the tiny house and take advantage of walking to dinner just a few blocks away at Zia (great shrimp taco!!) Brian & Ava's tiny house was perfect for what we needed, a cozy home base in a fabulous location! Thanks Brian & Ava!

Great location, laid back and hands- off hosts, and completely private and detached garage apartment. Walk to dozens of shops, restaurants and bars, and just a 3 mile drive or $8 Uber ride to historic King Street. About 10 miles to all 3 beaches. Park right outside your apartment!
This is a cool, clean, modern detached garage apartment in Charleston's coolest neighborhood- Avondale. Avondale has been named coolest neighborhood 3 years running by Charleston City Paper, and it's easy to see why. Walk or bike to over a dozen pubs, restaurants, shops, salons, yoga studios, etc... including Pearlz, Al di la, Triangle, The Glass Onion, Mex 1, Gene's Haufbrau, Voodoo, and The Roost, (to name a few) all just a block or so away from the apartment. We are only 3 miles to the heart of historic downtown Charleston, and only 20 minutes to Folly, Sullivan's or Isle of Palms. We are also only a few blocks from the West Ashley greenway- a local biking/walking/running path that cuts through the city. It's a great way to get your exercise in, or to get over to South Windemere shopping center to do a little eating at Med Bistro or shopping at Half Moon Outfitters. The apartment is a true studio- with no walls separating living areas, but it's charming and clean, and you can't beat the location. Fully equipped kitchen as well. This IS NOT downtown Charleston- it is just over the drawbridge from the peninsula. You will have access to beach chairs, a beach Umbrella and a cooler if you would like. Anything else, just ask and we will try to accommodate ! We try to meet all guests face to face upon check in if possible, but occasionally leave a key under the mat if we aren't going to be around. Other than that- we don't interact with guests much unless we see each other coming and going in the driveway. Feel free to approach us with questions, but we understand how guests prefer privacy on vacation, and we try to respect this. A car is the best way to get downtown- even though it's only a few miles a way there is no bike lane on the Ashley River bridge- so unless you are an experienced bike rider - I would drive- but once you are downtown, walking or biking is the best way to see everything. Closer to home, here in Avondale, almost everything is within walking or biking distance, and it's easy to get around that way. An uber ride downtown is $8-$10.Taxis are fairly inexpensive as well, and there is a city bus that stops a block away, but Charleston isn't known for its public transit, so I can't vouch for it. There are also water taxis that can take you to Mount Pleasant and back! There is a tall set of stairs leading up to the apartment and the shower is pretty small.
Avondale is a trendy community just outside the Charleston peninsula- about 3 miles to the heart of the Historic District. It is comprised of several modest but eclectic neighborhoods surrounding a thriving bar & restaurant scene. This is not a tourist spot so you will likely be the only tourists there! Walk to dinner, breakfast, yoga, groceries, thrift stores- you name it.
  • Our experience was absolutely perfect! The place was perfect and Brett and Shannon have done an amazing job by making this place absolutely oerfecf. They had information waiting in the room full of things to do with notes om them to help. They made our trip wonderful!

    Doc2016-07-21T00:00:00Z
  • Super hosts, super area and super airbnb apartment. Very spacious and private and a lovely place to just hangout. Brett and Shannon have a pre-prepared folder with a ton of information on restaurants and local attractions plus they were very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend.

    Krister2016-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I stayed here for two nights and loved it. The space was very cozy, clean and comfortable. Our hosts were great at communicating via text since we didn't have a chance to meet in person. I would recommend staying here again!

    Loren2016-03-18T00:00:00Z
  • This was my first airbnb experience and it could not have gone better! Brett and Shannon have a wonderful apartment, about a ten minute drive from downtown Charleston. My boyfriend and I felt very comfortable in their place, and we would definitely stay again! Brett and Shannon replied almost immediately to our questions/requests--they are fantastic hosts. Thanks again!

    Alexandra2014-04-17T00:00:00Z
  • When requesting a visit at Brett and Shannon's guest apartment, we received a prompt reply. Everything was as advertised when we arrived at their cozy, clean dwelling. They have gone to great lengths to make recommendations for what to see and where to dine and shop. This was especially helpful, as our stay was short. Our only suggestion would be to replace the full-sized bed with a queen, to better accommodate larger guests! Charleston was a wonderful place to visit and you won't go wrong if you select this space as your home away from home!

    Steven2015-11-06T00:00:00Z
  • We loved this apartment at Brett and Shannon's home. Very big and comfortable. Beautiful setting, loved the way the place was decorated. Wish we'd had more time to stay. I would have been happy just sitting around the place reading with a cup of coffee if we hadn't been there to see Charleston. Cute neighborhood! It was a short commute to all the attractions in and around Charleston. I'd love to come back. Brett and Shannon were very friendly and gracious.

    Mary Jane2015-04-29T00:00:00Z
  • Brett and Shannon's place near downtown Charleston was ideal for my husband and I! We had access to tons of local fun shops that were a bike ride away (also there was a fun little trail you could spend some serious time on) and had the convenience of having only a short car ride that catapulted us into the heart of the city. Brett and Shannon were a delight to meet and an easy going couple that made coming and going as we please a breeze. If you are looking for a gorgeous space and easy access to wonderful things in Charleston this is a dynamite little place to try out!

    Eva2013-08-08T00:00:00Z
  • Shannon made us feel very welcome and immediately greeted us upon arrival. She was quick to answer any questions we had. The space was very clean and homey - warm & comfortable. Also made some very thoughtful gestures by having a motion sensor light outside and reminded us to leave porch light on if we were going out at night. Came home and lanterns lining the walkway were lit as well. Would definitely stay there again & would recommend it to friends visiting the area. Excellent locale - close to downtown, in a very cute neighborhood and within walking distance to some cool spots as well. Loved it!!!

Come stay in the heart of the new downtown, 2 blocks from the restaurants and shops of upper King and only a few minutes more from everything else the city has to offer. Large queen bed and queen sleeper sofa, fully equipped kitchen, clawfoot tub and even more luxuries.
This apartment is uniquely at the intersection of newly-built luxury and historical charm. It just had the finishing touches put on in January 2016, so it is brand new. However, it is an addition to a lovely Caribbean-inspired Victorian house built in 1886, so that facade is what you will see from the street. Charleston suffered a large earthquake in August of 1886, and even though the house was not yet finished it withstood the earthquake that destroyed hundreds of other bigger, stronger buildings nearby. It was repaired and finished before the year's end. The materials, decor and furniture chosen for this addition are a mix of salvage from the original house, antiques, and reproductions. This is intended to reflect the eclectic range of styles that were most prominent in the house as it was found. This light-filled hideaway is a quick walk to most of the main museums, theaters, music venues, parks, and of course our excellent shopping. Nothing on the peninsula is more than about a mile away. There is a free bus that is easy to pick up, rickshaws, and of course you can always grab an Uber! It is also only a five minute walk from the best restaurants and bars on Upper King Street, directly across the street from Sugar Bakeshop and a block away from the world famous Hominy Grill. A food lover couldn't ask for a better location! Some special features of this apartment are: -ability to sleep four with queen size premium mattress sofa bed -a spacious roof deck with a view of the Ravenel Bridge complete with pool chairs, table and umbrella - Third-story 360-degree glassed-in sun room with plush seating -wifi and smart/cable televisions in both living room and bedroom -off-street parking area -Freshly reglazed antique clawfoot tub with ceiling-mounted adjustable shower head -fully equipped kitchenette with all new appliances including gas stove, full-size refrigerator, garbage disposal, and every utensil you need to make a meal with the beautiful things you'll buy at the farmers market in Marion Square! And don't forget to peruse what could be called the Second Bible in Charleston, the cookbook "Charleston Receipts," as well as the other cookbooks on the shelves -Kitchen is also stocked with coffee, tea, spices, flour, sugar, oils and most other non-perishables for your convenience -Washer and dryer (including detergent and fabric softener) available upon request -local owners to answer your questions and bring extra blankets, towels, etc. or fix anything that may go wrong Cannon Street and neighbor Spring Street are where most of the wedding businesses and many of the wedding venues are located if that is a concern. We live nearby and happy to assist with any of your needs, issues with the property, or even just recommendations for things to do or places to eat.
Cannonborough is walkable, full of restaurants and shops, and all-around beautiful! It has an interesting mix of architectural styles and houses in various states of preservation. At the same time there are some of the most renovation jobs happening here at the moment out of anywhwere in the city, (not close enough to be loud) with more buildings being returned to their former glory every day. New businesses seem to be popping up just as often- wedding halls, gourmet French places, coffee shops, bars, ice cream parlors, boutiques, even a crepe restaurant and a boba shop. It is certainly an exciting time to be in Cannonborough!
  • My husband & are spent the first part of our honeymoon in Charleston & we loved it! Ajs place was so cute! It was super clean and the bed was SO comfortable. Like so comfy we wish we could bring it with us - haha. We loved all the cute little books too! Can't say enough about it. We basically took Uber everywhere except when we walked to Hominy Grill (delicious for dinner and breakfast!) and Sunrise Bistro Express and when we spent the day at Kiawah Island! << beautiful quiet beach if you don't like crowds like at Folly. Anyway we definitely recommend Ajs place and would love to come back!

    Aimee2017-07-06T00:00:00Z
  • The house was awesome! The decor was beautiful and we all around loved the house. Most importantly, it was close to everything. We could walk to most places, and everything else was a quick uber ride away. Allison has tons of books and guides to Charleston in the house, which were all super helpful in planning our activities. We will definitely be back!!

    Dara2016-12-05T00:00:00Z
  • Alison responded quickly to all inquiries and made the check-in process quick and easy. The apartment is spacious, clean and well-appointed. We loved the decor, the mix of old and new and the rooftop deck! We had everything that we needed to prepare meals and enjoyed eating and sharing a glass of wine on the rooftop deck. It is evident that Alison thought through everything that a guest would need to feel comfortable. It was the perfect home away from home! The apartment is very conveniently located to several local restaurants and amenities - just a couple of blocks from King Street restaurants, shopping and bars, across from a bakery and coffee shop, and one block from Hominy Grill. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and are already looking forward to the next time!

    Brittany2016-09-14T00:00:00Z
  • First and foremost -- know that the pictures posted here actually pale in comparison (if you can imagine!) to the reality of how awesome Alison's place is! My husband and I honeymooned in Charleston and Alison's apartment was everything we could've asked for. We walked EVERYWHERE and loved exploring all Charleston had to offer while having our own cozy little nook right in the heart of it all. The sun room was our favorite spot for morning coffee and nightcaps before bed. We would definitely recommend this spot for anyone looking to explore Charleston and truly feel like a local!

    Diana2016-05-27T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely wonderful and central place to stay. Everything is new, clean, and very modern. Within a 5 minute walk of shops. AJ explained everything and made us feel welcome. Highly recommended!

    Alex2016-06-04T00:00:00Z
  • We had such a memorable time celebrating our anniversary here. The apartment was conveniently located near some of the best shops and restaurants. It is also very well-designed and well-stocked, so you may find yourself wanting to just hang out at 'home' for awhile... We cooked a nice dinner in, and took full advantage of the rooftop sunroom/deck to hang out, sip wine, and watch the stars. Lastly, Alison was very responsive, flexible with check in/out, and attentive to detail - a wonderful host. Thanks for helping make our experience here special!

    Philip2016-09-07T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment was clean, charming and comfortable and the roof deck and sun room were incredible. Alison left clear instructions and provided lots of tips about how to enjoy Charleston. The location is fabulous and we can't wait to stay here again!

    Lucy2016-12-18T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing location, really charming apartment, rooftop is a great bonus! Apartment is kind of around the back of the house. The apartment is true to Charleston! We had a great time.

A vintage/eclectic twist! The Elliotborough neighborhood is favored by foodies, artists, and med students who enjoy the proximity to all that's great about Charleston! This apartment is fresh, bright, and ready to host your Charleston adventure.
Located in a sweet little enclave of turn-of-the-century houses and "dependencies", our building was once a 4-room home, the smallest of all possible "single house" styles found throughout Charleston. This upstairs unit is a perfect getaway for your Charleston adventure! *** Off-street parking spot right at the foot of our steps (NOTE: The spot is very tight, and nothing larger than a small SUV/Crossover will fit) *** Smart TV with Cable, Netflix, Pandora, etc. *** Wi-Fi *** Gas range, microwave, and coffee maker *** Nicely appointed kitchen *** Beach towels *** Hairdryer *** Queen-sized bed *** All linens, towels, etc.
The neighborhood is trendy, in the best sense of the word, with great food all around! Not stuffy or manicured by any means, more of a "real people" downtown experience. Easy access to all of town, the College of Charleston, Citadel, MUSC, OR be at the beach in 10-15 minutes by car!
  • We contacted Paula a few hours before we arrived by car in Charleston. She answered us right away and let us know she could accommodate us. We were very grateful to have such a convenient, cozy, clean, charming place to stay. Paula appeared very committed to making sure all our needs were met (they were). She's a wonderful host! Thank you, Paula!

    Carol (& Tim)2014-09-24T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect place for our stay in Charleston! Paula checked in with us by phone and we had complete privacy. We felt very welcomed by Paula and her family and would have been comfortable contacting them if we had needed anything. The bungalow was so cozy and was exactly what we needed for a home away from home!

    Lindsay2015-06-25T00:00:00Z
  • This is a wonderfully cozy condo that was perfect for our vacation to Charleston. It is clean and well decorated. It was the perfect size for a couple. It's a bit of a walk into town; about 25 minutes. But, it's a very pleasant walk. Being a bit out of downtown is a great way to save some money. Paula was very responsive, and she was accommodating when we wanted to check-in early. Lovely place at a reasonable price!

    Katie2014-10-18T00:00:00Z
  • Comfortable, cozy, and centrally-located, Paula's condo with a twist is an urban haven for the weary traveler. I lacked for nothing in my 3 night stay, and wished I could have stayed longer to get to know Charleston even better. While the unit is small, it's well-equipped and nicely furnished, with retro and international touches that inspire wanderlust. It's off-street location ensured a quiet night's rest. I hope to return! Thank you, Paula!

    Allison2015-07-01T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed our stay in Paula's condo. The place was very clean, comfortable, and stylish. Their communication was great. The area was convenient- walking distance to many restaurants, bars, and shops. I highly recommend it!

    Joanne & Rob2014-03-26T00:00:00Z
  • Paula was a fantastic host and the apartment was just perfect! downtown is a 20-30 minute walk, depending where you are going, but there are lots of interesting restaurants and bars right around the place. As others mentioned, Five Loaves Cafe was fantastic. Thanks Paula!

    Jen2013-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • The condo is neat, clean and was just the right size for the two of us. We like to walk and it was a fairly easy walk downtown of about a mile. There is good food available in the area. Parking is tight with a lot of twisting to get out, but nice to have a secure place to park. Paula has the house down to a science and has thought of most everything in getting you in and out easily. Her decorating scheme in the apartment was tasteful and was very much appreciated by my wife. We would recommend the "Downtown condo with a twist" to anyone looking for a place to stay in Charleston.

    Joe2014-05-01T00:00:00Z
  • We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Paula's Charleston Condo. It was exactly as expected and we instantly felt right at home. We loved being able to cook breakfast in the morning and have a quiet place to head back to at the end of the day. Very bright and comfortable, would definitely recommend. Paula and her team were wonderful and no more than a text away should we need anything.

Located in the quiet Wagener Terrace Neighborhood in downtown Charleston just about a 3-5 minute drive (or short bike ride) from Upper King, amazing restaurants and shopping. Gorgeous 76 acre Hampton Park is right around the corner as well as the Citadel Military College and the Ashley River. Our local Charleston farmer's market at Marion Square is just over a mile and half away along with many historic sites. Everything downtown is very convenient and easily accessible by car, taxi, pedicab, or bike. Uber is now alive and well in Charleston. Feel free to bring your own bikes or I can recommend some nearby bike rental companies.
  • Anne Marie's place was perfect. Excellent location with just a short drive to downtown Charleston and with a beautiful park within walking (or jogging) distance. The place itself was very accommodating, with plenty of space and a beautiful new bathroom/shower. Would highly recommend to anyone staying in the Charleston area.

  • Met with Anne Marie upon arriving to the Apt. she was very nice and helpful with information of places to check out like restaurants and bars. The Apartment is attached to the back side of the House and I thought it was very nice and well decorated in good taste. The bed is very comfortable. Nice bathroom and shower. The Apt is close to Hampton park and Citadel.

  • Our stay at Anne Marie's in Charleston was wonderful. Her unit it full of southern charm and hospitality. The wine and coffee she left us was much appreciated. The walk in closet and exquisite bathroom were nice perks, the shower was very relaxing after a long day of wedding planning. We are ready to return again and we just left.

  • We had a great stay! The place was even nicer than in the photos and everything was of the highest quality. Anne Marie made us feel so welcome with written suggestions for exploring Charleston, and even a bottle of wine. While the place is technically connected to the house - we felt secluded and had full privacy. Anne Marie was quick and kind with correspondence and we'd be happy to rent from her anytime we find ourselves back in this great city!

    Emily2015-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • Communication, location and directions were very clear. The space was very clean, beautiful, and very welcoming.

  • My stay at Anne Marie's was great. Besides being located in a great neighborhood downtown, her place is just as nice as can be. Anne Marie is super responsive and welcoming. Stay here if you get the chance. I will certainly try to the next time I'm in town. Blake L.

    Blake2016-07-14T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay at Anne Marie's. The room has everything you need to make yourself at home. My favorite part of it all was that we could walk to breakfast and the park. Makes for such a great morning! The neighborhood is super cute and everyone we encountered on our walk was so nice and pleasant! Overall, just an excellent stay. I would definitely stay again.

  • We enjoyed our stay.

  • Great value... Very nice location. Pool and beach were very nice. Even the food in the little town was better than expected. Easy location for Charleston and other travels.

    Joel2017-04-18T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed our stay. The condo has a beautiful view of the ocean and easy access to the beach. Even though there is only one bedroom, this place sleeps more people very nicely. My daughter stayed over one night and slept in the bunk bed and my teenage son slept on the sleeper sofa the entire week. Both reported that they slept comfortably. We plan to come back to Charleston in the future and will look into staying at John's again.

    Deborah2017-04-07T00:00:00Z

  • The house was nice but certainly not “a touch of Paradise”, as stated in the description of the space. The description states: “Please note that one bedroom has queen bed, with a private bath.” The bath is not really private; you have to go into the main upstairs hallway to enter the bathroom. Upon entering the bathroom, you can be viewed from the living room below. Not private at all. The shower curtain in the bathroom was covered in black mold and the toilet tank top was broken. Brenda advertised “and I would say I'm a lovely host.......” Brenda was cordial but not friendly. She said hello upon entering the house and would immediately retreat to her bedroom where she would stay. She made us feel that we were invading her home and she wanted nothing to do with us. It was extremely uncomfortable. The description states: “sit on the deck and enjoy the wildlife”, however the deck furniture is dirty and the deck not well maintained. Air B&B properties have different cancellation policies which are selected by the owner. Brenda has selected a “strict” cancellation policy, which means you will not receive any money back if you choose to leave early. We did want to leave one day early and notified Brenda in advance but she would not refund any money. But worst of all, she maintained she did not know what the cancellation policy was, which indeed was set by her. Would not recommend this property.

  • We had a great trip and enjoyed staying in Brenda's beautiful home. We were quite busy with a wedding but very much enjoyed our stay.

  • Brenda is a great host. Her home is perfect for relaxing and unplugging from the world for a bit. It's a short walk to the beach, her home has a wonderful deck that overlooks the golf course and there is some nice places to eat nearby. I look forward to my next visit.

  • Brenda's house is so beautiful and very comfortable. We were able to come and go as we pleased. We felt very at home in her house. My husband only saw Brenda once while we were there. She gave us our privacy, but was around if we needed anything. We will definitely look forward to another stay at Brenda's. Thank you for making our first Airbnb stay a wonderful experience.

    Josh2013-05-22T00:00:00Z
  • I came for peace and quiet and that's what I got. Brenda's house is lovely, and while we chatted occasionally, there is plenty of space to do your own thing... particularly the wonderful west-facing deck overlooking the golf course and waterway. Thank you for the morning coffee! It's an easy walk to the beach through a lovely neighborhood, and convenient to all the area attractions. I hope to come back soon.

Seewee Cottage is a cozy home just one block from the Beach
Seewee cottage is only a block from the beach and is a cozy little 1974 brick cottage. Has hardwood floors through out and a wonderful side patio to enjoy
Welcome to Seewee Cottage on Isle of Palms, SC. Isle of Palms is located just 15 miles from Charleston. Originally named Hunting Island and then long Island, it's thought to be at least 25,000 years old, and first inhabited by the indigenous Seewee Indians. It was purchased in 1899 by J. S. Lawrence, who renamed it the Isle of Palms. It was only accessible by Ferry or by railroad until a bridge link to the islands was established in 1946, and at that time most of the Isle Of Palms was purchased by developer JC Long of the Beach Company. As he began Development, JC Long provided low-cost housing to veterans returning from World War II . The Isle of Palms slowly developed into a residential Bedroom community of greater Charleston while still maintaining its charm, Natural beauty, and desirability as a summertime getaway destination.
  • This was my second trip to Calvin's IOP property. Immaculate upon arrival, the rooms were well lit with soft music in the background. Zero issues whatsoever throughout my stay, however I know Calvin would have been more than accommodating had I needed anything. Highly recommend any of his properties.

    Lauren2016-09-09T00:00:00Z
  • Calvin's place was perfect for us - so close to the beach, the perfect size. He was extremely accomodating and we had the perfect vacation!

    Cara2016-07-16T00:00:00Z
  • Really enjoyed staying at the cottage. The location is great - a short walk down to the beach. The house was clean and as advertised. Calvin was accommodating for our check-in which we really appreciated. Overall I would recommend this to anyone wanting to stay in the IOP area.

  • Calvin was very responsive. Our arrival was delayed due to the hurricane and he kept us posted so that we could our plans. The cottage was in a great location close to the beach. The fenced in back yard was great for dogs. The house had everything you can thing of, well beyond any realty rental. That saved us shopping in the long run.

    Stefanie2016-10-17T00:00:00Z
  • We visited for my birthday and had the most amazing time! Calvin is AWESOME. We were able to bring our two fur babies with no issue and had a great backyard for them. Chairs, umbrella and a beach wagon were available for us to use. The house itself is perfect - very spacious, great furniture pieces (love that table Calvin!), and very clean. The location is great as it's a very short walk to the beach but close to everything. I'm running out of compliments for this vacation home - we can't wait to stay again!!

    Kristopher2016-05-04T00:00:00Z
  • This house was absolutely perfect for our long weekend! The location was superb, less than a block walk from public beach access. Very clean home, great ammentities with everything you would need. Calvin's communication was fabulous, incredible host! Had a beach wagon, chairs, beach towels that you were able to use as well! Don't think twice! Book this place now!!

  • Great place for beach time! The beach cart was huge and so helpful for getting the stuff provided (beach chairs, umbrella, boogie boards, toys, towels, etc.) to the beach easily. Also, easy walk to Marina (restaurant options, bar, live music, market)

  • Dolphin's Dance was wonderful! David and Lynn were very gracious hosts and were quick to respond to any needs/requests. The guest home is very close to the beach and no more than a 5 minute walk. Also, this part of the beach was very beautiful and much quieter than the area closer to town. Thank you again for a wonderful stay!

  • Dolphins Dance is a wonderful place to stay in the Low Country. It is close to the beach, close to dining and Low Country nightlife. The Suite is roomy with lots of storage space, spacious bathroom, great shower and a very comfortable kingsize bed. The kitchenette provided us with all we needed for meals and the host restocked coffee and snacks daily. The stars were brighter than any I've seen since a '12 trip to the Colorado Mountains. And the artwork is really wonderful. We loved Isle of Palms and Dolphins Dance. We will be back!

    Thomas2017-09-17T00:00:00Z
  • Our private room and bath was spacious, clean and comfortable! Loved the private entrance and ease of parking with only a 5 minute walk to the beach. This part of IOP is very quiet and restful with just a few people on the beach at any time. Great place to rest and relax! Our host provided drinks and bottled water in the mini fridge, kcups and Keurig plus muffins for breakfast in addition to the awesome little ice maker and microwave. Such a nice surprise! David checked in with us to see if we needed anything but was very conscious of our privacy. We appreciated that! Comfy bath towels, king size bed, cold ac/ceiling fan and enough internet speed to stream Netflix - what more could you want....

    Beverly2017-08-06T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful stay on Isle of Palms. Location is great with a short walk to the beach, and the cart was perfect for lugging all our gear to the beach. David has put a lot into the space to make it comfortable and welcoming. The huge bathroom is soooooo luxurious! We'll definitely return.

    Sarah2017-09-04T00:00:00Z
  • David is a wonderful host. He was very attentive to all our needs, checking on us daily to ensure that we were well stocked with snacks, drinks, and clean towels. He was more than happy to change out our sandy sheets for us ensuring that we were completely comfortable. The walk to the beach is a breeze (just across the street and through the dunes) and David's chair service will ensure that you never have to carry a heavy load. The property is located in a less populated area of the island so the beach is never crowded. We rented bikes and found lots of fun restaurants on the island that were an easy ride from Dolphin's Dance. In addition to IOP's restaurants, be sure to check out the restaurants at Sullivan's Island, Mt. Pleasant's Shem's Creek, and Charleston.

  • My family and I just spent a week at this beautiful beach house and it was everything (and more) per the descriptions. The actual house was warm and inviting on a quiet street - perfect for families. Very clean and functional as well. The golf cart and wagon made it so very easy to get to/from the beach. Julie's hostess skills were excellent. Very quick to respond to questions and always there for a dinner recommendation or any other info required to make the trip fun and easy for the house guests. I bet there are hundreds of rentals in Wild Dunne's, but for our money, we will re-book this cottage anytime. If there was a way to rate this 6 stars, we would rate it that way!

  • Our most recent trip at the lovely beach cottage was fabulous. We loved the layout of the property and all the conveniences provided by Julie and her husband. We happened to meet her when we just arrived. She was able to give us a short tour of how to reach the beach by golf cart (we loved access to the cart!) Wild Dunes in the IOP has miles of walkways which you are able to ride your bikes, which we did. While we brought our own, Julie had 4 or 5 bikes to use plus all the beach supplies you would need. We were able to eat most of our meals at the cottage which had a great kitchen with all the appliances you would need to cook. We ate at Poe's on Sullivan's Island which she recommended to us - really good. Very modern and comfortable home furnishings. We took great care of the place while there as we new the next tenants would be able to enjoy it as much as us. Would love to come back!

  • This is a perfect space for families. Everything you need for a fun time at the beach!

    Janet2016-11-26T00:00:00Z
  • The house has a great location and layout. We all enjoyed ourselves and had a great "island experience". The folks at the golf course will even pick you up because you are next door,

  • This property was great, and exactly what we needed! It was clean and comfortable. The area of Wild Dunes this property is in is very quiet and peaceful. We wanted to stay near the beach and this delivered. It was a quick walk to the beach, and an even quicker golf cart ride. The rental came furnished with everything you would need to have a nice vacation on IOP. Julie, was very friendly and was there to help with any questions we had. Top notch communication and rental property.

    Michelle2015-05-08T00:00:00Z
  • Our Hurricane Vacation! Arrived to a beautiful villa perfect for our family retreat to the beach. We were greeted warmly by Julie's husband who gave us the tour and showed us how to use the very useful golf cart. (big plus) Great walking and biking trails nearby as well as close beach proximity. Julie kept us up to date on current hurricane tracking and was very understanding when we were forced to evacuate helpfully handling the refund of our time not spent. Great experience overall even though the weather didn't allow a longer stay! I would recommend this place to anyone and hope to be back soon.

    Mitchell2016-10-08T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful time. The cottage was wonderful, and Julie was a fabulous hostess!

    Beth2015-10-11T00:00:00Z
  • My family and I rented two of Julie's properties on Isle of Palms over 3 weeks, and had an amazing time! Not only were the houses beautiful, but Julie was more than accommodating, and checked in too make sure everything was going well.

  • I stayed in Jennifer and Brian's condo for a weekend get away with the girls. Jennifer and Brian were extremely helpful hosts and answered all of my questions quickly and honestly! The condo was extremely clean and had everything we needed. Jennifer sent us a very helpful packing list so we already knew what to expect to be there. All the pictures online were exactly like the condo and everything is in great condition. None of the girls could get over how cute the condo was. I loved my stay there and can't wait to go back to the area and stay there again!

    Laura2017-05-07T00:00:00Z
  • 5 stars across the board for Jennifer and Brian! The place is as beautiful as depicted in the pictures and is in the perfect location for those looking to relax. My friends and I were looking for a senior trip destination and Brian and Jennifer were there for us when basically nobody else would accept us. All in all, our trip was amazing and 37 Lagoon Villas made it perfect. I highly suggest booking!!

    Ethan2017-05-26T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great (EMAIL HIDDEN)fortable and ideal for our group of 5. The rooms were well set up, clean and fresh with plenty of towels. Nice to have a flat screen TV in each bedroom as well as in the living room. We cooked and ate several meals in the condo. The kitchen has all of the pots and pans and utensils needed. The stunning beach is a 5 minute walk from the condo and the pool is just a few steps across the parking lot. We were in the Charleston area for our son's college graduation so we went into Charleston each day. It is a 20-30 minute (scenic) drive into the city. We enjoyed being out of town on this visit. The Wild Dunes Resort is low-key and peaceful. Family oriented and very convenient I would highly recommend staying here.

    Matt2017-05-15T00:00:00Z

  • Ashley's place has been recently updated and is very convenient to the Sullivan beach, downtown Charleston, grocery stores and local shops. A great value. Perfect for 3-4 guests complete with a fully stocked kitchen. We had a couple of small issues with a door getting stuck and a washer and dryer that did not function correctly but nothing that cant and wont be fixed by the host. She was very pleasant to deal with.

    Marvin2017-07-04T00:00:00Z
  • Ashley's place was the perfect base for our Charleston stay. The house is conveniently tucked away in a pretty residential neighborhood in Mt. Pleasant, right near Whole Foods, Starbucks, shops and restaurants, and only a few miles to the beach at Sullivan's Island. Moreover, it is only a few minutes across the bridge to vibrant downtown. The home has been beautifully renovated, boasting a beautiful kitchen, top of the line appliances, excellent AC, two bedrooms, washer/dryer, and awesome mid-century modern decor. AMAZING value for a small home - large open floorplan and outdoor area, so perfect for couples or families traveling. Excellent location, value, and stay - we'll be back! Thanks, Kendall and John

  • My friend and I loved it! It was driving distance to everything we wanted to do but around things walking distance away as well. Super clean too! She was quick to reply to any messages/questions I had. Would stay there again in a heart beat!

    Tiffany2017-07-21T00:00:00Z
  • Overall the stay was great here. The home was very clean and comfortable inside. The location is really great, minutes from Shem Creek and it's many restaurants, as well as grocery stores, coffee shops etc. And not far to downtown and other attractions. The only reason I didn't give the house 5 stars is the exterior of the home, patios, outdoor seating could use a little TLC.

    Matt2017-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • Very clean, well decorated with many new touches. Outside is a work in progress, but once inside, you will see that Ashley takes pride in her property. A very short drive to Charleston with a very reasonable price. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

    Linda2017-07-11T00:00:00Z
  • Everything was great! It was a perfect little house for our girls weekend. It was very nicely remodeled and was just the space we needed. The only issues we had were there was a new stain on the sheets and the neighbors were loud up until 4am (which obviously can’t be controlled by Ashley). But other than that it was great. The only suggestion we had was to maybe get another lock for the door because the only way it stays shut is if it is locked, it won’t shut on it’s own and it could use some landscaping and cleaning up outside. It was perfect for what we needed though and in a great location! We would stay there again!

    Jamie2017-09-24T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect stay for couples or family that are looking for vacation in the Charleston area. This location was great for traveling short distances to any desired attraction. Beautiful house, very roomy and cute!

  • Very beautiful and tastefully done. You will fall in love with this space. The beds are comfy, clean and perfect location to shem restaurants. Easy to find and safe location!! Will be coming back !

  • Wonderful experience. Our hostess provided goodies, sundry items, biycles, even purchased boogie boards. She had local paper at our disposal, and restaurant menus available. The roon had an enclosed porch with a swing seat and the room temp (this is in Isle of Palms, SC) was perfect. She couldn't have been nicer and highly recommend anyone to stay there while visiting the beautiful Isle of Palms.

Charming yet simple room with its own bathroom in wonderful Isle of Palms South Carolina. The room has two single beds that can be pushed together. Three blocks from the beach, 25 minutes from downtown Charleston, 10 minutes from Mount Pleasant. To be clear this is a room within my home, not a private house or side house.
Close proximity to the beach, ample parking, the smell of the sea. NO PETS.
Quiet area just minutes from the beach.
  • This place is in a great neighborhood steps from the beach. The room is cozy and comfortable. Jack provided coffee, bottled water and even breakfast bars. No need to drive for breakfast. Just head to the beach. Jack was very friendly and welcoming. I look forward to a return visit.

    Marcia M2016-06-19T00:00:00Z
  • Great location and the last minute booking was appreciated. But the place needs serious work. In every other Airbnb I've stayed, the host made efforts to make it feel like an actual B&B. This felt more a last ditch effort by a college kid to recoup some rent money after his roommate bailed. If all you really need is a bed to crash in and waking distance to the beach is a strong selling point, definitely go for it. Otherwise I'd say not.

    Justin2016-09-05T00:00:00Z

Beach chairs, bikes, beach towels were all made available to us. The location for us was perfect! Walking distance to many restaurants nearby as well as restaurants by Shem Creek. You can also take advantage of many outdoor activities at Shem Creek like paddle boarding, fishing, walking and kayaking. Sullivan Island and Isle of Palms were very close as was downtown Charleston. This is definitely a place to visit!

  • Lori's place was fabulous. Not only was it very clean and charming, it also had amenities here and there that made they stay that much more comfortable. We were greeted with a bottle of wine and Lori gave us a quick tour of the unit. Lori was always available for questions or suggestions. The location in Mt. Pleasant is great. It is within walking distance to an excellent coffee shop called Vintage Cafe as well as a very popular bunch spot called Page's Okra Grill. If you are relying on a car ride service to get downtown, prices range from $12-20 depending on the surges, etc. If you have a car of your own, there is parking right in front of the unit. It couldn't have been a better stay. We would love to come back again for a visit here! Thanks Lori!

    Lauren2017-05-07T00:00:00Z

  • Had a very nice stay at Lori's place in Charleston. The place was super cute and clean with a nice beachy vibe. We really enjoyed using the bikes that Lori had to ride around the community. The location is superb in terms of being close to the action but also being near the ocean and some leisurely activities. Mt. Pleasant is just that, a very pleasant place to stay in Charleston. The only small complaint I have about our stay is that the walls seemed a bit thin, and we did encounter some small "palmetto bugs" in the house. Lori was very understanding and said she was getting the exterminator to come out right away. Overall, a great choice and glad we chose to stay at Lori's.

Not only did it look like something from a magazine, but it was so functional with a fully stocked kitchen and numerous beach items that made going easier and more fun :) We loved having the option of the beach and/or the pool each day, both within a short walk from the condo. The neighborhood itself was great for our family with sidewalks throughout that had beautiful views and tucked away from the regular traffic. Donna herself was very responsive and friendly and made our stay easy. We will definitely be back to stay next time we're down this way!

    Catherine2017-04-10T00:00:00Z
  • Very clean, nicely decorated condo with everything you may need. We enjoyed having beech towels, chairs and an umbrella available. Would definitely recommend this place: perfect for a beech family vacation.

  • Attention to detail perfection!

  • We enjoyed our long weekend stay at the Ocean Breeze Villa! Donna was very attentive, communicating within moments of our booking request. She followed up to make sure we had all details before we arrived for the weekend. The villa was the perfect size for my husband and myself, but would accommodate more people if needed. Villa was particularly clean and fully equipped to suit all of our needs. The beach charm greeted us once we stepped into the villa. I notice the attention to detail and loved all the Pottery Barn type decor. We hope to return for a warmer visit when we can take full advantage of the beach. Thank you Donna!

  • Perfection!!! This was our first stay on isle of palm and at wild dunes. It was fantastic. Donna has a beautiful place. Everything you could want or need is within reach. The pictures of location do not do justice to he actual proximity and beauty of location. I hope to stay again sometime soon. Thank you Donna.

  • Beautiful condo, great views! Very clean, family friendly, and well stocked with little extras.

    Leah2017-04-13T00:00:00Z
  • The condo is spotless - you will have everything you need for a beach vacation and some things you didn't realize you would want. They have thought of everything. Beach is amazing - quiet. Even over the 4th of July, it was crowded but we still felt like we had a section of the beach to ourselves. I would recommend this unit to everyone - It was myself, my husband and our 2 teenage/early 20s daughters. They had the livingroom to themselves and could shut the door, watch movies, etc. without disturbing our sleep. Everything from booking to checkout was amazing and went as smooth as possible. Would most definitely recommend this unit to everyone looking for a wonderful family beach trip. Thanks so much for having us.

  • Great location, very relaxed vibe. Just wanted a room near the beach and this fit the bill nicely. Note that Isle of Palms County Park is an easy walk. The park has lifeguards on the beach, and chairs and umbrellas are available to rent.

  • Kristin is a great host. The location is in a quiet residential location, yet close in walking distance to the local grocery store and town. The location is also close to the beach which is a big draw. Overall I liked the location.

  • This was the perfect place for my visit. It was one block from the beach and a 15 minute stroll down the beach to the Windjammer for a concert! Clean, comfortable and quiet.

  • A perfect location for a long weekend getaway. Andy was easy to communicate with and very responsive through messaging. We never actually met him in person, but his roommates were very helpful in answering all of our questions and making us feel welcome in the home. The best thing about this stay was that I was able to bring my dog, Chief. We enjoyed the area, the beach and the stay.

    Island Glamping!

Unwind & enjoy the sweet life in this low-key, quiet beach home just around the corner to the best beach on the East coast & local shops. Or play tourist & gourmet in Charleston, one of the world's favorite destinations, a short drive away.
This is an older (1955), modestly furnished and simply equipped three bedroom, two bath home, w/ kitchen, dining room, washer and dryer. A quick 2 block walk to the beach and nearby stores and restaurants, it's nestled under oaks on a quiet, residential street and a safe, comfortable place for a family with children or a group of friends to vacation together. It also has a deck off the kitchen with an outside shower and a grill if you want to cook out or just sit outside with your cup of coffee in the morning or enjoy the quiet in the evening.
Quiet, residential street--not a place for loud partying.
  • The location was awesome! A block from the beach (where we spent a lot of time in the August heat!). Grocery store and restaurants close by. The house was great. All the beach gear you could want. The hosts were great. We didn't need anything during our stay but they did check in to be sure. We will definitely stay again!

  • Conveniently located right around the corner from the beach, this worked out great for a girls weekend away! Laura and Michael were so responsive in answering questions leading up to our arrival, and then again during our stay. We had 8 total ladies which although tight, really worked out great. The large dining table was perfect! Would definitely recommend this to other travelers.

  • We loved this house! It was perfect for our long weekend getaway. It was within walking distance to the beach and the bikes were perfect for getting around. Laura and Michael were very easy to communicate with and helped us with everything we needed. Thank you!

  • Laura and Michael were such sweet hosts. My husband and I stayed here after our wedding and they were kind enough to leave us treats and champane to celebrate with! This house is in a great location and the bed we stayed in was very comfortable! Thanks for a great stay!

    Robin + Ian2015-05-06T00:00:00Z
  • Laura and Michael are amazing hosts. They are thoughtful and kind. We asked about a highchair and a pack and play which they brought to us shortly after we arrived. They made our stay much easier. They even got a highchair we could take with us to go out. The house was comfortable and perfect for our little family. We loved walking to the beach which was incredibly beautiful. Our kids loved the park that was close by and playing in the yard. We enjoyed using the bbq and would definitely rent from them again. The best part of renting from them was the ease of communicating with Laura. She was always quick to respond and kind. Another reviewer mentioned bugs and I was a little worried about that but we didn't have any problems. Can't wait to come back to Isle of Palms.

  • My boyfriend came in for a wedding and We loved our stay here!! Perfect access to the beach and not overly crowded like the other side of the island. The bed was very comfortable, the kitchen had all the cooking necessities and the screen porch was my favourite! Surrounded by bamboo and other foliage, the chirping birds and the perfectly shaded breeze made it the most relaxing place to end my day! Thank you Captain Rachel!!!

    Naomi2014-06-03T00:00:00Z
  • We were not welcomed at all either in person or by written note,in fact we had a difficult time trying to locate non-existent thermostat or telephone,The unit was not very hygenic with debris ( old food) in the dishwasher and stove plus there were utensils covered in debris plus there was a terrible odor.

    Michael2014-12-24T00:00:00Z
  • Loved the charms of Captain's Hideaway, particularly the wonderfully private screened-in back porch where we were visited by exotic birds daily.

    Sue2014-04-22T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time in spite of the Captain's Hideaway. The place was dank and not clean. We had to wash the sheets that were supposedly fresh on the bed. The house is rotting and there are uneven, treacherous steps within. The back porch was damp and inhospitable--the back yard a junk heap. We cooked our meals there and would have appreciated a few simple amenities like a salad bowl, a cork screw, wine glasses, a decent knife. The string had broken off for the central fixture in the living/dining room so we had no overhead light. We were bitten by bugs in the house. The bed was comfy and the pull out couch sufficient, though waking up bitten wasn't pleasant. What we loved was that we could walk to a beautiful public access beach and that we found a marina nearby where we could enjoy a glass of wine. The Hideaway is on a sleepy cul-de-sac. Nice except for the steady stream of cars and trucks that used the road. To turn around? Scout out the place? That was weird. We are not fastidious people so we were okay there. Some of our friends would not have been able to stay. We enjoyed the outdoor shower, even though it's right on the road. Funky for sure.
