Just booked in Imbil

Architectural bright & airy Studio Retreat, beside a creek with wide billabongs - steep cow paddocks opposite - Rainforest surrounds. Amazing location in a valley 5 km north-west of Cooroy. Quiet Private nestled into nature near Noosa Eumundi The house is now equipped with a fire place to make winter extra cozy!
My place is just so peaceful and relaxing, that as soon as you enter, you will feel it. It is a refuge from the sounds of the city with only the sound of cows mooing and birds in song. The open plan living gives you a great area to just feel so free and chill out completely. The out look of the rambling hillsides and rural setting compliment the house. Not to mention the babbling brook that contains platypus, fish and turtles. You will have full access of the house. Satelitte television and dvd player here and a great selection of movies too. Ceiling fans are the best on hot days, but the fresh air always flows so well in the valley. Gas heating for winter. A washing machine for washing available too. Outside there is a Webber gas bbq. Inside a gas stove, electric oven and microwave oven. You will enjoy cooking in the kitchen with the country outlook. I am available to answer any questions about the house. I can tell you about some great cafes and restaurants and surrounding attractions. The house is situated in a very quiet valley, down a country dirt road. Totally tree covered. You cannot see any neighbours houses. So there is total privacy. You will be totally captured in the romantic setting as you sip your glass of wine in the afternoon, watching the magpie geese fly by. Or go for an afternoon or evening walk. You'll fall inlove with the place. You really need a car. As it is 5 kilometre out of town. About 20 minutes to the beach at Noosa. 10 minutes to the Eumundi market. The house is on tank water and it is lovely to drink, as it is all filtered. The concrete drive is steep and can be a challenge to some, but it is easy after a couple of goes. Your car will be under cover and protected.
  • Too many spiders and mosquitoes. Yellow shower water. There is little gas. Can't cook. The scenery is very beautiful. The house is very beautiful. Specially buggy call at night.

  • We found Louise's cabin in the woods to be a totally magical place, and so relaxing. Louise was helpful with instructions to get us there up the country roads, and able to be contacted if needed. Otherwise you are left to yourselves. All you hear when you are there the cows moo across the billabong and the occasional whipbird and kookaburra. The stars at night are something to behold, as is the view from the front porch over the billabong with waterlillies everywhere. The 'cabin' is open plan and very comfortable and was very clean and we made ourselves at home. The bed was ultra-comfy and much appreciated. All in all, for our first airbnb experience it was a plus 10 and we really enjoyed our quiet stay, with a run into Cooroy for lunch at the amazing Maison de Provence French restaurant and to pick up some wonderful Cooroy beef for tea. I would highly recommend the cabin and thank you Louise for sharing your wonderful world.

  • Oh my goodness! The beautiful place was the perfect little piece of heaven I needed to put myself back together after spending too long in the city. So lovely to be surprised by it being even better than the pictures. And such lovely support in all my communications with Lou and her son who greeted me. I'm so eager to return.

  • My fiancé and I stayed at this beautiful place for our birthday weekend with our two boxer dogs. We loved it and dogs had a great time as well. It was peaceful and looked exactly like the pictures. We had regular visits from the dog next door - Daisy and our dogs loved her. We will definitely be visiting again and would highly recommend this place. Louise was also a great host and answered questions we had promptly.

  • We have had a really good time staying at the farm, the house is really well equipped, has everything you need to cook, to enjoy yourself doing active stuff (kayaking etc), and to relax and unwind. Would definitely want to come back one day.

  • We had a fantastic weekend stay at Imbil Bridge Farm. It is a gorgeous country cottage and very comfortable and clean. It is well-equipped with everything you could need for a comfortable stay. The location is gorgeous, right on Imbil Creek - our kids particularly enjoyed being able to use the canoe, and collecting fresh eggs from the friendly chooks. The little village of Imbil is very picturesque, and the local pub served up a delicious steak dinner. Thanks to Sue for a wonderful, relaxing stay.

    Katrina2016-05-03T00:00:00Z
  • Enjoy the space and serenity and bring your togs. The walk into town is easy and less than 1K.

  • Sue and Jim were wonderful hosts and although we never had the pleasure of meeting them, they were always happy to help and answer any questions. Imbil bridge farm had absolutely everything that we possibly needed and everyone really enjoyed their stay. It was a different experience being away from the heart of Brisbane and getting back to nature. Thank you so much for having us!

    Ember2015-11-29T00:00:00Z
  • Driving up the driveway to Imbil Bridge Farm and we could feel the peacefulness. My wife's father in law thought he was in heaven the moment he walked into your lovely cottage. He just could not believe heaven would be any better. The views from every room are spectacular and to receive the morning sun into the kitchen was an absolute warming delight. The cottage and surrounds are simply breath taking. Sitting overlooking the Yabba creek provides such a serene outlook. The cottage itself was very well equipped for every necessity. Plenty of plates/crockery/wine glasses etc. The a/c and combustion stove provide total warmth for winter in the cottage. We had great fun in the canoe and loved collecting the eggs and turning them into a fresh scrambled egg breakfast each morning. The fact that horses and cattle roam the property just made it feel all that more peaceful and interesting. This is truly a beautiful property. Since returning home we have told many people about our lovely experience at Imbil Creek Farm. There is no doubt we will be returning soon. Jan and Gary.

  • The house is a lovely old cottage with ample space for couples like us with there dog or families with kids. It was very hot when we stayed here so the swimming pool was great during the day. The evenings were cool enough to sit outside by the camp fire which we also thoroughly enjoyed. Loved the big verandahs that protected us from the afternoon storms that hit ( the front one did anyway). With the hail that fell, it was reassuring that I could park my car under cover also.

    Helen2016-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • Thank you Damian for a great stay at Mary Valley Cottage. Our family of 5 including 3 boys under 7 loved the house and the location. Great views from the back deck and loads for the boys to do around the property. They enjoyed meeting the horse and lamas and seeing the cattle in the paddocks. The fire pit was a hit as well. A great family holiday in the country.

  • Very friendly and welcoming host. We went as a family with our two boys aged 5 and 8. Quiet and beautiful location, the guest house was exactly what we were hoping for - very clean and contained everything we needed, lovely outlook onto horse paddocks and valley. We also loved meeting Riley the dog, Henry the pig, and the waterfall tip was great! Highly recommended.

  • Beautiful neighbourhood, very relaxing and peaceful.

  • The quality and intelligent consideration to personal and family comfort made for a really relaxing stay. It was lovely; the views, the kindness of our hosts and the genuine motivation inspiration to wake up in the morning, walk to the top of the hill with my daughter and make friends with the horses. My daughter and hubbie literally enjoyed hours of Horseopoly (totally horsum! ;)) which allowed me time to lie back and bury myself in some decent British crime reading. What a treat! :) Thanks so much to Ian and Liz for a great few nights. Brilliant. We'll be back for more soon!

  • The cottage was well setup and comfortable. The location is great and the views from the cottage are really nice. It is a great spot to relax and unwind and we would love to stay there again. Just a FYI for the 6ft+ people - the ceiling is a bit low and one needs to be mindful of the ceiling fans which you can easily hit with your hands if you raise them about halfway above your head.

    Sahil2015-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • A neat and tidy little cabin/cottage in a very peaceful spot. Horses at your back door. National park walk down the road. Beautiful breezes & lovely sunsets. A goat, 2 dogs & a pig (as cute as he is, be prepared to get dirty, it's red soil on the property and his nose is covered in it). who visit numerous times a day. We would recommend this place. Thanks for sharing your space with us.

    Lisa2016-12-28T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage was clean and comfortable and the surrounds were absolutely gorgeous! Though we did not get a chance to meet Duncan he was very helpful with requests, and his family welcomed us when we arrived. The highlight was their beautiful and friendly dog Riley (who I almost took home with me!). We were only around for a brief stay and would have liked to spend more time exploring the area, as there seemed a lot to do. Would definitely recommend this place.

Find yourself immersed in nature this week. This unique glamping site, is a cosy open plan cabin surrounded by bush. It lets you "camp" without any hassles. Perfect for friends, travellers and families looking for an Off the grid, low tech holiday . Cabin contains all the basics for a comfy glamping experience.
The space is warm, homely and extremely comfortable. There is a fireplace and hot water to keep you warm on chilly nights. During the day, take a walk through the native garden. There is a dam on the property - children must be supervised at all times.
The neighborhood is extremely unique. You are sharing your space with birds, wallabies and other native wildlife. Walk down to Happy Jack Creek to have a picnic or just some fresh air. There is another dwelling on the property - please be courteous and respect each other's space ;)
  • The perfect place to have a technology detox! Located in the bush but not far from Noosa. Certainly, a little adventure if you love glamping.

  • This place is a rare gem. I spent barely a weekend there and came back feeling refreshed and replenished like I'd spent a week immersed in nature. It's green and lush all around, with whipbirds right outside your door. The cabin itself is a rustic, humble, back to basics situation, but with such warmth, character and charm that one feels immediately at home. I was impressed by how effectively the potbelly fireplace was able to keep such a spacious open plan space warm and cosy all night long. My cohort and I spent the day at Noosa and then only a half an hour drive to the cabin, through beautiful rolling hills, and we felt like we were a million miles away from civilization in our own little world. I would highly recommend this spot. So good for the price. So good for your soul.

    Jule2017-07-16T00:00:00Z
  • Liesl's space is just perfect for a week to unwind and escape the chore of everyday life. The homely set up has everything you need for a weekend in the bush. Turn off your phone and enjoy being woken up to the sound of Kookaburras and whip birds. Sit by the fire and enjoy each others company without having to worry about anyone or anything bothering your peace and quiet. I will be back for sure when my soul needs a little fresh air and isolation. Thanks Liesl.

    Isaac2017-07-23T00:00:00Z
  • We were looking to unwind and Liesl's place was exactly what we were hoping for. I don't think she gives it the full justice, yes it is simple but it is such a beautiful space. Big open plan and an amazing setting. I think everything is really well set up.

    Ben2017-10-15T00:00:00Z
  • Happy Jacks totally delivered! It was secluded and cosy, we were kept warm by the fire every night, and were woken by beautiful bird song every morning. Liesl was a lovely host, meeting us after dark to show us around and leaving freshly laid eggs and amazing home made pesto. Happy Jacks is something really special. We will be back.

    Michelle2017-07-30T00:00:00Z
  • A fantastic and comfortable cabin nestled in the bushland with everything you need. Complete privacy and totally immersed in nature. This place is perfect and I would definitely recommend staying here. I can't wait to return. Thanks, Liesl :)

  • True glamping. Such a nice studio set up 15 minutes from cooroy in the sunshincoast hinterland. Drive way is a little rough but my polo handled it.

We are situated in the middle of the beautiful Mary Valley, surrounded by kilometers of state forest and National park, ideal for bush walking or riding. There are endless streams and rivers, perfect for those that love kayaking or fishing or simply swimming on hot summer days.
Situated close to the Gympie Muster site and Mitchell creek Rock and Blues Fest, this would be the ideal location for those that don't want to camp. The surrounding area is made up of produce, cattle and dairy farms a well as small acreage lifestyle blocks and forestry. it is very quiet nd freindly
  • We stayed at this property for 3 nights over the spring season and it was a great way to escape the city. The property was very tranquil and the owners, Taryn and Dylan were very hospitable and Grandpa Ian was great for a chat. The dam was located a very short walk from the house and the kids spent the entire long weekend kayaking and swimming in the dam. ''Mini" their dog, was very friendly and loved playing fetch with the kids. Coming from a family of chefs, the house has an amazing kitchen which was put to very good use. Taryn was really lovely and baked some delicious brownies for Karen's birthday as a welcome gift, and we hope we returned the favour with some simple home baked shortbread cookies which the kids made, using their beautiful oven. The property was fully fenced (very dog friendly) which gave us peace of mind with children and our dogs during our holiday. Taryn is obviously very artistic, with many pieces of her artwork and accents around the house. Dylan was very welcoming when we arrived, and his hard work around the beautiful property is very evident. We would love to visit the property again soon and hope that they would have us back. Karen and Eric

  • We had the most wonderful three days at Upper Kandanga. The house is beautiful, so thoughtfully designed and decorated. Tayrn and Dylan made us so welcome. The fireplace is warm, the animals are friendly, the beds are super comfortable and the kitchen is amazing. Plenty of room for our son and dog to run around. I think our dog is currently a little sad back in the city as he loved being a farm dog for a few days. We were looking for a quiet country retreat and this was just perfect. We will definitely be back. We explored Yabba Creek and Borumba Dam, Imbil, Kandanga, went to the markets at Dagun on Saturday afternoon where we met some passionate and friendly local farmers. Drove home through Kenilworth. Highly Recommended! Thanks Taryn and Dylan and family.

    Katherine2016-07-04T00:00:00Z
  • We had an absolutely superb stay in this beautiful place, the home and surrounds were just perfect, not another house insite and the birds and animals all just added to the serenity. Taryn and Dylan went out of the their way to provide us with all the information we could possibly need before we arrived. Our tribe of 4 teenage boys absolutely loved it too, I would recommend this part of the world to anyone needed to recharge their batteries, enjoy lovely coffee and soak up the peace of the countryside.

    jane2016-09-28T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful and cozy house with a great fenced garden and a huge veranda. Taryn and Dylan are kind, welcoming and super helpful hosts. We will be back for sure

    Jasmine2017-04-13T00:00:00Z
  • What wondeful hosts Taryn & Dylan were! We had the most relaxing holiday. So lovely to escape the city and really clear the head in such a beautifully secluded spot. The house was beautiful & had everything we needed, The coffee machine fantstic so really no need to leave the house! Flowers in vases, brownies, great DVD's, gorgeous garden....all so delightful. Our sullen teenage boys even managed to enjoy themselves with walking, the dam, kayaks & firepit. We hope we can return for some more heavenly down time in the near future.

    Heather2017-09-21T00:00:00Z
  • Taryn and Dylan's home is a magical place to spend some time away from the city. The house is exactly as described with a great kitchen and lovingly decorated bedrooms with comfy handcrafted beds. The beautiful garden and the company of the chooks is what city fairies dream of. The treehouse, the sandpit and the trampoline also get the thumbs up from big and small kids! I would definitely recommend this house to my friends with and without children for a getaway.

    Jasmine2016-10-09T00:00:00Z
  • Tarry and Dylan have a wonderful, secluded house in an idyllic setting. It was a perfect base for our holiday and we enjoyed the land around the house including the dam. Fire pit was great for toasting marshmallows every night. We really felt as if we were at one with nature. Beds were very comfortable and the kitchen was large and well-stocked. We did not want for anything, as it was all provided for us. Thanks to Ian also for helping us plan our day. See you again I hope :)

    Julie2017-04-06T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely stay in an Incredibly beautiful and welcoming location. The place was amazing and the personal touches made us feel very welcome! My family and i felt very comfortable from the start. My children had such a great time with so much beautiful spaces for them to discover and interact in it was magical! My sisters coming from France were able to have a lovely and Authentic Australian experience which they have really enjoyed! I myself absolutely loved staying at Taryn and Dylan's country house! It was the experience i had hoped for with many more surprises to find and enjoy! I hope to be able to stay another time in the future!

  • What a fantastic weekend. We received a very warm welcome from Kathy and Jon (plus hugs and kisses from Pepper) and a full guided tour of the cabin and property. The location was very easy to find, and the peace and tranquility was exactly what we were looking for. Nothing but the sounds of nature, and a beautiful night sky full of stars. Oh and let's not forget the heated spa ! Will definitely be coming back and referring these lovely people and their beautiful home to our friends. Looking forward to seeing you all again soon ;-)

  • Jon and Kathy maintained just the right balance of being so warmly hospitable and giving us our complete privacy. We felt very cozy and comfy staying at Jon and Kathys cabin which is situated next to their family home. A spa was on our search criteria and the outdoor spa at Carter's Ridge didn't disappoint, stunning both night and day. We will be back :)

Have a break from the busy city life and stay in our bungalow on our private 40 acres with beautiful gardens and wildlife. We are just 2 km from the Bruce Hwy and would love to welcome you at our little bit of paradise. Easy access to the beaches, hinterland or just relax and unwind.
The bungalow is one of two homes on the 40 acre property the other being occupied by the hosts, they are totally private from one another. We are only 2 hours north of Brisbane and only 20 minutes south of Gympie, within easy driving distance of the Sunshine Coast, Rainbow Beach, Fraser Island, Noosa & much more.
The neighbourhood is acreage and rural.
  • This is a very private place, spacious, clean and easygoing. The house is away from the hosts' house so it's pretty much like having your own home. We stayed almost two weeks. I'm a big internet user and went over Alan and Heather's monthly data allowance very quickly, but they were so helpful and we sorted it out very easily - but something to check out in advance if you use the internet heavily. Alan and Heather are very friendly, willing to help out if you need anything and also very respectful of your privacy. Highly recommended if you need to be in this area.

A huge, airy, eccentric pole house awaits you nestled in a mini rain forest with a spectacular, uninterrupted view of Mt Cooroora. Snooze in a hammock in the Gazebo by the pool or read a book in the hammock outside the reading nook on the second terrace. Or get out and about explore Pomona, Cooroy, Noosa, Eumundi and their many wonderful markets. Take the ferry to North Shore beaches. Paddleboard, surf, sunbake, climb the view, it's up to you.
I hope you get as blown away by the view as I did when I first saw it! Sitting on the deck with a coffee working out where you want to go for the day, watching the morning mist roll off Mt Cooroora makes it hard to follow through with your plans to get in the car. Sunset with a glass of wine and cheese platter is equally enticing. The super soft beds in large bedrooms make it difficult to get up in the morning. Lounge in the bath looking out into the garden. Curl up on a couch or hammock with a book from the mini library. Unwind and let the spirit of tranquility wash over you. Maybe launch the dinghy on the dam or feed the horses a carrot over the fence. A storm here is awesome! Lightning spears down from the sky striking Mt Cooroora, the sound of the thunder; the rain and hail on the roof is magical. This place really does have a special energy, I hope you can tap into it and be at one with the tranquility. I guarantee you will leave refreshed.
Pomona is a lovely little Hinterland town. It has 14 different places to buy coffee. Deb's 'SpillDeBeans' is a locals favourite. There is a great choice of eateries for a small town. Serge's Pizza and Pasta is fabulous, often with live music. The Majestic Theatre, the oldest 'silent movie theatre in the world, serves a wonderful meal at 'Valentino's', check out their website for what's on, they have some talented musicians play there (and they let you take your wine into the theatre!) There are also Indian, Chinese and Thai restaurants. There is a wonderful off leash dog park which has an exercise track and gym machinery. This park is very popular with children. There are three wonderful Op Shops run by the Red Cross, Lifeline and Salvos, they have some amazing stuff, support a good cause, you might find a treasure (recently a local bought an old suitcase and found $25,000 in the lining! He gave it back to the charity..not sure I wouldn't have been tempted to keep a bit for me!). There is a selection of quirky second hand/Antique shops, 'Rockin' Relics. Take the challenge, climb the mountain! The view from the top is breath taking. Although your breath will already be taken by the climb, not for the unfit! Lie by the pool with a book or explore the Hinterland. There is always the beach!
  • Sue was great with communication and providing specific directions. We really appreciated having basic breakfast foods and sauces provided. The kitchen was well equipped with all needed utensils and the linen and towels were clean and well stocked. We had four people and everyone had their own room, which was great. As the water was tank water, we had to boil it, which was a bit inconvenient. We would recommend lodgers to bring a water dispenser. Also, we came at a hot time, and one of the nights there was no breeze, so even though there are ceiling fans, it would have been nice to have pedestal fans (especially in the biggest bedroom where the ceiling fan isn't directly over the bed). Overall though, we had a great time here. The large deck, spectacular view and fairly large swimming pool were amazing. The board games and DVD collection were fun, too! We would definitely recommend Sue's place to others!

    Stephen2016-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • Sue is extremely nice and hospitable. The house feels like home away from home, clean and fully equipped with everything you could need with great views of Mt Cooroora. You'll definitely be back.

  • Our stay with Sue was wonderful. The house, pools and views are completely stunning. We'll be back again very soon we hope!

  • Tranquillity Park, excatly what is sounds like but better. We spent 2 nights here and definitely plan to return. Sue is great provides space if u choose and great chats also. The views are spectacular and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. We had such a peaceful time relaxing by the pool in the Hammock and enjoying that view. Highly recommended stay.

    Drew2017-05-21T00:00:00Z
  • So nice to be far away from the bustle of Noosa, but close enough to enjoy the beaches (by car) when we wanted to. The view, the house, the pool and the welcome were all excellent.

    Michelle 2017-07-10T00:00:00Z
  • Sue made our extended weekend 50th birthday getaway fabulously memorable. Loved her property - sunsets with a few bevys on the deck with the view over Black Mountain was sensational. Jack her dog was friendly and loves a pat and company and was great security for the property, especially at night. Many places to chill inside and outside the house, in hammocks, chairs or loungers on the deck or beside the pool. Highly recommend you stay at Tranquility Park whether you are looking for a private retreat or a getaway with family or friends. Plenty of rooms to sleep people. Cheers Anita

  • Sue text several times during the day and was welcoming on arrival, gave directions and local recommendations, even the fire was set for us. Having 4 separate bedrooms suited our group. • Katie’s place is in a great location for exploring both the Noosa coastline and hinterlands, and lots of great hiking spots within 15 or 20 minutes drive. The accommodation is well priced, spacious, super clean and the bed really comfortable. Katie is welcoming and also great at responding to queries before arriving. With the peace and quiet, Hinterland views and the occasional visit from a couple of friendly puppies it all adds up to a perfect place to stay.

  • Stunning location and views. Spacious, comfortable, self-contained accomodation separate to the host's amazing main house. Pool with a view you honestly have to see to believe. Excellent initial directions, communication and flexibility from the host (Katie). Even a friendly visit from their gentle dog. The bed was large and very comfortable. The bathroom was spotless. Huge living area with a massive TV and air conditioning. The surrounding area (Cooroy, Yandina etc) is naturally beautiful with a really nice chilled vibe. We had an incredible late lunch at the famous Spirit House at Yandina. A bit of a trip to get there (25 minutes by car) but if you enjoy fine-dining in a truly unique setting then it’s so worth it. All this for outstanding value. Had a chat with the hosts as we were leaving and they seem like lovely people. If you’re after something a little different from the usual crowded holiday hotspots, I can’t recommend this place enough. Many thanks to Katie and family :)

  • We had a lovely stay in Katie's guesthouse. The views are stunning, the air is crisp, the guesthouse is comfortable and relaxing and the bed was toasty warm. Katie was very flexible with our check in time, and kindly accommodating with me forgetting a personal item after we had checked out; her sense of humour was greatly appreciated ;). If you want a relaxing escape on the Sunshine Coast with easy access to the beaches and the hinterland (breakfast in Kenilworth was a delight), then this is it :) Thanks Katie!

The 1 ½ storey, fully tiled, three bedroom Cooroora cottage (cottage #3 of 4) was designed for elderly, disabled or wheelchair guests, but available to all guests, and best suited for our guests with pets. Each of three bedrooms contains one queen bed, with a single sofa bed in the lounge, so comfortably sleeps a maximum seven guests. The rear courtyard with its outdoor second shower, and covered patio with its second dining table, add to the group stay benefits.
The modern, luxury, custom-built, architect-designed cottages (four total) are designed to be your home away from home. Complete kitchens with private laundry, private patio and verandahs with gas barbecue and both indoor and outdoor dining tables exceed the mere offerings of B&B or motel rooms, yet at comparably less cost. See our other Cooroy house listings regarding our other three cottages which are often booked together for an exclusive private function, such as family reunions, birthday celebrations, weddings, etc. The Cooroora cottage bathroom is an open fully-tiled “wet room” providing direct shower access for disabled or wheelchair guests, in addition to its disability design toilet, vanity, sink and handles. An outdoor shower is also available in the private rear walled courtyard. The Cooroora cottage’s patio is sheltered, which is another of its unique features and makes it most suitable for outdoor celebrations despite weather conditions. The Cooroora cottage’s front verandah and covered patio area is complemented by the gated private rear walled courtyard, which also serves as a temporary kennel for accompanying pets while guests are away from the cottage. The solar-heated guest swimming pool is situated near the managers residence. We request five minutes notice to remove the pool cover as we are on rainwater supply. Extensive private gardens and open parkland areas for walks or play surround the Cooroora cottage and assure privacy in addition to each cottage being situated approximately 50 metres apart. • Beautiful country cottage stay with mountain and forest views. Jim was accommodating of our late checkin and checked in to see if we were ok. The rooms are excellent, clean with lovely art work and elegant beds and furnishings. Overall lovely family holiday. Thank you! :)

  • The perfect location for a quite get away. The host Jim, is very friendly and respectful. He came out to greet us and made sure we were comfortable. The views are spectacular! Highly recommended.

  • I was looking last minute for a place to get away for the weekend, and Cooroy Country Cottages did not disappoint! Such beautiful surroudings, peace and quiet, enough contact to make us feel at home but not so much that we didn't really feel our private escape was just that. Thanks so much Jim!

    Renae2016-07-22T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful cottage that can very comfortably fit 7 adults. We all had a great time exploring the walking tracks, bumping into the horses, cows and Jim’s lovely dog! Beautiful weekend getaway in a very quiet area, but still close enough to the town to get coffees and any other bits and pieces we needed. Jim was a great host and made sure we were comfortable, and there if we needed anything at all.

    Amishree2017-06-25T00:00:00Z
  • Jim is a great host. The cottages are clean and comfortable with great views of the landscape. The acreage property has lovely walks to see horses and cattle and is perfect for those with dogs.

  • Felt so welcomed and at home, the cottage was adorable with everything that we needed. The views and location were absolutely beautiful, with visitors from cows and horses a few steps from our front door and being able to walk through the land on the trail. So peaceful and relaxing.

This is a modern contemporary home in the Noosa Hinterland with great views on a 2ha property, half of it is rainforest and has an in-ground pool and is just across the road from the Tuchekoi National Park which is great for walks and adjoins the No. 5 Noosa tourist trail. The property is quite secluded and private, being surrounded by trees on all sides, has a great view of Mt. Cooran and has lots of open garden space. Clothing optional is possible by arrangement.
The home is divided into two separate areas with a private apartment downstairs which consists of large bedroom with queen bed, own lounge, and bathroom. Your space consists of a large bedroom with large Queen sized bed, own lounge (with double sofa bed), kitchenette (no cooking), dining table and all crockery, cutlery, microwave etc, smart TV with Netflix connected, tea and coffee making facilities as well as own bathroom. It has sliding glass doors to both the bedroom and lounge rooms which open out onto the front lawn and the pool and gives easy access to your vehicle in the adjoining carport. There is plenty of space to relax and take in the sun around the pool, or in the garden. Upstairs there is a deck around three sides of the main lounge room which offers great views of Mt Cooran (wonderful to watch as it changes colours at sunset) and guests are welcome to use this area for drinks and relaxation. Breakfast is in the main dining room upstairs, with continental breakfast and tea and coffee making facilities. There are heaps of birds and wildlife to enjoy including King Parrots, Pale Headed Rosellas, Kookaburras (which may be hand fed), Yellow tailed Black Cockatoos, Bush Turkeys, Echidna's as well as Wallabies and Kangaroos which come to say good morning or good evening. The neighbours are pretty much out of sight, which makes this a very private and tranquil space to unwind in.
This is a unique setting in that it is so private, spacious and tranquil, that you would think you were hundreds of kilometres out in the bush. But instead, you are just 35 minutes from the Noosa beaches, restaurants and shops but also close to the tourist trail including Pomona, Cooroy, Maleny, Montville and Mapleton. Or you could head North towards Hervey Bay and Rainbow Beach.
  • My stay with Dom was excellent, beautiful location out in countryside, perfect location for relaxing, only 30 minutes drive from Noosa. Dom was very accomodating and was great help to finding his place in the dark. He is kind hearted and relaxed making us feel very welcome. Will definitely stay again .

    joanna2016-10-01T00:00:00Z
  • Views from Dom's place are tranquil and relaxing. A variety of colour and song from the trees and native birds greet you as you go up the drive. Our host was knowledgeable of the area and very attentive to our needs. Highly recommend this wonderful place!

  • We enjoyed our stay at Dom's country house very much. The house is located in a relaxing and beautiful part of the Noosa hinterland and is ideal for anyone looking for a relaxing getaway or to be able to visit the local area - lots of places to visit in the vicinity. Thank you Dom for your hospitality and thoughtfulness.

We had our own space (living room, own bathrrom, room) . Best of all the night sky where we had the chance to see shooting stars and milky way. :) Dom made sure we had everything we need. He was a nice and friendly host. I definitely recommend this place if you are looking for a calm and relaxing getaway.

My place is close to Kenilworth Village and the Mary River. A "bach" also called a crib in the South Island on NZ, is a small, often very modest holiday home or beach house Little River Bach is a modest yet comfortable holiday cottage for couples located adjacent to our sister property - River Oaks on the Mary - yet sufficiently removed to offer privacy. It overlooks the green fields of the neighbouring dairy farm, Kenilworth Bluff and fronts the Mary River (100m from the door)
  • Loved our stay here - beautiful part of the world and great base to explore the Sunshine Coast hinterland. All comfortable, cosy and wish we could have stayed longer, perfect long weekend escape away from the city!

    Kate2017-04-17T00:00:00Z
  • Good value and a great retreat to relax and take in the country side.

    Carol2017-04-12T00:00:00Z
  • The Bach at Kenilworth is very comfortable and clean. The house is very well set up for a relaxing getaway complete with a huge DVD library, board games and everyday staples. The pot belly kept us very cosy and and we loved walking down to the river to kayak. The setting is idyllic and very quiet although only a few minutes in to Kenilworth. The extra touches of things such as a towel warmer, beautiful linen and a king sized bed just added to our relaxing week. Thank you Elin. We will be back!

    Joanna2017-07-01T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely view from bedroom window over rolling fields

    Julian2017-04-24T00:00:00Z
  • Elin's Bach is a wonderful place to stay when you want to vege out and relax. The scenery is wonderful, the quietness was just what we needed. There was also plenty of places to go visit and explore not far from the Bach. The fireplace was great at evening time when it cooled down. Would recommend Elin's Bach anytime, it is a great place to stay.

You will adore your stay at Bunya Springs as it is close to so many popular tourist destinations like Maleny, Montville, Noosa and all Sunshine Coast Beaches. It is 2kms from the Kenilworth Township, 1hr to picturesque Glasshouse Mountains and Australia Zoo, central to National Parks and State Forests, and 1hr and 45mins from Brisbane. Experience the relaxed feel of authentic country life - perfect for couples, solo adventurers, business travellers, and families alike.
Self-contained cottage with 2 separate bedrooms aimed to sleep 4 people comfortably; queen in the main bedroom and 2 x singles in the 2nd bedroom. Fully equipped country kitchen complete with oven, sink, big fridge, microwave - almost everything you have at home and could possibly need on holidays. Adjoining dining room looking out the bay window, lounge room with TV, soothing electric fireplace heater, and a wrap-around timber verandah to help you kick back, draw in the clean country air and gaze out over the Bunya Pines.
We don't think we are at all biased when we say Kenilworth is a perfect town and a perfect place to get away from it all. You can be as close to everything and as far away as you like; no matter what your interests, hobbies, aspirations or inspirations may dictate - you will find it either here or just up the road. Kenilworth is deliciously positioned at the centre of Queenslands Sunshine Coast - an hour and a half from Brisbane and 45 minutes inland from all the beautiful Sunny Coast beaches. There are so many things to do that you may just have to lie back in the hammock for a few days just to decide which adventure you will start with first!
  • Lovely rural neighbourhood with rural outlook. We found our Hosts were genuine in their welcome and their desire to ensure that we had the most comfortable and enjoyable stay they could arrange. They were warm, welcoming and gracious. We would go back and would recommend them to anyone. The accommodation was very comfortable, clean well presented. We would visit again and recommend them to others.

  • Such a wonderful little spot. The accommodation was extremely clean and well cared for, with lots of lovely touches and absolutely everything you need. The property is beautiful, great for short walks, and very scenic rolling hills to enjoy while enjoying a cup of tea of glass of wine from the verandah. Lesley and Stewart were extremely lovely and accommodating. We couldn't have been happier with our stay and highly recommend it to anyone looking for either a long or short visit to the region. We'll be back - hopefully for longer next time! Thanks again!

  • Bunya Springs is an absolutely wonderful place to get away and relax. This comfortable and modern cottage has everything you need! The property is beautiful, and it was especially nice to wake up to misty fog through the paddocks early in the morning. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and left us to enjoy our stay with privacy, yet we knew they were nearby had we needed anything. We'll certainly be back again, and for a longer stay! Thank you again Stewart and Lesley :)

    Lindsay2017-05-28T00:00:00Z
  • Bunya Springs is a tranquil hideaway set in the lovely surroundings of Stewart & Lesley's property about a three minute drive from Kenilworth. On arrival Stewart's friendly welcome was followed up with a snack of delicious local cheese & crackers. The continental style breakfast provided was a great start to the day as was the range of tea & coffee. The cottage's amenities was very clean, comfortable & well presented. Overall we had a wonderfully relaxing & enjoyable experience & we could not have asked for a better host. Highly recommend Bunya Springs as a place to get away from it all & get back in touch with nature.

  • Lovely, quiet and relaxing, just the thing to unwind from a hectic week. Stayed for 3 nights and felt very rested - wish it could have been longer. Hosts were very friendly and thoughtful and made us feel at home.

    Michelle2017-04-25T00:00:00Z
  • Everything about our accommodation was perfect. A private, spacious, clean and comfortable cottage that was even better than expected. Stewart and Lesley could not have been better hosts. We were in Kenilworth for a wedding and they offered to drop us off and pick us up from the event and gave us general tips for the area upon arrival. They went to great lengths to make us feel as comfortable and catered for as possible and our only negative is that we couldn't stay longer to explore their beautiful property. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the Kenilworth area. Perfect for a weekend away.

  • John's place is a paradise in the bush with fabulous views. We had a great walk around the property, sat and read our books in the sun, rested in the shade of the veranda and slept in which is most unusual for both of us. John was very welcoming and his generosity and friendly quietness made our stay very special. The hot bath under the stars was fantastic, the quietness of the property and the low key nature of the dwelling were just what we needed on our overnight stay. We would definitely stay again. Thank you John!

A luxurious family home with stunning views over a small lake, bushland and towering Mount Cooran. This newly-built eco-home was designed to enjoy the beautiful landscape from every room. In summertime enjoy the cool breeze that flows through the house at the top of the hill, and the cool night air at 130m above sea level. Fully equipped kitchen, two bathrooms, high ceilings, and a 20 min walk to a fantastic microbrewery. Enjoy peaceful seclusion only 35 min to Noosa. Instagram: @tallowwoodhouse
Perfect for a family escape this home enjoys the great outdoors and ultimate comfort at the same time. North facing over a beautiful panoramic view, the two bedrooms feature French doors which lead onto the large deck, inviting you out. The kitchen is fully equipped, with quality utensils and a luxurious oak dining room table with 10 leather chairs - ideal for entertaining. This eco-home has been designed to maximise use of solar heating and passive cooling. With the hallway at the back of the house, every room has the opportunity to let the breeze flow through on a warm summer day. Each room also has a ceiling fan. The kitchen/living room has air conditioning. There are three bedrooms, two with Queen Beds and one with a double sized mattress on the floor (in order to be used by children), and a single bed. One bedroom also has a double sized loft bed accessed by a ladder. In winter the sun sits low in the sky and warms the whole house through the many windows on the northern side. Protected from the cold south wind, you can sit out on the deck soaking up the sun. In summer the sun travels overhead giving you shade and cool breezes through the wide open doors. The house is fully screened to keep bugs out at night. An outdoor fire pit is also available. We have all the essential items for small children such as a cot, high chair, kids table, potty, toys etc. Our house is special-access-friendly. The front door has a flat entrance ramp which leads to the driveway and open carport. The hallway is twice as wide as usual and the showers and bathrooms have no steps. Each bedroom, and the living room, all have ceiling fans. Perhaps more importantly, each room also has plenty of windows to let in the cool night air. We are fairly high here in Cooran - 130m above sea level - and we find it is pleasantly cooler at night than it is down at Noosa or elsewhere near the coast. (See weather reports from the Gympie weather station as opposed to Tewantin or Sunshine Coast Airport. Approx once per summer we get one of those hot humid nights where the fans are essential.) Breakfast will be provided for the first morning of your stay. Your choices for breakfast are: home made granola (healthy, not too sweet), yoghurt, honey, cornflakes, milk, baked beans, eggs and bacon and toast. You are also welcome to use any other basic ingredients from the pantry, and just leave a few dollars if you eat a lot of it.
The Noosa hinterland is one of the areas best kept secrets. Leafy, lush and home to a few cute little towns. There is a lot to explore. You can walk into the village of Cooran along a beautiful nature trail. It takes about 20 minutes. There are two cafe's, a corner store, and a fabulous microbrewery pub known as Bonsai Brewery. Pomona is a 10 minute drive, or you can walk along the nature trail for about 1 hour. Pomona has a large IGA supermarket, restaurants, chemist, newsagency, bakery and other essential stores. Pomona and another nearby town, Kin Kin, both have weekend farmer's markets.
  • Elyse's home is absolutely stunning . I had the pleasure of sharing this space with my friends over New Year's Eve. Elyse was extremely friendly in our dealings and a great host. • The Magpie Room at Bellbunya community is just so lovely. It is nestled amongst the trees and is self contained. We woke to birdsong and fresh clean air, and even though it was quite cool outside, the room was pretty warm. Very clean, nicely decorated, and comfy bedding made for a relaxing environment to rest after busy days. I will definitely stay here again.

  • The place is a bit off the main roads but easy accessible by car. PPL are friendly, dinner can be arranged to a very reasonable price. Access to the accommodation is maybe a bit of a long haul with big luggage. To go to the next shop a car is needed. Internet access is via cable, I cannot comment on this as it was being set up during my stay and I could not access it. Mobile phone reception is depending on the supplier between possible or non existing. The scenery is amazing and very peacefull. I can fully recommend Bellbunya to other guest.

  • Idyllic place for a peaceful country get-away on the Sunshine Coast, only 10 minutes drive to the Eumundi Markets and others in the area. Bellbunya is a warm and friendly eco-community in a lush nature environment with much to explore. Checking out the massive community garden is an inspiration for what can be done! Option to share a healthy evening meal with the community or freedom to do your own thing is great. The room and en suite is superbly cosy, clean, spacious and inviting - loved the thoughtful personal touches with ground coffee and plunger, selection of teas and a teapot! The Magpie room is sufficiently detached from the main community to allow privacy and personal space. Fast cable internet in the room was a bonus. Appreciated the great communication and hospitality from Joan and the team that made my stay an easy and enjoyable experience. Looking forward to returning to this country gem!

  • Our trip to the studio was perfect! Libby was an excellent host, allowing for an easy and flexible check in and making sure we had everything we needed for our stay. The place is perfect for a little country get-away, peaceful and private and the most beautiful sunsets! The studio contained everything to get us by and we felt at home in the space. We would gladly return.

  • This place was perfect for my wife and I. Lovely quite place with great views. Close enough to Cooroy and Eumundi (less than 10mins) to enjoy any of the attractions these towns have to offer.

I live in the Noosa Hinterland, on one acre of land. The nearest town, Cooroy, is about five kilometres away, with Noosa Heads being twenty five. It is a pleasant drive up to Maleny, Montville and Mapleton where you can enjoy wonderful forests and waterfalls. Driving south along the coast are some beautiful beaches, including Coolum, Alexandra Headland and Caloundra. Driving north is a jump off point for Fraser Island. This area boasts many galleries and a multitude of fabulous restaurants.
If guests wish I am available to provide a Reiki Healing or Access Consciousness session. Please advise if you wish to take advantage of this opportunity at time of booking.

  • Simonnes place was comfortable and friendly. Could do with a spruce up but definitely good value and the bed was super comfortable . Simone was friendly and welcoming but not intrusive. And her dog Blue was just lovely.
