Places to stay in Hurricane Mills
The cottage is located on a 40 acre property. We have a greenhouse growing tomatoes year round and we grow gourmet mushrooms. We are in the process of planting orchards of apples and grapes. The property has a stream running through it and the cottage has great views of the land. The cottage has its own driveway off the main drive and a parking area. It is a fully renovated space with modern stainless appliances and new washer/dryer. There is a nice porch with a swing and lounge chairs to relax.
The cottage is located minutes from Kentucky Lake and about 12 minutes into the town of Waverly. We are not far from Loretta Lynn's property with plenty of yearly events. A drive into Nashville would take about 1 hour 15 minutes. Downtown 1-1/2 hour.
The cottage is in a rural area with lots of farms on our street. You will see lots of cows on the drive up. You may also encounter some friendly, waving neighbors on the road.
  • This was our third stay! We keep coming back because it is so clean, quiet, affordable and near our property in Lakewood Ranches.

  • Lovely, quiet, and comfortable 🤗

  • Wonderful space! Very clean and nicely decorated! The beds were super comfy!

  • I, my three kids, and our dog arrived at the cottage after 17 hours of driving and dealing with a broken moving trailer. Jamie and Jim went above and beyond in understanding my situation and accommodating me. They made check in extra easy so I could get to bed without any unexpected problems. It was the kind of care you’d expect from personal friends. Not only that, the cottage was spotless and beautifully decorated. It was surprisingly big and would be such a fun place to stay for the weekend or longer.

    Katy2020-02-13T00:00:00Z
  • Love this place. Its beautiful surroundings, and very quiet and surreal. The cottage is comfortable and has everything you need. Would definitely come back...:)

  • Nicely appointed cottage in a beautiful location. I’d forgotten what the sky looks like in true darkness until our visit!

    John2020-01-31T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful cottage, really enjoyed the stay. We were visiting family in Stewart and it was only about 20 mins away. The area is so peaceful and we saw quite a few deer nearby. Jamie was a great host.

    Jodie2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed our stay. Great and super clean cottage. Thank you. We saw plenty of deers and it was peaceful and the creek was amazing and very calming. Will definitely stay again.

Come enjoy life at a bit slower pace, in serenity found only in the country. Nestled in the rolling hills of Middle Tennessee along the peaceful waters of Little Blue Creek rests The Enochs Farm House Inn. Located near McEwen, this restored farmhouse is part of the historic Enoch's Farm. Featuring rustic, country decor, the Farm House is ready for guests to relax and recharge.
  • Very cozy and super clean!

  • We had a great experience with Joyce. The house was spotless clean and she went above and beyond to make us feel at home.

    Lucas2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely old farmhouse! Super cozy. You won’t be disappointed!

    Casey2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • What a sweet lady Joyce is. If you're looking for a laid back, off the beaten track, country lifestyle on your trip. I highly recommend this home. The only suggestion I have is if you are staying for a while or will need plenty of fridge space, bring a cooler because the fridge is just a small one. It was perfect for our short stay.

    Suzanne2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • Nice remote getaway in the country. Homemade pie was a very nice touch.

    Ann Lynn2020-01-11T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage was spotlessly clean and charmingly decorated. If you are looking for a quiet place to recharge your battery, this is perfect. There was a homemade pie waiting for us and the communication was excellent. I highly recommend this property.

  • This was our second stay here and, as before, the description was accurate. The location was perfect for visiting family in the area and much more comfortable than staying in a hotel.

  • We were very pleased with our stay. Beautiful old farmhouse in a gorgeous setting and was very clean/well maintained. We will stay again if we return to the area.

It has million dollar view of a beautiful river. Quiet and relaxing with a large deck and a grill. Access to the river is possible. Canoeing and select Restaurants discounts.......great for couples who want complete privacy or someone who wants to get on the river and relax. The road coming in is ruff. It is a gravel road which keeps it more private but I travel it with a small Nissan car.
It has a huge deck and deck furniture a washer and dryer... a large wrap around couch amenities are included. It is not the Hampton Inn it is a weekend weekday getaway for those who want privacy in the woods. The view is worth fortune. if your not into privacy and want total Hampton Inn this is not for you . There are also mood bottles and candles, just turn them on to set a relaxing mood.
Quiet private drive neighborhood. Most of the community is weekend business owners who enjoy privacy, community watch by the neighbors who do live at the entrance and an overseer .
  • My boyfriend and I had a great stay at Jessie’s cabin! The view is beautiful and we felt very secluded. Everything was clean and just as described!

    Michelle2020-03-14T00:00:00Z
  • If you like country living and peacefulness this is the place to stay. Tucked back in the woods. Very clean, quaint and relaxing. If you’re fortunate enough to go this time of the year (spring) you will enjoy frogs chirping all night. Great place.

Serenity House is a perfect retreat for two. Can sleep as many as four. It is located high in the trees. It boasts a beautiful view of the property from the sizable porch for enjoying a drink under the stars. Let the space sway you to sleep as the wind blows the treehouse side to side.
Serenity House is 460 square feet with a loft bedroom, kitchen, bathroom, living area and spacious porch. The treehouse overlooks a small valley and during winter months you can see our horse pastures. Please note the loft is up a ladder. If you are not able to climb stairs or a ladder this place may be difficult for you. This space is located high in the trees (about 20 ft at eye level at the highest point, and about 80 ft above the valley floor). **There is no internet or tv in this space. There is also very little phone service! We recommend bringing books, games, journals or small hobbies. If weather is supposed to be rainy you might consider bringing a computer with movies DOWNLOADED on it. (Or one with dvd capabilities.) Other listings on the property: https://abnb.me/QLxQi0mYsR https://abnb.me/LPjARfoYsR https://abnb.me/BcGwuYjUpR https://abnb.me/Ky70EhHYsR
We have three other rentals on the property as well as our home and the main cabin reserved for family visitors. Know that if you stay with us there is a chance you'll run into other visitors or family while accessing the trails or the pond! All guests are welcome to share the pond. Do not hesitate to come join the fun if you see people are down there.
  • Cannot recommend this place enough. My friend and I’s time here was beautiful and restful. The kitchen had everything we needed to make complete meals and a baloney to enjoy them on!

  • The Serenity House was a perfect weekend getaway. The house was just as the pictures showed and very clean. We had everything we needed and enjoyed being "off the grid" even though we had more cell phone service than expected! Catie has provided a perfect little retreat and we can't wait to go back!

  • The perfect mini-getaway for my husband and I who live in Nashville. The "treehouse" was adorable and had everything we needed. I've shared this listing with so many of our friends. Highly recommend this place!

  • Beautiful location with a mile loop to walk and enjoy checking out the properties. Very clean! Easy communication with host. Super cool experience!

    Kelly2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • Serenity House was the perfect place to relax and get away! We bought groceries on the way in, and retreated for the whole weekend -- couldn't have been a more perfect spot. Loved walking around the property, visiting with the sweet barn kitty, drinking coffee on the porch, and snuggling up in the SUPER comfy bed. Everything we needed was on site -- we even bought farm fresh steaks from our host to cook for dinner! Can't wait to be back!

    Aaron2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • The treehouse continues to be amazing. This was our third stay, and we love having such a quiet, clean, peaceful place to come back to every year. The new fire pit was an awesome addition! The dogs love it, we love it, it's a wonderful place to stay!

Cottage by the Creek is a 600 sq ft converted tobacco barn built in the early 1900's. We've converted the space into a light and bright one bedroom, with a loft. There is a fully functional kitchen and custom bath with tile shower. The 30 ft front porch offers views of the cattle farm across the street and the year round flowing creek.
The hosts home is set 200 feet from this cottage. There are pastures and an old Tennessee High Hay Hood Barn.
We're very secluded. We're around the corner from Rock 'N Refuge where our guests can walk the trails, visit animals and swim in the pond.

This setting is about a mile from the county's square, 15 minutes from the TN river, and about the same distance to Loretta Lynn's Dude Ranch. My own home is on the same property with a separate vehicle entrance and yard. Total privacy is yours but I'm available if needed. I've never had any security issues in the neighborhood. More than not, small communities are like that. I welcome you to join the small town feel that this setting provides!
What makes it unique, it is is in a simple rural town where traffic is not an issue and. and beautiful country scenery is right at hand. Humphreys County is rare for having Three Rivers within its county lines - the Tennessee River, the Duck River, and the Cumberland River. Within a 15-minute drive there are several different locations to eat on the Tennessee River also known as Kentucky lake.
I love it here because everything is so easily accessible. Any place you go in town is not far, which includes restaurants, department stores, churches, hospital, walk-in clinic, theater, bowling alley, fishing, hiking, etc.

Wee Nook is a 360 square foot living space with a full kitchen and bathroom. It is tucked underground in the middle of the woods. Please come enjoy the woods, farm animals, trails, pond and wide open space while you're here! As JRR Tolkien said: “In a hole in the ground there lived a hobbit. Not a nasty, dirty, wet hole, filled with the ends of worms and an oozy smell, nor yet a dry, bare, sandy hole with nothing in it to sit down on or to eat: it was a hobbit-hold, and that means comfort.”
Wee Nook is a 360 sq foot house with a full kitchen, bath, queen bed and sofa. It boasts the most quiet spot on our property, with a lovely pavilion for outdoor sitting in the middle of the woods. The hobbit hole has a live roof, and several eatable plantings around this space for enjoying in spring and summer months. We are 15 miles from Loretta Lynn’s Ranch/ Waverly, 30 miles from Dickson, Tn and an hour from Nashville. **There is no internet or tv in this space. There is also very little phone service! • The inside of the hobbit hole was just as pictured. Absolutely charming, comfy bed, functional kitchen. What I didn’t expect was how much we enjoyed all of the outdoor amenities. The fire pit, chairs and shelter, hiking trails, gorgeous pond... every turn was a happy surprise. Getting to take our pups along really made the trip extra special. Can’t WAIT to return.

  • Catie and Marcia’s hobbit home is SO lovely, me and my fiancé had such a relaxing, intimate evening. It was really nice to get away and unplug for the evening and just spend time with one another in the peace and quiet of the woods. We were also so pleased with all of the accommodations, they really make you feel at home by making sure you have everything you need. Such a cozy space, we will definitely be back! ♥️

  • I would 100% recommend the hobbit hole as a getaway for any LOTR fan! The space is so cute and filled with thoughtful touches. The whole area is fun to explore if you’re a fan of the outdoors. Great place to stay!

    Danielle2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • If you live in middle Tennessee, you can spend a night or more in the Shire - and be in a whole other world - after a fairly short drive! The Wee Nook is every bit as charming as we expected and the surrounding countryside absolutely beautiful! My husband and I celebrated 49 years of marriage there and enjoyed it so much. I highly recommend this Hobbit Hole to anyone who wants a fun and unique getaway. (You don't have to be a Tolkien fan to enjoy the Wee Nook but even more fun if you are.) Gandalf will greet you at the door, too!

BessieLou's; Family farmhouse established 1943. Over 260 acres for hiking with many ponds for fishing. One hour from Nashville. One half mile from Willow Ridge golf course. Loretta Lynn's Ranch the Tennessee river and Cumberland river within a twenty minute drive. Clarksville forty-five minute drive to the north.
My grandfather purchased this farm in 1943. The little crooked farmhouse is over 100 years old. You will notice my grandfather was more focused on function than aesthetics. "There was a crooked man and he had a crooked smile. Had a crooked sixpence and he walked a crooked mile. Had a crooked cat and he had a crooked mouse. They all lived in a crooked little house." Welcome to BessieLou's
  • I dont not even know where to start!! This place is absolutely amazing, very cozy, great location, Feels like Home!!. From the moment I got in to town and got in touch with Carolyn, I could tell it was going to be great!! Her response time is unsurpassed! Cant wait to be back in the summer!!

Very private with everything you need. I do live on the property but in a separate building and am here if you need me - otherwise you do not even need to see me. Plenty of parking including trailers. If there is something special you need - just ask and I'll try to accommodate.
Welcome to SkyCapps. This private retreat is less than 20 miles to Loretta Lynn's Ranch and the Tennessee River. Be sure to visit the Plantation House at Loretta’s ranch and hear about the ghosts that reside there. Johnsonville State Historic Park boasts an amazing visitor’s center where you can learn about the Civil War battle that took place there, and hike along the Tennessee River. Then enjoy dinner at the Grey Heron (at Pebble Isle Marina) while you experience the sunset and the quiet lapping water. This is a manufactured home on permanent foundation sitting on 5.5 acres. There is plenty of parking available for boats and other trailers. Overlooking the woods, the back deck has a fire pit and propane grill. For my four-legged guests, the small front yard is fenced. Fully furnished 3/2 including washer/dryer. Wi-fi and Directv w/3 flat screen tv’s. My guests have shared that they like that I live on the property, but away from the house.
This is a rural setting with no neighbors. Local information in the house. The house is only 3 miles from the city of McEwen, but this is a very small community - not even a traffic light. We do have a grocery store, Dollar General, a couple of restaurants, with good food and a pharmacy. Dickson is the closest larger city with all sorts of amenities and it is approximately 15-20 munites away.
  • You will not be disappointed. This home offers a comfortable place to stay and live during your visit to the area. There are outside spaces for you to enjoy and my kids found that they enjoyed exploring the area around the home as well. Karin was extremely easy to communicate with and was available when we needed her. We will definitely stay here again.

  • Karin was a wonderful host and was reachable if we needed anything at all. We found complimentary popcorn on the counter, as well, which was a kind touch!

Bottom half of duplex, 4 bedrooms, sleeps 9, living room, kitchen, 1 & 1/2 bath, that is built into a hill. I live upstairs. Located out in the country. Big Sandy is 5 miles away, and has gas, grocery store, bank, Dollar General, Family Dollar, many churches. The TN River is 3 miles away. Covered parking for a boat. Clean dogs..ok. Nashville is 110 miles, Memphis is 140. Paris & Camden are 15 miles away. If is a full house. Rustic country living, by the day, week, or month.
Two wildlife refuges are close by. Loretta Lynn's place at Hurricane Mills is about 30 miles. Fort Donaldson is about 40 miles. Paris has the 1/4 size Eiffel Tower, and Camden is where Patsy Cline died, and has a memorial at the site. In summer, the TN river is 3 miles away...swimming, boating, fishing. I know a lot of off-road places to take a quad within minutes of here.
It's a very quiet, peaceful setting with a view of the pasture, with cows, and the woods, beyond.
  • Spacious, comfortable, and very clean with full kitchen, 1 1/2 bath, and 4 bedrooms. This place is fully stocked with kitchen goods and plenty of linens. There is also a washer and dryer on site. The location is convenient to Big Sandy, Camden, Paris, and Kentucky Lake. There is WiFi access and cable TV. The hosts are very friendly. Bring your kids and fur babies for plenty of running room out in the country. I have stayed at Diana's place several times now, since I have family in the area - this is definitely my "go to" place when I am in the Big Sandy area.

    Althea2019-12-18T00:00:00Z
  • Diana was prompt and clear in communication. The space was amptly sufficient and the setting spectacular in rural beauty. Look forward to meeting up with family in this sweet Tennessee spot again.

  • Our stay started out with a sincere greeting and a tour of things we need to know, etc. The entire home is much better than we anticipated. It exceeded our expectations. We really enjoyed our host and her home and look forward to coming back soon

    Jeremy2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • Diana and Jim are very sweet. Diana was very welcoming toward my kids and that's very comforting since kids can be a hand full. She was very thoughtful and it was nice chatting when we did. She sticks to her business if that's what you like. Personally, I love talking. Lol. Her house is gorgeous. Spacious yard for kids to run, play and be loud. Toys inside for kids entertainment. She has cable. It's perfect. Thank you, Diana for your hospitality. Tell your husband Jim thank you, too.

    Aurora2019-10-02T00:00:00Z
  • You folks are missing out if you don't take advantage of this place when you are in the Camden, Paris, or Big Sandy area. This is now my "go to" place to stay in this area. Quiet, peaceful, safe, and a beautiful starry sky, if you are into checking out the constellations without the interference of city lights. The house itself is very clean and excellently stocked with everything you could possibly need or want. The space is very comfy and roomy. The location is reasonable distance to groceries, post office, and bank, as well as close to Kentucky Lake and many local attractions. If you want to explore some alternate routes, take a walk on the wild side - many of the short cuts to town are windy, gravel roads that are lots of fun to drive, and you see lots of deer, turkeys, owls, and armadillos. As you can tell, my dog and I love this place.

    Althea2019-09-20T00:00:00Z
  • We give this Big Sandy Air B + B a high recommendation for being a warm and welcoming place to stay to experience the majestic rich beautiful of Tennessee! Our upbeat host Diana gave us a tour of her very spacious colorful 4 bedroom 2 and 1/2 bath rental home that was once a drapery factory. She has satellite TV, a lovely walking prairie path in the back, a patio, washer, dryer and more. There is a kid's room with toys and would make the perfect place for a family to stay. Diana was so sweet. She gave us water, welcomed us to food that was donated from other travelers and in return we also donated some of our groceries for the next tenants. There is also an option to have breakfast cooked and served at an exceptional low cost. We were given some great history of Big Sandy and she even recommended a few points of interest for us to visit. The cherry on the sundae was when she went out of her way to bring down her little Chihuahua from her home on the second floor. He was just as welcoming as she was. This rental is located right in the heart of what "America the Beautiful" stands for. The town of Big Sandy is luscious with forest, hills and wild life. We saw wild turkeys, armadillos, horses, cows, minnows in ditches and beautiful birds. We were lucky to be there during a full moon and couldn't believe our eyes when we saw this momentous moon rising up off the horizon as we were driving around. Thankfully this Air B+B has wi fi because there isn't much cell phone reception. A house phone to call locally is provided with long distance options. We used it to order Pizza for pickup at Mom and Pop's Pizza which was fantastic! We recommend creating an internet phone number by downloading a free app called Google Voice "before your trip" so you can call family to let them know you made it to TN safe. A good travel tip, but not necessary if you are good with a map, is to have a Garmin GPS with you. This satellite operated device made getting around easy breezy. A less than two hour day trip to Nashville to see more of the states amazing forestland was a great addition. We visited the Parthenon replica, had some real TN BBQ at Voila and went to an amazing look out point during the day at the top of Love's Circle to get a picture of the city. I regret not making it out The Grand Old Opry. We couldn't have been happier in this charming family friendly rental home and Diana's hospitality. We look forward to another visit in the future and hope you get a chance to see this luscious state.

  • I came to stay with a few friends and we really enjoyed our stay. Diana and her husband were very helpful, giving tips about local things to do and even helping us inflate our river floats. The house was very clean and there was plenty of space. We were also able to use the firewood to make a fire and have a cookout in the back yard. Diana was very friendly and made our stay comfortable and enjoyable!

    Kara2019-07-28T00:00:00Z
  • What are you folks waiting for - this is a gem of a place - close to Kentucky Lake - rural (peaceful and quiet, except for the chicadahs - lovely music) - lay your head down without having to worry about locking doors. Full kitchen and dining area - 1 1/2 bath - 4 bedroons. Everything is immaculately clean and well stocked. Washing machine and dryer on the premises. Private, off-street parking - outside patio w/table and seating and hummingbirds (extra). Pet friendly - let your kids and pets run wild.

  • Helga’s place is such a gem! If you are looking for a great place to disconnect and be away from the “noise.” We (seven mid 30s gap from the city) thoroughly enjoyed our stay and our time to bond with each other. Tons of space and the place and grounds are perfect!!

    Tiffany2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • It is a beautiful, quiet place to stay. The only thing that could have made it better would have been a fireplace! We highly recommend staying there.

  • Looking for an escape from the hustle & bustle of the city & suburbs? The Bez Valley farm & cabin are just that. We enjoyed peaceful walks to the pond, creek & pastures where we spotted otters, hawks & farm animals. It rained off & on during our weekend stay, but we were very comfortable in Helga's clean, spacious cabin. Please note that it's a good idea to bring your groceries since stores & restaurants are at least a half hour away on winding roads. Our party of 6 played Uno & dominoes (many more games available) and watched sports on TV. The internet connection is not strong, but we saw this as an opportunity to connect with each other and the beautiful natural surroundings. It was truly a fun family getaway. Thanks for your hospitality, Helga!

    Tom2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed our weekend at Helga’s cabin. It was serene and peaceful. A little off the beaten track, but a truly peaceful area. Would definitely stay again.

Nestle in the backwoods of beautiful Hickman County you will enjoy a relaxing stay on a genuine horse ranch. Quiet and peaceful, waking to gentle nickers and deer roaming about. Horseback riding, Cattle drives, hiking, fishing, canoeing, 5 miles from exit 148 on I 40, a quick 12 miles from Centerville Square complete with food, fun and shopping galore. In winter, heated with a glass front wood pellet stove.
The ole Corn Crib was built in 1958 by our Grandfather. The front features the faux olden doors for a nostalgic first impression. The entrance is nestled on the front porch with a beautiful view of the hillside and greenery to the left. And to the right a spring fed creek and refreshing place to get a sweet taste of Wolf Creek spring water. The barn is located just to the far right of the crib and can be viewed from the beautiful cedar deck along with horses grazing in the paddock directly behind the crib. The inside of the crib is fashioned to the likings of a “tiny home” with many different original and creative talents invested to provide the comfy and cozy feel it holds. The custom stair way leads to a cozy double bed with a view that is promising for anyone to see wildlife meandering by. The kitchenette is fashioned towards the 1970’s era with a taste of country charm. The bathroom is surprisingly spacious for this tiny home. It features a creative shower and more. Heated with a wood pellet, glass front stove. While this project was a challenging journey, it holds the history of so many stories and the love and charm that Wolf Creek is so known for.
Small and quaint a peace of mind you will want to call your own. Coble General store and diner only 2 miles away. Town is 12 miles away. Exit 143 has lots of God’s choices and Loretta’s Ranch
  • Lynda’s place was so charming! A real experience to be there. Both she and her husband were welcoming and kind throughout our stay. I’d recommend

  • This place was fantastic! We needed someplace to de-stress after a move and this was the perfect break. Quiet and calm and exactly perfect!

    Sharon2019-11-05T00:00:00Z
  • The unique family history of Wolf Creek Ranch is only outdone by the charming owners! The attention of detail creates an ambience that takes you back in time where you forget your daily stress. A breath of fresh air!

  • So many air-bnbs are just a convenient place to rest your head. It’s rare that as a guest you are made to feel actually “hosted”. Lynda some how managed to make us feel like special guests even though we were on a road trip and just needed a spot for an overnight stay. The “corn crib” house is so darling. From its front porch to well put together interior, you truly feel like you are in TN! And it is SO CLEAN! I’d love for all Air BNB hosts to set their cleanliness standard to Lynda’s! Lastly, we just so appreciated the little touches, like baby shampoo when they knew we had our baby with us and breakfast already there for us in the fridge. I only wish we had longer to stay on this incredible property with such wonder hosts.

  • This barn is such a magical retreat to the country. We had such an amazing week of family time together. Our kids couldn't get enough of playing in the pond and catching tons of fish. There is plenty of room for multiple families as well as dining utensils and space for everyone to come together at dinner time. We had a wonderful experience and would absolutely recommend this to anyone looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of life for a while!!

This is an amazing fully renovated cabin on almost 5 acres that you can walk right out the front door and access the water. We are located on a bay of the TN river where Tom's Creek flows in. Incredible bird watching & star gazing. Bring your kayaks, paddleboards or bass boat. When the water is up anchor out front or store at a nearby marina. There is a boat ramp on this bay although it's pretty bare bones. Mousetail Landing State Park which has newer ramps is only 13 miles away.
  • Nice place, just outside of Linden. If you are looking for a getaway - this is it!

  • Excellent little place on the river! No phone service, internet, or noise which is great it makes you unplug and that’s just what we needed. There is one little store down the road if you need anything. We had a blast and Larissa was prompt responding to any questions we had.

    Jesse2019-05-12T00:00:00Z
  • Stylish, well equipped, and has a beautiful view overlooking a bay of the Tennessee River. This is a cabin to break free from the chaos and just... relax. It's the perfect retreat to enjoy some quality time with loved ones and/or spend time in nature. Being bird watchers from CA, here are a few of our favorite yard birds: Eastern Whip-poor-will, Barred Owl, Prothonotary Warbler, Blackpoll Warbler and Blackburnian Warbler. The birding was awesome, and at night, the firefly show was amazing. We would definitely stay at River Rest again.

    Samantha2019-05-07T00:00:00Z
  • Larissa place was everything that is described in the posting. The view from the front porch is beautiful early in the morning. Best place to stay relaxed and stay away from work. overall really good value for the money. I would definitely recommend

  • I was looking for a quiet and peaceful place, and I got exactly that. Larissa’s little house lay still in the autumn forest with a lake view, cosy and comfortable and clean. • This was our first Airbnb experience and it was fantastic! Pearl Heaven was definitely a haven for us during our stay. We stayed for over two weeks starting the middle of February and Heather was more than accommodating when we had to extend for a couple more days. The cabin was very well appointed with fresh clean linens, comfortable inviting queen bed, plenty of sitting areas and eat-in kitchen. The HDMI cable made it easy for us to stream our Firestick and watch our tv shows. The couch and stuffed chair were very comfy. This was a working vacation for us so the WiFi was very important and it did not disappoint. A place with good WiFi was hard to find when I first started my search and you never know what you’re going to get even though it says they have it. Birdsong Canyon is absolutely breathtaking and the neighbors are great! They all look out for each other. I especially enjoyed my conversation with Mike who was very knowledgeable about the Tennessee River and all things Tennessee. His dog, Diesel is gorgeous! The goats are adorable as well. It was clear why they call the area Birdsong Canyon. The soft sweet songs of birds echoing through the canyon was delightful! It wasn’t annoying bird squawking either. The cabin itself had everything we could ask for. The stack washer and dryer was a big plus because we did not need to bring a lot of clothes. It had fresh clean linens, comfortable inviting queen bed, plenty of sitting areas and eat-in kitchen. Very clean & inviting. The decorating was tasteful & not busy with personal knick knacks. The HDMI cable made it easy for us to stream our Firestick and watch our tv shows. This was a working vacation for us so the WiFi was very important and it did not disappoint. Finding a place with good WiFi was challenging when I first started my search. You never know what you’re going to get even though it says it’s included. I would not hesitate recommending Pearl Haven to anyone. It has all you would ever need - and more! Thank you Heather for your hospitality! Kelly Spaven Riverside, California

  • It’s an amazingly cute place very stylish with a view of the lake. It was the perfect place for us or for a small family wanting to get away from everything

    Diana2019-11-04T00:00:00Z
  • This place is cozy and extremely well-maintained! It is much larger in person than it appears in pictures so we were pleasantly surprised. The only thing I would say was a drawback was the fact that there is an acorn tree directly above the cabin, and the acorns fell and hit the tin roof like gun shots which startled us and our Lab puppy: especially late at night, plus there is an electric fence so she got shocked twice trying to visit the cute goats next door—but other than that, it was perfect and she learned quickly and loved eating the acorns btw lol. There is a short walk to the water and we were able to Kayak fish all day. Great neighbors and loads of land :) it was such a great getaway, and we will definitely be back!

  • 2 month stay for work. This was heaven. A perfect place to get away from it all. The house is wonderful. Refrigerators on both floors with a drink cooler on the lower level. Everything you needed was on hand. I loved sitting on the porch in the morning and watching the sun come up. I really needed a place to recharge and reset, this was the ticket. Janet was quick to respond and take care of a couple of minor issues. On Friday's I would find myself making sure I had all my groceries etc. on hand so I didn't have to leave all weekend. The house is on a dead end so the "main" road traffic was non-existent. If you're looking to check out for a minute, you've found your spot. There are places to get food within 10 minutes and WalMart is 15. The local boat dock has food during season, which I hear is really good. WiFi worked well. The name says it all. Cozy Lake House. I'll definitely be back if I find myself working in the area again.

  • Sweeney Bluff Lodge is a perfect family get-away. Wi-fi is good, but not great--so it's perfect for taking your teenagers and actually getting family interaction from them! The canoe and kayak are convenient and readily available for short or long spurts on the close-by river. We also love the bonfire pit, the DVD collection, and the path for long walks in the woods. It is one of our family's favorite places to spend a fall weekend.

    Katie2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • Virginia's place was wonderful. A cabin restored with charm and a bit of quirk, with generous spaces and comfortable beds and couches. We especially loved the deck, and the screened porch with the day bed. The river was lovely and we went swimming every day. There was a cold spring that fed into the river where you enter the water that was blissful on the hot days. Everything was green and quiet, and I spotted some bright butterflies on my morning walks. We read a great deal, and finally started watching The West Wing. A place that really feels like summer.

    Theo2019-08-17T00:00:00Z
  • What a great weekend getaway!! There were six of us in our group and the cabin was perfect!! It was beautiful and right on the river! We didn’t need to bring anything but ourselves! Virginia is an awesome host and very quick to respond with any questions I had!! I will definitely be back!

    Jackie2019-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • If you are looking to get off the beaten path this is the place. Even cell phone service was challenging. My dog and I enjoyed the privacy and quiet; saw no other people or cars and just two kayaks passed while we hung out on the island, a short canoe trip or just wade over from the dock (that might be because we were there during the week). Two cabins close by but no occupants. Central AC was a nice plus as was the fully stocked kitchen. The bed was a little firm for me but I brought a mattress topper for just that reason. Good water pressure. Great location, will stay there again!

    Emily2019-08-07T00:00:00Z
  • Sweeney Bluff Lodge is an amazing place! The cabin is spacious, very cozy and clean. We loved the decor. If you are looking for a beautiful, quiet and relaxing place, this is perfect! The river is right there in the backyard and having the canoe and kayak was a bonus! Our family had a great time there just relaxing and enjoying every minute together.

Looking for the perfect getaway, you will find some peace and quiet here. Only 14.6 miles from I-40, this 2,496 square foot cabin is located in a beautiful place surrounded by nature. Deer, which often frequent the front yard to graze, are among the turkey and other wildlife you can find here. There is a hiking trail, a lovely creek to play in, and you'll have access to 97 acres of woods to explore. It's in the peaceful hills of Tennessee where you'll definitely find some peace and quiet.
Inside the home you will find a clean and comfortable environment for your stay. All of the showers and sinks at Peaceful Hills are supplied with the freshest spring water you can get here in Tennessee. That's right, pure spring water with no added chemicals. Having all three homes supplied with fresh spring water is definitely a blessing from above! In the bedrooms/bathrooms you will find plush bath towels, clean sheets, plenty of pillows, and a linen closet stocked with extra blankets, sleeping bags, sheets, pillow cases, towels, washcloths for your use. For your breakfast there will be a Keurig stocked with tea and coffee. Freezer and full size refrigerator are available for your use, as well as stove, oven, toaster oven, waffle makers, blender, food processor, microwave, plates, glasses, pots, pans, utensils and more. Be sure to bring your own food when you come, because the nearest grocery store in Centerville is at least a 25 minute drive. There is not a grocery store or a gas station on Exit 148 on I-40, so come prepared ahead of time.
The neighborhood consists of beautiful crystal clear creeks to enjoy, kayaks and canoes are nearby, fresh air, trees and wildlife. It is amazing how many stars you can see at nighttime without the city lights, and meteor showers are a favorite sight to see from this peaceful hillside.

  • Jennifer and her family are sweet and accommodating. They were communicative, but let us feel that the get away was private. We loved the house! It fit 8 of us very comfortably! The views, birdsong and porches are amazing.

    Sochi2019-06-09T00:00:00Z
  • Jennifer's place is great. If you want to relax, recharge and experience nature at it's best; then Jennifer's cabin is the place for you. I was skeptical at first, because this is a first for me, but let me say, I will do this again .

    Garfield2018-12-26T00:00:00Z
  • We came to the hills of Tennessee for a family gathering at Thanksgiving. We wanted a place that was surrounded by nature and isolated from the things that distract from the holiday. Our 3 nights at the cabin were exactly what we hoped for. The property was amazing. There were marked trails for hikes and a great creek. A big open green area was perfect for letting the kids play and having a family campfire. The cabin had everything we needed to make several big meals. It was stocked with games, puzzles, throw blankets and the hammocks were amazing. Relaxation was our goal and this cabin delivered. There were several musical instruments and my daughter loved playing the piano. Jennifer was very quick to respond to our questions and although getting to the property may be difficult, her personal directions were spot on. It was a fantastic trip and we were sad to end our time there

Our cabin was our vacation spot at the river until we decided we loved it so much out here we moved full time. It’s a quaint little 600sq foot 20x 30 cabin with an old time feel. It has a wood burning stove, window ac, full kitchen and living room to relax after a long day on the river. It’s rustic wood walls and sawmill lumber ceilings will make you feel at ease. The decor was our grandparents pictures and old lamps that we treasure. We have a full size baby bed in the room with the bunk beds.
The birdsong marina is only 1/4 mile down the road or the TWRA also has a boat ramp. Camden is a short drive away and offers tons of antique shops and restaurants to enjoy. This is a very small town. Jackson is an hour west and Nashville is an hour and 40 minutes east. Paris is about 35 minutes away and dickson is 50 minutes away. We have a baby sit floor seat, a bouncer a rocker, baby bath tub and bassinet in the room with the double bed as well as full-size crib in the room with the bunk beds. There’s directv in the living room with all the movie channels but only tv and dvd in the bedrooms. The cabin is on well water and the washer/ dryer is a one unit combo small washer and dryer that is 2.6 cu feet capacity. We also have a small flat bottom Jon boat you are welcome to use during your stay. It doesn’t have a trailer so if you don’t have a truck we would be more than glad to put it in the water for you. Birdsong Drive in movie Theater is 5 miles away and shows double features. There’s a dirt track race track in town and many more things to do for entertainment. Birdsong marina rents paddle boats, kayaks and full size boats but I’m not sure of their rates. If you are looking to get away from a fast paced world and just relax then benton county is where you want to be.
Kentucky lake is 1/4 mile away
  • The house was well kept and cozy. My family had to take an unexpected trip to the area for a funeral and misty was very helpful with such short notice. The area is beautiful and peaceful. • What a perfect secluded hideaway! We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Misty’s cabin! It was clean, fully stocked with necessities and close to the Marina. We loved Shand’s Fish and BBQ so much (about 8 miles from the cabin) we ate there twice during our stay! The crib and baby toys were a nice touch for our daughter! We will definitely be back!

  • What an adorable cabin! Super cozy, adorable decor, and well-appointed. Misty was amazing with quick and responsive communication, and made sure we had everything we needed for our stay before we arrived. We loved having space for the dogs to get some energy out! We’d definitely stay again!

"The honeymoon cabin" one hour west of Nashville is perfect for a weekend get away for two. Can sleep as many as four. It's our quietest location on the property. A lovely place to seclude yourself from life's busyness.
Small log cabin in the woods. Nice porch for sitting on warm nights. It has a full kitchen, full bath and living area (with sofa bed) on the main level. The queen bed is up a flight of stairs in the loft. Wood burning fireplace for cold winter nights. Fire pit outside for cool fall and spring nights. And a charcoal grill for grilling on warm nights! We are located on a peaceful and secluded 200 acre farm an hour outside of Nashville. We have cattle, goats, horses and chickens on the property. We have a small garden and orchard that will be available to guests as the season provides. We are a twenty minute drive to Loretta Lynn's Ranch. A half-hour from Dickson (east), fifteen minutes to Waverly (west) and an hour outside of Nashville provides guest the option of going to the city for the day. There is no WiFi, no tv and very little cell service.
We have three other rentals on the property as well as our home and the main cabin reserved for family visitors. Know that if you stay with us there is a chance you'll run into other visitors while accessing the trails or the pond! • This is the perfect weekend get away for a couple. There is no internet and little cell service so can easily unplug and reset. The loop trail was the perfect afternoon walk. Red (the dog) is the perfect good boy and Luna is a sassy boss and they made our stay even better.

  • The Honeymoon cabin is perfect for unplugging! We loved the hiking and our time indoors by the fire. It rained a lot on this visit so we got to enjoy the sound on the metal roof😴 The Wood was seasoned and dry!

This is a true tiny with a rain water catchment system and a composting toilet. Please read the description before booking.
This is a tiny house. It’s 10x14 with two lofts. It has a full size bed and 2 twin beds. It has steep stairs to the lofts It has a Natures head composting toilet that you will empty after your stay and is semi off grid and runs off a water catchment system. It does have window air conditioners, propane hot water and propane heat. It has a small retro kitchen, a small living room, stand up shower. The ceiling is 79 inches tall. It has 122.45 acres that backs up to TWRA/ The Tennessee River. Come bring your family and teach your kids to hunt on our land, bring your atv or your fishing poles. You will have exclusive use of the whole 122 acres on your stay. It’s only 11 miles to Loretta Lynn’s. It’s at Interstate 40 on Birdsong @ exit 133. We wanted to allow everyone to be able to hunt on our land instead of just leasing it to one person. It’s down the road from Morgan creek boat dock or you can go to the back of the land on TWRAs property and fish off the bank. If you want to experience a camping experience but don’t want to be in a hot tent then try our tiny house. Come enjoy all nature has to offer and escape the hustle and bustle. If you are contemplating going tiny, come spend a night or a week and see how you like it. It has a 40 foot connex box to lock up all your ATV’s. It has a smart Tv you can hook your phone hotspot to and watch digital tv or we have dvds to watch. There’s no WiFi offered by any provider here. It’s not suitable for small children as the loft and ladder presents a danger but children older that preschool age should be fine. We are pet friendly and allow pets at our properties. No smoking inside but it is allowed outside.

  • If you have ever wondered what a tiny home would be like, then this is the perfect place for you to stay! It’s nice even for a tall person!
