“This site outside Howick is where Nelson Mandela was arrested on 5 August 1962. It holds enormous significance for the country as visitors get to learn about the most amazing President we have ever had. There is also a restaurant available at the site.”

“We are about 5km from Piggly Wiggly. A great place for breakfast and shopping! Whether it be art, linen, chocolate, wine, bakery, toys, gifts, wonderful soaps - you will find it there. And it is open for lunch too! You can even do the Piggly Wiggly Park Run on a Saturday morning - do not be taken in by the "dare I say a bit boring start" it ends on a very high note - save your energy - and then enjoy breakfast!”

“Although 30 minutes drive out of PIetermaritzburg, it's a lovely sight to see when the falls are flowing. Give it a miss if there's a drought. There are also shops in the vicinity to browse through, and on occassional Sundays there is a flea market.”
