Just booked in Hope

Large suite with private entrance and luxury bathroom in a beautiful log home overlooking Kawkawa Lake. Loft bedroom and sofa bed can sleep 4. Close to trails, lakes and year round recreation.
The suite consists of a living room with sofa bed (more suited for sleeping to children than adults), kitchenette, eating area, and a loft bedroom. The bathroom has a large soaker tub, separate shower and dual sinks. The space also includes a very large, private deck overlooking Kawkawa lake. We have a crib available on request. Please note that the kitchenette does not have a stove, but there are a couple of hot plates, a toaster oven, and a microwave. It also has a full sized fridge and coffee maker. On the private deck there is also a BBQ that is for your use.
Our home is located up the mountain in the forest, so the views are spectacular. In the summer, we're a quick two minute drive to the lake. There are a wide variety of walking trails within minutes of the property.
  • This trip to Canada was our first experience with AirBnB, and Crystal's place in Hope was our third location of the trip. And what a location - as a previous review said: I want to keep this place for myself too! An amazing, huge, clean, modern and gorgeous space inside a large log house, with its own external balcony overlooking the mountains, complete with BBQ. The bathroom is luxurious hotel quality. The bed was floaty. The whole space looks like something from the TV show Grand Designs. Location is great: a few minutes drive from the tunnels, and about 10 minutes from downtown Hope. If you're staying in or near Hope and there's availability here, don't even bother looking elsewhere: even for triple the money you won't find anything better, I promise. If we're in the area again we will definitely be trying to book back in!

Here you will discover a high quality, 1,170 square foot suite, containing an extremely comfortable Queen bed. The suite is near public transportation, city centre, the Fraser and Coquihalla rivers, and parks. You’ll probably love it because of the views, the central location, laid-back people, the ambiance, and the outdoor spaces. This place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and families (with kids). Expect excellent service and food items.
This quiet, serene, ultra-clean 1,200 square foot suite is located in a new home in a quiet cul-de-sac of Hope, British Columbia with green space, and a natural habitat outside your bedroom window. The suite features a work area, a wet bar, mini-fridge, toaster, microwave, free wi fi, a high definition TV room, eating area, with hot water heating and air conditioning. There is a covered, quiet outside area for guests to relax, and view the majestic mountains that surround this quaint little town.
This neighborhood is tasteful, quiet and slow-paced, like the town of Hope itself. It feels like a premier holiday destination - that's because it is. Hope is located halfway between the coast and the sunny Okanagan. A former trading post, this small, picturesque town sits where the pristine Coquihalla River meets the mighty Fraser River, a world-class salmon fishing destination. From here, you can access several highways, hence its convenient location status. The town is surrounded by mountains with world-class views, and is close to a plethora of hiking trails (from beginner to advanced), several lakes, the Othello Tunnels, Hells Gate, Minter Gardens, Harrison Hot Springs and Manning Park for summer hiking and winter skiing. Some people come here for the "First Blood" tour, as the movie (starring Sylvester Stallone) was filmed in Hope, way back in 1982. Years later this place, for the most part - still looks virtually the same. As a result of sometimes strong, daily prevailing winds from the Fraser Canyon, Hope's air is some of the cleanest in Canada and pure, literally untainted water comes straight from the tap. Nestle, the largest (American) business in town, draws its water from the same (six) deep wells that our drinking water comes from. Recently, Hope's water was named the best in British Columbia.
  • Quiet place, super clean and comfortable. Not far from town and host very dedicated.

Imagine enjoying a wonderful escape and some much needed R & R while taking in the stunning mountain views that surround you. This fully contained and serviced 25' Kodiak travel trailer with private yard and lake access offers the perfect getaway and is a step above the average "glamping" experience. Great floor plan and quality finishes. Only ~150kms East of Vancouver, yet a world away.
Enjoy the private bedroom with Queen bed and wall mounted TV, fully equipped kitchen, fold out sofa bed, 4 seat side out dining area, TV with sound system in main living space, full bathroom complete with neo-angle shower, and more in this heated, air conditioned 2015 Kodiak travel trailer! Take advantage of the abundance of nearby outdoor recreation, including swimming, golf, hiking, fishing, walking trails, mountain biking, gliding, and more. Mount Hope offers 5300 vertical feet of trails laden with valleys and streams and there is a rock climbing wall, complete with rigging, near the start of the Coquihalla Hwy. If you prefer, simply enjoy some lakeside rest & relaxation and watch the eagles soar by. The lake itself is teaming with life. It is home to many species of fish, but it is best known for its large kokanee salmon. In addition to the aforementioned eagles, you might see osprey, loons, hummingbirds and many other types of birds and waterfowl. You might also catch a glimpse of a turtle, beaver, minx, freshwater otter and more while on or near the lake.
The neighbourhood is quiet and private, without the ambient light found in the city... an abundance of stars are visible on clear nights. It truly is a world apart; an opportunity to connect with nature, yourself, and your family.
  • Michelle was very welcoming. Travel trailer had everything needed for the stay. I was there for four nights while in town for business. Really nice area close to the lake. Very quiet location.

Hope is a small town of ~7,000 people, quiet community, but it's busy on the weekends, summers and holidays. Because of its close proximity to Vancouver (90 min drive), and being on 2 major highways (TC 1 and 3), the city has all kinds of amenities for visitors - visitor centre, restaurants, parks, trails, camp grounds, cinema, golf course, bowling alley, grocery and liquor stores, boutique and artisan stores, gas stations, etc. We would be happy to provide you with information and recommendations or show you around. Our property is located on the very quiet part of the city, on a cul-de-sac, the city centre is a 3 min drive or 20 min walk. There is a corner-store located within 3 min walk from the house. You can also walk to the lake with a beautiful beach and playground in 10 min, or you can drive for 2 min. During the summer, time there is a Saturday village market with lots of local artisans and crafters attending it (including my Mom with her baked goods - yumm! ). Hope is also known as the chain saw carving capital of Canada, you will find lots of carved sculptures around the town and in August there is a big annual festival. An antique car show is also hosted here on the Canada Day weekend (July 1st), lots of fun! After the first weekend in Sep, there is also a big celebration with fireworks. The city has a nice recreation centre with an ice rink, gym, library and an indoor swimming pool for public use - very affordable! We are also close to the Manning Park resort. It's only a 40 min drive to this spectacular park with breathtaking hikes in the summer time and snowshoeing, snowboarding, downhill or cross country skiing or snow tubing activities in the winter time. Come back from your busy day in the park to soak in the hot tub, enjoy the outdoor or indoor fireplaces and a glass of wine.

  • This was such a cute and quaint little place! It was right along the river so you could hear the river through the night. It is very close to town and easily accessible to the highway. David and Alice were very nice and welcoming, terrific hosts!

  • Loved the sound of the creek, the kitchen was well stocked. The era of the house was charming

    laurie2017-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • David's patio is something you just have to experience. The river is right in front of you, you hear the sound of the water passing by, and the yard is well maintained. The house is in great condition. This place is ideal for a family getaway. Additionally, David is extremely welcoming and caring about his guests. We would for sure go back.

    Paiman2017-09-03T00:00:00Z
  • We had an excellent stay. The house, and property, are larger than the photos suggest. The kitchen is well-equipped. We loved the fireplace, and relaxing by the creek. David is a warm and welcoming host and very helpful with any questions.

    Caroline2017-05-20T00:00:00Z
  • Very clean and well kept house. Very comfortable with good light and lots of books and interesting decore. Lots of care has been taken in the arrangements. The location is a ways outside of the Hope townsite so a car is needed for errands. The creekside setting is lovely.

    rosemary2016-10-12T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed at David's for two nights over the Thanksgiving weekend, after my partner and I picked up my brother from Abbotsford airport. It was his first visit to BC, and instead of immediately heading back to Vancouver I thought it'd be nice to show him something of the BC interior. I'd driven through Hope before and was charmed by it, and was thrilled to have the chance to stay and explore it further. There couldn't have been a better spot to stay than David's; it was cozy, clean, and the kitchen was extremely well-stocked with all the cookware, coffee, tea, bakeware, utensils, spices, etc. one could need, the bathroom had all the toiletries and a great hairdryer, and there were ample extra towels in the linen closet. The first day we were in Hope there was a rainstorm: 50-70 mm. We went to Hell's Gate, and explored the town of Hope a little, but ultimately weren't able to have the hiking day we envisioned. Instead, we spent most of that Saturday staying in at David's and cooked a great meal, and sat in the large living room overlooking the gorgeous creek with a roaring fire. The next day the sun came out and we were able to hike. But honestly, I can't imagine what the rainy day would have been like had we stayed in a motel or hotel, for the same cost - cooped up in a room, with two beds across from each other instead of a whole house with two separate bedrooms, no roaring fireplace, bookcases, or boardgames, a full kitchen with views of something other than a parking lot. David had set out a Thanksgiving themed table-setting and was easy to contact with any questions. He came and greeted us twice and was charming and pleasant. When we left he gave us a token of home-tinned salmon. We will definitely be back. This is one of the gems of AirBnB. The only improvement we could think of was if there was some way to play music; either a clock radio, or an iPod or cellphone dock, or - keeping with the vintage feel - a record player.

    Denise2016-10-09T00:00:00Z
  • David's place was really beautiful and relaxing with the mountains and stream right outside the back door. It was clean and the kitchen was very well stocked. I'd definitely recommend it, it was a great place to come back to.

We loved the down duvet on the nice bed and stayed cozy. The fresh muffins, fruit, and milk in fridge were great. She even made us a plate of chocolate-dipped strawberries for our anniversary with a handmade congrats sign! So thoughtful and yummy! Wifi worked well too. We also have our homemade jam, farm fresh eggs and produce for sale. One of the nicest hikes in the area can be accessed from the back door and it allows spectacular views of the town of Hope and the upper Fraser Valley as well as the confluence of the Fraser and Coquihalla rivers.
There are endless trails and hikes in the vicinity of Hope. We have a great outdoor store, Hope Outdoors, that can provide you with anything you need for an adventure in the great Canadian outdoors. We also have an awesome bookstore, almost worth the trip to Hope by itself. All used books are $2.00 each except for their fine selection of collectables. Hope also boasts one of the finest and best preserved cinemas, from the 50's, in the lower mainland. Though it is charming and antique in it's decor it also has digital picture and sound. The Blue Moose, our favourite coffee shop is a gathering place for both locals and visitors and the people of Hope love to mingle and give suggestions and tell stories. Just be careful, you might end up at the table chatting the day away with one of our many colourful characters.
  • We had a great time here. Lots of fun, great location, and Joe is very knowledgeable and helpful. Our son loved the chickens and ducks.

  • Joe's place was great! We stayed in the room with comfy king bed. Nice sheets and towels. Joe made us a delicious homemade breakfast. He is a great guy to chat with and has lots of interesting projects going on on his nice secluded property close to the scenic town of Hope. We enjoyed staying here, wish we could have had a little more time.

  • I loved to stay in Deergardshaven! It was the place I expecte(URL HIDDEN)kind of "real" Canada, calm, in the middle of nature, an organic farm with ducks and chicken and two friendly cats. Joe is a friendly and open-minded man and a great cook: His "10-Kilo-Sheppards Pie" was amazing and the dinner-talk was really interesting. I really want to come back and stay for more than one night. Thanks for a great experience!

  • Something different, a lovely room in a log cabin outside of Hope. He cooked us dinner and a nice breakfast. It's great just sitting on the front porch and looking at the mountains. We went to see the Tunnels and a few " Rambo " sights. The first one was filmed in and around Hope. Hope you make the effort and stop and stay with Joe in Hope. It was a great experience. Enjoy ! • It's dufficult to put our bnb experience at Joe's into words. Joe and his lovely wife are such kind, considerate and lovely people! We felt so welcome from the monent Joe oppened his door for us. His wife showed us around their interesting and beautiful property and Joe was the best chef ever! The meals and time we shared together were absolutely fantastic! These people are so inspiring, full of energy and have best stories to tell! Very special airbnb with so many things to do around also! They rent bikes, canoes, kayaks. There are many interesting trails around (some of which they made themselves!) and a beautiful lake. Our room with with a virw of Mount Hope which is spectacular. Amazing! Amazing! We are so happy to have met these lovely people. Thank you so much guys! If we're ever in B.C again, we're definitely going to stay with you again:) Justyna and Adrian

  • Joe was very friendly and welcoming to his rustic log cabin on a small farm just outside of Hope, BC. Very nice view of Mount Hope from our bedroom with the bedroom decorated with nice antique furniture. Not sure if it is included but we were treated to a tasty, fresh breakfast with farm fresh eggs, bacon and toast.

    Larry2017-07-29T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed ourselves. It was exactly what we were looking for. Rustic, relaxing and genuine. Joe and Danise were very kind and hospitable. Breakfast was superb for the 2 days that we were there. We also had an amazing dinner, pasta with a clam in a white wine sauce, with a Greek salad at a reasonable price. We would definitely return if in the area and rent a kayak or bike with the summer approaching.

The atmosphere was super pleasant. The breakfast was also delicious and very healthy! Paul and Corinna also gave us great recommendations on food as well as things to see/do in Hope. I greatly recommend! Thanks a lot! :)

Breakfast around a set table with the other guests was also a great idea. Be sure to make this a stopover on any trip to and from Vancouver!!!

  • We came to Hope for a weekend getaway, we checked in slightly later than the specified check in times, however this was never a problem. Paul made us very welcome on arrival and made us feel right at home. The Bed and Breakfast was lovely and very homey, the homemade breakfast also added to the wonderful stay. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing place to stay in hope. Thank You

  • Corinna and Ray were incredibly warm and earnest hosts. The whole experience was impeccable--communication, accommodation, and amenities. You'll have a lovely time at Evergreen. Breakfast waffles and omelette were wonderful. Everything you could have hoped for in Hope! ;-)

    David2016-07-30T00:00:00Z
  • Really enjoyed staying at Evergreen - good location, lovely room (we stayed downstairs in the Serenity Suite). Paul welcomed us, showed us around, recommended Othello Tunnels (we really enjoyed this) and a local restaurant (great food) - and left us to enjoy ourselves until breakfast. And breakfast was delicious - enjoyed chatting to some other guests from the UK and meeting Corinna! We only stayed one night but hope to go back for longer next time.

  • Mountain View is very spacious, clean and comfortable. It was easy to communicate with the hosts and they were very cooperative. It was pretty hot outside, so we were very pleased with the air-conditioning in the living room and with the fans in the bedrooms. The View is very beautiful. We definitely recommend this condo!

  • Mountain View is beautiful! The suite is large and exactly as pictured. It's just off the main road through Hope and a 2-3 minute drive to Wallace Street (the area with the most shops and restaurants). Hope itself is beautiful with amazing mountain and river views. Lue was great with communicating and offering ideas for places for eat and things to do! We definitely recommend this suite if you're headed to/through Hope!

Well stocked, especially in the kitchen, as well as ample room for us to live comfortable. The smart tv also allowed us to enjoy movies at night! Would definitely recommend and book again!

  • We had a great experience at Mountain View. Our host went out of her way to welcome us and even left a personal note and some bottles of gatorade for our daughter who was running a big race the next day. The apartment was beautifully appointed, a welcoming, comfortable home base for our weekend activities. Thank you!

  • This condo was perfect for our needs! It was close to town and restaurants and allowed us privacy and comfort. It got a little bit warm for us, but we are used to AC. Once we opened the windows and allowed the breeze to flow through the condo at night, things cooled down considerably! The condo also had a beautiful view of the mountains! Would definitely stay here again!

The Perfect Pine is decorated with pine wood and wilderness pictures. It is small, cozy and comfortable. The scenic mountain view is beautiful. The cabin has a small fridge, cooktop, sink and preparation counter. Also has a 1/2 bath. There is a shower in a different building. There is a bar stool table for two. A light breakfast is available adjacent to the cabin.
This cabin is tucked away in a private area of the property. It is quiet and easy to come and go without distractions from other guests or visitors. It is an off grid homestead type retreat. We even cut our own lumber.
Our closest neighbour is at the Othello exit. We are surrounded by many campers, gold panners, hikers, and day trippers.
  • We thought the cabin was very cute. Nice & clean. Really enjoyed the campfire you provided and the good chats. The cabin has a big window which makes it feel bigger than it is. Window and screen door provided good cross ventilation. This b&b is just off the highway by a lovely river They are building on to their retreat but were careful to work quietly while we were there. Thanks.

    Denise2017-07-04T00:00:00Z
  • The Perfect Pine is genuinely perfect. The area is great, with three hiking trails and a beautiful river only two minutes away, and with the cabin itself decorated to be as cozy as possible. The entire place is actually a camp, meaning there's a whole array of wooden benches, firepits and painted rocks placed beautifully into the mossy paths all around, and it makes for a really quiet, scenic experience. Would definitely reccomend.

Cabin Feaver is our vacation home away from home in a gated community. We love the serenity of the surrounding area and invite you to stay at Cabin Feaver to check out this amazing spot. There is no cell service. The kitchen is all set up for all you need as well as a BBQ and we just finished the outdoor patio that has a fire pit (June 2017) The cabin is brand new that has 3 furnished bedrooms equipped with bedding and 1.5 bathrooms and is just moments away from trails and tranquility.
Cabin Feaver is among other cabins in Huckleberry, a gated community with privacy from other neighbors just North of Hwy 3 in the heart of Sunshine Valley.
Less then 15 minutes from Hope, Cabin Feaver is a quiet, yet close getaway from the city life in Vancouver.

But it was a perfect little stop for us to spend the night on our road trip! Can't wait to head back out there and enjoy all the place has to offer!!! The instructions left were so helpful!!! As well as the neighbor who was there to let us on after our late arrival! Very grateful for how you accommodated us!!

  • Fantastic cabin. Spotlessly clean, very nice, and very quiet. We really appreciated the thoughtful little touches like a wide variety of games to play, a telescope for the kids to look at the stars with and a well stocked first aid kit (thankfully not used).

    Jude2017-03-19T00:00:00Z
  • What a beautiful home in a secluded, gated community! The home felt immediately cozy and inviting. There was a lot of snow when we arrived, so the fireplace was exactly what we needed to warm right up! The home was also very clean. The master bedroom was spacious. The other two bedrooms (each with a single and double bed) were quite small, but that only added to the rustic feel of the place. I'd recommend this charming cabin to anyone looking for a quiet getaway. Thanks, Eve! :D

A cozy new bi level cottage in beautiful Sunshine Valley, BC. 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, laundry, dish washer, and fully furnished.
Our place has a nice large living room space where the whole family can interact, play games, watch TV, or just relax. The kitchen is fully stocked with all the cooking utensils you will need in addition to spices, coffee, and tea. There are laundry facilities should you need them and extra bedding. We have a great fire pit out back and a nice chimnea on the front porch so you can enjoy an evening fire listening to the frogs in the march across from the house in the spring.
  • The place was excellent. Very clean and as described. Craig was great with communication and gave us a lot of great info on the area as well. I would recommend staying here, it's a great location to explore Manning Park from.

  • I've been renting in this area for nearly 5 years now, and I am NEVER disappointed. The people in the community are fantastic and the cabins I've stayed in are pristine. Excellent use of space, even for someone 6' 1" trying to fit into showers, etc...lol I really appreciate finding a cabin in such pristine shape that allows me to bring a group of 6-8 to an area close to Manning Park. Thank you!!

  • We had a great stay at this beautiful spot! Thanks Craig!

    Julia2016-04-25T00:00:00Z
  • Craig's place was great! It was very quiet, and clean. Craig provided us with a map so we didn't have a hard time finding the place. One thing to note is that it's a private community, so you have to open a gate before getting in. The only thing we totally didn't plan ahead for was that the place doesn't have reception, so as we were going with 2 cars at different times, we had to guess-timate what time the other party was coming so we could open the gate for them (something to plan ahead in the future, I guess!) The place had a good amount of bedrooms, and bathrooms, and very clean and homey! Would definitely love to stay again. The only thing that was a little inconvenient was that we had to pick up the keys at Craig's place in Burnaby, which definitely was a hassle because we had to double back to drop it off at his place in Burnaby on the way back. We live in Downtown Vancouver, which was okay because at least it was on the way, but I can imagine it being not-so-convenient for those who don't live along the way.

    David2017-06-06T00:00:00Z
  • If you need to have a break from the city and find some peace and quiet with friends or family, this is the right place! There is plenty of hiking paths and parks at a short-driving distance, and the house is big and cozy at the same time. For big groups of international travels, make sure to have a clear plan to arrive there, specially if you don't have cell phone. There is a bit of logistics to sort - the hosts will explain very clearly - but it can be tricky if you don't a constant form of communication (we are just to used to have internet all the time). Please don't let the above comment stop you from booking here (just have a clear plan). The place is fantastic and we had a wonderful time! Thanks!

    Roberto2017-06-16T00:00:00Z
  • We loved staying in this cabin in the woods. Quiet, comfortable house with enough space for our 2 families travelling together.

    Henda2017-07-20T00:00:00Z
  • Everything as expected. Apparently there were rodent issues around the lodge area, but we didn't see any (we kept all food in the fridge, took our garbage, etc.). Norm and Barb were forthright about this issue which we appreciate. They also did as much as could be expected of them though on this (there were traps in places that you don't notice, there was a sonic noise generator thing that was supposed to repel rodents). Some of my crew mentioned the beds weren't that good (mattresses not firm enough) but that's pretty minor. Overall everything was pretty good and as expected. Thanks for the overall pleasant experience.

It is located only 2 hours from Vancouver and 15 minutes from Hope in the pleasant Sunshine Valley neighbourhood.

  • The cabin was very beautiful and Gord was super helpful with explaining the ins and outs of the cabin. Definitely would like to come back for a longer stay!

  • Corinna was very timely with her correspondence, and everything went smoothly with registration and organizing things. In fact, from the beginning to the end, the entire experience was absolutely wonderful! Sadly, my failure to anticipate weekend traffic, accidents, and my car's inability to go beyond 162 kph to make up for lost time caused us to arrive late at the gate. Fortunately we were finally able to get in touch with Corinna, and Gord met us at the gate with a big smile. Gord is a great guy, a genuine person with a good heart. His love for the outdoors, sense of community, and devotion to the Airbnb cottage made the weekend very personable and quite memorable. Reading descriptions in Airbnb, Expedia, or anywhere can easily be rather tenuous, filtering for the degree of interpretation needed to understand someone else's "creative" writing style. However, the descriptions provided by Corinna & Gord are very succinct and accurate, which are equally reflected in the endearing positive reviews. I originally thought there would only be a few cottages near a lake, but I was pleasantly surprised to discover an entire village. There must be at least 30-40 cottages nestled behind the treeline in a close nit gated community. It was absolutely adorable driving down the dirt lanes and being able to examine each cottage or trailer. It was an eclectic array of personalities characterized through their secret retreats. I would love to go back and see everything in the winter time, with snow and all the decorative lights on display!

    Shawn2016-05-03T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful off the grid spot. Hidden away location in a somewhat residential setting. Great if you have motocross, quads, or snowmobiles in the winter.

Only 2 hrs from Vancouver, our log cabin in a village has 3 levels, ( main, lower with the bedrooms, and a loft), 2 sun decks, 3 bdrms (1 Queen, 2 double beds) and a loft that is great for kids, with a Queen futon and extra foamies. There are 2 bathrooms, a wood burning fireplace, infra-red sauna, Wifi, dishwasher and more. The cabin is in a little village of other cabins so you'll have neighbours. It's not isolated - more like a mountain village than the countryside.
Summer or winter, there is always lots to do. Deer are around every corner and lots of birdwatching. Perched on the edge of Manning Park, our log cabin in the mountains is in a great area for walking, hiking, mountain biking, fishing, skiing, canoe/kayaking, snowboarding. The area is a little village of about 200 homes, so neighbours are close by, but they are all very private if you want privacy, and accommodating if you need something suddenly. The house is on a mountain sort of built on a slant. As a result, there are four floors (lots of stairs), though only three floors of living space. The basement is for laundry, tools and storage.
We are in a little mountain resort style village of about 200 cabins. It's a mountain community more than the countryside. Neighbours are close by. It's close to Hope for shopping, yet out in the country if you want to get away. You can hike, mountain bike and nordic-ski close to the cabin, or go to Manning Park, which is about 40 minutes away (to the downhill ski area - closer if you want to hike). Paddling and fishing are 5 minutes away, and there are lots of walking and hiking trails.
  • This is a wonderful cabin with beautiful views, very well equipped and conveniently situated for hiking in E.C. Manning Provincial Park and the trails around Hope. Ann is a very helpful and considerate host. I really cannot find any fault with this perfect Airbnb.

    Britta2017-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • Exactly how cabin is represented in description everything spot on Thank you Ann

    Gary2017-09-04T00:00:00Z
  • This cozy well equipped cabin surprisingly has lots of spaces to enjoy. It is in a community of log homes nestled in trees on the mountain. Beautiful area to explore. We loved it here.

    Linda2017-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • I lived here for the entire summer and it was a great place. Very cozy, nice extra features like heated bathroom & kitchen floors and a sauna in the bathroom. The wood stove was great. The loft is an awesome extra space. The deck below has gorgeous views. The neighboring cabins are very close, but luckily the owners of the other cabins were very rarely there, so most of the time it felt like we had the entire end of the street to ourselves. There wasn't much in the way of hiking trails right in the area, but the logging road was great for going on runs. If you are an ATVer/dirt biker, this area has tons of ATV trails all over. Manning Park was a bit of a drive (40 min or so), but is really beautiful once you get there. My only minor complaint is that there is a lot of stuff in the cabin, and despite it having quite a bit of square footage, there isn't a lot of open space. I'd say the loft is the only area with a bit of free space. Conversely, between the 3 bedrooms and the loft, it can probably sleep 6+ people comfortably (although there were only 2 of us and 2 cats for the summer). Ann & Larry were great all summer, they were super helpful and let me do more than is typical for an airbnb renter - including letting me use their printer & home phone (which was important given there's no cell service in the area), let me use the mailbox for a home address for the summer, etc. Overall I'd definitely recommend staying here if you want to spend some time in a cozy cabin with gorgeous views!

    Evin2015-08-31T00:00:00Z
  • Great place, much bigger than expected! It's spacious, modern and the bedrooms on the top floor and basement have a huge difference in temperature which is great for those who like it warm or cool at night. The only thing missing from this cottage was a yard, though there is plenty of balcony space which is where you get the only view of the mountains from the cottage. We really enjoyed it a lot! Very cozy and relaxing!

    Chris2017-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • Ann's place was awesome. We wanted to find a place big enough to suit a family get together that was close to a halfway point from Vancouver and Kelowna. Ann's cabin was quite a bit larger than I expected and the was very impressed by the set up was very comfortable. The neighbourhood was quiet and the view off the back patio was fantastic. My mom was blown away as to the views and size of the surrounding mountains. I don't have tons of experience renting from airbnb but Ann was the best host we've had. She left us a nice welcome gift and even supplied brand new snowshoes that we used at nearby Manning Park. She was kind enough to wave a movie rental fee that occurred when my 4 year old nephew snagged the controller. Internet was great, lots of movies, music and the wood stove was amazing. Very well stocked kitchen. I would stay here again for sure. Be prepared for a very steep road to access the cabin, no problem for 4x4 but the other vehicle in our party had a very tough time getting up the icy hill, even with snow tires.

    Andy2016-01-24T00:00:00Z

Enjoy ATV and snowmobile trails accessible from the cabin. Also skiing and snowboarding at manning park is close. Or just relax, enjoy. Wifi Netflix included
  • What an amazing place! Beautiful, clean, and modern suite in a cabin. The hosts were very friendly and accommodating and had great recommendations on what to do in the area. We didn't spend much time indoors, but the suite was so cozy that I could definitely see myself spending more than a weekend there. Lots of great outdoor activities in neighboring Manning Park. One of the highlights is no cell service in the area! Enjoy the time unplugged surrounded by beautiful nature.

Have you ever slept in an octagon cabin along the river? Well now you will get an opportunity to do that! Our place is great for couples and families. The resident woodpecker, Knotty, is sitting in the tree out front, waiting to welcome you to our cabin in Sunshine Valley. Sit on the deck with your morning coffee and listing to the Sumallo River along with the birds waking and watch the sun rising over the hilltops. After breakfast walk along the stream bank up to the big bridge that takes you onto a forestry road that will lead you to endless choices of paths and trails to follow. Be aware the downstairs fireplace is in the centre of the hallway. There are nightlights available to guide you during the night so that you do not encounter the stove on the midnight run to the fridge. You will want to ensure your little ones do not touch the stoves!
  • The Octagon was perfect for our extended family, a beautiful location next to the river, nature trail, and forest, close to Manning, comfortable with lots of space. Plus Monica ordered up snow and we enjoyed a winter wonderland!

    David2016-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful location beside the river. Big place, plenty of room and comfy. Loved feeding the squirrels and stellar jays. So peaceful!

    colene2017-07-13T00:00:00Z
  • This place is great for large groups and Monica was very responsive to our questions leading up to our stay. The kitchen had MANY more supplies and cookware than any other Airbnb rental that I have booked before and it made it so much easier to make our own food - plus there's an amazing grill on the patio. No wifi and cell reception was a welcome relief for a group of busy working professionals - this may be an issue for some, but we certainly took advantage of the quality time with friends.

    Jamil2017-07-16T00:00:00Z
  • My family and I loved staying at Monica's house in Sunshine Valley. It was in a great location: quiet and near the river. The house is also incredibly spacious and well stocked. We had everything (and more) that we needed in the kitchen and bathroom. Monica was also very responsive and quickly answered my many questions.

    Brianna2017-09-03T00:00:00Z
  • It's a very spacious and comfortable cabin, with nature at its back door. There is a beautiful river that runs along 10 meters from the house. Very secluded area. Perfect for those who'd like to get as close to nature in a comfortable setting.

Rich history with a beautiful British Columbia backdrop. The Teague House Bed & Breakfast is known as a true gem in the Fraser Canyon, both for relaxation and connection to nature. The food is incredible too.
The Teague House is a historical home built in 1864, nestled in the Fraser Canyon in Yale, British Columbia. It boasts a deep and colorful history beginning in the gold rush era, and continues today as a lovingly restored and cared for bed and breakfast.
The Fraser Canyon and surrounding areas have an incredible variety of activities for the active explorer, history enthusiast and nature loving visitor. Only a two-hour drive from Vancouver, British Columbia, Yale and it's neighboring areas offer a landscape rich with waterways and mountain trails. Four unique and different rivers are within your reach including the Fraser River which winds along the highway, along with the Thompson, Nahatlatch and Coquihalla rivers as well.
  • Susan was a fantastic host, she even accomodated us as we reached late. House has beautiful mountains backdrop, and the grounds are awesome. They have great barbeque area and I had a few friends camp in the garden and we had a big fire. All the staff there are really friendly. Breakfasts are most amazing including pancakes. House is close to the train tracks, but they were no problem to us as we slept very sound. Also she had many games and historic artefacts that we enjoyed a lot.

    Viren2016-07-25T00:00:00Z
  • A fantastic home! We felt like we're in a movie. Thanks for having us.

    Adam2017-08-02T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay at the Teague House - a quaint, historic home perfectly decorated and in an ideal mountain wilderness location (but still very close to civilization!). Susan and Darwin were lovely hosts, going above and beyond to ensure our stay a delightful one!

  • Susan was a fantastic host, the photos don't do this house justice, it is beautiful, and the grounds are awesome. I had a few friends camp in the garden and we had a big fire, and were no doubt were a little noisy, and Susan was great. All the staff there are really friendly. Highly recommend, and will be back. Also other reviews are right, the breakfasts are amazing. I would just say take some ear plugs as the house is close to the train tracks, as all houses in Yale are, they didn't bother me, I thought they added to the weekend.

    emma2015-09-28T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time at Susan's Place. She is very nice and warm! There is so much too see at the Teagun House. The kids had a fun time at the huge back yard. Nice place!

    Doris2017-08-13T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely house with a great view of the train and Fraser River, on a large lawn with a lot outdoor activities that can be done (volleyball, campfires, bocce, etc.) The beds upstairs give flexibility for either small or mid-sized groups, with couples or singles. Would definitely recommend to anyone who wants to experience the sights and sounds of the Fraser Canyon for a weekend.

    Justin2017-07-23T00:00:00Z
  • The house is incredible, we could have spent days checking-out the antiques, games and reading collections. The porch is great just to relax with wonderful mountain views although I would like to see the river when the leaves fall in the winter. The wifi only really available in the kitchen but that's ok since there is a lot do anyway and time to disconnect. Breakfast was fantastic too with everything homemade including blueberry topped corn pancakes and pears from the yard. I even saw a bear on my way back from the river shoreline. Of course, the trains vibrating the house throughout the night could be tough for some...

  • Harrison Lakehouse was stunning and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. The house and the scenery are really beautiful and I would recommend this place itself to anyone. However, I ran into some issues dealing with the management. Payment was difficult right from the beginning as I was charged for the full amount rather than simply being charged for the deposit, and was overcharged as well. Then additional costs continued to be added on after the fact, which I am still dealing with unfortunately.

  • Elsa maintained great lines of communication throughout this whole process, from when I initially booked, leading up to arrival (with clear instructions for arrival), and during my stay. She even provided recommendations according to what I had told her I was interested in doing during my stay. The house is a little bit hard to find at night, but the house itself is very well kept with a nice back yard/patio area and a charming renovated private suite. There was a relatively minor situation we had with the suite, but Elsa was quick to respond and did her best to rectify the situation. Overall, Elsa was a great host and went above our expectations to enhance our stay in Harrison.

    Jessica 2016-08-29T00:00:00Z
  • Francisco and Elsa are very welcoming and went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. Elsa has great attention to detail and noticed I drink tea so made sure there was milk in the fridge and extra tea bags for breakfast. The room was very comfortable and the towels and bed linen were very soft. The small continental breakfast was excellent and the facilities in the room were great. The room he a lovely coffee maker, tv and beautiful bathroom with nice soaps to use. This was a great place to stay in to visit Harrison as long as you have a car.

  • This was a lovely place for a vacation! The room is positioned to stay cool in the hot Harrison Springs summer, the breakfasts Elsa made (yoghurt parfaits) were delightful, and the bed was so comfy! She even brought in a cot for us when it turned out my mom kicked to much in her sleep, lol. I would highly recommend this location.

  • This house is amazing! In a great location in Harrison hot springs. We had a beautiful view of the lake, amazing hosts who went above and beyond to make our stay wonderful. We had breakfast every morning, the softest bed sheets and towels I have ever used, and tons of space for my husband and I. We will certainly be back. Thank you so much

    Amy2016-04-10T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful cosy clean room and ensuite shower room on a quiet road. Elsa was so lovely. The yoghurt breakfast was delicious. It was walking distance along the lake from Harrison Hot Springs (about 40 minutes), but there were no street lights along the road, so probably best not to do after dark. HHS is very safe though.

    Kim2017-09-11T00:00:00Z
  • Elsa and Francisco were really nice and kind hosts and we really enjoyed staying with them in their lovely suite. What can we say? The Airbnb was exactly as described, after a little troubleshooting the internet worked as well. Everything about the BnB was very professional and made us almost feel like we were in a hotel - especially the breakfast of yoghurt and fruit :) Communication with Elsa also was great and she was always happy to help and made sure we had a good stay.

  • Elfinlau is one of the coolest places I've been. We chose this location as an "off-the-grid" retreat from Seattle, based on the beautiful photos, the friendly description, and the interesting fact that it's on an island. It's even better than we expected. The natural setting is perfect. Elfinlau is a fairy-tale retreat, painted purple and nestled between rocky, tree-covered cliffs. The entire complex overlooks the lake, which is viewable from the many balconies, and even from bed. On top of the magical setting, Ray and Marcella are incredible hosts. It was so awesome to get to know them and hear the history of Elfinlau. On our last night, they even fired up the Nordic-style sauna! Thanks for everything, and we will definitely be back next year!

  • Absolutely unique in many ways. My girlfriend and I wanted something off the grid, and this was it (without going too far from home). Beautiful flowers everywhere, well-maintained and clean in all regards including higher end BBQ and well stocked kitchen. We stayed in the Homestead (got lucky/upgraded) but saw that the original Hummingbird place looked comfy and clean. All places had magnificent views. Persons with physical issues should discuss this with the host/hostess prior to booking as there are a number of stairs to navigate when getting around... We loved the seclusion and telecom shortcomings. And we will go back again! Ray and Marcella made us feel at home from the start. Great!

  • If you are looking to escape into nature, get off the beaten trail and just enjoy nature, enjoy a wood fired sauna and a jump in the lake, look no farther. Our stay was awesome. If you are a can't live with out a screen bring a lap top but don't be surprised if you never open it.

    Craig2016-11-20T00:00:00Z
  • The host canceled this reservation 6 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.

  • Beautiful experience that everyone should have an opportunity to live even just for a couple nights.

    Tricia2017-06-22T00:00:00Z
  • If you're looking for off the grid, this is the place for you. The location is remote, the scenery is picturesque and Ray and Marcella are perfect hosts. There is a small 15 minute hike on the island up to a lookout point, a kayak you can borrow as well as a lovely finish style sauna that if you're lucky Marcella and Ray will set up for you (it's divine). Other than that it's nice and quiet so bring a good book or two (also, there is internet, but no wifi) FYI: no electricity (everything runs on solar, gas or is wood burning - which means no electrical outlets), in my room (not sure about the others) there was no microwave or oven so make sure that any food you bring will be stove top friendly. I had an amazing time and will surely be back!!

    Amy2017-06-15T00:00:00Z
  • Marcella & Ray were amazing hosts. They were very kind and were there if we needed anything but also gave us the perfect amount of space. Their island is absolutely beautiful and pictures do not do it justice. We had an amazing time, and will defiantly be going back!

  • Beautiful cozy home! Loved that it was walking distance to the little down town area. Would highly recommend!

    McKenna 2017-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • Great Airbnb in quiet area but 5 min walk to lake. Nicely fitted out and host (Bree) communicated very well and was very obliging. Highly recommend if you want a private stay in Harridon.

    Selig2017-06-09T00:00:00Z
  • Beautifully decorated house in the most desirable location. It is two short blocks to the beach and town in a quiet neighborhood. You have the best of both worlds! Close to town but away from all the noise on weekends. The house is very clean and modern inside. It was stocked with everything we needed. We had a great long weekend stay.

    Stacey2017-09-04T00:00:00Z
  • Our host Bree doesn't live in the house but she thoughtfully left a welcome card and warmed the house before our arrival so we feel extremely welcomed. We're very lucky to be the first ones to stay in this tastefully renovated house. It got everything we need: a full kitchen with stainless steel high-end appliances, spices, utensils, pots and pans, so we saved lots of money on eating out (with being in this small town not many dining options either). It comes with washer and dryer, so we can dry our clothes after a day out in the snow! Everything else is exactly as described = ) We'll definitely come back in the summer time again. This is a great place for family. High recommended!

    Kimmy2016-12-19T00:00:00Z
  • This place is GORGEOUS and so close to everything you'd want to do and see in Harrison. My only complaint is that you can hear the tenants downstairs.

    Adriene2017-01-08T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent location, beautiful house, and the hosts are extremely friendly! Will try to make this a bi annual trip

    Matt2017-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • The place was great! so close to everything in Harrison.

    Zaid2017-04-09T00:00:00Z
  • Bree's place was perfect for our weekend getaway with our friends. The house is in a quiet neighbourhood, close walking distance to Harrison's village. The home is spacious and modern; the kitchen offers all the amenities and utensils needed to cook a big meal. The big deck has a barbecue, a large table and long chairs. The backyard is very large; perfect for playing bocce with your friends or hanging with the dog. Everything was clean and tidy when we arrived. Bree was very easy to communicate with and an accommodating host. I would rent this place again without hesitation next time we go to Harrison.

Stay here and enjoy the comfort and convenience of my newly renovated beach front apartment. Take in the splendor of the lake and mountains from the breakfast bar. Great food and drinks are only steps away but the location is very private and quiet.
Free parking, ground level with easy beach access.
  • Lore's place is now one of our favorite spots. The apartment is as comfortable as can be with the best bed, shower and fabulous location. It felt like our home for the 4 days. We cooked all our meals in a user friendly kitchen and had a deep rest from our busy lives. We're looking forward to returning and recommend this Airbnb to everyone. The town of Harrison Hot Springs is a delight and Lore's place is a short walk away but very quiet and private. Lore is happy, helpful and fun.

    Suzi2017-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • Room was as advertised. Lore is a friendly and fabulous host. Great water pressure in the shower! Perfect for our family reunion weekend where we really just needed a place to sleep closeby to Harrison hotsprings.

We couldn't have asked for a better location, right across the road from the lake and within walking ditance of all the best food and attractions. Check in was easy and Lore was awesome and accommodating. Huge thanks to Lore for her part in our perfect anniversary weekend!

  • Had a good weekend at Lore's

    Amanda2017-04-16T00:00:00Z
  • Right away Lore had food suggestions which was great! Super understanding about our late arrival and was really informative when we got there. Fully supplied coffee supplies, bottles of water and everything was clean and tidy! Super comfortable bed, soft sheets and fluffy towels!! The location is superb-far enough down the strip so at night it's peaceful and close enough still to walk to any of the amenities. It's the perfect little getaway spot!

Our Home is truly a retreat, it is on the edge of the village of Harrison Hot Springs which is on the shore of Harrison Lake surrounded by mountains. After a great day of playing on the beach, boating, hiking, soaking in the healing hot springs and exploring the village, coming home to your own quiet sanctuary is the perfect way to end the day. Enjoy discussing your shared adventures over a great meal made in our brand new kitchen. After dinner watch a movie or play a game of pool.
Our place is a comfortable place to unwind after a busy life of work and responsibilities. There are three bedrooms with very comfortable beds (after sleeping in many hotels with uncomfortable beds, we know that a good night sleep is the difference between a great vacation and an ok vacation), 2 1/2 bathrooms so there is no lineups, localized air conditioning/heating so that the temperature in your room is just the way you want it, and a pool table at which you can play and reconnect with friends and family. The kitchen has everything you need to be creative and to continue connecting over food. There are lots of DVD's, games, and books. There are toys for kids, a crib for babies, a high chair, a baby gate and BBQ. The beach/village is only a 5-10 minute walk away. It has everything you need to have a great getaway.
A really great feature of our neighbourhood is that just across the street (Hot Springs Rd.) is an elementary school with a great play ground. Also for the older crowd there is The Old Settler Pub, a log pub with a great patio overlooking the Miami River.
  • Booking this property was my first time using Airbnb and the hosts, David and Ruth has made it such a convenient and pleasant experience. The property was a 5 to 10 minute walk to the beach where we enjoyed a lovely family picnic and rented a boat for the day. After a fun day in the sun we came home to this beautiful house and spent some time relaxing and playing some pool and cards. I would definitely recommend this place to anybody whose wanting to stay in Harrison. It exceeded my expectations and I look forward to booking it in the near future. Overall a 5 stars all around. :D

  • Dave was a wonderful host! He provided clear communication prior to the stay and also responded to questions and concerns extremely quickly. The home itself was extremely clean and well equipped with all kinds of cutlery and appliances. All the dvds and Netflix was great to have as it was a great way for us to wind down after a long day at the beach. The location of the home is also convenient, as it is a 10-15 min walk from the main area and the beach. The beds were also super comfortable which allowed us to get a good nights rest!

    Civia2017-07-16T00:00:00Z
  • A beautiful home that is conveniently located. A short walk to restaurants, hot springs and lake was a welcome benefit. Dave maintains a clean home with great amenities. In addition, Dave was very responsive and was very friendly. I would highly recommend.

    Kyle2017-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • My friends and I had a wonderful weekend at David's beautiful home. The place was clean and well stocked. It was in a convenient location-- just a few minutes walk from the lake and drive away from the local grocery/produce store. Appreciated that the grill was available for us to use. Would definitely come back here if we are ever in Harrison again.
