“Pine street serves Nossa coffee (Portland roasted) and is the best spot for a fast, or grab and go breakfast. I am particularly fond of their cinnamon roll, unfrosted yet all the rolls are gooey-cinnamon perfection. ”

“Is the coziest coffee shop around and a local favorite. Spacious seating makes this a good location for travelers who need WiFi and a quiet place to work, while simultaneously being the best place for families with young children. Dog River proudly serves Stumptown Coffee, has a $4.00 breakfast burrito and a play area for small children. ”

“Stoked roasts in house, using a roasting machine so beautiful it’s on display. You can drink your coffee and watch new batches being made. Local tips about Stoked: 1. They offer bulletproof coffee 2. It’s near the water so it’s a great place for coffee and a stroll by the river. ”

Bar
“This is, as far as I now, Hood Rivers only Cider Bar. A pub will usually have a couple of guest cider taps, this place has a couple of guest beer taps. All the rest Ciders. I don't know of anyplace that offers more tastes of ciders anywhere. They have great snacks as well. But a little local secret is that New York City Sub is two doors down, and you can get a sandwich to eat while you try a few of the Crush selection. They have a lot of Cider in bottles as well. ”

“SUMMARY: Make your way east through downtown Hood River to the end of Oak Street, before it bends, you will find this unique Hood River spot- Ground Espresso Bar. COFFEE: They roast their own coffee, and it is truly special. Espressos are as rich and dark as liquid ebony, and thick like molasses. This is where ordering a single shot of espresso (instead of a double) has ever made any sense! Still, go ahead with a double... FOOD: They bake their own pastries, and make sandwiches to order. All very fresh with edgy flavorful ingredients. AMBIANCE: This is a very hip retro 1950's style café, conducive to long stays after many mugs of coffee. It has nice big south-facing windows.”

“Great pub style food; burgers, sandwiches, fries, house-made soups. The food is simple and inexpensive, and the atmosphere is really laid back. More of a lunch place for us, evenings are more geared toward locals and entertainment. Small selection of tap beers, bottled beers, and cocktails. They typically have live music on the weekends and sometimes during the week.”
