Hidden Valley Lake Vacation Rentals

Just booked in Hidden Valley Lake

Casa de Cozumel is a beautiful Lakefront Home on Clear Lake just one hour north of the Napa Valley and 3 hours north of San Francisco. The lower floor apartment has a seperate entrance, bath, kitchenette and bedroom and fireplace sleeps 5 ($150.00 per night). There is private patio, bbq , firepit, dining area that our guests have exclusive use of. As of May 2017 we lost the use of the use of the sundeck, spa and dock to the winter storms. The kitchenette is small and is suitable for light use. There is no cook top but there are the following: compact under counter refer/freezer, sink, microwave, convection /toaster oven, coffee maker, blender, toaster, Cuisinart grill, electric frying pan, juicer, rice cooker, crock pot. Most people use the bbq to grill and make salads etc. There is a cooler outside for extra cold storage. We have one small 8' kayak available for our guests and you are welcome to bring your own kayaks, canoes and PWC. Due to the winter storms of 2017 we no longer can offer tbe sundeck, spa or dock.
It's all about the house and the lake. Most guests stay and dine at home. The town has a limited amount of restaurants and shopping.
  • Sorry about the late review. It's such a prefect spot to away from work and have fun! The lakeside view is fantastic and inside of house make you feel as relax as at home. Thank you so much Julia and Gianni for everything!

  • This house is amazing! It has a gorgeous view of the lake and many different areas to enjoy it. The house provides a secluded oasis for you to enjoy your stay. Plus, the home owners are very kind and generous people. I would definitely recommend staying here.

    Emmalena2015-07-26T00:00:00Z
  • Julia and Gianni have a really cute and quirky house. They immediately made us feel welcome as soon as we walked in by setting the table for us in Valentine's day theme. The house itself was large enough to sleep 11 people with 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms (both up and downstairs). There's also a back deck with a hot tub and it leads out to a dock with a kayak for us to use. We had such a good time at their house with the beautiful weather. Definitely recommend it if you're looking for a chill, low-key, and beautiful vacation spot.

    Shirley2015-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • There are no words that can adequately describe the kindness that Julia and Gianni showed. They went above and beyond to make us feel welcome by checking in before our arrival, leaving yummy breakfast treats, and calling to make sure that we arrived okay. We stayed in the bottom portion of their home and were impressed by the spaciousness and the breathtaking view. We would defiantly stay there again and have already told family and friends about their wonderful hideaway.

    Allison2015-12-06T00:00:00Z
  • Julia And Gianni LaRosa were very helpful hosts. They answered any questions we had promptly and were very friendly. The house was very cute. Right on the beautiful lake with a hot tub on the deck.

    Noah2013-11-12T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay here! The view of the sunset on the lake is magical and we were blown away with the little touches they made to make the stay great (like leaving some breakfast in the fridge for us to have in the morning!)

    Kara2017-08-21T00:00:00Z
  • Already from the description, pictures, and reviews of Julia and Gianni's place, we knew we would be in for a treat. These expectations were surpassed the moment we arrived, with a warm yet discreet welcome from Julia. Incredible views from a romantic and demure bedroom alongside a fun recreation room, kitchenette, and clean bathroom. Best place imaginable for a romantic getaway in the lake region, near many outdoor activities and vineyards. Thank you!

    Francesco Saverio2017-09-23T00:00:00Z
  • Julia and Gianni are incredibly nice hosts. They were really arranging and extremely helpful, even if we booked at the very last minute! Plus, the house is a dream to stay in: we had a wonderful weekend!

Breathing the freshest air in California, waking up to the sound of birds singing in the rhythm of water gently tapping the shore. On the deck for a sip of local wine, from the vineyard of Lake County, while you watching the magnificent sunset behind the unforgettable Mt Konocti. Gazing at the navy blue hue and the silver sparkle of the moonlight on the lake before bidding everyone goodnight..
Second floor apartment right on the water, close to the city center, park, shopping center, bars, restaurants ,hospital, police station and post office. Its a lake front property with private deck, ambiance and privacy. Perfect for vacation or overnight stay, equipped with all new appliances for you to feel at home. • Ben's place is absolutely gorgeous. The view is perfect and the appliances are nice and new! Ben is such a gracious host, taking the time to answer questions promptly and thoroughly. Highly recommended!

    Hanling2017-09-04T00:00:00Z
  • Overall, this location was an amazing find and great value. The lakefront view was incredible and made for a very relaxing and quiet retreat. While my girlfriend and I never met our host Ben in person, he was very communicative and easy to reach before and during our stay. Ben's friendly assistant, Carol, lived on the premises though and was available to help with anything if needed. At a general level, it was clear that Ben takes a lot of care to provide a welcoming abode. I told Ben beforehand that my girlfriend and I were celebrating our anniversary, and when we arrived we found chocolates, a bottle of wine, and rose petals scattered around the apartment. Quite remarkable service, and definitely a first in all of our AirBnb experiences. I realize he doesn't do this for every guest, but we appreciated the generous gesture and it set a very positive tone for the rest of our stay. I'd highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a weekend retreat with a beautiful view and relaxing atmosphere. Will definitely visit again!

    Scott2016-11-13T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment is in a great location as far as the view and driveability to sites in the area, though the neighborhood is not the high end for Clear Lake. The neighbor downstairs is chatty and there's a friendly cat that lives in the complex. The bed is comfy and the neighborhood was quiet the nights we were there. The kitchen has basic supplies, but only had one pack of coffee and we stayed three nights.

    Allison2017-04-05T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful and quiet place to go to for some relaxation!

    Erica2017-08-27T00:00:00Z
  • Ben was so responsive and easy to coordinate with! The place was comfy and safe, with everything we needed.

    Catherine2016-10-23T00:00:00Z
  • It's a nice place to stay with an amazing view of the lake to have some wine and lose track of time. The apartment is very clean and fully equipped.

    Guilherme2017-09-28T00:00:00Z
  • Very nice weekend getaway. AC in both rooms to keep cool in the summer. Clean and equipped kitchen + nearby grocery store allowed us to easily prepare our own meal.

    Annabelle2017-07-18T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment itself was great - clean, amazing views, comfortable and communication with Ben was prompt, polite and thorough. Clearlake as a place did not meet our expectations. We got really conflicting reports on whether or not we could swim with our kids there with several people saying don't do it under any circumstances. Wish I had known that before booking the place. We ended up heading to Cache Creek for a really great swim and hit Berryessa Lake on our way out of town. However, if you're looking to fish or paddle board take advantage of the dock and launching ramp on site. Enjoyed beautiful views from the private deck!

We are close to public boat launch and restaurants. We provide ample parking and a secure, well-lit location. If you need any assistance, we live on the same property.
Ours is a neighborhood of small one-family homes. Our property is the largest on the street. We are near Redbud Park, the public boat launch, and restaurants.
  • Mitch was lovely and so accommodating. we wanted to skip town for a night and get out of the city. Mitch was flexible with our arrival and check out time, unphased by a motorcycle pulling up after dark, and had stocked the house with all sorts of goodies. His little house is so cute and charming and it was the perfect place to get away and recharge. Mitch was a perfect host- he gave us space but was never too far away- and I can't say enough good things about our stay here. Would recommend to anyone looking to get out of town and see some stars at night! His feline ambassador was a delight as well. Thank you Mitch!

    Kathryn2016-09-21T00:00:00Z
  • Charming space just as described, much bigger than I thought and amazing sunset views from he backyard. Loved our stay and Mitch and Trish could not have been sweeter.

    Andria2017-09-09T00:00:00Z
  • Mitch is absolutely amazing! When we drove up at 7:00 p.m., Mitch welcomed us with enthusiasm and happiness! He is extremely charming and is a fantastic host! His wife, the truly beautiful Trish, is equally fun and again, charming. The cottage is quaint and artistic. Since both Mitch and Trish were in the Peace Corps there is African art mixed with antiques but in a most tasteful manner. Not cluttered in the least! The cottage was immaculate and stocked with breakfast foods of many types. The grounds are manicured and even in the dead of winter look very good. From the cottage there is a view of the mountains and the lake. We hope to come back again in the summer!

    Thomas2016-01-10T00:00:00Z
  • We had a fantastic experience. We will definitely be visiting this lovely cottage again.

    Jayson2017-03-27T00:00:00Z
  • Once again another really nice stay at Mitch and Trisha's place. Quiet, relaxing, comfortable and a gorgeous view of the mountains. And extra nice little things like good juice in the fridge and really delicious coffee.

    Jacki2017-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • Cozy cottage says it all. Comfy spot up the hill from the lake. Everything as promised. Unfortunately we missed Mitch - hopefully next time!

    Beth2017-09-10T00:00:00Z
  • Mitch and his wife were most wonderful. Their place by far has been one of my favorite stays. They were very accommodating when we showed up 2 hours late at midnight, and we are so appreciative. They went out of their way to provide us breakfast items and were right next door if we needed anything. House was clean and so homey. We had a great stay, and when I come back to the area I'll be for sure staying there again!

  • Arvand's home in Pope Valley was amazing. At first, we arrived with part of the house being a little dirty from the past tenants, but Arvand handled the problem extremely well and was able to clean the entire house the next day. The views from the house were gorgeous. We used the entire kitchen to prepare a few meals and everything that you would need was available. We also took advantage of the new BBQ grill and the hot tub, which both worked great. It was a great weekend and Arvand was definitely a responsive host. Thanks again!

    Jonathan2015-07-30T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time at Arvand's in Pope Valley. It really is the perfect escape from SF. We enjoyed the deck and the hot tub. Pope Valley Winery is cool, we took a tour of their cellar and grounds and really felt at home there. I wish I was there now!

    Alexandra2014-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely place, totally worth it. We had a great time and looking forward to going back soon.

    joaquin2014-04-18T00:00:00Z
  • What an amazing house to just get away from the city hustle and truly recharge your batteries. The hammock and the jacuzzi really take this property from "great find" to "a real gem". We will definitely be coming back to stay again! Arvand was a wonderfully responsive host and incredibly helpful.

    Sara2013-12-31T00:00:00Z
  • The house was the perfect space for four women on our first trip together. Lots of great open space. We didn't have the opportunity to take advantage of the back deck and just lounge and take in the beautiful view. It's just what you see in the photos. Sorry we weren't able to meet our host on this trip. When we initially arrived, we had a question and Arvand was very quick to help out. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

    Donna2015-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • Nice house in remote area on top of a hill. Very quiet around there with few houses nearby but otherwise pretty much off the beaten trail so a pretty good place to relax and enjoy a nice home cooked meal. Make sure you pack groceries going up there since a trip down may take over an hour.

    Dany2016-09-06T00:00:00Z
  • The host was very helpful and provided several recommendations for our visit.

    Rebecca2016-06-13T00:00:00Z
  • Arvand's place was perfect for a quiet getaway in Pope Valley. The property's quite spacious with a full kitchen and living area, large deck with a hammock, three bedrooms, a hot tub under the stars and excellent views of hillsides all around. I recommend getting there in daylight because your first time navigating the steep driveway could be scary at night. Arvand is also an awesome host, very communicative and responsive. Recommended.

  • Suze is a very welcoming and accommodating host. Our arrival was delayed by many hours causing us to arrive around midnight and Suze was accommodating nonetheless. The studio apartment space is connected to the main house, with a separate two door entrance to the front deck. It is private and well appointed with a washer/dryer which we availed ourselves to the morning after we arrived. We were very much looking forward to taking advantage of the hot tub however it was not working and did not become available to us until just before we planed upon leaving and then did not fit into our schedule. One unfortunate situation arose surrounding the keys to the apartment -- we were locked out the first morning we were there and it took a while to get us back in. That same evening, the keys provided did not work in the outside door to the house and we had to wait 20 minutes for Suze to return home to let us in - this inconvenience might not have been much of a bother had we not been traveling with a 8 yo who was frightened waiting on the front porch in the dark. The house is situated in a beautiful location up in the mountains however is not as close to the vineyards as was described. The closest vineyard was almost 50 minutes away due to the winding roads to get up and down. Cell service is spotty in the entire area and while WiFi is available, it was unreliable. The driveway is exceptionally steep and is very difficult to maneuver up and down. An inexperienced or intimidated driver will have problems negotiating the grade. I highly recommend this location for those who wish to take in the hiking and swimming holes in the immediate area (we did not have time in our schedule to do so) and wish a getaway. Bring supplies with you as the trek down is no less than 20 minutes on winding roads to the nearest local store.

    Jamie2014-08-28T00:00:00Z
  • Staying with Suze at her beautiful home in Cobb was an amazing experience. My boyfriend and I had the best time there and became such good friends with Suze and Brian. The house is nestled between mountains and the views from the room are wonderful. She was extremely sweet and friendly; we didn't feel like leaving. It was like gaining two amazing friends with whom we'd always keep in touch! Brian is such a sweet, helpful person. The apartment is cozy, warm and very well decorated. I would recommend Suze's place to anyone visiting Calistoga/ Napa for a great time!

    Deepthi2015-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • Suze made us feel so welcome with a guided tour and an offer of socializing or privacy during our stay. I'd recommend bringing some coffee and pastries for breakfast to sit out on the patio. Definitely make this a weekend stay, eat in Cobb at Mutt & Jess, then relax in this apartment in the forest.

    Julian2015-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Suze is a delight, the apartment is clean, peaceful and as advertised. We were able to enjoy a nice home cooked breakfast in the space - with the single burner, tiny fridge and dishwasher, it was clean, cozy and efficient! We look forward to returning.

    Amy & Rune2015-03-16T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay if your in the Cobb area. Our host Suze was amazing and we really enjoyed our stay!

    Jacob2016-09-09T00:00:00Z
  • This was my wife and my first Airbnb experience and it far exceeded our expectations. Suze and Scott were great hosts and made us feel welcome and at home. The studio was excellent and had all the amenities we needed, including washer and dryer. Suze and Scott were there when we had questions but also let us have our space. Our stay was so much better than a hotel of similar price and we hope to return soon.

    Daniel2015-04-20T00:00:00Z
  • Suze's place felt like living in a cottage in the forest. Definitely a place to relax. We enjoyed the hot tub in the evening, watching the stars. The apartment had everything we needed, and was nice and tidy. Suz and Scott were allso very warm and welcoming, and gave us good tips on what to do in the area and around. This place is highly recommended for people that just need some time to chill and relax.

    Toni2014-07-27T00:00:00Z
  • We had such a wonderful stay here. Suze was friendly, thoughtful, and accommodating. The apartment was impeccably clean. The property was lush and green. Flowers and forestry were all around us. The back deck with the hot tub provided serenity and relaxation. It was the perfect get-away for us. The surrounding area was quiet and charming. Great food and cute, unique shops in nearby Middletown. We will absolutely be back.

Experience one of the best views on the lake of Clearlake and Mt. Konocti from Jago Bay, Lower Lake. Enjoy the peace and serenity of Owl's Haven while taking in nature's show from sunrise to sunset. Spectacular views from every room in the house.
Views of Clearlake and Mt. Konocti from every room.
Older established neighborhood on country road setting, wooded, secluded dead end road.
  • House was great and exactly as described. Views from the master bedroom were absolutely spectacular both day and night. House was cozy and warm. Would stay again.

    John2016-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • The view was the best part. Carl's directions made getting into the house very easy. The road is a bit confusing, our navigation initially got us turned around. Carl was responsive and gave us all the right info. The house is outdated, but the view was spectacular and the Hulu/amazon on the TV was great. We used the heater, which was nice and warm. We didn't use the kitchen too much, but it was stocked with everything we would have needed. We weren't sure if the jacuzzi bathtub was working or not, but that would have been nice.

    Shelby2016-03-23T00:00:00Z
  • Carl's cabin is absolutely one of the most desirable place you want to be when staying at Clear Lake. The cabin is fully equipped and even though we had carefully studied the pictures before our trip we were impressed by the dramatic views that you have from that haven. The place is also suitable for kids and they enjoyed the lawn that is beside the cabin. This was a true nature experience and we want to thank Carl for trusting us to stay at his nice place!

    S.2016-04-09T00:00:00Z
  • Owls haven is truly a gem! My dad and I are former lake county residents, and coming up here was surely a treasure. The 360 views of the lake are an incredible way to start your day, or end your evening. Carl was amazingly accommodating! The rooms were very comfortable, with the master bed with an electric blanket, perfect for winter vacations. All in all we had a great experience, and highly recommend to anyone who wants a break from everyday work life. :)

    Samali2016-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • We loved the place. Beautiful view and everything looked nicer than the pictures. Would love to stay again.

    Shaun2016-08-01T00:00:00Z
  • This was our third time staying here. We love it! The views are amazing. Eating meals on the back porch and watching the sunset on the separate patio were so relaxing.

    Jesse2017-06-28T00:00:00Z
  • Carl was great host - communicated in a timely manner and with clear instructions. The house has some spectacular views of the lake and is close to top-notch wineries like Gregory Graham. Lake County is a bit further out than Sonoma and Napa, synonymous with Wine Country, but equally lovely if not more scenic. Definitely worth the extra mile if you want less crowded and probably more affordable accommodation too!

    Rocío2015-07-12T00:00:00Z
  • My girlfriend and I absolutely loved our stay. The house was great, with two bathrooms, a full kitchen, dining area, living room, and an extra room with a bed. The view is amazing. We loved hanging out on the separate deck to enjoy the sunsets every night. We're already talking about staying here again!

  • Bring your own bath soap and linens if you like to have clean towels. Also pack a bed pad as there is none in mattress unless you like sleeping on stained sheets directly on a mattress. Also bring a battery for faulty smoke detector.

  • Everything was very good and we enjoyed our stay at the studio. Thanks!

  • Even with the detailed direction, it's fairly easy to miss the main gate. The best part about the house is the view, and my boyfriend and I were able to sit outside with some wine and watch the sunset. Everything else went smooth, and Emily was responsive to communication. The only tiny complain is that our names were not in the guest list, but the guard was accommodating so not a very big deal..

    Ilina2017-04-15T00:00:00Z
  • Very relaxing environment. Don't let the neighborhood location fool you - it feels (and is) a very comfortable, secluded space. The view is awesome!

  • If you're looking for a nice, quiet retreat for a couple of nights with a commanding view of the lake, this is the place. The pictures are very accurate. If you are tall like me (6' 2") just watch your head for the decorative lamps hanging from the ceiling

    Matthew2017-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • Emily was a wonderful hostess. She gave detailed directions, recommendations for nearby eateries, and promptly communicated with us. A rejuvenating experience that was an artistically cultural and spiritual enjoyment. We will definitely be returning :)

    Violet2017-04-23T00:00:00Z
  • The host canceled this reservation 4 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.

    Daniela2016-07-11T00:00:00Z
  • We quite enjoyed Emily's cozy sanctuary. Everything was welcoming and thoughtfully placed to create a rejuvenating experience, and the panoramic view really helps you take in the special landscape there. She was very responsive and friendly to inquiries.

It is great for those who enjoy sitting in semi wild gardens buzzing with bees...who like stretching out on shady decks during the day and star-gazing at night. The kitchen is well stocked and fun to cook in. The white room is wonderful for yoga, meditation and cozy movie watching. The house is listed for 2 people however, I am willing to consider hosting larger groups.

  • What can I say that hasn’t already been said about the amazing “Angels Nest” and host Bridget? My wife and I stayed for a weekend getaway from the Bay Area… There was no detail overlooked in this sanctuary of beauty, simplicity and peace. Bridget has gone out of her way to prepare a complete experience of escape, and there is such attention to detail everywhere you look. The pictures undersell the experience by far… Everything about the decor and layout exudes a spa-like simplicity. The lack of clutter immerses you in relaxation. The nearby Hidden Valley Lake (a short hike down the hill) is beautiful and picturesque. Bridget was an excellent communicator: giving exact instructions via text/email and left detailed instructions on the table. We felt welcome immediately, and like we had a home away from home. The air conditioning and ceiling fans kept us cool from the searing heat outside. It was hard to leave. Whether you are looking for spiritual retreat or plain relaxation, the Angels Nest does not disappoint.

    Adam2016-07-25T00:00:00Z
  • Bridget was the most welcoming of hosts. We were in a bind - we had to cancel part of our trip due to wildfires in the area. We found the Angels Nest and Bridget was extremely responsive and flexible. She even had the AC fixed for us before we arrived. Angels Nest is in a lovely setting in the mountains by a lake about 20 minutes away from Calistoga. It is a challenging drive to get there through the mountains, so recommend doing it in the light. It is a very secure area. Her house is absolutely lovely with all the amenities. We were extremely comfortable there. I recommend it highly if you want an out of the way place in a beautiful, serene mountain setting.

  • "Angels Nest" is such an appropriate name for this relaxing, peaceful, and private space! It was so incredibly nice to have such a quiet, secluded, and tranquil space to come back to after long days in the sun at Bottlerock! Everything about her beautiful home is well thought out, has a wonderful flow and energy, and is aesthetically pleasing. From the beautiful art, fabrics and tapestries filling every room, or the peaceful serenity of the white yoga room, or the gorgeous calming outdoor garden--there was beauty and great energy everywhere throughout her home's space! And talk about cleanlines-- SPOTLESS! I'm a bit of a clean freak and was soooo pleasantly surprised and happy to find such a bright, clean, respected, well cared for space! Absolutely impressed by all of the eco conscious cleaning products for laundry and doing dishes! She really thought through everything we might have needed and we felt so welcomed! We were thrilled to be able to prepare some meals in her beautiful, modern, and spacious kitchen every morning! I was stoked to be able to compost our fruit rinds outside (I swear, it's the little things that make me happy)! Waste not! The community is very safe, well guarded, and quiet. Don't be put off or scared by a little bit of wildlife that you may come across (HVL is in the hills, after all)! Beautiful views of the surrounding mountains and lake! General store is only 7-10 min away, so it was convenient for anything we forgot for our stay. Awesome communication from Bridget too! She was the sweetest, most gracious hostess! I wish I could have met her to share my gratitude! I can't wait to have a chance to come back! Absolutely the best Airbnb experience I've had!

    Shireen2016-05-31T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay. The community is relaxing and serene siting above the lake. Woke up Saturday to hot air balloons over the lake and half a dozen deer enjoying themselves next door. The home has a quaint feel but is very open and has plenty of room. Bridget was a great host and accommodated us with short notice which was very nice. Response time was very timely and thorough. Would definitely consider staying again if I'm in the area!

    Chris2016-09-18T00:00:00Z
  • This is a sweet, clean and cozy place to stay. We were very happy for the convenience and privacy offered by such an ideal location. Looking forward to Harbin's revival!

    Katrina2017-04-09T00:00:00Z
  • Bridget's house is as just described. If you're look for a true get-away from it all, this is the place for you. It is in a very quiet neighborhood away from everything. A very peaceful and lovely setting. Perfect for a meditative, restorative weekend. The closest stores and restaurants are in Middletown about a 15 minute drive. Hardester's Market has an impressive selection of organic, natural and vegan foods. Bridget has a large selection of teas. If you're a coffee drinker, bring your own coffee. We enjoyed our stay.

    Vicki2017-04-30T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic stay! The garden was lovely and the whole space was wonderful and spacious. We really enjoyed our time there.

    Tom2017-05-11T00:00:00Z
  • Bridget’s place was absolutely perfect! If you're looking for somewhere wonderfully peaceful and quite, this is the place. The lake, just minutes away, is beautiful and perfect for relaxing, swimming, photography or just a stroll. Her home has the most lovely garden out back where you can just enjoy the stunning nature around you while stretching out in the morning. There's not one negative thing I could say about the experience. Perfect holiday.

  • Just as the listing read, this room comes with some of the most amazing views you could ask for. It has also been one of the most quietest and relaxing places I have ever stayed. I really like the safety and security of being in a gated community. Scott and Emily are extremely kind and gentle people who I would love to stay with on any relaxing trip.

  • Chelsea was super accommodating, communicative and flexible before we even made the reservation. The location is beautiful and close to town. It felt like home for the night.

    Karla2016-10-02T00:00:00Z
  • I had a great experience with Chelsea and her home with my three friends during our time in wine country. The roads getting to Hidden Lake were quite winding, so it was a bit of a hike to drive to/from Calistoga. However, once we got there we realized it was worth the trek! The home is large and serene, overlooking the lake, with a huge porch and unbeatable views. Chelsea made it easy to check in and was readily available with any of our questions/concerns. The beds were comfortable and the entire house was clean and welcoming. The community is close to a great coffee shop and grocery store for all of your needs. I highly recommend working with Chelsea and staying in her home! Thank you!

    Liana2015-10-26T00:00:00Z
  • Our family of 5 had a great family gathering at Chelsea’s place over the July 4th weekend. The house is very welcoming. We loved the high ceiling in the living room and the living room view is just gorgeous. We also enjoyed the refreshing essential oils Chelsea provided. We would love to come back again.

  • Great place for a Calistoga wine country get away! Beautiful patio and patio sofa provides for some truly breathtaking stargazing at night and wonderful vistas of the lake during the day. Can't recommend this highly enough!!

  • Easy and quick communication. Great location with a great view. Close to our family, which was why we picked the location. Clean and orderly and a great atmosphere at the house.

  • We had a great stay!

    Marcela2016-10-29T00:00:00Z
  • Gated community in Lake County has tons of amenities, fresh air, quiet and relaxing, non-touristy feeling of living in a friendly neighborhood. August (90's day heat, 60's night) is high season price and paid approx $400/night with pet fees, and would not hesitate to book again. Vacationing with a family and an elderly dog is tough. We avoided the Napa touristy region, the winding route 29 to and from Calistoga should not be done at night. Drive from SF take 101 N to Santa Rosa way was easy 2.5 hrs. Chelsea is the ultimate kind-hearted host with communication using the AirBnB messenger was so easy. She put a ton of thought into decorations of the house. There is a Buddhist, New Age theme through out with crystals, scented oils, and artistic decor related to meditation and earth entities. No microwave or toaster, but the range and oven did the job. Minor window blinds missing, porch screen holes are little issues you will soon forget. One night of seeing a million stars and bright moon is breath taking. Laminated floors are moisture sensitive as previous guests have had some stains was a shame. The AirBnb guest MUST remember this is not an Expedia hotel experience,no maintenance crew to fix your mess. This is Chelsea's home, you should show respect of property and realize that although you are paying some money, it is a privilege to stay at someone's home. Too many pro's to list but our favorite included: 1) Ravenhill Rd Park (playground and great bird watching area a few min walk from house). 2)5 min drive to Little Beach Lake property and has astro turf leashed mini dog park (dog pads burn on hot road pavement this is perfect choice), tons of ducks and birds, mini playground and swingset. Fishing and a guy paddle boarding. 3)5 min drive to community center w/ card access medium sized swimming pool 3ft shallow end to 8ft deep, seasonally open noon-5pm was perfect chlorine mix and was fine for sensitive skin. If anyone asks you "do live here, you are just new." Not exactly a lie. Sweet old lady swimmer was nice to us, but only after stating this and she complained there were many renters that are loud illegal nuisances that she has had to ask the managers to kick out... so be respectful of this fact. 4) Six Sigma Winery is 5 miles, Sat tours with a crazy 6 wheeled covered military transport vehicle!!! We do not drink and the tour was informative and fun as you get to sample the grapes off the vine!! You can't get this level of information and intimacy in Napa. Great unique gifts. 5) Safari West is 30 min drive, age limit on the driving tour access was a bummer for our little guy. 6) Garbage omlete at Beuhlah's kitchen, 21147 Highway 29; fresh produce stands along the way. 7)5 min drive to Jolly Kone, burger with garlic fries and tater tots! grilled cheese, yum!

Come enjoy the serenity and beauty of our home. Two private rooms with a comfy king bed in one room and queen bed in another, with a shared bathroom. Most of the time it is your private bathroom unless you have more than two people in your party. If you are a party of two and would like to reserve both rooms, the cost would be $89 for the first room and $50 for the second room. If you are interested in receiving a Watsu/Waterdance or a massage see details below. Just minutes from Middletown
Our home is in a very secluded part of our neighborhood. We are located on a cul-de-sac with only three other homes. The views are amazing. And there is plenty of parking. Your room is one of two Airbnb rooms located in the home. Each room can accommodate two people. You will have your own full bathroom and you will have access to the kitchen and amenities. We do not serve breakfast and we have a fully equipped kitchen for your use if you would like to cook any of your meals. We also have a nice restaurant just 2 minutes away for breakfast. A king and queen size bed, ALWAYS with fresh linens. You will LOVE it! We can also accommodate up to six people, two in the additional bedroom and two more if they are willing to sleep on a king size feather bed ("nest") in our living room. It is a semi-private space and VERY comfortable. There is an additional $50 fee for each person who uses an additional sleeping space, up to six people. FYI our living space is on the other end of the house. We DO NOT rent out our whole house. You may be sharing common areas with us.
Our neighborhood is beautiful. We are just two blocks from an 18 hole championship golf course. We have a small lake very close by that you can swim in and/or enjoy a lake side picnic, when the weather cooperates. We have several really great restaurants near by including, Thai food, authentic Mexican and of course our own brewery in Middletown with great beer and pizza! We also have a fairly new casino near by, Twin Pines Casino, if that suits your fancy.
  • The hosts, Val and Veronica couldn't have been warmer or more hospitable. Their home was lovely and enjoyable in itself. I hope I have another opportunity to go to Lower Lake...I would definitely stay at their home again.

    Suzanne2014-06-01T00:00:00Z
  • Val and Veronica were very welcoming and accommodating when I arrived at their place harried and a bit bedraggled. I had a chance to lay on a special electromagnetic mat they have in the living room, and immediately felt much more balanced. I spent a quiet night in, using the very clean and organized kitchen to prepare a simple meal, then slept like a baby in the soft and comfy bed. This neighborhood in Hidden Valley Lake is super serene, a great place to go for a long walk under the stars or in the sunshine. Overall, a great experience! And I ran into Val at Harbin a couple days later and was thrilled to receive a watsu from him, which made the price worth it! I would highly recommend this peaceful place, especially if you are a Harbin fan!

    Dara2015-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • Val and Veronica were wonderful hosts, they really went out of their way to make me feel comfortable. Their home was beautiful, inviting, and immaculate. The room I stayed in was extremely comfortable. I did take advantage of the watsu massage session they offered, and it was amazing. Unlike anything I've experienced before. I felt completely relaxed. I could go on about it, but it's really something you need to experience yourself. I would not hesitate to stay with them again or recommend them to a friend.

    Kyle2015-08-27T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great little getaway at Val and Veronica's. I loved the Watsu treatment and floating in their wonderful warm pool - it was the perfect thing to soothe the aches and unrelenting gravity in late pregnancy! Val and Veronica were very warm and welcoming and generous with their space. Thank you!

    Valerie2017-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • Val and Veronica are hosts from the heart! They were genuinely warm and gracious with their greeting and allowed us our privacy. Comfy bed and a private bathroom only a couple steps away! It makes a positive difference when hosts show that they truly care about their guests; this was our experience with Val and Veronica. Thumbs up!

  • We had a great stay with Val and Veronica. They were very helpful providing directions, offering advice on local restaurants and activities. Great conversation. We took advantage of their massage and waterdance therapies, which was well worth it. Was our first experience with Airbnb and could not have asked for a more positive experience. Thank you very much for being gracious hosts.

There is a large deck, family room and library that all look out onto the view. There are two bedrooms, laundry room, small gym and an additional family room on second level. The exterior courtyard is in the center of the house with a fireplace for cool nights.
The neighborhood is super friendly and secluded at the top of a hill.
  • Jan was an amazing hostess. She was at the front door waving at me when I pulled in the driveway. I felt immediately at home. The house is beautiful, rich, and immaculate. The decor is lovely. The room and private bath are even better in real life than in the photos. The bed and pillows are like clouds. The bathroom is luxurious. The shower is massive with a high shower head and a bench to sit on, and was stocked with high quality soaps and shampoos, and even included foot scrub. Everything about the experience was fantastic. Jan was very quick to respond to my reservation and any questions I had. I would not hesitate to recommend this hostess or the accommodations.

    Kyle2015-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • Jan is the BEST !!! This is my first Airbnb experience and it's amazing. Jan's house is beautiful, spacious, and has a wonderful view of the lake. I got my own private bathroom which is beautiful and convenient. Jan provided enough towels, shampoo and lotion stuff..that's wonderful! And the bedroom is so beautifully designed and clean and just perfect. Jan is the best host. She's so warm and friendly which made me feel that I'm staying at my own home. She even bought me breakfast bread and juice. She's a wonderful host and an amazing person. My experience is perfect and I'll definitely stay in Jan's house if I ever visit Napa again.

  • Our stay with Jan was nothing short of perfect! She was able to accommodate our early check in, the room was perfectly appointed, and the views were, as described, spectacular. Jan is super friendly and a pleasure to be around!

  • Jan made me feel welcome her place when I arrived. The room is nicely decorated and clean. It has a nice view of hidden valley lake from the patio. Jan is a very friendly and lovely host.

    Christine2016-07-18T00:00:00Z
  • The neighborhood that Jan lives in is very safe; it was nice to know it was only others in the gated community that were allowed through the gates. Jan was an amazing host. She is friendly, welcoming, and easy to be around. The house is stunning and the view is even better. The size of the room and bathroom were bigger than I imagined and everything was very clean and extremely well decorated. I stayed with Jan for almost three weeks as I started a new job in the area and felt like it was a home away from home. Everything about the house and Jan were wonderful and I couldn't be happier with my stay.

    Allison2015-09-18T00:00:00Z
  • Jan was in touch with us immediately after our request to stay and as our stay approached. She gave great directions and updated us with details as needed, also checking in to make sure we weren't lost! There were fresh flowers in the kitchen, lemonade and homemade cookies, which were lovely to enjoy on her deck.

    Carolyn2016-05-30T00:00:00Z
  • We spent a wonderful weekends to Jan's. The house is beautiful and very well appointed, with great views of the lake. The bedroom is clean, private and quiet and furnished with high quality bedding and towels. Jan is a fantastic host, who makes you feel immediately at home. She has great recommendations for restaurants and activities in the area. We very much enjoyed meeting and chatting with her. We highly recommend it and will be back. Thank you Jan!

  • We loved our stay with Jan - she was very welcoming, kind and helpful and went out of her way to make us feel comfortable. Jan's house was absolutely gorgeous and luxuriously decorated - the bed was super comfy, the walk-in shower huge, the toiletries high quality, fresh flowers in the room, etc. The house had a nice terrace with deck chairs providing stunning views of the surrounding areas or for some romantic star-gazing at night. Couldn't recommend it more.

  • We had a wonderful weekend at Belinda's Getaway, it exceed all of our expectations. The apartment is in the lower level of a house, but has it its own private entrance and felt very secluded, quiet, and restful. It was fully stocked with all the amenities you could need, and is very nicely and modernly decorated. We thoroughly enjoyed the french press coffee. Sitting on the porch watching the hummingbirds was quite relaxing, a great change of pace from the city life. Overall a great couples getaway, or for anyone looking to relax. There are many outdoors activities in the area. We did hiking, kayaking, and biking during our stay. Belinda was a great host. She was very communicative before and during our stay, and was always looking out to see if we were finding everything OK or needed anything else.

    Franco2013-05-28T00:00:00Z
  • Belinda's apartment was a great romantic getaway for us. The place was comfortable and well appointed. There was so much attention to detail and all the quiet and privacy we could ask for. The area is beautiful and secluded, but close to some great attractions like the hot springs, a quiet lake, and some wineries. We were even able to use the kitchenette to create our latkes and cranberry sauce for "Thanksgivanukkah" dinner, shared over a complimentary bottle of local wine. All in all, it was the perfect venue for my new fiance (she said yes!!!) and me to start our engagement! We look forward to coming back again sometime.

    Adam2013-11-30T00:00:00Z
  • What a lovely home!!! My girlfriend and I spent 3 days at Belinda's and had a magnificent experience. The outdoor, private patio was incredible, hummingbirds, bluebirds, wind chimes. We barbequed, hosted some friends, drank wine and we were very close to Harbin Hot Springs. The lake is a few blocks away and we saw several deer walking around the area each day. The home itself was so clean, bathroom was amazing, dual sinks and shower, we loved coming home each day to settle in. Belinda is a very kind and friendly hostess. Excellent value all around for sure.

    andrew2014-06-17T00:00:00Z
  • Belinda's lovely studio apartment lived up to the pictures and description. All the amenities were as advertised. It was easy to communicate with Belinda, and she was available and responsive. The private deck was very pleasant and we enjoyed sitting out in the morning with our coffee and in the evening with a glass of wine.

    Liane2015-06-08T00:00:00Z
  • Bart and I stayed at Belinda place and would have to say it was by far our best airbnb experience to date. Belinda is warm and welcoming. Her place is clean and new and well appointed. Everything you could possible need. We had a a small problem with the dvd and she came and helped us right away. The bed was comfy and it was so very quite. We would stay here again. It was very close to Harbin and that was also great for us.

    Burgundi and Bart2015-03-29T00:00:00Z
  • This is an idyllic self contained space with stunning views over the countryside. Check in instructions were very clear and easy to follow. The apartment was very clean and Belinda had provided wine, water and milk for us. The apartment is beautifully decorated and has a spacious outdoor deck with BBQ which is very peaceful to sit in. We loved staying here and would've liked to stay longer!

  • A beautiful, private, serene week spent in Belinda's home! If you're looking for a spacious, restful, private space with modern conveniences and a stunning patio/view, then this is the place for you! Best Airbnb experience yet, and I've used Airbnb extensively throughout the world.

    Plus 55" 4K Smart TV

  • The best thing about this place is the available room, the master bedroom. It's incredibly spacious and comfortable. There's a private door that goes right to the hot tub outside. The main downside was there was a strong smell in the rest of the house. We couldn't tell what it was but we mostly retreated to the bedroom as quickly as possible. Didn't get to meet Roderick. Met his two housemates briefly, whom were both nice enough. Overall, this is a good place if you don't want to cook a lot and just want to lounge in a beautiful room.

    Adam2016-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • Roderick's preregistration communications were great, although we never met him in person. There was a peculiar strong odor in the house, but not in the room. The master suite quite spacious, though the couch is abutted to one side of the bed. For two people one should be prepared to either crawl over the other or over the footboard.

    Carla2016-08-29T00:00:00Z
  • The house is in a very secure neighborhood and was clean when we entered. There was some confusion on how to enter but that could have been due to the fact that we arrived late. Host did respond to phone calls and messages. The room itself was nice. Especially good was the bed which was soft/comfortable and the nearby hot tub which was a great add-on. The host left very nice toiletries and towels. On things that could be improved: Be aware the house does have other tenants. Noise levels were tolerable but not silent. The bed did not have a flat sheet only a fitted sheet and comforter. The light levels in the toilet room was extremely low. The wifi did work but was slow.

    Brandon2016-09-05T00:00:00Z
  • It was a very welcoming, inviting and relaxing. The host was flexible and willing to accommodate a few work related circumstances on very short notice. The neighborhood was very nice, on a golf course with a jacuzzi. Also very safe as its a gated community. I would recommend it to anyone staying near middletown.

WRITER'S CABIN - fueling the creative spirit since 1895. A place that begs you to leave your phone in the car, invites quiet contemplation, meandering walks with wine in hand to valley overlooks, cooking meals & eating outside on the back deck while the sun rises, sets or hangs in the sky, or the simple act of grabbing a sunrise-inspired cup of coffee–minutes later you are sitting among the century old olive trees in the lower meadow. If this is what you NEED, the Writer's Cabin is for you.
Rustic exterior with all the modern conveniences inside. Space is kept very clean and all linens are fresh and stocked before your arrival. Kitchen is ready to prepare (cook) anything you bring with you or pickup on your way. From your back deck you have access to acres of private space to watch the sunrise, stars and enjoy a glass of wine in the century old olive grove, or read a book. Lore Mountain (Writer's Cabin is located) is wilderness. Coyote, bobcat, fox, an occasionally mountain lion, deer, rabbit and many other animals call it home and we share the property with them. They were here first and we do our best to keep the property wild. Be respectful and take common sense precautions.
Imagine no light pollution and complete silence for much of the night beyond crickets, frogs and the lonely call of a coyote, and the occasional sad ranch dog (Jerusalem Valley). Cleanest air in the USA & less than 70,000 people in the entire county. If this does not sound like a great place to spend a few days or a week, the Writer's Cabin is not for you :)
  • Richmond was a great host, very hands off but was able to quickly answer any questions we had. The venue is not only gorgeous, but very quiet and private. We had a blast on our relaxing getaway and will definitely go back!

    Matt2017-04-22T00:00:00Z
  • Richmond is the perfect host. Welcoming, helpful, and even provided a very nice bottle of wine for my stay. The space itself is very well-designed, well-appointed, and the bed is so comfortable I did not want to leave. This place is very special for peace, quiet, writing, and relaxation. The deer and the stars are perfect company in this wonderful place of stillness.

    Megan2017-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • The Writer's Cabin is incredible. I know everyone says this, but the pictures really don't do it justice. Upon check-in, we were greeted by our friendly host, Richmond, as well as a very nice bottle of wine and free-range organic eggs from the hens that live on the property. The location is completely private, with a beautiful view of the hillside below. We saw wildlife everywhere, and tons of shrubs were in full bloom. The kitchen, living space, bathroom and bedroom were all impeccably furnished. Richmond was a fantastic host, providing us with excellent advice on the area. We put in our kayaks at the Clear Lake Campground for just $5 per boat and explored the amazing bird habitat at Anderson Marsh. For a relaxing getaway less than three hours from San Francisco, the Writer's Cabin is highly recommended.

    Levi2017-05-29T00:00:00Z
  • Sometimes you book an Airbnb just to have a place to stay and sometimes you book some place really special. Richmond's place is the special kind. The peace and quiet from the city was something we treasured. There are private trails on the property that lead to a beautiful lookout to the mountains. There is also a lovely porch connected directly to the bedroom which is great for reading, enjoying the quiet and reflecting. Can't forget the bathroom which was very modern and also has a beautiful view. We would definitely stay here again.

    Gianfranco2017-08-08T00:00:00Z
  • We loved Richmond's cabin! Exactly as advertised, beautiful and calm location, very nicely appointed and designed. He was a real gent when we arrived and gave us total privacy during our stay. We'll be coming back next time we need a break from city life - this place is the perfect SF retreat.

  • We had a wonderfully, relaxing stay at the Writer's Cabin. The cabin is incredibly well-stocked and has everything you need for your stay. Chill out on the porch and watch the deer wander through the property. You can even watch the sun rise over the ridge line from the bed.

Want to try something different? Come stay at the Villa Barone, a sustainable farm and olive orchard. We have two private rooms with bath. Take a tour of the farm or olive orchard.
The room includes a 9% County occupancy tax. Breakfast includes farm fresh eggs and homemade jam. We strive to serve local food, organic when available.
  • Absolutely the most amazing Bed and Breakfast and so much more! Robert and Debbie are the most gracious hosts and go above and beyond on everything. The property is beautiful and the rooms are lovely. Breakfast was delicious. Homemade granola and jams, fresh fruit and eggs from their ducks and chickens. Wine out in their beautiful backyard with the bistro lights making the whole experience so special! We did a tour of the olive groves and and farm on Sunday and it was so fun seeing the emus, goats, pigs, donkeys,Tom the turkey, chickens, rabbits and ducks.....and I am a not a country girl so this was a big treat. Our final treat was doing an Olive oil tasting and their olive oils are delicious as well. I know why they have come in 1st every year. If you want an extra special weekend i would highly suggest Villa Barone. Can't wait to come back with my family.

    Kathleen2016-04-18T00:00:00Z
  • Bob and Deb were wonderful, welcoming hosts, and their place is amazing. The house is lovely, and our bedroom was quiet and comfortable. We had a fantastic night's sleep and woke up to a great breakfast, complete with homemade jams, farm-fresh eggs, pastries, good coffee, sausage and ham. We also had the good fortune to be there the same day as other very interesting guests, and our breakfast conversation was engaging. The highlight of our stay was definitely the tour of the farm. Bob and Deb clearly take pride in their olives and oil, and it was terrific to hear their story and see the orchards. We had a ton of fun petting the goats and eating figs right off the tree. The oil is delicious, and if I weren't flying back home and limited to 3 oz of liquid, I would probably have picked up a bottle. In short, I highly recommend the experience. It's a bit of a drive from the hectic pace of Napa, and that's a good thing. We had a lovely night and morning and would gladly have stayed longer if our schedule allowed.

    Carson2014-07-27T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay was extremely pleasant and enjoyable. Rob was gracious with our delayed check in time and even had cheese and wine waiting for our arrival. We had the joy of helping him feed the pet Emus on his property! There was also a pool and hot tub but we forgot our bathing suits so next time we will remember! The view is absolutely stunning. You do have to travel down a dirt road for about 2 miles so I would recommend it being daylight when you first arrive. Rob and Deb were the most pleasant hosts and our breakfast brought back the BnB in AirBnB. Overall we enjoyed our stay and will be back!

    Cat2017-06-04T00:00:00Z
  • This was our second visit with Rob and Deb and they managed to top even themselves. We absolutely loved staying there, and my parents-in-law from Taiwan really enjoyed it as well. Rob and Deb are incredible hosts and will do everything they can to make your stay completely enjoyable, unique and authentic. We will definitely be coming back for a third visit!

    Ben2016-05-28T00:00:00Z
  • Ten stars! This place far exceeded my expectations. Rob and Deb are the best hosts I've had on Airbnb and really make you feel like family returning home for a stay. We were greeted with fruit, wine and homemade olive oil from the farm and given a tour of the property complete with gorgeous views of the valley. If you are looking for a quiet stay off the beaten path whilst visiting wine country, go here.

    David2017-05-07T00:00:00Z
  • Deb and Bob took great care of us during our trip -- I wish we had stayed longer. It's a beautiful property with great outdoor amenities (patio, pool), and the hosts go out of their way to make sure you're comfortable.

    Ryan2017-08-20T00:00:00Z
  • Our most amazing AirBnB experience yet, Rob and Debbie were amazing hosts. A beautiful home amongst the peaceful rolling hills of Lake County, the farm animals which are looked after with so much love and care... Rob and Debbie are both knowledgable, friendly and ambitious individuals. Highly recommended!

    Norna2014-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • This was by far the best Airbnb experience I have ever had in my life. Immediately upon entering, Deborah and Robert made us feel like home and greeted us with wine from local vineyards and fresh fruit. Their breakfast was amazing- nearly everything was homemade or produced from the farm- including the honey, eggs, yogurt, and granola. Even their soap (which you can keep) is homemade. The tour of the farm and orchard was equally stunning: they have emus, goats, sheep, donkeys, ducks, chickens, and turkeys. At night, you can relax in their backyard and clearly see the milky way (in the summer). I am looking for the next opportunity to come back!

Our cabin is located on our family ranch, is secluded and has amazing views. There is a lot of outdoor space to enjoy the area, hike or ride your bike for miles, and the house is appointed with everything you could need to enjoy your stay. While modernizing the infrastructure, we have left the coziness of the cabin intact, right down the bedroom that was once an Airstream trailer & now part of the cabin. Just bring your clothes & food, unplug and enjoy the peace & quiet as you unwind.
  • Beautiful, secluded, quiet spot for some rest and relaxation. Susan was a great host and was super prompt with her communication- I had all the instructions I needed and everything was as advertised. They have super cute friendly dogs too (they will put them in a kennel if you're not a dog person, but this was great for me since I love dogs). Definitely recommend!

    Kate2017-05-21T00:00:00Z
  • Susan's cabin was a wonderful mini getaway from the city. The cabin is quaint and neat with all of the basics you need to cozy up. Loved playing with the dogs, and petting the horses. A beautiful, quiet retreat in the countryside!

    Jessa2017-06-11T00:00:00Z
  • I booked the place last minute on a whim and boy, I'm so glad I did! The house is located on a beautiful property that Susan and Mike share with 6 lively dogs and 5 gentle horses. The place is just wonderful as well as the hosts, Susan and Mike. my favorite part of the weekend was reading sitting on the picnic table outside and dogs would come up to me and say hi. The place is secluded enough that you can go for nice leisurely walks in any direction (everyone is so friendly!) but also can drive out 15-20 minutes to grab anything you need. Highly recommend for city folks looking to tune out for a bit or families with young children.

    Alexi2017-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • Susan and Mike were gracious hosts. This private cottage is unique with its airstream conversion bedroom. It's far more spacious than described or even appears in the photos. It is incredibly quiet on the ranch and very relaxing. We will be back and we encourage others to stay with Susan and Mike.

    Aja and Doug2017-04-30T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed a stay at Susan's for a quiet weekend away. Susan was amazing at communicating! Her instructions were clear and she was great at answering questions leading up to our stay. The cabin was a little smaller than we imagined, but cozy. Some tips: If you'd like to watch movies, bring a DVD player with you! There are pans in the kitchen, but they're pretty small (camping size)... so if you want to cook, I'd bring a non-stick pan. We also didn't find any salt/pepper, so bring that too. I had NO cell reception all weekend (AT&T) but my boyfriend (Verizon) had service sporadically. So be ready to really "unplug". The bedroom ceiling is a little low, so if you're 6ft or over, you might hit your head. The living room and kitchen have higher ceilings though. The dogs were cute and friendly like everyone says, and there were treats in the kitchen to give them.

This private guest house is conveniently located next-door to the Middletown Art Center and a short walk to Hardester's Market, restaurants, shops, library and local museum.
  • We really enjoyed our stay at Michael's guest house. The house feels open and very comfortable. There are two coffee shops and two diners in easy walking distance for a nice breakfast. Michael's guest house was the perfect place for us to stay while exploring the hot springs and vineyards Calistoga.

  • Great little place in Middletown. Comfortable and clean. Nicely decorated. Kid-friendly (we stayed here with our 3 and 5 yr old). Appreciate the Apple TV! Close to cafes, restaurants, grocery store, and a great little coffee shop-- you can walk everywhere. Enjoyed the location right next to the art center and the art garden next door. We have family in the area and will definitely stay in again again.

  • We very much enjoyed our stay. House was thoughtfully prepared with great amenities. We appreciated the large dining room, stylish living room and kitchen well stocked with cooking tools. Location was very convenient, right downtown and in walking distance of restaurants and coffee shops. Nice wineries in the region. Communication with host was prompt and polite. We would happily stay here again.

  • Michael was a great host - very accommodating and flexible. His place was just as described and served us well for a short stay near Calistoga. It was large, clean, had a parking spot, and was walking distance from a few restaurants / coffee shops. Would recommend!

    Mac2016-08-07T00:00:00Z
  • The house was very clean and lovingly decorated. The host was a friend of a friend and very gracious and sweet. He was especially helpful in letting us check-in early before our gathering started. There was a problem with one of our friends/guests not returning the keys and having to mail them back and Michael was very accommodating about it!

    Elaine2016-05-02T00:00:00Z
  • Michael was the perfect host, concerned for our safety and security he answered my distress call after the signal for (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) maps was lost in the mountains. He is knowledgeable about the area and provided perfect directions. WE called the Guest house home for 1 week and the listing is accurate but does no justice to the warmth and ascetics of the environment. The bright open feel is mixed with wood furnishings and area rugs over hard wood flooring. With Wi-Fi, the home could comfortably support 6 adults and up for supporting children. With 1 queen bed and the best sleeper sofa ever, we brought a double air mattress which went unused. The home is filled with cutlery, flatware, complete set of china and much more. If you forget toiletries, no worries either it is provided or take a quick stroll to a thrift shop, THEY HAVE IT ALL! The Guest House echoes the Middletown art center located next door. Adjunct to the house is a small garden with whimsical art and sculptures for one to explore. The perfect small “Twin Peaks” community is warm and inviting with local stores, coffee shops filled with local charms. The Lake county provides remarkable mountain views and lakes with functions for every sports advocate. Needless to say, my family hated to leave and we can’t wait for another opportunity to call Middletown our home. Next time, we hope to stay for 2 weeks or longer.

  • House is very nice & private, nice furnishings and lots of windows. Easy walk to everything in town! Off street parking was great. Excellent WiFi and very nice Bose sound system. An added bonus, the area is dark enough that we could see the stars at night.

  • Michael's house in Middletown is the perfect spot to see Lake or Napa County. The house was very clean, and spacious. The decor is well appointed, and the bed is comfy. The neighborhood is quiet, but is situated along a busy country road. There is a coffee shop within one minute walking distance, and the Cowpoke café is a great place to eat breakfast!

    Middletown Guest House
    30 reviews
Our three bedroom ranch style house is surrounded by beautiful foothills and trees. There was a wildfire a few years ago but the rebirthing has already begun. The hills are green again (except in summer and early Fall) trees are blossoming, and wildlife is present. There is lots to do locally. Hiking, biking, swimming, water skiing, fishing and rodeo shows are just some of the activities to enjoy. There are also many other little towns in the area to visit.
Our house is a wonderful place to relax, write, read, bake, practice yoga, rest, reflect and entertain. Sometimes you can hear our neighbors horses neighing or the goats bleating. This adds to the peaceful, slower-paced, rural surroundings.
Middletown is a friendly, small, town that has much to offer. We are within walking distance to downtown where there are coffee shops, a library, art center, restaurants and an excellent grocery/hardware store. There are a number of nice restaurants too. If you like beer we recommend the local brewery (Mt. St. Helena). They make great beer and pizza, have a large TV where they broadcast sports, and most always attract a friendly crowd. The art gallery sometimes offers classes and movie nights, besides hosting some interesting exhibits. The library is fairly new and has an extensive variety of books. For people who like to to jazzercise there is a small studio with regular classes, we provide the schedule in our welcome folder. For thrift store shopaholics, there are three thrift stores in town!

  • We had a great weekend and had everything we could have asked for and more.

    Leslie2015-11-23T00:00:00Z
  • We loved spending Labor Day weekend at Spirit Lake. This was the first road trip we had taken since adopting our dog, and we were excited to find a place that would welcome our whole family. We loved grilling each night on the patio and enjoying the quiet and the solitude. The cabin is a short hike from the main house and the lake (and parking space for your car). There's a dock with boats and deck with adirondack chairs to ensure you're able to enjoy the lake. The cabin is small but worked well for the two of us plus dog. We weren't able to take advantage of the loft, since our pup was great at climbing up the steep stairs but not so great at climbing down. Even so, the futon downstairs worked well for our bed, as we spent most of our time out on the cabin's deck or down by the lake. John was a great host, good on communication, and even left us wine and chocolate as a welcome gift. Looking forward to coming back in the future!

    Melanie2016-09-06T00:00:00Z
  • Once again had an amazing at the cabin! The quiet rain was soooo tranquil.

    Delyan2016-03-23T00:00:00Z
  • Great cabin to stay in for a quiet getaway from the city (SF, for us). Our dog loved romping through the grounds and jumping into the lake for a swim. John was great when welcoming us, even though we arrived pretty late on a Friday night. We would love to come back when the weather's a bit better (it was pouring rain pretty much the whole time except for 1 day)!

    Philberta2017-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing and peaceful place surrounded by trees, squirrels and fish! Best gateway ever! Looking forward to coming back! Merci John & Durand.

    Clémentine2017-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • I went up to John's lake cabin with my girlfriend and our dog and just had the loveliest time. The cabin was a short walk from the main house, but due to the hilly nature of the plot, we could not see or hear the main house (or any other houses), which gave such a great sense of peacefulness and isolation. We took morning walks around the property/trails, visited the nearby wineries, and took a short boat trip on the small lake on the property using one of John's small boats he had on hand for us to use. Overall, great location that gives all of the isolation of "getting away" while still affording a very comfortable stay (AC, grill, full kitchen, nearby to local attractions).

    Aman2016-08-08T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay was ablsolutly lovely! The scenery was beautiful. Bare basics were covered and everything worked! We even got used the the stairs by the end of the stay ha! Quiet a lovely place. I highly suggest putting the big candles provided for outside to use especially going into the warmer seasons (they are for the bugs). The cabin is still having renovations done and I believe John is getting Wi-Fi there for all you techy people very soon! The ceilings in the second floor are low. I'm 5'9" and I had to bend a little bit when standing upstairs. The place is a little smaller so if you're looking for a somewhere for 2 people this would be perfect! Anything more...maybe look into the main cabin right across the trail. Speaking of which definitely pack light. The trail to the cabin is short but a majority incline. John was fantastic! This was my first airbnb travel and he answered every question I asked.

  • The backyard oasis is a true get away. Best for those looking for the way off the beaten path. Very close to Calistoga and St Helena.

  • My boyfriend and I came to visit Napa Valley for a four day getaway and wanted to bring our dog with us. When we arrived, we were blown away by the sanctuary that we found. Our dog, Riley, LOVED playing outside and sniffing everything in sight and made some new friends with neighbor dog's and Greta's dog, Rusty who is also a sweetheart. The place was clean, accommodating, included a fridge and everything else you could think of to make the environment cozy and comfortable. Breakfast was phenomenal! Fresh and delicious ingredients and the best part was the wonderful conversations we had with Greta where she gave us tips on places to see based on our interests. She had such great advice and we actually ended up seeing many places we didn't plan on but were pleasantly surprised with! Thanks for such a wonderful experience Greta, we can't wait to come back and see you! -Colleen, Mike, and Riley

  • Greta is an extremely gracious host, and a wonderful breakfast cook ;), we throughly enjoyed our stay at the Backyard Garden Oasis. It had everything we needed for our short, very relaxing stay. • I absolutely love to come here when I need to unplug and get some R&R at Harbin. Greta, the Innkeeper, is a warm, kind, beautiful spirit and that energy permeates the experience. Not to mention that she also makes the best breakfast in CA. The twisty drive up from Calistoga signals entering this area of serenity, the gardens are beautiful and perfect place to rest and contemplate. The property is a 10 minute drive from Harbin but much more private and peaceful than staying on site. Rosie, my mini-maltese service animal, loves to play with Rusty; the gated gardens make for a safe, fun experience for my little friend.

    Kat2014-07-30T00:00:00Z
  • Greta was a great host, and the description of the house is exactly as described. This cottage is perfect for a couple looking for a romantic getaway. She cooks an awesome breakfast, and the cottage has all the basic necessities available to their guests. Even though there are 3 cottages, there is absolutely no noise and super private. The hot tub is part of the cottages, but part of the main house.

    Vikas2015-05-26T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage was lovely and Greta was a very hospitable, amiable and most importantly to me dog friendly host. She has a beautiful yard and my partner and my three pups Atom, Blossom and Scout and I all felt so well cared for during our weekend. It was definitely a little bit of paradise.

The home is 2,200 square feet with 2 guest bedrooms, a master suite with a deck and is full of light and air. The kitchen-dining-deck-pool area is large and comfortable and makes for great indoor-outdoor living. The house is well heated for the winter months and well air conditioned for the summer months. It is a great weekend getaway or week-long summer pool vacation. It is stocked with BBQ supplies and three BBQs and two outdoor fireplaces. The pool is approximately 12' wide by 35' long and is only 4' deep. Obviously no diving at that depth but it is perfect for kids and families to swim, play and generally have fun. There is sun all day at the pool.
It is a quick 2 hour drive from San Francisco (2.5 from SFO) right through the heart of Napa Valley. This is a country-residential neighborhood. You’ll love my place because of the outdoors space and the comfy bed. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, families (with kids), and furry friends (dogs). Please let us know if you are bringing your dog, (dogs ). I will provide dog beds. Note: we now charge a $10. per dog, fee ( CASH ) for guest with dogs.. We have a 2 dog limit. ( No dogs over 20 pounds ) This fee is a cash only fee.. Please have cash on hand.
Please note, the ceiling in the main room is only 6' 4". Very cozy for 2 or 4 people. Please join us in wine country. I'm sure you'll enjoy your stay!
Our neighborhood is set at the base of Cobb Mountain. Very beautiful mountain setting. Very secluded. Please try to arrive before dark. There are no street lights in our area and can be difficult to find. If you are quiet enough, in the mornings and early evening, you can watch the squirrels, chipmunks and a verity of birds feeding.
  • Cathy's place was perfect for a weekend get-away to the northern part of wine country. The bed was very comfortable and the small place was very cozy. The check-in was very easy and we could come and go with no problems. It is pretty remote, so the shower water took some time to warm up and the satellite of on the TV cut out, but the wifi worked well. And the woods are lovely to look at from the back yard. It's great if you want to get away from every-day distractions!

    Emily2017-04-30T00:00:00Z
  • This place has a wonderful cabin-like feel up in Lake County. My partner and I came here for a weekend get away and loved the scenery waking up among the trees. It was super cozy for two people and it would be a squeeze for four but definitely doable with the spare futon in the second room. There's a little mini-bar set up where we made our breakfast which was really convenient. Cathy was a nice, low-key host & gave us travel/dining information for the area. I would love to come back.

    Jocelyn2017-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • Cathy was so accommodating and kept communicating with us prior to our arriving and throughout our stay. We will definitely return to Cathys Getaway!!! Thanks for everything!!

  • This was a very nice spacious apt with complete privacy. Beautiful furniture, very comfortable, she even had sodas and DVDs to watch and because we were arriving so late she had the heater and lights on for us. Her house is outside of town and in a wooded area so make sure you write the directions down before heading out there. We lost cell service for a few minutes so it made the night driving hard to navigate the last few streets but after driving around the corner we got reception again and found it quickly. This apt is worth way more than what we paid. Self check-in was easy and convenient. Don't pass up the opportunity to stay here.

    Chantal2017-04-22T00:00:00Z
  • Everything was wonderful. The apartment area was exactly as shown, and perfect for my mom and I. The location on Cobb Mountain is beautiful, with quite a drive to get to and from the home.

Our cabin is within one mile of downtown Cobb. It is a lovely walk or a short drive. The kitchen is fully equipped for eating in. There is a pizza place, pub, a coffee shop with wifi, a grocery store, post office, golf, and great hiking. The view off the deck is tranquil, and beautiful. It is a quiet personal retreat or romantic getaway. Nearby are moderate to strenuous hiking parks and on the lake you can rent kayaks for recreation and bird watching. This is a very quiet out of the way setting.
You will have the cabin to yourself. It is quiet and private, a great artist retreat, romantic getaway or a place to meditate away from the distractions of home. It's not a party house. The cabin is carpeted in the living room and bedroom with oak floors in the entry, kitchen, and dining areas. We have an efficient heater, energy efficient windows, and you are surrounded by trees. The bed is quite comfortable with ample pillows and the TV is in the bedroom. The television has a built-in DVD player, no cable and there is no internet connection but there is ATT and Verizon service.
The neighborhood is in the forest, quiet and pretty. It is a short walk to downtown Cobb where there is a post office, donut shop, grocery store, coffee shop, and pub. We want to keep the cabin well cared for so that we can continue offering it for your special get away. Some of the furnishings have changed and we will update the photos soon.

The ideal location for a writer's or artist's retreat (as I used it), or couples' getaway, with fresh air, beautiful surroundings, and no noise. Cate is a great host, attentive and thorough. Whenever I messaged, she replied within a few minutes, and she gave great suggestions for activities in the surrounding area. Only a few minutes down the road are local pubs with live music and coffee shops with wifi. Could not be happier with my stay. Fantastic experience!

Cate is very accessible and responds quickly to texts if needed. I would highly recommend her Tree House if you are looking to escape for a few days.

Enjoy this compact studio with a cubby bed in the tall pines of Cobb Mtn. Private entry and deck designed with solitude, cool temps and comfort in mind. Space includes shower, refer/cooking and window seat. NOTE: We are in the Valley Fire Area.
Tiny converted basement studio with cool concrete floors, full sized futon in a smaller cubby space acts as a comfortable couch and bed for 1 . Single burner, microwave and toaster oven available for cooking. Refrigerator is conveniently located in wall. Piped in spring water for showering, CD player/radio. NOTE: This is a lower unit, so movement from the upper unit can be detected.
Quiet walkable neighborhood in the tall pines, dogwoods and maples. Resort like area. Golf courses, public swimming pools, and hiking just miles away. Sweet meandering walk leads to great overview of local valley. October, 2015: NOTE: We are in the Valley Fire area and while our neighborhood was barely touched, the surrounding area can be disheartening. We lost Boggs Forest and Harbin Hot Springs to the fire. Other hiking trails are in the area.
  • JoAnn is amazing! you won't find a more caring and accommodating host. The room is beautiful, comfortable, and has everything a person could want. The little touches and amenities make it all the more extraordinary.

    Brian2015-12-19T00:00:00Z
  • JoAnn's studio was a great place to spend a few days of relaxation and reflection. I really didn't see too much of JoAnn during my time there, but she put a lot of thought into the experience of staying in her studio. The studio itself was small, but very comfortable for one person. It may be a slightly cramped for two. The wifi was decent and the bed was comfortable, with lots of pillows. The room comes equipped with incense, a meditation cushion, and a yoga mat, if you are so inclined. Access to the private deck was very nice. The area was quite beautiful. Mountainous with tall pines, quite a bit cooler than the lowlands. Only a short walk down the road to some spectacular views. Highly recommended as an affordable, private place in the hills north of Calistoga.

    Chris2015-08-23T00:00:00Z
  • JoAnn is a great and welcoming host. She made sure that everything is in place and kept the line of communication open. This little studio is small but very clean, neat, and cute. It fits me perfectly but I'm a small person. I think it might be a tad tight for someone taller. I really appreciated that JoAnn provided environmentally friendly products (shampoo, conditioner, soap, dish soap, etc) in her studio. Staying at the studio felt like visiting a friend and they spent time putting in little details to make your stay comfortable. In addition, she was very accommodating to my needs (provided my dog a bed and gave me tips on which hikes to take, etc.). Everyone in the neighborhood was also very friendly. Whenever I see someone, they would smile or wave at me. I felt super welcomed by both JoAnn and her neighbors.

    LeTran2015-08-10T00:00:00Z
  • I was fortunate to have stayed at JoAnn' s he r last minute. Her communication once the reservation was confirmed was quick and friendly. The studio was adorable and in a great location. Would definitely stay again next time I'm in the area.

    Koshin Vicki2016-05-16T00:00:00Z
  • For the cost this location is more than worth the value if you are traveling by yourself. The place is small but for the most part clean, the unit has a very nice bathroom with shower and the sleeping arrangement is perfect for one person, it is a futon but I prefer harder mattresses so it worked out great for me and I was more than comfortable. There are also a few items around to cook with but a challenge due to the limited space and counter space, I was able to cook a couple meals. Unfortunately I could not find anything to wash the dished with :( I was a little disappointed with not finding any cleaning supplies, so I was unable to leave the place as clean as i would have preferred. I believe the host was also a little upset because I left a throw blanket on the floor, it was dirty and with no hamper I was unsure on where to leave it, I apologized but never received a reply, I hope she isn't too hard on me! Overall, the host was very attentive and friendly, the accommodations were more than adequate for the price and I will definitely be back if she will have me again. Sorry about the blanket JoAnn, please forgive me!

  • What an amazing spot! JoAnn's home is tucked away up in the mountains, minutes from Boggs State Forrest. This was a perfect getaway for a few days and JoAnn was great in recommending some awesome hiking trails, restaurants and a local pub (Village Pub...highly recommend...live music on weekends). The actual mini apartment is a bit small though comfortable for 1 person. JoAnn stocked it with some basic essentials like soap, shampoo, filtered water, tea pot/coffee maker, etc. Highly recommend

  • The spot was super cozy and cute and had everything I needed. The host was excellent.

  • I booked this very last minute and JoAnn responded immediately. She listened to what I was looking for in a place and gave me some info to make sure it was what I wanted. I appreciate her taking her time to ensure I was going to be happy, which I was at her spot. Only downside is that I didn't stay longer.

Leave your urban stress behind in Cobb, a Hamlet Mountain Forest area, set 2,700 feet above sea level in the Mayacamas mountains. Venture off, close by is: BlackRock Golf course for golf, dinner or drinks, or take a neighborhood walk (lots of deer). Pine Grove pool (open Memorial Weekend through Labor day) is about a mile from the cabin. There is a wonderful coffee shop (Mountain High), gourmet grocery store (Hardesters), and pizza place (Brick Oven) in the little shopping center. And on your way, the Village Pub. These spots are all within close walking distance to the cabin. Further away, take a hike up Mt Konocti or wine taste at any one of the 35 Lake County wineries! (Current 2017 info, details, maps in our Guest Book!)
Cobb itself has a gas station, a great coffee shop (Mountain High Coffee Books), grocery store (Hardesters), pizza parlor and pub - all walking distance from Star Cabin. The golf course and bar are just a 5 minute walk away. And, if you haven't explored Lake County - there are plenty of wineries to try.
  • Love it, it's in a great location, easy to find. The cabin is wonderfully designed and was very clean. It's close to shops and vineyards.

  • The "Star Cabin" was lovely. My friend and I stayed while visiting Napa. It was further away than we thought and up a winding mountain road. A little more challenging of a drive than we planned. This was our mistake. The Cabin was well appointed, and the setting was beautiful. Lots of deer visiting across the street. I would highly recommend this as a destination, and would love to visit again.

  • We stayed here for two nights. The house was very comfortable and clean, perfect for our trip with the kids.

  • Nice little cottage in Cobb. It's a bit remote from the wine country, but gives you access to the wine country and Clear Lake. Nice play to get away. The host provided excellent info on the surroundings, places to visit, places to eat, etc.

  • The Star Cabin is absolutely the most peaceful experience you can have in the woods. It is surrounded by redwoods with deer coming in and out of the yard and stillness all around. It was nice to be in the stillness and have the wildlife, but not be miles away from your neighbors. This is a real neighborhood, but is quiet and peaceful. We found the cottage to be very comfortable with lots of windows and Judy is master gardener with excellent taste. She has done a wonderful craft of weaving together many spaces in and around the home where you can relax and enjoy space. We slept in the guest room, which was very spacious and has beautiful windows and lighting. The bed wasn't too firm but I have a feeling that the master bedroom might have had a better mattress. The kitchen is stocked with everything for cooking and there is a really great pool to enjoy with the community and a lawn just across the road. We miss the Star Cabin already and hope to visit again sometime.

  • We had a great time at Judy's. The house and location was great. We hope to be neighbors some where down the road.

  • It was a pleasure to stay at Star Cabin. It is located in a very beautiful and serene neighborhood. We had breakfast outside one day and enjoyed the deer walking by. The house is full of very useful and interesting tools and surprises for a very joyful stay. Judy provided a very detailed description of everything we could or could not imagine. We will be back :-)

  • I stayed in the most comfortable and groovy "Star Cabin" for two nights with a couple friends. We all woke up to see beautifully healthy trees through the bedroom windows and only the birds singing the calmest melodies. We all agreed on the way home that we had one of the best trips of our lives... Judy's cabin is incredible! We could not have had a better time in Cobb. Be sure to visit the Pine Grove Pools! Judy's recommendations were excellent! :)

Overlook an entire valley and lake from this master suite w/ a very large private bathroom. The room has a king bed, a large walk in shower and two sinks - great for two people. The house is on a quiet street on top of a hill (thus the great views!). The room is on the second story with its own family room. Downstairs is another family room & library. There is a very large deck to sit and relax on - or enjoy the quiet of the interior courtyard!
The room is located on the second floor of a 4,000 square foot mediterrean house. You are welcome to use the back deck overlooking the valley and a private (website hidden)'s a gated community with 24 hour security.
It is a quiet friendly neighborhood. The most remarkable thing are the views - 35 miles! There are hiking and biking trails, a private lake, golf course, about 30 local wineries. The house is located 26 miles (35 minutes) from Calistoga and the northern end of Napa Valley.
  • Everything about our stay with Jan was wonderful! She is a bubbly, attentive, generous hostess. Her home is lovely. The view are amazing! The bed is ultra comfortable. The bathroom (esp the shower) are HUGE! Lots of space to move around. Dark-out curtains make the bedroom a cave-like masterpiece for a great night's sleep. Easy location. Jan gave great directions and instructions. She was very accommodating to our schedule. We had the good fortune of catching her on a day off during our stay. She was kind enough to make croissants for Sunday breakfast. I definitely recommend the experience of staying with Jan, and I look forward to staying with her again on a future trip to Harbin Hot Springs!! Thank you Jan! :-)

  • WOW!!! Jan's home was absolutely incredible--beautiful decor, a huge and comfortable bed, and an amazing private bathroom. Jan gave us a warm welcome and tour of the home even though we had a late-night arrival. In the morning, she made us warm, fluffy croissants for breakfast. We were also astounded by the views of the valley and the morning hot air balloons. Honestly, staying here was like being at a five-star hotel, and we wish we could have spent a whole week here. We would very highly recommend Jan to any traveler!

  • Jan was very welcoming and friendly, giving me a glass of wine and some food when I arrived. The house and room are beautiful. I enjoyed working in the gorgeous library, looking out over amazing views. In the morning she gave me coffee and a bagel. The quality of the whole experience exceeded my expectations. I will definitely stay here again.

  • The reviews are true - Jan is amazing and her place is beautiful. One of my favorite Airbnbs so far. The area is also a must visit - beautiful wineries along the lake which Jan recommend to us. Hope to be back again!

  • Jan was a warm welcome to my stay in Lake County. It was great to get to know her and hear her story of designing and building a beautiful home on the peak of Hidden Valley. Her talent as a designer and visionary shows through in the appointments carefully placed in her home. All making it very comfortable and inviting. My stay with Jan, as a first timer on my own, was the perfect experience for me. I'm now ready to make my way traveling using Airbnb. Don't forget to sit outside and watch "Hummingbird TV", reflecting on what the legends say about these delicate creatures: "they float free of time, carrying our hopes for love, joy, and celebration. " I applaud Jan for facilitating a great adventure for me, including my trip to Brassfield Estate Winery.

  • This is the second time I have stayed with Jan, and I continue to be a vey happy guest. This time I stayed with my girlfriend and she enjoyed it as much as me. The house is really beautiful and Jan is very welcoming. It's also very close to Harbin Hot Springs, which makes it a convenient place to stay as part of a visit there. Jan made us freshly baked chocolate croissants in the morning.

  • Jan was absolutely wonderful and her house was beautiful!! The view from the porch is with the stay. The house is very modern and huge and Jan made me feel right at home. It was clean, private, and quiet. I would suggest to anyone and everyone!!

  • It was great to stay with Jan again. We made a last-minute booking and she happened to not be there, but she was able to give us access remotely, and trusted us to come and go as we needed to. As always, we enjoyed staying here.
