También recibe el nombre de Real del Monte y es conocida por su rica historia minera. “Teotihuacan is a vast Mexican archaeological complex northeast of Mexico City. Running down the middle of the site, which was once a flourishing pre-Columbian city, is the Avenue of the Dead. It links the Temple of Quetzalcoatl, the Pyramid of the Moon and the Pyramid of the Sun, the latter two with panoramic views from their summits. Artifacts in the Museum of Teotihuacan Culture, on-site, include pottery and bones.”

“Ancient Mesoamerican city 40 km (25 mi) away from Mexico City (Car rental or tour needed!), It's known today as the site of many of the most architecturally significant Mesoamerican pyramids built in the pre-Columbian Americas. Apart from the pyramids, Teotihuacan is also anthropologically significant for its complex, multi-family residential compounds; the Avenue of the Dead; and the small portion of its vibrant murals that have been exceptionally well-preserved. teotihuacan.inah.gob.mx”

Route
“A must if you're interested in Prehispanic Cultures and Mexican History, great experience with a good guide. There are many services of tours to the pyramids, for specific information on tours and private drivers please check the section of Tours in the first pages of the guide. IMPORTANT: always wear a cap or hat, sunglasses and sun protection independently of the climate of the city, where the sun is very strong throughout the year and is a very desert area. I recommend trying the tunas and bringing enough water. ”
