“The Beach House Hotel has a broad menu with loads of options. It's on the better end of pub food. Very pleasant on the verandah on a balmy night. ”

“The boat club is approx 15 minutes walking distance along the Esplanade and good for family dinners and drinks. You will need to sign in as visitors to the bay so don't forget your ID. They have an outdoor verandah where you can see the local boats in their moorings while enjoying drinks. There is the main restaurant and a bistro. Live music plays most nights and they have cinemas upstairs. The cinemas seat approx 20 people. Their courtesy bus is available as well.”

“The original pie and pastry paradise is in Pialba but there is now one in walking distance. It's at unit 2/78 Elizabeth St opposite the botanical gardens. I recommend the satay chicken pie. My hubby recommends the pepper steak pie. Pie and Pastry Paradise make really good cappuccinos and seating is available inside or out. Their sweet desserts and savoury quiches are delicious. Their bee sting is to die for. :) The walk is worth it as not only do you get to try their fantastic pies and pastries, but you get to wander through the Hervey Bay Botanical Gardens opposite. The gardens are worth a look and are interesting with a Batdjala bush tucker area, Labyrinth, wildlife, birds, small chinese garden and orchid house. ”
