This is an amazing and unique place! The cottage itself is beautiful and quite special. On top of this, the water and snorkeling is right there. This was definitely the coolest place we stayed in Hawaii!
Julia2012-07-26T00:00:00ZThe cottage is a peaceful gem in a lush tropical garden and Karen was an amazing host! We very much enjoyed our stay there as a family. The nearby beach is another hidden paradise with great snorkeling possibilities! We will definitely try to come back to this amazing place!!! Thank you Karen for your great hospitality!
Sandra2014-09-18T00:00:00ZThis place is truly one of a kind! It's situated right near the coastline and is hidden amongst the trees and other foliage. I think my favorite part of the rental was the outdoor shower. Thanks again, Karen!
Karen2015-06-20T00:00:00ZCool property and warm and welcoming hosts near great snorkeling!
Andrea2017-04-17T00:00:00ZCouldn't be a more peaceful and accommodating spot in the area. Karen and Ron were terrific resources as well! They have snorkel and kayaking eqipment to use and were most accommodating in every way. The indoor-outdoor living situation was perfect for Hawaiis ideal climate and fresh air!
Karin2012-02-07T00:00:00ZThe Bali Cottage was our favorite place of the whole trip! Such a unique place with so much character. The outdoor kitchen, outdoor bathroom and mosquito netting around the bed made for a one-of-a-kind experience! The hosts were very welcoming and gracious as well!
Katie2015-11-07T00:00:00ZKaren and Ron were wonderful hosts and we had a great time. They were very accommodating and the cottage was just as pictured and described. They are right next door, so if you have any problems they are usually there to rectify them. The bay that is below their cabin is really lovely with the dolphins coming in most mornings. Getting there during daylight hours is advised, as the road down is really downhill and very twisty and the parking place you want to be able to find easy. Annette and I like new and unusual places and things and this was great. I would have no trouble recommending it to friends.
Rick2015-12-05T00:00:00ZKaren and Ron were wonderful hosts. They were waiting to greet us upon our arrival, and were always available during our stay. Ron wrote out a "must see" itinerary for our day at the Volcanoes National Park, including a great hike and a breakfast and dinner recommendation. The cottage itself was a part of our whole Hawaii experience. Having an outdoor kitchen and bathroom, as well as enjoying the decor, made our time back from our day excursions most enjoyable. We were just a short walk to the beach for morning swims and sunsets. If ever we come back to the Big Island, we will definitely stay again!

Eve and Steve were really outgoing and helpful -- and the cottage was fantastic. The place is situated in a beautiful landscape with lots to explore. Inside it's cozy, clean and the sort of place you want to tuck away inside for a few days to relax. There's a great little kitchen and big bathroom so there's no "roughing it" about this place. Highly recommend this spot as Eve and Steve have clearly thought through all of the details to make it a great place to stay in Maui.
Charley2014-04-25T00:00:00ZWhat a magical place! Stayed here for one night last week and wish we could have stayed the whole time. Eve was lovely and gave us great tips. The grounds were beautiful and I loved the shower! Would definitely stay again.
rosa2016-05-06T00:00:00ZThe Ginger Bread House was a fantastic place! Loved that it was our own little get away after exploring Maui. The historic downtown (3min away) was great for dinner and the general store has everything you need. Although I briefly met Eve as she was traveling when we were there, she was a great host and teed everything up for our stay. Amazing spot and we will be back!!!! Also- the shower is five star quality :)
Max2014-10-28T00:00:00ZWonderful Gingerbread cottage. A great place for 2pp to stay and highly recommend it. Very secluded but yet lots to do in the area. Eve is wonderful; full of helpful information. Her Sacred Garden is a "must-see". Loved, loved, loved our week there...
Barbara2017-01-01T00:00:00ZWe stayed here for out wedding weekend, great location. Rented the log house for our friends and family, it was in one word amazing. The pictures she has of the place are beautiful but short of experiencing it in real life. 11/10 definitely worth every penny, the sacred garden next door was also beautiful. The list goes on and on! Book it!
Ho2017-01-10T00:00:00ZWe had a wonderful stay at the gingerbread house. Eve and Steve were wonderful and attentive hosts. They had great tips on what to do and where to go, and we spent the week eating lilikois from their garden. The cottage is just enough for two, comfortable with a killing shower. The cooler was a very nice touch and we carried it everyday with us. It is the ideal location if you want to explore Upcountry Maui and still be very private. That is if you can do with the upside of a forest getaway: bugs. Unfortunately for us I had a bad reaction to mosquito bites, but that's on us.
Mayumi2014-08-04T00:00:00ZThe gingerbread house in Macawao was the perfect retreat away from the hustle and bustle of the coast. We were on our honeymoon and absolutely loved the cool, quiet and peaceful air we woke up to and came home to each day. It was nice to be able to cook our own meals. The cabin is beautiful and very efficiently laid out. The property is gorgeous! Eve welcomed us and gave us lots of information about the island of Maui. We loved our stay!
Gina2016-07-14T00:00:00ZEve was away so unfortunately we didn't meet her, however Steve her husband welcomed us and told us all about the house and the gardens. It was all that we expected a charming cosy house well equipped and very comfortable. As the house is totally made from Cedar wood the smell inside was fantastic always fresh and calming. The house is close to Paia and the lovely beaches - 10-15 minute drive, all of which are on the Hana highway so easy access to the airport at Kahului and 'The road to Hana I would definitely recommend staying here if you want quiet country style accommodation with easy access to everything else.

The treehouse was exactly as advertised. It was serene, unique, secluded. Mahinui was a great host and provided a clean and welcoming domicile. It's nice to relax in the rainforest and Volcano was a cute little town. Highly recommend this option for those seeking a romantic place to stay on the Big Island.
Michael2017-05-15T00:00:00ZIt was just as described! It was amazing and secluded and beautiful!
Michael2017-05-12T00:00:00ZVery special place with a great host to boot. Everything was amazing!
Stephen2017-05-08T00:00:00ZMy wife and I had a great time staying in the treehouse for a couple of nights during over honeymoon...like nothing else we've ever done before! Gail was a great host and we felt very welcome there. Tia was also fantastic and was flexible with us during check in!
Michael2017-04-30T00:00:00ZThis treehouse is amazing! Very clean, well kept, and full of lovely details. Communication was great and instructions were sent beforehand as well as printed in a binder when we arrived. VERY highly recommend this location.
Derek2017-04-23T00:00:00ZThere are places you stay just to have a home base while you go explore... and then there are places like this treehouse. For us, it was a destination unto itself. If you told me that we had to hike 20 miles uphill to get there, I would do it in a heartbeat. There is nothing like a private jungle paradise all to yourself - nothing compares. We highly recommend booking enough time to have a chill day just alternating between the hot tub, the shower, and the upper/lower lanais for bird watching and utter relaxation. You will not regret it. Mahalo Tia and Gail! Try to fly into Hilo if you can, or be prepared for the 2.5 hr drive from KOA - beware if you drive through the middle of the island (the fastest route) there are no places to stop and eat.
Erin2017-04-21T00:00:00ZWe ran out of power early plan on roughing it. Also clean kitchen before using. Mouse droppings!
Bill2017-04-11T00:00:00ZWe loved our time at the treehouse! It was very quiet and secluded, and a great place to relax. We loved the hot tub and the delicious treats left for us the first day. The service was wonderful, and we had a great time. Do consider that the sound of rain falling on a metal roof can be VERY loud, so bringing earplugs to sleep in might be prudent if you are a light sleeper (because it rains a LOT!)! Otherwise, our stay was perfect!

Amazing experience!! Very relaxing and unplugged experience in the trees overlooking the beach. Very eco conscious retreat which I loved.
olena2017-05-16T00:00:00ZThis is a cool place. I love it.
Dai2017-05-05T00:00:00ZThis was a truly magical place! Taking the bikes and snorkel gear out, waking up to a beautiful view every morning, saying hi to the gecko's as we snagged our morning bananas, mind blown! Thank you!
Kim2017-04-26T00:00:00ZOur stay at the treehouse was by far the highlight of our time in Hawaii, enjoyed by the whole family. John and Julie were so welcoming and friendly. We made the most of the surfboards and bikes and loved the organic veggie patch. The treehouse was well equipped, clean and an amazing view of sunset beach. We will definitely be back :-)
Cam & Claire2017-04-10T00:00:00ZThe treehouse bungalow was so charming and so cool. Perched up high, overlooking the north shore. The porch was a great place to hang. The whole vibe of the place was just super cozy. I expected more bugs inside, and more dread involved with the hike up the rocky stairs, but it was very clean and the walk up was actually really enjoyable each time, walking through tropical foliage, green lizards and exotic birds. The last night it rained and sleeping in the bungalow in the rain was so relaxing. The bed was super comfortable. We got to see some crazy Hawaiian rainbows in the morning from the deck. I also really appreciated that they had a french press for coffee. Such a cool thing they've got going here. Wish we had time to check out the yoga. Sunset Beach (appropriately named) is walking distance. We learned to surf close by. Saw some sea turtles surface from the sea. The area around this house is great. Lots of food trucks and hip places serving cold brew and whatnot. Ted's Bakery had some delicious coconut pie. Thank you John! This place was truly amazing.
Constance2017-04-05T00:00:00ZAwesome place in a secluded area of North Shore. Sunset Beach was directly across the street from us, we could even hear the waves crashing at nighttime. John and the other guest living on the property were all very friendly and helpful. We loved our stay and wouldn't hesitate to come back again.
Will2017-03-31T00:00:00ZMy wife and I really enjoyed our getaway at the Treehouse Bungalow. We arrived a little early and was greeted by the property manager who let us leave our bags on the property while we waited to check in. Once checked in we found the bungalow to be in great shape and very clean and cozy. We were glad to see that they provided the essentials, such as glasses, silverware, bowls, plates, coffee press, hot plate, refrigerator, microwave and steaming hot water. It was conveniently located walking distance from Sunset Beach which provided a calming serenade of waves crashing throughout the night. I would highly recommend this as a vacation rental or a staycation for someone local who is looking to getaway for a few days. My only complaint was the parking. I live on island and my truck is significantly larger than most rentals which proved to be a bit much for the provided parking. During our stay there were roughly nine vehicles including ours that were parked on site. While we all could have parked on the property I felt more comfortable parking my truck on the street rather than force the others to maneuver around it. This definitely did not change our opinion of the Bungalow but had we known prior to going we would have driven my wifes coupe instead. Thanks you for allowing us to enjoy your property! We will keep yall in mind next time we are looking for a weekend getaway.
Mike2017-03-12T00:00:00ZThe Tree house is an amazing get away. The view from the deck is breathtaking. Sleeping with all the windows open, hearing the waves and birds was truly magical. The tree house has everything you might need, including fresh fruit when available. We were lucky to have bananas during our stay. The location on the north shore is great, walking distance to the famous Sunset beach, close to grocery store and numerous tasty food trucks.

This cozy little condo is exactly what is described. A nice quiet place with a wonderful view. It has all of the necessary amenities your need for a quiet trip to Molokai.
Jamie2017-05-01T00:00:00ZThis place was so lovely! I stayed with my 8-year old son and we loved it. Short walk down to the pool and the beach, and even a little convenience type store right by the pool. Secluded, pretty quiet, though there were kids above us that got loud a couple times. Great kitchen stocked with lots of tools - bring your own oil and spices to cook with, there was a couple things there when we stayed but good to be prepared. You will need a vehicle, as Molokai is quite rural and there's no public transportation that I saw. Even the towns are tiny and quaint. I didn't want to leave!
Madeline2017-04-10T00:00:00ZGreat place for a couple or a family with two little kids!
Hunter2017-03-21T00:00:00ZThe apartment was very nice, clean, well equipped .... from the terrace you can look directly at breakfast the sea. The resort is very quiet and people are very accommodating and friendly. The way the car of Michael to rent to was great. Through the local license plate, we were closer in contact with the people of Molokai. That was really nice. Just great. We'll be back ... Andrea and Sa
Sandra2017-03-10T00:00:00ZMake sure you book a car FIRST before anything. While Michael kindly provided some contacts for possible car rentals, we found there were absolutely no cars available for rent on the island. We spent $90 on taxi rides too and from the airport, and there's not much access to much else beyond the condo. Other than that the location was remote, relaxing, and beautiful.
Erik2017-02-19T00:00:00ZMichael responds very quickly and is really nice! I stayed here with two of my friends for two nights and it was very comfortable for us, there were plenty of towels and the pots and pans are brand new. The condo is on resort grounds, they have a lovely bbq area, and the pool is great too! The view from the patio is stunning and I enjoyed the wild turkeys! The people here are really friendly, I definitely recommend a car for getting around though. Michael also rents a van to his guests, however the dates of availability don't coincide with the condo so if you want the car during your stay, be sure to ask about it before you book. Thanks for a great stay Michael!
Inbar2017-02-17T00:00:00ZMolokai is amazing. It is untouched by commercialism and crowds and holds pristine views and natural landscapes. The condo has beautiful views of the ocean and the occasional large bird wandering by - turkeys and peacocks. The people are very friendly and the island is great getaway, especially from the tourist traps. Even still, there are enough places that serve tourists that it doesn't seem like you've bandined civilzation.
Elizabeth2017-02-08T00:00:00ZThe location to the beaches and a place to watch the sunsets is fantastic. Other people staying in outher units were very friendly. Very secluded and private. Felt safe at all times. Local groceries were very expensive but drive a little and sace alot. Local organic vegetable farm and a local cooperative meat processing plant are two nearby places to purchase fresh food at reasonable prices.

Angela and Cyrille's place was a great base for our short stay in Honolulu (easy to find, away from heavy tourist traffic, easily accessible). Owners very communicative. It was clean and had essentials. The bed is SUPER comfortable. Balcony is a nice bonus, though we never had the chance to use it. I would only mention that parking can be a issue (A&C were very kind to give several free street parking areas). There is valet available at the hotel/condo, though expensive. We ended up parking at a nearby parking garage every time (street parking not available) that was ~$20/24 hrs. Not terrible, but something to keep in mind cost-wise! Overall would highly recommend the "Pearl"!
leslie2016-02-06T00:00:00ZWe loved staying at Angela and Cyrille's apartment. Everything was delightful and communication was great before, during and after our stay. The location was convenient for everything we wanted to do during our stay in Honolulu. Definitely recommend staying here - it was our first visit to Hawaii and the great accommodation really added to the wonderful time we had!
Tanya2016-12-27T00:00:00ZWe had a nice stay! The condo is in a busy hotel, with lots of stores on the main floor and friendly staff that helped us with our itinerary. It is a 10 minute walk to Ala Moana mall, which has lots of stores and is a great transfer point for buses. Angela and Cyrille were very friendly, helpful and quick to respond to messages. We would recommend staying here. --Adam & Chrisia
Adam2014-06-20T00:00:00ZVery nice place and clean room. Also,Angela and Cyrilleis very kind. I wanna come back same room soon!
ami2017-04-29T00:00:00ZThe Pearl is a beautiful condominium at The Ilikai. It had everything we needed from beach towels to extra pillows and even a blow dryer. There's so many shops and restaurants within walking distance including the Ala Mona Center. The lanai had a nice view of the city which is nice at night with all the lights lit up. The king size bed was comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped for home cooked meals.
Melina2014-11-10T00:00:00ZWe just spent a week at this gorgeous apartment! We found it beautifully furnished and very clean. Although there is no ocean view (i'd looked at so many apartments I couldn't remember) there are nice night views of the city and mountains and a nice breeze on most nights. When the balcony doors are closed there is next to no traffic noise. The apartment is right next to the Hilton Village with easy access to Ala Moana shopping centre. If you are staying on a weekend venture over to Ala Moana beach for a taste of local beach life.. more low key than Waikiki! Angela and Cyrille were overseas during our visit but still found the time to touch base and see how we were going which we thought was lovely. Mahalo to you both for sharing your little slice of Hawaii heaven.
Sandra 2013-06-25T00:00:00ZWe had a very good time at Angela & Cyrille's place. The location and the amenities worked quite well for us. Angela & Cyrille were wonderful hosts with great attention to detail leading up to the visit and with information in the apartment. We would stay there again. Thanks!
Frank2013-12-21T00:00:00ZFab location in the Ilikai Hotel, parking available on the street behind the tower. Bed was so comfortable and the unit spotless. Would definitely return.

Kevin's condo was great! Clean. Beautiful. Comfortable. Well maintained. Good location. Who could ask for more in a vacation spot? Kevin is a great (virtual) host. He responded quickly to the booking request and to subsequent inquiries. He shared his family's favorite food and activity spots.
Eun-Mee2014-10-13T00:00:00ZLovely modern flat! Checkin was easy and the concierge service was really helpful to plan my trip! The kitchen was really nice and the bed was super comfortable! I also enjoyed the Netflix :) Would definitely recommend!
Jacqueline2016-12-17T00:00:00ZKevin's place is perfect. The neighborhood is perfect. Kauai is perfect. I can't think of anything about our stay that wasn't perfect. I echo the same things that all the other positive reviews say about Kevin's condo. I was sincerely amazed at the value of how little we paid compared to the quality of stay. AMAZING! 5 STARS!!
Jared2016-09-12T00:00:00ZKevin's home was very nice in the beautiful community of Princeville. Check in was a breeze and the people at the front desk upon arrival were extremely nice and had a little welcoming package. The location was great and located near the fun little town of Hanalei. The accommodations in the apartment were great and the bed was incredibly comfortable after a long day of paddling the Napali coast. My wife and I would certainly stay here again if we get the chance to come back to Kauai!
Robbie2016-09-24T00:00:00ZCondo was as pictured in listing. It's very spacious and has an updated kitchen though we didn't use it. It has two TVs with cable, Netflix, etc and fast internet. It was nice to have a washer/dryer with supplies to do one load of laundry. Cliffs has a nice pool and spas. Downsides: one of the shower heads in the bath didn't stay on the arm, saw two small roaches during our 2 night stay and check-in wasn't smooth. We were supposed to be able to check in by giving the front desk our name but the front desk could not find our reservation and asked for the unit number and for me to forward them the reservation. It took about 20 min to get this straightened out.
mardi2017-05-03T00:00:00ZNice condo located near Princeville. Close to picking up some items and for a central spot for the North side of the island.
Gary2016-10-05T00:00:00ZKevin was an excellent host. The condo was huge, very clean and exactly as advertised. It was conveniently located many of the north shore attractions. Would definitely stay here again on my next visit to Kauai.
Sarah2016-11-13T00:00:00ZKevin's place was awesome! Super clean and spacious! Everything was available that we needed to cook dinner and even Tupperware to store the leftovers! Kevin also had coolers to borrow that made full days at the beach even better! The Cliffs are quiet and beautiful and we will definitely be back.

Chris2017-05-07T00:00:00ZThe house was amazing. Had a beautiful view. Fit the whole family of 7 comfortably. Geoff and Amanda were great and quick at responding.
Jj2017-05-05T00:00:00ZHouse was exactly like represented in the photos. Our family was together and happy.
Gloria2017-05-02T00:00:00ZGreat property with awesome views!
Gopesh2017-04-28T00:00:00ZFantastic house - modern, stylish, spacious, well equiped and clean. The location overlooking the ocean is fabulous, and it's easy to explore the north shore of Oahu from here (beaches, Polynesian Cultural Centre, shrimp trucks etc). Geoff & Amanda are great hosts, quick to respond and really helpful. We had a wonderful time with our families and i would highly recommend this place.
Claire2017-04-25T00:00:00ZWe're first time Arbnb folks who travelled with a multigenerational party of 6. We've been to Hawaii several times always staying at a resort in the past and were a little nervous taking the leap to more space but less amenities. Geoff and Amanda's place did not disappoint and they were attentive and very nice hosts. The location quiet and neighborhood lovely, the views, magnificent!!! Never have we been on a vacation where the whole group looked forward to heading back to the house just to see the view...which was mesmerizing. Whatever stress you arrive with just melts away. Whale season is at the close but still several sightings from the back deck. The house is really nicely done, simple, clean and modern. We saw and met our neighbors, though our duplexes were very private. The north shore in general was really fun...quiet, beaches everywhere (though some really turbulent water to note if you have kids). If we had one knock on the location it's that local restaurants are really sparse so we cooked a bit more than we'd bargained for...but we'd trade it any day for that view and the sound of crashing waves lulling us to sleep. If we could rate it 6 stars we would...all around excellent value that over delivered!

We loved our time at Aloha Studio. Hannah greeted us a few minutes after we arrived and gave us great suggestions and answered all our newbie questions. Dominique had just gotten back from being away (we met him the next night -- he was very friendly and talked with about our trip so far -- and offered wonderful suggestions). The place is clean and has everything you need to enjoy your stay in Maui. The kitchenette was a good size for us with a small refrigerator/freezer, plates, utensils, and cutting board. The laundry room has plenty of gear for the beach. Your are only a few minutes from the beach where the sand feels like velvet. We watched our first sunset in Hawaii. The first and last thing we enjoyed each day was sitting on the deck and enjoy the sounds of the birds. The a/c was appreciated as we adjusted to a tropical climate. Mahalo!
Gwen2016-08-17T00:00:00ZThis was a wonderful spot to stay on our two-week Hawaii adventure. The room had all the essentials - tea, hot plates, a fridge, AC, a fan, computer with internet, a comfy bed, tv, a tub and shower combo with GREAT water pressure, access to the laundry room, a cute little porch, and was super close to the beach and to town. He had printed recommendations for things to do and places to eat, and he clearly listed the house rules, and provided all the information necessary for us to feel at home in our studio. Dom was very kind when we met him, and we spent quite a while chatting. He's a great host. I highly recommend staying at his place on your trip to Maui. We were in the Aloha Studio, and it was perfect.
Olivia2016-11-02T00:00:00ZMy husband, toddler, and I stayed at the Aloha Studio for four nights in early November. We had a wonderful stay at the Aloha Studio - I can't say enough good things about the studio and Dominique. The unit is in a quiet neighborhood and set back a bit from the road, and you go past a few small fountains and lush greenery to the lanai and entrance, which really makes it feel like a retreat. The lanai is wonderful for morning coffee or takeout, and we had many meals there, and there are strings of light hung up that make it very atmospheric at night. The unit itself is bigger than it looks in the picture, and has everything we needed (and more). The bed was very comfortable, although we did hear the 'insomniac rooster' mentioned in an earlier review (although with a toddler on pacific time, it wasn't a huge issue). There is a small room in the front of the building with the washer and dryer, and Dominique has it conveniently stocked with beach gear, and we were happy to be able to borrow beach mats and sand toys. There is an outdoor shower and hose to clean the sand off yourself and your gear, which is really handy. The location is fantastic - we did walk to the beach near the unit once, but for swimming, snorkeling, and playing in the sand we were an easy drive (10-20 min) to some of the southern beaches. It is near to the Kihei restaurants and shops and very convenient. Dominique was a great host, checked in with us regularly to make sure everything was okay, and had wonderful suggestions for us. In particular, our toddler is going through a stage where she doesn't want to be in the car very much, and Dominique was able to suggest some good hikes that let us experience the lush, tropical side of Maui without driving too far. Thank you, Dominique and Aloha Studio - we had a wonderful vacation and can't wait to come back!
Mara2014-11-10T00:00:00ZDominique's place is very charming and has a nice private lanai surrounded by tropical plants. It is close to the beach which is across the street. There are plenty of restaurants close by.
Deb2016-12-19T00:00:00ZWow. Totally surpassed my expectations! I wish we'd spent more time here. The location is excellent (ultra-quiet beach right across the street), the studio is great, and Gaby and Dominique were excellent hosts. The studio itself was recently renovated and spotlessly clean (they are German / Swiss if that means anything!), bed was comfortable with high quality sheets and enough blanket variations to stay perfectly comfortable, decent closet space, big desk with computer, TV, several chairs, sofa, etc, everything one needed to cook even the nicest of meals, a full set of towels for both of us, and even a set of beach towels. The appliances are all new, too, and there's a good quality grill outside. The real highlight of the studio was the deck - it's set in the trees a bit, feels totally private and tropical, has a little fountain just beside it, and is cheerfully lit up by lights strung in the trees. GREAT atmosphere! Gabriella and Dominique are clearly travelers themselves because they thought of everything.
Tania2014-05-17T00:00:00ZDominique was very friendly, greeted us warmly, and gave us a good rundown of not-to-miss restaurants and beaches in the area. The location was perfect, less than a block from a pristine beach and only a ten minute walk from Kihei's nightlife hub. It was a perfect place to stay in Maui. Thank you for your hospitality.
Casey2014-09-07T00:00:00ZLoved it. He had everything nice and organized. Clean. Easy access in and out. If we needed anything as in towels or supplies,he was on top of it. They had laundry room. He let us know about any emergencies that came up. Lot of info about what was nearby and around. I highly recommend this service.
Rudy2016-12-16T00:00:00ZWe loved Dominique's place! Everything was super clean and organised... Great location; across the road from the beach, near to lots of restaurants and around the corner from a great coffee/donut place. Dominique was friendly and helpful. It's the perfect place to explore! We hope to have the chance to return to Maui and to this accommodation!

Although we unfortunately never got the chance to meet our hosts, they went out of their way to make us feel very welcome from the beginning to the end. They left us a beautiful card and bottle of wine to celebrate our 5th anniversary; also suggesting a restaurant in town called 'Bar Acuda' which was great. The listing was even better in real life, tastefully decorated unlike most other accommodation options in Hawaii. The area of Princeville was perfect, only a short distance from a grocery store, the fabulous town of Hanalei, and many beautiful beaches surrounded by wonderful scenery. We loved the place so much, that we even had a look at the purchasing prices in the area as a holiday home. Would definitely recommend staying here!
Natalie2015-08-19T00:00:00ZWe had a great time at Teddy's Princeville apartment! The apartment was exactly as described and in easy walking distance to several attractions. Teddy was a very responsive host and provided great recommendations for the area.
Caitlin2016-12-18T00:00:00ZTeddy was an excellent host, providing not only enough information to make finding and accessing the property easy, but also to make my stay on the island great. He provided a HUGE amount of local information about where to eat, shop, visit, explore - which was very welcome. The property is well maintained, very quiet, located in somewhat private and exclusive golf-course district. There are a few easy access beaches, shopping, and food places nearby, but you really need a car to explore further - which is to be expected on this island. Recommended property for singles or couples, and a highly recommended host.
Lane2016-08-18T00:00:00ZWe had a wonderful time! The place was clean, quite, comfy, and had a lovely view of the mountain from the balcony with a nice secluded feel. Teddy gave us great instructions that made everything very easy for our stay.
Sagan & Bill2016-02-23T00:00:00ZThe unit was perfect as if things were all brand new. It was very tidy. it is quiet, the bed comfortable with a nice view and the unit is well equipped especially in the kitchen and bathroom. Try to get there before dark however as otherwise it is hard to find the particular unit within the complex but Teddy was readily available by phone to help me get in. Overall a great location and I would return.
Patricia2016-01-03T00:00:00ZTeddy's place was adorable! You felt like you were in the middle of the rainforest when looking out on the balcony, but you could walk to the beach, a fancy resort aand a decent pizza place. The fact that it was in the same complex as the St. Regis threw us off at 1st, but that balcony made you forget it all. The shower had great water pressure and ample room. Provided us with great Kauai info, the most portable n convenient beach chairs, snorkels, a cooler and rain umbrellas. It was close to hikes, shops, food and great beaches on the north shore.
Neil & Tina2016-03-25T00:00:00ZGreat location, walking distance to Queen's Bath!
Danielle2015-07-01T00:00:00ZThis was a great place. The pictures and description were accurate. Beautiful view off the balcony. Ted was great to work with. We even called him late and he was helpful and friendly. Just overall a great experience.

Excellent place, with easy walking distance to all attractions (beach and shops!) It was great to have onsite parking(paid) at this location which made our stay /parking very convenient.
Rick2016-11-15T00:00:00ZDana personally welcomed us and showed us the room. The place is as described in the listing. The location is good - a close walk to Waikiki. The eatery Burgers & Sushi on the main floor of the building is great!
Thuc2016-04-24T00:00:00ZGreat use of the space! The design layout is very deceptively spacious with an upscale clean and modern minimalist yet cozy aesthetic. Gorgeous views of skyline, and Dana was super responsive! Definitely will stay here again.
Sally2017-04-12T00:00:00ZWe loved the large sink, the décor and the flooring were great. This corner unit had a nice breeze so we didn't need to use the air conditioner. Dana's daughter met us on time, and showed us the place. She was very nice and always reachable. We loved our stay here! Thank you Dana and her daughter!!
Elham 2015-04-12T00:00:00ZI can recommed this studio for other passengers. the location is good, and the atmosphere of the room is nice. Quick response, the attentive message, the owner of this hotel contacted me appropriately. I could spend great time in Hawaii. Thank you!!

Yang2017-01-15T00:00:00ZDana's apartment is well located for walking to the Waikiki beachfront and the shopping district. The apartment was very clean & the decor is lovely. She is a very quick communicator & lovely to deal with. We recommend Dana's place!

Yarden is such a sweetheart and professional to deal with. The place is exactly what was described. Beautiful view and awesomely clean studio. Privacy is a bit compromised since the building are so close to one another so you can't help but seeing and be seen by your neighbors. Overall it was a wonderful experience and we definitely will be back. Highly recommended!
Kai2010-11-18T00:00:00ZWe spent a fantastic vacation in Dana's place. Thank you, Dana! Everything was smooth and great!
Karen2014-03-30T00:00:00ZDana's place is really cool, the apartment has all that you need to get comfortable vacations, and at Ilikai tower (the condo) you will find two restaurants, a mini market and another stores. The location is good, it has a great view to the lagoon and the ocean, you can see friday's fireworks directly on the balcony. Waikiki downtown with its restaurants and shops is about 15 minutes walking. The only little issue is the sleep quality, it's relatively good but there are some noises that you can heard by night (there are services machines next to the unit)
Alvaro2015-06-08T00:00:00ZGreat location. Nice and cozy. I popped out and got a few groceries and made myself at home. Would stay again.
Jami2014-03-08T00:00:00ZI just returned to the mainland after spending four wonderful nights in Yarden's lovely condo located on the west end of Waikiki beach. I can't wait to go back and plan to stay longer next time. The condo looks just like pictured. The colors are bright and cheerful, and the beds and furniture are comfortable. I enjoyed spending time on the lanai relaxing and viewing the activity on the lagoon and the beach beyond. The neighboring condo residents were quiet and respectful. From inside the condo we never actually heard even a peep from either side. The kitchen is equipped with the necessities for doing basic cooking and food prep, with pots, pans, knives, dishes, and silverware. The bathroom is clean and roomy enough. Bathroom provisions include towels and wash cloths, a hair dryer, hand soap, and even a small bottle of shampoo. As mentioned by a previous reviewer, the bathtub/shower is very deep and can be a bit challenging to get into, especially for shorter people. I found that I really liked where Yarden's condo is located. It's on the quieter end of Waikiki beach and is just a few minute's drive to the Rodeo-drive style shopping on Kalakaua Ave. By foot, the walk would probably take 10-15 minutes. As far as parking is concerned; we used the Ilikai's valet parking each day. This was a bit expensive at $22/day, however, it was quick and easy, and the valet staff were a pleasure to see each day. Had we stayed longer we would have attempted to use the public parking lot on the beach side of the Ilikai. I think the prices listed were $4 for ten hours. This was my first experience using the Airbnb website for securing vacation accommodations. I admit to some trepidation in using the site as I do all that I can to make sure I'm not a victim of Internet fraud. I didn't like that I had to pay upfront for something I wasn't sure was going to work out. However, after reading the reviews of those who stayed at Yarden's condo, communicating with Yarden via email, and reading the NY Times article on Airbnb, I felt more comfortable with the whole thing. Given having such a positive first experience with Airbnb, I plan to use the Airbnb site for booking future travel accommodations, and I certainly plan to return to Yarden's condo for another stay. The value of this condo given it's location, cleanliness, and ocean view can't be beat.
Jeannie2011-03-09T00:00:00ZWe stayed at Yarden's beautiful condo for a short two days stay at the beginning of our trip to Oahu on Valentine's day. It defined the beginning of our 1st trip to Hawaii - waking up to a stunning oceanfront view and having a cup of tea on the balcony before heading out to explore downtown Waikiki. The condo is absolutely clean and has all the kitchen supplies you would need - not that we did considering we were only staying in Waikiki for 2 days - but if you were to stay in downtown for a longer period, you'd probably want to cook some of your own food. There is a guestbook there with recommended restaurants to go and a guidebook in the room which is helpful. Location is also very convenient - walkable to many amenities in downtown.
Dave2013-02-17T00:00:00ZThe Apartment was wonderful. Dana was a really helpful host! We had a great time in waikiki. You have the beach outside the door, supermarket in the building and a great restaurant ("goofy's") right around the corner! would come back anytime! Thanks for everything!
Martin2015-01-24T00:00:00ZYarden has been a great host! She was very prompt in taking care of two minor problems that occurred during my stay in her apartment and made great recommendations for things to do in the area neighboring the studio. The photos of her place are accurate. The studio is very nice and clean and it is convenient to the beach and to Waikiki. The view off the balcony is wonderful. If you like to walk, you can be in 45 minutes at the bottom of Diamond Head, or the wonderful Saturday Farmers Market, or Chinatown. You can also take a bus from the front of the building to the same places, or to Pearl Harbor (the ride is ~45 minutes). All in all, this was a great deal, for a very nice place, and Yarden was great too!

Can't beat the view! Great location, short drive to beautiful West Maui beaches. 10 min drive to Lahaina shops and restaurants. The beach towels, boogie boards, beach chairs, and snorkel equipment were great to have. Looking forward to our next stay!
Jennifer2017-05-15T00:00:00ZGreat clean place with a great view
Jennifer2017-05-11T00:00:00ZJay's place is amazing. It looks out over the ocean and we got to see about a dozen large sea turtles during our stay. We hope to return for a longer stay and highly recommend Jay's place to others.
Jen2017-05-01T00:00:00ZJay's place is perfectly named -- Direct Ocean -- being a 3rd floor walkup (and top floor) makes it perfect -- no neighbor noises -- of course the ocean sets the tone (pun intended) for it's soothing sound--Jay's unit is perfectly situated and a super value if you are comparison shopping--Clean, quite and well furnished -- you will not be disappointed -- so, reserve today and check this task off your vacation things-to-do-list!! And to top off these comments, please know that my wife and I are Airbnb hosts who are completely focused on providing our guests with their best value and experience!
Terry & Dannie2017-04-16T00:00:00ZThe location was great. We were able to get everywhere around the island by car. There is assigned parking, so we didn't have to worry about parking on the street. The condo was well stocked with everything we needed. We didn't do any cooking, but he had all the necessary supplies for cooking a full meal. The beach gear (chairs, umbrellas, cooler bag, etc) was nice to have and made everything much easier. There is a coin operated laundry across the street in case you need it. The view was beautiful, as you can see from the pictures. It was nice to hang out on the balcony and eat breakfast in front of the ocean. We would definitely stay at Jay's condo on a future trip. Thank you, Jay!
Jeremy2017-04-08T00:00:00Z10/10 highly recommend. Hands down the best Air B and B I've ever booked. Thank you Jay for a great home to stay in Maui. The bed was very comfortable, he was able to get us a volleyball, he responded within minutes of contracting him. He was an overall great host, and the home was perfect. Will come back to this spot forsure.
Kyle 2017-03-27T00:00:00ZThe view is absolutely breathtaking! Should definitely grab some ice cream and enjoy the sunset on the lanai! You may catch a glimpse of some sea turtles and whales as well!
Tina2017-03-23T00:00:00ZGreat place. Pics don't lie. You are on the top floor and only 10 feet away from the water. Watched whales breach off in the distance and turtles swim by the shore.

This place was everything it said it would be and more! The location was absolutely amazing-literally steps to the soft sand and turquoise water. We couldn't have asked for better hosts. Cheri and Scott have thought of everything! Coffee, macadamia nuts and fresh papaya and bananas from their garden upon arrival. Easy contact with Cheri throughout the trip (and Jen for check in as well)! The room off the kitchen was the best place to spend a rainy day (yes sadly it rains in Hawaii) reading a book and listening to the rain fall in the garden. We could truthfully not have asked for a better place or better hosts! If you're staying in Kailua this is the only place to consider!!! Mahalo!!!!
Ryan2017-04-22T00:00:00ZMy fiancé and I had the best vacation staying at Cheri and Michel's place! Kailua Beach Park is literally your backyard and perfect for days when you get want to hang around and just go to the beach. Cheri and Michel have a beautiful home full of lush and gorgeous plant life. It was so relaxing and wonderful. They were the friendliest hosts and so helpful, they made us the most delicious banana bread that we are still talking about! Very wonderful and kind people, we hope to be able to stay at their home again in the future!
Allana2017-04-14T00:00:00ZWe had such a warm welcome at Cheri's place. Everything really everything is provided and the moment we got there a we had a perfect week in Hawaii. It is an unforgettable experience to stay here. A real gem. Mahalo for everything. Can't wait to be back again.
Vidya 2017-03-26T00:00:00ZWe loved staying here with the beautiful garden and so close to the beach. It really is steps to the beach! It was great to have the beach chairs which were so easy to put on like a back pack and go down to the beach. Cheri and her husband are so friendly and accommodating whike giving their guests just the right amount of space to enjoy their vacation. Their beautiful place is in such a great location. We could walk to Kailua beach, Buzz's, Lanikai beach, the paddle board and kayak rental place and Island Snow among other great places. It was a wonderful trip!
Kara2017-03-18T00:00:00ZThe bungalow was absolutely perfect for comfort, amenities, location to beach/shops. Perfect amount of seclusion yet still easy access to everything you need. The lush grounds were so beautiful & serene with a private patio area and walkway to beach. Communication with Cheri & Scott was a breeze and they even gave us a bottle of champagne for my boyfriends birthday! Great hosts & property- we can't wait to come back!
R+J2017-03-08T00:00:00ZWe loved every minute of our stay with Cheri and Scott! They have impeccable taste - from the location of their home, decor, and gardening talent, to their restaurant suggestions and lovely amenities throughout the home. This was hands down one of our favorite trips!
Lisa2017-02-26T00:00:00ZWe loved the walk through the garden to Kaulia beach, which is stunningly beautiful and in very close proximity. We enjoyed staying in Kailua area as well, which has great shops and restaurants. Cheri is a thoughtful host and provided lovely amenities - from locally made soap and good snacks, to beach chairs and umbrellas - which we did unfortunately have to use. Also a surprise gift when we mentioned we were celebrating our 10 year anniversary - very thoughtful and appreciated! We highly recommend staying here.
Amy2017-02-13T00:00:00ZWalk to Kailua Beach or to the famed market next door, this is a lovely and tranquil spot with nearby restaurants that are my personal favorites with lots of Asian food or American cuisine nearby. The sound of the surf all night is so restful. The hosts are terrific - there when you need them and out of sight when privacy is wanted. we popped over to Honolulu easily, or drove to Waimanalo, or Haleiwa easily enough. The best of Hawaii there and nearby. Ho'omaluhia Gardens in Kaneohe and Valley of the Temples are not to be missed.

Thomas's condo is one of the most thoughtful and well appointed spaces I've ever had the pleasure of staying in. The amenities are all beautiful, there was a lot of thought and care in every detail down to the small notes for instructions. If you have the opportunity to book you should take it right away.
Jerad2015-08-14T00:00:00ZWe loved Thomas' condo! It was our first visit to Maui and we were comfortable and enjoyed the walkability of Kihei. Thomas was an EXCELLENT host - he always responded promptly and was very accommodating.
McCrae2016-12-09T00:00:00ZThomas did a great job making us feel welcome. The condo was very clean and stocked well with towels, beach gear, kitchen utensils, and other essentials. The parking was easy, and there were shops and restaurants within walking distance. It was everything Thomas said it would be. We had a great time and would recommend it for any couple. We enjoyed the hot tub, pool, and the view(URL HIDDEN)
Gary2015-09-12T00:00:00ZWe absolutely LOVED our time at Thomas's home! We walked in to a welcoming surprise for our anniversary, cold water in bottles, chocolate, and really clear descriptions for how to use everything! We so appreciated the equipment and amenities he provided and my husband was so impressed by the comfortable And classy decor around the home! We were so blessed by the whole experience and it was way better than any hotel I've been to! I wish I could keep the secret to myself but we really support his place and his hospitality! TOTALLY recommended it and we already want to come back!
Arianna2016-05-17T00:00:00ZThomas was an absolutely amazing host. This place is in a great location. My girlfriend and I were vey impressed with this upscale modernized condo. Thomas went above and beyond to help assist me with all my needs and request. I would highly recommend EVERYONE to stay here. Thank you Thomas for such an enjoyable stay and your awesome hospitality. Side note, if you like tacos and are looking for a low key simple food truck feel one I evening, eat at the Guadalajara taco stand! It helps support the church and the food is absolutely AMAZING!
Shaun2016-12-12T00:00:00ZThe place was wonderful. I would go back in a heart beat.
Lucas2016-07-04T00:00:00ZI rarely write reviews, but I felt I had to share our experience staying at Thomas' place. I paused at first when we arrived because the exterior isn't all the impressive. However, when we entered, I was relieved and impressed. The place is beautiful and met all our needs: clean; excellent view of the beach (especially during sunset); spacious for two (in fact I wished my kids were with us so they could enjoy the loft); firm bed; washer/dryer; close to grocery store, restaurants, bars and other amenities; and hassle-free parking. There were beach chairs and coolers and board games for kids/family. It's a great place to stay with your significant other and/or family, and the price is unbeatable. I definitely recommend Thomas' place. Mahalo, Thomas!
Romina2016-12-21T00:00:00ZI really can't say enough good things about this apartment and this host. Everything was exactly as pictured, and Thomas clearly went above and beyond in making our stay comfortable. The apartment felt bigger than it seemed in the pictures, also. Getting into the apartment was really convenient, and the parking lot always had plenty of spaces for our car. Very conveniently located within walking distance many shops and restaurants, and we could easily walk to one of the best beaches in Maui! We also found it very centrally located for getting around in Maui. We loved it and would definitely stay again if we're ever fortunate enough to return to Maui! Thanks Thomas!

Nam2017-05-10T00:00:00ZExactly as pictured. Great surf watching. Excellent location. Hot water is generated by solar panels weather permitting.
Nicholas2017-04-30T00:00:00ZFabulous location. Literally on the sand. We had an amazing week waking up to the best surf in the world. Fantastic BBQ on the deck. We didn't eat out once, just shopped for great meat and fish at Foodland and stayed in. Apart from great WIFI keeping my husband looking at work emails, we lived off the grid. Amazing. Note there are no beach towels but you can buy some at the local shops. Highly recommend this place. We will be back! Oh and loved the cat too.
Di2017-04-21T00:00:00ZThe most perfect little house in the most perfect location. If you love nature and surfing this is for you. Don't recommend swimming at the beach in front of the house unless you are a very confident surfer and families with little kids might not fund this relaxing. We however loved it. Mele's veggie basket is a must and the elephant Thai food truck nearby is epic. House was clean and very comfortable. Having a car made our stay even better as we could visit beaches and the lovely Waimea botanic gardens and waterfall.
Lisa2017-04-15T00:00:00ZWe had a great stay at Meleana's place!! The location was amazing, right on the beach it was perfect. One bedroom is more private with a door and AC, we enjoyed this! Pros: Spacious kitchen, huge fridge Beach toys, chairs, umbrella AC in ONE bedroom LOCATION, great views Bluetooth speaker was great for the deck Lots of ceiling fans! Cons: 4 checked guests and only 2 beach towels and 3 shower towels. Kitchen pans have no finish and need to be replaced. Deck stairs to the beach were a little unstable and had a few rotted boards All it all - we had a great time. And we will definitely book this home again if we return to the north shore! With a few small improvements and a little TLC, this home is 5/5. Mahalo Meleana :)
Joel 2017-04-05T00:00:00ZWe love this home. It's the best vibe. The best. It's all there. Everything you need. Thank you for having us. Looking forward to our next visit.
Daniel2017-03-30T00:00:00ZMele was an amazing host. Super easy to contact and get any information from. I couldn't complain about the home even if I tried! Perfect location for anyone wanting to experience the north shore. Would love to stay here again if I get the chance!
Kurt2017-03-25T00:00:00ZWonderful holiday. Waking up to the ocean view every morning was priceless. The home was fully equipped and identical to what you see in the images. It was overall very clean but cottage-like. We enjoyed every moment spent on the patio eating our meals or relaxing out on the beach in front of the home. Main bedroom was very comfortable but hide-away bed was quite uncomfortable. Hard to complain though waking up for panoramic views of the ocean and listening to the waves crashing. We will be back!

Hidekazu2015-10-14T00:00:00ZThis place is exactly as advertised. You really couldn't ask for more. If you're going to rent a car, absolutely book this place. Having parking just a couple blocks away is a super nice luxury in an area where parking is either impossible to find or super expensive overnight. We loved how outside air just flows right through the apartment. It felt perfect. The place itself is just as great as it looks in the pictures. You are situated just a short walk to the beach and shops. There is an ABC Store some 100 yards from the apartment for your last minute needs. Barbara arrived to greet us right when we got there, and always responded swiftly to my messages in the days leading up to our arrival.
Yashar2016-04-17T00:00:00ZBarb was a great host and did an excellent job of communicating. The pictures of her place are accurate. As another reviewer noted, parking is a few blocks away. Overall we had a very nice experience.
Mike2016-07-12T00:00:00ZBarbora was a lovely host! She was so friendly when she met us to do the key handover and show us around. The apartment is stylish and tidy. The location is fantastic as well, such an easy walk to many central shops and restaurants. What comes with that amazing downtown location is city lights and noise. We understood this when booking but found it hard to sleep even with all windows shut and blinds drawn, because some of the shutters do not close and the curtains are fairly light.
Julia2017-04-16T00:00:00ZClose to shops and the beach, which made it easy to have a relaxing holiday! Apartment was very clean and had everything we needed for our time away! Was a perfect home away from home.
Georgia2017-05-03T00:00:00ZLove this place!!! warm welcome, Borbora is very nice and helpful. The condo is as described on Airbnd, very nicely decorated, super clean, even if there is no A/C, with the two super ceiling fan in each piece, it's great. Well equipped, everything you need is there. Very secured, this condo benefits of a great location. 5 minutes walk to the Waikiki beach. GREAT place, as described, no surprise ;-))
Diane2015-09-02T00:00:00ZBarbara met us immediately and got us into her place in under an hour of booking. Amazing. The place is great if are looking to just crash out. The place however is open air and in the city so very noisy and no a/c or TV to drown the noise. I highly recommend this place if u have a group of people and just need a place to sleep before heading out to start ur day. And it includes parking which hotels charge $20+ daily so with a group its a serious value.
Kris2015-07-26T00:00:00ZBarbora was very accommodating with the checkin time. Great location, clean apartment, very convenient parking location.
