  • This is a great location - beautiful, secluded, quiet and with little added amenities that the hosts don't mention. The little surprises are so nice and welcome! The only thing that wasn't perfect was the low shower pressure but lovely otherwise.

  • We have stayed at several airbnb's in the past and this was by far the BEST one ever! Everything is so well appointed and so much detail went into the decor and ease for the for the guest. Randy and Barbara truly care about their guests. The adjective used in the description, "Lovely" should be changed to "EXCEPTIONAL"! This place exceeded our expectations! So very clean! The beds were oh, so comfy and there were so many thoughtful touches, like plush towels, homemade soap, a Kuerig with a variety of K-cups, a beautiful private courtyard lined with gorgeous floral arrangements and complimentary soft drinks. We plan to stay there every time we visit the Berkshires! We certainly would give a 10-STAR review... if only it was available! Thanks so very much Barbara and Randy. Gratefully, Ann & Ted

  • 1st I must say that the overall experience with our hosts Randy and Barbara was fantastic. Communication was great and the little snack when we got there was perfect. The suite is prestine, bed super comfortable and it has a perfectly landscaped private entrance and patio which we sat out with a glass of wine and watched the stars! Our only regret is that we had just one night! We will definitely be back!!

    Brenda 2017-07-06T00:00:00Z
  • Barbara and Randy and perfect hosts. Their space is perfect-clean, comfortable and charming! Thengardens and back patio is as described- while we didn't have time to sit out there it was lovely to admire! The rooms are comfortable and cozy. They provided little extras like cold drinks and snacks which were really great to have after a long drive on Friday night and throughout the weekend. They had lots of helpful suggestions about where to eat and what to do. We especially appreciated that they lent us lawn chairs so we could use them to go to Tanglewood! Being in this location was great because we were halfway to Mass MOCA and Lenox-and near a great rail trail for biking (or walking/running-itbwas a beautiful 11 milenpaved trail with great views of water). Barbara and Randy are a great couple and we would definitely consider going back to their Airbnb!

    Elizabeth2017-08-06T00:00:00Z
  • Barbara and Randy's home is located in a great spot surrounded by nature. Not only were the hosts very great, but they were also right across the street! Haha. The house was looking neat, organized and renovated. My mother and her friend loved it. Barbara was a very concerned host when it came to my moms accident which is very much appreciated. We will definitely be coming back!

    anna2017-08-31T00:00:00Z
  • Barbara and Randy's Home was a hidden gem in the Berkshires. Check-in and communication was a breeze and they were very flexible with a early check out. We would recommend this place and would love to stay here again!

    Coumba2017-09-03T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment was as described. It's very roomy, beautifully decorated, exceptionally comfortable... and Barbara and Randy have put lots of effort into some very thoughtful appointments and helpful items. We were there to explore Ramblewild and were pleasantly surprised to find it was directly across the street. Would highly recommend this unit and these hosts. Fabulous time.

    Kristina2017-10-01T00:00:00Z
  • We had the most delightful time at Barbara and Randy's beautiful guest suite. We were two couples traveling to the Berkshires for a short vacation of biking and hiking and museums. Each evening we looked forward to coming back to our beautifully decorated, relaxing home-away-from-home for a glass of wine before bed (with wine and wine glasses care of our hosts) with plenty of space in the living room to sit and talk and read and relax. Barbara and Randy thought of everything -- dishes, snacks, cold drinks, fully stocked Keurig and the most wonderful linens and blankets. Great location for access to Williamstown, big path, Lennox, Pittsfield, etc. We are recommending to our friends and are hoping to make it back asap!

  • David is very helpful, amenable, thoughtful. Room had the basics, nice bedding. Shared space, many guest rooms, but all very quiet.

    Cindy2017-09-03T00:00:00Z
  • The common living room at kitchen access is great, and the rooms offer needed privacy, very nice and we'll managed I loved it

    Ember2017-08-21T00:00:00Z
  • I spent a weekend at the Berkshires to watch Barrington Stage Company's shows and found this little gem. I didn't rent a car so I took the bus to Pittsfield and then walked to Sharon's place, which was roughly 30-40 minutes from downtown (leisurely pace.) The room was exactly as described. The A/C was a lifesaver and there was even a fridge inside the room! A few blocks away is a deli and sub sandwich place; as well as a supermarket (5-7 mins walk). Overall I'd stay here again. Safe area. Clean. Part of the room's floor was a bit slanted (by the window) but it didn't bother me at all. I'd stay here again when visiting the Berkshires.

    Joseph2017-08-20T00:00:00Z
  • The place was very neat and clean and had a lot of nice amenities David was very nice and a great host

    Eric2017-09-16T00:00:00Z
  • The bedroom is reasonably clean. The rest of the house is unkempt and there is a cooking odor throughout the house.

  • I had a good stay at Davids place. I had a 1 Bedroom in a 3 bed room apartments and shared a bathroom. I did have a few inconveniences but David was responsive to my needs. I'd recommend it for a short stay.

The oldest house in town, fully renovated. Two-story living room with pull-out couch; kitchen with stone counters and dishwasher, two bathrooms. Floorboards upstairs a foot wide; queen size bed with view over the trees, creek and porch.
It's a roomy red sawmill that's 260 years old. There is wonderful light from windows set high and low. It's located across the garden from the big grist mill where we live, on two acres of beautiful gardens, creek and woods.
New Lebanon, at the top of Columbia County, New York, is a pretty funky town, not a Norman Rockwell town. Many people drive right through it to go north for antiquing or skiing, to take the scenic pass into Massachusetts or to pick up the nearby NY thruway. Our town is so small that there's only one stoplight, and that's a blinking one. There's no night life to speak of, no sidewalks, and we lack a big grocery store. The upside is that our location right next to the Berkshires is what makes the old sawmill such a good value, and so good for exploring. You can get easily to almost all the places you want to go-- more easily, we find, than from some of the Berkshire towns themselves. And whatever New Lebanon lacks in picket fences, it offers in glorious hillside viewscapes. The town has a remarkable allotment of Shaker history, such as the massive square ruins of the Great Stone Barn at Mount Lebanon. This was recognized by the World Monuments Fund as one of the 100 most significant endangered sites in the world, and it's right here and easy to visit. Lebanon Springs was also utterly famous in the nineteenth century for its warm water spa, frequented by luminaries like Charles Dickens, Mark Twain and the Marquis de Lafayette. The spring still courses down the hillside, but in obscurity now. There is plenty to enjoy here. Stop at Blueberry Hill Market Cafe for coffee and something delicious for breakfast or lunch. Try M&M's for a late dinner of burgers, wings, and some craft beer, or reserve at Mario's for a fancy meal. Trek by the beaver dams at Hand Hollow Conservation Area. Go to Meissner's on a Saturday at 4 for their antique auctions, where we've found astonishing values. You'll find a lot of information about local options in our online Guidebook. Our location turns out to be an excellent base for the range of travel and exploration in this area, or just for staying put and enjoying a rural escape, as so many of our airbnb guests have told us.
  • My husband and I went to the Old Saw Mill and had a great time. Joe was very nice and happily welcomed us as soon as we got there. The house was beautiful, very clean and well maintained! My husband had a 24 hour bug our first full day there and we were both upset that there wouldnt be much for us to do our last full day there (a Sunday). Not the case! We woke up and started the day at Blueberry Hill Cafe. What an establishment! I only wish I had one near me- an absolute MUST go to for any visitor! Our next stop was a very big flea market across the street which had many lovely antiques! If you love antiquing, this is definitely the town for you!.... After that, we went to Hancock Shaker Village (in MA about 10+ minutes away) which was great! Its a historic village and farm filled with tons of adorable farm animals (mama's and babies). If you love animals this too is a MUST go-to! All the animals were incredibley cute, friendly and loved to be pet. The staff was also very friendly. After spending 2hrs there, we then went to the Hand Hollow Conservation area for a hike (about 10 minutes from the house in the opposite direction)... We got here too late in the day to see all the birds (and maybe a month too early so see all the greenery) but nonetheless we still enjoyed and it was still beautiful. LASTLY, we visited MnM's Tavern which had good food, a good live band and a fun environment. The names descriptions of their Buffalo Wings is also entertaining! Thank you Joe for opening up your home to us we had a lovely time!

  • We had a wonderful experience staying at The Sawmill! The house was extremely comfortable and Joe and Fiona were truly the perfect hosts. Their thoughtfulness and concern for our comfort and enjoyment was evident in every conversation & throughout the home. The bed was comfortable, the kitchen was well stocked and the house was clean, private and lovely. We had the pleasure of meeting 2 of Joe & Fiona's children & their friendly cat! The location was perfect for everything we wanted to do. We went to 2 concerts at Tanglewood - one with reserved seats & one on the lawn. Each was a very different experience from the other & both were great. We did 2 bike rides through absolutely beautiful countryside. We will be emailing the route details to Joe and Fiona in case others want to try them. We spent some time at Queechy Lake, courtesy of Joe & Fiona's membership. It is a very clean lake with a small private beach, a great place to swim & relax. We enjoyed casual meals at Blueberry Hill and a nicer dinner at Marios. Guido's was a great place to buy food for a picnic at Tanglewood. The back deck at the Sawmill is very private and we loved having breakfast out there. We got farm fresh eggs at a nearby stand and enjoyed the farm fresh milk Joe and Fiona had in the fridge for us! That was one of several lovely surprises they had waiting for us. We had friends visit for one night & they slept comfortably on the pullout couch. Having 2 full bathrooms made it very easy. We hope to visit again soon. There were too many special touches for me to elaborate on, but if I could give Joe, Fiona & The Sawmill more than 5 stars, I would!

  • I and my husband Alby stayed at Joe and Fiona's place for my birthday weekend. We simply loved everything about the place and the hosts! The mill is simply and incredibly welcoming and cozy! I would love this old sawmill to be my home all year round! Bright and spacious rooms, super comfy bed, kitchen provided with all possible tools to cook. We enjoyed having the coffee on the patio in the morning, in the sunshine surrounded by the beautiful and so well kept garden. The house is so beautiful with so many books and old family photos and art works. We fell in love with the place. Moreover, we were so happy to meet Joe and Fiona. They have been the best hosts we have ever met on Airbnb. Joe introduced us to the house, waiting for us at our arrival and showing us the entire place. They have been always willing to help and so kind and smiling: two very special people that we will always remember. We had two fantastic days at the old sawmill and we'll get back for sure in Fall to visit beautiful Berkshires again. The location of Joe and Fiona's place is perfect to visit the Berkshire: we easily accessed all main points of interests and most popular towns. It was hard to say goodbye to the old house, but it's only an arrivederci! Thanks for everything and for having made my birthday so special!

    Serena2016-05-10T00:00:00Z
  • I thoroughly enjoyed my stay in this quiet, cozy and beautifully renovated place. Communication with Joe and Fiona was very easy, before as well as during my stay. Thank you both and I hope to be back one day!

  • If you're looking for a quiet, comfortable place to unwind in the country, the old sawmill is the place. I visited with my husband and one year old over Memorial Day. We brought a pack and play and put it in the bedroom with us. Fiona thoughtfully brought us gates to block the steep stairs and toys. The pantry staples helped us one night when I was making pasta and realized I forgot to buy sauce. Plus our son got to try chocolate milk for the first time because Fiona and Joe left lovely glass bottles of milk in the fridge. Considerate and detailed notes and touches make the difference!

    Liza2017-05-29T00:00:00Z
  • The saw mill was wonderful. Upon arrival, we were met by Fiona and her daughter (who was a great hostess!). After they showed us around, we enjoyed an evening out on the back deck. The mill is full of history and has so many beautiful details. We felt it was centrally located to reach many parts of the Berkshires and areas beyond. Joe and Fiona were very helpful and communicative. The mill was also comfortable and stocked with many essentials. Before we left we had the chance to visit with Joe and Fiona and learn more about the property. Staying at the saw mill is a highly recommended experience. We are already planning to return!

    Laura2017-05-14T00:00:00Z
  • Such a wonderful place! We appreciated the historic sawmill very much. It was the nicest accommodation on our hole holiday trip. A lovely old building, situated in a green garden in a nice region, decorated very tastefully and perfectly equipped. And furthermore very pleasant hosts with whom it was very easy to communicate before and during our stay. We would have loved to stay longer!

    Katharina2016-07-19T00:00:00Z
  • Joe and Fiona did a marvelous job of making us feel welcome. They shared the fascinating history of the property and region with us and suggested many good places for us to visit. The location is quiet yet convenient to historical sites and all the Berkshires have to offer. The sawmill is cozy, amazingly restored and well outfitted, whether for a short or long stay. The library in the sawmill was a treat, covering all kinds of topics, from local history to art to cooking to many other subjects. Would love to stay again when we're next in the neighborhood. Thanks Joe and Fiona!

Your own private and romantic getaway behind a small orchard. A sweet running brook and outdoor shower! A short drive to all Berkshire cultural events -- Tanglewood, Jacob's Pillow, theatre festivals and more. Great dining nearby. Perfect for 2!
  • Sam was extremely hospitable, the cabin and grounds were lovely

    Jennifer2016-09-26T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely time staying at this adorable little paradise! Sam was friendly and made himself very available for help, which helped us pick a great place for dinner! Thankfully there was also indoor shower, as it was too cold to use the outdoor one (but maybe next time!). It was a great breath of fresh air away from city life! (Also would like to use the outdoor fire pit next time, too!)

  • We loved our stay at the cabin and found Sam to be a wonderful host. Sam was waiting outside for us when we arrived. He greeted us and showed us around the cabin. He ensured we had everything we needed, and was kind and helpful. The cabin was quaint and clean. It suited us perfectly for the night we stayed and we wouldn't hesitate to stay there again!

    Meghan2016-09-19T00:00:00Z
  • This adorable little cabin was the perfect stay! Intimate and well appointed, it has all the essentials, plus the added perk of a wonderful outdoor shower. It was quiet, with just the babbling brook and bird calls to wake up to - a nice change of pace for a city dweller. The cabin is located a nice distance from the house so you have privacy but Sam is always nearby to assist if needed. The location is ideal, we were able to make it so many places that were just a short drive away.

    Alice2017-08-13T00:00:00Z
  • Really fun little spot. The cabin is essentially a bedroom and bathroom, but very retro-chic and comfortable . You walk across a long lawn/meadow to get to it behind the owners house-very private.Great star gazing at night. (Perhaps a bit inaccessible for someone who has walking limitations.) Also be sure to bring snacks with you, no real grocery availability nearby and you wouldn't cook anything there. Berkshire area is beautiful. Lovely lakes nearby.

    Mary2016-08-28T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful little cottage perfect for one or a couple. Comfortable bed. Mini fridge, microwave and mini coffee maker gave us the ability to make snacks and get going in the morning. Sam was kind enough to provide high-quality coffee for us. He was a great host: good communication, met us at the cottage to show us around, and left a number in we needed to get in touch. The general vibe is rustic, and the surroundings are gorgeous. Highly recommended if you want a quiet hideaway in Cheshire.

    Chris2017-06-26T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely loved our stay here. Sam is a very gracious host and the pictures are exactly right. We felt as if we were sleep with the birds in the woods - so peaceful and calming. Both my partner and I needed a break, and honestly this was perfect for us to "get away". The cottage is in the corner of Sam's backyard - and by that I mean, tucked away surrounded by trees and a brook. The one change from the picture is that Sam added a screened-in porch by the front door. So kept the door open at night - and slept to the sounds of the brook and birds. The bed was super comfortable. And the bonus, that in addition to the indoor shower, the cottage has an outside shower in the back facing the woods and the brook. I literally took all of my showers outside ......... it could not have been more peaceful. There's also a fire pit in the back but the weekend was too wet to actually use. We would definitely return to this cottage - without a doubt. It's because of experiences like these that I rave about to friends and family who are not yet using Airbnb. Sam - you're the best and your cottage is seriously amazing.

    Bob2016-07-18T00:00:00Z
  • We marveled at the beauty that surrounded us and enjoyed every moment of stay in this lovely house. Sam kindly helped us bring in our luggage, and quite thoughtfully brought us freshly-roasted coffee to enjoy. The tranquility of listening to the brook behind us and to the sounds of the wildlife made it an especially magical visit. The bed offered a wonderful night's sleep, and we also loved the porch, little breakfast table, the kitchen area, and the charming artwork. The location is peaceful and at the same time really versatile for hopping up to MassMOCA and Mount Greylock, or over to Jacob's Pillow. The helpful information Sam provided for us on the table inspired our activities, and it was great fun to have the Ashwilliticook Trail right down the road. We found the restoration and repose we were looking for in our sojourn! We would love to return again and thank Sam for his warm hospitality.

  • Cool location in a quiet beautiful part of the Berkshires. Highly Recommend. Thomas was a great host and offered a warm welcome. Great View of the mountains as well.

    Dan2017-06-18T00:00:00Z
  • Nice, clean place with a lovely view. The public areas (the kitchen and living room) are particularly spacious. The bedroom is very small especially because the very comfortable king sized bed takes up most of the room. But we weren't spending much time in there anyway. Tom and Susan were very hospitable. We particularly appreciated the flexibility in check in and check out times. It is on the expensive side, but greatly preferable to staying in a grade B hotel if you can manage the extra cost.

    Carol2017-08-06T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely stay at Thomas and Susan's house. This was our second time there over the course of a month. Thomas and Susan are great hosts and made both of our stays very comfortable. We came to ski at Jiminy Peak with our two kids, and couldn't have asked for more in a house. The house was very clean and had everything we needed. We will definitely be back!

    Tatiana2017-03-19T00:00:00Z
  • Very spacious condo with great view. Great location for a relaxing summer or a stay near ski slope in winter. Hosts very responsive.

Visit Tanglewood, Kripalu, Jacobs Pillow, Jiminy Peak, Bousquet Mountain, Lebanon Valley Speedway, Albany, Pittsfield, Lenox... go for a hike, ski, visit Furnace Brook Winery or just relax on our property and unwind.
First built in 1834, our house was a carriage house (with horse parlor) that was set behind the grand house unfortunately lost in a fire. Our house mostly survived the fire, was beautifully restored and has been used for several things....including an Inn, a restaurant and legend has it as being a Jin Joint during prohibition and used as a gangster hideaway,. It has also been a gambling house, roadhouse and in 1939 was raided by the Feds who seized $10,000 worth of gambling equipment. Rumor has it that it was possibly a stop for the Underground Railroad. In more recent years it was known as the Pillars Restaurant. The restaurant is now closed and We have turned it into our home. Large enough for weddings and gatherings. (Ask for details) 7 acres to checkout including a small stream. Plenty of paved parking.
Private and Quiet but close to New Lebanon Speedway and Skiing....Check out Jiminy Peak Ski and Mountain Adventure, or Bousquet Ski area. We are 13 minutes to Pittsfield Ma. About 35 minutes to Albany, 10 minutes to Furnace Brook Winery at Hilltop Orchards, 25 minutes to Tangelwood and Kripalu. There is also good fishing, hunting and hiking close to our home or just a chance to relax on this beautiful, historic property.
  • The Clarks were very hospitable and my brother and his wife had a comfortable stay.

    Russell2016-12-24T00:00:00Z
  • The place is huge! And beautiful. The Clarks really made us feel at home. We decided to go to Marios down the street in a moment of impromptu thinking. Although we weren't prepared for the dress code, the food was excellent! Recommended! Steve really went the extra mile to draw us up a map of the best way to get to Tanglewood so we could avoid traffic. This place has all the amenities you could want! It stays really cool in the summer, and you can get an awesome cross breeze with Windows open, or turn on the AC and shiver into Arctic oblivion. Next time I go to Tanglewood, I'll have to stop by the Clark's estate. Don't hesitate, just book it.

  • This Big comfortable apartment suite was perfect for my husband and I. Steve was so respectful of our privacy ( we are kind of introverted and asked for privacy and got exactly what we asked for) the huge windows are beautiful and we loved the cross breeze we got. This place is definitely a great deal. We would love to stay again.

    Justin And Cindy2017-10-02T00:00:00Z
  • The Clarks were very hospitable, it's a great location and clean. However it's listed as the entire home, so we were under the impression we would have more privacy, thinking they lived somewhere else on the property. The pictures make it seem like the fireplace, bar, and downstairs entertainment system are all yours, but you're really renting the apartment upstairs. The Clarks told us to feel free to make drinks at the bar, and they might light a fire later, but most of the time they were occupying the downstairs space. If you're looking for a reasonably priced place to come and go while you see the sights, this is great. If you're like me, looking for a private weekend by the fire with your signifcant other, this might not be the right place.

  • We were looking for a place to stay while visiting my daughter at nearby Darrow School. Jean couldn't have been nicer or more accommodating, and the studio suite was just perfect for our stay. Super clean, thoughtfully equipped - a full (twin?) bed on the main floor with a loft above with a queen bed. Nice kitchen and living room area with a nice porch off of the kitchen. Jean makes breakfast to order in the dining room below and greets you with warmth and a smile. We were so happy to have found Jean's place (dog friendly!), and look forward to staying again.

  • Liz's home is exactly as described, and very comfortable for 4. It appears to be recently renovated, with practically two living areas, one on each level. We enjoyed our meals on the deck and kayaking in the lake. Liz was very responsive to questions, and provided little touches that made it really feel like we were staying at a BNB. Best of all, the location can't be beat. Highly recommended and hope to visit again in the future.

  • This was our first experience with airbnb and as other people have shared, we couldn't have asked for anything better! Larry and Gail met us at the home, gave us a tour and made us feel very welcome. We discovered that this is a much better option than staying in a generic, vapid hotel. We loved it so much, we really hope to return!

  • My husband and I stayed at Manley Manor for a last minute long weekend break from the city. It was absolutely perfect! The property is beautifully decorated and furnished with everything you could need, it is very picturesque and quaint. The pictures do not do it justice. Surroundings wise The lake is very clean and a super short walk from the house. We kayaked and swam everyday there is a bar on the far side of the lake you can kayak to and stop for a refreshment! There is also a boat hire place if you fancy playing sailor for an afternoon. The house is a short drive from Mt Greylock a scenic state reserve with great trails. The neighbours are super friendly and their Labrador loves to stop by and say hello each morning. Now to Gail and Larry they were brilliant, we booked the house very last minute on a Thursday morning and arrived that evening, the place was spotless and Gail waited onsite to meet and welcome us and show us the dock at the lake and introduce us to the neighbours. They were both available before and during our stay on their cell and left us a bowl of fruit and bottle of red wine to welcome us which was an unexpected but much appreciated surprise after a 3 hour drive from work in the city to get there. They brought us a new grill as we mentioned we wanted to BBQ and were able to provide us with hints and tips of things to do in the surrounding area. They were great hosts and we will definitely be back!

    Lisa2014-06-23T00:00:00Z
  • This was our first AirBnb experience and wow wow wow! The bar was set so high at Manley Manor. Immaculately clean, super comfortable with two living room areas lovely outdoor porch perfect for morning breakfast with the family out doors and the biggest surprise of all a bottle of wine waiting for us, a refrigerator filled with OJ, bottle of champagne, a pack a beers and a bunch of basics to make our time so easy. The next door neighbors have this mini farm with 6 or 7 ducks that my two kids loved! The back yard is wonderful with a fire mountain (not really a pit because it's built up), we made a campfire one night and roasted marshmallows under the stars. It was wonderful. The lake is less then a block away and I took my kids down to skip stones and even though it was cold my son still ran in up to his waist in all his clothes on... was a good laugh. The area is beautiful especially with the lake right there. My son and I even found a hiking trail with Geocaches located only a few minutes away. We found 2 together! GREAT bonding time together. Manley Manor is modern and yet charming. Similar to another review my wife was ready to buy! HA! needless to say we will absolutely be returning to Manley Manor!!! I don't know how any other Airbnb can compare... it's going to be very hard to top!

  • Our group of 4 had a terrific time at Liz's house during the July 4th weekend. Liz was very communicative, accommodating, and generous -- a fantastic host. Before our arrival we asked about AC, and she had a window unit installed -- a big relief since the wknd was very hot. She also left us wine, snacks, and gave us detailed instructions on using her kayaks, and a handy binder with her full contact information and multiple pamphlets about activities and restaurant menus. We found the house to have every amenity we could possibly want -- big flat screen TVs in the living rooms (up and downstairs), fully stocked kitchen, outdoor patio gas grill and dining area, comfortable and clean bedrooms/bathrooms -- even full use of the washer/dryer. Everything was in excellent condition and we could not have been happier with the house, host, and our entire stay. Do not hesitate to book this place if you are looking for a place to stay in the Berkshires.

    David2013-07-08T00:00:00Z
  • When we first arrived, there was a nice note from Liz, apologizing for the inconvenience of no longer having the use of close access for the kayaks and gave us $200 back. We thought this was very nice and appreciated it. However, when we let her know we could not find the kayak paddles, she said she would send someone over the next day to help locate them or bring some. That never happen so we ended up having to rent kayaks on our own. The house itself is beautiful, but I do warn that it is located next to a duck farm with roosters, so if windows are open, you will be woke up around 5am everyday. Besides that, it is a great location and a beautiful backyard.

    Charity2015-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • Loved staying here, the house was extremely clean and newly updated. The hosts left us items for breakfast. We got to relax, grill out on the deck and enjoy a view of the lake. Great place to stay.

  • Gail was a fabulous host from start to finish. I received a very prompt response to my initial inquiry and had everything settled quickly. The house is very well maintained and care went into preparing for our arrival. We were delighted to find coffee, eggs, fruit, bread, even wine to make our stay excellent. Would definitely stay there again next time in Berkshires.

  • This is the second time we rented this place. The snow capped mountains were beautiful. The staff couldn't have been nicer. My 92 year old mom is short and the beds are a little high they came and took the bed frame off so my mom could easily get in and out of bed. My adult children skied, while we explored the museums. A lovely thanksgiving holiday. We had 6 adults in the apartment and it worked.

  • My family and I had a great weekend stay at Eric's place. The resort setting is great for family visits. They even put on events like glow-stick parties for kids! We enjoyed the grounds, the pool, and exploring the numerous art museums in the beautiful surrounding area. Eric was one of the most generous hosts that I have encountered on Airbnb. Highly recommended.

  • Great spot in the Berkshires. Everything was as advertised.

  • We had a wonderful experience at Wyndham Bently Brook. It was a 2 bedroom apartment with a fully stocked kitchen, jacuzzi in the master bedroom. The place could easily accommodate 6 or even more. It fully lived up to our expectations. Eric was attentive and responded to any requests.

  • I contacted Eric on short notice after other plans fell through; he was a great host, very responsive and accommodating. Everything from our conversations to our stay was great! The place was clean and had everything we needed for a nice ski vacation getaway. This was a great location right on the mountain, very spacious and cozy. Well worth it.

This cozy, converted, modernized barn sits on 171 acres. This wooded location is private and quiet, yet easily accessible. It's a quick drive to all the gems in the Berkshires. Spend a weekend, a week, or more, unwinding.
"The Barn on Tower Mountain", a converted horse barn, has been used by our family as a wonderful vacation home for many years. The Barn sits on 171 acres in a secluded, private meadow with a nearby pond. It is nestled in the woods of the northern Berkshires on the side of Tower Mountain. From the barn, you'll have an easy drive to Tanglewood and other Berkshires locations. There are two large living rooms, a kitchen/dining area, and two bedrooms upstairs with a shared full bath. There is a deck off the upstairs with a beautiful view of the woods and meadow. There are mowed walking trails in the meadow that lead to the pond, a picnic table, and a beautiful view of the mountains especially at sunset,. The Barn is fully furnished and decorated. The main living area/kitchen is finished with original wood walls, wood ceiling, wood floors, and an entire wall of picture windows that look out on the woods. The kitchen is finished with granite counter tops and new appliances. There is a large screen TV for watching DVD movies or connecting from your laptop using a HDMI cable. Internet is available via a hot spot from your phone, though we have kept The Barn "minimally connected" on purpose, preferring to use it as a place to disconnect from our busy everyday lives. There is a downstairs mud room and plenty of storage for items such as bicycles.
The property is a short drive up the road from the highway, leading to 171 acres of privately owned land that abut The Berkshire State Forest. "The Barn", nestled between woods and two meadows, is a quick drive to all the Berkshire gems including Tanglewood, The Shaker Village, Williamstown, The Clark, Lenox, Stockbridge, The Mount, The Berkshire Botanical Gardens, Herman Melville's Arrowhead, and The Norman Rockwell Museum. Southern Vermont (Bennington, Wilmington, and Manchester) are easy and enjoyable day trips.
  • Wonderful place! Spacious, comfortable! Richard and Nadia are great hosts! They gave us fun and delicious ideas for dining and explorations! Loved relaxing on the deck watching the stars come out! Even the deer they ordered showed up to say hi! Highly recommend and will definitely return for more adventures!

    Michelle2016-09-19T00:00:00Z
  • My friends and I loved our stay. The location and setting made it a perfect retreat space to disconnect, and at the same time be in the middle of all Berkshires activities. The barn is adorably well organized and welcoming, thanks to Richard and Nadia. Best part of our stay was dinner on the front porch overlooking the sunset.

    Caitlin2016-07-16T00:00:00Z
  • Richard and Nadia were very welcoming hosts, greeting us with iced tea, lemonade and suggestions as to activities. The "Barn" offers a secluded, quiet, comfortable and well appointed accommodation within a short driving distance to Berkshire attractions. The views from the deck are spectacular and the firefly show at night was amazing! It's a perfect place to get away after a day of activities or an evening at Tanglewood. The kitchen is well stocked with modern equipment, pretty dish ware and any gadget that you might need. AC is only in the kitchen, but the house really cools down at night even during hot days making sleeping comfortable. Overall, a wonderful experience that I would love to repeat.

  • We had a fantastic time staying at The Barn. The accomodation had everything we needed, was comfortable and we immediately felt relaxed and at home. The Barn is peaceful, surrounded by trees, but not remote. Nadia couldn't have been more friendly and helpful.

    Kay2016-10-17T00:00:00Z
  • This property is even more beautiful than the photos! The location is very peaceful and private, making it the perfect spot for a quiet weekend with gorgeous views. Richard and Nadia were so kind and helpful- Nadia recommended some great sights to see, and made herself available for any questions I may have had during my stay. Getting to know Richard and Nadia was a pleasure, and I can't wait to return to the barn for another stay! Best in the Berkshires!

    Kelly2017-07-02T00:00:00Z
  • The Barn was a lovely place to stay! We were most happy to discover that it was in a very quiet location. Sitting on the deck at all times of the day was relaxing and a real "get-away". It was conveniently located to see theater, hear music, or go to a farmer's market - all in different directions. The living spaces inside were roomy and the furniture was very comfortable. Nadia was very friendly and gave us lots of ideas about activities in the area. I would recommend it as a place to stay if you are thinking of visiting the Berkshires!

    Debra2017-08-07T00:00:00Z
  • The Barn was a perfect weekend getaway to visit the Berkshires! Conveniently located near many attractions and activities. The property and home are extremely well kept and has such a country feel. I recommend this to anyone looking to get away for a peaceful weekend!

    Jenny2016-09-25T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely stay at The Barn. The property is just as described, with beautiful views of meadows, woods and hills, in an isolated and peaceful setting, within easy driving distance of many Berkshire destinations. We didn't get to meet Richard, but his wife Nadia met us at arrival and came to collect the keys when we left. She was available by phone for any questions, and had lots of suggestions for local cultural events, places to shop, etc.

This sweet little cottage has 2 bedrooms. The guest room has a high-end queen bed and a private entrance. The rest of the house you would share with me and Bodhi, m pup . There is a shared shower and a tub. The location of my home is close to all local destinations north and south. My home is in a very quiet, out of the way neighborhood, with a totally private fenced in yard! If you have a pup Iet's talk about it. AVAILABLE FOR A WEEK OR MORE AT A VERY REDUCED RATE INCLUDES KITCHEN /LAUNDRY.
My house is small but is open and feels spacious. Light and comfort is what you will find here. I have many plants and art work that fill the house with color. Feel free to move around as if it was your own. In the nice weather enjoy your coffee or tea on the deck or in the hammock. At night have an outdoor fire. It is very quiet here and folks sleep very well in the extremely comfortable queen bed.
Friendly quiet family neighborhood- no small kids though.
  • Cate is a very authentic and thoughtful host! Her home is peaceful, cozy and in a great location close to downtown and lots of outdoor activities. I will definitely contact Cate if I go to the Berkshires again !

  • Such a great find. Cate is lovely and the place feels like a little oasis in the heart of the Berkshires. Cozy and comfortable, highly recommend.

    Miriam2017-08-27T00:00:00Z
  • Cate made me feel right at home the moment I arrived! She had a hot kettle of water just waiting for me and I am a big tea drinker. Her home was very warm and welcoming. The private room was comfortable and her bed was like sleeping on a cloud. Her dog was very welcoming to my dog, she even shared her toys. We look forward to returning to this lovely home on another adventure.

  • Cate is a wonderful hostess. She is kind and a joy to converse with. She also made sure I had everything I need to make my visit enjoyable.

    Diane2016-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • Cate's place was great! Unfortunately, Cate was out of town when we were up there, but she made us feel welcome even though she wasn't there. She made check-in/out very easy, left us a delicious breakfast and a great dinner recommendation. Cate's place was conveniently located for downtown Pittsfield and was close to the trails that we came up to explore. We definitely recommend staying with Cate if you are in the area.

    Eric2015-10-18T00:00:00Z
  • You couldn't ask for a more considerate, thoughtful and lovely host as Cate. Her home is lovely and quiet. Her listing is accurate. The room was a good value and clean. We certainly recommend staying with her.
