“The Bishop´s Castle in Haapsalu dates back to 1279 and is impressive for both adults and children. Explore the museum and climb up the tower to get a bird´s eye view of Haapsalu. See the Cathedral and ponder on the tale of the white Lady showing herself in one of the windows the first fullmoon night in August every year. There are Lutheran church services at 10 on Sundays in the Cathedral, and occasionally there are concerts.”

“Cosy place to enjoy dinner with gorgeous sunset at lakeside. Just 3 min walk from our place. Book it in advance - for example while walking by during daytime. Or ring them up. NB! Getting a table during a festival can be tricky, do it well ahead!”

“In translation Speedy Rabbit. Probably the best pizzas in town. They offer various other dishes too. You can order pizza as well as take-away, except during big festivals, when they might refuse to prepare take-aways.”

“These folks make you fall in love again! In their bakeries - whether its super fresh, warm black rye bread, ciabatta or some fancy Pavlova cake, if you like. Just 3min walk from the place - grab the fresh bakery for your breakfast or for other occasion. Very often we take some cakes to our place, prepare cup of coffee at home and enjoy this outside at courtyard dining place under the apple tree.”

Museum
“ The works of Evald Okas, a great figure in the Estonian art world and an honorary member of the Florence Art Academy, can be found in museum collections in Estonia and abroad. This museum has been enriching the art life of Haapsalu since 2003. The primary attraction is the constantly changing permanent exposition and exhibits in the museum gallery. Did you know...? *The building, constructed in the mid-19th century as a tavern, has a unique atmosphere *You can take part in art courses and attend interesting exhibitions *Since 1939, Okas’ works have been displayed in 50 solo exhibitions”
