Guerneville Vacation Rentals

Just booked in Guerneville

Enjoy peace, quiet, and beautiful views in Cazadero. For each rental, $50 will be donated to Raphael House, a San Francisco organization whose goal is to help at-risk families achieve stable housing and financial independence.
This little a-frame cabin would make a productive retreat for an artist, writer, or musician, or a romantic getaway. Surrounded by redwoods on a private road in Cazadero, my cabin is an hour and forty-five minutes north of San Francisco: a roughly ten-minute drive to the beautiful Sonoma Coast, and just fifteen minutes to Guerneville and wine country in the other direction. Head west and you’ll hit the charming town of Duncans Mills; go east to Monte Rio, and catch a movie at the historic Rio Theater. The full bed sleeps one or two comfortably. No TV or microwave; yes record player, wood-burning stove, equipped kitchen, and lots of cookbooks. The backyard is sunny and sloping with a view. There’s a table and bench on the deck for al fresco dining. And there’s speedy wireless Internet, too.
  • Rachel's place is great! Definitely, as others have said, quirky and unique. Rustic is a good word for it. Heed Rachel's advice and try to arrive before dark. I got in on a late flight due to travel delays and it was very difficult to navigate in the dark. Bring kindling!

  • What a magical place. This cozy little cabin has everything you need to have a wonderful weekend getaway. Kitchen, fireplace, comfy bed, an INCREDIBLE record collection, and this weird French game called Mille Bornes that we became obsessed with. There's great hiking within driving distance, and for nightlife there's downtown Guerneville. Check out El Barrio, my favorite spot.

  • My wife and I have been visting this area for years and couldn't dream up a more perfect atmosphere. If you're looking to relax by a fire nestled in the redwoods surrounded by all the beauty you can handle while listening to one of the most perfectly currated record collections around, then do yourself a favor and book a stay at Rachel's A-Frame! Conveniently located within 10-15 mins of any outdoor adventure imaginable. Beautiful beaches, hikes, bike rides, restaurants, wine and loads more. P.S. If I were a Silicon Valley tech guru I'd hack in and erase the negative comment below. ABSURD. A+++++

    Brandon2015-05-10T00:00:00Z
  • Such a idyllic pad! We listened to records in front of the wood-burning stove, read some selections from Rachel's excellent book selection (Beckett! Flannery O'Connor!), and made paella to eat out on the back porch. The unique details make it so special--the skylights looked out onto the redwoods, and the "experimental hut community" painting echoed our sentiments exactly. Till next time...

    Dena2015-06-17T00:00:00Z
  • Everything was fantastic, the record player really did it for us. We played it for most of the time we were there. Great little get away, Rachael was also very communicative and helpful. Thanks again Rachael.

    Jesse2015-03-17T00:00:00Z
  • Our experience was so wonderful. The house was charming, unique and welcoming and Rachel was a lovely host. The only bad thing is that you won't want to leave.

  • My wife and I had a wonderful relaxing weekend at this cabin. The space was well equipped, quiet and cozy. Exactly what we were looking for!

  • Great little spot to stay by the Russian River. Cozy and perfect for a couple. We spent quite a bit of time barbecuing and enjoying the back porch. Clean and tidy with a nice little selection of cookbooks, noir, and southern fiction. Highly recommended.

Shangrila has gotten even better. We have a fire table on the deck that is great to watch & to keep you warm on chilly nites. Also, my son, Gino, & his sweet dog, Frida, are cohosting with me. Frida is never allowed in the guest room. The delightful Occidental Bohemian Farmers Market continues Fri. evenings till the end of Oct. T If you long to get your hands dirty, but don't have a garden, we'll share ours. There's always something to do!
Your spacious room overlooks a redwood forest with a meadow & wooded hills beyond. You may think you want to visit Sonoma County vineyards, beaches, or the Russian River, but once you're here, you may not want to leave. The room is quiet. You have your own bathroom called "The Mexi" because of Mexican tiles & mementos of travels in that country. There is safe, off street parking. You are within walking distance of the picturesque village of Occidental where there are good restaurants, gift shops, & tennis courts. People also love to ride bicycles around here even tho the roads are narrow, curvy, & steep. We are early risers & will have coffee ready by 7:00 with a gourmet continental breakfast including home pressed organic apple juice, homegrown organic seasonal fruits, homemade jam & special sweets. We are well situated as a stopover, but we could also be a destination. We have lawn Bocce ball & horse shoes. For rest after those exertions, there are hammocks in the redwoods. There is such good bird watching here that the local Audubon stops here during their Xmas bird count. When the weather isn't conducive to outside time, there is a fireplace in the living room. We love to share this beautiful place. Come on over!

  • Mary was such a wonderful host! She is super warm, welcoming, and helpful. We enjoyed chatting with her and hearing about her home and travels. Her house is gorgeous--- the photos can't do the beauty of the house and its surrounding environs justice. Mary served delicious homemade bread, apple sauce, and apple juice for breakfast. We definitely plan to come back--- we just hope that this place will be available again then! Thanks so much, Mary!

    Hang2014-11-30T00:00:00Z
  • Beds were comfortable and Mary is nice.

    Gina2017-09-10T00:00:00Z
  • my Mom and I had such a great time staying with Mary -- she has such a lovely home and provided the perfect mix of hospitality and privacy. I hope to be back in the future!

    Molly2014-03-31T00:00:00Z
  • Mary & Gene were wonderful hosts. Adaptable and generous with their time and information (very knowledgeable about nearby restaurants, trails and sights), while respectful of our privacy. Last minute, my friend brought her 3-year old along with us which was not a problem for them. We enjoyed the surrounding nature as well as the onsite scooter, hammocks and DIY electric kettle/teas. The morning we left, we inquired about the nearest gas station and Gene kindly filled us up with a few gallons just to ensure a safe ride. I highly recommend Mary & Gene's for a quiet sanctuary tucked away in nature, convenient to redwood grove trails and local Occidental shops/restaurants.

  • Beautiful property--built to take advantage of the majestic redwoods growing around the home. Two-night stay--super close to Monte Rio and the wonderful Oxidental communities. Mary and her husband were great hosts--providing much needed advice and directions. And we left with a take-away breakfast of home grown apples and wonderful bread. Felt more like a stay with family...

    Jim2013-09-23T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I are sitting in a cafe in Point Reyes Station, having had the most beautiful drive here from the most magical Airbnb overnight stay of our mini road trip. What a lovely person Mary is - so generous with her out-of-this-world home. Her directions are really good so we found her house easily... The big front lawn has a backdrop of majestic redwoods which continue round the back of the house. Mary has lived in the wooden house that she built as a family had built for 30 years.... Inside your eyes are drawn to so many lovely things - both objects and paintings - and our delightful room and bathroom were not lacking either - paintings and family photos adorn the walls. Our room had two long windows looking out onto the redwood trees in Mary's garden - mesmerising! . We slept very well on comfy beds, , having cooled the room with a very efficient air con system. This morning we drank a delicious cup of coffee on Mary's decking (she invites you to explore her garden) which is above ground level and had been built up around the mighty trunks of redwoods which come through the deck. It was fantastic to be surrounded by the trees, hearing all the birdsong, in such a beautiful location. We couldn't recommend a stay with Mary more. Thank you!

    Jules2016-07-23T00:00:00Z
  • Mary's home was peaceful, cozy, and welcoming. It is in the middle of the woods and a vast field, with many opportunities for a quiet stroll. But if you need to stop by the town for a meal or supplies, it is a short drive (or walk, as she recommends) away. I really enjoyed my short stay and conversations with her. I would come back again, but for a longer duration I hope!

A small stylish cabin perfect for a couple or a pair!
Come visit the famous region known as Cazadero! Stay in our architect-designed and newly remodeled loft cabin. Some of the amenities include wood stove, bamboo flooring, flat-screen tv, wireless internet and a gorgeous kitchen with gas range and pantry. stay for a weekend or a month. You can hike, explore discover wineries or just chill out. Close to the ocean, two bakeries and the golf course. Make this your base camp with everything you need to recharge and relax. Escape the summer heat at our cabin close to the coast. Winter time is perfect too, with the picture windows and wood stove, snuggle by the fire after a day of hiking in Armstrong Woods. Yes, we are 15 minutes from Guerneville, 10 minutes from the ocean. We are located in a quiet neighborhood just off River Road. About the place. It's small and has no separate rooms. Therefore we ask you keep your party size to two or three. Be prepared to build a fire. Wood stove is the primary heat source. We look forward to meeting you! Katrina & Larry
It's a quiet dead end road. There are houses close by but people keep to themselves.
  • We wanted a quick getaway to the Russian River before Christmas, and found this amazing place! Let me highlight our stay for you: 1.) Fire, hell yes, it's December and stormy! Warm and cozy when we arrived in the dark. 2.) Treats!- there was even a loaf of nutty bread on the counter that we ate with our morning eggs and french pressed coffee. So kind. There is nothing like a bit of goodies in a home to make you feel like you're, well, home. 3.) Woke up to the sound of rain on the roof, and misty redwoods out the huge windows in a seriously amazing bed. 4.) Lazed around all day and read by the fire under soft blankets, took a walk, and cooked up a nice dinner. Basically you can't go wrong if you like a beautifully designed, extreemely well taken care of, clean, quiet, homey, comfortable, relaxing escape in the woods by the river. So close to the river, town and all it offers, but feels like you're in your own private world. We will be back, so save some room.

  • My wife and I loved this cabin! It was perfect for a relaxing start to our honeymoon. We went over to Napa for the day and ate at a couple of local places that were really good. Katrina went out of her way to make it a special trip for us. I would love to go back one day.

    Scott2013-10-02T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin is one of a kind. Very cleverly designed and close to the beach and redwood forest. It has all the amenities you could want.

    Greg2013-11-09T00:00:00Z
  • Wow! what a way to set the tone for our week long stay in CA. the home was everything we expected and more. We were very pleased with the accomodations - loved having a fire in the wood burner in the evenings when it got cold, sitting on the deck enjoying some of California's fine wine while appreciating the amazing Redwoods all around us. It was a trip that definitely will NOT be soon forgotten.

    patrice2014-09-16T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin was phenomenal! Super location in the woods, relaxing vibe and excellent amenities. My husband and I were able to cook, watch TV, run at Armstrong Woods, and relax and enjoy the cabin during our short stay. Should have booked a longer trip though. It’s really that good! The shower is to die for and we can’t say enough about the aesthetic design of the cabin. This is my kind of roughing it!

    Natalie2013-03-14T00:00:00Z
  • This cozy cabin completely exceeded our expectations; from the exquisite design, incredible finishes (shower flooring -- wowee!), comfy bed, and a tidy little kitchen that has everything you need to cook a meal. The setting is secluded, yet it has 21st century upgrades like free wifi and AppleTV - a total bonus! Close to wineries, Armstrong Redwoods State Park (great hiking!), and a full-scale grocery store a short drive away. We absolutely loved every detail, especially the faux paper plates and fancy tea selection. We never actually met Katrina, yet arrangements were completely seamless, and she did a great job of communicating with us from start to finish.

    Caitlin2014-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • The pictures don't do this place justice! It is so cute, modern, cozy and efficient all at the same time. We were so busy exploring the nearby sites we didn't get to spend nearly enough time here just relaxing and reading by the cozy wood stove. The place was immaculate and stocked with all the amenities we needed and then some. For those cooking, there were plenty of pantry items available and even some beer and wine in the fridge! The bed was firm, but very comfortable. It does get a bit chilly at night, but the wood stove kept us plenty warm and there is also a space heater in the bedroom but we didn't need it. The location is close to Hwy 1 and Armstrong Woods. One day we hiked the woods, drove all the way to Drakes Bay, ate lots of oysters and drove back in time for sunset at nearby Goats Rock beach and still had plenty of time to relax and enjoy the cabin in the evening. Kartina and Larry live next door if you need anything, but you can't even see their house from the cabin, so it is very private. I highly recommend this place for a getaway that feels like you're a million miles away, yet close to everything Sonoma Coast has to offer.

  • Katrina was a wonderful host! Her cabin is so beautiful! We really enjoyed our stay there. We wished it could have been longer than 1 day, but we will have to come again. It was just so nice to be surrounded by nature in such a cool home. Katrina also stocked up on some fresh fruit and bread for us. That was really sweet. And for all you coffee enthusiasts, they have a Chemex set! So just bring some beans!

Rustic cabin, built in 1901, now being lovingly nuzzled back to beauty. Spacious and cozy, woodsy and bright, with two big porches overlooking the Russian River Valley. For each rental, $50 goes to fire relief efforts.
Rustic cabin, built in 1901, now being lovingly nuzzled back to beauty. Spacious and cozy, woodsy and bright, with two big porches overlooking the Russian River Valley. A five-minute walk from the river, a five-minute drive from a bunch of wineries, and twenty-five minutes from the unbelievable Sonoma coast.
  • Super rad space with a ton of character and whimsy, and located in a really quiet, beautiful spot in the woods. We made fires every night, since it was pretty cold (by California standards), and then used the space heater in the room to keep warm. The cabin has everything you need for a retreat away from a grind. The records were a big hit as well.

  • Eli's place is magical. He was exceptionally responsive and accommodating, and I would return in a heartbeat.

    Meredith2014-04-22T00:00:00Z
  • Really great spot. It's a cozy little house in a gorgeous neighborhood. Really interesting antique decor. The porch/deck has picturesque views and is a wonderful spot for outdoor grilling.

    Aaron2014-08-31T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful stay at the cottage. It's in a beautiful treetop setting, peaceful, and within an easy drive of Russian River canoeing and wineries. It is rustic. I mean that in a good way. An enjoyable mix of simplicity, and eclectic decor. If you're looking for perfect stacks of matching dishes or leather seating or double-pane insulated windows, you'll be disappointed. Otherwise, it's a great place to breathe in the air and relax.

    Barry2011-09-04T00:00:00Z
  • We had a nice time here. Everything was just as described and although my husband and I personally would have perhaps liked something somewhat less "rustic," as a whole our little family group was happy and felt that the accommodations suited our needs. Eli was very flexible with our schedule and did everything possible to ensure that we were satisfied.

    Carmela2014-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • Eli was very helpful and prompt with communication. His instructions were very clear and his suggestions helpful. The house itself was rustic and very charming. It looked exactly like the photos. The master bedroom was spacious and everything was clean and tidy. The decor was great. We love retro kitsch and this place was exactly up our street! The kitchen was well appointed and had everything we needed. The location was very convenient for the river and vineyards and views from the two main decks were magical. It was lovely waking up in the master bedroom with views across the forest. It was also very quiet, lots of birdsong and crickets. We heartily recommend this house and would stay again in a heartbeat!

    Margaree and Sam2015-08-24T00:00:00Z
  • Eli's cabin is amazing! Super close to the Russian River and just a short drive to Guernville stores and restaurants. Also a short drive to Armstrong Woods reserve which was incredible as well. We were super cozy and felt super safe and secure, too. Really funky style with fully functional everything. Thanks again Eli!

    Kaitlyn2012-07-03T00:00:00Z
  • Thank you Eli. The lofts were so fun for the boys. And we had a ball at the river with the innertubes. I loved your playful aesthetic. And dining outside is always pure heaven. And I can't imagine who wouldn't want to spend a long brunch in that cheerful dining room. Many thanks.

It was also walking distance to the Russian River and close to downtown Guerneville. We will definitely be going back. Thanks for everything!

  • The stay at Rachel and Tim's place was wonderful, relaxing and oh-so quiet. The kitchen was perfectly equipped, the bed the most comfortable ever and the two terraces so relaxing and inviting. Looking out over the vineyards was a real treat! Took them up on the tip to take Westside Drive to Healdsburg--what a lovely drive. The stay was perfect and we do hope to come back soon. Internet super fast and Roku an added bonus! Thanks, The Brenners

  • Cozy Russian River is exactly as it's described. Cozy and wonderful! It's a very cute bb with an electric grill on the front porch and an nice little deck with a backyard view of a vineyard. The place is secluded and quiet which is really nice. It's close (not walking distance) to town. The kitchen is fully furnished and upgraded. The place is great and only regret that we didn't have more time there. Next time!

    Sheila2015-07-23T00:00:00Z
  • Rachel and Tim's place was lovely - a perfect getaway spot. The location was quiet, and the space was well decorated, and the view from the porch was relaxing and charming!

    Stacey2015-05-15T00:00:00Z
  • Rachel and Tim were extremely helpful during booking, and the place was really cute! Lovely deck with BBQ, perfect for a sunny afternoon. Had a lovely time!

    Karey2014-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • Me and my boyfriend had the BEST time at Rachel and Tim's cozy home. From the beautiful persimmon tree in the front yard to colorful vineyard in the back, the place was picturesque. We cooked a small Thanksgiving meal one of the days and Rachel and Tim had all the cooking supplies we needed. Messaging with them was a breeze and they even left a booklet for directions to the river and instructions for the TV and all the information you could ask for. We were so sad to leave this charming cottage but we can't wait to be back!

  • We loved this cozy cottage! Perfect spot for a couple. The back deck has a beautiful view overlooking vineyards. It felt very private and secluded but was just a short drive to town. "This is one of the most special places on Airbnb." - Beau, August 2017. "A most sublime space, location, feel, aroma. Spoil yourself and take advantage of one of the most peaceful and beautiful spaces I have been. More specifically, the comforts - beds, pillows, views, kitchen, etc. all are five star." - Tim, Oct 2015
Featured on the TV show “Tiny House Hunting," s02 e11. Contemporary, comfy home with hot tub overlooking the Russian River Valley in Sonoma County. Modern living amidst ancient redwoods. Said one guest: "I haven't been this at ease in years." See why "I am convinced Robert's place is the best airbnb ever." "PERFECT. I can't wait to come back." "MAJOR PROPS for the speaker system." “I've probably already taken 200 photos from your deck." “I haven't been this pleased and at ease in years." “You have the most lovely and righteous oasis in the woods." “Feeling so lucky to be here." "MAGICAL" This really special and lovely home is under 90 minutes from the Golden Gate Bridge (without traffic...). Fabulous, tasteful, well-maintained, and totally modern, the house is built into a hill in the redwood forest and overlooks the Russian River Valley. The thoroughly contemporary "cabin" is located near the little town of Monte Rio, CA (about 3 miles west of Guerneville). There is nothing better than sitting in that hot tub overlooking the pristine beauty of the gorgeous russian river valley. The place is great for a couple or a solo traveler who just wants to chill out in a really beautiful and special place. About the place. The house is about 720 sq ft and thoroughly modern with an ingenious use of space. The "loft like" bedroom is atop a spiral staircase. From the bed are redwood trees framed by skylights. Linens are provided. There is a large deck with a table for outside meals, and there is a wonderful hot tub. The hot tub will take several hours to warm up after you arrive and will get up to 104 - the manufacturer does not let the tub get hotter than 104. The hot tub is treated between guests and fully serviced on Wednesdays so if your visit includes a Wednesday the hot tub people might show up and we can let you know ahead of time at what time to expect them. There are two couches outside as well. The speaker system for the excellent indoor/outdoor stereo system really enhances chilling out on the deck. The place has a very modern kitchen with an electric stove. There is a gas grill on the deck, and we try to provide enough propane for the grill. You will find the usual implements of cooking destruction. Some guests bring and leave spices and oils and some things accumulate (mustard, oregano) and others go quick (olive oil). Just to be safe, if you love to cook you can bring what you know you need, or check what's been left first and just replace what you use. You can walk down the hill to a lovely beach on the Russian River, and the walk takes about 10-15 minutes. If you are walker, you can walk about a mile to Monte Rio where there are a few restaurants, cafes, and bars (some only open in the Summer months). Guerneville, which has more restaurants and bars (including 2 gay bars) is about 3 miles away. In Guerneville and Monte Rio you can also rent canoes or kayaks for a day on the river. In the other direction, you drive along the river and in about 10 minutes come to Jenner and Goat Rock State Park, a spectacular park where river meets ocean. Bodega Bay is quite close as well. Charming Occidental, with great breakfast spots, is a short drive. You are also near the Northwood Golf Course, Armstrong Woods Park, and easily more than 50 world class wineries. Plus hiking all over the place in this overwhelming beauty. Unlike many local listings, you get the comfort of knowing we obtained a vacation rental permit that mandates the 2 guest limit. So no additional guests and unfortunately no children or pets either. Thanks in advance for understanding. Note that only Verizon and Sprint have a cell signal here. Also note that the "heater" option is not checked. There is no heating in this house! There is a wood burning stove, and we recommend buying wood if you would like a fire. There is kindling provided but if you might have trouble starting a fire in a fireplace, we recommend bringing Duraflame logs with you. You'll be glad you did. The house lets in abundant light. This is by design! This is noted because some guests may want to bring an eye mask. This place is a great opportunity to just chill out, go explore Sonoma county, taste wines - whatever you want. Many guests don't ever even want to leave the place at all. The house is gorgeous, and the area spectacular. You'll love it! Guests have access to the entire house and surrounding property, including the hot tub, outdoor gas grill, and speaker system. Plus it is an easy walk to the Russian River for sightseeing and summer swimming. The hosts are not present during the visits from guests. When booking is complete, we provide an access code to retrieve keys to the house and we email a "welcome letter" with house rules and suggested activities in the area. We are available 24/7 by phone and check email frequently, but try to leave guests alone. The "neighborhood" is a 5mph country road that winds through a redwood forest. There are not many neighbors and the folks you do see out walking are friendly. The best thing about the "neighborhood" is the scenic walks, the proximity to the Russian River and surrounding activities like hiking, swimming, biking, great restaurants, and, of course, wine tasting. Parking is included, and a car is required. Note that a large SUV will have trouble navigating the narrow country roads. SPECIAL NOTE: Friday and Saturday bookings must include a 3rd night, either Sunday or Thursday, unless the Thursday or Sunday is already booked. Last minute exceptions can be accommodated when possible.

  • We just returned from a wonderful weekend at Robert's Redwood abode. It is absolutely spectacular--the pictures don't do it justice!!! You just can't beat hot-tubbing under 4 giant Redwoods. There are also lots of things to do around the area, and it's very mountain/beach town oriented. Absolutely lovely--we will DEFINITELY be going back!! Robert was very clear about all the cabin instructions, and our stay was relaxed and easy. Directions were clear, and we had no trouble getting to the house or making ourselves at home. He was polite, welcoming, and has a wonderful place! You will NOT regret your stay!!

  • This place is absolutely amazing... even better than expected. The view, the architecture, the great kitchen, wood-burning fireplace, and a very quiet neighborhood; it's exactly what I dreamed of. We took care to follow all of Robert's directions, as this is clearly a place that is very loved and prized by it's owner (as it should be!). We walked down to the local beach, which was so secluded we felt like we had the place to ourselves! All the neighbors and folks in town were friendly and helpful. Gurneville is just a few minutes away, and we had GREAT meals with groceries from Food for Humans (organic/local grocery store) and really loved eating out at Boon Eat + Drink and ice cream at Flavors Unlimited. I can't say enough good things about this rental, or the really wonderful experience we had. Thank you! :)

  • incredible spot! nestled in the forest, comfy and cozy, perfect couples getaway, and great communication and instructions from host, highly recommended!

  • My fiancé and I enjoyed a three-night stay at Robert's Russian River redwood escape. Though this airbnb rental was not our first, it will forever be the gold standard to which all others will likely pale in comparison to. What a gorgeous, absolutely dream-worthy space! The perfect place to relax, no one at all to bother you at all. Robert was very clear and always prompt in all communication both before and during our trip (especially in light of the recent earthquake, which happened immediately prior to our arrival). He leaves a very detailed set of instructions/rules on the kitchen counter for your arrival, which shows how much pride he takes in the maintenance of this space. As Robert suggests - try to arrive during daylight. You have to drive up a very narrow and winding, one-lane road to reach the property (don't look down if afraid of heights). I'll admit it was a bit scary the first time, but totally worth it. You shouldn't have any reservation about booking this place, it is truly amazing. The best of the best :).

  • Robert is an excellent host and his beautiful home and manicured gardens were beyond what we expected. Everything was super clean and lovely—amazing deck, hot tub, outdoor shower, hammock in the trees, beautiful fireplace… not to mention the magnificent views! The town is lovely and Robert recommended some delicious coffee and dining options. Can’t wait to return!

  • We had an amazing time at Robert's place in the Redwoods. It was everything we had hoped it would be and more. The jacuzzi on the deck was wonderful and the home was very comfortable. We would definitely stay again

  • Robert's cottage in Monte Rio is fantastic. We spent three nights there, as part of a longer 5-night stay in Sonoma. Before even arriving, Robert's communication was great - from his welcome letter to brief communications right before our stay - we were always in the know about what was going on and what to expect. Once we arrived, everything was a pleasant surprise - it was all even nicer than as pictured, and fully ready for our stay. The kitchen was stocked with the basics, making a quick stop at the store all we needed to make a few meals at the house. The couch was extremely comfortable, and the indoor/outdoor sound system was a plus. The spiral staircase is a tight climb upstairs, but fully manageable. I'd recommend a pit stop before bed! The outdoor area is perfect for getting away from it all - reading on the porch to relaxing in the hot tub, we spent plenty of time outdoors and loved every minute of it.

    Daniel2014-05-28T00:00:00Z
  • This was by far an absolute dream house! The views of the redwoods and serene, calming sunny deck was just to die for. The Jacuzzi is really the icing on the cake. This place made me feel spoiled rotten. The neighborhood was quite and quaint. Really nestled right in the middle of the woods. Thank you Robert for making this a much needed dream get away for me.

Our Redwood Studio apartment is within easy walking distance to Guerneville's charming shops and great restaurants. You’ll love the the serenity of the trees, sounds of the chickens, and the quiet friendly neighborhood. It sits at the base of an old growth Redwood tree. There is no stove in the small kitchenette, it has microwave, toaster oven, french press, kettle. Attached to our home, the Studio apartment has a private entrance and deck. Armstrong Redwoods 2 miles Sonoma Coast 10 mile
We found this beautiful place in 1985 and have lived here ever since. Located just a few blocks from Main Street but on a hill above town, the property has ancient redwoods and the Redwood Studio apartment is a the base of our biggest and oldest tree, probably more than 500 years old. Although easy walking down to town it feels like a world away. Our large rambling house was built around 1890. The Studio was a separate apartment that we have recently renovated. We have really enjoyed sharing our space with visitors to the area.
Our charming, friendly neighborhood has an old cemetery at the top of the hill. Guerneville is an interesting old town full of galleries and shops. My favorite is the Guerneville 5 & 10. Excellent restaurants such as Boon and Seaside Metal. The treasured but long closed Bank building has been beautifully renovated and now houses an ice cream and pie shop and wine tasting room. You can walk to the river for fishing and in the summer for a swim. Two miles from the Studio is Armstrong Redwoods with gentle strolls or challenging hikes. The Russian River Valley holds many wineries for touring and the Sonoma Coast is just a beautiful drive along the river to the ocean.
  • Perfect for a couple! Very comfortable. Loved that Armstrong Park is so close for some beautiful hikes. Would definitely recommend!!

Most homes in the Russian River area are located in rural neighborhoods, home to a colorful, eclectic population of both full-time and vacation home residents. There are neighbors, but they're usually not too close, and you can expect the kinds of activities typical of any neighborhood. There are a range of dwelling types, and you might rub elbows with a 5th generation River resident, a Silicon Valley scion, and a Generation of Love retiree on the same block. The Russian River is a vacation destination year round, and most homes are built on roads running parallel to the River or Creek with mountains close on both sides, so there are varying degrees of noise from the roads, the River, residents and other visitors. Many roads are narrow (some may even wend and wind a bit), without much street lighting, so it's best to arrive in the daylight, if possible, and please download and use our directions. GPS, online mapping and cell service are not reliable in this area. If you have any questions about the general access to or neighborhood surrounding this home, please contact us.
  • Great location, well maintained and lots of personality. A lovely home to stay in for a few days lazing by the river.

  • Really loved this place. It was relaxing, stylish, and probably the most well stocked vacation rental I've stayed in. It's close to great wineries, and the Safeway nearby is helpful. The beds were a bit firm, and it was a little odd having to do an agreement with River Getaways in addition to Airbnb, but over all no complaints from our happy group. The company was super responsive. The birthday girl even said "It really is forever Sunday here!" as she sat cozily on the couch.

    Allison2017-10-09T00:00:00Z

Our house is located on a hill in a quiet neighborhood just above downtown Guerneville. The house has high ceilings, a full kitchen, a large deck, and a yard lined with enormous olive trees. It is a five minute walk to coffee shops and restaurants, two miles from Armstrong Redwoods State Park and a twenty minute drive to the Sonoma Coast. There is one bedroom with a queen size bed and another room that has a full size La-z-boy sleeper sofa with air mattress.
  • We had a great stay in Sonia's beautiful home! It's a lovely house - great kitchen, stylish bedrooms, large living space and best of all, a great deck. Perfect for meals - we had a great evening there. So nice that we decided to cook a meal and sit on the deck, rather than heading into town. A block from the main strip, and 2 blocks from the beach - I'll be staying again. And special thanks to Sonia for posting back some belongings I left at her place. Thank you!

  • Great little house for a weekend getaway. We had a low-key bachelorette party where the bride wanted to be close to wine tasting, kayaking, hiking, and good food. The house is centrally located from everything and was a close enough drive for us to enjoy everything. The house had everything we needed to cook dinner and breakfast. Would recommend!

    Sandy2017-06-18T00:00:00Z
  • I love this home. So close to Main Street in Guerneville, clean, a great deck to eat breakfast on and meditate. The wifi worked great, so I could grab some Netflix shows. The bed was comfortable, the kitchen had everything I needed to accommodate meals, etc. The shower had hot water with great pressure. The area is super quiet and has friendly neighbors. I brought my bike, and you can ride easily to Armstrong Redwoods and even up to Monte Rio. My small cat Mina enjoyed her stay as well. I hope that I can return sometime sooner than later. Lastly, there was great communication with the host as well. Excellent pick - very grateful, Michael

  • You can't miss with this place to stay. The location is great...on a quiet street but within walking distance of the town. It's just a few minutes from the majestic redwoods in the Armstrong State Park and a half hour to the coast. The home is clean and uncluttered, with plenty of room for 4 guests. Communication with the hosts and check-in went smoothly. We would highly recommend this to anyone visiting Guerneville.

Located on a country road in "El Bonita," between Rio Nido and downtown Guerneville, Hillside Lodge was once a "summer only" home in a row of parcels known as "Riverside Terrace." The house is nestled on a wooded lot and is now lovingly restored, insulated, and comfortable all year long. It is conveniently located near River Road, the main thoroughfare leading into town. Neighbors are quiet and the atmosphere inside and outside of Hillside Lodge is relaxing.
  • This was our fifth stay, so that says all you need to know about how we feel about this great place. As always, everything was just right and perfectly organized. We love the fact that this place is quiet, yet within walking distance of downtown. Alan has added two new beautiful beds since our last stay. I recommend this place without reservation.

  • Lovely place. My only regret was that we couldn't stay longer. The place was clean, relaxing, and charming - you could tell the decor was carefully curated. Loved the deck and patio! Allan went above and beyond and was kind enough to offer to refund our stay when we got there and the place wasn't ready. It was perfect! Would highly recommend.

  • We would highly recommend Allan's Hillside Lodge! The check in process is extremely easy, and the house is conveniently located near a main road yet feels secluded. The house was immaculate, and decor very pleasing to the eye. There is a nice deck to enjoy if you get the chance. The kitchen is set up very well and everything you could need is provided. The linens and towels were clean and sufficient. We very much enjoyed our time there and felt at home and relaxed. It was lovely!

  • This property is perfect for relaxing and unwinding. Everything was exactly as described. Shane & Craig were very responsive and wonderful hosts. Definitely staying here again.

    Danielle2017-07-30T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful time at Shane and Craig's lovely house. It was exactly what we needed for a quick mini honeymoon. Even though it's a smallish house the tall ceilings, solarium, and deck made it feel very comfortable. Of course the bonus was the sun deck and the hot tub! While the kitchen is small it was perfect for me to cook up some quick meals for us. We highly recommend this house and have already sent some of friends the link to the profile. Plus we are already discussing when we can come back for another stay! If you are looking for a peaceful getaway with plenty of options to relax on the property, and is a quick drive to downtown Guernville, this is the place!

    David2017-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin: Velouria made a nice, quiet, shaded retreat for our romantic vacation. There is a vintage 60's-70's vibe with lots of earthy browns/oranges and funky figurines/artwork all over. The upper house was fully equipped with mini kitchen with a full size fridge, oven/stovetop and all the dishes you'd need. The bathroom was roomy, the loft style bed is surrounded by sunny windows and skylights, but hidden from prying eyes. The "satelight cabin" down the hill is pretty tiny but but has a great view and a comfy bed, and the jacuzzi just below was hot, clean and relaxing. The good: - Cute, tiny and comfortable house on a secluded, quiet street. About 2 miles away from main street/town of Guerneville with groceries, shops and restaurants. - Nicely stocked kitchen supplies. Laundry on site. Banging hot tub. - Excellent communication with Shane + Craig... we got locked out and they replied right away to help us access a spare key. - No AC, but it wasn't a problem as the cabin is pretty shaded by trees, has several windows and 2 strong fans. Even chilly at night. The bad: - The bedroom/loft is perched atop a steep, narrow spiral staircase and a bit tricky to navigate in the dark. - Lots of big, bright windows with no curtains, bring your sleep mask or rise with the sun. Also a few windows have no screens, so flies and mosquito bites were an issue. - Most house lights are accessed through this i-pod thingy on the far wall.. definitely requires a learning curve but does allow for cool mood settings if you can figure it out. - A bit removed from most of the local wineries... and really hard to get a Lyft or Uber because of the spotty cell service on the hwy. - The cabin and street was nice, but not a fan of the Guerneville area overall. There's a lot of crumbling houses, broken cars and piled up trash in what appears to be abandoned homes or old hotels along the hwy. The main town is much nicer, but there seems to be a bit of a drug/meth problem with the late night locals and we felt uncomfortable in town after dark. Definitely more cheery family vibes during the day though.

  • This is a beautiful location, up a hill and nestled in redwoods. The hot tub was terrific, and we really enjoyed our time. Craig was very responsive before and during our stay. Wish we had had a few more days! Hope we can visit here again.

  • Shane and Craig's place was perfect and had everything we needed for our getaway. It was so quiet and peaceful and the fireplace and hot tub were amazing. Our friend who used the small sleeping cabin said it was the best she had slept in years. The beds were very comfortable and there were plenty of towels provided. Check-in and out were super smooth and communication was great. I would stay again anytime. Thank you!

  • The cabin is in great location. The backyard is perfect: redwoods, birds, deers, jacuzzi, hammock...just perfect! The kitchen has everything you need to cook, including kitchen aid mixer, blender, spice rack, etc The place is so peaceful. A huge plus for us was the fact that Craig was available immediately for any questions...We can't wait to come back. Thank you!!!!

  • We had a wonderful time at shane and Craigs cabin. It is very true to the pictures. We loved the hot tub between the redwoods, definitely the highlight of our trip! I would recommend you plan on arriving during the daytime since the road to the house is a bit dark and narrow.

  • I brought by boyfriend to Russian River for his birthday and we had a wonderful time. The cabin was in a great location close to town wineries and tons of restaurants and bars. The deck had the most amazing view of the river and the wine and cheese was a pleasant treat! I would definitely stay again.

  • We've stayed in a lot of Airbnb rentals and this is one of the best experiences we've had. Friendly hosts who respect your privacy (even though they live right upstairs), great extra amenities and treats, cool and modern decor, and steps that lead straight into the Russian River. Perfect for a long summer weekend.

  • I almost don't want to give a good review, so that other folks don't find this spot and make it impossible to book again. It was incredible with a private spa and access to the river. Apartment was very nicely decorated and the special treats just made the visit that much more special.

  • Grace was an amazing host who responded quickly, and the place was as advertised - a slice of paradise !

    Leonard2017-07-10T00:00:00Z
  • The family and I had a wonderful stay at Grace's home. The property is situated right next to the river, and just a 5 minute drive from the center of town. We woke every morning to the sight of giant trees outside our windows and the sound of the running river. A truly relaxing experience. Grace was very accommodating, updating us on the state of the roads before our trip and leaving a crib out when I informed her we'd have a toddler with us. Overall, a great trip and I would not hesitate to recommend this listing to someone interested in a family get away.

  • Very kind and responsive hosts.

  • Grace's place was the perfect spot for the weekend getaway for me and some friends. The kitchen was well-equipped with pots, pans, utensils. It rained all weekend so we were cooped up. I had an unusual amount of questions...where certain things were...and Grace was really nice and responsive about everything. Would definitely consider staying again to take advantage of the riverside location, hot tub, and huge deck!

The Sandy Star is bright and light with ample charm and character. Hand painted murals grace 3 bedrooms and modern conveniences and cheery artwork liven up the kitchen, bathrooms and living spaces. And outside is as delightful as inside at this riverfront escape! The beautifully remodeled and bright kitchen faces the living room and sometimes dining space. A long counter seats 6 guests in bright orange tall chairs, all the better to laugh and joke with the "kitchen staff" and enjoy each other's company. New stainless steel appliances - fridge, stove and oven, dishwasher, microwave and coffee maker - and oodles of counter space make cooking a pleasure at The Sandy Star. And there's ample storage space for your sundries. Sip a cup of coffee or tea in the kitchen's seating nook while supervising breakfast preparation. Or linger in the living room with a glass of wine. From the sectional sofa, leather chair and rocking chair you can snug in front of the fireplace or turn and watch a movie on the flat-screen TV. Behind the sofa, the console converts into a dining table to seat 6 comfortably or 8 tightly. As long as the weather is nice, though, you'll want to eat outside! The crowning glory of the living room is the full wall of windows that fold open to the deck! With two outdoor heaters, large picnic table with umbrella, propane BBQ and stunning views of the river - everyone will want to hang out on the upper deck! The newly built decks hover in the redwoods for a mix of shade and sunshine. Mosey down the stairs to the lower patio and deck to the 6 person hot tub and outdoor shower. Up a short flight of stairs from the living room, each of the three bedrooms has a queen bed and unique murals painted by a local (Bay Area) artist. Two bedrooms face the river and overlook the back decks and hot tub area while one bedroom faces the street of this quiet residential neighborhood. There's a full bathroom with double sink/vanity, cheery colored walls and subway tile shower with rain shower head. Off the hallway the washer and dryer are tucked into a closet. The fourth bedroom is the kid's room - on the main level, just off the kitchen with a double/twin bunk bed with and views to the river. There are games and toys in the drawers and a door to the huge back deck. A second full bathroom with tiled shower and rain shower head is next to the kid's room and kitchen. A short mosey down a path leads to a fantastic neighborhood beach. You can cut through the backyard or walk around the house to the public easement which serves as a wide path to the river. A double kayak is locked in the lower backyard for guests to use between mid-June and the end of September, conditions permitting. Stop to pick blackberries in the summer, but look out for poison oak. This beach is accessible nearly year-round. • This was a great place to stay and hang with family and friends. Great location close to town yet private feeling. We may be back!

    Katie2016-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • Hosts were super professional and helpful! Sent several emails and called us to make sure that we were all settled in. The space itself was absolutely gorgeous and perfect for our party of 8. The location is just great, right on the river and close to town. Views were awesome, space was clean and well kept. Just perfect! Only downside was that it wasn't 100% perfect was the close proximity to the neighbor (especially near the hot tub, but wasn't really an issue).

    Daniel2015-10-12T00:00:00Z
  • The Sandy Star was excellent! The most idyllic house on the river and in the trees. The large open concept living room, kitchen and deck was perfect for a large group or family. We really enjoyed the proximity to town, we could walk one mile to town for coffee, dinner, etc. I hope to be back very soon! Thank you River Homes!

  • A very lovely property nestled in some woods next to a river, very clean, spacious and yet still cosy. Great kitchen, with everything you could need to cook (Bring your own food of course). The bathrooms are large, extremely clean with great shower pressure and heat. Beds are comfortable, clean and warm, all a decent size. Living room is comfortable, the fire place is great and the TV setup is top notch with an internet connection to match. All in all, a great place for a couple after somewhere cosy and central to many great locations or a family after a getaway.

Charming one acre retreat on the Russian River. Enchanting Zen Gardens lead directly to the river. Exceptional location for canoeing, kayaking and frolicking in the water. (free of charge 1 canoe and 2 kayaks) One and a half hours north of San Francisco, has an idyllic small town atmosphere where time has stood still. The area offers many delights: hiking in Armstrong Redwoods, wine tasting, beautiful ocean beaches, laid back coffee shops as well as fine dining. Guerneville Russian River.
The studio-space is on the ground floor steps from the garden. I reside on the second floor in the separate original residence. The space includes a very comfortable full-size bed, and a twin bed in a cozy alcove which sleeps one adult or two children. See interior photos. The kitchen has a stove, refrigerator, dishes, pans, silverware, etc. Butcher block counter work area. Toaster and coffeemaker, “free coffee included, tea drinkers can harvest fresh chocolate and or lemon mint tea from the organic garden and salad lovers can add rose petals or pansies flowers for their delight”. Cute seating area. The bathroom features a spotless over-sized tub/shower in a generous layout including large mirror. All of this with an amazing view into the Zen gardens with relaxing wind chimes, tranquil fountain and deities from around the world.  You can breakfast in bed and gaze out into a magical world of flowers where hummingbirds breakfast also. The whole environment is one of serenity. My site is eco-friendly. Thank you for considering Mein Stückchen Paradies, In other words My little piece of paradise. Please consider booking today.
  • Had a lovely weekend in the garden studio! Ursula was very warm and welcoming, offered a handful of recommendations for the area and was very accommodating with out schedule. You couldn't ask for a better location as the back of the garden led straight to the river. We used the kayak's and although the water was pretty low, we had a great time paddling along. I would definitely recommend this airbnb to others and hope to come back later in the summer.

    Melanie2015-05-17T00:00:00Z
  • Ursula was here to greet us and give us tour as expected very informative. She's lived here 40+ years and has a lot of knowledge. Studio is as advertised. Quiet. Outside is patio. Garden and Russian River. Kayaks and canoe are at your disposal. Great peaceful vacation. No tv. But Internet. Best for getaway from hustle and bustle of city life. Small town atmosphere and pleasant residents.

  • Ursula is a charming host, with a beautiful house by the river. The garden is idyllic, and the location is wonderful!

    Paul2012-08-21T00:00:00Z
  • Such a perfect summer spot. Ursula's garden is a super cool chill spot and access to the river and kayaks are what makes this one of our favorite places that we have airbnb'd. Was very sad to leave after such a killer time.

  • We had a very relaxing stay. The room and amenities met all of our expectations. The gardens are very pretty and provide a comfortable area to relax. Our hostess Ursula was gracious, friendly and very helpful The locations is centrally located for day trips to the Mendocino Coast, the Wine Country of Sonoma County.

  • We were delighted to have discovered this lovely secluded space situated in the natural beauty of Guernville with it's foresty canopy of tall pines. The only thing between us and the water was a beautiful flower garden graced with statuary representative of the world's various spiritual traditions. With kayaks (and a rowboat) readily available for our use, we kayaked and swam in these tree lined waters with only the sky above us. Our hostess, Ursula, was the best. Both welcoming and utterly charming. She showed us around and invited us to make tea from the leaves of her chocolate mint plant (I did and it was delicious). Our accommodations were immaculate. A great little kitchen was ready to go, the bedroom and bathroom were set up for comfort and enjoyment with lovely unexpected artistic touches. Both a supermarket and natural foods store are just a short drive into town. We found what we were looking for in this peaceful quiet location and imagine you will as well. Ursula is a gracious and accommodating hostess. We liked her very much. Actually, we had come for a much needed get away and left feeling we had, quite unexpectedly, made a new and quite lovable friend. Highly recommend this listing(URL HIDDEN)

  • I came up here with two friends for a girls' weekend. The studio was the perfect home base for a relaxing weekend visiting wineries and floating on the river. The studio is small but clean and has all the essentials -- and you're probably going to want to spend all your time enjoying the beautiful garden and river anyways! The town of Guerneville is a short drive away (you could walk but it would be a little long) with a Safeway and several good bars and restaurants. The kitchen is equipped to cook simple meals. There is also a barbecue and two kayaks for your use (though we didn't get a chance to try them out). Ursula was a friendly and helpful host.

    Lauren2015-06-28T00:00:00Z
  • We had an excellent stay over the weekend with Ursula at her beautiful garden studio. We enjoyed use of the two kayaks and spent most of our time in her beautiful, sunny garden. The studio was very clean and had everything we needed for cooking and comfort. We can't wait to visit again!

This beautiful river front house is an architect-designed, recently remodeled, light, airy, private retreat with commanding views of the Russian River fading into hillsides of majestic redwoods. Amazing deck with a high end jacuzzi and permanent all year dock. The house is on the river point with a terrific solarium. You are one mile from Guerneville’s shops, eclectic restaurant scene, and nightlife. Kayaks, Canoes, Stand up Paddle Board and inter-tubes are available. Close to San Francisco.
  • Kevin's house was great. We loved eating meals on the back deck enjoying the view. Kevin answered all our questions and made our trip/check in and out very easy. Thanks Kevin!

  • This is a great house on the river. Quiet with very pretty views. There is a hot tub and a BBQ on the deck for hanging out. The only downside for us was that we couldn't use the kayaks or dock as they are only free in the summer.

    Anne2017-05-07T00:00:00Z

  • What can I say? We had a lovely time at Kevin's airbnb. He was very responsive to all of our needs and even had someone fix the hot tub on the Fourth of July. Very highly recommended. I would give 6 stars if I could!

  • My partner and I stayed the night, and felt like we had stumbled upon a secret gem. Pam and Steve greeted us with open arms, and warm hearts. We were given a tour of the main house, and the adorable chicks and ducklings they are raising. The treehouse is cozy as ever, and a wonderful place to sleep in (we surprised ourselves)! It's decorated in a way that makes you feel like you'd like to move right in. We were treated to yummy wine, and some of Steve's super delicious home-brew. We then ventured to the hot tub before bed, and found ourselves under the stars. The next morning we found Pam and Steve in the kitchen cooking breakfast consisting of their own farm eggs, hearty greens, and potatoes. It was the perfect way to wake up. Over breakfast we chatted about sustainable farming, their beautiful contribution and involvement in that community, and all of the philanthropic and educational work that is done through the farm. After breakfast, we took a tour of the ground, meeting Annie (their sweet dog), cows, chickens, goats, and bees. Steve is passionate about creating a place for the next generation of bees to thrive. We spent the rest of our days exploring the land and relaxing in the patio space. We cannot wait to come back for bio blitz days, and to help with all of the amazing projects that Pam and Steve have coming up! Thank you both for a wonderful weekend!

  • My friend and I loved our stay at Pamela and Steve's beautiful farm! The apartment is lovely, comfortable, and very spacious. The private hot tub nestled in the redwoods was a great treat. The location is perfect - quiet and tucked away in the trees, but a short drive to restaurants in either direction. Pamela and Steve were wonderful hosts. We loved chatting with them in the morning over a delicious breakfast of foods from the farm homemade by Pamela and learning about permaculture design and all of the amazing work they're doing from Steve! We were sad to go and wished we'd had more time. We will definitely be back and would highly recommend staying here!

  • We had a great time staying at the treehouse. Pam and Steve provided incredible hospitality. The apartment is nice, private, and comfortable. The tour of their organic farm was very interesting and inspiring and the farm breakfast was delicious. Very relaxing experience setting. I wish we could have stayed longer.

  • Pam and Steve made us feel like family in their home from the minute we arrived. Their property is gorgeous, and we left having learned some things about organic farming as well. This was unlike any other Airbnb stay we've ever had; they really went above and beyond with hospitality. Besides gorgeous views, the space is beautiful (I want this kitchen in my own home) and the Jacuzzi was exactly what we needed after a long day traveling. I will recommend this space to anyone and everyone I know traveling to the area.

    Cathy2015-06-01T00:00:00Z
  • Steve and Pam welcomed us with open arms, and after we got settled, some delicious homebrew! What a beautiful place. The "treehouse" is very private, up in the redwoods. Nude soaking, the ready-to-go kitchen, and the entire patio out back made us feel like we were living in a mansion. Steve and Pam are generous, loving, and very passionate about permaculture. Pam is a great cook, the coffee is top-notch and tastes even better as you learn more about where it comes from. We will definitely be back! Thanks again!

Our studio is perfect for a weekend getaway for one or two people. The studio has a small deck over looking a creek with Redwoods/Maple Trees towering overhead. Take a leasure walk from our studio out Odd Fellows rd. which is approximately.75 miles to the beach. The studio is down the rd. from a popular Bed & Breakfast Inn.
For a quiet weekend or a writers retreat, our space offers quick access to outdoor fun. Rent a kayak or canoe for the day and cruise down the Russian River. We have a queen size bed and couch in the small studio. The unit is perfect for one or two guests. You will find a small grill and chairs on the deck.
We're located on the opposite end of the road from the Historical Santa Nella Bed & Breakfast Inn. Drive two miles and you will arrive in Downtown Guerneville. Great Places To Visit Boone Eat + Drink, and Pat's (classic breakfast diner) that turns into a pop up Korean restaurant at night are both excellent Drive out to the Pacific Ocean and stop off in the small town of Duncan Mills on your way. Lot of quaint shops and Cape Fear Cafe has a great breakfast menu. Hangtown Fry is our favorite (pan fried oysters w/ eggs, potatoes, toast). Sooo good!! Jump back on Hwy 116 and head west to Cafe Aquatica, well worth the trip for the solo/drip brews and the breath taking views of where the Russian River and Ocean meet. About 15-20 minutes past Guerneville. Great Coffee Shop in downtown Guerneville, Coffee Bazar on Armstrong Woods Rd. Drive a few miles and you will arrive at Scenic Armstrong Woods State Park. Park your car and walk into the park.
  • The boyfriend and I went away for his birthday weekend and this spot was perfect! We spent a lot of time reading and lounging in the (extremely comfortable) bed. After hiking all day in the Armstrong Redwoods and exploring Guerneville, it was nice to return to peace and quiet. The owners were very attentive but definitely gave us all the space and privacy we needed. The place is a bit tricky to find in the dark, so I suggest getting detailed directions from the owners before hand!

  • Ocean and his wife were terrific hosts and there studio is wonderful. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The front patio is very nicely lit up and is a great place to have a drink and listen to nature around you. There are deer close by which was nice. There are helpful instructions left in the studio which we followed. Nearby Armstrong Woods was great and only a short walk you can access the river. I would highly recommend this studio and hope to return again.

    Kevin2013-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • I loved this place! Felt homey and easy. Minna, Ocean's mom welcomed us with open arms. There were spices and condiments; coffee and cream in the fridge. Oh, and some Korbel bubbles! The grill outside was perfect. The bed was super comfy and the place was clean. The only thing that could've helped was a butcher block or small island in the kitchen for extra counter space.

  • I had a lovely experience staying in this charming studio. Ocean was very responsive to my initial questions before I decided to make my reservation, and even touched base with me during my stay to assure I had everything I needed. • Allen ' s place was perfect for our group of 4 to enjoy a relaxing weekend in the Russian River valley. Close proximity to great hiking and wine tasting.

    Thomas2016-11-06T00:00:00Z
  • Allen was very responsive to all of my questions even though he was traveling! The house is tastefully decorated and has a great vibe - loved the outdoor fire pit the best! The house is walking distance to Guerneville. Thanks for a great stay!

  • This is a beautiful home in a great area. It feels very private, but is close to great food, and a good jumping off point to explore wine country. Allen was great to work with and very honest. We came to visit around some very heavy rains and flooding in the area, and he made sure to let us know about everything beforehand. I would definitely recommend!

  • This is a wonderful, beautiful home to spend a relaxing and / or romantic getaway. We loved the modern amenities such as the great wifi, the super relaxing hot tub and the incredible projection TV system (which was just amazing to watch movies on). Allen was super communicative and helpful. Everything was exactly as advertised if not better. My better half and I would recommend this place to anyone!

    Peter2016-12-26T00:00:00Z
  • The house/cabin was superb. It should be noted that house is a full working house with all of the abilities of a "living" house. We cooked meals, played games, watched movies, washed clothes and and occupied a baby. The house and property was very well equipped to handle our complicated set of family operations. The house and specifically the kitchen was very nicely equipped and stocked. The house is private and cozy and finished with style. The location itself is the real bonus. I could not think of a better location for wine trips, ocean visits, river adventures, hiking in the state forrest, cycling, finer dining, grocery stores and the quaint nearby towns. The house itself is beautiful .... and should you need a relaxing rainy day in a cabin with a good book, you could not do much better.

  • Perfect in every way !!! Thank you for the fantastic suggestions of vineyards and eclectic places to enjoy great food!!

    Diana2017-03-21T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful, relaxing stay in this quiet, secluded property. The property is exactly as pictured: beautiful, modern interior decor and a lovely, cozy patio with an amazing hot tub. We spent a lovely 3-day romantic winter weekend here. Allen's communication was prompt and on point. Look forward to visiting again in the warmer months.

  • Great location, and perfectly described. Just a few minutes walk to town and shops, grocery, etc. Guernville is very nice small town. Blake and Santiago set up the house to be comfortable for our group, four adults and two children. With wonderful weather, we didn't really feel like leaving the property, but we did during the day and it was nice to BBQ and have the fireplace in the evening.

  • Amazing house on a quiet spot in busy guernville. Amazing outlook, loads of space, well equipped, and the best hot tub view I've ever seen. Love this place and will definitely return.

  • Great airbnb experience. As a host myself my standards are very high and I was pleasantly surprised. The pictures do not do it justice. The views of the vineyard are breathtaking. The house is well stocked and comfortable.

    Angelo2015-05-12T00:00:00Z
  • Host provided instructions prior to arrival for directions and access to house and amenities. The Vineyard Vista descriptions and photos were accurate and provided a wonderful vacation in Guerneville with close proximity to Sonoma wine country, Redwood Forests, Bodega Bay, and the Pacific coast. We thoroughly enjoyed the vineyard views in this beautiful, quiet, private setting and were extremely happy with our experience.

  • Vineyard Vista is a fantastic home in a beautiful setting. The house itself is perfect. It is large, very comfortable, and well equipped. Our group of five had an absolutely wonderful stay here. Santiago provided were clear and easy to follow instructions prior to arrival for directions and access to house and amenities. I would strongly recommend this house.

    Laura2016-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • The views from this house really were amazing, probably even better than what the photos capture. The house was located really close to Safeway and to the main street of Guerneville, and also to Armstrong Redwoods. The kitchen was well-stocked with supplies for cooking. The bedrooms were large and comfortable. And Santiago was very responsive when communicating through e-mail. Will definitely stay here again!

    Erika2016-03-22T00:00:00Z
  • The house was just as advertised- beautiful views, nice back deck with hang out space, & comfortables bedroom suites. The location is ideal- close to town and the river. The kids loved the hammock and picking blackberries. Went to Goat Rock beach one day- we highly recommend going there it is one of the best beaches in the world! and pretty close by. We had a great time and would love to stay there again.

  • Cozy little cabin, out in the country. The place was well furnished. As noted, cell phone reception is weak, but Internet works great. Great place to relax. Irina wrote up long text with everything you need to about the neighbood. It was very handy! Only thing is the front door lock.. It can take a couple of times to get open. Otherwise, everything is in excellent condition and we would stay here again!

    Raymond2014-06-10T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful setting, great value and great hostess. And only about 20 min drive from Santa Rosa.

    Glen2017-09-18T00:00:00Z
  • Loved the whole area. Nice place surrounded by trees. Everything was nice. The pool and sitting area were great too. Just a fun place for a vacation!! We brought an extra fan because it was 100 that weekend and we were glad we did.

  • Lovely and cozy. Plenty of heating. Host Irina was immediately available and very helpful via phone. I'd recommend this place.

  • Cute condo in the redwoods was perfect for our weekend getaway. We loved that we were able to bring our dog- he loved the dog run down the street and hiking at Armstrong state park (just a short drive away). The condo had everything that we needed to be comfortable and Irina was a good host in the sense that all the information we needed was provided before we arrived and she was easy to get in touch with when we had a question. I would definitely stay here again!

    Francesca2015-01-06T00:00:00Z
  • Thank you Irina, we loved our stay! Great location and place. We will definitely stay there again.

    Shelley2017-05-14T00:00:00Z
  • We had a nice stay at Irina's place. As she makes clear, the walls are thin in the triplex but everyone was great in the other units and we didn't have any problems. Irina was very good on communication & flexibility. And we loved having our meals out on the patio under the redwoods!

    Michelle2017-08-12T00:00:00Z

  • Hi highly recommend visiting this beautiful, modern vacation home in Guernvillle. The home was gorgous, clean and had extremely comfortable beds. The hot tub was a great addition! I loved sitting out on the porch being surrounded by trees with views of the river. The only mild issue was noise coming from the road bellow... otherwise it was fantastic!

    Kathryn2017-06-11T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing Russian River getaway in the heart of the redwoods with a million dollar view!

    Scott2017-07-04T00:00:00Z
  • Gorgeous windows, lux beds, and very chill house for hanging out and cooking.

    Molly2017-08-02T00:00:00Z
  • The house was incredible and exceeded our expectations. We already booked to come back in August, the house is stunning!

    Ziad2017-05-29T00:00:00Z
  • Really beautiful place, modern, comfortable, clean and with great views especially in the morning! Our best moment was the breakfast on the deck! The kids loved the hot tub! A little noisy because the road is just down the house, but it didn't bother us.

    Benedicte2017-04-30T00:00:00Z
  • We had high hopes for our stay but unfortunately were quite disappointed. The house was very dirty upon arrival, with wet towels on the bathroom floor, dirty dishes all in the kitchen, and used bedrooms. We reached out to Andrew and his assistant, Denise, did get back to us later that night, but unfortunately the cleaners couldn't come until the next day so we had to make due with a dirty house. There were not enough clean linens in the closet to make up the house ourselves so we ended up having to sleep on the couch. This was a very bad experience with airbnb, and the communication with the host was poor. Denise assured us we would be reimbursed for our stay but that never came to fruition and we were not able to make contact after we checked out. Overall a big waste of money and very embarrassing to us as we were hosting out of town guests.

    Madeleine2017-10-03T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful house, my girlfriends and I had a great stay. The best windows and view are amazing. The road does mean some noise in the morning and the windows bring in early light but very pleasant and peaceful.

Adorable creekside home with 2 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms. Located steps from the Russian River and walking distance to downtown Guerneville. Features include a private yard with a full sized hot tub and semi-fenced area for your well behaved pooch!
Comfortable and cozy cottage with 2 bedrooms and 2 full baths. The LR also closes off with a door from the hallway and bedrooms. Relax by the gas fireplace or enjoy the peaceful and green view of the creek from the covered porch. There is a new hot tub under the stars in a private, partially fenced yard.
Conveniently located, walkable (partially along 116) or short drive to downtown to Guerneville and steps to the Russian River. River beach access within 300 feet and just 1 mile to Johnson's Beach. Also close to wine tasting along Westside Road, a 20 min drive to the coast at Jenner and less than 10 minutes from Armstrong Redwoods State Park...just to name a few of the many local attractions! The neighborhood is great for taking walks. There is a wonderful 2-mile (flat) horseshoe loop that runs along either side of our creek, The Hulbert Creek. And many options for shorter strolls as well. Cool off under the Redwoods in the summertime and bring a warmer coat for the cooler months. It stays shady and cool under all the big trees. :)
  • Staying at Monica's house was so nice and it met all the description points perfectly. Bathrooms are big and all new. Showers are great. They kitchen is fully stocked with new pots and pans, a full set of glasses, wine glasses, coffee mugs. New coffee machine. BBQ grill is nice too. Definitely a nice house for a weekend to escape SF.

    Paul2017-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay at the roadhouse. It's cute, quiet, and thoughtfully well stocked. Because of the rain, there was flooding in the area, and Monica kept us up to date on the status and offered suggestions for alternate routes in case of road closures. We enjoyed the fireplace and the back deck was charming. Thanks Monica!

    Andrew2017-02-12T00:00:00Z
  • This is an amazing house! Perfect for four people (or four folks and a kid)! The house has everything you can think of and is ideally situated - not too far from downtown - but far away enough to enjoy the peace, quiet and majesty of the redwoods.

    Eric2017-09-04T00:00:00Z
  • Monica - was a joy to deal with. This was my second time at the house and it was just as charming as the first. Feels like home now.

    Michele2016-12-04T00:00:00Z
  • It was exactly what we expected - a true gem of a place in the heart of the sonoma wine country - I will be booking it again for sure!

    Michele2016-10-03T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time at Monica's place. Extremely relaxing and equipped with everything you need to spend a great weekend!

    Thomas and Coumba2016-04-12T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed in Monica's house for my birthday with 5 of my friends, and it was wonderful. I didn't know if 6 people would be comfortable in this house, but it worked out great, and it was very comfortable and extremely clean. The location is right around the corner from a super cute restaurant, and within short driving distance from downtown. We did spend more time in Healdsburg, but the drive to/from is stunning. The backyard is lovely amidst the trees, and the hot tub in the evening was perfect. I really enjoyed this little gem, and would highly recommend it!

    Courtney2016-05-16T00:00:00Z
  • Monica's place was perfect down to every last detail. The cabin is well laid out, has many little thoughtful details to make the stay more comfortable (well stocked kitchen, lots of towels, fans and heaters in all the rooms, etc.) We especially enjoyed sitting under the stars in the CLEAN hot tub. Monica responded promptly to all of my questions and gave great recommendations for local eateries, wineries and places to explore. I will absolutely be back for another stay! One thing to note, which Monica did warn us about, parking is limited to two cars; we arrived with one small car but I would imagine if you have two big vehicles it would be doable but a tight fit.

  • The place was clean and very nice. It was very well decorated and a perfect place to get away from the city. The houses were a little closer than we anticipated. Thank you for the great stay Brigette!

    Kendal2016-06-07T00:00:00Z
  • Brigette provided us with a perfect weekend stay in the area. The home had everything we needed. Got great use out the jacuzzi and bbq. Kitchen and bedrooms were comfortable and well stocked with plenty of blankets and utensils. We never met with Brigette but she was in constant communication with us prior to arrival and answered any questions we had immediately. I would definitely recommend for a stay in the area. Thank you Brigette!!

  • My husband and I stayed at Nama'Stay to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. Brigette had everything wonderfully ready for our arrival and the cabin exceeded the description! Being right in the midst of the Redwoods while sitting on the deck, enjoying Russian River red wines, was a great escape. The location was great for getting to the Pacific (Jenner), Armstrong Redwoods or the wineries in Healdsburg, Santa Rosa and Sebastapol. Downtown Geurneville is a throw back in time, but has everything one needs! We are now refreshed and look forward to our next 30. Thank you Brigette!

    Laura2016-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • This is was the perfect romantic getaway for my boyfriend and I to celebrate our anniversary! Live music, food, and drinks were just steps away, fabulous brunch and shopping were a few minutes drive, and we simply packed a picnic, walked across the street, and found a perfect spot to float in the river. Then hit Korbel winery for some champagne on our way home. Bridgette's place was a dream come true, and we were definitely sad to leave. Beautiful, stylish, and cozy. 10/10 would recommend! We will definitely be back!

    Jennifer2017-07-17T00:00:00Z
  • If you're exploring the Sonoma wine region, fantastic base! Russian River wineries close by, only half an hour from others like Francis Ford Coppola's stunning winery. The place itself is ensconced in a little 'village' with a pool, great for kids. The town is a 3-minute drive away with everything you need. House itself: clean, full of amenities, super for cooking. Finally, host communication is flawless. Bravo.

  • We loved our stay at the Outside Inn! The two units worked well for two families with children on different schedules and the proximity to the river was awesome. The home was well-equipped and Achim was a great host. For families with children, the home is perhaps better suited for children who are slightly older (3+) -- it is a quiet neighborhood and there are several areas of the home where stairs are difficult to block off. But we still had a great time, even with two little ones... The best part was the backyard, which was as great as the pictures suggest -- a really magical setting.

  • We had a great weekend at this little mini-compound! The outdoor space is exactly as pictured--private and beautiful, with a lovely grassy lawn, fig tree (full of ripe fruit in August!), great space for big group meals, and a nice, clean hot tub. We also enjoyed the indoor space (the upstairs is particularly nice for watching a movie as a group), appreciated the comfortable beds upstairs (and the super-luxe air bed downstairs), and loved how close we were to the river. We used the kayaks provided a couple of times and swam other times, and although the beaches were busy, the river is so big that it hardly seemed to matter. The neighborhood is quiet but friendly and seemed family-oriented. Achim was excellent and flexible with communication, and was kind in dealing with our fluctuating time of arrival. The amount of documentation associated with the property was rather overwhelming, but it does indeed contain answers to almost every question you could ever have about the place. The property is value-priced, but it's worth noting that a few elements need updating (you WILL fall out of the moldy/disintegrating hammock, kitchen supplies are pretty crusty, a few drawer fronts are falling apart). The two apartments are pretty different -- the lower level apartment is in good condition but is just less nice and modern than the upper, and one of the downstairs "bedrooms" is actually in an open space shared with the living room (i.e. it's not private). And while the 5th-bedroom "cottage" is darling, its occupants need to go into the house to use a bathroom/shower -- and they WILL bonk their heads on the shelf above the cottage sink. However, we didn't feel ripped off, as it's so easy to feel in this neck of the woods. Overall, we had a good experience. Thanks, Achim!

  • The house is great, and the backyard is amazing. It's perfect for a large group, very peaceful and located near downtown Guerneville. Achim and Kerry were both very responsive and friendly!

  • The Outside Inn is a really special place. My group of 3 families (3 moms and 6 young kids) had a blast over a long weekend. We loved the outdoor spaces and the easy access to the river. Achim was a great host and communicated very clearly throughout the whole process. I would stay here again and highly recommend it!

    Caitlin2016-10-10T00:00:00Z
  • We went there as two families for a week vacation. The house is perfectly setup for that with two independent levels. The house is well equipped, the yard is awesome for the kids and morning yoga sessions, and the outdoor decks are perfect for large family meals in the sun. The beach is so close and having the kayaks there is fantastic.

    Arthur2016-08-21T00:00:00Z
  • We were so very pleased with Achim's home. It has such a wonderfully private feel with a great back yard. The house was very nice and the kitchen(s) very well stocked. A wonderful few relaxing days, and we'd definitely love to stay there again!

    Julie2017-05-01T00:00:00Z
  • As advertised. Great stay!

    Joanna2017-05-15T00:00:00Z
  • We went up here for a bachelorette party and we were not disappointed one bit. This place was amazing! So much space and the pictures do not even do the yard justice. The river is a 5 minute walk and it is the perfect place for a larger group. Achim was one of the best air bb hosts that I have dealt with. He responded within hours to any questions we had which is rare in the world of air bb. I would highly recommend this place for your Russian river vacation!

History meets laid back luxury in this recently remodeled and tastefully decorated 3 bdr/2 bthr house nestled amid majestic redwood trees. Tucked away on a quiet and steep street above the charming and rustic town of Guerneville, this tranquil and romantic place offers unparalleled views of the woods and unique unforgettable indoor and outdoor settings. It is located a short drive away from the restaurants, wineries, breweries, beaches and farmers' markets. Relax and restore at Eagle's Nest.
The house, currently incorporating 1580 sq ft of living space, was built as a vacation cabin for a San Francisco family in early 1900s, and some fascinating features of the cabins typical for the area have been preserved. Recently it has been remodeled, expanded and updated, brought up to code and made livable all year long. A remarkable master suite boasting amazing views of the redwoods, with an en suite bathroom and a modern and private outside shower, was an important feature of this update. The house sits on a 0.26 acre lot and there are neighboring houses on either side. The area around the house was landscaped and turned into a lush private garden incorporating redwood trees, hot tub and several sitting areas. The master suite, at almost 300 sq ft, is a new addition to the house. It boasts remarkable views of redwoods, a very comfortable king size RH sleigh bed with a Nest mattress, a stylish sitting area for two, a coffee nook with a Nespresso machine, a modern and light en suite bathroom and an access to a remarkable outdoor heated shower and its own private outside deck. It is separated from the rest of the sleeping quarters by the foyer, the dining room and the kitchen and as such is very serene and private. The second bedroom, the quietest in the house, has a queen size bed and plenty of storage. The third bedroom is the smallest (please check the house plan, in the photos, for exact dimensions) and features a twin-size bed with a twin-size trundle, which could be accessed by pulling out the lower part of the bed. It is perfect for two kids or two adults who do not mind sleeping on twin size beds in close proximity :) Second and third bedroom share one spacious and well-lit bathroom, which features contemporary multi-headed shower. Recently it has been remodeled to include contemporary glass doors. The living room features a modern and highly efficient wood burning fireplace, unique decor and leather covered furniture. The 8 ft long sofa is dawn filled. The antique cabinet hosts TV, cable and Apple TV for Netflix access. For Apple TV and other streaming services please log in with your account. The kitchen with a refrigerator and dishwasher is well stocked and has everything needed to prepare gourmet meals. The dining room boasts some remarkable antique furniture. We hope you enjoy and care for it. The dining table sits eight. Outside areas include: 1. The front deck with the sitting area, perfect for an afternoon glass of wine or morning cup of coffee. 2. The master bedroom deck with a table for four. 3. Breakfast area just outside of the kitchen with a table for six. 4. Hot tub 5. Fire pit with sitting for four.
The house is located about four minute drive from Main Street Guerneville, as well as from many restaurants and bars, and three minute drive from Korbel. It is not located directly on the river and is above the flood zone. The house is within a walking distance from Rio Nido, and the Roadhouse is about five min away by foot. Armstrong woods can be reached by an energetic hiker as well (3.5 miles) via Rio Nido road. Many river beaches are within 5-15 min drive, and the Pacific Coast is about 25-30 min by car.
  • Thank you Olga for letting us stay in this amazing property. We truly felt at home and didn't want to leave- the only bad part of our stay was that it was too short. The house is somehow both cozy and open- the master suite connecting to the main house via a window walled hallway gives is a set away feeling while being close enough to hear our children in the other rooms at night. We especially loved the backyard area- bbq, outdoor dining, showering area, hot tub set up among the redwoods, and fire pit (although we didn't use it for safety reasons). Our 2 year old son loved climbing around and exploring and I felt comfortable letting him do so. He picked quite a bit of wild clover to give to me, his 6 mo old sister and his mother. The front deck was perfect for lunches and lounging. Everything in the house is top notch. Usually airBnB houses are furnished by IKEA or garage sales- everything in this house was honestly nicer than we have at home. I was a little nervous that our 2 year old would damage something valuable- but he was fixated on the (sturdy) antique telephone and we mostly played outside anyway. I've already recommended this property to several friends and would love to stay again in the future. Thank you Olga for being so responsive, helpful, and accommodating- especially allowing us a later checkout to work around nap schedules. Best- Ed, Robin, James, and Isla

  • This home is beautiful and a perfect spot for a family getaway. Wonderful information provided for the home as well as surrounding establishments - we very much enjoyed our stay at Eagle's Nest. Highly recommended.

    Ronald2016-10-24T00:00:00Z
  • Olga's place was comfortable, quiet, and impeccably decorated. We really enjoyed the house itself, and the surrounding attractions (wineries, Armstrong Redwoods). Will definitely be back again. Thank you!!

    Connie2016-12-21T00:00:00Z
  • My family of 6 stayed here 2 nights while passing through this beautiful area on our NorCal vacation. Eagle's Nest is elegant indeed! The decor is great and the amenities are even better. We used the wifi, tv, fully stocked kitchen, washer and dryer, outdoor fire pit, gas grille, outdoor shower, and of course, the hot tub. The trees surrounding the property dominate every view from the house. The only bad part is that we didn't feel like leaving this home to explore the surrounding area too much and we were all just fine with that. Parking is tight for our family Suburban, but I learned the manuever quickly. We also enjoyed the nearby Sonoma Canopy Tours if you're into that sort of thing. Highly recommend Olga's place.

    Kalvan2017-08-02T00:00:00Z
  • Olga's place is very nice, the views are stunning! The house had a lot of extras everywhere. We didn't had any issues that needed the the host assistance but she was available. My only tip for visitors is to be advised is the parking area was tight for a mid size car and a full size pickup but enough for 2 mid size cars.

    Sara2017-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • Olga's house acted as a great base for an active getaway. Just minutes from the river, 10 minutes to Armstong State forest and easy access to the coast. The diverse outdoor spaces at the house provide lots of wonderful nooks to hang out in the morning and evenings. Guernville was super close for food options but the well stocked kitchen made it easy to want to cook. My Mom called the master bed the cloud bed because it was that comfortable. Essy to recommend!

    Delmore2017-09-27T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful, comfortable home. Olga was prompt and responsive to our needs. The hot tub and citronella candles were a nice touch. Met some of the neighbors on the way in who were super nice and helpful as well.

    Jacques B2016-07-22T00:00:00Z
  • Quaint house in a very convinient location, can walk to the Rio Nido lodge and close to river and town. The house and grounds a bit small but overall a great place to spend the night.

Vacation Beach is one of the most desirable, quiet, family-friendly neighborhoods with flat, wide streets, redwood views in all directions, and sunshine. Friendly locals and vacationing friends and families stroll to the beach from morning through sundown, enjoying kayaking, canoeing, paddling, fishing, swimming, picnicking and sunning on the beach. You will see families shooting hoops or playing on the jungle gym at the park, and taking walks to see the changing gardens and perhaps snag a ripe apple, plum, fig, loquat, cherry or blackberry growing over a fence (watch out for the blackberry stickers) on Orchard Avenue! We will also let you know when the fruit in our garden is ripe for the picking. Once it turns breezy near the beach, you can extend your day outdoors on the hammock for 2, in the hot tub, or by the outdoor fire table. Or you can dine indoors or outdoors on your barbecued catch of the day with some wine you may have discovered at a vineyard nearby, followed by cuddling up with popcorn and Netflix on the big screen.
  • Heather's place is a great affordable place to stay during your escape to the Russian River. Minutes away from a neighborhood beach, beautiful garden, clean and new interior. Bed was comfortable, and the couch had a pullout mattress. The fire table outside is a nice touch.

    Anthony2017-04-02T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful time at "Welcome Aboard"! We found what we needed in the accommodations, and more than we expected in the thoughtful touches and the gracious hosts. Everything was well thought out from the keyless entry to the detailed information Heather left us, even a first aid kit was provided! The kitchen is well appointed and very functional, we enjoyed dining both indoors and outdoors. The bed was comfortable with plenty of linens provided. I appreciated having access to the washer and dryer, and having basic toiletries provided. It made our family get away that much easier. The private wind protected backyard was lovely with lush grass and lots of seating and lounging options. The location was great for us: we walked to the neighborhood river beach some days but also drove to town, the ocean, the woods; lots of options for short day trips or longer excursions from this home base. Thank you Heather and Jorge!

    Malisa2017-07-01T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our stay at Heather's in Guerneville! Heather was quick and responsive when we had some issues getting into the listing. She had some chocolate and a cold bottle of bubbly waiting for us, which was such a nice touch for our relaxing getaway. The place itself was beautiful and exactly what we expected from the listing. The deck and outdoor table made for some fun hangouts in the backyard, and the hot tub was a dream come true! Would definitely stay here again!

    Ana2016-12-11T00:00:00Z
  • The unit was wonderful - very clean and pretty. The side/backyard was beautiful and the spa was huge, and very easy to use. Heather was very helpful in getting us there and making sure everything was very comfortable for when we got there. We were celebrating an anniversary and a birthday, and the host left us some bubbly and chocolates to get our weekend celebration started. The unit is also very close to Guerneville's cute downtown with lots of eateries and bars. We would definitely love to stay there again!

  • Heather was an amazing hostess! The house was stocked with everything we could have needed, the beach themed decor was uplifting and tasteful, and the gorgeous backyard with the outdoor tables, hammock, and hot tub were perfect!! This was the best airbnb experience I've ever had! We also loved the location of the house - a short walk away from the river, close to town, but not too close so no noise pollution, etc., and not crowded by too many sun-blocking trees. I would absolutely stay here again!

  • Great location -- close walk to the beach and a short drive to Guerneville. The apartment is homey and clean, with a great backyard, hammock, and hot tub. The apartment is an in-law unit behind the main house -- just something to be aware of. Heather was also a great, respectful, and responsive host!

  • We rented this place at the last minute because our camping plans got rained out. It was easy booking and the listing was very accurate. We had a great time, despite the rain. It was cozy and comfortable. In between showers we took the canoe our for short paddle. We explored Guerneville and Geyserville. Our favorite winery was Alexander Valley had a complimentary wine cave tour that was great. Thanks!

  • A great location, just a short drive to town, activities and Armstrong Redwoods. Access to the river was just a short walk & the cabin was well outfitted with a kayak, an inter tube & many other items for hours of fun.

  • Great location. Great combination of shared and personal space (with the 2 cabins). Easy travel to wine country, too!

  • Our stay at the Little Sunbeam couldn't have been more perfect for our group of 5 adults and one toddler! The size of the house and the amenities inside were even better than described. The weather was awesome during our stay and the yard was truly an outdoor living space for us. My niece enjoyed running around the fenced courtyard and the sand toys for the river. The adults enjoyed the river toys- a canoe, kayak, and tube. Beds were comfy, bathrooms were clean, and decor was adorable. We'll definitely stay here again!

My 1940's redwood cabin is a rustic, charming home less than a mile from Guerneville's historic downtown. On a steep hillside above St. Hubert's Creek, a tributary of the Russian River, ancient redwoods tower over our little valley road. Guerneville is a famously LGBTQ friendly town. Your cozy room is on the back of the house with large windows on both sides of the iron bed, and has it's own full bathroom downstairs on the main level of the house. My sweet boxer Maeve lives here as well.
I have a Canine Good Citizen who adores people and is very easy going but does not always enjoy the company of other dogs. Please do not inquire about bringing your pet, it is not a suitable option for this home.
Guerneville is a well known LGBT friendly community, welcoming and warm. World class restaurants and famous gay bars like the Rainbow Cattle Company make night life plentiful, and you can enjoy our fantastic inner coastal weather floating down the Russian River in kayaks or canoes or wine tasting at hundreds of local Sonoma Valley/ Russian River wineries. California's best Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir growing regions are within 10 miles of my home. Fantastic hiking and beaches are a gorgeous 20 minute drive away; I'll have a book of recommendations waiting for you!
  • Julie's place is in an excellent location, a short walk from downtown and far enough away to get some peaceful downtime. We loved the bright and sunny patio and the house itself with its 1940s charm. I was unsure of how much privacy we'd have when we booked this room, and I was pleased that Julie struck a great balance between attentive host and giving us our own space. The house is clean and has all the basic amenities you could ask for on a trip away from home (including, thankfully, coffee). This listing mentions poor cell reception but truthfully, I didn't even notice if that was the case-- the wifi was excellent so we were able to connect to the outside world when necessary. And an added perk was spending some time with Julie's sweet (and well trained) boxer rescue, Maeve! I would happily stay here again.

    Emily2017-07-16T00:00:00Z
  • Julie was very nice and welcoming. The room is pleasant, a bit small but bed is very comfortable. Julie was very easy to communicate with and very good host. She even went away most of the days to give us more privacy. This place is so quiet and is location is beautiful.

Julie was super friendly, positive, and helpful with recommendations for restaurants and things to do. You can't help but get into a relaxed mood while visiting Guerneville and staying at Julie's cozy cabin! May not be appropriate for people over 6 feet tall!

Julie was an amazing host, very friendly, easy to communicate with and was very kind to reiterate the check-in information when I didn't know where to find it :). The room was very nice, tidy and bright, the bed was very comfortable. Julie also let me bring my little puppy with me so he didn't have to spend time away from me ^^ And the house is about 20 minutes walk from downtown Guerneville – very convenient!

  • The place is so nice! Everything is updated from showers to sound system to jacuzzi. Very clean and Luis was always available if we needed him. very nice guy :) Small town but grocery store and everything you would need is close by. Loved celebrating my birthday here!
