  • Cosy little cottage with everything you need for a short stay. Lovely grounds - peaceful and secluded. And Linton is a pretty little village to explore - with a zoo just round the corner! Conrad and Jade were helpful throughout. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend!

  • Conrad was very informative and friendly. This place has a nice cosy touch to it and the grounds were very beautiful. The drive into Cambridge wasn't too difficult at all. We enjoyed the serenity and stars at night. A free parking spot was great. Anyone considering living in a minimalistic 'tiny home' should try it out. It's something that I'm considering due to rising costs in property prices.

  • Beautiful Surroundings This quaint cottage is well equipped with everything you need. The gardens are beautiful and there are woods you can explore behind the cottage. The bed is comfortable and the shower was lovely and hot after a cold day out in the cold. A great place to use as a base to explore surrounding area. Definitely recommended for a 2 person stay.

  • This charming cottage is in a great location, we visited Linton, Saffron Walden and Cambridge easily by car. It’s a great value for money and the novelty of staying in a windmill cottage is really lovely! Conrad was quick to respond to any queries, which was great as well and made it very easy, and solved any issues quickly.

    Linda2019-10-30T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed a two nights at the Windmill. It was a lovely stay with loads of special touches to make things extra comfortable. We really loved it.

  • Bruce’s place is a super cool building and beautifully presented! The view into the garden is lovely to wake up to especially with the cute ducks wandering round. Our dog came with us too so we were impressed that there was a special doggie towel left to clean him up with. The fresh flowers were also a lovely touch. I would definitely recommend for a chilled getaway. We went on a long dog walk through the fields to a vineyard, went punting in Cambridge and also went to a really lovely Thai restaurant 10 mins drive away called the theee tuns. Thanks for a great stay.

  • A compact and functional room (had a small fridge, microwave small desk and a TV). Very nice and welcoming landlady. Has several adorable pussy cats, but the cats take a few days to get used to a new visitor and some of them enjoy a lot of pampering :-). There a real rooster and some hens in the run (for a real country life experience). Also there is a small private patio for the extension, with garden table and a pair of chairs. You can prop open the catflap in the garden door for ventilation (or open it, that door also has glass in it serves as a window). Plenty of private parking space available. En-suite toilet has only toilet (WC) and a sink (no access to a shower or bathroom in the main house) at the moment, so plan on using the showering facilities in work/gym/etc. PS: Shower would be constructed some time in the future.

  • I have stayed with Josie for 5 nights. She is the nicest host that I have ever seen. She picked me up from the train station although it was late. Every morning did me a favour and took me to the work as I don't have a car and new to the area. Best breakfasts and dinners. Such a lovely and intelligent lady. It was a pleasure to be at her house and spend time with her. Always responded to all my needs. So happy I spent my first time in Cambridge at Josie's house. Thank you Josie :)

  • Beautiful house in a beautiful area. The host was very friendly and made me feel comfortable on my first time in Air BnB. The host was very interesting in hearing about my work and was able to offer some advice on companies in the local area which was so appreciated. I had an important meeting the next day and being able to relax in this friendly environment really helped set me up for the day. Thanks so much.

  • Tge host, Josie is a veryvkind and helpful person. My stay at Josie's place was first interrupted by athsma and then by a change in work circumstances which meant I had to cancel my stay. Throughout, Josie was understanding and very helpful. My push bike developed a puncture on my way to the accomodation and when stranded in the dark she drove out and gave me a lift to the accomodation in her car. She even took my bike for me the next day and brought it back repaired! After the athsma she moved me to a room in the farm, offering me use of kitchen and shower there too, and she gave me lots of lovely free food which I greatly appreciated and enjoyed. Josie also refunded me for the days I didn't stay with her. A thoroughly commendable person and a lovely setting to stay on a farm with all the animals

The Manger has a unique, peaceful & beautiful location just 20 minutes from Cambridge . We are situated right on the Icknield way with elevated views across Cambridgeshire with the picturesque village of Linton a short walk or 3 min drive away. The Roman Road offers great walking and biking opportunities. We also have Chilford Hall Vineyard right on our doorstep. The historic market town of Saffron Walden is 8 miles away, Newmarket the home of racing 12, The Imperial War Museum at Duxford 13.
The Manger is a comfortable 2 bedroom self contained barn conversion, newly decorated with high ceilings through out. There is a fully fitted, well equipped kitchen with new appliances. The spacious living room leads onto a gorgeous decked area with fabulous views. The bathroom is newly tiled with a new shower enclosure and bath. All tiled areas have under floor heating and the building has it's own central heating system. Breakfast Hopefully there is everything in the Manger that you need for your stay and there will be a welcome pack comprising of all you need for a good breakfast and tea and coffee (there is also a Dolce Gusto coffee machine). The property is recently decorated and comfortably furnished with its own heating controls and all tile areas have under floor heating.
We are lucky to live on one of the few hills in Cambridgeshire with exceptional views and peace and quiet. The lovely village of Linton is within walking distance where guests will find shops and pubs notably The Dog and Duck serving excellent food, as well as the Crown Inn further up the High Street. We also have the Linton Kitchen coffee shop, an Indian restaurant and various other shops including a small organic produce shop, gift shop, florist and bakers and Daryl Nantais art gallery. There are masses of walking and cycling opportunities on the roman road nearby and it is possible cycle all the way to Cambridge. We are neighbours to Chilford Hall Vineyard where you can take a Vineyard tour (pre booking required) or when open have lunch at the Vineyard bistro. https://www.chilfordhall.co.uk
  • Lovely conversion, clean with all the facilities you need. Great view over the valley (Cambridgeshire is pretty flat!) and the decking area would be lovely when warmer. Wi fi was a little weak but great mobile signal. Some nice touches including fresh eggs, milk and bacon. Jayne was very friendly on arrival but left me to it. She also helpfully provided a power socket so I could charge my car. Linton itself has a few nice little shops. The bakery also sells lovely cheeses and there is a small Coop supermarket. Recommended.

  • Fantastic place with a beautiful view. Very clean. Jayne was very welcoming and breakfast was a great added bonus. Highly recommend.

    Marian2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Jayne's pretty flint cottage perched above the village of Linton. Clean and bright with a lovely view, this is a super comfortable and welcoming place to stay; with the added benefit of everything you could want for breakfast waiting for you in the fridge. A peaceful location perfect for visiting Cambridge, thank you Jayne.

    Chris2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful stay at Jayne’s place. It’s spacious and stylish and has everything we could have needed. The house has a beautiful view over the fields and an enchanting little forest on the doorstep which we enjoyed walking in very much. Thank you!

    James2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Four of us stayed in this lovely house for a weekend away. On arrival, it was easy to gain access with the key safe and the house was warm, clean and comfortable. The breakfast items were a lovely touch. Would definitely recommend to anyone who would like a quiet weekend.

    Katherine2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful location and lovely host. We’ve stayed at Jayne’s place for 2 weeks. The Manger is very clean, spacious, quiet, relaxing and comfortable. The scenery toward Linton is beautiful. Linton is a short walk from the house (or a 2-3 minute drive) where you can find a co-op if you need anything. There is also a lovely traditionally village style pub, dated from 1600 called The Dog & Duck where you can enjoy a good meal and a drink. The kitchen is supplied with everything you need for cooking regarding cookware and is well stocked with breakfast items like cereals, bread, milk, jam, yogurt, orange juice, tea, coffee etc. Jayne even left some fresh eggs from the farm & bacon for us on arrival which was really much appreciated. Staying there for 2 weeks I brought my own blanket from home, but when I got there Jayne had 4-5 blankets in the house which I've loved. I highly recommend the Manger, we’ll definitely return.

  • Outstanding place to stay: wonderful little secluded location but still easy to find. Whole place is beautifully done and immaculately clean and tidy. The provision of breakfast and snacks was excellent: plenty of snacks and things to keep us going and an excellent breakfast choice. Thoroughly recommend!

Our bungalow is large and has a beautiful garden. The village itself has two old pubs - The thatched roof John Barleycorn which is ten minutes walk away and the Plough at the other end of the village. We also have a village shop and a new delicatessen and coffee shop . There is a BP garage close by on the A505 which has a Marks and Spencer food outlet and the larger village of Sawston has both Indian and Chinese restaurants . The village itself has numerous little walkways around it with flint walls . Duxford is close to Hexel , Welcome Trust,Volvo, Welding Inst, Edexel, and Imperial War Museum
As mentioned we have two lovely old pubs and a village shop and delicatessen in the village a short walk away.
  • We needed a room in Duxford to spend time with friends who live there. Lynda was absolutely fab to accommodate our needs. Her place is very well turned out and kept very warm. Very comfortable bed and ensuite toilettes. Wifi working well.

    Katsuyoshi2019-11-18T00:00:00Z
  • Lynda's bungalow was perfect for what I needed. It was clean and very comfortable. The bedroom and bathroom were ideal, the shower was powerful and the bed was comfy. Linda's communication was prompt and helpful and check in was made very easy. The bungalow is in a great location for Duxford Airfield and Stansted Airport.

    Andy2019-11-07T00:00:00Z
  • If you stay in Duxford to go to the Genome Campus in Hinxton expect a 40min walk in a road without sidewalks and no light, which make things complicated for the return. You are kind of obliged to take a taxi. Otherwise, Lynda is a great host !

    Isabel2019-11-01T00:00:00Z
  • Comfortable and very good value place to stay. Duxford is a nice little village and Lynda’s is just a few minutes from a lovely pub - the John Barleycorn.

  • Lynda's place is brilliant and perfect for short or long stays. Lynda is very discreet and helpfull. Highly recommended!

    Panagiotis2019-09-26T00:00:00Z
  • This is a marvelous place. I was only there for two nights but everything was excellent. It has all of the appliances and accouterments you’d need. I’ve been using AirBnbs for the past two months in Europe. Lynda’s place is one of the best, if not the best. Great location, great support. If you’re going to Duxford call Lynda. I know that I will next time.

    Bob2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • Comfortable and clean in a great location

    Simon2019-07-14T00:00:00Z
  • I can’t say enough about Lynda’s place~ simple, year perfect: privacy, quiet, immaculately clean room & bath! Very easy checkin~ and so nice to have a kettle with coffee/tea and 1/2 bath in the room. Although I didn’t have the chance to meet her, Lynda was very quick to respond to any questions and problems. You really can’t go wrong staying there- right on a main bus line, walking distance to a wonderful pub with delicious food. And cozy, clean, comfy accommodations, all at a wonderful price! Thanks so much!!

  • Tim and his partner were great at guiding me to the location as it wasn't so straightforward on the postcode alone. The bed was comfortable and the shower was respectable which were my main requirements. The lodge is away from the main residence so you have your own space to do as you wish. A tv would have been a nice distraction but I visited the local pub instead for a change of scenery which served it's purpose. The wine bar opposite stocks some lovely wines to take away too.

  • Staying for the second week. Jacqui asked for feedback last time and took initiative to make those changes this time including adding a Microwave to the room. Really need to appreciate the effort by David and Jacqui to make it more comfortable for guests. Lovely place to stay, nice and tidy room with a lovely and comfy bed. Nice little touch with complimentary cereals, biscuits, coffee, tea and milk in fridge to make your own coffee or tea. Relaxing separate living room with Tv and sofa. • The accommodation was perfect for us. The location is very convenient. It is a peaceful spot with no traffic noise. Geoff and Jillian were excellent hosts and made us feel very welcome. Geoff greeted us on arrival and showed us around the apartment. Jillian had provided freshly made scones and jam, and milk in the fridge. The kitchen is well equipped with cutlery, crockery, glasses and pans. The rooms are tastefully furnished and there is easy parking. Very strongly recommended!

  • A quiet, clean place to stay, only about a half-hour bus ride to Cambridge where there are many shops and restaurants, great collegiate sights and the Fitzwilliam Museum, among others. Very hospitable hosts, large private space with full kitchen, and only a short walk to The Rose pub for a traditional English dinner. Two supermarkets within walking distance as well, and a great deli/café. Stapleford Granary literally just around the corner for lectures, concerts and other performances. Ideal.

  • We loved our stay in Caroline’s beautifully converted barn. All the comforts & amenities we could have possibly needed. And her generous hosting was a special touch - the breakfast & flapjacks were delicious! The village is v pretty, with a lovely pub which served a tasty dinner, and was staggering distance from the cottage. The area is also just two stops on the train to Cambridge, so we could do a bit of sightseeing. All round, it was a great little getaway for us and our two children.

    Davina2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • Gorgeous host, gorgeous place to stay! A beautifully and thoughtfully designed barn conversion that was a perfect stop over for us. With so much more and an “above and beyond” service provided, it is a special and memorable place to stay in it’s own right. My kids loved it and Caroline clearly enjoys being helpful, friendly and generous with guests of all ages! The barn felt homely and private whilst being just beside the owner’s home. Breakfast items and treats were fantastic. Lovely gardens, toys and games and ample toiletries. Would definitely stay again and would heartily recommend to anyone!

    Debbie2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • Caroline is lovely, helpful and friendly. Cissy and Gus loved going to collect the eggs from the hens for this morning’s breakfast 🙏

  • Caroline is a delightful host. The barn is beautifully set out with above standard furniture and fittings and comfortable beds. We had fresh eggs, bacon, mushrooms and tomatoes - plus bread and milk etc left for us in the fridge We would highly recommend visiting Cambridge and staying with Caroline.

    Janet2020-02-07T00:00:00Z
  • We had a nice stay at Caroline's. Definitely a beautifully decorated place with amazing view of the garden. Caroline is kind enough to let us enjoy the garden and even let the kids to play near the river. We love how she styled the house, it definitely felt homey and have all the things we need. She even put a lot of lovely touches like the shampoos and toiletries and plus points for the board games which the kids had fun playing with. Thanks a lot Caroline for accommodating our last minute stay!

The small village of Babraham is located about 6 miles south of Cambridge City Centre. Babraham is a quiet countryside village away from the hustle and bustle of the centre of Cambridge but yet with an excellent location from which to access Cambridge, Duxford and Newmarket (the A11 is 2 minutes drive away and the M11 just 7 minutes drive. Duxford is a mere 5 minute drive.) The village has a pub in the centre - the George Inn - which is a short stroll away and serves food. A minute walk from the house and you are in open fields.
  • This is a great place to stay - fab cottage with lots of special touches, good facilities and spotlessly clean. A rare find, with lots of charm and beauty.

    Jennifer2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • I've stayed here at least 5 times for work, it is always superb. Super cosy, wonderfully decked out with facilities and very clean. David is always super responsive.

    Richard2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • The clock cottage is an amazing place to stay for a quiet getaway. The pub is a short walk away and is lovely for a drink or some food! David was a very welcoming host, who came to see us on arrival to make sure everything was okay but then left us to it for the rest of our relaxing weekend. Lovely little touches like a bottle of wine on arrival. Would definitely recommend and / or book again!

    Charlotte2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Great cottage. Perfect for our boys who really enjoyed their stay, as did we. Would recommend.

    Phill2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • David’s cottage is so beautiful with plenty of space to enjoy with the children and a lovely lounge to relax in come the evening. The location was perfect for us with lots to do around and only a short distance from Cambridge centre. Surrounded by beautiful countryside and walks from the doorstep. It was lovely to find and clean, tidy and warm when we arrived after a few hours in the car we were all a bit stressed but after the kids ran in and immediately played happily with the toys thoughtfully left out, we were able to make ourselves a cuppa while we unloaded the car and the shopping. And immediately began to relax. Lots of thoughtful touches as well. David checked in on us via airb&b messenger every so often suggesting ideas to keep the kids entertained on rainy days and that we were happy. Overall a warm, clean, beautiful cottage with an attentive host. Cannot recommend highly enough!

    Rachael2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • I've been working on a project in Cambridge and David's place is my de facto place to stay, must be at least 4 times I've booked it now. It's wonderful and David is a great host. Highly recommended.

    Richard2020-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • I would thoroughly recommend this cottage as a getaway from the world, especially in the colder months as you can stay cosy by the fireplace.

    Tessa2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • I've only tried a few AirBnB's and they've all been great. This one however was by far the best. Beautifully presented throughout, immaculately clean, lots of thoughtful touches (DVD's, family games, dishwasher tablets, washing liquid, milk in the fridge, wood & coal for the fire, shower gel and bubble bath). There is a pub in very close walking distance (didn't try it) but no shops. There is a large Co-Op supermarket nearby in Sawston with a decent range. The location is very quiet, nice views, great wi-fi, big TV and all the facilities you could need. The bed was very comfortable and Hive heating system keeps the place cosy. David was extremely responsive and helpful but not at all intrusive. Even let me connect up my car for charging. I've already booked to stay again, so much better than a hotel.

The house dates from around 1750 but has been quite extensively extended and modernised. Located a few hundred metres outside the village of Ickleton, it is very well placed for the Wellcome Sanger Institute, Hinxton (2 miles), Duxford Air Museum (4 miles) or Cambridge (approx 10 miles). Tesla wall connector (32A) available for overnight car charging.
Guests are welcome to make use of our extensive garden, and tennis court. Bicycles are usually available if required (no charge).
Our house is a short distance outside the village of Ickleton, on a country road. The village has a pub, small shop and post office, plus village hall with quite a few clubs and activities going on.

It's a great spot away from the hustle bustle of the city if you want to relax. She even lent us bikes to explore the area along with tips about the place. Loved our stay and will definitely recommend.

Accommodation over two floors with open staircase up to a light and airy sitting room with vaulted ceilings and sky light windows. Off road guest parking for one car.
The front entrance door opens into a fully fitted kitchen with breakfast table. Off the kitchen is the Shower room with shower cubicle, wc and wash basin. There is also a washing machine. Good size kitchen with fridge, 4 ring gas hob, gas oven & grill, microwave, kettle and toaster. Owls loft is great for couples and small families. Central heating with guest control. Sitting room leading through to bedroom with king size bed. Flat screen TV, DVD player, radio and free wifi. The loft is fully centrally heated by stylish modern radiators throughout; both the kitchen and shower room have additional underfloor heating if required. There is a staircase out of the kitchen up to the sitting area but there is no stair gate for the smaller members of your party so you may have to improvise, adapt and overcome this. The outdoor patio is a place to sit and plan your day or to sit and drink a well earned cup of tea following your trek around the countryside. Two outdoor seating areas comprise of a patio with bistro table and two chairs, and a separate area with dining table and four chairs with use of charcoal BBQ. The local area is surrounded by lovely countryside walks and the village has all the services you require including shops for your break within walking distance.
Linton is a Conservation Village with a Heritage Walking Trail taking you past all the Thatched Houses and Listed Buildings of interest in Linton. We have two great Pub’s both serving food The Dog & Duck and The Crown Inn. Also the Linton Kitchen, a local produce shop and café on the High Street. The third Pub The Wagon and Horses has regular live music nights. Linton also has a Zoo, a Gym a Dance Studio a Cricket/Football Pitch and Children’s in door soft play and outdoor play parks. Close by is the beautiful city of Cambridge, Audley End House and Saffron Walden. The Duxford Imperial War Museum and Newmarket are within a short drive. Linton is on the cross roads of the Iknield Way long distance foot path and a Roman Road path through Wandlebury and on into Cambridge.
  • The cottage is small (ideal for two people) but tastefully decorated and very clean. It is complete with every accessory you may need. The center of Linton is small but very characteristic with typical English cottages. There are two pubs, a small cafe restaurant and supermarket. Not far from the cottage is the bus stop for Cambridge.

The apartment was clean and perfect for our overnight stay. The little added touches were lovely. The shower is great and no problems with the WIFI or Netflix. Would recommend.

  • We had a lovely stay at the Owls. The hosts were so thoughtful. When we arrived there was a fresh bread, butter and jam in the fridge plus milk for tea/coffee. Also some crisps and biscuits. You saved our lives with those provisions as we left home in the morning to get to Cambridge but were stuck in a terrible traffic so didn’t manage to stop for lunch before we were due at the church to attend my husband’s nieces wedding. The flat is very comfortable and very well furnished with all necessary kit (Nespresso machine, iron, washing machine etc) We had a great stay. Thank you!

The house is in excellent condition, the large kitchen /diner area is very impressive and overall the house was a pleasure to stay in. The host provided clear instructions for check-in. The house was warm despite visiting in darkest December. We'd definitely stay again when in the area!

  • Ron is a perfect host - friendly, generous and ready for a chat, a beer, or some local tips. The apartment was spotless, comfortable and really, really close to the IWM Duxford, which was our reason for visiting Duxford. Lovely place to stay. Thanks, Ron!

  • Ron's place was great. Comfortable, clean, cozy and a just a short cab ride to my company party at Duxford IWM. Checkin/checkout were easy and communication with Ron was always quick and helpful (even when organising to pick up the suit I'd left behind). On top of that Ron and Jacqui are very nice people.

The Old Chapel is a cosy 2 bedroom cottage converted from an 1855 Baptist Chapel. It sits well back from the quiet road in a large garden shared with the owners who live next door.
The original front door opens onto an open plan sitting room with a sofa, arm chair and double sofa-bed, TV and DVD, internet, iPod dock and radio. Off the sitting room is the dining area which seats 4 and a well stocked kitchen with hob/oven, fridge, washer/drier, microwave, kettle, toaster and coffee machine etc. Upstairs there is a large double and small single bedroom and family bathroom with bath and shower overhead, plus WC and hand basin with mirror. The double bed has a feather duvet and two pillows per person. The single has a synthetic duvet and two pillows. We provide all the linens and towels. We also have a travel cot and high chair if you need it. We also have extra folding dining chairs and crockery if you have guests. The land for the chapel was originally purchased for 10 shillings in July 1855 on behalf of “a society of Protestant Dissenters of Denomination of Particular Calvinist Baptists”. Though it hasn't been active as a place of worship for more than 40 years, there is still a handful of gravestones from the 1860s in the wood behind the chapel. These add to the charm of the place and don't in any way detract from the welcoming feeling you get when you step inside. Outside there is a small patio with table and chairs plus a barbecue in the little shed if desired. There are sun loungers and sun parasol if wanted in summer. Our chickens reside near by and are very friendly as they are free range during the day. Parking is 30 meters in front of the chapel by our house off the road. There is 25 meter lavender lined path to the house and an external light over the chapel door
The attractive and ancient village of Fulbourn is well served with several shops and pub/restaurants. It is within easy reach of the university town of Cambridge.
  • An absolutely charming cottage. Private, quiet, comfortable and a gem in every way.

  • A clean, cosy and cute little cottage. Friendly chickens.

    Ian2019-10-29T00:00:00Z
  • Peaceful and relaxing accommodation in a great location in Cambridge. It was lovely to eat breakfast whilst watching the chickens explore the grounds!

    Adam2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • Most unique chapel cottage with lots of land, garden, privacy around. So special to have fresh eggs each morning to get from behind house. The chapel itself had the unique small house layout.. separated kitchen, eating and living and then bath and two rooms upstairs- so ideal with kids and multiple guests to close a door, read while others are sleeping etc.

This is a self contained cottage annexed to our family home in a peaceful village 5 miles south of Cambridge. It consists of a double bedroom and bathroom, sitting room with double sofa bed and a small galley kitchen.
Garden cottage has its own private entrance surrounded by flowers and a small lawn. It is attached to our family home, but is completely self contained with views of the garden from every room. There is a double bedroom with 150x200cm double bed, large wardrobe and chest of drawers, small TV with freeview and radio, WiFi. The bathroom was renovated in January 2018, and has toilet, power shower, basin with illuminated vanity mirror and storage cabinet with spare toiletries. There is a galley kitchen overlooking the back garden which has a slimline dishwasher, fridge, ceramic hob, combination microwave, kettle and toaster. The sitting room has a table with four chairs and a double sofa bed 140 x 200cm.
We live in a tranquil residential area with virtually no traffic noise, just birdsong. There are 2 pubs in the village and a small shop open until 9pm. In the adjacent village of Great Shelford there are banks, post office, pharmacy, Indian and Chinese restaurants, 2 small supermarkets, a delicatessen, a wine bar and plenty of pubs. We are close to Camyoga Shelford Studio, Subway offices and Stapleford Granary so are a good base for people to stay whilst doing courses at these venues. We are close to the Imperial war museum at Duxford and regularly have guests visiting the airshows.
  • Lovely clean private space close to Cambridge great for a central base for exploring with a couple of nice pubs close by

  • We spent a weekend here and really enjoyed ourselves. The transport links into Cambridge were super easy to access and affordable to use which was great for us. The accommodation was clean, tidy and comfortable making our stay very pleasant.

  • Lovely, clean and comfortable cottage in a beautiful neighbourhood.

    Emer2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • Caroline's place is a beautiful garden cottage in a lovely village. We spent a superb long weekend relaxing, enjoying the local eating and drinking establishments and exploring Cambridge, which is just a few minutes away by train or bus. Caroline and John were lovely and generous hosts, collecting us from the railway station and loaning us bikes. There were three of us staying together but we had plenty of space as we had the use of the garden room when Caroline and John were away. Thank you so much for a lovely weekend holiday. We hope to return soon!

  • We had a fabulous 2 night stay, the accommodation was ideally located for both Cambridge and IWM Duxford. Caroline was the perfect host, very friendly but left us to our own devices which was a great combination. If you are looking for stylish, clean, well equipped accomodation in a peaceful village you won't go far wrong!

  • The barn is well situated to explore Saffron Walden and the surrounding area. The barn is very peaceful, save for the odd honk from the geese, and has everything you need. The Crown pub in the village has good food and is very friendly, you might need to book a table though. The Saturday market is SW is worth a visit as is Duxford.

  • Beautiful and relaxing surroundings, the perfect place to clear your head.

    Louise2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely house with beautiful gardens and plenty of parking. There was 4 adults 2 children and a dog and we found there was plentyof space for all of us. It was handy having the two bathrooms. The house had all the amenities you would expect and was very comfortable. We found the location good for visiting Cambridge and there were several national trusts sites nearby which we enjoyed visiting. Saffron Walden which was about 5 minutes drive had supermarkets, chemists, local shops, cafes and pubs. Friendly hosts, nice location. We would all return again if visitingthe area.

  • This is a great barn conversion in beautiful surroundings. The facilities inside are well thought out and useful. Access is along a dirt road but even with lots (and lots) of rain, my saloon car had no problems so don't be put off.
