There is a dining room with wood floor; a family room with a bay window; a small kitchen; a bathroom; and a bedroom with a queen-size bed. There's a beautiful pool within a short walking distance and a community garden on both ends of the complex.
There's plenty of various food places ranging from diners, to restaurants, to fast food. Don't worry about general stores, as Meijer and Walmart are both within 2 miles on either side. There 2 major freeways within 2 miles of the apartment, so you're not far from any destination! I do have two cats that stay with me, they're very friendly and won't do anything to you. I'll give you all the small amenities like, toilet paper, shampoo, towels, and breakfast, all included. And yes, I have of course have air and heat. You can use anything of mine that I have including, the fridge and oven, along with the microwave and dishwasher. Anything you need I can get, no problem!
I've never had a single problem here with anyone, literally. Everyone looks out for each other and this has been the most respectful community I've ever lived in. For that reason, I renewed my lease.

  • Donald is an excellent and flexible host, and a great guy to boot. I came prepared to exchange pleasantries and stay out of the way, and was pleased to find that Donald is a kind person and an excellent conversationalist. The apartment is well-kept, his cats are extremely sweet and calm, and the bed was more comfortable than my own bed back home! Any time I'm in the GB area I'll be hoping Donald's place is available, and I highly recommend him to anyone. Five star treatment!

    Joel2017-09-18T00:00:00Z
  • Donald is a friendly host along with his two cats. The location is is convenient to highway. No problem with finding a parking space.

    LaDonna2017-04-08T00:00:00Z
  • Donald was an excellent host and very accommodating. My room both extremely comfortable the bed was wonderful. This is a great value for a traveler on a budget.

  • When I travel, I only need a safe place to sleep. When I found this listing, I got exactly what I wanted: a safe place to sleep. The host is polite and friendly, and the neighborhood is really nice and I never felt concerned for my safety. This location does have friendly cats, so if cats are not your thing this will not be a good place for you to stay.

  • Don was awesome. I stayed for a whole month and boy did it go by fast. Don provided everything I needed and was flexible with scheduling. You must try his three cheese gnocchi dish! #1 airbnb host!

This is a very nice cottage-style two-level, single family home, with a finished basement in which Airbnb guests would primarily reside. Lighting is great with four windows and a slider. Many amenities are included. There's lots to do in the surrounding areas of Grand Blanc, Holly, and Flint. Detroit is just an hour south. I-75 is just a couple minutes away.
This is a fully finished and furnished basement with 1 bedroom (queen bed), walk-in closet, full bath, patio and fireplace, living space with 65 inch television and DirecTV. There is a kitchen and laundry room upstairs, which would be shared with the owners.
The neighborhood is great! This house is on a quiet cul de sac, with a fair bit of privacy in the back yard.
  • Michael was an awesome host! The house is beautiful, nice neighborhood, and private. HUGE curved tv in our quarters, very chill spot I would definitely recommend to friends. Close to town and great restaurants, and shopping. Immaculate, nice private bathroom, private entry. Couldn't have asked for anything more! Thanks again Michael!

    Laine2017-09-21T00:00:00Z
  • Michael's house is beautiful and he is a great host! He even helped toast our bagels in the morning when we were running late. Definitely recommend!

  • This place was absolutely gorgeous. It blew me away. So quiet, perfect for a little getaway. The pictures dont do it justice. Will be back in the future.

    Jessica2017-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • Peaceful place, surrounded by nature. We enjoyed taking the kayaks on the lake and cooking by camp fire.

    Hilary2017-07-04T00:00:00Z
  • This place is a total hidden gem! At least that's what our son called it when we arrived! The 20 acres are absolutely beautiful and it was so peaceful and amazing. You are close to the owners home but they are so sweet and totally let you enjoy your stay! The view is the best thing to wake up too! We have a 14 and 12 year old and they had a blast! They went fishing and took the paddle boat out and we walked all around the property through some trails it was just amazing! We will totally be coming back!! Thanks Dan and Diane for being such amazing hosts and we look forward to seeing you guys again!! :)

    AnneMarie2017-07-16T00:00:00Z
  • Camper isn't super secluded - there's a house 50 feet away and an RV maybe 200 feet away - but it was clean and ready for me when I arrived, and it worked for a night. Note that there are two beds in the camper, a queen and a king.

    Thomas2017-07-02T00:00:00Z
  • Pictures don't do it justice! The land is very pretty. Good place to relax and enjoy the outdoors. The hosts were incredibly kind & welcoming.

    Taylor2017-06-11T00:00:00Z
  • I really loved my stay at this place. The photo they use in their add is spot on. The scenery is spectacular! The camper was much larger than I expected and came fully stocked for the kitchenette. Dan met me personally and showed me around. I really appreciated that they allowed me to bring my dog; he totally enjoyed the lake! I would recommend this place to ANYBODY!

    Becky2017-05-28T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful setting. We had our camping expectations met.

  • We had a lovely time at the trailer. Everything was as described and we enjoyed kayaking and swimming in the lake, and took a number of walks around the lakes. Highly recommended for something a bit different.

  • My husband and I had never stayed in an RV and this was a wonderful first time experience for us (we're not campers). We loved the privacy. The land is well maintained - lawn, meadow, woods, two small lakes. Lots of birdlife! We enjoyed our walks, and were thankful to have our senior dog with us (lots for him to sniff!). Wonderful for a couple, and I think it would be perfect for a wedding or family reunion or such. Bring your beach chair, picnic blanket, and binoculars and enjoy! Diane and Dan are gracious hosts. We hope to be back and I will certainly recommend Oak Hill to our friends.

  • Dinae's place is beyond what I had imagined! She takesbsuch good care of the place and really wants you to enjoy it/your stay as much as they do! You cant beat this with any camp ground, as they allow you to use their kayaks, row boat, fish, swim, and hike all right there. And the graciously provide fore wood! Diane also allowed us to stay kate to enjoy the plaxe as much as possible since there were so bookings after us, so sweet!! The grounds are amazing and the camoer is so clean and cozy! I will definitely be returning for another staycation!

  • Our hosts were very kind. They met us at the drive, showed us around the property, around the motor home, left easy to follow instructions for things like the DirectTV (never used, but nice option!) and they even had snacks and bottled water available. The motor home was large, clean and comfortable. The outdoors had a nice picnic table and fire circle with plenty of chairs. Our favorite part of our stay was the fantastic land they have--we kayaked both days, used the paddle boat and caught between 30 and 40 fish on our fly rod in their private ponds. It really was a great time away from the city, enjoying the outdoors while still having the luxury of a real bed.

    Miranda2016-06-06T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at OakHill was amazing! Dan and Diane are fantastic hosts and we were well taken care of. We thoroughly enjoyed the motor home and the amenities included- but mostly we enjoyed spending a bit of time with Dan and Diane- truly lovely people! We'll be back for sure! :)

    Felicia2015-08-03T00:00:00Z
  • Great environment - they even had some wood/kindling in the fire pit for us to use. Beautiful place for walks and reading in nature. We loved it!

    Sherry2017-04-26T00:00:00Z
  • Diane welcomed us with warm hugs and a big smile. A fresh gallon of delicious drinking water was in the fridge and plenty of wood was available for the firepit. The RV was clean and roomy and the grounds were beautiful. We couldn't get the oven to work and the shower curtain sat in the bottom of the shower (which was short for my 6'2" partner). Having a fridge, stove and A/C (while it worked) at this beautiful place was *awesome*! We were bummed to leave early but it didn't make sense to pay > $100/night with no A/C.

    Shannon2017-07-08T00:00:00Z
  • Great location with amazing setting and views. Diane was great too as a host. It's an ideal location for a quick getaway from the city to get an outdoor vacation experience with all the amenities. There is good golf nearby too. We will definitely be back!

  • Pamela and Mike were amazing hosts! We had to travel to Michigan for some medical treatment for our son. Pamela and Mike went above and beyond to make us all feel welcome. The apartment was wonderful with an inviting fireplace and a full kitchen. We will probably have to travel back for some follow up visits and plan to stay with Pamela and Mike again.

  • We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this home. The hosts stayed up late to welcome us the night we arrived, showed us how everything worked, and were very responsive. The place was very comfortable and was a welcome quiet retreat from a family wedding weekend. Pam offered umbrellas the morning it was raining and reminded us of the time change so that we wouldn't be late (or early) for the wedding. I would definitely recommend this as a place to stay in the Flint MI area.

    Carole2014-11-05T00:00:00Z
  • Pamela is the best! She welcomed us, even though we arrived quite late due to our flight. And she made certain we were comfortable and had everything we needed. The suite is beautiful and incredibly spacious!

The property is absolutely breath-taking and truly an amazing spot for a romantic getaway. His cats are extremely friendly, and were another highlight of the trip.

  • We were greeted very warmly and made to feel so welcome! We just can't imagine finding anyone anywhere, that would be more kind and accommodating than these folks are. And there are no words to adequately describe the stunning views on the property, and the peaceful atmosphere was so relaxing, we didn't want to leave! We just can't say enough wonderful things about this beautiful little hideaway.

    Becca2016-08-03T00:00:00Z
  • So beautiful! The landscaping made it seem like a park or resort. So so so peaceful! the hosts are very friendly and so are the cats! Would definitely go back - and hope to do so! Have already told so many people about this wonderful place. The value is incredible! HIGHLY recommended!!

  • What a gorgeous setting! Beautiful nature, birds, trees, 2 little ponds for row boat, kayak or fishing. Woods, trails and rolling fields. I loved the cats too! Great fire pit with comfortable seating and wood supplied. Dan was a wonderful host, greeting me when I arrived and even helped me carry stuff inside. Would recommend to anyone who enjoys a peaceful, nature setting instead of generic hotel. Next time, I want to try the little camper. Overall, great B&B at a price that can't be beat. Loved it!

  • Sage's apartment was a great place to stay while in Flint. It was a completely private apartment with full amenities and a private entrance. You do have to climb a fairly steep flight of stairs to enter, which wasn't a problem for us but could be for someone with physical limitations or large suitcases.

    Megan2016-08-22T00:00:00Z
  • I had a lovely visit to Flint. I have come every year for the last five years to run the Crim and visit friends. I love being so close to downtown so I can walk in for all of the Crim events, especially since parking is so crazy during the Crim. I did have a rental car as well for traveling to friends a little farther away and I appreciated that there was convenient parking right out back. This place was exactly as advertised. It is a neat, clean, but sparse studio apartment. That is all I really need because its just my home base for showering and sleeping when I am in town. Most of the time, I am out gallivanting. Sage was very accommodating, answering all of my questions and flexible with check in - check out times. The neighbors that I met were very nice, one even offered to help me carry my luggage up the stairs. I would definitely stay again in the future.

  • All of the positive reviews made me think I was going to have a good stay at this property, and for several reasons, it ended up being very disappointing. I like pros and cons lists, so I'll do this review that way. Pros: - Price was good - Location is convenient to several city attractions - Host was friendly - Water provided in the apartment's fridge (which is kind of a necessity given that it's in Flint) - Bed was sleepable (but we didn't like the gray blanket provided) Cons: - Apartment is up a long set of steps up on the second floor. Steps to get up to this apartment are both steep and scary. One or two of the boards wiggle and were bowed to the extent that my fiance and I worried about putting our weight on them. - There was no air conditioning when we arrived at ~6 pm. There was a fan by the bed, but it didn't work. We contacted Sage about this because A/C is one of the amenities in the listing and it was very hot in the apartment. He told us there was a window unit in the basement and another fan downstairs. He said we could either set it up ourselves, or he'd do it when he arrived home at 10:30 or 11:00 pm. We thanked him and then opted to go to Sagebrush in Lake Orion for dinner and then go shopping, since it'd take a few hours and give him time to come put the window unit in. I texted him at 11:00 pm letting him know we would be back in about 30 minutes and still needed it put in. He replied at ~11:30 pm saying he'd be back in 30 minutes. We got back and the place was still so hot it was cooler to sit outside. My fiance finally caved at around 12:30 am (because we were trying to rest but somebody exploded a firework in the street that shook the house) and went to put the unit in himself, but couldn't get the screen out. At 12:50 am my fiance called Sage, this time pretty upset. Sage did not apologize, only said he was pulling in now. It was past 1 am when it was finally resolved. - The second morning, a mouse ran out from behind the stove, to under the fridge, to behind the dresser, to under our bed. We were hardly surprised at that point. - The carpet was thin, stained, and had holes in it. It did not inspire confidence in me to walk on it without shoes on. - The internet was iffy. Great when it worked, but it didn't always work. Overall, I feel like the age old adage "You get what you pay for" holds true here, and we ended up leaving a night early. We thought this property would be better than a budget motel, but ended up regretting the decision to stay here.

  • The location was great, especially being so close to the Farmers Market and Flint Institute of the Arts. It is definitely an older house but we felt safe and it was a quiet and private. We were there during the summer, so I can't speak to what it is like when classes are in session. We did meet some of the other tenants who were all cordial. Sage is flexible, welcoming and accommodating - everything you'd want in a host.

  • Sage is a great host, very prompt at responding to questions and flexible with accommodations. My apartment was neat, cozy, and quiet : )

  • Sage was a great host and always available for help. In spite of what you hear about Flint, this neighborhood is very quiet and peaceful. And the price and amenities were great. There are a number of units in the building, so there may be some variability. Ours worked great, kitchen, bath and bedroom. Stairs to our unit were a bit steep which may be a concern for some. It's clear puts time and effort into upkeep and improvements.

  • I was staying in Flint for 2 weeks in total and this place was perfect for me. Everything shown in the pictures was actually there and the Chromecast provided with the TV was an absolute delight. The apartment was clean, there was enough cutlery/plates/mugs to even have some friends over. When I arrived I noticed that sage even provided some bodywash/shampoo for the shower, including enough cleaning appliances to clean the apartment, which was definitely a nice touch. I was out and about a lot, so I wasn't home much during the day. Nevertheless Sage would message me once every few days to see how everything was going and if I needed anything. That definitely gave me the feeling that Sage really was trying to make sure that his guest were comfortable in the apartment. Even before I actually touched down in Flint, Sage offered to come and pick me up from the airport if needed. The transport was already taken care of but it was a really nice gesture. So to sum it up; the apartment was great, the host was great as well and I definitely would recommend staying here if you're passing through Flint. Thanks Sage!

  • Sage was present during our arrival and made sure we had everything we needed. The place looks just like it does in the pictures, and is easily accessible to the Flint Cultural Center as well as the freeways I-475 & I-69.

  • Allan and Dianna were wonderful hosts. I highly recommend staying with them. The location was a short walk from downtown Flint where you can enjoy many restaurants and cafes. They also provided a wine and cheese gathering where you are able to get to know the hosts. The space was beautifully decorated. A very upscale but down to earth experience.

  • Diana was waiting for me when I arrived almost two hours late and came out with an umbrella to welcome me in in the rain. It doesn't get much better than that!
