“Restaurants If you’re wanting fresh seafood Southport and Oak Island are 20 minutes away depending on traffic. Oliver’s, Fishy Fish, & American Provisions are all located on the Intercostal. Fishy Fish and Provisions provide a very festive atmosphere. Oliver’s is a classic dinning experience. If you enjoy Surf and Turf Oliver’s will Turf will melt in your mouth. I take friends just to watch their expressions at the first taste... Southport is know for its music, festivals, food, art, history, architecture, kayaking, golf, boat tours, deep sea charters. If you enjoy site seeing by foot or wheelchair be prepared for a fantastic adventure. Oak Island has a Splash Pad, Skydiving, kayaking, great beaches, fun bars, lots of restaurants, free music in the park on Friday 6:30-8:30 in the park. Lazy Turtle Bar and Grill is on the beach in Oak Island a true local experience... laid back, food ( never ate there), great drinks, music on the weekend. If you want to see a magnificent sunset while dining definitely go to Southport. Fishy Fish, American Provisions. During the summer Oak Island is known for Turtle nests and hatching on the beach. Dolphins are regulars in the ocean and Sunset Harbor. Sunset Harbor is named because of our daily magical sunsets... Enjoy! ”
