Apartment in Glasgow City
Hip, Vibrant Apartment near the University of Glasgow
This apartment is exactly where you want to be - it has everything on your doorstep from independent restaurants, coffee shops, bars, shops, supermarkets, Glasgow University and close to SSE Hydro. Also museum, parks and good transport links. Although located just off Byres Road, close by are Great Western Road and Finnieston -also ranked highly when it comes to the food and drink scene. The apartment is spacious, comfortable, clean and is on the third floor of a traditional tenement building (as it is the third floor, there are quite a few stairs to climb but worth it when you get to the top for the view across the West End). It has just been renovated to a lovingly high standard - new double glazing windows, new heating system, new flooring, new shower room with monsoon Hansgrohe shower. New fully fitted kitchen with dishwasher, washing machine, electric cooker and gas hob. The kitchen has everything you need to create a masterpiece dish, from pot and pans, Le Cruset crockery and utensils. The Master bedroom has a Super King bed (you can both lie like a starfish!), chest of drawers, bed sides, hanging rail and black out blinds. The second bedroom by default has twin beds - two singles. However, it is a 'zip and link' bed so by prior arrangement, it can be converted to a Super King bed. Also, bedsides, make up area, door hooks for clothes and black out blinds for comfort. There is additional storage in the hallway that can be used for hanging clothes. The living room has a luxouious velvet burnt orange three seater sofa and leather chairs, a Samsung 49" SMART television, coffee tables. You will spend hours just watching the bustling world go by gazing out of the large bay window. If you plan to do some work whilst staying in Glasgow, there is a desk with desk lamp and sockets and superfast wireless broadband. The entire apartment is yours! As soon as you go through the red door to the apartment, there will be two bedrooms, one kitchen diner, one lounge, one shower room and hallway with cupboard. The stairwell is also for other residents within the block. I spent my time running a very successful hotel and coffee shop and coffee roastery in the West Coast of Scotland. It will either be myself or a family member who will meet you for check-in at the apartment at a pre-arranged time. Set in the collegiate West End neighbourhood, the flat is a stone’s throw from the trendy cafes and shops along Byres Road. The University of Glasgow and Kelvingrove Parks’ Art Gallery and Museum are steps away, as are the Botanic Gardens. Hillhead Subway is a 1 minute walk away and it only take 8 minutes to get to the City Centre. There is a subway every 4 minutes. If you arrive by car, there is 'Pay & Display' street parking or a car park just across the road. There is no need to pay from 17:45 until 08:30 or at the weekends. There are two bedrooms - the Master bedroom has a Super King bed and second has two single beds. We can also set up the second bedroom to be a Super King bed instead. Please let us know in advance.

Architect's Boutique Flat
Stretch out and snuggle on the corner sofa after a wonderful day of exploring and enjoy the beautiful natural light from a classic top floor tenement bay window. Explore a more local part of the West End of the city of Glasgow with great individual eateries and shops on quiet streets leading to the Botanic Gardens and the River Kelvin. Our original artworks and books gathered over many years coupled with natural oak and stone flooring create a very restful and pleasant atmosphere for your stay..... A very clean, modern and really well fitted out re-modelling of a traditional tenement flat. A good example of a typical Glasgow home but fully modernised. It is light and bright with good open aspects and views due to being top floor and taller than the buildings around. It has a very efficient layout and an excellent kitchen space open plan to the living area. The flat is well equipped with super-fast 150mbps wi-fi, hair dryer, L'Occitane toiletries, simple breakfast items, welcome pack, travel cot, umbrellas etc and a well equipped kitchen. We also have memory foam mattresses, excellent heating and insulation plus we only use ecological cleaning products. The entire flat is accessible and there is a shared rear garden. Easy on street parking is available free of charge and it's usually possible to park right in front of the building. I am usually working abroad so we have Michelle and Annie to meet and greet guests on the ground in Glasgow and deal with their requirements. I am on hand via Airbnb messenger, phone, text and email to help with bookings and answer any specific questions or give more background on the area and things to do. We know the area well having been born in Glasgow and lived in this part of town for many years. The flat is tucked away on a quiet residential street with open aspects to the south and great local shops and eateries very nearby. The busier parts of the West End are minutes away with the Botanic Gardens and River Kelvin also offering relaxing walks and pleasant pedestrian routes deeper into the city. There is a bus stop a few meters from the flat and others with more routes within a few minutes walk. Hillhead underground is 10-15 minutes pleasant walk away offering fast access to city centre and south side of the city. Private hire taxis are not too expensive. The city centre is also walk-able and there are various enjoyable walks along the river which passes the end of the street both into and out of town. We are sure that you will love the flat, we are abroad much of the time and not able to have all our beautiful paintings, books and furniture with us but hopefully they can bring some enjoyment to your use of the flat.
