“Just 100 metres from apartment this square can be easily missed but it has a very good choice of bars and restaurants and is worth at least a look. http://www.merchantsquareglasgow.com/in-the-square”

“Just 10 minutes from the city centre, this little-known gem is the only Mackintosh designed church that was ever built. Commissioned by the Free Church in 1896 it is notable for the simplicity in its design and the stunning stained glass – Gothic in character but infused with Mackintosh spirit. From April-October, the building is open weekdays, 10-5pm. Nov-Dec & Feb-March, it’s open Monday, Wednesday & Friday, 10-4pm. Admission charges apply - Adults £4 and Conc. £2. Children Free. Entry is free on a Wednesday after 1pm.”
