Museum
“In Pyrgos village of Tinos,a small thematic museum, where the marble technology is presented.Tinos is the most important modern Greek marble center. The small but extraordinary aesthetic and contemporary concept of this Marble Craft Museum comes to highlight and depict the social and economic context in which the local marble workshops were developed, while being a small but precious jewel for the island. Visitor has the opportunity to get acquainted with the traditional techniques and procedures related to the extraction, first processing and transportation of the marble, then the shaping and placement of the construction. It tracks the entire path from raw material to complete work! Amazing”

Nature Preserve
“Located 5km south of Parikia, near the Monastery of Jesus of Woods, this valley is referred to as Petaloudes, which means Butterfly in Greek. Every year during the summer months, the valley is verdant and the Jersey Tiger Moths seem to wrap the entire valley which creates a truly breathtaking natural phenomenon.”

Beach
“Ten minutes around the bay from Parikia is what most people agree is the best beach on the island. With a crescent of white sand, pool-like waters and full waiter service, it’s a mystery why Marcello isn’t busier. The sea is so tranquil that the only thing that musters more than a ripple is the wake caused by ferries entering and leaving Parikia’s harbour in the distance. Children will have the time of their lives playing in these safe waters while parents and couples will be spellbound by the vistas over the glimmering sea, back to Parikia and its mountainous backdrop.”

“What do you do when your wife is contracted with a new job in a new town? You do what you do best! You open the best cocktail bar in the town. That's Kouchico. Honestly the best bar for chill and top quality drinks and cocktails in a nice corner of the streets of Ermoupolis. Hidden but creating a garden atmosphere that can offer entertainment for all interests. They mix the cocktails with some greek spirits too. ”

Restaurant
“Famous gourmet fish restaurant with fresh local products. Very pricey for Tinos standards, if this was in Mykonos could be ok (my own opinion!). Book your table in advance on peak season! You may wait a bit long before you are served. I don't like it personally, great location right on the sea, good food but overrated and not value for money. Arrogant staff and noisy place with children shouting and screeming . Price range 30-45€ per person.”

Museum
“Exploring the well-preserved house – Giannoulis Chalepas museum a sense is created that Giannoulis has just left from his house though it’s been more than 70 years since he “left”. His clothes hanging on the hook, his personal belongings, his bedroom, his workshop, they all carry memories of the period (1902-1930) when the famous Greek sculptor lived in Pyrgos. His mind was frequently leading him into dangerous territories; Yet, without ever managing to limit his creativity. Some of the major projects of Chalepas, sketches and photographs complement the precious material of the museum General entrance: 3 Euros, Reduced: 1,5 Euros (common for Tinian Artists Museum, Pyrgos)”

“Sta Vaporia is another spot I would suggest to go for a lunch or dinner. I mentioned lunch before, because the panorama that will unravel before you is magnificent. Their menu is interesting and the guys managing are very serious about what they serve. But in the end, anything with a view tastes great.”
