My place is close to hiking the mountains, biking trails, and other family-friendly activities. Walk to Main Street shops, restaurants, nightlife, and public transport. It is centrally located in Beacon; Tree City, USA!! . You’ll love my place because of it's comfortable convenience, hosts that make you feel like family, and a great cup of morning coffee!. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers.
  • Great location, wonderful host, and a great mattress! Thanks for the warm welcome and breakfast!

  • We had a great time staying with Patti. She is a delightful host! She was very flexible with our uncertain arrival time, and gave us lots of great tips for exploring Beacon's locavore/craft beer scene (great town!). Her place is conveniently close to downtown. The bedroom and shared spaces are all very comfortable, clean, and "homey".

    Meg2017-06-10T00:00:00Z
  • Patti was a great host! When we arrived we found an impeccable and cosy room with plenty of storage and linens and a very comfortable bed. The next morning there was a delicious breakfast waiting for us, what a treat!

  • Our stay was ideal! Patricia has a beautiful home and went out of her way to make sure we had a great stay in Beacon.

  • Very quaint and charming room within easy walking distance of the Beacon Main St! Very gracious and helpful host, Patti who offered fresh tea and coffee in the morning in beautiful Antique porcelain! Great for a quick stop in the Hudson Valley or a starting point / base for local hikes and touring.

  • Patricia's home is so pretty, comfortable, clean, and easy. Patricia is super welcoming, and her pup is a sweet dog. The room we stayed in was spacious, cute, and very comfortable. There's plenty of closet space and places to sit and relax. In the morning Patricia made us a great gourmet continental breakfast and was great talking to her. She had so many great tips and where to go and eat. Perfect host who wants to make you feel welcome, and gives you freedom to relax so you can come and go as you please. Would definitely stay again!

  • Patricia was a lovely host and a comfortable bed for a quick stop in Beacon, We were close to places to eat and shop. Thanks!!

  • Patricia's place was adorable, incredibly clean, and also in a great location (only 1 block from Main Street -- grab a breakfast pasty from Ella's Bella's one morning!). I had a great weekend in Beacon and Patricia's place was the perfect home base. Thanks for having me!

Enjoy funky Beacon at your doorstep, with everything at walking distance!
The bright Antarctica Gallery Room is in a brand new, state of the art home with a private bathroom, AC and floor heating. The queen size bamboo mattress is the right blend of firmness, softness and all around comfiness with lux linen bedsheets. The open and spacious glass shower is the perfect place for your next big idea, with hair dryer and organic soap. The room currently displays an exhibition of Antarctica by your host. We can accommodate guests with a baby with a Bassinest (0-6 months) and a small tub for bathing.
Beacon is the ideal weekend getaway. The Main street has it all, healthy restaurants, galleries, designer shops, live music and seasonal events. The best time to visit is the second Saturday of each month, when shops and galleries stay open late and host many fun activities.
  • Aga was an amazing air bnb host. The room is clean, modern, and has Agas eclectic taste throughout. The house is right off the Main Street of Beacon so we could walk to all of the cute shops and restaurants without needing the car. I'll be recommending her to all my friends/colleagues who are looking for a great place to stay. Thanks Aga and your family!!

    Michael2017-09-25T00:00:00Z
  • We could not have chosen a more convenient location, nor more welcoming hosts. The room was cozy and warm - even with Aga's beautiful photographs of Antarctica on the walls!

    Kevin2017-09-20T00:00:00Z
  • Aga's and David's place is beyond amazing! My husband, I and our 8 months old baby went there for a birthday weekend away from the City. It was everything we wished for. The location is unbeatable. It's just 15 mins walk from the train, on the Main street, which is where all the action is and very close to all the hiking trails. The room is even better than described - very bright, clean, stylish and fully renovated. Aga has a great taste and there are plenty of small details that give it a very positive vibe. Aga and David were very accommodating, friendly and flexible. They let us leave our bags because we arrived earlier than our check-in time, they gave their recommendations about where to go, what to see and where to eat. All excellent choices! Aga was helpful throughout all process. The pictures of the room don't do its justice! I would definitely recommend this place to anyone and really hope to be back one day!

    Katherine2017-09-17T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I were delighted to find the Antartica room at Aga's. The decor is very nice, the bed is very comfortable, it's impeccably clean and frankly, I wish I had as nice a bathroom at home. You can't beat the location! It's just off main street but far enough back from the traffic that our room was perfectly quiet. Aga is a very gracious host -- and a talented one. The photos of Antartica (hence the room's name) are by her.

    Cathy2017-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time at Aga's place! The location was very convenient, and Aga was very friendly and helpful, offering useful tips about the area. At the same time, she was respectful of our privacy. Great space with a great host!

    Julie2017-08-24T00:00:00Z
  • Clean house ! Really nice Neighbourhood to couple that as well. Arga was very attentive to our needs

    Rodney2017-09-19T00:00:00Z
  • Aga and her husband were extremely friendly and helpful in planning beforehand and during our trip. Their home is right off the Main Street in Beacon and we were able to walk pretty much everywhere we wanted to go (shops, restaurants, dia:beacon, the waterfront). The room itself was perfect, comfortable and cute! I would highly recommend staying here for a trip to Beacon!

    Taylor2017-09-10T00:00:00Z
  • We loved staying in the Antartica Room! The room was clean, comfy, and creatively decorated. We loved how close the room is to Main St. Thanks for a great stay!

Very private cottage located less than 2 blocks from Main Street. Walk to the train, DIA Beacon, and Main Street galleries and restaurants in minutes. entrance allows guests to come and go freely. Guests also have their own private patio area complete with Adirondack chairs.
Only a block and a half from Main Street and within easy walking distance to Metronorth, our cozy cottage makes for a perfect weekend retreat in fabulous Beacon, NY. The cottage is in our backyard, and while right in the middle of Beacon, is very private. The yard is fully fenced, and guests can come and go freely from a separate entrance. The cottage has a bathroom, kitchenette (with fridge, microwave, sink and toaster), double bed, and a twin size daybed. There is a TV/DVD but no internet access. We do not have cable, but have supplied the cottage with a nice collection of DVDs for guest use. The cottage is very light and airy, with lots of windows and a skylight. The space is best for a couple, or for a small family. It could fit 3 adults, but it would be a tight squeeze. Beacon is only an hour and a half drive north of New York City, and an easy 80 minute ride on Metronorth's Hudson Line. Beacon is a fabulous little town with excellent shopping, museums (DIA Beacon), great restaurants and coffee shops, and even our own music venues! There is also incredible hiking in the area, including Mount Beacon & Breakneck Ridge. We are also only 20 minutes from Storm King Arts Center. The train and DIA Beacon are only a 10 minute walk from our house, and Main Street is literally around the corner, making our cottage a perfect retreat for a car-less NYC getaway. For those with cars, there is ample on-street parking. The cottage is fully heated, and can be rented year-round. We do NOT currently have air conditioning, but there are two ceiling fans as well as a skylight, and lots of windows for those warmer summer days.
Walk to DIA, restaurants, coffee shops, galleries, Long Dock Park and the River Park..... It is all a stones throw from our home.
  • Rachel was a very accommodating host and the cottage was lovely. It is right around the corner from Main street and walking distance to all the restaurants and attractions in Beacon. Very pleased with the stay here.

    Tyler2015-05-10T00:00:00Z
  • This was the perfect rental for our stay in Beacon. So close to shops and restaurants yet in a quite/private backyard setting. Rachel is a great host, going out of her way to set-up a pack-and-play for our son and making sure all was set upon our arrival. We would recommend this rental to anyone!

    Aimee2014-06-07T00:00:00Z
  • The experience was awesome! Instructions were easy to follow, cottage was clean and just as described. Location allowed us easy access to all the weekend events we had. Would rent again!

    Janise2015-05-26T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely weekend in Beacon! Rachel's place was exactly as described and shown in pictures; it was just what we were looking for and we couldn't have been happier with our stay. We didn't meet Rachel but she was very responsive via email and accommodated us kindly. We highly recommend Rachel's home and would stay again without hesitation!

    Jane2015-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • Rachel's private cottage was everything we wanted and more! Everything had its purpose and there was no clutter. It was perfect for a quick weekend getaway from the city. The listing was accurate and we couldn't have wished for a more thoughtful host. The cottage was furnished with coffee, creamers, sugar, tea, shower soaps, and towels. It doesn't have AC (we knew about this from the listing) and so I would warn against days that are over 90-degrees. Other than that, the cottage stays fairly cool. The space is small, so I would only recommend it to no more than two adults and maybe one child. My friend and I had an amazing time and the cottage was perfect for us! Also, I'd like to add that Rachel and her family have a beautiful garden that surrounds the cottage - obviously not for guests to eat from, but just to enjoy. The cabbage and swiss chard were gorgeous to look at from the outdoor seating area! The property is located about a block away from one end of Main Street. There is a lot to explore and many shops and restaurants to choose from. We took a beautiful long hike on Mt. Beacon and connected to the Fishkill Trail. On our hike we saw three deer, lizards, mushrooms and plants, a waterfall and even a large, non-poisonous snake (so beware)! After a long hike, it was so nice to come back to the cottage and relax in the outdoor seating area!

    Heidi2015-07-20T00:00:00Z
  • What a delight! The place was just as listed: walkable from train and to heart of Beacon. The house was full of light and niceties. Rachel was very hospitable. It was a lovely getaway!

    Zea2015-05-02T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage was exactly as described and perfect for two people. It was clean, comfortable, and easy to find. Rachel was great about communicating with us and we knew what to expect, how to get in, and what we would find when we got there. I would stay there again and would recommend it to anyone wanting to stay in Beacon.

    Cinnie2014-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • Rachel was very accommodating as we requested the cottage in the afternoon while on the train from Grand Central to Beacon. She needed a couple hours to get it ready. No problem, grabbed dinner at Titos and then stopped at Max's for a beer before walking to the cottage. Cottage was clean, quiet, and comfortable. We were pleasantly surprised to also find a drawer with a selection of DVDs to watch.

Spacious, brand new cottage in our back yard walking distance from the train and to Main street. The cottage also functions as a photo gallery for the photographer Gil Gofer, presenting several images from his work around the world.
The cottage is brand new and has a beautiful bathroom, kitchenette (with fridge, toaster oven and a coffee maker), dining table, new queen size bed, desk area and a couch. There is internet access and a TV/DVD (no cable, but a collection of DVDs). The cottage is very bright and airy, with 2 ceiling fans and 6 windows. The cottage is best suitable for a couple, or for a couple with a baby (pack and play available upon request).
Mount beacon, Dia, coffee shops, restaurants, galleries, shops, the river all are within few minutes walk or drive.
  • Taly and Eli were extremely easy to communicate with and so sweet. The cottage was convenient and walking distance from the train, Main Street and Dia. They have amazing taste and the studio is decorated wonderfully. It was immaculate, bright, and comfortable. Highly recommended! We will definitely stay here again.

    Allison 2016-08-08T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage was a great place to stay for the weekend. Perfect location to walk and explore Beacon.

    Lauren2016-06-20T00:00:00Z
  • Eli and Taly were great to communicate with. The cottage was very nice and quiet. We stayed there while attending a graduation at Westpoint and it was close and convenient. One night we walked into the cute town where the rest of our family met us for dinner. The cottage had everything we needed. Two things you might want to be aware of: there is no closet to hang up clothes, but when I asked Taly for some hangers she brought them right away and we hung them on hooks. The other thing is the cottage is very light and bright with only sheer curtains so it wasn't very dark at night and brilliantly bright by 5:30 am. We enjoyed our stay! (much more than when we came for another graduation last year and stayed at the Ramada Inn).

    Kathy2016-05-24T00:00:00Z
  • My boyfriend and I were looking for a cozy overnight stay in Beacon, that was within walking distance from the train and hiking, and Eli and Taly's cottage was the absolute, perfect fit for the night! Hardly ever having the chance to get away from Brooklyn, without a car and on a small budget is always a challenge, and this experience was seamless. The communication before and during our stay was great! Since our stay was so short we had only the one chance to meet Eli, in his garden, the day we were leaving, and he seemed as nice in person as in his messages, and very helpful, suggesting restaurants and other shops for necessities on Main St...which by the way, is only about a 10 minute walk from the cottage. What actually surprised me was that the space needed no window a/c unit in 90 degree weather! The 2 ceiling fans in the main space kept things cool and comfortable and with the temp reaching the low 60's that evening we simply opened the windows and let the fresh air in. It was extremely cozy and quiet! The mixed vintage decor and photographs were beautiful! We also walked to Dia:Beacon museum which was about a 10 to 15 minute walk away, and stumbled upon the beautiful waterfall at Fishkill Creek at the the end of Main St. That was an incredibly sweet surprise! We both loved our visit and hope to stay again in the future for a bit longer:)

    Marisa2016-06-28T00:00:00Z
  • Eli and Taly were perfect hosts - great communicators, friendly, accessible and helpful. The cottage is a great find and an ideal space for privacy, comfort and just the right amount of decor. Highly recommend this spot, and we are very experienced AirBnB-ers

Private attached studio suite at the foot of Mount Beacon. Separate entry, luxurious queen bed, with room to relax. Can add crib if needed - just let us know! Trailhead to Mount Beacon just steps away, as well as the University Settlement Camp. More information on train, cabs and shuttles at beaconarts, and navigate to VISIT. We will allow small dogs, but sorry - no cats!
This is a beautiful and recently renovated private guest suite, with mid-century furnishings, an enormous television screen (with cable, Netflix and a huge selection of DVDs), a fantastic shower, radiant heated floors in the bathroom, a work-space, and everything you need for a pleasant and relaxed stay. We are located at the foot of Mt. Beacon, with convenient access to hiking trails, and seasonal transportation to Main Street. We are also just steps away from the University Settlement Camp.
In addition to being next to the trailhead to Mount Beacon, we are also walking distance from the University Settlement Camp, a popular venue for weddings, arts fairs, family reunions, birthday parties and other events. It is also the location for the Beacon Independent Film Festival, which takes place in September. We are also quite close to Madam Brett Park, and are on the Hudson Highlands Fjord Trail. Bob's Corner Store (a super-local deli and convenience grocery store) is located about 100 yards away on the other side of the Mount Beacon Park parking lot, if you want a quick bite or to buy a beer.
  • Beautiful place to stay - super convenient to Main Street in Beacon - and steps from the base of Mt Beacon! The room itself was perfect - everything you need and a really nice space. Kelly was a very attentive and thoughtful host - she thought of everything - from non-toxic bug spray to towels for our dog after the rain.

    Grace2017-04-20T00:00:00Z
  • We had such a great stay. We came in at night and didn't realize just how close we were staying to the actual trailhead. If your plan is to hike this spot is perfect. It's also a short drive to all the other destinations Beacon has to offer and Kelly is great to ask for recommendations. The room itself was modern, clean and comfortable. Plenty of room for 2 people and a small pup (who felt just as welcome).

    Brigitte2017-04-11T00:00:00Z
  • An outstanding studio, host and hiking and arts-filled weekend! The newly and stylishly renovated room is a nice walk from the center of Beacon, and our host Kelly was so helpful with any questions we had. We dropped our bags off at the house, took the shuttle (which stops just feet away) to the Breakneck Ridge trail head, and had a beautiful and challenging hike along the trail which ends directly next to this studio! The town is really cute and we visited on the 2nd Saturday of the month, when the art galleries host events with their artists. We cannot more highly recommend this house - we loved it!

    Bradford2017-04-09T00:00:00Z
  • This accommodation was a spacious, modern studio suite in excellent condition, with an unexpectedly large number of amenities and conveniences, including entertainment electronics, bathroom medicine-chest items, Keurig coffee cups and machine, spacious desk, fast wi-fi service, and so on. It features off-street parking just steps from its private entrance, and is just a 4-minute drive to the Dia:Beacon museum which is a major destination for the Hudson riverside town. The hosts, Kelly and Tom, were gracious and communicative, and thought of just about everything that guests might need.

    Bruce2017-05-11T00:00:00Z
  • Great apartment. We stayed for a couple nights in June. Perfect location at the base of Mt Beacon. The first day we hiked a trail up the mountain. The trail is right around the corner from the apt. So convenient! Second day we explored the town. Walking distance to everything on Main St and a short cab ride to the art museum Dia Beacon. A wonderful little getaway from the city for great value. Would book again in a heartbeat.

    Karch2017-06-09T00:00:00Z
  • Kelly's place was beautiful! The room was large and modern and she had provided us with everything we could possibly need for our stay. The amount of amenities provided were much more than we could have possibly expected. While we did not meet Kelly or her family during our stay, communication and check-in were easy. The location is right at the bottom of Mount Beacon which is great for hikers, but it is a little further from Main Street, though still walking distance. I would definitely recommend Kelly's place without hesitation!

    Laura2017-05-23T00:00:00Z
  • Tim & Kelly's spot was excellent--just steps away from Mt. Beacon, this space was about a 5-7 minute drive from most spots on Main St, but far enough away as to not be overwhelmed by the traffic to that area. Kelly was super helpful--she sent me a bunch of great information ahead of time, and convinced me to rent a car, which I wasn't planning to do, but ultimately we were so grateful for the advice, especially since we ended up taking a half-day trip to Stormking on the other side of the river! The room itself is quite spacious, it was very clean and there was ample bedding / blankets / towels, if needed. The location is quiet, even though it's somewhat close to a main road, so don't let that stop you from renting this place. They even provided filtered water, Keurig cups, and welcome chocolate! Would highly recommend for one or two people, and would definitely come back again. Thanks for a wonderful experience, Tim & Kelly!

Steps from Main St, tucked cosily in the back of our home, is our bright and cheery sun room. The room has a private entrance, private bathroom, and a private deck with garden and mountain views.
Although located two blocks from Main St, the room is very quiet and peaceful. At night you can hear crickets chirping and see the stars from the large back window, deck, or yard. The recently renovated room is situated on the first floor and attached to the back of our home. It has its own private entrance, and bathroom with a deep-soaking tub. The giant window in back affords plenty of light and you will wake up to the sun rising. The room has a mini fridge and though there's no kitchen or tv, there are many restaurants and pubs just steps away.
Our place is in the middle of everything: steps from Main Street where there are coffee shops, farm-to-table restaurants, craft beer pubs, and vintage stores. It's a 20-minute walk to the Metro North station with trains leaving nearly every hour for Grand Central Terminal (the trip takes about 90 minutes). Other places of note: 5-minute drive or 30-minute walk to Dia:Beacon museum, Mt Beacon, and the trails along the river. 10-minute drive to Breakneck Ridge. 25-minute drive to Storm King across the Hudson river.
  • We had a great stay in Larysa's very clean and cozy space! We really appreciated that Larysa held our bags when we arrived before check in and gave us a ride to Mount Beacon where we had planned to hike. Thanks again!

    Renee2016-11-13T00:00:00Z
  • This space was just as wonderful and sunlit as it looks in the photos, and Larysa was so kind! If you're looking for a nice, private space close to Main Street, this is it.

    Adam2017-06-17T00:00:00Z
  • Larysa's place is great. Wonderful location, beautiful back yard, and very comfortable. Larysa was easy to communicate with as well. Highly recommend.

    Chris2017-06-18T00:00:00Z
  • I arrived on the hottest day on May, but it was still walkable. When it's too hot to walk, taxi is $6 in everywhere in Beacon. Larysa's house was only 2 blocks away from the main street, and there were everything I needed. Larysa was so nice, and she prepared all the brochures for close attractions. Her house was so comfortable and clean. If I go to Beacon again, I'll definitely stay at her house.

    Sam2017-05-19T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful, quiet, cozy, comfortable space. Great bed and linens, we must have slept for 10 hours! Close to all in Beacon, 2 short walkable blocks to Main Street. Larysa made us feel very welcome.

    Patrick2016-11-27T00:00:00Z
  • A small space in the back of a family home. It is minimally decorated but very cute, clean, and tasteful. Larysa was very nice and the backyard was beautiful. The location was wonderful. We walked from the train station and all around town without a problem. Would definitely stay again.

    Kimberly2017-08-06T00:00:00Z
  • Larysa's sunroom is lovely, peaceful and convenient to everything you'd want to see in Beacon. She was even gracious enough to hold our bags for us when we arrived in town earlier than check-in time, and there was a bottle of sparkling water waiting for us in the room. Would happily book here again next time we visit!

    Popular homes

Flooded with light and charm, this cozy 100+ year old cottage, an easy train ride from Manhattan is on a quiet street that backs up to the golf course for endless backyard views. Renovated top to bottom by this Beacon native, the home is now quite modern yet retains its historic appeal. Located just a 5-10 minute walk to Main Street or the Beacon train depot, this sweet home is the perfect weekend getaway for a couple, girls' weekend or for groups attending local weddings and graduations.
Passing through the generous front porch, you enter the great room brimming with light from the 12 original windows and 2 French doors. An open plan kitchen affords views out to the golf course and oversized back deck, while separate dining and living areas offer several places to gather. The kitchen has ample storage and prep space with a large peninsula and breakfast bar, two undercounter refrigerator/freezers and a full size fridge with icemaker just steps away in the full basement. There is a Nespresso pod machine and milk frother for homemade lattes and cappucinos and the pantry is stocked with basic condiments and most typical kitchen cooking necessities. Upstairs are three cozy bedrooms tucked under the eaves of the half hip roof, furnished with brand new memory foam mattresses, crisp bedding and a mix of modern and antique furnishings. The sparkling new bathroom has a comfortable soaking tub and marble topped vanity. There is a full size washer and dryer in the basement (please use only the products provided to avoid chemical sensitivities), There are new heat and central AC systems (two zones; upstairs and down); the heating system is very efficient and can often be set lower than one typically might, especially upstairs. While this is not a full time home, a few of our personal belongings are kept in the house, but there are plenty of empty drawers and other storage for guests. There is one full bath. In addition, there is a tiny water closet off the living room. It was installed by the previous owner for personal needs and I have left it in place until we expand it into a proper powder room in the coming months. There is a battery operated touch light on the upper right wall as you face into the closet if you choose to use it.
The house is ideally located near the train and Main Street, but is unusually bucolic due to the golf course situated just behind the street. This is a quiet street with nice neighbors, so please be considerate when coming and going. There is plenty of parking in the drive (at least 2 cars can fit tandem) and parking is allowed on the street.
  • I had a fantastic stay at Bebe's house for the weekend with my boyfriend and a couple of friends. We took the train up for NYC and Bebe's description of the uphill walk from the train station to the house was accurate, but we had minimal bags so it was totally doable. The house was very convenient to Main Street (restaurants, shopping, activities etc), the dock for the Bannerman Castle tour, and Dia Museum - easily walkable to all. Would totally recommend staying here - great communication, easy, and welcoming home - wish I could go back every weekend!

  • The snug and cosy cottage is a classic turn of the 19th century small home, updated beautifully, with 21st century vibe and homey feel. Kitchen and bath are fully outfitted and functional, though our stay was too short to take full advantage. (We did take full advantage of the very comfortable beds.) Bebe made sure we had all the info needed on the house's systems, and was quick to reply to any questions or concerns. I’d agree that it’s not a house for small children, though if you have older, responsible children, I’d say it’s not out of the question. Just be aware that there is only one full bath; the downstairs bath is currently just a toilet in a closet, though a true half-bath makeover is in the planning stages. It's walkable to the train or Main St.; though if you aren't reasonably fit, you will become a bit out of breath on the uphills. If you need a very early breakfast before grabbing the train, it's a quick ride on I-84 E to Route 9 Fishkill, where there is a 24 hour Dunkin Donuts. If you have time for a more leisurely treat, then take advantage of the artisanal choices on Main St. instead, like Bank Square Coffee (closest) and Glazed Over Donuts. We'd definitely stay there again; it's the perfect home base for exploring Beacon.

  • This listing was absolutely gorgeous! I stayed at Bebe's home to get ready for my wedding at The Roundhouse which was only 5 minutes away. It was very conveniently located and in a safe and quiet neighborhood. The house was updated, clean and beautifully decorated. The beds were so comfortable and I felt so comfortable and well rested up until I left to get married! Bebe was very kind and easy to get in touch with and would email promptly. Beacon is an absolutely beautiful place and I look forward to returning to stay in this amazing home!

  • We loved this cottage and will be booking again! The house, on a quiet street, backs directly onto a golf course and yet downtown Beacon is less than a ten minute walk. The interiors and furnishings are brand new and primo, we especially loved the open kitchen with a large gas range and a full Nespresso setup (all things we lack at home in Brooklyn). Bebe was a stellar host; check-in/out was a breeze and, during a big storm, when we briefly lost power she was in constant communication with us and the utility company, directing us to LED lanterns and candles. This is one of the nicest Airbnb's we've ever stayed in, you seriously cannot go wrong here.

  • Nice home in a very convenient location.

    Kelly2017-08-31T00:00:00Z
  • Meticulously renovated home. Absolutely beautiful. And Comfortable, peaceful, filled with light. Great communication with host. Couldn't have asked for a nicer stay.

  • We had a wonderful time staying at Bebe's house for a long weekend in Beacon! Great home base for exploring the town--about a 20 minute walk to Dia and the metro north station, a 10 minute walk to main street, and a 30 minute walk (or 7 minute drive) to the Mt. Beacon trail head. We had a car, but you could easily get by if you just came by train, as long as you're okay walking around a bit more. Highly recommend going to the farmer's market on sunday and cooking dinner in the lovely kitchen. We definitely made use of the grill and the nespresso machine as well! Bebe was very organized and communicative, and the place was very clean. Very easy stay, no hiccups!

Peggy's has grown and moved on into her own wonderful story. Her room has a comfortable queen sized bed, lots of light and shades for the late riser. There is also a very comfortable chair with a foot stool.
Peggy's room has it's own thermostat, window air conditioner, ceiling fan and cosy chair.
My neighborhood is extremely safe. all the homes are tree lined with large parcels of land. It is a beautiful neighborhood to walk around in. There is only local traffic.
  • I did not get the chance to stay at Jane's because of a last-minute change in plans. However, she was very responsive and kind. I hope to stay in the future.

    Maria2015-07-26T00:00:00Z
  • I would give Jane a 5 star plus. The house was clean and comfortable and so relaxing. We were in Peggy Room it was fresh clean and the bed was great just like home. Jane make you feel right at home, just like you are part of her family. Jane is caring, beautiful and loving person. Her property is beautiful every morning we would have our coffee on the deck and enjoy the landscape. We had a terrific time and would go back again. Thank you Jane so much for making us welcome. • Just as described, beautiful.

  • Jane's place is beautiful, very clean, modern and comfortable. The room is lovely, with plenty of storage space for the guest's belongings, a great bed, and a nice desk that (unfortunately) not every air b&b place offers. I felt that everything in the house was of high quality and extremely well taken care of. The area is very quiet and safe, the air is really clean, and Jane has a nice big porch and a pond in front of the house. I really enjoyed my short stay as well as chatting with Jane who was very accommodating and easy to communicate with.

    Diana2016-04-03T00:00:00Z
  • AWESOME AS ALWAYS! Jane is amazing and her house is absolutely one of the most magical places ever! If you want a relaxing, gracious, inviting time, this place is a steal! Jane is the most laid back, and truly her home is yours. Do yourself a favor and book this place you WILL NOT REGRET IT!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

  • It is our 2nd time at Jane's house. Everything was perfect and definitely we will come back again. Thank you Jane!

    Natasha2016-10-08T00:00:00Z
  • Had another great stay at Jane's house! I've visited multiple times - the hosts are very friendly, welcoming and helpful. Everything is clean and easy to use. Plus, there is a nice hot tub outside. I found the location a good location near many Hudson Valley attractions and towns and would easily recommend.

Warm Friendly Home! 10 minutes from NYC train transportation. 20 minute drive to Marist/Culinary/Vassar Colleges. Walkway over the Hudson. Many historical sites Vanderbilt Mansion & FDR Museum. Quiet neighborhood. Use of kitchen , laundry room.
    Very quiet residential neighborhood.
  • This trip was great! The host and her family are all nice and friendly, the neighborhood is beautiful and the bed in the room is VERY comfy! I'd book again in a heartbeat. The small thing is the signal for T-Moblie phones is pretty low, but that's the only bad thing.

  • I have stayed at Deborah's several times and I will stay there again. I've been very impressed with the hospitality. Deborah and her family have been very welcoming and helpful.

    Marti2017-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • Deborah was very hospitable in our stay. She provided nice snacks and water and we shared good conversation. Tbe location is great and we enjoyed having our private space as the house is set-up where we enjoyed a semi-private area.

  • This is an impeccably clean, easy to find, welcoming airbnb. Great communication, private room with water, snacks and clear information about the room's amenities laid out. Family is lovely, and two dogs - Guinness and Tequila - are charming and well behaved. Perfect for my needs - was attending a concert in nearby Beacon. Would return in a flash. thank you!

    Helen2016-12-04T00:00:00Z
  • Very good communication.

    Emily2016-10-02T00:00:00Z
  • The room at Deborah's place was small but comfortable and conveniently located close to the wedding we were attending, also many tourist attractions in the area such as the FDR house and museum are close by. The bathroom is shared with Deborah's family who were all very friendly and helped us get settled in upon arrival. This was a good place to stay before and after the wedding but if we had more time we would probably look for a bigger room/more private place.

    John2016-10-11T00:00:00Z

Immaculate, cozy and quiet! Come check out all that beautiful Beacon has to offer! Nestled in the heart of the Hudson Valley, this sunny space is located a short .7 miles from the base of Mt. Beacon and a quarter mile from Main Street. Main Street has a multitude of craft beer/wine bars, restaurants, shops and art galleries. The Metro-North Train station is 3.8 miles away. Check out The Dia Art Gallery and The Two Way Brewery on your way to your Air B-N-B space from the train station.
This is a two family home. We live upstairs and the Air B-N-B space is located in a separate space downstairs. We go out of our to make sure we are extra quiet when we have guests in the house.
  • We had a nice quick (EMAIL HIDDEN)munication was great and the check-in a breeze. The apartment was very quiet and an easy 10 minute walk to the beginning of Main street. Would stay here again.

  • Lisa and Mark's place was perfect for a weekend trip! The apartment was well stock and was very clean. The check-in process was seamless and the hosts were very responsive to any inquiries we had. Would strongly recommend to anyone planning to visit Beacon!

    Danielo2017-06-25T00:00:00Z
  • Lisa and Mark made us feel so at home. We arrived to bottles of wine, Valentine's Day chocolates, tea, bars...we felt incredibly satisfied with the hosts. The place itself is cozy and just right for two people or a couple. Comfortable furniture, a beautiful nook for eating, a well equipped kitchen - it was fantastic. The location is slightly removed from downtown Beacon, which means it is walkable to downtown (15 minutes) but also pretty quiet - the best of both worlds. Walking distance to hikes. My girlfriend and I had an incredible experience and would highly recommend this AirBNB!

    Zachary2017-02-12T00:00:00Z
  • My wife and I stayed the weekend at this lovely spot. Just the right size for two and provides great access to the nearby hiking trails. For later at night, a quick 15 minute walk gets you to Main Street with plenty of bars and restaurants. If you're driving, there's parking available on the street, we had no problem finding a spot. Lisa's apartment had all the necessities and more. Really enjoyed the area and would come up again.

    Allan2016-10-02T00:00:00Z
  • Lisa & Mark were fantastic hosts who were very friendly and accommodating. They made sure I had everything I needed as soon as I checked in and were friendly to chat with whenever we saw one another. Would definitely recommend their place!

    Colby2016-09-28T00:00:00Z
  • We highly recommend staying at Lisa's place! Great location, they are good communicators and check-in/check-out is a breeze. They provided extra amenities that were a added surprise. Only possible negative would be that the bed is fairly small. But definitely still worth a stay!

    Danae2017-09-09T00:00:00Z
  • Lisa's place was convenient, clean, comfortable, and exactly as listed- Lisa was helpful and kind. Couldn't recommend their spot more for folks looking for a nice weekend getaway.

  • We had an awesome weekend at Lynn's apartment, it was super clean and cozy. Really really close to Main Street which was a plus. Thanks Lynn!

    Christine2017-07-09T00:00:00Z
  • A cozy, quiet, and convenient apartment for a night's stay in Beacon. Everything was as described and Lynn introduced herself at check in which was especially nice. The apartment is on the second floor of Lynn's home and it was a perfectly relaxing and comfortable stay.

    Jayne2017-06-18T00:00:00Z
  • Lynn's place perfectly met our needs. The space is adorable and fully equipped with anything we needed. The neighborhood is very cute and has interesting shops. There was an unexpected spike in temperature, so the second floor got a bit hot. There is a window air conditioner that worked out well. Lynn was very available to help, but we had complete privacy during our stay. If we ever return to Beacon we will book again :)

    Leanne2017-05-20T00:00:00Z
  • Good stay! Lynn was at the door and ready to let us in right away. Her house is really cute and super close to town. The second floor apartment was really adorable, and has everything you need for a short stay. The kitchen and bathroom had all the toiletries, appliances, and towels that one would need. The chairs in the living room were comfy, and we had fun watching a little bit of TV before we went our for NYE dinner and drinks! The bedroom is cozy and has a ample closet space for travelers. I prefer a little bit of a bigger bed for two, since this is a full size, but it was super comfy nonetheless. Thanks for a nice stay!

    Nicole2016-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • Lynn was a gracious host and the apartment was clean, comfortable, and had everything I needed. Would stay here next time I venture to the Hudson Valley!

  • Jane's home was awesome. Although she was away while we arrived, her sisters were great hosts - it's not usual that after saying "Hi!" you are welcome to drink wine and beer and eat pasta. Her home is in a great place where you can have a star-view in a hot tube, cold beer and on same time a deer walking by.

  • This was our first Airbnb experience but surely won't be our last. We are business travelers and seldom able to stay in one place more than a day or two but with all our business within 100 miles of this location and the comfort of this home, we where able to relax and enjoy living in a bit of luxury for five nights. Thank you Ashu and Airbnb for making this possible.

    Randy2016-10-18T00:00:00Z
  • The "welcome person" was very nice and friendly. Pictures of the house didn't go near enough to show off the size, and comfort of the house and didn't show all the rooms. It needs to. Was a great place. We didn't spend any time there during the day as we had agendas every day but could easily have stayed their and spent the day. Great house. They need to show it in their Air Bnb

Tuck away for peace in a quiet residential neighborhood located at the foot of the Mount Beacon, is our fully renovated 1966 cozy camper—a fifteen minute walk to Main st. The camper comes equipped with an electric fan during the summer months so you can stay cool in the cozy cocoon!
Located a five minute walk from Mount Beacon, spend the day hiking the Hudson Valley's famous trails or strolling along Beacon's Main Street while taking in shops, art galleries, bars, craft beer brew pubs, and restaurants. Retire for the night to the BEACON MOUNTAIN COCOON, a fully restored cozy 1966 Serro Scotty camper in all of its renovated glory, located in a quiet residential neighborhood. Pick up local meats from our nearby butcher and veggies from in-town markets, and enjoy preparing a wonderful dinner on one of our two grills. Crack open a bottle of local beer or wine and eat a delicious dinner in the Cocoon's dinette. After another look at Mount Beacon as the sun sets, you retire to the Queen ( it's the width of a queen but shorter. If you are more than 6'1" it will be tight) rear bed with quality linens equipped with extra blankets, an electric heater, and flannel sheets to ensure you stay warm. The mountain breeze will lull you to sleep in the silence broken only by the occasional owl 'hoot' or coyote howl in the distance. You awake to experience the sunrise with the finest coffee (or hot cocoa) prepared in your very own French coffee press and another day in a paradise you can't imagine is so close.
We live in a quiet residential neighborhood tucked away at the foot of the mountain.
  • Staying at the cocoon was a such a fun experience! Mike and his family were very welcoming and communicative! Would love to come back!

    Petra2016-10-04T00:00:00Z
  • Our hosts were very welcoming, despite showing up pretty sweaty from a day of hiking the trails, they made us feel right at home. I was worried the cocoon might feel a bit cramped for my wife and I but they really made great use of the space and it felt much larger than it looks. I would highly recommend it for anyone looking to spend a night in Beacon.

    Daniel2016-08-09T00:00:00Z
  • Communication with Mike made our stay really easy. We arrived a little later than expected and the lights were on in the camper so we found our way with no problems. The camper is in amazing condition. Appears to be brand new inside. We slept great, the bed and pillows are very comfortable! It's also a nice walk through a quiet neighborhood to main st. We would definitely stay again. Thanks!

  • Mike and Zoraida were wonderful hosts. They were very accommodating and gave great recommendations for the area. We got to meet their VERY cute little boy, Marcel, and felt completely welcomed throughout our stay. The camper itself was exactly as expected, an endearing, small and efficient space that made for a fun and unique experience. Its' proximity to hiking trails and down town couldn't be beat! We plan to stay in this little camper again next time we venture to Beacon!

    Madison2017-06-23T00:00:00Z
  • Mike's place was super rad! He and Zoraida were very welcoming and even gave us some tips on local spots and how best to get around. The camper was really cool and very unique! It was very clean and had the necessary amenities. The bathroom and shower were well-kept and easily accessible. The fire pit was great on a chilly night, can't wait to go back!!

  • The beacon mountain cocoon was an adorable little place to spend a night. We were there just stopping over to sleep during a road trip. The hosts clearly take great care of the rv and have added a lot of nice details like curtains and keeping within the blue color scheme. I didn't get a chance to meet Mike and his family since I came in one evening while they were out and left very early the next morning, but he was completely available by text and made our arrival smooth and easy. Really appreciated staying!

Private, newly renovated ground floor in a single family house, located right by DIA Beacon and within a short walk to Metro North Train Station, Main Street galleries and restaurants. There are two bedrooms, a full bathroom, and a spacious family room with a dining station and direct access to backyard.
I offer the entire ground floor (900 sq ft) with a private entrance and direct access to backyard. Both bedrooms have basic furnishings, queen size beds and closets to put away belongings. There's a spacious family room with a full size sofa-bed, work/study desk, dining table, mini-fridge and basic kitchen utensils. The bathroom has a new shower and an access to laundry. The place is best for a family, couple or a small group of travelers but you can also enjoy it all to yourself.
The train and DIA Beacon are only a short walk from my house, making it a perfect retreat for a car-less getaway. By staying here you'll avoid the hustle of Main Street, yet you're walking distance from all the galleries and restaurants. For those who enjoy the outdoors, Denning's Point offers beautiful hiking trails through the woods to stunning views of the Hudson River within a few minutes' walk. Scenic Hudson's Long Dock Park and Madam Bret Park are also wonderful additions to my neighborhood. If you're lucky you may spot wildlife in the backyard - deer, rabbits, and groundhogs make frequent appearances. And keep an eye out for the blue jays, cardinals, woodpeckers, and red-tailed hawks that live near by.
  • Eva took amazing care of us when we missed our train back to New York and we had to find a place last minute. Her space is beautiful and perfect down to the last detail, and her hospitality saved our spirits at the end of a string of misadventures!

    Chris2017-09-05T00:00:00Z
  • Eva’s home was immaculately cleaned and the decor is beautiful. It was easy to communicate with her as well. We appreciated all the little touches; leaving us fruits and a fire starter kit to make s’mores in the backyard. Her home is also about a 3 minute drive to Main Street making it quite convenient to frequent restaurants and shops.

    Savitrie2017-09-24T00:00:00Z
  • Eva's place was all one could hope for - a clean, inviting space spanning the first floor of a house not far from the Beacon Main St. area. Eva went out of her way to make sure we felt comfortable and at home - the various teas, coffee, and fruits were a nice touch! Three friends and I stayed in the two bedrooms and found everything to our liking. 5/5!

  • Eva's home is beautiful and she's a kind and gracious host. She really went above and beyond what I would ever expect and more than any host I've stayed with before (I've used AirBnB a lot). The house is extremely well located for Dia Beacon and Storm King. The downstairs apartment is private and spacious. Eva's personality is present in the decor which gives it a super homey and earthy feel. The fire pit was an added bonus as was seeing all the deer that roam around her garden and surrounding area. It's quiet and has everything you could want in terms of amenities. The bed was super soft, the whole place was immaculately clean. Easy to find etc. If you're considering booking then really I couldn't recommend it higher.

    Gavin2017-09-25T00:00:00Z
  • Eva's place was charming and comfortable. I'd highly recommend it if you're looking for a place centrally located in Beacon (steps from Dia and a short 20min walk to Main Street and the mountain trailhead). She's an incredibly thoughtful host, and I appreciated everything she did. From picking us up at the train station, to recommending restaurants and local events going on. Could have easily stayed for days. Thank you Eva!

    Jane2017-09-17T00:00:00Z
  • Eva is a positive and energetic hostess who exceeds expectations. She was communicative before and during our stay, and passionate about making our time in Beacon wonderful. We went up by train, and Eva happened to be around and did not mind dropping us off/picking up around Beacon each day. The house is spacious, clean and light with new fixtures and fittings. Both beds were comfortable. One is firm and the other softer with a memory foam (I'm guessing) pillow top. There were plenty of towels and guest toiletries. The bathroom boasts a walk-in shower and a washer and dryer in the closet. Coffee, French press, milks and water were provided as well as a fruit basket and crackers. The kitchen upstairs was well appointed. The garden is spacious with a fire pit and seating and a dining table and chairs on the decking. We saw half a dozen deer in the yard during our stay. The lawn is kept short and neat. Other nice touches are Eva's art - a mosaic that is hard to stop gazing at, woven hanging baskets (and window sills) filled with plants, and wall hangings. Our 3 year old son loved Eva, and the house. He hasn't stopped talking about our time staying at this property.

A Victorian built around the turn of the century, this house is now our home, with plenty of space for guests. For the last two years we've been busy returning it to its former Victorian glory, and adding some beautiful modern touches. At one time a bustling boarding house, it has welcomed many through its doors. Please come join us for a night or two. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do!
We've recently remodeled the house which once housed an old dentist's office, and the room for rent is the old surgery room! But don't worry, the vintage walnut bedroom set, hardwood floors and antique nicknacks give a feeling of serenity and calm. The room also has its own Victorian porch overlooking the front yard, surrounded by mountain laurel, dogwood and linden trees. The newly remodeled full bathroom is private to the guest area, and is only shared if we have another guest visiting.
We are one block away from Main street Beacon with the lovely cafes, galleries and bars. Beacon is rich in dining options, all in walking distance from the house. Please have a look at our Guidebook for specific recommendations. The great hiking trails of Mt Beacon are a short walk away, Fishkill creek waterfall just down the hill, and of course DIA Beacon is a must visit with its fabulous permanent collection.
  • This was probably my favorite AirBnB room yet. Comfy, plenty of room for the 2 of us, and we loved the private porch. The communication with Jessica was clear, prompt, and gracious. The room is a little set apart from the main living area, which is nice in terms of privacy, but close to the kitchen, which Jessica was happy to let me use to make sandwiches. We will be back!

    Julie2017-08-13T00:00:00Z
  • This was a great room with great hosts! They had everything we needed ready and waiting for us, and we really appreciated the tea selection!

  • I had a wonderful stay. Thanks very much, Jessica!

    Sibylle2017-06-04T00:00:00Z
  • Jessica was a lovely host and we enjoyed our stay in her unique and cheerful home! Location of the house was perfect and I enjoyed the bedroom full of curiosities. Should we return to Beacon we'll definitely stay here again.

    Chelsea2017-01-29T00:00:00Z
  • We loved everything about this house and their host. Our beds were really comfortable and we felt very welcome. Jessica also had the low down on all the good spots to go to. five star perfection

    Claudia2017-04-22T00:00:00Z
  • we arrived earlier than expected but were made very welcome...the room wasn't quite ready...our fault...but Jessica and jason provided us with heaps of info as to where to wander and nibble in the town and some options for dinner later...very welcome advice. All ready when we returned. The room was comfortable and the bed excellent. Lots of quirky curios decorating the room. Tea and coffee available just outside our door. The room and the house are very quiet at night...bliss after a noisy few nights in NY! Highlights included chatting to J and J ( and Charlie the baby vampire ) about theatre and the town of Beacon. Its always nicer we find to spend time in an airbnb when the hosts live there too. The town is cute and the morning walk up Mt Beacon in the morning was...bracing!...check with J and J for pleasant routes.

  • We had a lovely time staying over at Jessica's place. She was super understanding and flexible with our arrangements, which we really appreciated. Jessica and her family were very warm and friendly, and the room was nice and had everything we needed. Beacon is an adorable town and we were very excited to have a chance to appreciate it!

This beautiful historic home is close to The Metro North train. You’ll love my place because this is one of the oldest pre-revolutionary homesteads in Dutchess County. Known as the "Kip House", (named after it's builder and original owner 1953) this stone home was once utilized by notables Baron Von Steuben, George Washington and Count Pulaski. This comfortable but elegant country estate is nestled on 50 acres with two ponds. The barn has been fully renovated to its period charm..Come and enjoy
  • This is a beautiful and very special house and Chris is a gracious host. It was a privilege to stay there.

    Laurie2017-08-28T00:00:00Z
  • Chris was a lovely, warm, and welcoming host--I would highly recommend staying here if you find yourself in the area! My friend and I were here to check out the Storm King art center, and it barely took 10 minutes to get to Chris's house. The home is absolutely lovely--it's an old, historic house built in 1753, and it has such a wonderful, quaint charm, almost a cottage-feel to it that will make you feel right at home. Our schedule getting to Fishkill was a bit behind, but in communicating with Chris clearly, Chris was incredibly flexible, so we were able to arrive later than we anticipated (thank you for your flexibility, Chris!)! The room is on the upper floor and is very private, the bathroom and amenities were wonderful (Chris was able to provide a travel toothbrush /toothpaste kit for my friend who forgot his toothbrush, thank you!), and the room was also very lovely and cozy. The history of the house is incredible, and I would suggest checking it out if you can. All in all, a wonderful stay, I would come back again! Thank you Chris!

    Michelle2017-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • The Kip house is an amazing property of significant historical interest and furnished in an appropriate and comfortable style. The house offers a lovely back yard and patio and is convenient to Beacon and Fishkill. Bedroom and bathroom facilities are excellent, though I found the strong smell of mothballs throughout the house wearing. I had serious problems with host communication but hopefully these were not typical, or will be improved in future.

    Ardal2017-09-18T00:00:00Z
  • Comfortable room, courteous host.. will definitely stay again! Convenient to Beacon town center. Beautiful rural setting.. quiet and serene..

    Philip2017-08-13T00:00:00Z
  • Chris is a wonderful, inviting, warm, and generous host. The house is beautiful, historic, and set in a forest-like setting. Chris is doing an amazing job re-creating a colonial era feel for the home. The room has gorgeous views, and everthing you need. The bed is a waterbed, as advertised, just keep that in mind as sleeping becomes a ride! Highly recommended to stay with Chris, especially if you're heading upstate to visit Storm King, Dia:Beacon, or Chapel of Sacred Mirrors. So many wonderful things to explore!

    Guy2017-09-10T00:00:00Z
  • Ask questions and interact. I learned quite a lot of history about the house.

    Kibrom 2017-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • Chris maintains a beautiful home. She is a lovely host and very knowledgeable about the historical aspects of the property. We would stay there again in a heartbeat! Some things to know; the mailbox with the house number is across the street from the house, and the driveway is set off to the right of the house. This makes it a little confusing to locate the house when it is dark and rainy!

Welcome to the Villa Belvedere! We are located in the beautiful Hudson Valley region. The Belvedere is in the hills of Beacon New York, just at the base of Fishkill Ridge hiking trails. The home is a lovely old Dutch colonial on a tranquil setting where peace and serenity abounds. Relax and unwind from a mountain hike, or just come up from the hustle and bustle of the city to rejuvenate your spirit. Have your morning coffee on the porch or in the gardens by a palm tree, and then swing on the hammock and feel the stress just leaving your body. There are many places to see and explore! To start, hiking is abundant!!. Fishkill Ridge is down the road in walking distance of the house, Mt Beacon is 1 mile away, and Breakneck Ridge is 6 miles away.... all offer awesome hiking! The most difficult is Breakneck Ridge, then Mt Beacon, then Fishkill Ridge. Right here in the town of Beacon you have your local art galleries, DIA museum, coffee cafes, waterfalls off of restaurants, Thai cuisine, Italian cuisine, breweries, and many others to choose from. For anyone that doesn't have transportation there is a local taxi service right here in town. The metro-north stop is Beacon, the one before it is Cold Spring. When available, and if available pick up can be arranged!
This a a quiet place to just really unwind from a hike instead of running back to the city, or walking the town of Beacon. We are a mile away from main street a little off the beating path.
  • Staying at the Villa Belvedere was a perfect retreat for our weekend away from NYC in Beacon, NY. Ben's charming and cozy home was in a great location that was close to Main St., but far enough out that we felt like we were in the woods, which was exactly what we were hoping for! Ben was so kind as to pick us up at the train station when we arrived, along with our bikes and luggage. He was very communicable, warm, and friendly, and also had great baked goods and coffee to share with us. The space itself was great and very comfortable for our stay. We felt that we had enough privacy, and everything was very clean and lovely. We especially loved the little breakfast nook overlooking the backyard. We would absolutely recommend this beautiful retreat for anyone visiting Beacon! If you are bringing bikes, be aware that it is a hilly ride from Ben's house to downtown, but we really liked being out in the woods and the bike ride to and from is very beautiful, so it was definitely worth a little extra muscle to get home each night. Thank you, Ben!

  • The property is beautiful and the room was clean, cozy and comfortable with a private bathroom. Ben was a wonderful host and I will definitely be back.

  • Ben's place was a great place for us to relax and explore Beacon. The room was comfortable and the hammock in the back yard was a nice bonus. We really enjoyed chatting with Ben too. He's a great host and we felt at home. Would go back again!

  • Ben was an amazing host with a beautiful and welcoming home. As a single traveler, he made me feel very comfortable and even gave me a quick tour of the town on my way out. I wouldn't hesitate to come back! It was just what I needed for a relaxing stay out of the city.

8 minute walk to Main Street (many restaurants, cafes, galleries, etc) 7 minute walk to Mt Beacon TrailHead. Cozy space set up for a couple (or solo traveler) looking for a relaxing escape from "The Real World". A couple days here really feels likes so much longer!
Originally a bakery built in the late 1800's adjacent to the "main house", on a large corner property. This space has been recently lovingly renovated by me, keeping lots of original rustic charm and details, with many modern updates and conveniences added. You have your own beautiful little private yard. There's a gently babbling stream, table/chairs, herbs and flowers, with Mt Beacon a few blocks away. After booking, you'll have access to the "House Manual"; there is so much useful info in there! Since I personally have always dreamed of living in a hotel, my goal has been to make this place have all the things that are appealing about a luxury hotel: super clean, freshly laundered linens, tons of upscale & modern amenities, safe, uncluttered, beautifully decorated. All this while also having the added bonuses of being very private, very unique, in a quiet neighborhood, lots of character, a fully-functioning and stocked-with-basics kitchen, a beautiful yard and comfortable cozy spaces to enjoy. It's a small place, but certainly more spacious than a hotel room and SO much better! There are two floors. 1st floor is the open living room/kitchen with a 1/2 bath. There is a stairway open at the bottom leading to the 2nd floor with bedroom and full bathroom. Luxurious spa-like bathroom: Large glass shower with Steamist generator to turn it into a steam sauna, with rain shower head and body sprayers. There's a reclaimed wood bench to comfortably lounge while you take a steam. Relax in what might be the deepest soaking tub ever, with heavenly water jets and epsom salts for a therapeutic bath. Chill out in plush super-soft cotton shawl bathrobes (always freshly laundered). Enjoy lounging just outside your bedroom on the small balcony overlooking the yard and serene neighborhood. Brooklyn Bedding mattress with luxury linens and lots of pillows. A true "Chef's Kitchen" (I have a restaurant in Brooklyn) with everything you may need to enjoy some meals in your own private getaway (don't miss going out too for the great food and restaurants in Beacon and the area.) There will be basic pantry stuff (organic coffee, olive oil, salt, spices, many condiments, etc.) available for you to use freely (Usually some fruit/veg/milk, etc). I always stock the fridge with seltzer and filtered water for your stay. There's an awesome Viking range with convection oven and powerful exhaust fan. A Vitamix (frozen fruit in freezer for smoothies), drip coffee machine, espresso machine, dishwasher, etc. etc. There is a gas grill for cooking outside; walk 6 minutes to Barb's Butchery and check out the amazing local selections you can cook up for yourself. Roku TV's in bedroom and living room/kitchen. Not suitable for children under 13. Off-street parking.
Quiet and beautiful neighborhood, but basically in the middle of all the local "action": walk less than 10 min to Mt Beacon to hike, then later walk less than 10 minutes in the other direction for the Main Street attractions.
  • Dan coordinated my check in and check out from afar, but he could not have been more accessible and responsive, so everything went smoothly. His place is a short walk to Beacon's Main Street. My stay there was private, quiet and relaxing. His place is really beautiful--a blend of original, preserved architecture and rustic / country decor with modern amenities, fixtures (kitchen, bathroom) and art. For a place its size, the kitchen and shower / steam room are massive--making for an ideal getaway from my tiny NYC apartment. To boot, there was a fully decked out Christmas tree and a bottle of wine to greet us. Dan is a pro. Most highly recommended.

    Chris2016-12-26T00:00:00Z
  • I just can't quit Dan's place! Yet another relaxing stay at in beautiful home. Can't wait for the next time:)

    Kate2017-04-07T00:00:00Z
  • Staying at Dan's was even more incredible than I could have imagined. When I first arrived, I was greeted with a beautiful bottle of wine, freshly picked pears and mint from the garden and just the overall most welcoming vibe. The house is beautifully decorated and there is something interesting to look at in every single nook of the house. I really enjoyed spending nights in the garden, after having cooked dinner in the beautiful kitchen. Dan is an amazing host and made the house feel like my second home... I am definitely coming back here again - cannot wait !!!

    Jesper2017-09-14T00:00:00Z
  • We had such a great stay! Absolutely loved the jacuzzi tub, steam shower, and then the private outdoor porch to cool off. The kitchen was well stocked with lots of guilty pleasures. We went up from Grand Central without a car, and were able to get around Beacon on foot fairly well.

    Alison2016-12-11T00:00:00Z
  • If you are looking for a high-end, comfortable and quiet apartment that is easily accessible to the train, Main Street and hiking, this is the place. Every detail in the apartment is thoughtful - the finishes are equal to a luxury hotel and the design aesthetic is perfect for the location. I set out to cook with local ingredients - the grocery store is within walking distance and the kitchen is fully stocked with all the little ingredients you need to make something great. I believe this part of Beacon is better to stay in than the Main Street area, across the water. You gain better access to the trail and miss none of the activity in town. The walk to Main Street is less than 8 minutes away. The neighborhood has street lights, making it very easy to walk home after dark. Also, this is the perfect location to pick up the trail for hiking. Within minutes you can be starting the ascent up Mt. Beacon. Dan is a top notch host! The house instructions were very clear and easy to follow. We messaged about arrival and departure times and he responded immediately to confirm details and answer a last minute question. And then there is the autumn foliage.... also not to be missed!

    Katherine 2016-10-26T00:00:00Z
  • We loved staying at Dan's beautiful home! It's a great weekend getaway. It's a quick walk to downtown and the spa bathroom is a great amenity. Dan is a fantastic host and we hope to go back soon!

  • My boyfriend and I decided to get out of the city last minute, and on a tip from a friend we looked into Beacon NY. Dan was an exceptional host with a lovely home. The home is wonderfully comfortable and upscale all at once and was the perfect size for two of us. A bottle of wine was waiting for us and there is a printout of the house manual explaining everything we needed to know. I highly recommend staying at this location. It's a ten minute walk to Beacon's main street and a ten minute drive to Breakneck Ridge. The bathroom amenities (deep tub and steam shower) are incredible. Thanks Dan!

    William2017-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • Dan was the perfect host! This was one of my all-time favorite Airbnbs, and I cannot say enough great things about it... but I'll try! It's in the perfect location - we took the train in so didn't have a car, and it's super walkable to Main St. (full of cute restaurants and shops), DIA:Beacon, a local brewery, etc. Walk a few minutes in the other direction, and you'll be ready to hike Mt. Beacon! (I'm not an experienced hiker by any means and had a blast making it to the fire tower. Worth it for the views alone!) Dan's entire place is so carefully thought out - incredible bathroom with luxurious amenities (that Steamist shower is my new favorite thing), amazing kitchen, beautiful private porch, and gorgeous backyard complete with a relaxing babbling stream. I was sad to leave! Dan was incredibly responsive, and communication was super fast and easy from the start. This was the best weekend getaway I could have asked for, and I hope we'll have the opportunity to return soon. Would give 10 stars if I could! Thanks so much, Dan!

Short 10 to 15 min. drive to picturesque village of Cold Spring and train station, Dia Museum and galleries in Beacon, and more. One or two adults (with one child okay).

  • Wonderful place, perfect to come down,, especially with the lake, very clean and nice small apartment! We hope to be able to come back!

  • This place is really special. The house is nestled away in the woods, by a lake, a short drive from the Cold Spring train station. Helmut is a great host and a very cool dude. He gave me a lift to and from the station and made me feel right at home. Highlights from my stay include waking up to a cacophony of birds chirping and the sounds of wind blowing through the trees, fishing out fresh eggs from the chicken coop, and receiving a visit from the family dachshund, Milo. It was the perfect place to relax and write. The bed's super comfortable and there's a full kitchen in the space with a coffee maker and a toaster. I was so satisfied with my stay that I tried to book it again for next weekend, but it's taken! I can't wait to go back.

    Minerva2017-04-30T00:00:00Z
  • The room was very comfortable and amenable, comfortable bed, tiled shower, sweet little kitchen setup--but the best part was the setting for relaxation: the lake, the patio, rocky surrounds and drive down the dirt road to the space was beyond my expectations. Sleeping at night with the sounds of nature through the screen door was divine.

    Heather2017-09-10T00:00:00Z
  • What a wonderful find!! The room was great and had everything you could need. True to the ad, the water was just a short walk away. Neighborhood is very cozy and quiet with many great sights to see! The private entrance made it feel like we had a whole home to ourself. Helmut was very friendly and helped get us situated for our stay. Thank you so much!

    Madie2016-12-10T00:00:00Z
  • Quiet clean and relaxing, perfect to be surrounded by nature. 10 out of 10, as simple as that. Thank you Helmut!

    Pepa2017-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • This place exceeded my expectations. The bed was comfortable, and the apartment had its own shower and mini-kitchen. Helmut was a great host. You can tell that he puts in the effort to make his guests feel at ease and have a stress- free stay. The kitchen had the basics- beverages (coffee, tea, milk etc), some cookware, plates, and utensils. The bathroom came with towels, shampoo and body wash. The instructions provided were easy to follow and the host is quick to respond to questions.

    Dianne2017-05-28T00:00:00Z
  • Helmuts place is just perfect for getting away from the city. We enjoyed the quiet and peacful night in his clean and cosy little place. Recommended highly!!!

  • My sister and I stayed at Helmut's place for a night. It was as listed - quaint, cozy, and just the right size for us. We appreciated having a small kitchen and enjoyed making breakfast thanks to the fresh eggs Helmut left for us in the fridge. Communication with Helmut was great! We hope to return to explore more of the area.

    Country Charm
    4 reviews
A beautiful view of Mt. Beacon in a quiet tree cradled home. A healing oasis for you with the enticements of the town and surrounding country so close. Beacon is a walk or bike ride away-about a half mile. New addition! 2 bikes available onsite for $10 a day!
Welcome weary wonderful travelers to The Slumbering Bumble Bee, named after one of the delights found in my garden. There are other treasures to find as you cross the portal onto the land where my home resides. Come and enjoy my home and find a healing arts environment full of warmth, charm, and it's own magical quirkiness. I'm a eco, gluten, holistic conscious woman who loves the idea of being a reverse gypsy. Instead of hopping about, I travel as I meet wonderful people from all over. You might find you enjoy one of my herbal concoctions I make or the sound of the quiet nature filled night or the easy walk or bike ride to Beacon. Then there is always my very loving love loaf of a cat, Willow, who may beguile you. Chapel of the Sacred Mirrors (COSM) is 15 minutes as well. We are also only 30 minutes from Storm King Arts Center. It is quiet with lovely geese honking, birds chirping, crickets in the summer nights chirping. Walking distance from main street Beacon and now 2 bikes available onsite for rental for $10 per day or $15 for the whole weekend if you need.
My home is a bit set apart from town. So for those looking for quiet but the excitement of town still quite close, this is the perfect spot. It is also a place to soak up healing vibes. The trees surrounding the oasis create a lovely set apart feeling. My herbal teas are extraordinary.
  • My husband and I stayed with Nada for one night when we came up to Beacon from Brooklyn. Her peaceful home was very welcoming. We really appreciated the space heater in the guest room, the helpful pamphlets telling us about local attractions, and the tea, which warmed us up after a walk through the beautiful, tree-lined streets. Nada's cats were so cute, too! We arrived fairly late, and Nada helped us find a place to grab some dinner in town (we recommend The Hop, which has a great selection of beers and hearty food). For breakfast, we checked out Ella's Bellas, a gluten-free place on Main Street with amazing flourless donuts. We would definitely stay with Nada again, and recommend grabbing a cab from the Metro-North station, as it's a fairly long (and uphill!) walk from the train station. The fare would be $6-$7.

  • Nada was an excellent host. I booked late into the day and she was very accommodating. Upon arrival she made me feel at home and prepared a pot of tea. Nada's house is cosy and eclectic. The bed is a comfortable and in a quiet room. The shared bathroom is spacious and has a generously-sized shower. I didn't use the house as a base for exploring Beacon, so can't comment on its proximity to amenities. However I can say that it's in a quiet residential neighborhood with a pleasant garden surrounding.

    Joshua2014-10-01T00:00:00Z
  • Nada's house is on the quiet spot near the baseball field and running track which far from The main street around 10-15 min. Honestly, At first I hesitated about the location because it look far but actually its just easy walk and it give you a chance to discover this charming town. Her house is just like it in the private garden with the big tree. The room is clean, comfy and cozy which Nada also provide us some organic product which I really impressed. I highly recommend to stay with Nada. Her house is must visit if nature is your lifestyle.

    Korapin2015-06-05T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed a great overnight at Nada's home. She is a very gracious host and her home is so inviting and comfortable!

    Cathleen 2015-04-26T00:00:00Z
  • Nada's home is very cozy and comfortable. I enquired about staying at hers the same day as my arrival (last-minute weekend trip!), and she responded very quickly. Communication to make arrangements about arrival times, etc., was very easy. Nada is a kind, peace-loving and wonderful host, welcoming us to her home and offering suggestions of restaurants/cafes in the neighborhood. She also prepared delicious & freshly baked gluten free pumpkin bread and tea for breakfast the next morning. We also adore her friendly cat Willow and will be sure to visit again.

    Serena2015-11-15T00:00:00Z
  • Nada and her family were very gracious and flexible with our travel plans. We changed arrival times and were accommodated with no issues. The house is very cozy and clean, and her cat might as well be Pusheen. He was very friendly.

    Joseph2015-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • Great room, amazing views. Beautiful garden to have breakfast in the morning. Nada was pretty nice with us. It was an amazing weekend !

    Luciana2016-11-06T00:00:00Z
  • It is a small, cozy and warm house. The bed is a very comfortable bed for two. The shared bathroom is right next to the guest bedroom, which is convenient. Nada and her boyfriend are very friendly and professional hosts.

A recently remodeled Victorian built around the turn of the century, this house is now our home, with plenty of space for guests. For the last two years we have been busy returning it to its former Victorian glory. At one time a bustling boarding house, it has welcomed many through its doors. Please come join us for a night or two. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do!
We've recently remodeled the house which once housed an old dentist's office, and the room for rent is the old waiting room! The wood paneled walls and antique fixtures and furniture give your get-away that country/Twin Peaks/hunting lodge flair. The room has a private half-bath (toilet & sink) for privacy, as well as a shared shower.
  • I had a very pleasant stay! Wonderful location. Comfortable, private room. And excellent communications with the hosts. Nothing comes to mind for improvement. I'd be glad to return! Thanks.

    Adam2015-07-26T00:00:00Z
  • The room was perfect. Its a comfy little nook inside a huge, airy and quirky home (which is inside a huge, airy and quirky town, for that matter). My boyfriend and I had a wonderful stay. Jessica and her family were around the whole time and made sure we were comfortable and had enough to do in the area. The house is situated right off the Main St shopping and dining area, and a short walk from all the other attractions and necessities. We had no problem walking from the train station, or to Dia:Beacon, or the mountain trails. Each walk would take about 20 mins to a half hour, not that you would be counting with all that surrounds you! We did try and take a local cab service to the station the last day when we realized we were running late, but it was impossible to get one (and they were quite rude on the phone when we asked). Even the guy at the cafe we were at told us that the cabs in Beacon are totally unreliable and few and far between. So if you dont have a car, or cant walk around a hilly area, I would keep that in mind. Otherwise, our stay was PERFECT. Highly recommend!

    Emily2015-08-27T00:00:00Z
  • My girlfriend and I stayed here for a night while on a brief trip for our anniversary. Jessica and the rest of the family were great hosts, giving clear directions and making us feel right at home. The room is as-advertised and, as you can guess from the photo, feels quirky and welcoming. The house itself is a short walk to main street and was perfect for our whirlwind tour of Beacon. Would recommend to any person or couple coming to town for a brief stay.

    Chris2015-07-03T00:00:00Z
  • The house is super convenient to everything in downtown Beacon. We found that while you could walk to it from the train station getting a cab was much easier. Friendly, warm and gracious hosts they even went out of their way to help us find information about cabs and recommended little gems such as Ellas Bellas.

    Alexa2015-10-11T00:00:00Z
  • This charming and authentic house gave us exactly what we wanted in Beacon (not a generic room which could be anywhere!) sitting a minutes walk off Main Street, the room is just as it looks in the photos but a bit larger, and very comfortable. Jess was a fantastic host with responsive communication prior to our stay and once we arrived very friendly and welcoming - without being too much! We'd definitely recommend.

    Richard2017-09-17T00:00:00Z
  • I had a great stay at Jessica's and Jason's. Sweet genuine people that have designed the guestroom with great taste. Very hospitable and true old-style Airbnb accommodation where you can still chat with each other over a glass wine. Thanks for a wonderful experience.

    Chee Yee2017-09-09T00:00:00Z
  • We spent 2 nights in this lovely home and enjoyed the company of it's wonderful hosts. The location is within a few blocks walking distance of the Roundhouse, the river, the waterfall and Main St. with it's many stores and restaurants. The guest room is very comfortable and quiet, it can also be made very dark with heavy drapes.

    Ingrid2015-07-05T00:00:00Z
  • This space was neat- in an old dentist office with some quirks. Also a great location near main street. I was looking for a one-night stay very last minute and Jessica was very quick to respond; much appreciated!

  • Close to Main Street shops and restaurants. Friendly host who gave us great restaurant recommendations and cute tidy house with a friendly cat and Labrador.

  • Stefanie was great! Very welcoming with friendly pets :) A short walk from the beautiful waterfall in Beacon, and about a mile walk down Main St to get the the train. Thanks again!

    Shane2017-04-23T00:00:00Z
  • Stefanie's apartment is perfectly located, walkable to all the good stuff in Beacon but also on a quiet street with a view of the mountains. The bed is so comfortable! And Stefanie is lovely and a wonderful hostess!

    jen2017-05-13T00:00:00Z
  • Stefanie's place was centrally located to Beacon's Main Street for easy access to restaurants and shops. The space was cozy and had a lovely seating area with a view of the town. Stefanie was helpful and pointed us to places to eat and what to see. We had a great stay in Beacon!

    Kathy2017-04-16T00:00:00Z
  • Stefanie's was an attentive and helpful host. We had the third floor to ourselves, and the space was charming and sweet.

    Jackie2017-04-02T00:00:00Z
  • Stefanie was a terrific host and the space is clean, comfortable, and welcoming. Walking distance from Beacon's Main Street. And a short 15 min walk to the trails. Stefanie provided us with great recommendations in Beacon. Also enjoyed meeting her friendly pets, Sajak, Baby-cat, and Milos. As friendly as their owner.

    Andrew2017-06-11T00:00:00Z
  • We had a fantastic stay at Stefanie's place in Beacon! The space is a private third floor bedroom and living room (well decorated and very comfortable) with a shared master bathroom and other living spaces. Stefanie was a very gracious host. She curated a great list of recommendations for things to do and places to eat & drink in Beacon, communicated very clearly so that check in was a breeze, and kindly offered us coffee in the mornings. She has three animal cohosts, two friendly cats and a senior dog, so this space is probably best for animal lovers. One of the best parts about Stephanie's place is its location. For two of us coming in from NYC on the train, her house is a 30 min walk from the train station and easily walkable both to all the great restaurants, shops, and breweries on Main Street (~5 min) and to the Mt. Beacon trailhead for a refreshing hike (~20 min). Overall, Beacon is a great town to visit and Stefanie made our weekend even more enjoyable. Thanks!

  • I stayed one night here, and it was a very pleasant experience overall. Alyson was very nice and helpful with things like restaurant suggestions, activity ideas, and directions. The space is great - interesting, clean, and full of warmth. It was a little cold out so I didn't spend much time outside, but I did go out briefly and I enjoyed the koi pond and the atmosphere.

    David2015-04-24T00:00:00Z
  • My partner and I traveled 5 hours from Maine to NY for our 4 day stay in Wappinger's Falls. Alyson's home was exactly as she had pictured and described. Quiet, private, immaculately clean and thoughtfully decorated. The pond out back was our favorite place to rest and relax, and to drink cup after cup of delicious coffee and tea! The room was clean and cozy and we both slept wonderfully in the full-sized bed. The bathroom was stocked with fresh fluffy towels, and there was no problem sharing it with the other guests. Alyson generously offered fruits, muffins, bars, and hot drinks every morning! She was darling, fun, and had MANY fantastic and spot-on recommendations for area activities and must-sees. We wanted to chat with her for hours! The surrounding towns had many great things to offer: Mt Beacon was a beautiful and easy hike, downtown Beacon had many a shop and gallery, a few interesting abandoned railroad related building to explore, everyone was friendly, and we really enjoyed dining at Homespun, Raddish, and Poppy's (locally sourced salads, sandwiches, burgers, soup, etc). Alex and Allyson Grey's Chapel of Sacred Mirrors was our main attraction, and that lived up to and beyond our grandest hopes. My partner and I are grateful to Alyson for opening her special and exquisite home, and we spent a good portion of our drive back to Maine dreaming up reasons to come back as soon as possible. Thank you for making a birthday weekend so delightful, Alyson!

  • Things I will remember: Waking up and watching the impossibly tall bamboo waving with the wind. Jess' generous and attentive hosting. A house full of art and interesting objects. A really nice visit and so close to the main street and Beacon's charm.

    Mike2015-09-14T00:00:00Z
  • Staying at Jessica's house was great! We had a couple of last-minute changes (# of guests, arrival time) and Jessica was very flexible. The bed was comfortable and the apartment was clean and cozy. She clearly cares a lot about creating a comfortable experience for her guests! Thanks, Jessica!

    Eyal2014-08-15T00:00:00Z
  • Jessica is very lovely and accommodating. She let us check in early and late, and the room was very lovely, with plenty of space, AC and ceiling fan, and a comfortable futon. There's also a lovely backyard, living room, and dining room you have access to. Breakfast is make your own, but she provides basic ingredients. Her place isn't super close to the train - about a 15-20 minute walk. But it's right in the middle of town with cute bars, restaurants, and shops nearby, and about a mile from the train head to Mt. Beacon, and about the same distance to Dia Beacon. Overall had a lovely time, and would definitely consider Jessica's place in the future.

    Von2014-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • My girlfriend and I visited Beacon, NY over the weekend for her birthday. Jessica made us feel very welcome and we absolutely loved our stay. She even made my girlfriend and I a birthday breakfast, complete with an amazing homemade dessert. We were really impressed with our stay here and will definitely try to stay with Jessica when we eventually return. The town is perfect for a weekend getaway from NYC - it's right off metro north. Jessica's home is about a 15-20 minute walk. It's in a really great location. There are some great coffee and brunch spots as well as boutiques, wine shops, and a distillery that's worth checking out. Beacon also has a good arts scene with Dia and other galleries. We hiked up Mt. Beacon and recommend that as well. If you're headed to Beacon, you should definitely stay with Jessica.

    Noah2016-08-29T00:00:00Z
  • I had one of the best experiences staying at Noreen's place. If you are considering , I highly recommend that you book a night or two here. The host is just wonderful and the house and accommodations were perfect. The area is very close to the village only ten minutes away by taxi and you are right into town on Main Street ready to go shopping or have an amazing dinner at one of the charming restaurants. The place was immaculate and very warm and inviting as well. The pug ( Cinnamon ) was also adorable and welcoming. I truly felt at home here. Hope to be back again soon. Thanks again for your hospitality!

  • Property was exactly as described. Beautifully located in a quiet area with a manmade lake, dog park and trails. I did not meet Noreen in person, but she was responsive and considerate. She let me check in earlier than expected and left me some snacks in the morning. Would definitely come back.

  • We had a wonderful stay at Noreen's house. The room was accurately described. It was clean, beautifully appointed and very private and comfortable.

    phoebe2016-04-05T00:00:00Z
  • Noreen's place is as close to perfect as you'll get: modern, contemporary home in a more recently built development, extremely clean and organized, fast check in with getting in on my own (late), and very comfortable, larger than normal bedroom with a sitting area on the other side of the room that is well appreciated for reading or making phone calls. Nice touches around the house with interesting artwork and a creative eye for detail. Parked right in the driveway. Slept really well because it's quiet.

Jane's Room gives the feeling of being outdoors in this lovely home setback off the street in a space surrounded by trees. The large comfy Queen sized bed faces the widows with a wonderful view of the outdoor world. This room has a private half bath.
Jane's room has a private door to the deck. It also has a TV. There are room darkening shades, window air conditioner, thermostat, ceiling fan and a private 1/2 bath.
My neighborhood is extremely safe. All the homes are tree lined with large parcels of land. It is a beautiful neighborhood to walk around in. There is only local traffic.

  • I had a wonderful time at Jane's home. She really made me feel like part of the family going out of her way to make me feel at home. She's a very kind and giving person. Her house is super clean and organize. I would book her rooms again anytime in a heart beat.

    Manuel2015-10-30T00:00:00Z
  • Jane's Airbnb is perfect for my purposes. It's clean, well-kept, comfortable, quiet, welcoming and centrally located for what I need to do in the area. The only negative is that I'm very busy when there, so do not get to hang out and relax at the house a bit more!

    Bill2016-07-05T00:00:00Z
  • As always, it's pleasure to stay at Jane's and talk with Aunt Kate.

  • The house and room were wonderful. Very clean, warm and welcoming. The location of the house is easy to find. I would recommend Janes room without any reservations. Beautiful place.

  • We felt very welcome and at home in Jane's home. The house has everything you need and is in a beautiful setting. Jane was very helpful and very easy to communicate with. We would love to visit again.

    Jennifer2016-11-06T00:00:00Z
  • There is so much to love about Jane's home! We loved the outdoor deck with plenty of seating for a meal en plein air overlooking the small lake. We loved the hot tub for relaxing after a long hike and for star gazing. We loved the big shared kitchen and beautifully appointed bathroom. Our room was very comfortable with lots of windows out to the lake. It was dreamy seeing the view in the morning. While you do need a car for hopewell junction, the location is great--we drove from Hudson and passed so many great farm stands on the way and there were many great hiking trails nearby. We would have loved to stay longer. Jane is a very special host--she is energetic and enthusiastic in welcoming guests to share her beautiful home and we enjoyed meeting her as well as the other guests staying there.

  • Great host and great room. Everything was just as expected. Very comfortable bed and the house is nice and secluded. I didn't use the hot tub.
