Farmington Vacation Rentals

Just booked in Farmington

Relax in this one bedroom condo nestled in a natural wooded setting at Nemacolin Woodlands Resort. Just steps away from restaurants, swimming, skiing, golfing, casino and more. The condo features one bedroom with queen size bed, a large newly remodeled bathroom, family room with a queen sleeper sofa and a flat screen TV. The eating area sits four people comfortably and the kitchenette features a refrigerator and microwave. Washer and dryer also included along with free WIFI.
  • Good place to stay if you want to make use of resort amenities like pool, golf, kids activities, restaurants etc. Close to Fallingwater (book ahead) and Ohiopyle State Park. The apartment itself is comfortable and well-suited to a couple, might be a squeeze with more than two people. We loved sitting on the back porch which looks out into the woods. Only downside was the noise of footsteps and voices from the apartment upstairs. Elizabeth was very communicative and left a few restaurant recommendations, and we really enjoyed Bittersweet Cafe.

  • Loved our stay. It was secluded enough to enjoy the sounds of nature while we were relaxing at the condo but close enough to activities and sights that we had lots to do. I would definitely choose to stay there again.

    Patricia2017-06-23T00:00:00Z
  • The condo apartment was clean, comfortable and conveniently located inside the Nemacolin property. Elizabeth was quick with her communications and helped make the check-in / check-out process really easy. There were a couple of resort activities we did during our stay, and it was nice to come back to the apartment afterwards, before stepping out again for dinner. We loved the farm-to-table Autumn restaurant and the laid-back Paradise pools in particular. We didn't use the resort shuttle much, but for those wanting to, the shuttle service is efficient. Overall, it was a wonderful, memorable stay for us.

  • Elizabeth's place is cozy and beautiful. Loved the back porch looking into the woods. It's was wonderful to be on the property of Nemacolin but just a walk away from the Lodge and Chatteau. and to have access to everything on the resort. Nemacolin is a wonderful place to visit. We'll be back and would love to stay here again! Thanks for everything!

    Simcha2017-07-14T00:00:00Z
  • Great property. Would stay here again if passing through. Thanks Elizabeth!

Relax and unwind in this beautiful mountain condo nestled in the natural wooded setting at Nemacolin Woodlands Resort. A great place to get away... the resort features many amenities with something for every age. After a day of exploring, relax on the large deck listening to the babbling brook and the sounds of nature. This condo has a fully equipped kitchen and/or room service is available from the resort .
  • An exceptional value at a top-notch resort. The condo is small but very comfortable - perfect for a couple. There's a glorious, relaxing back deck, and it was so nice to have a kitchen instead of having to eat out for every meal. Basic kitchen, bathroom, and cleaning supplies are provided. We had easy access to all the Nemacolin facilities by shuttle or car. Other than not being able to charge things to our room, we were treated as full and welcome resort guests. One note: we could not get cell service at the condo, so make sure you download the entry code and the wifi code to your phone before you arrive.

  • Barbara's condo was delightful! My best friend and I stayed the night for a little girls getaway and this was perfect. It's in a more private part of the Nemacolin resort so it was quiet and lovely, but the shuttle was just a phone call away to get to the main resort area. It was great that we could use the gym facilities there too! Would absolutely stay again - the condo was well-equipped, clean and very comfortable for the 2 of us.

    Lisa2017-09-10T00:00:00Z
  • This property is on the grounds of Nemacolin resort. Shuttle pick up a short distance away. Modest walk to main building of the resort. Clean, comfortable with a wonderful deck to spend time on.

  • I had an overnight stay in this cozy one-bedroom condo. Very comfortable bed and recliners! Barbara is instantly responsive and very easy to communicate with. I was very happy to find this place, set right on the grounds of the Nemacolin Resort!

    Diana2017-07-23T00:00:00Z
  • Great spot at a great location. You could spend a month just getting to know the area. You won't go wrong with this AirBnB. Safe travels!

    Dylan2017-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely place, great location! Very very easy and overall great experience

    Abby2017-09-17T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay and perfect for couples. The only issue we had is we couldn't get into the main pool at the spa but once we found the pool located near our place it was great. We would stay hear again for sure.

    Todd2017-07-30T00:00:00Z
  • Barbara was easy to work with, and stayed in communication with me. Easy to get into the unit, and allowed for a late check-out so i could enjoy the Nemacolin pool before getting back on the road. I didn't have any cell phone service (Verizon), but there is wifi available in the unit. Nice to have the kitchen, and the place was cozy. Cute deck in the back, dining room table, living room, and king size bed was comfortable. Plenty of space in the bathroom, and over-sized shower. Would recommend staying here.

  • The house was immaculate. Very clean and very cozy. Convenient and close to all resort amenities, yet super private as well. We biked in Ohiopyle, lounged at resort pool, dined at resort, frequented cigar bar, walked the grounds, even visited the zoo animals late at night! Added plus to have the option to cook in or dine out . Hosts were in close contact and readily available . Nothing I would do different except extend the visit! Thank you so much Lydia and Shannon for a memorable weekend experience!!!

    Cynthia 2017-08-29T00:00:00Z
  • We had an awesome experience at Barbara's condo. The condo was exactly as listed. Barbara was so friendly and helpful throughout the process and made us feel very welcome. Nemacolin Resort is a great place to visit and her condo is very close to all of the activities/amenities the resort has to offer. I would definitely recommend staying here!

    Lauren2016-04-09T00:00:00Z
  • I was there for a family wedding weekend, and so got to hear about the experiences of others, some stayed in other townhouses, some off property, and I feel very lucky to have found this unit in Laurel Ponds. It is just lovely and it is clear that Barbara has put thought and effort into anticipating the little things someone might want or need. From cute and quirky to luxurious there are many nice touches that add a smile to one's day. I felt all the luckier when I heard others complain of a musty unit (in the Maples) or a very spartan unit off property (they were told to bring toilet paper!) This unit was all I could have hoped for and more than I expected.

    Valerie2016-10-03T00:00:00Z
  • Cheaper than staying at the lodge. Shuttle service was great. Condo was very clean, Barbara is very nice and accommodating. Close to casino. Excellent service at casino. Lautrec brunch was wonderful. Wish we could have used the facilities at resort. Save your hair appointment or nail appointment if you want to use the pool at resort, though. That's the only way.

    Brent2017-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • Barbara's place is cozy and amidst the beautiful confines of Nemacolin Woodlands. Convenient, fun, and and as described.

    Ron2016-12-31T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I have loved going to Nemacolin as a quick getaway from the city. We have always chosen to stay off property so that we can afford to partake in the amenities that the resort has to offer (restaurants, spa/massages, etc). This year, we found Barbara's place and it was perfect! It is nestled right in the heart of the property but secluded enough to enjoy some peacefulness from any of the other guests. The best part: it was affordable! Also, we would absolutely rent from Barbara in the future. She was wonderful with communicating and providing any necessary information about the property and best spots to enjoy!

    Kayla2017-07-03T00:00:00Z
  • Cozy 1BR condo on grounds of all-season resort. We went to Nemacolin Woodlands for a romantic weekend getaway. Barbara was a great host - very helpful with information on the surrounding area, directions to the resort, how to get around the resort etc. There is a lot to do on the resort. However, if you want to stay put, the cabin has lovely views of the woods and feels secluded and cozy. We had a lovely time and were very happy with our stay.

  • Me and my friends had a great time at the Maples in Nemacolin. The condo provided plenty of space and beds for all of us, and was super convenient location with 24 hr shuttle to resort. Beautiful spot and would definitely stay here again!

  • We had a great time. Everything was as described. The condo was nice and clean, although slightly dated. We enjoyed our stay, and would recommend this to our friends.

  • The house was as advertised. We had a great time enjoying the surrounding area. I would certainly recommend this house to those that will be enjoyed the laurel highlands area.

  • Thanks! 2nd year in a row we have stayed here in Nema Colin. Had a great time as everything was clean, perfect location and quiet. Shuttle takes you anywhere you need to go and very prompt. Easy check in and check out and communication with the owner.

    Todd2017-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • The host was a lovely elderly woman. But 3 main issues: 1. Dirty, mildewy carpets with mold from water leaks 2. Cluttered 3. Needs a good, deep cleaning everywhere

    Natalie2017-08-15T00:00:00Z
  • Beware...If you are thinking of saving money at Nemacolin and staying at this location, beware! After specifically inquiring from Evolve Vacation Rental (BEFORE we booked) specifically about access to the resort pool and receiving confirmation in writing that we would have access, we learned on our first day at the property that we would NOT have access to the resort pool. This was incredibly disappointing and upsetting. If Evolve had given us accurate information we would have never booked this location. Also beware...the smell, dirty carpets and worn out bed linen and bed mattresses makes this place unbearable to stay in.

    Farah2017-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • Location a major plus ( right in Nemicolin). Only complaint is water turns cold after one shower.

    Marc2017-03-26T00:00:00Z
  • We met Kathy, the owner and local contact, a couple days into our trip, and she was pleasant. She replied fairly promptly to my phone message the first morning of our stay, inquiring about the lack of hot water, but couldn't do much more than say it might get better with time. The insufficient hot water for guests seems like a material issue that should have been addressed more honestly in the listing. Also, the clothes dryer dried our clothes, but is ungodly loud. On the positive side, the condo is in a great location.

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay here and can’t wait to return! The location is perfect as well, close to a winery, distillery, restaurants and Ohiopyle. David is a great host and was very helpful. Thanks again Jason

  • Cute little spot

    Riley2017-09-04T00:00:00Z
  • The host was very helpful and available in terms of answering questions prior to and during the stay. The stay was very affordable and close (approx. 5-7 min. drive) to Nemacolin Woodlands Resort. The accommodations were appropriate for a short weekend stay.

    Jacob2016-07-11T00:00:00Z
  • Overall the place was good. The bathroom toilet did not leak like past reviews said. The fire pit was great. If you enjoy being out in nature alone this is the place to be. There is no internet or cable which made it difficult to find things to do in the area. The place was very clean, the host was helpful and easy to get a hold of. I found the place to be very relaxing.

  • If you want to be in the middle of nowhere, with not even an antenna television, or don't like hot showers this is the place to go. The toilet started leaking and flooded the master bedroom carpet.

  • This hostel was an amazing value for the money. We had a small private bunk bed room, but the star of the show was the common space. There was a large open kitchen/living room area that had a sink, fridge, washer/drier, a large dining table, TV, and couches to hang out on. And there was indoor bike storage in the common area too! Our hosts were very friendly and helpful too. It's a perfect place to stay for folks biking through on the GAP trail.

  • The cottage was lovely. Well appointed and cozy, it was the perfect get away that we needed. The grounds are verdant and tranquil and the hosts provide so much, from information on restaurants and points of interest, to a fully equipped outdoor kitchen. I would highly recommend this cottage, and I will stay here next time I'm in town.

  • If you're looking for a cozy little cottage for a nice relaxing and quiet getaway then look no further. It feels like home while being secluded but minutes away from attractions and any style restaurant you could want. Beth is extremely hospitable and wants you to have a great time as much as you do.

    Adam2017-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage is a lovely getaway in the Laurel Highlands area of Western Pennsylvania. The living space itself is clean, upscale, and so very comfortable. We didn't do any cooking, but the beautiful kitchen is fully stocked beyond belief. We did, however, use the saltwater hot tub, which was wonderful. The owner was responsive and completely flexible when our arrival got pushed back (ie-we were running late). It was a perfect weekend and I highly recommend Beth's cottage!

    Patrick2017-03-26T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I had a great minivacation here! Beth and Ron's place is perfect in every way. They have really thought of all the details. Even though it snowed a few inches while we were visiting in April, we took advantage of the fireplace and plentiful blankets that they generously stocked for us. They even let us borrow their car scraper since we forgot ours. Great hosts! Their place is clean, beautifully decorated, and just delightful. We will be coming back!

    Laura2017-04-08T00:00:00Z
  • Wow. This place was absolutely amazing. My wife and I were blown away with the beauty of this place and the pictures do not do the cottage justice. Beth and Ron were amazing hosts and so very accommodating. We will definitely be back to this beautiful cottage!

    John2017-10-01T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay was excellent and was better than I could have expected. All amenities were very clean and up to date. I would definitely recommend the cottage to anyone staying in the Ohiopyle area.

    Mark2016-10-23T00:00:00Z
  • This place is every bit as cute and cozy as advertised! It's quiet and peaceful, and a quick drive away from grocery stores, restaurants, etc. The hot tub and LED fireplace were fantastic on the chilly evenings during our March mini-moon at the cottage. Absolutely perfect if you're looking to get away from it all.

Heart of Ohiopyle Vacation House is clean, charming, and quite. Located in the town of Ohiopyle and within walking distance to the Youghiogheny River, GAP bike trail, Ohiopyle Falls, resturants, bars, and shops.
There are only a handful of rental homes located within the town of Ohiopyle. We love this house because you don't have to drive back and forth to out of town lodging. Your group can be together but doing the separate activities that they enjoy. Everyone can meet up by foot for a hike, picnic, or swim in the river. Grandma and Grandpa will love being in the mix without having to drive back and forth for each activity. Our Grandparents sure do! The House has two upstairs bedrooms. One has a Queen bed and a fold away twin bed. The second bedroom has a Queen on the bottom bunk bed. We allow up to 4 additional guests to find floor/couch space to crash for a max total of 10 (additional $15 per head after 6 per night). Heart of Ohiopyle Vacation House is located IN Ohiopyle. Easy access to the Great Allegheny Passage Bike Trail, Youghiogheny River, Ohiopyle Waterfall, Falls Market Resturant, and miles of hiking/biking trails. It is located less than five miles from Frank Lloyd Wright's Fallingwater and Kentuck Knob. Nemacolin Woodlands Resort and Casino is just up the road. This home has the ideal location for anyone wanting to experience all that Ohiopyle has to offer. The property is surrounded on two sides by state park forest. Enjoy a campfire and roast some marshmallows in our outdoor fire pit.
This house is at the end of a dead end street. Its kind of like a mullet. Party in the front (downtown Ohiopyle) and Country in the back (20,000 acres of state park forest out the back door).
  • If you know Ohiopyle, the in-town lodging choices are very limited. Having once spent a couple of miserable nights at the local "hotel", I was thrilled to find Erin's place, ideally located a couple of minute walk from the bike trail. The house is cute, cozy and comfortable. Erin was very responsive, despite being in Asia at the time, coordinating our request to extend an extra day (we didn't want to leave!) We will definitely return.

    Jerry2017-09-14T00:00:00Z
  • Very clean. Good for larger groups. Erin was great to work with.

    Jim2016-07-23T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful experience during our stay at Heart of Ohiopyle vacation house. Erin could not have been any more helpful, offering to answer any questions about the area. The house was perfect, quaint, cozy, extremely clean, and ideally located. It was close enough to town ( 5 minute walk) but still tucked away enough to feel a sense of privacy. We would return without question!

    Mike2015-06-10T00:00:00Z
  • Erin was super responsive to a slight problem I had with communicating about checking in. Great host. Will definitely stay agan

  • We had a group of 5 and had plenty of room. We really enjoyed our overnight stay in Ohiopyle.

    Pamela2015-05-24T00:00:00Z
  • Erin was very flexible and easy to work with. Communication was excellent while making arrangements. Her house is a great place to stay if you're traveling to Ohiopyle. It's literally the last house on the last street. It's as secluded as you can get in this small town. Pro-tip: the thermostats on the walls only control the heat. We learned that the hard way on a very hot summer day! Window mounted AC units cool the house effectively.

    Chuck2016-07-25T00:00:00Z
  • The house was exactly as stated in the description- a clean, cozy place just a few minutes walk from the river and town of Ohiopyle. There is a big yard that is perfect for a picnic and outdoor games. We had a lovely stay and would highly recommend staying at at Erin's house!

    Maddie2017-06-04T00:00:00Z
  • Erin, our host, was very easy to communicate with and her replies were prompt and kind. The house is very tidy and the kitchen was supplied with all the utensils we needed to cook our breakfast. The beds were comfortable and the couches were great for the kids. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely look into staying again.

  • Shanda and Keith are exceptional hosts in a lovely home in an ideal location for anyone visiting the delights of the Southern Laurel Highlands. Their attention to comfort, fabulous breakfasts and comprehensive information made my 3-day stay a delight. The warmth of their welcome made me feel a member of the family within minutes. I give their offering my highest recommendation.

  • Such gracious hosts! This was a great first AirBNB experience. Lovely room, comfortable bed and great conversations! Every detail has been well thought out, and clearly communicated. I can happily recommend Shanda's place!

    Peggy2017-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • Shanda was amazingly understanding. We never met as communication was delayed.. And she waited up very late to greet us.. Only to get a midnight email saying we never got the AirBnB message.

    Joyce2016-05-03T00:00:00Z
  • This airbnb was our first and what a great one it was. It was a great value and exactly what we needed and then some. My friend and I each had our own cozy room that had a very comfy bed! We also had toiletries and other items you might need. We were also greeted by a very friendly cat. Shanda and Keith were also so kind to make breakfast for us in the morning! Again, what a great stay!!

    Matthew2017-07-14T00:00:00Z
  • Good place to stay near FallingWater. Shanda and her husband Keith are friendly hosts and do their utmost to give you everything (advice, drinks, breakfast) that you want. The village Hopwood itself has no attractions, but close by FL Wright built two villas. And in the neigbourhood there are places for rafting and skiing.

Riverside retreat with fieldstone fireplace, outdoor firepit, expansive deck, and lawns, borders Ohiopyle State Park, next to GAP bicycle trail, close to hiking, rafting, Fallingwater, skiing, historic sites all in the midst of the Laurel Highlands. We have three rooms available for B&B stays, 2 with ensuite private bath, and one with adjacent private bath. Includes wifi and a full hot breakfast. We've got thirteen acres for you to explore, and a half mile of river frontage. Come stay with us!
We are on the banks of the Youghiogheny river with 15 acres of lawns and riverfront property and riverside trails. You'll have a deck overlooking the river. Your room will have river views, a queen bed and a private bath. The house, and your room, is filled with original, one of a kind art from all areas of the county, including paintings, prints, ceramics, furniture and lighting. Your stay includes free wifi and a full, hot breakfast.
Paddler's Lane does have cell service. Verizon has a tower and very good reception and AT&T has a tower which will be operational in fall of 2014. Other carriers generally have decent reception via the Verizon tower. Confluence is a very small town, about 400 people, so it doesn’t have big town amenities. It does have a gas station, car repair garage, bank, post office, cycle shop, river outfitter, grocery store, pharmacy, vegetable market, day spa, hardware store, churches, a dollar general and other small town amenities.  It has several restaurants and cafés. If you visit during the off season several of these dining establishments will have limited hours or will be closed so during this time you may want to consider going farther afield or opt for the more limited selection in town. All in all you should be able to get any of the basics that you need here. If you find yourself in need of anything of a more exotic nature Somerset is approximately 35 minutes away on 281 North and Uniontown is reached in half an hour or so by taking 281 South to 40 West .   Typical of many of the world’s rivers, the Youghiogheny is joined for much of its length by a set of train tracks. The train is a part of life on the river and should be thought of as such. It should not hinder your enjoyment of your surroundings. Our guests don't feel that the trains are detrimental to their overall experience. (A significant number of them join us because they are intrigued by the train!) We think that you will agree.   We are located on a very rural private road. The constant drone of traffic or the roar of semis blowing by which is endemic for most locations will not be a part of your day. Instead you will have the constant movement of the river in your back yard, the rooster voicing his wake-up call, the whistle and rumble of a passing train, and the wind finding its way through the trees. In the summer months humming birds add to the noise and the drone of cicadas is often a companion during the later summer months. Some of the amenities that you will find in the house are these: central heat and air conditioning, a fully equipped kitchen, and a dishwasher. All of your linens and towels are supplied. Free Wi-fi is included. Board games are stored in the entertainment center. You will also find a large fieldstone fireplace, and in addition, there is a fire pit located behind each house and another beside the river.  You will also have expansive decks and an outdoor grill (Don’t forget to bring your charcoal!) and plenty of room for parking and gear storage
  • Great location, river was relaxing and a great place to relax and enjoy the surroundings... Awesome breakfast with an easy going hosts. I would return, no problem..

  • Perfect weekend getaway. Dan was a great host, leaving a note at the front door for us and checking in on us as soon as he noticed we had arrived, and preparing a delicious breakfast in the morning. Beautifully situated near the river and surrounded by nature.... and that damn train! The available earplugs were much appreciated at night. Over all a highly recommended place. Thanks Dan!

  • Oh, what a most delightful discovery! Robin and Don's place is simply beautiful. The guest house is on acreage of lawns running down to the river with gorgeous gardens all around. The train line runs along the property but I didn't notice it at all. My room was beautifully furnished and being the only guest, I had full use of a most wonderfully charming house. Don cooks a tasty brekky and most knowledgeable with tips about local attractions. Paddlers Lane is a short drive to Fallingwater, Kentuckknob and Duncan House. You'll love staying at Robin and Don's

    Gen2017-05-12T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful two days with Dan. His hospitality is second to none. Hospitality is certainly part of taking time off, and we got more than we thought we would. We just returned from a wonderful weekend, and we are truly grateful for it. Want a few days off the daily "noise" in a BEAUTIFUL place with great host?! This is exactly where you should go. The place has 3 (I think) equipped bedrooms and you can either rent one or all 3. The entire cabin is located on a river. To say that we LOVED it is an understatment. Lastly, Robin & Dan are into some amazing pottery, we could not resist it and we purchased some mugs and dishes. They are very beautiful and well crafted. I will see if I can post a picture or two.

  • This B & B is an absolute hidden treasure. The facility's and grounds are immaculate. The breakfast was amazing. The area has it all, fishing - trout/small mouth bass. 3 rivers, a beautiful lake, swimming, biking, hiking. It is in the center of it all. The amenities are great, the owners are great. Robin and Dan are very gracious hosts. I would very much recommend this B & B.

Tranquil ambiance of mountain retreat in heart of 5 star resort..access to almost all resort amenities w/o resort prices! Perfect for family fun or intimate retreat! Beautifully appointed and complete but oh so warm & inviting! Two story with bedroom & bath on each floor.
If you prefer the tranquil ambiance of a mountain retreat, but with down comforters, Natuzi leather chairs, and the option to ring for room service from a 5 star restaurant, then you should definitely call me. Attractively decorated and tastefully appointed with certified 'Protect-a-Bed' mattresses and box spring encasements found in many high-end hotels... kid friendly, but not through sacrifice of adult tastes ... the accommodations capture an elegant 'homey-ness' yet with access to amenities of a world class resort and spa. Please note that although the number of guests is listed as 5, the number relates to combined adults and children as there are only 2 queen beds and one small inflatable in the playroom that is meant for a child. I have an attached one bedroom unit that can be added to accommodate larger groups; and, if available, I can offer a reduced rate if both are rented together. Please see my other listing for that in this website. Located in the heart of the resort, this two bedroom condo has over 1000 square feet contained in two living levels. The second level is a full loft with cathedral ceiling, full bath and play room. The large furnished deck is private and overlooks wooded terrain and a small stream.
Conveniently located, you are in walking distance to the spa and many other resort activities. And for additional convenience there is a free shuttle which can take you to any and all of the other resort facilities...from the world class golfing and shooting academy, to the wild animal habitat and equestrian center, to the restaurants (one with free standing aquarium and pool hall), to the casino. There is also a mountaintop heated condo pool with lifeguard, beach towels, lounge chairs, tables and vending machines. Or if the snow keeps you from the outdoor pool, snuggle in front of a log burning fireplace with board games and complimentary hot chocolate and popcorn...after skiing and a horse drawn sleigh ride of course. Or if you want an intimate evening with dinner and cocktails, start with a massage or one of the other 100+ treatment and salon services at the internationally acclaimed Feng Shui-inspired spa. It was rated #10 Resort Spa in North America and #4 Conde Nast 'Top Spas for Treatment'. Next, drop the young ones off at the Kids Club and send the teens safely on the shuttle to 'The Apex Entertainment Complex with its 'kid-awesome' arcades and bowling alleys. Finally...your time! So stroll the halls of the chateau and chalet, wine glass in hand, as you head to the Mobil 5 Star, AAA 5 Diamond Lautrec or one of the other esteemed resort restaurants. And once you've exhausted what you thought had to be all the resort activities, take advantage of the instruction of an acclaimed PGA Master Professional at the new state of the art 360 degree computerized Nike Fitting System. THAT will help master your game on the resort's Par 72, 7,526 yard PGA tested course which was awarded the 2010 Gold Medal Award by Golf Magazine. But if golf's not your thing, try out the Orvis-endorsed Fly Fishing Center's half or full day guided river trips or one of their casting and tying lesson. • The condo perfectly met the needs of our week-long stay! It comfortably slept 4 adults, and the playroom was an ideal extra room for our little one. All of our overnight essentials (and more) were provided. The full kitchen was so nice for meals in. The owner was very informative and responsive to all questions and needs. Highly recommended!

  • We had an Amazing Anniversary weekend here! We came with another couple and we had more than enough space. The condo is very clean, stocked with all necessary toiletries, has a wonderful secluded deck.... We spent time on Nemacolin property all weekend, (Adventure Center and Casino, as well as ate at a couple restaurants.) I would suggest booking weekend activities as early as possible. Our only downfall was that many things were booked.

    Kristin2017-08-13T00:00:00Z
  • Really enjoyed our stay in this cozy condo. Was a bit smaller than expected, but very clean and well outfitted. Gorgeous scenery and so much to do the resort.

    Matthew2017-05-29T00:00:00Z
  • Great experience, I would definitely do it again on another trip to Nemacolin

    Marcus2016-04-05T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great rental experience. The condo was great, a quiet refuge nestled in the woods, and Nemacolin is a fun place to be. We especially appreciated the owner's clear communications, which made check-in a snap. We would definitely rent this condo again.

  • Barbara's accommodations were exactly what my boyfriend and I had in mind for our weekend getaway. Very cozy and homey. Barbara was fast to respond to us when we reached out to her.

    Stephanie2016-01-30T00:00:00Z
  • We found Barbara's town home exactly as described. It was cozy & clean and we were immediately comfortable. Fully stocked with quality items, you could tell Barbara takes great care in providing a nice experience for her guests.

    Kristen2016-10-23T00:00:00Z
  • This place is great! It is a short drive from the much more expensive resort rooms and has everything you need. We loved sitting on the back porch at night. My wife and I have already started planning our next trip and would definitely stay here again on our next Nemacolin trip!

Minutes from Ohiopyle State Park, Kentuck Knob, and Falling water. You will love this very private ranch-style home. Nestled in the Laurel Mountains, just a short drive to all the local attractions and a nice walk to Ohiopyle attractions. Very private. (For you snow skiers....8 miles from Nemacolin Woodlands Resort, 24 miles to Seven Springs Mtn Resort, and 32 miles to Wisp Ski Resort) I try to respond to booking request quickly, but I only have access M-F 8am-2pm. Please be patient.
This home is completely stocked with the essentials. Pots & pans, extra sheets, blankets, everything you need to make you feel at home.
  • Perfect quaint cottage that sits really close to all the attractions of Ohio Pyle state park.

    Michael2016-08-07T00:00:00Z
  • Our only complaints were the bugs. Otherwise, this was a very quaint, cute, secluded cottage of sorts, only a 5-minute drive from Wilderness Voyageurs, where we went white-water rafting, and less time to nearby food and drink. We loved the large bathtub, and the living space was huge and comfortable. It definitely felt like home. I'd bring shoes you don't care about to walk around the yard because it gets muddy. Also, remember there's no wifi and very limited service out in the "country"! We couldn't figure out how to use the coffee maker: Everything in this house definitely felt "vintage," but about that we're not complaining; it was cute.

  • Nice place, as advertised

    Thomas2017-07-10T00:00:00Z
  • Location is unbeatable if you plan to partake in any of Ohiopyle's awesome attractions, so that's a massive advantage for this place. Otherwise, it was decent, certainly less glamorous/polished than the pics but it did the job.

    Dor2016-06-20T00:00:00Z
  • The place was perfect for what we needed. Plenty of bathroom space for the 6 people we had staying there. The firepit was a nice feature as well.

  • WOW! Exceeds all expectations and bonus of prime location! Newly renovated and it looks spectacular! Very satisfied and would rent again next trip. Keypad for the door, no hassle with a key while out exploring/hiking. Great views from kitchen/living room/bedroom. Wake up in the morning with a coffee and look right across the street into ohiopyle state park and couldn't ask for a better view!! A+++

  • The King suite is beautiful. Everything is clean and newly remodeled, and it has huge windows with a great view of town looking down onto the river and main street. The kitchen is fully stocked with appliances, and the bathroom has fresh (crazy soft) towels and any toiletries that you might need. Jessica and her family are really friendly and helpful, and do a great job of making you feel welcome. I definitely plan on coming back sometime in the future.

  • The room was larger than I expected. Everything felt new and modern. It was very clean and has a great view. The location was the best. I was looking to hike, bike, whitewater raft and visit a couple of the Frank Loyd Wright homes in the area (Fallingwater and Kentuck Knob). Everything was a very short distance away from the room. I'd recommend it to anyone interested in staying in Ohiopyle.

The bike trail and river are just about 100 ft away. There is also a playground and zip line right next to it. Parking is right in front. Everything is brand new and extremely clean and comfortable. Nicely furnished front porch. There is a Keurig coffeemaker. Full bathroom in every bedroom plus a large bath downstairs. Very spacious for a large family. Paddler’s Lane pre-arrival information
First, you can download directions from our website at www.paddlerslane.com They are great directions and should get you here with no problem. If you use GPS, Mapquest, or Google do so at your own risk. Although they are usually correct they sometimes misplace a road or bridge.  Paddler's Lane does have cell service. Verizon and AT&T both have towers here Confluence is a very small town, about 400 people, so it doesn’t have big town amenities. It does have a gas station, car repair garage, bank, post office, cycle shop, river outfitter,  grocery store, pharmacy, vegetable market,  hardware store, churches, a dollar general and other small town amenities. Typical of many of the world’s rivers, the Youghiogheny is joined for much of it’s length by a set of train tracks. The train is a part of life on the river and should be thought of as such. It should not hinder your enjoyment of your surroundings. Our guests don't feel that the trains are detrimental to their overall experience. (A significant number of them join us because they are intrigued by the train! ) We think that you will agree.   We are located on a very rural private road. The constant drone of traffic or the roar of semis blowing by will not be a part of your day. Instead, this time of year, you will have the constant movement of the river in your back yard, the rooster voicing his wake-up call, the whistle and rumble of a passing train, and the wind finding its way through the trees. In the summer months humming birds add to the noise and the drone of cicadas is often a companion during the later summer months. Paddler's Lane is a non-smoking house. Smokers may use the front porch or back deck to light up. We'll be happy to provide ashtrays. Just a gentle warning; if you do decide to light up in the house please expect extra charges. To avoid stains and extra charges, we ask that you keep all food and beverages in the kitchen, dining or deck areas. Some of the amenities that you will find in the house are these: central heat and air conditioning, a fully equipped kitchen, and a dishwasher. All of your linens and towels are supplied. Free Wi-fi is include Board games are stored in the entertainment center. You will also find a large fieldstone fireplace, and in addition, there is a fire pit located behind the house and another beside the river.  Activities The Confluence area and the Laurel Highlands are renowned for the variety and level of outdoor experiences available. A Manual in the Chalet will have a comprehensive listing of contact information for these and this same list will be sent to you in an email titled "Activities and Attractions." Some of the most popular ones are: BOATING- Power and pontoon boats are popular on Youghiogheny Lake; a fifteen mile long lake just one mile upstream of us. BIKE RIDING- The great Allegheny Passage gives us hundreds of miles of trail riding available within sight just across the river. These trails are smooth hard-pack or bitumen and are suitable for bicycle riders of all ages. You may bring your own bike or rent some at the trail head. Tote-able child carriers are also available for rent. We recommend the Confluence Cyclery in town.  MOUNTAIN BIKING. - You may rent mountain bikes in the area also. There are many miles of suitable trails. CAVING-Laurel Caverns are a half hour away and can be reached by taking 40 East. It's well worth the drive and kids especially enjoy this one. RAFTING- The Youghiogheny River has three main sections of raft-able river covering all types of skill or expertise. The Middle Yough (which runs behind our house) is a calm class I-II float trip suitable for ages 2 through 90. The Lower Yough is a more exciting section of class III-III+ rapids suitable for children over 12 years old. You may take guided trips on both of these sections or you may rent rafts and do a self guided trip.  The Upper Yough, a wild and scenic river, is a class IV-V river suitable for experts only. You may take guided trips on this section if you have previous rafting experience. FISHING-World class fishing is available in many of the area lakes and streams. One great place to try your luck is the river behind our house. Anglers in the know enjoy this section. CANOEING-You may rent your canoe locally and have your shuttle arranged for you, or you may bring your own canoe and explore the river on your own KAYAKING-Lessons and equipment are available locally. Many lessons will take place on the river as it runs past Paddler's Lane.  HORSEBACK RIDING - Several stables in the area offer horse riding, including "Trail Side Stables" which offers riding in Ohio Pyle State Park.  ROCK CLIMBING-Seneca Rocks are approximately one hour away off Rt. 68 and there are various places in the State Park where you can try your hand. Also Nemicolin woodlands offers a climbing wall and ropes course and specializes in group events geared to enhance team-building and co-operation.  NATURAL WATER SLIDES- This natural feature in Ohiopyle State Park is suitable for children and adults. It's really fun; and it's free! FALLING WATER -Known as America’s most loved house, Fallingwater was built by Frank Lloyd Wright and is 7.5 miles from Paddler's Lane. Visitors come from around the world to join one of the tours at Fallingwater. Tours are available most days. Reservations are suggested. KENTUCK KNOB- Another home designed by Frank Lloyd Wright. It's 20 minutes away and boasts a sculpture garden.  OHIOPYLE STATE PARK- We share a boundry with this "Gem of Pennsylvania". A large 20 foot waterfall and miles of woodland trails and the Youghiogheny river are highlights of this popular park.   HIKING-Several Parks in the area offer miles and miles of hiking trails ranging from beginner to expert. DOWN-HILL AND CROSS-COUNTRY SKIING AND SNOWBOARDING-There are four resorts from 20 minutes to 50 minutes away; Seven Springs, Hidden Valley, Wisp and Laurel Ridge. In addition there are miles of cross country trails in the local parks.   SLEDDING-There is an absolutely great hill for sledding 10 minutes away at Ohiopyle State Park on Sugarloaf Mountain.  MT. DAVIS- Pennsylvania's tallest mountain is popular for those wanting a more lofty adventure; and it's only 20 minutes away!  NEMICOLIN WOODLANDS-This world class resort really has to be seen to be believed. Built by 84 lumber tycoon Joe Hardy and popular with presidents and dignitaries it is worth a day visit just to explore. They also have a reasonably priced day spa for visitors.  HISTORICAL SITES-Fort Necessity and Braddock’s Grave are two popular sites. Our area was center stage for much of the French and Indian War that played such a large part in the making of America. In addition General Washington surveyed and named our Turkeyfoot Township because of the way Laurel Creek, the Casselman and the Youghiogheny join together just upstream of our house. ANTIQUES AND SHOPPING-A list of shops and locations is available and include our own Confluence Antique Mall. If there are other activities you are interested in and you would like assistance in getting information or logistics together please don't hesitate to ask. I'll be happy to help in any way that I can.  Well, I think that about covers the basics. If I've forgotten anything or there are specifics that you need more info on, please feel free to give me a call or email me.

 Cheers!

  • Robin and Dan were more than hospitable! Our goal was to visit nearby Fallingwater, and they added excitement and adventure to our day by suggesting Ohiopyle State Park, Cucumber Falls, Kentuck Knob, and the Lucky Dog Cafe, all of which were better than advertised! Paddler's Lane is beautifully clean, homey and peaceful, far from city or even suburban traffic noise. The occasional train rumbling by reminded me of visits to my grandmother's house when I was a child. The chalet was decorated with lovely hand made ceramics, original art, and comfortable furniture. Breakfast was hearty and delicious, with delightful conversation among our hosts, ourselves, and the other guests. We will find reasons to visit again, among them, kayaking on the river, biking and hiking on the many trails, and, above all, re-connecting with our gracious hosts. Paddler's Lane is PA paradise!

  • We loved the riverside location Robin and Dan have thought of everything

    Joe2017-10-01T00:00:00Z
  • Robin's place was gorgeous tucked away in what feels like the middle of now where but exactly what we were looking for. The house had everything we needed, all very clean and put together. Right in front of the river with a nice deck and a lot of yard for the kids to run around and play with. The train tracks are right in front of the house and they did go by quite often but with the doors closed it wasn't a big deal and I didn't hear anything at night so overall it wasn't an issue. The town is pretty small but they do have a grocery store within 10 min where you can get all the items that you may need.

    Brenda and Cesar2017-03-29T00:00:00Z
  • Place was literally next to the river. Had a fire pit near the river and a porch that were perfect for relaxing in the nice weather we had and was just what we were looking for. Gorgeous country out there. Perfect place for an outdoorsy weekend getaway

    Brendan2017-05-21T00:00:00Z
  • If you enjoy trains, this is your place!

    Jane2016-12-18T00:00:00Z
  • Words can not describe the tasteful appointments, cleanliness, organization and attention to detail. Will always return here.

    Larry2017-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • Paddlers Lane is a very sweet, private and cozy place to spend vacations. Meet the neighbors and sit by the fire pit or sit by the river listening to the waves rush down stream. There is a train that runs directly behind the house, however with the unique carpeted walls, floors and wooden ceilings, the sounds are train is muffled. If you are sensitive to the noise then there are earplugs next to the beds on the night stand. It has a working fireplace and a TV in most of the rooms. I recommend this place with 5 Stars. Robin and Dan are a pleasure to talk to and they truly are super hosts.

  • Thank you so much for being so nice and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay!

    Nick2017-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • Very clean, nicely remodeled common space, shared bathroom, and bunk room. I appreciated being able to do laundry onsite using the coin operated washer and dryer. Parking for the bikes is just inside the front door. Luckily the double doors opened to be able to roll in my husband's recumbent trike. Note: This room has no window so there is no air circulation unless the AC is running. This didn't bother us but might be an issue for a larger group since the room sleeps 6.

    Janet2017-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed one night in Jessica's hostel. The hostel was nice and clean and the location close to Fallingwater was perfect for us. We slept a family of 6 in the hostel room - and the beds very comfy and clean. However it was way too hot during the night, and we had to sleep with the door open. We noticed other people sleeping with the door open, so maybe there was a problem with the A/C? There is a fridge to store food, but there is no plates/cutlery, so bring this if you want to eat your breakfast at the hostel. There is a restaurant next door that serves food all day.

    Anne2017-08-20T00:00:00Z
  • The location was top. The room was clean and the community space was OK. But: the room didn't have a window and no airconditioning. So there was a rather noisy fan that we had to leave on the whole night, so as not to suffocate.

It does have a gas station, car repair garage, bank, post office, cycle shop, river outfitter,  grocery store, pharmacy, vegetable market,  hardware store, churches, a dollar general and other small town amenities. If I've forgotten anything or there are specifics that you need more info on, please feel free to give me a call or email me for more detailed information. Cheers! Robin   Paddler's Lane
  • The main house was well appointed with plenty of room for our extended family. The loft was great for all of the kids to sleep and play. Plenty of bathrooms in the house. Robin was a great host. Trains run by frequently but we quickly adjusted and barely heard them.

  • Robin was an awesome host. She was super flexible and accommodating. It was a great place to stay!

  • The entire stay at Paddler's Lane was wonderful! We rented the main house, and had the full 16 people staying there. Everyone had a bed or a couch, and everyone was very comfortable. Robin and Dan were very welcoming - Robin answered all questions we had prior to arrival, and Dan was there to greet us as soon as we drove in, even though we were later than our anticipated arrival due to traffic. The house is lovely and has all the supplies you could need! The river is just a couple yards from the house, and was warm enough that we could go in it and splash around. The train runs across the road from the house, and can be loud when you're outside, but is barely noticeable inside. I don't think one person's sleep was disrupted by it. Overall, this was a perfect getaway for 16 20-somethings for the weekend. We loved our stay and would love to be able to return again for a longer trip!

  • Robin is quite hands on and will try to help with what ever your require. Most of the beds though, are in the loft, so that's something that has to be seen if you're comfortable with. With us being a larger group, we had a great time at the place. It's close to all kinds of activities and any thing you might require as groceries or food is very close by.

  • Beautiful setting on the river. Our kids loved playing in the river at a small beach a short walk from the property. The also loved sleeping and playing in the attic space, and roasting hot dogs and smores at the fire pit by the river. What a great house for families to gather and enjoy time together. The hosts were available and attentive to our every need. You need to visit this gem of a rental!

  • Had a wonderful stay here. Lovely house, nice furniture. Very comfortable. Would highly Recommend- esp to a group of families with kids for the attic bedroom!

  • Robin and Dan were excellent hosts! My family and I had an excellent time staying in their home. We had a total of 16 people stay in the house and nobody ever felt cramped for space. In addition, their home is in an excellent location considering it is only a few steps to great fishing and a short drive to the town of Ohiopyle. My family's only regret was not being able to stay an extra day! We will definitely be staying there again soon.

  • We all enjoyed our stay here. We were a group of 12 looking to exchange our bachelor/bachelorette parties for a fun weekend away. The home was quite comfortable and the kitchen was beautiful. The loft was great for some of us, but be aware that really tall people would not be able to stand. There was enough room for everyone and we really enjoyed being so close to the river and being able to bring our dogs. Overall, we had a great time!!
