Listen to the sounds of rushing water as you sleep in this beautifully finished cabin style tree house. I was recently featured in The Atlantic online magazine article on tree houses. You can find it in the video section of the online magazine.
This tree house is like a tiny house in a tree yet very comfortable with a "full size" bed. There is a microwave oven and a mini fridge. The stairs wind around the tree to the porch. The guest bathroom is in the main house 30 feet from the tree house. I have pictures of it in the photo section.
I love that I live along the Washougal River, it's my little slice of heaven. Even though it's right in town, I feel like I live in a vacation home year round.
  • Brian was amazing!! Extremely friendly, funny, kind, and helpful. The listing description was on point and the beautiful treehouse had everything and more we needed and wanted! The neighborhood was quiet and serene as well as had friendly neighbors. It was an incredible experience and I can't wait to go back!

    Maureen2015-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful time staying with Brian in Washougal! Brian is a wonderful host. And a great artist- ask to see his paintings! The treehouse was just lovely- we loved waking up listening to the sound of the geese on the river. Definitely will stay there again!

  • My stay was brief, but the treehouse was lovely and cozy with a great view of the Washougal river. Brian was friendly and welcoming and showed me around upon my arrival. A unique spot for sure!

  • Brian is a very down-to-earth guy and very hospitable. Treehouse was cozy. It was nice to listen to the water next to the treehouse.

    Annie2015-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • Brian's treehouse was cozy, and I left the windows open to listen to the river all night. It was the perfect quick overnight getaway. Thank you, Brian.

    Audrey2014-10-11T00:00:00Z
  • Lodging exceeded our expectations. The treehouse was charming and well laid out! The view is unbelievable and you can fall asleep to the sounds of the river. Brian makes every effort to ensure guests are comfortable and have a good time! We will definitely be staying again!

    Becki2014-07-28T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect little tree house along the river right below Brian's house!! Restroom is located inside Brian's home. I was a little hesitant at first but Brain is extremely friendly, accommodating and makes you feel right at home!! Enjoy his place, his art!! Play & flaot the river all day! This place truly reminds you of life, how far away you feel in nature yet your so centralized!! Definitely a place to revisit!! I loved it here! ♡

  • My husband and I enjoyed our last day of vacation at the tree house before returning home to Atlanta. Everything is just as described, only more beautiful in person. I only wish we has more time to explore the Washougal area. Upon our arrival, we were greeted by Dobby the dog who could not have been sweeter. He even joined us on the porch and sat with us for a while as we got settled. We arrived just before our host, Bryan, was able to greet us, but he was sure to call ahead and make sure we got in okay. After getting settled in, we made the drive to the town of Hood River. Long, though incredibly scenic, we'd reccommend the journey if you have time. Bryan told us about a lot of things to do around Washougal that we would have loved to have had time for, as well. We did make it into the neighboring town of Camas for a bite of pizza at Twilight, and there's a Safeco just around the corner where we bought a bottle of wine to take back with us. Everyone we encountered was incredibly helpful and friendly. The treehouse is such a gem...falling asleep to the sound of the river, windows open, reminds me of camping as a kid, only way more comfortably. Thank you for being a most gracious host, Bryan, and for sharing your lovely home with us. We wish we had just one more day!

  • Angela was quick to respond and very accommodating. The apartment and neighborhood is lovely. My stay was wonderful.

    Claire2015-11-04T00:00:00Z
  • This was such a neat little place, my stay here was great. It is private and has its own separate entrance. The bedroom is a nice size along with the bathroom and tv area. Thanks again Angela!!!

    Joe2015-12-08T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely loved Angela's spot! Traveling to the city, we just needed one night to sleep for the evening. I wished we could be here another night! So adorable, and she has everything you need, dishes, toiletries, extra blankets, etc. Angela was always available and made our experience so comfortable. Thank you Angela!

    Krystin2016-08-17T00:00:00Z
  • Angela's place was exactly what I was looking for. The self check in was very easy and it was clean and quiet. There were a lot of rules that I tried to make sure I was following snd keeping straight but was able to pick them up pretty quickly.

    Jordan2017-06-30T00:00:00Z
  • Angela was very gracious. The apartment was clean and roomy. The location requires driving to just about anything you would need, but the price was fair.

    Vicki2015-10-10T00:00:00Z
  • Angela was very helpful, and the space was great for the cost. We only stayed for one night, and she was very understanding when we cancelled our second night since the home I bought was ready to be moved into!

    Aubrey2014-10-28T00:00:00Z
  • Great stay. No hassle booking and communication.

    Sheena2016-10-19T00:00:00Z
  • Angela was a great host and had very good communication with us throughout the whole process. Her garden was beautiful and gave me garden envy! Everything was as described in the listing. Location was perfect for our venue and within easy driving distance to many popular sites. A bit noisier than we expected, but overall, a fantastic experience!

Our small (8X12) free-standing studio is light-filled, private and tucked away under the trees. With a comfortable queen-sized bed, microwave, mini-fridge electric kettle and table, you will be cozy here! Please note: The Tiny House does not have its own bathroom. Guests use a shared bathroom just inside the back door of our house (our family has a second bathroom upstairs, but the downstairs bath is shared with other houseguests).
Our tiny house is a delightful retreat. While you do share a bathroom in the house, this outdoor studio will offer you great privacy. The tiny house is set up for you to be able to sleep and make coffee/tea and microwavable meals. There is a mini-fridge for your perishable foods, and microwave and electric kettle. There is a table which you can use for dining and also as your desk. Enjoy sipping a cup of locally roasted coffee (beans provided!) while you admire your view of trees and chickens on our little urban farm. Please note: we are working on making some improvements, including lush landscaping, a private deck with outdoor bistro table and more. Your feedback and ideas are welcome. The tiny house is very small so we do not store many things in there, but we do have additional amenities available, including: extra pillows and blankets, extra fans and space heaters, hair dryer, curling iron, clothing iron, yoga mat, extra towels, kitchen utensils, tupperware and more. If there is something you need, just let us know and we'll do our best to accommodate!
We live in Portland's Lents neighborhood, which is ethnically diverse and not yet gentrified. We are close to some lovely local nature preserves, including Leach Botanical Gardens and Powell Butte. We are also close to freeways, airport, parks and public transit. Please note: We are about 10 miles from downtown Portland and about 3-5 miles from the "hip" neighborhoods in SE Portland that have a lot of walkable attractions. If you have a car it is pretty easy to get around from here, but this is not the ideal neighborhood if you are hoping to walk to Portland's best spots without driving or taking the bus. You can walk to Safeway, Walgreens, and the closest bus stop very easily from here.
  • Small cosy space, clean and functional. Nice to be separate from the main house, good value. Although on a residential street, for me the traffic noise from main road was an issue but highly recommend if that is something others can overlook as its a cool little house.

    MaRa2015-10-02T00:00:00Z
  • They were great hosts!

    Courtney2017-09-10T00:00:00Z
  • Awesome place to stay. It was very clean, comfortable, and cozy. There is a heater and a fan provided to combat the weather. There was also tea, coffee, a mini-fridge, along with books. The bed was very cozy. Overall, we had an amazing stay.

    Maynard2017-10-31T00:00:00Z
  • I had the perfect little getaway in the tiny house, complete with very comfy and cozy surroundings and super good coffee (and an excellent list of recommendations for food and such). I would happily return!

    Tess2015-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • This place is excellent. The lighting and colors in the room are great. Opening up the windows to the tree was pretty memorable. They are excellent hosts!

    Enrique2017-10-22T00:00:00Z
  • The tiny house was the perfect space for my boyfriend and I to stay for a few days while we were in Portland. The tiny house is definitely small, but perfectly quaint. We didn't plan on being at the house very often, so the size didn't matter. If you're looking for a budget friendly option Kate and Joel's tiny house will be perfect for your upcoming trip. They even left some very helpful notes behind about the public transportation, and all of their favorite places to check out around the area. I would definitely stay there again! :)

    Aubrie2017-10-07T00:00:00Z
  • This was a genuinely warm family with a genuinely sweet and quiet little cottage to share. A perfect location for a meditative getaway!

    Lyn2015-08-24T00:00:00Z
  • The stay at the tiny house of Kate & Joel was very nice. The accommodation included all the listed items and we could make good breakfast thanks to the fridge, the water cooker and the microwave. The bathroom was very clean and easily and always accessible in the main house.

Nestled in a backyard that's home to three cute dwarf goats and a flock of hens, this little cabin overlooks the hot tub, back woods, and greenhouse. Serenity and relaxation await you. Complete with an outdoor shower (in the summer months), this is a great place to unwind. Close to the Columbia River Gorge and Mt Hood and only 30 mins to downtown Portland - you get the best of both worlds. The cabin is good for couples and solo adventurers.
This little cabin is tucked into my half acre backyard. Surrounded by a garden, goats, hens, old growth fir trees, canvas wall tent (which also hosts guests), and a hot tub - you will also have access to a half bath with a toilet, sink, and laundry in the main house - as well as an outdoor shower on the deck in the summer months. These spaces are shared. The cabin, however, is all yours. The cabin itself is equipped with a queen size bed with memory foam mattress, a table with two chairs, a hot water kettle, a dresser, as well as a very-mini fridge. This is a space to unwind and relax.
Halfway between Mt Hood and Portland, this spot is a good jumping off point for the gorge, mountain activities, or time in Portland. The neighborhood is partly suburban, partly urban, and partly farmy. It's a big mix out here. Close proximity to Edgefield.
  • THe hot tub and goats were the best part of this stay! Carolyn was great!

    Madison2017-04-16T00:00:00Z
  • Comfy bed. Everything is exactly as she describes. Good location.

    Penny2017-09-19T00:00:00Z
  • This is a great cabin for a weekend vacation. Though in town and close to the airport, it is nicely tucked away in the woods. I really enjoyed seeing the goats playing out back.

    James2017-07-18T00:00:00Z
  • Such a sweet little cabin! Carolyn did s great job of making it feel like a retreat. The goats are my favorite for sure, but the inquisitive chickens, the vintage inspired fridge, the stacks of old nature books, and the cozy bed are a close second :) would absolutely recommend! Clean, close drive to a cute downtown, and very quiet. Didn’t try the hot tub but I’m wishing we had!

    Sophia2017-10-12T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at Carolyn's place was great! You can really tell she took the time to make everything about the studio apt perfect. It was awesome feeding the goats, too! Highly recommend staying here.

    Joe2017-07-20T00:00:00Z
  • Loved the look of the space and the out door shower. The adorable goats were also a plus!

    McKenzie2017-08-03T00:00:00Z
  • Carolyn was very easy to communicate with and very accommodating to my schedule. Her place was welcoming and easy to get comfortable in. Plus the goats were a nice bonus. Highly recommend!

    Chris2017-10-15T00:00:00Z
  • Carolyn's cabin was great. It was rustic, but nicely kept. I was a bit apprehensive about the outdoor shower, but it was actually really nice. The hot tub was fantastic. The bed was comfortable. There was a small fridge and a hot water kettle. The location was convenient. Carolyn communicated well before, during and after the stay.

Private guesthouse room in NE Portland. 10 minutes from PDX Airport. Detached guesthouse is a studio set-up. Main room with two twin XL size beds, walk-in closet and private full bath. Cable TV, wireless internet and parking. Access to patio. Private entrance/exit.
Children - no children under the age of 8 are allowed. The guesthouse is not child proof and I am not comfortable having small children in the house. The studio guesthouse is a completely separate building from the main house. It has it's own entrance and private parking right in front. No stairs. Direct access to the patio and it's own private shower bathroom.
Located in the outer NE of Portland. Close to the Portland Airport. Close to Mt Tabor, Montevilla and the Hawthorne as well as Irvington, Hollywood and Alberta Arts neighborhoods. Hawthorne, Alberta Arts, Belmont and Irvington are about 15 minutes away by car. It's also 15-20 minutes by car to downtown. Easy access to Highway 84 West to Downtown or East out to the gorge and Multnomah Falls. Highway 205 North to Vancouver/Seattle and South to Clackamas/Wilsonville is very close as well.
  • We could not have asked for a better experience staying with John in Portland. The guest house was extremely clean and super comfortable. John made us feel extremely welcome - giving us a tour and checking in to see if we needed anything throughout our stay. He was generous, even picked us up at the airport! He had a list of great restaurants to try in Portland, and even took us to one our first day. We had breakfast all together a couple times as well, and John was sure to show us the best places to visit. This was our first Airbnb experience, and John seriously set the bar high. We could not have asked for a better experience, or for a better host. We'll definitely Airbnb from John in the future!

    Lauren2015-12-08T00:00:00Z
  • My friend and I hit the airbnb jackpot by choosing John's cozy private guest house! It was our first time using airbnb and we could not be happier with our experience. John was extremely helpful and accommodating. First of all, he gladly picked us up from the airport and on the same day, dropped us off downtown! We had already thought he was a godsend, but he surprised us even further by letting us borrow his car to visit the Multnomah Falls! OK now let's get to the room. The place was spotless and gorgeous. My favorite aspect was that you can really tell that he designed the room to be very relaxing with added amenities such as the wonderful shower head, high tech coffee maker, mini fridge full of water bottles, soft sheets and pillow, satellite tv, and free wifi. His house is close to the bus station. (maybe half a block) That was very convenient. We took it to get to the Max station which then took us downtown. The last thing I wanna mention is John himself. He was so easy going and friendly that it felt as if we had known him far longer than just 3 days. All in all, the whole stay ran as smoothly as possible. I know I'm an airbnb noob but, I HIGHLY recommend John's place to everyone!

    Karla2014-03-28T00:00:00Z
  • Our experience with John was great. From the day we reserved the place, he was already communicative and eager to help us along the way in planning our Portland adventure. He had a whole list (that we used heavily) of great recommendations for restaurants and attractions that were on the money. It was enjoyable chatting with him, and he was genuinely friendly and cared about our experience in the city. The room itself was very clean. It separated from the main house and felt very private. Everything was top notch and little things such as soap and shampoo was provided to us. Check in was simple as he was there to meet us at the time we agreed. During our car drive up to Portland he was able to keep in touch with us, so that we would be able to bet there at the same time. Overall, I would strongly recommend John as a host!

    Kevin2014-09-19T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed in John's guest house with my father and we had an awesome time! Great location and beautiful setting. I was looking for a clean place with two beds and a bathroom at an affordable price. This rental was so much more! The beds are plushy like sleeping on clouds. The whole place was very clean and kept nice. My dad enjoyed the keurig coffee maker and I enjoyed the delightful shower. Backyard is welcoming with Japanese maple and other greenery, on the nice patio we sat and watched the stars. John joined us for a while and he couldn't have made us feel more at home. Great guy, only wish we would have more time to chat during our busy road trip. This night MADE our time in Portland. I cant wait to stay again!

    Marie2015-04-01T00:00:00Z
  • John was as courteous as a host will come. He made sure we were extremely comfortable and offered plenty of great advice towards local restaurants, as well as suggestions for the next stop on our trip. The shower was incredible, the beds were super comfy and the space was clean and just like home. For coffee drinkers, John provided cream (!!!!) which was greatly appreciated! We would never hesitate to stay here again!

    Emily2015-09-06T00:00:00Z
  • This private guesthouse was perfect for our trip to Portland. John was a wonderful host and has created a spa like refuge better than most local hotels! The unit is extremely clean, tastefully decorated, comfortable beds, and most important it had a great air conditioning unit for our 100' days! My father and I enjoyed hanging out with our host one morning on the charming patio and talking about our families and how we both found ourselves in Portland. I have already recommended this lodging to other friends and family if they ever find themselves in Portland.

    Sicy2015-06-29T00:00:00Z
  • Great quiet place. John was so accommodating and informative.

    Beomjy2015-07-17T00:00:00Z
  • John is a wonderful host and his place is ideal for short term visits to the Portland area. The private guest house is impeccably clean, well heated with great beds and a great bathroom. A fridge and Keurig coffee maker also help to make the guesthouse a comfortable! John was so helpful in indicating good places to eat and shop, as well as how to take advantage of Portland's public transport. There is a bus stop immediately adjacent to the house, and there are a number of food and grocery locations within a couple of stops. The 2-mile running loop across the street from John's place is also a fantastic place to exercise or stroll. Overall, we really enjoyed our visit and will be looking John up again next time we are staying in Portland!

Located at the gateway to The Gorge, 15 minutes East of the Portland, Oregon airport, on a quiet city street, walking distance to the Columbia and Washougal rivers, and nearby Amnesia brewery. Rental in includes the use of the Tree House, Tiny House and main 4 bedroom, 2 bath main home.
Space includes the use of the 4 bedroom, 2 bath, main home use of the tree house and tiny house on the property. The property is within walking distance to the Washougal River, Columbia River, grocery stores, brew pubs, a few restaurants and convenient stores. It is a short drive to a lot more restaurants, movie theater and stores. It is 30 minutes outside of downtown Portland. Access to the tree house is up a vertical ladder about 12 feet, so you must not be afraid of heights! This structure is well built, and sturdy, and is often slept in, but you must understand the inherent dangers associated with tree houses prior to your stay. This tree house is not suited for young kids.
The house is walking distance to the Washougal and Columbia river. There are world class hiking and biking trails nearby. The property is located in the city of Washougal.
  • Kenny was great, very helpful and warm. The place looked as pictured, really fun and original.

    Chantal2015-06-20T00:00:00Z
  • my stay in kenny's treehouse was magical! the place is beautifully crafted with so many thoughtful details. his home is equally as beautiful and i felt completely comfortable staying there solo. definitely a special experience i would recommend hands down to anyone.

    Kristi2012-07-11T00:00:00Z
  • Kenny met us for an early check in. There were all the things we needed in the house, plus great extras like the grill, hot tub, and sauna. This would be a great place for a family get together, plenty of space.

    Alex2017-06-11T00:00:00Z
  • My treehouse was simply the best. I especially appreciate the short walk to great dining, AND nature. Kenny is VERY knowledgeable on both, plus he's open and interested to hear your experiences. I am impressed!

    DAVID2013-06-25T00:00:00Z
  • Tremendous location: Downtown Washougal is a little-known gem ~ walking distance to Amnesia Brewery, a PNW-hipster breakfast spot, the river for a run or stroll and more. Seriously, consider this base camp as a laid-back alternative to Portland for area exploration. You'll love the tree house and cabin in particular. Funky and comfortable. Main house has plenty of room for a large group like ours, laid out well for cooking & group meals. Helpful to have Kenny close to help sort out the little things.

    Tiger2017-08-01T00:00:00Z
  • The Treehouse Living was our perfect little getaway. Kenny and Aimee were amazing hosts! It was our first visit to Oregon and they offered suggestions and knew in detail all the great trails for each location that we wanted to hike. We highly recommend them as hosts and their Treehouse Living accommodations.

    Jennifer2013-08-05T00:00:00Z
  • Be not afraid of spiders and steep steps and you'll really love this treehouse. Had a great night sleep in a sleeping bag and with some Christmas lights up, too. More importantly, Kenny is exactly the reason I continue to use and host on airbnb; he's kind and thorough. His place is clean and the yard is wonderful. And, based on Kenny's reccs, I learned first-hand that Our Bar in town serves up an exceptional meal. 5-stars.

    Emily2013-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed with Kenny last month for our last night in Portland and we had a great time! We wish we had more time in the treehouse because it was pretty awesome. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for something a little out of the ordinary. It's built very well - just like a house actually - so we didn't have to worry about any unwanted 8 legged creatures coming in at night. Also, Kenny and Aimee were great hosts with lots of suggestions for restaurants and activities nearby.

  • Really cute, cozy, artsy and warm studio. The inside is spacious and well-designed. Easy to find on the east side in a nice quiet neighborhood. Beds (including the big air mattress) are very comfortable with quality linens. Didn't meet the host but was very nice and accessible via messaging and entry w/directions were really easy. Definitely a great place to come back to and relax if you're in and around Portland!

  • Lee's place was GREAT! Simple, cute, and 100% accurate to how she advertised it. It's located in a wonderful quiet neighborhood that feels incredibly safe. Couch and bed were extremely comfortable. Shower has excellent pressure and gets hot quickly! Her bath towels are HUGE and fantastic. Location is excellent. We utilized the TRIMET perfectly. The BnB is located about 1/4 mile from the 77 BusStop and we got to things easily. Really enjoyed our stay!

The space has a TV (Neflix, Amazon Prime video, and the ability to stream from your smart device), soundbar, dresser, closet, big bathroom, desk, chair, mini-fridge, microwave, electric tea kettle, dishes, coffee (french press), and tea. The space is in the basement--has normal sized windows and gets lots of natural light. I'm upstairs--I'm a quiet low-key guy who's early-to-bed, early-to-rise. Even though I'm on the floor above you--you won't hear me much.
Mostly residential neighborhood. Rocky Butte has beautiful 360 view of Portland and surrounding mountains. The Grotto has yearly Christmas light displays that are excellent. There's a super cool LGBTQ friendly bar & grill just a short trot down the street. Then there's good brunch spot nearby. Otherwise, it'd be best to hop on a bike or light rail, or drive to the cool places listed in the summary.
  • Very clean, great indications, comfortable, and at a price you cannot beat.

  • The room was really great. The shower was a little dirty but everything else about the room was great.

  • Thatcher's airbnb was the perfect home away from home during my trip to Portland. The space and amenities were well thought out for an overall perfect experience.

    Jasper2017-01-14T00:00:00Z
  • This place was easy to get to from the airport. It was extremely affordable and had all the amenities we needed. It was a quiet place to relax in after a busy and adventurous day!

  • Everything you'd hope for in an Airbnb! Clean bed, clean bathroom, clean everything! Great living room area. Very close by car to everything. We'd definitely stay again. Thanks Thatcher!

    Kevin2017-05-12T00:00:00Z
  • Thatcher's place was perfect for what we needed! Comfortable, clean, exactly as described, quiet neighborhood but close enough to the areas we wanted to see.

    Amy2017-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • This place was such a great deal. It was very spacious and very comfortable. Thatcher was a very easy going host. And even though I did not get to meet him in person, I could tell that he made sure that the place was ready for me. Everything I needed was available and I really appreciate having access to great wifi and cable + netflix, etc. Parking was also very easy as the place is located in a residential, quiet area. Location also seemed very safe and family friendly.

We have a small Craftsman style cottage located in a quiet, pretty little gem of a neighborhood. We're 8 miles from the Portland International Airport, 2 miles from Blue Lake Regional Park and 3 blocks from Fairview Lake. Depending where you walk in the neighborhood, you'll be able to enjoy a beautiful vista of Mt. Hood - when it's not hiding in the clouds. We love it here and hope you'll enjoy Casa di Fiori as much as we do.
Portland moves many goods by train. In fact, they move some of it just across the street. There are no nearby train track crossings so we don't have train whistles. If you're a light sleeper, however, the trains may not seem as magical to you as they do to us.
Residents are friendly and walk the neighborhood all the time. There are some moderate rises and plenty of flat walkways. You'll get a little cardio going without wearing yourself out.
  • Craig and Glenda's kindness and generosity was beyond compare. They were so incredibly welcoming when we arrived and opened their home to us completely during our stay. The house is beautiful with a lot of charm and character. I would recommend anyone to stay here and hope I can come back sometime myself. Thank you, Craig and Glenda, for making our time in Portland so enjoyable!

    Monique2017-08-17T00:00:00Z
  • If you are looking for a great place to stay I highly recommend staying here. Everything is as advertised plus some. The hosts are very nice and the home is immaculate. The room is very comfortable.

  • Craig and Glenda were more than gracious hosts, generous with their time and attention. Their home was a blessing to visit.

    Patti2017-12-19T00:00:00Z
  • Craig & Glenda’s place is great. It is actually so much better than it looks in the photos. It is so spacious, clean, and quite in a super safe neighborhood. I really can't think of anything that needs to be changed or improved. Craig & Glenda have been so nice and super generous to me. They did make my stay comfortable. I have been using Airbnb for so long and Craig & Glenda’s place honestly made it to my top 5 places list. I would defiantly recommend it to a friend, and would be more than happy to come to it again. Thank you, Craig & Glenda, for your kindness, hospitality, and for giving me the chance to stay at your beautiful place.

Our space is welcoming, comfortable, safe, warm and inviting! You will really enjoy it and have fun.
It's a quiet neighborhood in a gated community. We love that we are close to city and just a short bit away from the busyness of Portland. We love Hood river and all the falls so enjoy living closer.
  • This is a clean, comfortable, attractive space with friendly, easy-to-work with hosts in a great location! The room is private so we could come and go without disturbing anyone. The hosts provided nice amenities such as a personal K-cup coffee maker and mini fridge (with a few goodies stocked) that made the stay comfortable and enjoyable. We highly recommend you try it!

  • Debby was the perfect hostess. She made everything, from check-in to check-out, easy and simple. The room was quiet, clean and cheery, and the bed comfy. The location was perfect for me as I had business in Troutdale. I highly recommend Debby’s place.

    Nanci2017-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • This was such a lovely and peaceful stay. The neighborhood is safe and the homes are so pretty. The room offered is perfect. Great space, big closet, private bathroom, spotless, and private patio. TV-wifi-fridge-coffee, so many cute little details. Even decorated like a picture in a magazine. The hosts ... all four of them, greeted me upon arrival. Debby, Marti, Tank (elderly bulldog) and the new fur baby. I highly recommend!!!

    Treva2017-06-30T00:00:00Z

  • We highly recommend for anyone wanting a clean, safe and economic place to stay while visiting the Portland / Mt. Hood area. Although it says not recommended for kids under 12.... my 13 y/o and 9 y/o were fine as long as they had their devices to keep them entertained and were on good behavior ;). We used the accommodation as an overnight only home base while we had day trips planned for the duration of our stay. I wouldn't recommend for anyone wanting a place to hang out during the day as there are no onsite amenities to speak of, but it ended up being perfect for what we intended on using it for. There is no microwave, but they allowed us to use our little hibachi on the patio. Still trying to make meals there is not ideal, so I'd recommend eating out for the most part. We love all the little details the hosts provided including quality snacks, toiletries, DVD's and air hockey game. They don't recommend wheelchairs, but the room is accessible -- I managed ok with my transport chair. Long term parking is a little bit of a walk, but we were able to park in driveway for loading / unloading. All in all we'd definitely stay there again. Thanks Debby and Marty.

Comfortable, quiet, safe, suburban neighborhood. Our neighborhood park is less than a block away. Factory Outlet mall is a short jaunt down the road (no sales tax in Oregon!) Bumpers Grill & Bar, The Rock Woodfired Pizza, McMenamins Edgefield-all good choices.
  • As always, this home is quiet and relaxing.

  • My pup and I had a great time staying at Ann's house! It's location next to the freeway was very convenient and she and her husband were very nice and even made me coffee one very early morning. It was very nice to have a dog-friendly place to stay. Please make sure your dog has manners though; the other guest's dog was out of control and I felt bad for Ann and her husband.

  • Needed a quick place to crash overnight for an early race in Hood River the next day. Really nice bedroom in a quiet neighborhood, only approx. 2-3 blocks from a Target store in case there were any last-minute necessities needed. Keypad entry meant I didn't have to deal with keys. I loved the room had a binder full of local tips and attractions, and there was an outlet allowing me to directly plug in 2 USB charger cords in addition to the regular. The bed was very comfortable and the room had a ceiling fan if I needed more circulation. Two bottled waters and a TV in the room. They were really welcome hosts, allowing me as little or much privacy as I needed. I slept soundly and had a great stay. Would easily book again if in the area.

    Jessica2017-10-22T00:00:00Z

  • Loved the place. Modern and clean on the inside. Close enough to all different areas of Portland. Great stay

  • This place was great! We had a group of 8, stayed for 2 nights. Before our trip I had several questions that Lin answered promptly over the air bnb chat. When we were checking in there were cars parked in the driveway. Lin answered my call right away. Turns out it was the neighbor's cars and they moved them right away. That was the only time I had to call Lin and I appreciated her promptness overall. The home seems to be purely for rentals, very clean and everything is new. The interior is basically model rooms from IKEA haha. The master bathroom shower has two shower heads and a bath tub. Our favorite part was the dock on the small pond that we could fish at. There were tons of small bass, fun to catch-and-release! Tons of mosquitos at night though, beware. The home has central AC, a lifesaver the weekend we stayed with the high temps. The location is in the suburbs right between downtown Portland and Multnomah falls, about 20 minutes to either destination. If your headed to the far west side of Portland it takes a good 40 minutes so plans accordingly (we went to Top Golf). I would recommend this for families and big groups, great value. We were initially worried that we only had two bathrooms between right people but there were only a couple times where both bathrooms were occupied when another person wanted to use them. Would not recommend for loud parties since the neighboring houses are very close together in a quiet suburb street.

  • This is a beautiful house, suitable for all guests especially families. We really enjoyed our stay there. When we had an issue, Karl came and took care of it right away, even if it was late evening. Would greatly recommend this place.

  • Hosts were warm and friendly, though we rarely saw them. They seemed quite available should we have needed them, but the carriage house appt was so well equipped we didn't need to ask for anything. Lovely place in a lovely spot, a creek behind and trees all around. Location perfect. Not far from downtown by freeway and near hiking and outdoor activities in the other direction. First rate experience!!

  • This is the most darling Airbnb. It was exactly as it was described and couldn't have been more perfect for our needs. Greg and Dar were so easy to stay in touch with and made sure we had everything that was needed. It was a top notch unit and could not have been cleaner. Thank you for everything Greg and Dar. It was fantastic. P.S. Did you happen to find a red cork screw that we may have left behind? :)

  • Sam and his son were very friendly, personable, and accommodating. Great communication. Super responsive to my texts. My mom checked in after 10pm and Sam couldn't be nicer about it. I had some guests and relatives visit me, which I was nervous would be a bother, but again, Sam was very flexible and even welcoming. Space is clean and location is quiet. Near a cool coffee shop and Target, which are walking distance.

  • Not only were the accommodations great, so was the host. The house is charming, comfortable, clean, and quiet. Sam is a kind man; he was very welcoming, present to answer any and all questions, and always greeted us with a smile. If I'm ever back in the area, I'd definitely consider staying here again.

1 bedroom with a private bathroom (within our home) available in the "burbs" near Blue Lake park - only 15 miles to downtown Portland and about a half an hour from beautiful waterfalls in the Columbia Gorge and/or Mt. Hood. Quiet & safe, family-oriented neighborhood for a home away from home experience. Quick access to Portland Airport. We have an indoor/outdoor cat and a bunny living here as well (both are clean and litter trained).
Our home is "off the beaten path" but close enough by car to enjoy activities of city or mountains. We have 1 room available with a "Jack and Jill" bathroom in between that one and a second room that is also available by booking the "two room suite in a lovely home". The 2nd bedroom has a full Murphy wall bed. There is room for a sleeping bag or blow-up bed if necessary for a family with a child.
We love being away from the main roads, but close to everything - Portland International airport is less than a 15 minute drive from our home and downtown is only about 30 minutes away. Our neighborhood is clean, safe, and friendly with a nice neighborhood park within a nice 1/2 mile-long walk. Blue Lake Regional Park is within a nice mile-long walk in the opposite direction. This is a lovely place to stay for singles, couples, or a family while visiting the Portland Metro area, or when wanting a place that is close to the many fun activities of the city, and/or the beautiful hiking trails, mountains, or ski areas of Northern Oregon.
  • Cherie and her husband were welcoming and although busy, were available to help with tips on the town or suggest activities, ways to get there, etc. The room was comfortable, nice bed for my aching back and a nice bathroom to clean up in. As luck would have it, their refrig. broke down but we managed ok. The home was in a nice suburb within small distance to the airport and lakes and some shopping. I was only there for a couple days but it was a good experience! I was looking for 4.5 stars sorry it only came out 4, but excellent overall!

    Derek2015-07-07T00:00:00Z
  • Cherie, her family, and their pet bunny were so welcoming! They laughed and played with our 2 year old and really made us feel at home. One of the two bedrooms has a fold down bed, which was perfect, because that meant we had more space for our pack N play. Their house is super close to the Columbia River Gorge which is beautiful. Not only did they give us breakfast, but they sent us on our way with a bag of fresh handpicked grapes. If we're ever in Portland again, we'll be staying with them again for sure.

    Brian2015-09-14T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed with Cherie and Pat for three nights. From the moment we walked in the door we felt welcomed and comfortable. They have a beautiful, clean home. Their home is in a beautiful, quiet neighborhood. We found that finding their home was easy and it was also easy to get anywhere we needed to go in the Portland area. Our whole visit was great. The rooms we were provided were super comfortable. We spent some time with them in the mornings and evenings and loved our visits with them. Saturday night we enjoyed spending time with them watching a movie. I have to say my son and I felt like family. My son said as we were leaving "I am really going to miss them. They are so nice. I will also miss the bunny" We may plan more Portland trips just so that we can stay with these great people.

    Angela2015-06-15T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time at their house. It was located in a lovely neighborhood and Cherie is a great host! She made us feel welcome and very much at home. Their pet rabbit and cats are adorable. I would recommend this place for others in the future!

    Rashmi2015-04-05T00:00:00Z
  • Cherie & Pat are excellent hosts, they made me feel right at home and everything was just like they described. It's really the perfect location; it's close to the airport and inbetween Portland and wonderfully scenic gulches and waterfalls. Cherie communicated so well, so going in and out was such a breeze and they have the cutest animals!

    A.D.2016-07-18T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed for a night, and everything was perfect! We only met Cherie's husband, who was very friendly and a fun person to talk to. And the fact that you get two rooms makes this particular place a steal!

  • It is a decent place with quiet neighborhood.Cherie is a great host and very sweet. We stayed at home for 1 night and got to meet cherie and family ,they are good people to stay with.It is 10 min away from airport so very convinient for us.I recommend this place.

    Nikhil2017-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • Cherie's place was perfect for what we needed! Her home has the best location if you want to explore nature (waterfalls, Mt Hood, etc.) but also want to explore downtown Portland. It is centrally located and the safe neighborhood is easy to get in and out of with no issues in parking. The room(s) are exactly as described, the bed was so comfortable, and it felt as if we were coming home each night rather than staying at a stranger's place. Cherie and her husband, Pat, were both so friendly and hospitable! We also got to meet their son and together they gave us some great recommendations of things to do locally! We really felt welcome and would definitely stay there again!!

Located right by Edgefield McMenamins (within walking distance), a fabulous 74 acre farmland brewery with restaurants, a golf course and spa with a soak pool and summer concerts . 20-minute drive to or from the center of downtown Portland, and about 15 minutes from (PDX) Portland International Airport. 20 min drive to Multnomah Falls, Vista House, Larch Mountain, Crown Point Hwy, Sandy River and Columbia River Gorge. A great location, easy access to highway 84 and to explore the Gorge.
  • Mena is an amazing host! She goes above and beyond with prompt communication, and is just so kind! The room is beautiful and clean. The bathtub is to die for, and the bed is very comfortable! The location was great, too! Mena is top-notch, and you will not be disappointed with your stay. :)

    Michelle2017-08-24T00:00:00Z
  • Mena's place was super clean and very spacious! It was walking distance to McMenamin's, which was convenient for attending the concert we were visiting for.

    Jackie 2017-08-13T00:00:00Z
  • Mena's place was exactly where I needed to be after a long, cross country flight. She was so kind and able to let me check in earlier than I expected to. I was so appreciative of her attentive communication. When I opened the door to my room I was surprised to see I really had every single thing I could possibly need without having to leave! Mena had water bottles and a thoughtful note on the bed for me. In the bathroom was a coffee and tea set up with all the accoutrements. She even left some bubble bath and I was able to partake by soaking in the gorgeous garden tub. The bed felt like a cloud. I slept so well and was grateful for it. I later was able to walk to Edgefield in less than 10 minutes for dinner with a friend. It's so convenient to the concert venue and everything Edgefield has to offer. Mena is such a thoughtful hostess I would absolutely recommend staying with her and would love to again, myself.

    susan2017-07-02T00:00:00Z
  • This place is super close (within walking distance) to Edgefield which is great for concert goers! She has the room set up beautifully, it's welcoming, clean, and felt like we were staying at a hotel. Very pleasantly surprised! The room itself was upstairs with a double door entry. Inside there is a queen sized bed in a very spacious master suite with a dramatic red accent wall which was nice. The room was simply and beautifully furnished with a tv and extra blanket. The bathroom suite has two sinks, a bathtub, a separate stand up shower, a separate toilet room with its own door, and a large walk-in closet. I would have been comfortable staying longer than a night. She had taken care of amenities such as shampoo, conditioner, soap, water bottles, and even chocolate. Her communication with me was great, we stayed up to date with each other just like I'd do with my friend. She was easily flexible with our check-in process, as what we had planned to do didn't happen and so we would be arriving later. She had backup plans for just that possibility and made it easy. I would totally recommend this place!

    Karen2017-06-10T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect for a trip to Edgefield, and Mena was absolutely accomodating.

    Caitlin2017-07-23T00:00:00Z
  • Very accommodating and flexible. We did a very late check-in and the lock box entry was convenient. The bathroom is really the amazing part: large, clean, a shower, big bath, zen decor, windows, rugs, 2 sinks, coffee maker, walk-in closet.. Thought went into this room. It is a lot of red, which I was more fond of than my spouse. No complaints here!

    Stephanie2017-07-29T00:00:00Z
  • A delightful time in a wonderful area I would highly recommend. While there were other people staying at the house we never had any issues and they respected our privacy. The bathtub was definitely a highlight.

    Chris2017-10-08T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I had a great stay with Mena! We attended a concert at Edgefield which was a super easy, less than 10 min walk from her house. Her instructions were clear and easy and we had everything we needed for our stay. The weather was hot during our stay but her AC unit worked wonderfully to keep our room cool. The bed was really comfortable too! Highly recommend Mena for your next stay out near Edgefield!

Our 1890s farmhouse has ONE BED available upstairs, FULL-SIZE. Shared hall bathroom (1 other roommate). Check in 9am-9pm. Green, Eco-friendly, home made cleaning products and unscented detergent. No-VOC paint in bathroom. Please conserve water. And open your window for cool night air. Enjoy the kitchen, living room, dining room, and garden. Home-made jam, snacks available. If you need anything specific please tell me in advance! We have a toddler. She likes guests. Most guests like her.
Our Victorian room is cozy, but the house has plenty of space to stretch out and read or work. Your bed is full size, not a queen. Your towels are in the closet. The shared hall bath is directly across from your room, as are the washer, dryer, and iron. Your window overlooks the parking and garden areas. There is a chair and two nightstands (no drawers, though). Near the chair is a new USB outlet to charge all your devices... well two of your devices at a time. There is a blackout shade to cover the window and darken your room.
Our neighbors are very kind, so feel free to wave hello. Bridge Street is a pretty quiet street with Fairview Woods Park at the end, and Handy Park near the entrance, just across Fairview Avenue. The close by coffee shops, Divine Mocha and Stomping Grounds, are both very nice. It's easy to get into Portland or out to the gorge from here.
  • Hollie was a fantastic host, very understanding, beautiful room at a great price, and very clean accommodations. Also very close to Portland, which was a huge plus for us. Thanks, Hollie, for making our first AB&B experience a great one!

    Rheanne2017-08-21T00:00:00Z
  • Upside: easy access to the freeway, between Portland and Multnomah, great backyard area with a farm animals and garden, but inside still has modern amenities. Downside: no late check-in option. Would have been 5 stars if not for the unexpected roof construction at 730am. Hollie was a great host, she was very friendly and accommodating.

    Josh2017-07-30T00:00:00Z
  • Hollie and Chris were fantastic hosts. Their home is absolutely beautiful, located about equidistant from Multnomah Falls and Portland (which is perfect if you want to spend the day hiking and then head into Portland for dinner later, like we did!). The room is exactly as pictured and Hollie and Chris warmly invited us to use their kitchen to make breakfast (with eggs laid just a day prior by the chickens in their backyard!). In addition, if you're a runner, you'll love how close their home is to Blue Lake Park -- absolutely stunning place for a morning run.

    Emily2016-04-05T00:00:00Z
  • Hollie was super friendly and hospitable. Her house was spotless and very accommodating to our needs. The bed was very comfortable. Would definitely book this place again!

    Paulette2016-05-04T00:00:00Z
  • A charming mixture of quaint and high tech, home grown and health minded, seclusion and easy access... this lodging is close to I 84, the airport and the Columbia river gorge area which is just what we were looking for! The ambient noise when we opened the window each night was masked by the convenient tower fan in our room. Hollie and Chris worked and stayed busy throughout our 4 day stay, so we often felt alone, but when we did have time together we enjoyed learning about the house and smiled at the sound of little (Hazel) feet pattering playfully across wooden floors. This restored farmhouse has many unique electronic accessories and appliances that took a bit of trial and error to figure out but we felt at home to give it a try... (perhaps a small notebook of directions in the room would be helpful) We did manage to concoct a healthy breakfast of brewed coffee, whole grains, natural sweeteners and fresh fruit each morning and secured a space in the refrigerator to store a few items. It was just a quick drive out of the city to the river gorge waterfalls... a cool escape from the 100° heatwave that arrived during our stay. After a few days of exploring, we easily got our laundry done in the convenient washer/dryer across the hall.... ready for the next leg of our trip! We enjoyed our time here and would definitely stay again.

    Carol 2017-08-29T00:00:00Z
  • Quaint neighborhood, centrally located, and a great welcoming family!

    Tori2016-07-12T00:00:00Z
  • Hollie was very prompt in her communication, friendly, and concerned for our welfare. The house was charming.

  • What can I say? This place is the perfect location for me since it is 1 mile away from my internship. I come down the night before and sleep in a spacious room and comfortable bed. I don't have to pack an extra towel which is a plus. I don't have to bring an extra blanket because the room is cozy and warm. Having a private bathroom is great too because I don't have to coordinate shower times or even wait to use the bathroom . This place is booking up so fast now. Hopefully, I can stay here again. For any of you reading this, feel free to come to working class acupuncture at 2240 SE 182nd Avenue (right next to Planet Fitness). Your first treatment is free and thereafter the sliding scale is $10 to $20. It's great value. Simple, clean and nice roomy place. Leah is a very gracious and amazing host. VERY KIND and helpful. And then there is Lilly, her beautiful dog for any dog lovers!!! I will check out her place first when I go back to Portland. Thank you very much Leah.

Nestled in a backyard that's home to three cute dwarf goats and a flock of hens, this lovely tent overlooks the back woods and goat pen. Complete with an outdoor shower (in the summer months), this is a great place to unwind. Close to the Columbia River Gorge and Mt Hood and only 30 mins to downtown Portland - you get the best of both worlds. The tent is good for couples and solo adventurers.
This awesome wall tent is tucked into my half acre backyard. Surrounded by old growth trees, a garden, goats, hens, little cabin (which also hosts guests), and a hot tub - you will also have access to a half bath with a toilet, sink, and laundry in the main house - as well as an outdoor shower on the deck in the summer months. These spaces are shared. The wall tent, however, is all yours. The tent itself is equipped with a queen size bed, an outdoor table with two chairs, a hot water kettle, as well as a very-mini fridge.
  • Carolyn's backyard glamping site is the perfect escape! The large canvas tent houses a comfy bed with a variety of pillows that will accommodate anybody's firmness/softness specifications, a little buffet that has the basic utensils you'll need to eat small meals, and even a mini fridge! I absolutely loved waking up to the gorgeous light that would peep through the canvas walls in the morning, taking a leisurely swing in the hammock was sublime, and hearing the goats bleating never failed to make me smile. I would highly recommend her spot if you're looking for something a little out of the ordinary, but you don't quite want to take the whole camping plunge. It provided me with a weekend of solitude I desperately needed, and I will definitely stay again if I ever get the chance! 10/10, love love love.

    Melissa2017-08-29T00:00:00Z
  • Another amazing stay in the yurt in Carolyn's yard! I had such a great time staying there, twice! Nice to be in nature and have animal friends surrounding you and still be in the city and have nice restaurants wishing walking distance.

    Chloe2017-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • We absolutely loved staying in the tent. Carolyn has fantastic taste and a great eye for detail, both of which were evident throughout the property. We had a great time hanging out with the goats and chickens, and it was so nice to soak in the hot tub after a day running around Portland. We stayed for two nights and wished the trip were longer. Thanks again, Carolyn!

  • Great glamping experience!

    Laura2017-10-09T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed for one night in Carolyn's lovely tent and I only regret not being able to stay longer! We loved our first glamping experience. The tent and property had everything we needed and I even used the rustic outdoor shower :). My husband and I highly recommend a stay here. And don't forget to say Hi to the chickens and little goats!

    Alysia2017-09-17T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely little tent, secluded and serene. Perfect for a night or a longer stay. Be sure to pet the goats!

    Luke2017-08-08T00:00:00Z
  • Carolyn's Glamping spot is amazing. The tent is lovely and has a homey retro vibe. It is far back enough to provide privacy and also you get to say hello to the goats and chickens on your way in. The goats are the cutest!! I would totally stay here again and completely recommend it for anyone who doesn't mind sleeping in a tent and showering outside, its glamping done right.

    deme2017-07-09T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful! Though you're staying in a tent, you definitely aren't missing out on amenities. Carolyn does an excellent job at providing for her guests. The area feels secluded from the city, but you're only a short walk from the nearest public transit stop. This airbnb is an absolute must in terms of Portland accommodation.

  • Erika was nice and eager to make me feel at home. I'd stay here again on my next trip to Portland!

    Andrew2017-08-09T00:00:00Z
  • As a first time, Airbnb customer all expectations were met. Erika is organized and accommodating. The door greeter "Molly" was always there every time I was entering my room. I met some wonderful people through my visit at Erika's establishment. I mainly choose Erik's Airbnb for location, value and she has cats which make me feel at home. Yes, "Molly" is a cat you just have to met for yourself.

    John2017-09-05T00:00:00Z
  • Great communication, she offered great service, was very friendly, and was respectful of my space if I wanted it. Public transport is a 7 or 8 minute walk - it took me about 50 minutes to get to Downtown Portland on the quickest route. There are quite a few cats, but they stay out of your way for the most part. The room I was in was pretty quite, lots of creeking but not enough where I lost sleep or anything. Shower area was good. Overall very welcoming and wanting to help you with anything you need.

    Elisha2017-06-14T00:00:00Z

Shower bathroom is upstairs, two flights, if this is an issue for you, take note.

Nice cozy 2nd story, 2-bedroom, 1-bath apartment in incredible location. It's quiet, comfortable and feels spacious because of the vaulted ceiling. I have a small deck as well. Excellent restaurants are within 1 mile, including Tai, Mediterranean, Mexican, pizza, coffee shops, breakfast, Chinese, a sports bar grill; pretty much whatever you might be hungry for. Historic Downtown Gresham is less than a mile away as is the Max light rail, to take you to Portland or the Portland Airport.
Gresham has hiking and biking trails, movie theaters, a bowling alley, library, parks, and shopping, all nearby. The Columbia River is 2 miles away and it too has a jogging biking path on its bank. Multnomah Falls is 11 miles. You will never run out of things to do here or great places to eat. The light rail station is about two blocks away if you want to head into Portland. A bus stop is right around the corner as well. Did I mention that little red building behind the trees in the photo from my deck is a donut shop? They make fresh coffee and donuts all day long. Mexican food is to left of the donut shop and Chinese is to the right.

  • We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and, as Gentz and Raya's first guests, found them easy to communicate with and very responsive. Their home is beautiful, comfortable and well-located in relation to Portland city-centre, the entrance to the gorge and historic route 30 and the international airport, which was ideal for us. It also accommodated 6 (4 adults and 2 children) very well and the sofa beds were great - more comfy than many. We didn't use them but found earplugs waiting on arrival (along with some other welcome goodies) which is a thoughtful gesture as some people may find the early-morning train and leaf-blower noise an issue, despite the warning on the listing. We also didn't use public transport so can't comment on this but there is off-road parking, which was good for us and everything we needed within 5 minutes walk or drive. As a bonus, the views out over the town of Troutdale and the valley beyond are lovely and we enjoyed some beautiful sunsets from the balconies on both levels. All-in-all, the home is as listed and, along with the warm hospitality of the hosts, means we would not hesitate to return or recommend... thank you!

  • The townhome is very nice. It is fully stocked with everything needed for your stay, including movies, cooking supplies, cleaning supplies, laundry needs, etc. The location is perfect with easy access to Portland, Mt Hood, and Columbia Gorge. We will definitely consider staying here again if we bring another group to Gresham.

  • It was a beautiful home in a great location. The house was very clean, they left us a bottle of wine and some chocolate and were great communicators throughout the process.

  • Loved our stay here. They have an amazing espresso machine and a well stocked pantry. We were able to cook a great Christmas dinner very comfortably. We had a little trouble checking out on time because our vehicle was iced in and the hosts were more than understanding and allowed us to check out later in the day. Very happy with our stay.

  • Gentz and Raya were wonderful hosts. The house was extremely clean, well-stocked with supplies, quiet, and very comfortable. It was a great place to call home for a few days while exploring wine country and the Columbia Gorge. They were easy to contact with any questions and offered great tips on what to see and do. They even had a lovely bottle of Pinot Noir waiting for us after our long drive. I would definitely stay here again! Thank you Gentz and Raya!

  • Gentz and Raya were such great hosts. They were easy to communicate with and were simply a text away throughout our entire stay. We loved their welcome gift and loved the house itself. It was everything we expected and more. The house is beautiful, modern, and had all the things we needed to enjoy our stay. So close to delicious restaurants, convenient location to hop onto the freeway and explore Oregon, but the house was so cozy you could easily let time pass enjoying the beautiful views from the balconies. We will definitely be staying here when we make our way back to Oregon for another getaway. Thanks for letting us check out a little later Gentz and Raya. We had a late flight so they let us check out later than the check out time! THANK YOU!

  • I stayed in Portland with three friends on our way to Canada and stayed in the Yan household for two nights. Gee was very eager to share his knowledge of the town and was helpful with offering places to go and things to see. He was very helpful while also respecting our privacy. The house was nice and all four of us had a very pleasant stay.

  • Wonderful time! We didn't spent much to any time with Gloria and her family unfortunately! We were very busy at a seminar and exploring Portland. Gloria left us fruit and snacks and was so friendly. Even though we were right in her home she was very welcoming to us! We would highly recommend her to everyone!!!

    Angie2017-05-23T00:00:00Z
  • Very cozy and clean space!

    Yu2016-10-11T00:00:00Z
  • Gloria's place was homey, clean and welcoming. My family picked Gloria's because we were working an event at the convention center. We needed a place that wasn't too far away from city center but also not in downtown so we could easily park our truck and trailer. We got all that plus a family that welcomed us in like one of their own. Gloria had our fridge in the room stocked with essentials and offered us any veggies we wanted out of her garden. The whole family happily chatted with us when we got back at night and it was a privilege getting to know them. We would love to stay here again the next time we are in Portland!

    Devon2017-06-27T00:00:00Z
  • Gloria and Gee were very kind hosts. Gee always made sure we were stocked with water, and the fridge had snacks (eggs from their own chickens) and juice available - it was a nice touch! The family was very friendly, and you did have a private room and unattached bathroom.

    Grace2017-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • Good value, clean home, great hosts. Very comfortable stay. About a 20 minute/ $20 Lyft into downtown Portland. About 20 minutes to some of the sights and waterfalls along the Columbia Gorge.

    Tomi2017-08-22T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time here! Gloria was very accommodating and we had everything that we needed. She really made us feel at home. Her children are very friendly and we loved our interactions with them. We had a rental car so it was easy to drive to downtown Portland (15-20 minutes). It was great being so close to the historic road where we could enjoy some hiking and seeing waterfalls.

    Tp2016-07-27T00:00:00Z
  • Gloria and her family were very gracious and accommodating. We didn't interact a ton because we were tired and then needed to leave for the airport early the next morning. The room and bathroom were large, comfortable and had everything we needed in it. Sleep time was quiet and undisturbed. Overall a great experience!

Fast, easy access to PDX, Columbia River Gorge, Mt Hood, and tax free shopping. Luxury garden apartment with one King bed and four bunks. Quiet and nestled among cedar trees. Wood floors and natural light. Gated community. Pool and spa. Stainless steel rainfall shower heads, kitchen, washer and dryer, printer, high speed wifi, and LED TV w Bluray. Clean and comfortable. Near Portland, Mount Hood, hiking trails, Columbia River Gorge, wineries, and brew pubs. Walk to Starbucks and MAX light rail.
  • Christopher's apartment is very comfortable and larger than the photos suggest. It is very conveniently located near the MAX train station where you can take the blue line to downtown Portland in about 45-50 minutes or so. The apartment is only a thirty minute drive to the waterfalls, Columbia River Gorge and other natural areas, ideal for exploring that part of the Portland area. Check in/out was a breeze and Christopher was always quick to respond to any of our questions.

    Jon2017-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • The only reason I gave 4 stars and not 5 is because the beds are the most uncomfortable things ever. Other than that the location is perfect being right next to shopping and food. The apartment was clean and spacious and the pool and hot tub were very nice. There was complementary wine which was nice as well. It was very hot in the apartment because it is on the top floor so I wish their was AC but we lived without it . Overall would defiantly stay there again.

    Elisa2017-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • Comfortable, clean, spacious condo close to pool and hot tub. Friendly residents, great host, all amenities you could possibly need! Totally ideal place to stay close to PDX, Portland, shopping, and lots of amazing things to see in the region!

    Lisa2017-08-13T00:00:00Z
  • Christopher's apartment was very conveniently located to an event we were attending. It had absolutely everything we needed for a comfortable, safe, and restful stay. We enjoyed being able to cook for ourselves and would be happy to stay again!

  • Wonderful experience with Christopher and the location was great!

    David2017-07-02T00:00:00Z
  • We loved it here, it was super cute and nicely decorated. The host is very kind and quick to respond to any questions you may have. In a safe and quiet neighborhood about 20-30 minutes outside of Portland. Very clean and accurate to the description!

    Tonya2017-08-17T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment is modern, spacious, and clean. We booked this place for our wedding guests. The guests really enjoyed their stay with self, easy check-in and complimentary wine. Only thing is it was during extremely hot weekend so the apartment did heat up quite a bit with only fan in master bedroom. Owner did warn us, also in listing. Regardless, it was a nice place for a weekend getaway with secure building and close shopping area.
