Meadow Rock Farm is a large country estate with a spacious open floor plan making it the perfect place for families and friends to gather. It is beautiful and peaceful in the spring, summer, fall, and winter. Walk meadow paths and explore the property. You will likely see deer and wild turkey during your stay. Wood is provided for the indoor fireplaces and outdoor fire pit, plus marshmallow roasting sticks to enjoy s'mores! Jan/Feb Special: add a 3rd night for $500, new reservations only.
Previously an organic farm, we are located on 30+ acres in southern Butler County near Saxonburg, Pa. It is available for overnight luxury accommodations, sleeping 20, with a fully equipped kitchen. Early Check-in (Noon) & Late Check-out (4:00) Optional: $150 surcharge each. Special pricing for holidays (New Year's, Easter, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas) have a 3-night minimum. Meadow Rock Farm is a newer construction custom timber frame and made of white, red and pin oak beams which were harvested in the Mid-Atlantic area. Since the house is a true timber frame, all of the beams are created with only wood joinery and secured with hardwood pegs. The beams are a highlight in the house creating very large open spaces. The house features a spacious great room and dining areas with the ceilings soaring to the 30 feet to the third-floor loft. The fireplace is made with Maryland flagstone on the first floor. The kitchen includes a commercial range and a walnut bar top that is 2 inches thick with wood that had been in storage since the Depression. The house is filled with country antiques and family heirlooms. It has 6 bedrooms, comfortably sleeping 20 people and 4 full bathrooms. The King, Queen, and Double sized beds feature a feather mattress topper, 100% cotton sheeting, and down comforters. There is a third-floor loft TV viewing area with basic cable and DVD, and a 2nd-floor game room equipped with a Wii, DVD and basic cable. There is wireless WiFi throughout the house. The cedar exterior of the house compliments the woodland setting. Patios of stone and brick overlook the meadow and a fire pit. There are extensive gardens which include roses, perennials, succulents, hostas, and a kitchen herb garden. We encourage our guests to use the vegetables and herbs when they are in season. We have onsite parking for guests. For additional photographs, please check our website for Meadow Rock Farm.
Located in the foothills of the Allegheny mountains, Meadow Rock Farm is a peaceful and tranquil country estate. We are only 25 miles (about 40-minute drive due to traffic and the rivers) to Downtown Pittsburgh and the Strip District, and 15-mile commute to Cranberry Township. We are within easy driving distance to the following wedding venues: Armstrong Farms, White Barn, Lingrow Farm, Succop Conservancy, Butler Country Club, and The Mansion. Saxonburg is a 5-minute drive and our closest town, although it is more like a village. Its founder, John Roebling, invented the cable which was used to build the Brooklyn Bridge. Visit its historic buildings, antique and gift shops, specialty food shops, and restaurants. Pittsburgh is filled with great museums (Andy Warhol, Mattress Factory, Carnegie Museum of Natural History and Art, Heinz History Museum to name a few), plus a great food scene. While visiting in the summer, catch a Pirate's baseball game at PNC Park. The Cultural District includes the Byham Theater, Benedum, and Heinz Hall for theatre, ballet, and symphony performances. Several State Parks are a 30-minute drive: McConnells Mills for hiking and rappelling, and Moraine State Park for biking, hiking, and fishing/boating rentals, and in the winter when there is snow, cross-country skiing, ice fishing, and snowmobiling are options. The Rails to Trails running and biking trail is about a 15-minute drive to a convenient parking lot.
  • This year, our families (my family, my husband’s family, and my sister’s husband’s family) decided that we would rent a house for the Christmas holiday, so that we could spend the entire holiday together, and not have to worry about packing the kids up after opening presents at one house or another, traveling to two to three different houses, eating two or three different meals, and the other general chaos that surrounds the Christmas holiday. We found Meadow Rock farm, and it fit our needs perfectly. Together, we had 16 people spending three nights together. We had a lot of presents to haul back and forth, so the fact that the kitchen was stocked with spices and other baking needs really cut down on the other items we had to tote back and forth. The kitchen was spacious and beautiful, fully equipped (it even had two coffee makers, which we needed), and the oven large. Five of us were able to cook five different side dishes without problem. We combined the two dining room tables and had enough seating for all of us to dine at the tables. The living room was spacious, and Jill permitted us to move the furniture around to suit our needs, and even bring one of the televisions (from one of the two separate television rooms) into the living room to watch holiday movies. The beds were comfortable, the bedrooms roomy, and the bathrooms spacious. Jill and Rhett made sure all bath amenities were well-stocked, and showed us where the “extras” were, in case we ran out. The house also had a washing machine, dryer, and laundry detergent, a dishwasher and detergent, a very large refrigerator, an upright freezer only slightly smaller than the refrigerator, and a smaller refrigerator with a top freezer (FYI, this is where the ice cube trays are located). The grounds are secluded from general traffic. It was rather warm this Christmas, so we started a fire in the fire pit, and enjoyed a peaceful afternoon sitting around the fire and playing in the yard. The patio is large and well-kept, and stones beautiful. Our kids had a lot of fun running around the patio and the yard. Jill checked on us twice while we were there. She is warm and gracious and very pleasant to talk with. We instantly felt comfortable with her. We had everything we needed and more during our stay at Meadow Rock, and we can’t wait to go back.

  • What began with 2-3 friends getting together in the mid-1980’s to bake holiday cookies has widened to include more than 20 who live up and down the East Coast and in the Midwest--from the “originals” (now in our 50’s and 60’s) to young adults and teenagers (the children of those who began the tradition). So, finding a location that could turn our “Cookie Day” gathering, with folks previously staying in a variety of homes, hotels, etc., into a weekend house party for this year’s 17 participants was a challenge—until we found Meadow Rock Farm guesthouse. Set against a patch of lovely Pennsylvania woods and overlooking fields of wild grasses, Meadow Rock is secluded yet not off the beaten path (only 6 miles from the charming village of Saxonburg), offering the opportunity to leave behind everyday stresses and relax. The outdoor patio with fire pit is perfect for quiet reflection and great conversations. The house with its rustic yet elegant design is complemented with gorgeous antiques & decorations and comfortable furniture that invite you to “be at home”. Jill and Rhett, the owners, have truly thought of everything and have created a “retreat” that provides beautiful indoor spaces for visiting, entertainment (big screen TV, WiFi, board games) as well as luxury sleeping accommodations--also perfect for napping, away from the hub-bub of the group! The commercial kitchen, which is FULLY equipped, is a cook’s and cookie baker’s dream! We made good use of the oversized gas oven, extra-large refrigerator and the “cold room” sunporch to cool and keep the 50 dozen cookies we made, as well as to make the wonderful home-cooked meals—from breakfasts to dinners—that everyone helped to prepare. As one of our younger friends commented as he was leaving, “this has been a home-run of a Cookie Day weekend!—when can we come back?” Thanks Jill and Rhett for your attention to detail, promptness in answering our questions, and especially for sharing Meadow Rock Farm.

  • The house is truly beautiful and very spacious. The details have all been planned from flashlights for the driveway at night, extra pots and pans, serving dishes, bar, blankets etc etc. Jill really went above and beyond to make this event a success. She responded to every question quickly and I am so grateful! The weekend was such a success that I was asked to plan a family get together like this every year! They also asked that it be the same house!

  • Jill and Rhett were gracious and attentive hosts and Meadow Rock Farm was a truly idyllic venue for our family reunion! We thought western PA would be a great central location for my family coming from Indiana, Tennessee, and the Washington, DC areas. It was in a nice quiet location, but an easy drive to Pittsburgh or nearby Butler, PA, if you wanted to go exploring or shopping. I found the Meadow Rock Farm listing on Airbnb and was impressed with the description and pictures Jill and Rhett provided, but they really didn't do the house and location justice. The house was immaculate, tastefully decorated, and thoughtfully well-appointed with everything you could possibly need to have a successful gathering. The layout of the house provided a lot of flexibility for sleeping arrangements and worked out perfectly to accommodate the needs of multiple families staying at the house, some with small children. The kitchen has everything you need to prepare full course family meals, including a commercial grade gas stove and oven. I could easily see hosting a family reunion at Meadow Rock Farm for Thanksgiving and having everything we would need on hand to prepare a full Thanksgiving dinner. The house sits on a beautiful large lot with lots of trees and shade, an active vegetable and herb garden, a wide variety of shrubs and flowers (and plenty of good butterfly watching!) and an open sunny meadow to set up for a family game of soccer, kickball, or croquet. We even made use of the bonfire pit and made s'mores in the evening for the kids. Just a perfect location for a perfect family vacation! Finally, Jill and Rhett were the perfect hosts. They live nearby on the property so they are near enough if you ever have any questions or need anything, but they are also respectful of your privacy. They have thoughtfully tried to provide all the comforts of home, from a fully equipped kitchen and pantry, to complimentary continental breakfast items, to a supply of toiletry items such as toothbrushes, razors, etc. available for a modest fee if any of your guests forgets something. They really have tried to think of everything to make your stay comfortable and carefree!

  • Surprise 60th anniversary family celebration for my parents. There were 18 of us that stayed the whole weekend and 21 of us on Saturday. It's a great location for the whole family....coming from Buffalo, Ny and Washington D.C. area. We all sat down together for turkey dinner---plenty of table space, dinnerware, kitchen space! We were also blessed with a 70+ degree weekend, so spent most of it outdoors playing yard games....and a bondfire in the evening. Plenty of room around the firepit for all of us, marshmellow/hotdog sticks for everyone! If the weather didn't cooperate, we would have had more than enough room to play cards and games indoors. The beds were super comfy...everything was so clean. I must admit, I was a little leary of the owner being next door, but Jill is such a great host and just made sure we had everything we needed. At the end of the weekend, several of my family members asked me if we could do this every year!! So we will be back. Thank you Jill!

  • Jill and Rhett have a beautiful and comfortable place that exceeded our expectations. The 3 story farmhouse accommodated our large family with lots of space for kids and adults to eat and enjoy time together. Everyone was happy with their rooms and the kitchen was well-equipped for making meals. We enjoyed the fabulous summer weather with fire flies in the evening and a garden full of butterflies during the sunny days. When the electricity went out one evening or we had an issue with an appliance, our hosts were quick to address the issue so we did not miss a beat. We had a great weekend and would highly recommend the Meadow Rock Farm for families and large groups.

  • My friends and I had a great time at Meadow Rock. The place really is amazing. It's a wonderful place to curl up by the fire in the winter, and I hope to get to go back and enjoy it in the spring. Rhett and Jill are both very helpful and all the amenities are just what you'd like.

    David2016-01-11T00:00:00Z
  • Our family had a tremendous experience during an extended weekend at Meadow Rock. In addition to the house and property being everything we hoped for Jill and Ret were warm, friendly, and a pleasure to work with. We look forward to returning to Meadow Rock Farm in the future.

  • This is a wonderful and restful place to stay with all the privacy you'd need. Located in a safe residential area on a cul-de-sac, the house is beautiful. The room is in a walk in basement with a separate entrance. You can come and go as you please. You have a large living room, bedroom and bath with shower. There is also an exercise area with equipment and a lovely pool table. The living room has large tv and very comfortable couch. Ashby has provided a refrigerator with water, juice, and yogurt. There are snacks including popcorn and cereal and breakfast bars. There's also a coffee maker, a microwave, and a toaster along with dishware and utensils. The place is immaculate and very comfortable. There was no noise at all. Wifi is also provided. Ashby was a perfect host. He gave us several suggestions for sites and restaurants in the area and communicated very well with us. I would definitely stay there again. Thank you Ashby for being such a welcoming host.

Private living space complete with bedroom, kitchen and living room with a country view that can’t be beat! Great getaway destination! Imagine relaxing on the back deck with a glass of wine looking out on open fields with all sorts of wildlife. Animal lovers will be in heaven! Our farm, next to the home, has mules, horses, pigs and a few chickens. Also ideal for golf enthusiasts! Over 6 golf courses within 10 miles. 45 min from the 2016 U.S. Open! 45 min from Grove City Outlets & Pittsburgh
This unique home has plenty of space for our guests. You will have your own entrance, kitchen, living area and bed and bath. The area was made as an in-law suite originally. You can look out your windows and not see any other homes but you will see mules/horse/pigs and some chickens (and occasionally a rooster may be heard) If more space is needed for additional people, arrangements may be made. The walls of the bedroom are slanted and contain a door on the slant. The house was built on the contours of the hill. The living area continues the slanted ceiling.
This is a quiet county area, where all of the neighbors know each other. You can walk through the woods, down the road or just observe nature from the back porch. Usually the deer and turkeys come twice a day.
  • We so appreciated Erin and Joe and their hospitality. We normally live in the city so enjoyed our peaceful surroundings in the country. Also, enjoyed their animals. We were traveling with our dog who settled in nicely as well. We stayed a week and we very comfortable. Look forward to returning again in the future. Thank you Erin and Joe for a delightful time.

    Patsy2017-09-18T00:00:00Z
  • This was only our second Airbnb and we totally enjoyed staying here. The rooms were spacious and exactly as described. The dogs were friendly and watching Loki jump in the koi pond and chase the fish was hilarious. We would highly recommend this place to anyone.

    Bob2017-07-10T00:00:00Z
  • My husband & I moved up to the Cranberry area from Nashville, Tn., as he was being relocated for his job. As is necessary, we needed a nice, clean place to rest our heads while our new townhome was being built. Having looked into other options, we made the decision to stay at Erin's BnB for affordability, cleanliness and privacy. There accommodations were by far better than staying at a hotel, especially for the tranquil setting & affordability! Both Erin & her husband Joe were a gracious host & hostess and welcomed us with open arms into their lovely home. They were very friendly and accommodating with whatever needs we had... It was a 1 bedroom apt. with full kitchen and a spacious living area & bedroom w/private bath. There were laundry facilities available too. If you enjoy a peaceful, tranquil environment, you will love staying here. It is located about 20 min. from all the shops & restaurants in the area, yet it is still away from the hustle & bustle of life. We would highly recommend this BnB to anyone looking to enjoy peaceful surroundings and privacy. If you love animals, there is a bonus waiting for you to discover!! We are so glad we made the decision to stay with them during our sojourn!

    Bill2017-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • Erin and Joe were just wonderful! I was in PA to be with a family member in the hospital. They were helpful and understanding, when in my distraction, disturbed the peace in their beautiful country neighborhood by setting off the alarm trying to retrieve the keys locked in my car. They were as helpful and understanding as they could possibly be. I will return any chance I have and recommend to anyone lucky enough to be in this part of the world, do stay with Erin and Joe.

    Catherine2016-11-12T00:00:00Z
  • Erin was an awesome host. Will try to stay again . Thanks for everything.

    Roger2016-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • Barbi, I and our 2 dogs were traveling from NY to the West Coast. Staying at Erin's place provided with abundance what we needed - large & cozy living room and bedroom, comfortable bed, clean shower, kitchen and necessary utilities. And beyond expected comforts, there was plenty of space for the dogs outside, memorable experiences for us to interact with the horse, mules, pigs and chicken. We were supported with quick responses during the planning, provided with advice on points of interest and thoughtful and hearty communications during the stay. It was a lovely place for all 4 of us, special to each in its own way. Highly recommend!

  • John’s place was great, just like the pictures Will stay again the next time I am in the area.

    LaDonna2017-10-05T00:00:00Z
  • Exactly the space you need for being able to get to other places. For me, it was a place to relax from a multi-day event and sleep and it delivered. Even in a busy area noise wasn't an issue, and parking is less than a block away at worst. John was easy to deal with and helpful. Would stay again.

  • My husband and 7-month-old daughter stayed at this bed and breakfast over a holiday weekend and greatly enjoyed ourselves. The BNB goes by many names - but it is called the Heather Hill Inn as you enter the gates, and you can follow signs from the highway for the Heather Hill Inn to arrive at the right destination. We stayed in a room called Serenity, and there was ample space to set up a pack'n'play. There is a fridge and microwave in the common area of the house. We had a private bathroom, but some rooms in the house have a shared bathroom. Although the listing says breakfast is not included, our hosts serve breakfast at 9am if you are around. We missed it one day due to a busy schedule, but it is delicious. My husband is a coffee addict, and there wasn't an easy way to make coffee or tea without waiting for breakfast. Pros: - Clean rooms, comfortable beds. - Beautifully landscaped property and very quaint house. - Julie and Steve are very flexible... we arrived at 1 am and they left the doors and room unlocked so that we could let ourselves in. - Delicious homemade breakfast (although it was served at 9am, so we missed it one morning). - Swimming pool and walking path on the property. - Spacious bathroom. Fuzzy fresh carpets. Cons: - Water pressure varied in the shower in our room, sometimes turning almost completely off. This made showering less relaxing. - There were definitely some "ongoing projects." (i.e. mattresses in wrappers that blocked access to the screened-in porch). - Sprint cell phone reception was intermittent inside the house. - Breakfast is served pretty late. - We got a bit lost on the way to our room and walked into two other (unoccupied) rooms. Noteworthy items: - The inn is part of a complex of buildings with long-term rentals and the host's home. - It would be lovely in the winter. Our room had its own fireplace, and the common areas had wood burning stoves.

  • This was a beautiful place to just relax. Perfect for a girlfriends get-a-way. The interior was very clean. Beds were comfy. There was a storm right before our arrival that shut down the electric. Joan and Don were very attentive and accommodating to the situation and we never felt compromised by it. Communication was great. We hope to return soon.

  • My wife, mother, and two kids (3 and 18 months) had a wonderful stay. The lake and river and grounds were all just as beautiful as we hoped. The house itself was much nicer than we expected. We were envisioning a rustic cabin but found a beautiful, clean, and spacious home. We look forward to returning!

Comfortable bed, clean sheets, clean towels, a desk and chair, mirrors, and wifi! I love hosting and love having guests here!
The guest room has everything you need and nothing that you don't. All of the furniture and closet spaces are empty, perfect for any length stay.
Quiet, safe, residential neighborhood. The nice thing is that my house is right off of Route 228. Everything you may need, including restaurants, grocery stores, and entertainment, is a 5 to 15 minute drive away. For basic needs, we have most department stores right between Mars and Cranberry. If you are staying to visit Pittsburgh, it's a 30 to 45 minute drive, depending on whether you're going north or south of the city.
  • Nataliya and Paul were wonderful hosts! They live in a quirky, charming little town outside Pittsburgh that is close enough to make commuting into the city feasible. Their house is neat and comfortable and they were both very friendly and accommodating to me. My conversations with them were always pleasant. This was one of the best Airbnb experiences I've had in numerous travels. They are a young, active couple and their energy is contagious. If you are looking for a chill place to stay outside the congestion of Pittsburgh and near the beautiful rolling farmlands of western Pennsylvania, this is it!

  • It was a great stay! We were even invited to enjoy a bon-fire on site. It was convenient to a surprise party down the street we were attending. We would definitely stay again! Paul and Nat were great hosts!

  • Jennifers place was a lovely stay just outside of Cranberry. I had a longer stay due to business and Jennifer was an incredibly accommodating host who did her best to make you feel welcome and at home. The place was clean and the room was very nice. She also allowed use of some of her houses facilities like the kitchen and fridge which was a huge plus for a longer stay. Would definitely be my first place to look to stay if I was ever in the area again.

Felt pampered and loved that our parents who live nearby could come and enjoy sometime with us without having to lift a finger. Craig was s most gracious host!!

  • The house is large and incredibly beautiful. Communication with Craig was quick, easy, and very helpful. A great gourmet kitchen with a nice supermarket nearby. Wonderful indoor and outdoor spaces. Pride of ownership is easy to notice at Craig's house. Bottom line: our party of 8 unanimously said they would visit again!

    Kyle2017-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • Craig's home is BREATHTAKING. Spacious, tucked away in trees, wild turkeys walking around, just a beautiful place to get away! Close to lots of amazing food! The only improvement I can think of would be WiFi! I would absolutely stay here again!

    Victoria2017-05-01T00:00:00Z
  • That shower though! I think everyone in our group tried to have a turn in it. The place was immaculate. Loved how close it was to town, yet felt so tucked away. The amenities were wonderful. 5 stars all the way.

    Kara2017-06-10T00:00:00Z
  • Craig's home is nothing short of stunning. The cabin like feel makes for a cozy environment in the most upscale way. The updated features and amenities really lend for a LUXURIOUS stay. You truly feel like you are in the mountains surrounded by 10 acres of wooded property, meanwhile you are 5 mins from anything you should need (restaurants, grocery shops, etc..) Thank you, Craig for your hospitality. We hope to be back!

    Adrienne2017-06-26T00:00:00Z
  • As other reviews suggest, this place is better than advertised! We've already recommended it to friends and family. I can't imagine a better option in the greater Pittsburgh area for the ultimate in rest and relaxation!

    Doug2017-08-23T00:00:00Z
  • The home is amazing. We are avid world travelers and having stayed in many 5 star resorts, I think we will do Airbnb now! Everything is top of the line and absolutely gorgeous. It was truly a home away from home. We had were all traveling in from Boston and Maryland and rather than getting several hotel rooms, we decided to try this. It was economical by comparison of getting 3 - 4 hotel rooms and we are so glad we made that decision. There is a very long driveway that you could miss of the main road. With family coming in from different areas, we tied balloons to the mailbox as a landmark. The home feels completely secluded per design but you are only a couple of miles away from shopping, restaurants and the main highway. I think this is what I loved most. The home is custom built and every inch reveals great thought including the appliances, the Stickley furniture to even the utensils. It's as beautiful as any home in a magazine, but comfortable as to still feel at home. Although there are 3 bedrooms, we were able to comfortably have 10 guests. There is an additional queen sized mattress and the furniture is very comfortable to sleep on if necessary. We had coffee on the deck and watched the wildlife. We didn't see the wild turkeys, but did see a family of deer wandering around. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need to prepare meals. The bathrooms have toiletries although we always bring our own and the thickest towels! Loved wrapping up in the towels after the amazing soak tub and shower. Craig was very responsive to our questions and responded immediately. We appreciated the book with instructions, directions and tips. That was very helpful. We will definitely stay again.

They are pros to tending to their guests needs and have those special touches like fresh flowers not only in the bedroom but the bath also! The animals out in the barn yard are so much fun. Nada was so nice to let me go with her to pet them. I just wish I had more than one night here.

  • We can't thank Nada and Fred enough for sharing their home with us for one week. Their pictures and descriptions are exactly as described. Most importantly, it was clean, friendly and welcome.

    Robert2014-10-11T00:00:00Z
  • The place was magical and Nada and Fred were wonderful hosts. Everything was top shelf. A real treat for the senses and a totally relaxing couple of days. Serenity and calm. An oasis in Western PA. We will return!

  • Nada and Fred were flexible about our late night arrivals and left the door open for us. They had to leave Saturday morning but left us a delicious breakfast of homemade muffins (I want that recipe), yogurt, granola, fruit, and beverages. On Sunday, they made us eggs from their chickens and bacon along with the rest of the breakfast spread. They were super friendly and gave us our space. The house/farm could not have been more beautiful. They also gave us great advice on where to explore in Pittsburgh.

    Rachel2014-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • Nada and Fred made us feel like we were family coming home to visit. They were incredibly gracious and helpful, making sure we had everything we needed PLUS things we weren't expecting like freshly scrambled free range eggs with feta! The grounds around their charming home were colorful with lilies and other vegetation, expertly designed and cared for - eye candy for sure. What a treat! We ate breakfast outside listening to the chickens and peacocks waltzing to classical music. We could get used to staying with the Sarkins on a regular basis. Theresa & Raoul Harmon

  • Schnoodleberry farm is the perfect place to stay if you're looking for a country getaway! The room has a very cozy, cabin feel to it and the bed is the most comfortable bed I've ever slept on. Out back, there is a nice deck with plentiful seating and candles to light at night. Because it is a small farm, there are several animals in back which were very amusing to see! There are turkeys that will, at times, follow you around, and several chickens and roosters hanging around. The roosters do make some noise in the morning, but we didnt find it to be bothersome. Nada and Fred were wonderful hosts and very accomodating! They gave recommendations on places to visit and restaurants for dinner. The breakfast Fred made wiith farm fresh eggs was absolutely delicious!! This place is also very close to Butler and fairly close to Moraine State Park and McConnells Mills Park - which has absolutely gorgeous hiking! If we're ever back in town, we'll definitely be staying here again!!! Thanks Nada and Fred! - Jess and Caleb

  • Nada and Fred's place was beautiful! Wonderful grounds and home but even more wonderful host! Nada and Fred were so kind and made us feel right at home! They were extremely friendly and so accommodating. Their home was cozy and comfortable and lead out to an incredible backyard! We highly reccomend staying at this wonderful place!

  • Regina and Dan are very gracious hosts. The accommodations are comfortable, clean and neat. I really appreciated the cookies and water provided in my room and the juice, coffee and muffins provided prior to my departure in the morning. They both made me feel very welcome in their home. They also afforded me adequate privacy. I highly recommend them!

  • Regina and Dan could notttt be more wonderful! We arrived to a warm welcome by both them and their adorable doggie, Hector. Their house is tucked away in lovely woods and gardens, and truly gives you an opportunity to take a break from the city to enjoy the beauty of rural PA. Dan and Regina went out of their way to help us get where we needed to go, and had breakfast ready and waiting for us the next morning. We highly recommend a stay in their quaint home, and are grateful to have found them as a resting place for the night!

    Kiersten2017-07-03T00:00:00Z
  • Regina and Dan are wonderful! They took great care of me from the minute I got in. It was obvious that they put a lot of thought into their airbnb hosting - the room had water bottles, travel sized toiletries, a list of all possible questions/answers I could need, and even an apple and a plate of cookies! What a wonderful greeting after a day of travel. They also offered me a glass of wine to unwind, which I gladly accepted. It was great to get to know them - they are a really cool couple. Regina had just been on a medical mission trip in Cuba and Dan is learning Spanish and is an avid gardener. I was there in the winter, but if you are considering a summer visit and enjoy a beautiful garden this would be a great fit for you. They also have a sweet dog named Hector, who made the stay even more special. It was nice to come back to the house from my friend's wedding festivities at the Mansion nearby and be greeted by a happy dog wagging his tail. If you are a dog person like me, this is a huge plus that you just can't get at a hotel! One thing to know is that you will need a car if you are going to stay here. I initially thought I could get away with taking taxis to/from my friend's wedding festivities, but Butler is too quiet a town for this. Should have done my research ahead of time! I ended up going out and renting a car and the rest of the weekend worked out perfectly. Regina and Dan also offered to drive me around if necessary, which was incredibly generous of them and way above and beyond what should really be expected of any host. Everything else was great - nice clean bathroom, great wifi, etc. etc. Muffins, coffee and OJ in the morning were also very much appreciated. Thank you again, Regina and Dan!

    Jane2016-12-04T00:00:00Z
  • Regina and Dan were wonderful hosts. From opening their entire home to preparing morning coffee, the hosts became family very quickly. Regina makes a mean mint chocolate chip cookie being sure to send a few home for my young daughter. I would recommend this location as warm and inviting.

  • We loved this quiet location and it's floral beauty and birdsong. Dan and Regina were very friendly and accommodating.

  • Regina and Dan and Hector were fantastic hosts! Everything went so smoothly and exceeded our expectations. They even provided breakfast and a snack for the road. Hector, the golden doodle, is such a joy and made the stay even more pleasant. Highly recommend.

My place is close to Saxonburg Pa. You’ll love my place because of Game room in basement with Ping Pong table, air Hockey, pool table and fireplace.. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, families (with kids), and furry friends (pets).
  • Stephen is a fantastic host - friendly, funny, interesting and generous. We loved our stay at The Leaning Pine, it was a hidden gem - a tranquil retreat in rural Pennsylvania. I'd highly recommend Stephen as a host and his place is unlike anywhere I've ever found on airbnb.

    Tony2017-06-25T00:00:00Z
  • Stephen was a great host. He coordinated with my friend to set up a surprise for my birthday with decorations and balloons all over the room. The room is quite a steal for its price especially because you get an attached bathroom and a separate living room with it too.

    Gopikaa2017-10-22T00:00:00Z
  • Stephen is an amazing host. He makes you feel at home and pampered if you will let him. The room is nice and private with lots of decorations to give it that homey feel. Any guest would be privileged to sharr Stephen's home if only for a few hours.

The Shared bathroom was well equipped with nice soft towels and all the amenities you need should you forget to bring something. Diane and Doug are wonderful people - warm, kind and they have a great sense of humour! I loved my week long stay and would highly recommend their home but most importantly - I highly recommend Diane and Doug - just lovely, lovely friendly people! I must return!

  • This was absolutely perfect for us! Marc's place is in a great location outside of Pittsburgh and just as described. It is minutes from Wexford and Cranberry and 20 or so from downtown. The guest house is situated in a quiet wooded area that looks out over a huge yard. It is off the main road far enough away so road noise and traffic is not a concern. It was a very quiet stay. The house itself was recently redone and incredibly clean. It is furnished well and includes a full functional kitchen. Everything we used was in working order. There was a stereo ready for hooking up a phone or iPod for music. Marc had a bottle of wine waiting for us and ground coffee to use in the morning. He offered for us to use the fire pit outside if we wanted to sit out at night but unfortunately didn't have time. We used our phones for the few times we needed internet and forgot to ask about Wifi so not sure how good the service is there--no reason to expect it wouldn't be. In the morning we went for a run into North Park which is only about 0.75 miles from the guest house (no need to drive). A perfect place to hit the trails or go to the lake. Marc is very knowledgeable about the area and was willing to give us info. He was very accommodating. Overall this was a great Airbnb experience. I would definitely stay here again.

  • If you like big skies, hills, horses, the outdoors and even camping, check out Dawn's horse farm in PA. She surprised me with a home cooked wholesome Midwest dinner of beef, mashed potatoes and gravy and the sweetest corn you can imagine. Being free to roam the property provided great photo ops. It is a winding route to get in and out of there so do your map reading. Great place to take children.

  • If you are looking for a beautiful country retreat with down to earth honest people, this is the place for you! My only regret is not spending more than one day there. Dawn and Tom are amazing, attentive, and so kind. Their RV was warm, secure, and fully equipped. They have five dogs that are full of personality and adorable. Their horses are well kept and friendly. WiFi signal was great but who needs WiFi with such are beautiful place to explore? We are really very much looking forward to staying with them again!

  • On Friday, Septemb(PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN), my boyfriend, best friend and myself decided at 7pm that we wanted to go watch a UFC event in Pittsburgh. Immediately i reverted to this website to find ourselves a suitable place to stay SO LAST MINUTE. As i was scrolling through the places to stay, my attention was caught by this beautiful farm for an AMAZING PRICE. We happened to be their FIRST air bnb EVER and we couldn't be happier with the outcome. Living in Mississauga, ON meant that our drive that night would take approximately 5 hours. The host and her husband so kindly left out a light for us to see the driveway and made sure everything would be readily available for us to come at 2am remembering that we booked this not even 5hours ago ahah. We were surprised to find them waiting for us at the top of the driveway where we were greeted with dogs, horses and the nicest people i think ive every met in my life. They had a fridge readily available for us fully stocked with drinks, food, and snacks. They insisted we ride the horses on the farm but we had run out of time. We were staying in a camper on the farm that was equipt with 4 bunk beds, a queen bed and 2 fold down beds. On site there was a hay barn, horse riding stadium and acres upon acres of riding land. The farm still has some work to be done but the hosts have newly purchased it and are in the middle of improving all they can as they go. If youre looking for a humble, relaxing, family friendly area, this is where you want to go.. PLEASE make note that there are many dogs and a few cats as well as HORSES. If you aren't an outdoorsy person, this place isn't for you. BUT IT WAS SOOOOO for me. 10/10 will stay again! :)

    Taylor2017-09-17T00:00:00Z

Modern, clean, one-level home in the heart of bustling Cranberry Township, PA! Located only 20 minutes from "dahntahn". You'll get it later.. Everything is provided for you! There are 2 queen sized beds, easily accommodating 4. Also, 2 large couches are available if you need to sleep 6 total. There is a small fee for >4 guests. Just ask me any questions you may have!
Always clean. Updated. A cozy setting with comfortable furniture. The street is one of the quietest in all of cranberry township, yet only a walking distance to the major shopping malls and restaurants! The location cannot be beat! Enjoy the two weeping willows in the back yard and take in the sun on the back patio!
The neighborhood is quiet, safe, and conveniently located. There is a large 3 acre field across the street for your use, as the township owns the grounds. The famous Connoquenessing Creek runs through the field mentioned above! The location cannot be beat. You are located in the closest housing plan to the center of Cranberry Township!
  • Gary's place was great for us. Very clean and updated. He was still working on some renovations, so I am sure future guests will have an even better experience. Gary was a great host!

  • Gary's home is nice and clean with comfortable accommodations. The only negative comment I had from my family is the small bathroom, but we made it work just fine!

  • We had the most comfortable stay at Gary's home and it was the perfect place to us to stay at a reasonable price. Gary's home is absolutely gorgeous, beautifully decorated and very clean! It is located in Pittsburgh suburbs that has easy access to eatries, reataurants, malls and many other great places in Pittsburgh. We felt safe and comfortable during out stay. His home offerred everything we needed, including very comfortable beds! I highly recommend anyone to stay at Gary's home. I will definitely return for my next visit to Pittsburgh. Thank you!!
