  • We really enjoyed our stay at the studio- super cute space, very comfortable with everything we needed including a complete kitchen. The location is also very convenient, only a few blocks from Taos Plaza. Ken was a great host who gave us our privacy while also being available in case we needed anything. Highly recommended!

  • Lovely stay in a very cute adobe studio. For a studio I'd say it was quite spacious. The decor was really (URL HIDDEN) very obvious they care about this space. It's in a quieter part of town but still within strolling distance to the plaza. Ken was extremely prompt in returning my inquiries and was flexible when I asked him about some last minute changes. I can't wait to go back!

    Bailey2015-05-12T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent fast communication, beautiful place, easy access to everything. Highly recommend it :)

    Lucia2015-06-01T00:00:00Z
  • Nice Location! We were able to walk to the plaza from this quiet and rustic studio. We were welcomed and were even given suggestions as to what to do while we were there. Thanks!

  • We had a wonderful stay in this Taos, right of the plaza, studio. Excellent location and cozy. Great set up for two, with kitchen. Would stay here again.

    Matthew2015-08-31T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at Ken's casita was wonderful! It is a lovely little place in a great location that felt like home away from home! This is our new favorite place to stay during our visits to Taos! Likewise, Ken was very accommodating with our arrival time and he went above and beyond to make sure that we were taken care of. Truly an exceptional experience!

Enjoy this cozy room in a large, unique adobe house on 10 acres with its secluded but perfectly situated location just a few miles north of Taos Plaza. A second 2 person room is available through Airbnb if your group requires more space. Please inquire!
The room is part of a 3000 square foot classic old adobe with 30" thick walls. The house was originally built in the early 1900's and features locally milled pine wood floors and counter tops, soft mud plaster with latilla and split cedar ceilings. It sits on 10 acres with incredible unobstructed views of Taos Mountain. It has mature cottonwoods, dozens of (somewhat feral) fruit trees and an acequia (irrigation stream) along its eastern border. The large room (roughly 350 square feet) features wonderful radiant heat from a Kuma oil stove, a couch, a club chair, Dish Network and HDTV (Netflix, HBO and 250+ channels, plus over 200 recorded HD movies), and somewhat slow (1.5mbs) wireless internet. The queen sized bed has a feather comforter with duvet, feather pillows, (neck and memory foam pillows are also available) premium sheets, wool blankets and a mattress pad heater (warm up the sheets before you go to bed!) for extra coziness. There is a small desk with pens, pencils and notepads and a flashlight in case of emergencies. There is an iron inside the wardrobe and an ironing board next to the wardrobe. Lastly, there is an additional 2 person bedroom (king sized bed) that can be booked through AirBnB if you are looking for more space. Enjoy!
The house is located off a paved road but is a 1.5 miles from the nearest grocery stores (Cid's is a wonderful locally owned natural food grocery store similar to Whole Foods) and restaurants. Its about a 45 minute walk into town and a 25 minute drive to Taos Ski Valley. Other places to check out: Coffee: World Cup Grocery Stores: Cid's Food Market, Taos Market, Smiths Restaurants: Dinner: El Meze, The Love Apple, Orlandos, Parcht. Lunch/Breakfast: Taos Diner, Gutiz, Manzanita Market, Koko
  • We fell completely in love with Chris's beautiful adobe home. It's incredibly charming and comfortable and set in a stunning peaceful location. Chris was super helpful and came over specially to check that we were settled in and had all we needed. Our only regret was that we only had one night - to us Chris's place was easily the highlight of our time in Taos. The photos don't anywhere near do it justice, it's just gorgeous.

    Jandra2016-04-10T00:00:00Z
  • Chris is a very gracious host and the house and guest room are even better than described. The location is great, close to both town and the ski valley. Looking forward to coming back to taos and staying in Chris's house again.

    Nikolaos2016-04-05T00:00:00Z
  • Chris' place was fantastic! It was private and quiet and really comfortable! I loved the cool Adobe style of the house. I did not have the pleasure of meeting my host but enjoyed Billy's company immensely.

    Michelle2016-06-28T00:00:00Z
  • If you're looking for a magical place to stay near Taos, this is it! The land is both remote and private but also convenient to downtown. Chris was not there when I stayed due to work, but was incredibly helpful, kind, and responsive. I enjoyed sipping tea on the hammock overlooking the mountain, and can't wait to find a reason to come back! The land and house are too cute to put into words, and everything was exceptionally clean. Book here!

    Miranda2016-06-15T00:00:00Z
  • I've stayed at Chris's wonderful home earlier, and it was great to be back this time. Chris is a considerate and very supportive host, helpful in every way. The home and property are inspirational, and Billy the cat is a loving companion. Thanks, Chris!

    Howard2016-12-25T00:00:00Z
  • This place is amazing!! It’s so close to the heart town yet off the beaten path enough that it feels totally secluded. The house was beuatiful. Tons of natural light and very clean. The room has a comfortable bed, WiFi, TV, small heater, couch, and more. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I’ll be back!

    Max2017-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • Loved the NM charm of the room at Chris' home. Cozy gas heater provided warmth and while the accommodations were rustic, they were also luxurious. Quiet and amazingly relaxing hone. The bed was incredibly comfortable with truly luxury linens. Kitchen was well equipped again with a luxury touch. Bathroom was shared and the entrance a bit funky, but it was clean and beautiful. Front loading washer was available which was good for us skiers. Chris himself was warm and welcoming lovely being. If you are looking for NM charm and peace and quiet, you've found a room. Billy the big black cat was awesome company without being pushy.

    Leena2016-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • The ideal Airbnb experience. Taos is great but the accommodation itself is worthy of a trip. The place has character, beautiful views and modern comforts. It feels secluded but is only a few minutes drive from town center. Very memorable experience. Also Chris is a very nice guy.

The Taos Inn is a must - LIVE music every night See: (URL HIDDEN) Visit: Taos Pueblo - sign up for the tour - tip generously. Tour guides work for tips only. 203 Fine Art is my favorite gallery. Check out: Le Doux Street and the Harwood Museum. Best Boutiques: Steppin' Out on Bent Street & Substance on Doña Luz Street For Groceries: Walk to Cid's Food Market Northside Health & Fitness is just down the road. Enjoy the salt water pool, hot tub, gym, massage etc. Ski Valley Road has some beautiful hikes, I like Italianos this time of year. See: (URL HIDDEN) P.S. If you have time, take the new road to Ojo Caliente Mineral Springs - it's only 45 minutes. Safe Travels and enjoy! :)
  • The neighborhood felt safe and the photos accurately portrayed the living quarters. Jessica's recommendations were dead on. I wish I would have ventured out to the Cid's Grocery Store a lot sooner. I grabbed a breakfast burrito and coffee on the way out of town and it was AWESOME.

    Amber2015-09-30T00:00:00Z
  • The Sister Casita is as charming as shown in the pictures. It's a duplex with another rental in a good neighborhood. I was there for a matter of hours though, as while making dinner I noticed many spiders. The more I looked the more I found, including black widow and brown recluse. I let my host know and she said she'd send someone to take care of it; she also offered the other side of the duplex to me instead. Two hours later no one had arrived, and I'd killed no less than 15 spiders. I was not comfortable that a person coming over so late could get rid of all the spiders since I'd seen so many, or that the adjacent property wouldn't have the same situation. I didn't know if the person coming over was a housecleaner or exterminator or what. My skin was crawling and I left for a hotel. I requested a partial refund of my 2 booked nights; Airbnb felt enough had been done to make it right and would not refund any portion. I lost all the money I put down on the place -- a real disappointment. I'm sure this is a lovely place to stay once this problem is addressed.

    Jennifer2014-11-04T00:00:00Z
  • What a great place!!! We booked a few days during the Taos Solar festival. It was a very comfortable place to return to after hiking the gorge and then seeing a concert. It was clean and had plenty of space. We walked to town rather than drive and found it perfectly fine to leave the car behind! I will definitely stay here again!

    Julia2013-06-08T00:00:00Z
  • Love love love everything about our stay. It was quiet, great location, and the last minute acceptance of our reservation was much appreciated. We arrived in the late afternoon and utilized the full kitchen, back porch and took up our host on numerous recommendations provided. The galleries were our favorite along with the Taos Inn for live music. The Casita was clean and super cozy. We'd stay there again if in Taos. Oh, and the best grocery store is across the street!

    Stephani2015-10-30T00:00:00Z
  • Sister Casita was a great property and next time we are in Taos this will be our first inquiry. Great property in a great location. Dog-friendly is a great perk, plus we enjoyed the outdoor area with a hammock and patio furniture. The area/neighborhood is very quiet - which is what we were looking for. All the amenities worked great and the WiFi was super fast. Thanks!!

    Brandon2015-09-27T00:00:00Z

Good day! Thanks for checking out our funky, vibrant, slightly enlightening and entirely comfortable Casita de la Paulita. This humble adobe stays grounded between the steep and magical slopes of Taos Ski Valley and the eccentric's haven community of Taos.
You will have this wonderful space all to yourself! It is located across the driveway from the main house.
Casita de la Paulita is located very near Paseo de Pueblo Norte. We are one mile from Cid's Organic Grocery Store and Taos Market. Both are excellent sources of delicious food. The Casita is also located near Elevation Coffee, Orlando's New Mexican Cafe, and the Taos Ale House. All are very tasty and talented at what they do best.
  • Paul's casita is perfect! Such a unique space that is large, comfortable and stocked with all you could need (even a blender!). Located just steps off the beaten path it's perfect for accessing Taos without being smack in the middle of busy town. Paul offers a warm welcome and assistance with everything from where to eat to general casita questions. There is even a bottle of wine waiting for your arrival!

    Lindsay2017-09-24T00:00:00Z
  • Don't be put off by the out-of-the-ordinary location. Paul's place is funky and fun. Cozy, charming, and quirky.

    Marjorie2017-10-29T00:00:00Z
  • Paul's casita was clean, quirky, and comfortable. And Paul himself was a load of fun. Before we arrived, Paul communicated well and gave us very clear directions to the casita. When we pulled into the driveway, he happened to be in his yard. Within just a couple of minutes, we were joking around, he offered us some mezcal (which was delicious), and told us about a music festival currently going on in town. The casita itself is an excellent example of a rustic casita full of character. The floor is of stone, the shower has hand-done tile, the living room is comfortably furnished, and the kitchen looks functional (alhtough we didn't get to use it). We'd definitely stay here again!

    Rob2017-09-10T00:00:00Z
  • What a cozy little casita in the heart of El Prado! Great location, just before Taos and outside of its bubble. Amazing value and very pet friendly. Loved it!

    Lucas2017-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • Had a wonderful stay in Taos at this tucked away casita! We arrived to a bottle of wine which was a great start to our day. The shower was fabulous! Literally a 5 minute drive to downtown! Our pups had a great stay and the backyard area was very convenient for them!

    robert2017-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • We were two friends traveling with a dog and a toddler and this was a great pick for us. I used to live in Taos so knew this would be a great location, and can confidently say that the accommodation style was very Taoseno, and a great value for the money. There was even a fenced in small yard for the wee ones to run around.

Welcome to our mountain loft. We imagine you are skiers or beauty lovers if you have chosen Taos and this aparment. Designer details and a fresh and lovely brand-new spot are yours to enjoy. Great big yard for kicking the ball and enjoying the view.
There are narrow stairs and a loft with a barrier (dont wander off it in the night!) Still, not ideal for small children. There is a propane stovetop and a small fridge. We leave a few beers for your enjoyment as well as 1/2 and 1/2 and coffee. The space is plenty. It is well-lit, private, and the views are amazing.
It looks a lot like Taos. It is culturally mixed. Mansions will exist next to trailer homes. Once you get to the space, you will appreciate the surrounding pastures, the horses, the cows, the stellar view of the mountain.
  • Super cute little loft! Very close to town and scenic views. It was a great spot for a weekend getaway!

    Samantha2017-08-20T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I stayed here during our weekend trip to Taos. It was such a great spot in El Prado, mere minutes from downtown Taos (we actually walked to dinner one of the nights). We drove down a super bumpy rural road to get to the property, which included the main home, the awesome get-away apartment, and the fabulous garage turned studio out-building, with the hot tub accessible, but more in the backyard of the main home. We had an absolutely lovely stay, the homeowners were such wonderful people, and the hot tub was super relaxing. The architecture, the art, the aesthetic were all positively ideal for a couple looking for an extra chill, super modern, culturally lush experience. Five stars all the way.

  • Wow! This is the best airbnb I have been to. Great location. Minutes away from great food, coffee and trails. If you like design get ready to take notes. Hospitality? Beers and water on arrival, comfy bed, amazing books. Hosts are very generous while also respecting your private time. I'd love to go back.

The bed is a comfortable King and it has fold out sofa and chairs to accommodate more guest. The area is secluded on the north side of Taos, close to all the main attractions. The hosts are very accommodating and very responsive. This was a great place to stay.

Beautiful historic Taos Adobe that sits on 1.5 acres, fully renovated in 2017. This adobe has significant charm and character, during the renovation the original adobe walls and ceilings were restored to original from the turn of the 20th century. Located 5 minutes from downtown Taos, 10 minutes from hiking and trout fishing & 25 minutes from skiing. 3 bedrooms including 2 queen beds & 4 twin beds. Spacious living room and fully renovated modern kitchen.
This historic adobe is thought to be over 150 years old, the land has been in our family since the mid 1700s. We hope you enjoy your stay as much as our family has for centuries. The renovations that were completed preserved the historic charm while providing a much need update. The ceilings and the adobe walls are original. The renovation was a complete gut rehab, including the bathroom, kitchen, and adding on a little extra space for your comfort. The house sits on an 1.5 arces of land, and is within minutes to all of the attractions Taos county has to offer. The house has an outside BBQ grill, a wood fire pit, and outdoor seating with a table.
This charming adobe is centrally located, yet secluded enough for you to feel like you are on a retreat. The adobe is located 5 minutes from Historic Taos Plaza, 10 Minutes from Arroyo Secco, 10 Minutes from hiking and trout fishing, and 25 minutes from Taos Ski Area. When you open the back door, you can see the breathtaking views of Taos Moutain.

Beautiful, comfortable, on lush property with ponds, wild life, shade trees and great views of Taos Mountain. Wifi available, no TV or radio. Perfect retreat haven, peaceful yet close to town. Perfect for one, pleasant squish for two. Two twin beds.
The setting is gorgeous, four and a half acres of carefully stewarded permaculture property, two ponds, shade, a greenhouse and vegetable beds. The Casita has a small kitchen area with everything you need to make your own meals. The bathroom has a shower. There are two twin beds, one pulls out from under the other and pops up to the same height. The Casita is about a 7 minute drive from Taos Plaza.
I am at the end of an unpaved road in a lush, very peaceful haven, yet close to town, to the best health food shop, a bank and the main post office. It's about 7 minutes drive to Taos Plaza.
  • Paule was delightful. Her casita was the same. It exceeded my expectations. Perfect for one person or two people that really like each other. It is just outside of Taos and it is picturesque. I don't know why anyone would want to stay in a hotel on the main drag when they can have a lovely casita. Thanks SO much Paule. I hope our paths cross again.

    Tom2015-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • I had wonderful seat at Paule's Casita. It is a gorgeous space and the grounds are really nice. I particularly appreciated that it was very close to the center of Taos but at the same time felt "Out of town". Paule was very helpful and the casita had everything one could think of for a good experience. I highly recommend,

  • This place is superb. The pictures don't do it justice. It's very obvious that Paule aims to keep her guest satisfied with lots of little extras wherever you look. Like fresh fruit, teas and coffee and nice shampoos ext... The craftsmanship is top notch too. Can't say enough good stuff about the place.

    Sterling2017-10-03T00:00:00Z
  • The environment is so beautiful. The ponds, the ducks who greeted me every morning, the beautiful sky at night were so conducive to rest and revival. The casita is so inviting, warm and had everything one could need. Paule is a lovely lady and a great hostess. I highly recommend this place.

    Marguerite2017-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • Charming host. Delightful stay. Satisfied customer.

    Mark2017-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • The casita itself is fabulous: modern adobe construction, nicely decorated and lots of light (southern exposure, windows on three sides and a skylight). It's size was perfect for my husband and me: cozy but not too small. The trundle bed was comfortable and worked well. The casita and patio face beautiful ponds, tall trees and an oasis environment…all of which you can walk and sit in. If you walk around the property, you will also get a great view of the mountains. Paule is a warm and inviting host. All in all, a wonderful experience. We hope to go back.

  • This Pueblo style home is great, and it really allows you to immerse yourself in Taos. I can't recommend this place enough. You have your own private suite with exterior access. I never had to bother the owners and I could come and go as I pleased. The cost is great as well. I will stay here again if I come back to Toas. The location is great for skiing. It's only about 25-30 minutes to the slopes and 15 into town. Thanks!

    Matt2017-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • Margaret's place is great and just as described in the listing. The room had it's own entrance/exit, so it was very convenient for us. The place was very clean and had towels, toiletries, TV, parking, heated floor, coffee, extra blankets- pretty much anything that you would need on a trip. She responded to my messages in a very timely manner. The location is great and it is very close to the town. The view from the house, including our room was phenomenal. Highly recommend her place.

BEST location in Taos, perfectly set between town and the Ski Valley. Avoid all midtown traffic to and from all that Taos has to offer. Listen to the coyotes and gaze at the stars, minutes from the plaza. Come retreat in this spacious, beautiful 1 bedroom casita with private driveway and private backyard set in front of the majestic Pueblo Peak in Taos. Amazing views of the Sangre de Cristo mountains right outside your door. Kiva Fireplace, bathtub, WIFI, fully equipped kitchen. We welcome you!
What makes this space special is its location in front of the mountains and the close proximity to all the best of Taos. You can avoid all in-town traffic and be in the Ski Valley or Plaza in no time. The Ski valley shuttle picks up 5 minutes from the casita. See world famous music at both Ktaos Solar Center and Taos Mesa Brewery- both 5 minutes away. The plaza is a 7 minute drive down. The Casita has a private driveway and front porch with stunning views of both Pueblo Peak and beyond. It is ideal for both short jaunts and longer stays. Our neighborhood gets the best sunrise and sunset views. Hawks, Owls, and Kestrels abound. A Kiva fireplace, radiant floor heating, and cozy furnishings make hanging out at home a must. A new gas range and ample prep space round out a fully equipped kitchen. There plug in speakers for music listening. The bedroom has queen bed and there is a super comfortable memory foam queen pull out floor bed for the main room. Washer and dryer. There is also a large storage room to for skis/equipment and walk-in closets for extra storage. The private backyard is a great spot to enjoy morning tea or coffee. The front patio offers incredible mountain and sunset gazing.
We love our neighborhood and feel so lucky to call it home. The Blueberry Hill Neighborhood sits on a small mesa set against the majestic Taos Mountain (Pueblo Peak). We are lucky to have views of both the sunrise and sunset in a friendly, beautiful spot. 360 degree views of all of Taos County abound. Evening sunset walks are a must. Easy access to Taos restaurants, galleries, brew pubs and museums as well as hiking trails and the ski valley. A truly centrally located casita in Taos County with full access right outside your door.
  • Michelle’s place was in a lovely area of Taos, and quick drive into town. The Airbnb was very clean and comfortable with a beautiful Kiva fireplace in the living room. The casita is also tastefully decorated! I found the kitchen to be well-equipped with provided coffee and teas, which I feel is a thoughtful touch. I highly recommend Michelle’s casita on Blueberry Hill with lovely vistas as I hope to stay there again! Christine M., Albuquerque

  • I can't recommend this Airbnb enough--the best one I have ever stayed in!! Some street signs were down, so Michelle met us and led us to our lovely new home. Everything was perfect--cleanliness, location, linens, furniture, decorations, kitchen/washer/dryer, fresh flowers........and the perfect host!!

  • TL:DR - If every AirBnB was this way, I'd never stay in a hotel ever again. I wish I could give her 6 stars but I can only give 5. My wife and I stayed here on our honeymoon. We absolutely loved the space. Location (+1 Star) Taos, NM is a beautiful little village up in the mountains, rich with history, views, and shopping. All of these things can lead to crowds and traffic. However, this space is up on an area called "Blueberry Hill". It's just out of the way enough to avoid the traffic, crowds, and buzz, but it's close enough that you are 5 mins from everything in the village. Hospitality (+2 Stars) Michelle was very sweet and greeted us as we arrived. She offered to give us tips and directions on the nearby roads and attractions, but when I mentioned we were honeymooners and more independant, she didn't press the offer. Inside, the table was laid out with magazines, books, and brochures for the local attractions and resturaunts. Firewood was brought to our porch every day, and all of the supplies we would need for laundry were readily availible. When we had filled the trash bags, we simply left them on the porch and they disappeared silently and switfly. I think She would be a great host for someone who wanted to learn about the area from a local. It was obvious she was excited that people were getting to experience her town for the first time. Amenities (+1 Stars) Everything we needed was ready and laid out neatly. The kitchen was fully stocked with pots, pans, knives, dishes, even a can opener and decorker. The laundry room had soap, supplies for the restroom, and trash bags. the space has a ton of closet space if you are considering an extended stay. The internet was noticably slow and not generally reliable, but that is very normal for the location. The real star of the amenities is the fireplace. It's an adorable thing built right into the house, and the cover fit so perfectly you forget it's there. When the night gets cold (and believe me it does) the fireplace becomes the center of the home, and it does a great job lighting and heating the house. Cleanliness (+1 Stars) Everything was very clean when we arrived. The sheets looked like they had been washed that morning, and the kitchen was spotless. There isn't much to say here, but cleanliness is a pretty basic expectation, and it was delivered splendidly. Responsiveness (+1 Stars) For me, this was the icing on the cake. Michelle was responding to us within minutes, and was very good at getting back to us. As an example, I mentioned we were running low on firewood and toilet paper the evening of our final night. Within 20 minutes, a crate appeared on our porch with firewood and toilet paper.

  • The casa was clean, beautiful view you cannot get from a hotel or anywhere in town. Very safe feel, outside of town. Sweet host family that went above & beyond to make our stay the most comfortable!

    Josh Grabbe2017-10-18T00:00:00Z
  • What a clean, quiet and breathtaking place to stay. This casita is located on a residential mesa outside of town and humbly faces Taos mountain. It is in close driving distance to fantastic places like the Taos Pueblo & the Pow Wow Grounds, Overland Ranch (home of the Sheepskin Co. and Farmhouse Cafe & Bakery), the Rio Grand Gorge Bridge, Mesa Brewing mothership, KTAOS radio station & solar center, and the little quaint town of Arroyo Seco. The casita has privacy and it’s own entrance from the main house. The kitchen is perfect for preparing meals and there’s even a laundry room with full size washer & drier (not the tiny compact kind that most small rentals typically have). The hosts were attentive at answering our questions but also remained private. This truly is a pleasant place to stay with lots of space, natural light & stunning views.

Architecturally unique, this 3 bedroom, 3 bath home is located in the historic area of Taos. • Great central location close to the plaza, walking distance from shops and restaurants, yet quiet. We really enjoyed relaxing in the front porch area in the afternoon.

  • We really enjoyed this visit to Taos. The house has ample space for more than four people, it is a 10-15 minute walk from the center of town. Check in and out was efficient and easy. Thanks for a great stay! We'll be back soon!

  • This rental is perfect in just about every way. It offers 3 separate spaces or you can open them all up to one another as we did. Beautifully appointed, the photos don't do it justice. They have thought of everything! Walking distance to the plaza and on the right side of town for exploring Carson National Forest or the Taos Ski Valley. This is the most seamless and easy rental that I've stayed in with my family. Highly recommended!

Our place is directly across the street from the Love Apple and within walking distance to half a dozen restaurants and coffee shops and 2 organic markets. Our newly renovated 150 year old adobe is filled with charm from three foot wide adobe walls to professional chef range to modern vintage bathrooms, luxury linens, tempurpedic beds, down comforters, duvet covers, 100 year old vintage bed frames and many other antiques and one of a kind pieces of furniture. Woodstove and full laundry too!
  • Wonderful freshly renovated home. It was a clean and comfortable place to spend a few nights and explore the area. Close to everything we wanted and tons to see and explore.

    Justin2017-01-11T00:00:00Z
  • Great location for getting into Taos or up to the sky valley. Close to highway but thick adobe walls keep noise level way down. Outside fire quite enjoyable. Good stay. Gordon

    Gordon2017-03-23T00:00:00Z
  • This is an absolutely stunning Taos home. It is a painstakingly renovated original adobe home, with two-foot thick walls to keep out drafts and noise. It is spacious enough for two couples with two children. It is also a one minute walk to our favorite Taos restaurant, the Love Apple, and a less than 5 minute walk to coffee shops, markets, and other necessaries. The home had kids' toys, kid sized chairs, and even a high chair. Kitchen was fully stocked and equipped. The bedrooms are extremely comfortable and well furnished. A+!

    Christina2016-11-26T00:00:00Z
  • Cozy, upgraded/remodeled adobe with thoughtful touches. I particularly loved the bathtub, which may inspire some remodeling of my own home! Also, I appreciated the communication via text to my question. Very comfortable, clean, and had everything we needed.

  • Staying at Rhea's place was great. Central and a quick walk to some favorite restaurants of mine, Gutiz, Love Apple, and Guadalajara Grill (one of the best Mexican-Jaliscan restaurants.) Place well well heated, great wifi, very clean, and had a great kitchen.

Located in a historic neighborhood 5 blocks from the Plaza, this newly built, rustic cottage is surrounded by an organic garden. Includes organic toiletries and breakfast supplies and a shared hot tub. Compost toilet and hot shower are separate from dwelling. Sunbathe on the deck overlooking the garden or relax in the brand new hot tub. Walk 5 blocks for food, shops, museums or an Ashram. Drive 10 minutes to the Taos Pueblo or 30 to the Ski Valley. Best for those who appreciate the outdoors.
Excellent for guests who appreciate fresh air, organic food and walking access to the town center. The lofted bed is accessed by ladder and can sleep 2 adults. The lower bed doubles as a couch and can sleep one adult or two small kids. A shared hot tub is located in a nearby yard about 300 feet from the casita.
Lush, historic neighborhood, located at the center of town, 5 blocks from the Taos Plaza. The neighborhood is safe and very quiet with adobe homes set among green fields and grazing cattle. Sunset Park and the library are located a short walk from the casita.

  • We stayed just one night and got in late so it was hard to find at night. It was much more rustic than we expected, but overall a good experience. It made for an interesting adventure. We like how close to the plaza it was located.

  • For the younger set interested in staying at a green location Lovely garden and creative small house Might be cold in winter and crossing a snowy garden to get to the composting commode might be an issue Loft bed with a ladder so must be spry! Host is lovely with a great social consciousness that our world needs!

  • Dee's casita was very nice. Staying here enhanced our time in Taos. The bed was comfortable, kitchen was well stocked for breakfast, and everything we needed was provided. The casita is located in a beautiful garden with a running stream that adds to the ambiance. The building is creative and well crafted. The property provides a great combination of modern style with a little farmhouse feel. The patio area was particularly nice in the morning while eating breakfast. It exceeded my expectations compared to my previous AirBNB experiences. When considering your stay here it will be helpful to know that the windows and door do not have coverings to provide privacy while inside. The nearby compost toilet and shower also have clear glass that lack privacy. The property is fairly secluded but there are neighbors.

There are many houses in Taos for visitors to choose from, but this one stands out for it's authenticity and charm. Built by men from the Taos Pueblo in the 1940's for the artist Charles H. Reynolds and his wife Ruth, it is unique and very lovely.
This home is furnished with many of the original antiques, and the walls are hung with paintings by the Taos artist Charles H. Reynolds and others. You will feel like you have stepped back in time, surrounded by the thick adobe walls and hand carved beams in the ceilings. The fireplace crackles with pinion wood fires in the winter, scenting the air with it's fragrance. The home is quite spacious, about 1300 square feet.
Brook Street is one of the older, quieter neighborhoods in Taos. You can easily walk to the restaurants and galleries, or to Kit Carson Park and Cid's Market.
  • We liked the place, great location, nice neighborhood, walkable.

    Victor2016-06-11T00:00:00Z
  • This home was even better than the listing. The pictures made it look smaller than it actually is. The location was fantastic, giving us an easy walk to the plaza, shops, restaurants, etc. The home itself was beautiful and a quintessential Taos house. It was clean and had everything we needed to feel comfortable. Next time we travel to Taos, we'll be looking for this listing.

    Casey2016-08-09T00:00:00Z
  • We spent 4 nights in Taos and were so fortunate to find the charming historic home. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the house was perfect for our needs. We will definitely stay with Laura again as she is a warm and accommodating host.

    Luella2015-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • Laura was the best hostess and her home incredible. She and the home made our stay incredibly special and I can't wait to go back. the home was beautiful and completely equipped. I cannot say enough about her welcoming us into her home - so full of art, history and architecture that is so much a part of the Taos experience. Although Taos has much to offer, see and taste I would have been happy to stay in this home and relax. Laura also had great suggestions for food and things to be sure and see while we were there. Truly a unique and wonder full experience to stay there. Thank you Laura!

    Jan2015-10-19T00:00:00Z
  • Laura was responsive, kind, and easy to work with. The house is so lovely - private and secluded yet so easy to get to everything around downtown Taos by foot. The private yard was a treat too.

    Kevin2017-06-24T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful gem located in walking distance to all of downtown Taos. A beautiful traditional adobe house with enclose courtyard. We saw a falling star streak across the sky as we relaxed in the courtyard. More than enough room for family with fully stocked kitchen. The pictures do not do it justice. The smell of burning piñon wood just added to the southwestern ambiance. Laura was quick to respond to our needs. We will be staying here for our next trip to Taos.........can't wait!

    Sid2016-10-17T00:00:00Z
  • Laura was very accommodating and helpful during our stay. The house was charming and very comfortable. The bed was also comfortable, which is important to me. The house has plenty of room and the art on the walls is impressive and interesting. We had young skiers as neighbors but we could hardly tell they were there. The backyard and front courtyard were perfect for our dog to play in and take care of her other business. All in all, the house was perfect for us.

    Robert2016-01-08T00:00:00Z
  • During our entire time at this home we kept saying -"We would love to just stay and live in this place forever". If you want a truly genuine experience of what historic Taos was like in the early 1900s and the flavor of the artist (Charles Reynolds) that lived there this is the place. From the massive wood beams in the ceiling to the thick adobe walls and the wonderful original art work on the walls you get a real sense of an historic artist's home. The location is great - easy short walk or drive to the Taos central plaza and museums and galleries. There was a wonderful full working kitchen and a delightful southwest tiled bathroom. Plenty of places to curl up and read a good book. And... it was so quite - a good place for a real retreat from the chaos of the outside world. We plan on returning for an extended stay.

  • Jessica, for being in Hawaii, is very prompt to assist when needed. She has someone close by if something needed to be addressed regarding the home. Casa Rio is right behind the carwash and tucked back off of upper ranchitos, which creates a nice quite stay. The location is perfect for the skier enthusiast. The place is darling, the yard was perfect to let my dog out in the morning and evening. There is a great dog park, sunset park, 5 minutes away. The home is warm and welcoming and needs a little TLC. We cooked breakfast and dinner every day and night, Cids grocery health market is 2 minutes away. The folks at Video Casa, walking distance from the home, were so congenial and helpful. So after a long day of great skiing we ate our delicious meal watching some intriguing movie. Thanks Jessica for a memorable time and enjoyable stay!

The Land of Enchantment! Come and Enjoy!
  • We had a very relaxing stay in this beautiful adobe home. It stayed cool during the hot early summer days we visited. No air conditioning needed. It was close to many amenities. Walk to restaurants. We heard crickets and coyotes at night. Mary and Dave made sure we had everything we needed. We stayed with our almost 3 year old and he loved exploring the yard. Highly recommend staying here.

  • It's a great experience staying in Mary's beautiful Adobe house. It is so dedicatedly decorated, every corner of the house is art. And Mary is very nice and generous. She stayed up late the night we arrived in case we got lost, and actually we did and Dave came to pick us up at 12pm which is so nice! And she offered us good breakfast and also gave us good suggestion where to go in Taos. I wish I could come back again.

  • We had a great time in Taos. The location is nice and close to the square with lots of close restaurants. Mary provided coffee and breakfast fixings for the first AM. We had a great time sitting around the backyard fire pit after a day of mountain biking.

  • Casa Corazon is a charming adobe home with lovely tile details. We loved the fireplace in the living area which made for cozy evenings. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed. Mary anticipated our questions and her text communications were on target. We had a wonderful stay and highly recommend Casa Corazon.

    Marjorie2017-09-24T00:00:00Z
  • Mary's house is a pleasant, nicely decorated home with a well-outfitted kitchen. It is close to an excellent high-end grocery store and makes a good base for exploring Taos' museums, restaurants and shops as well as hiking in the near-by mountains. We enjoyed our second stay and our visit to the Taos wool festival. Mary is very kind and responds rapidly to texts. We hope to come back to her house next fall!

  • Such a sweet place to stay for a couple. Possibly the most adorable use of 500 sq ft ever. Proximity to the center of Taos and all it has to offer is terrific. Everything one needs or wants is under the roof of the little cottage from a fully equipped kitchen to a nicely appointed bathroom. There's a fireplace for ambiance and a private patio for early morning coffee or afternoon libations. Ben is responsive to any questions and there is easy access to internet and simple check in and check out. Highly recommend.

  • Ben's place was perfect for my recent extended stay in Taos. The location is perfect with shops, restaurants and the plaza all within walking distance and the cottage was well appointed with everything I needed. The front garden area was a lovely bonus and perfect for outside dining. I would highly recommend staying here for your next trip to Taos.

  • Our stay at Taos Little Cottage was our favorite Airbnb experience to date! The cottage is very cozy and Ben and his wife made sure we had everything we needed for our stay. The location is walking distance to the Main Street and yet it still felt very private. We highly recommend this place for anyone considering a trip to Taos!

  • Maura's little cozy apartment in El Prado was perfect for our trip to Taos. Located perfectly between Taos and Taos Ski Valley, it's close to anything you'd want to do in the beautiful New Mexico mountains including one of the most delicious restaurant's we've been to: The Love Apple. Maura was an extraordinary host, going so far as to leave her New Year's Eve dinner early to help us out! The place is sweet and lovely with fantastic views. Couldn't have asked for a better stay.

    Lauren2017-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • :) We really enjoyed our stay at Maura's place! The location of her home is about 5-10 minutes away from the business of town - which we appreciated because it was quiet and we could sit outside on her patio area and literally see the whole expanse of Taos in all directions. The sunsets were beautiful and the scenery and quietness made for a "retreat-like" feel and a peaceful stay. We really enjoyed the accommodations - we appreciated the space to move about and having a small kitchen/kitchenette space (with all of the needed tools) was a great help! My friend slept well in the bed and I slept well on the sleeper sofa (a nice sofa bed - maybe it was a Posture-Pedic/Temper-Pedic?). Maura was great with all communication efforts and she has such a wonderful demeanor. The drive to see the Rio Grande Gorge bridge was about 10 minutes away and we weren't far from some great restaurants (we tried Orlando's) and grocery stores (Sid's) and from town. We slept with the windows open at night and the cool evening air was sufficient for keeping these Texas girls cool. All in all - we really enjoyed Maura and her place, and we would definitely recommend her place for a stay in Taos!

  • semi rural location with great views--sparkling clean and well furnished, comfortable--lovely outdoor space--everything you need is there--only caution would be probably not great for a lot of cooking as the fridge and stove are small--but good equipment otherwise--a pleasure

This sweet contemporary vacation home is in a quiet rural park like setting walking distance from the library and Taos plaza. It is built of pumice crete, and has a gas fireplace, full kitchen with dishwasher and work island. The great room is light and airy with high ceilings and large windows. The private bedroom has queen bed and large closet space. Bathroom is with full shower/bath, and stacking washer/dryer. There is a wonderful private porch for summer evenings.
The house is in a 3/4 acre pasture, at the end of a long drive. It is very close to town, but private. There are farms on 2 sides of the property, a private residence surrounded by trees on the 3rd side. And yet it is walking distance to the Taos Library, and the downtown area.
  • My family and I would highly recommend staying here, and if we have the chance we will definitely be making it back. The house was amazing and well kept, very welcoming. A great short distance to downtown Taos with all the needed necessities. It was a great place for us to retreat to and have the extra space for our 7 month old.

  • Wonderful home with easy access to all of our favorite spots in Taos!

    Emily & Risschie2017-10-01T00:00:00Z
  • Teresa's casita is a great place to stay, close to the Taos Plaza and many restaurants and shopping, but still in the country enough to make it quiet and peaceful. The casita is modern, with Taos touches, a lovely deck, and light and airy. She had added flowers and muffins, bread, fruit, coffee, all you need to get settled in, before heading into town for dinner and shopping. The road leading into it can be a little difficult due to rutting, but my car sits low, so I simply had to straddle the ruts. Most vehicles would be fine, I suspect.

  • I had a great stay in Lee's place. Lee was pleasant to be around. She was available for a couple of questions I had, but gave me the privacy I like to have. The space had everything needed. The shower is huge and there is nice strong water pressure. It's 'on demand' hot water, so you simply need to wait several seconds for the hot water to arrive. The bed is twin size, which might be an issue for some. It was comfortable and okay for me though, and I'm 6'3''. Lee's place is just a few minutes from the center of Taos. It sets on a high Mesa, which provides nice views of the mesa and surrounding hills.

  • This is a fabulously quiet and peaceful place to stay while visiting Taos. It is so conveniently located, whether going into town for great food or out to the ski valley or hiking trails. Lee is a lovely host, and offers a free foot massage to guests. This private studio is very clean with a small kitchen making it a very pleasant just to hang out. Can't get any better.

    S2013-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • This is a peaceful little place, not far at all from all Taos has to offer, but it feels very removed and serene when you are there. The space has all you need, and gives an immediate sense of peacefulness and relaxation. Lee's communications are quick and helpful and she is a wonderful host. She is next door but it still feels very private. And if massage is your thing, consider booking with Lee. I did a massage and a facial and she is a master!

  • With so many listings to choose from in this area, sage waters was a great find and unexpected treasure. Sometimes your not sure what your going to get once you've made the decision and booked your place. The best part of airbnb is the surprise when you discover what you got is even better than what you thought you were getting: Sunrise that lingers, stillness of mountain vistas and sage landscapes. Best part, your gentle host, if necessary, available to answer questions or guide you to a remarkable hike, place to eat or list of galleries to witness the creative spirit of those that call this home. Adventure On!

    Michelle2017-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • Lee is the consummate host providing a very clean, inviting, well out-fitted, comfortable and nurturing space to "land" in an away from home environment. She is gracious and attentive to any needs, and provides suggestions for entertainment as well! I HIGHLY recommend her place as your choice to stay when in Taos.

    Ginger2017-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • I have been traveling to Taos for many years and Lee's place is in a great location. Its north of town which I prefer, a short drive to Town, The Gorge, Solar Center, Arroyo Seco and The Ski Valley. The studio is neat, clean and has great views. Lee is great host, making sure you have what you need.

  • This was the second time my family and I had stayed here. The first time was during Thanksgiving 2016 and again this weekend. This place is AMAZING! It has everything you need. Tammi is so easy to communicate with, and everything flowed effortlessly. I highly recommend this place to stay during your Taos visit. It is so close to downtown. My son and I walked through the neighborhood and it is gorgeous. Thank you Tammi for a great stay!

  • High end townhome within .5 miles of the Plaza! We loved this home! Gorgeous granite countertops, tile and wood floors, high end finishes! The living room furniture was brand new the day we arrived, the beds were cozy, nice soaps and lotions provided! We enjoyed wine and dinner on the back patio one night. Walked to the Plaza and enjoyed breakfasts and dinners and live music. The hosts were fantastic, communicated well, were thoughtful and the place was immaculate! Gorgoues shower, plenty of hot water, washer and dryer, firewood provided for the kiva - I could go on and on! Stay here! We didn't have little kids with us as ours are grown, but if you are traveling with littles, look for the cutest little reading nook hidden in the house!

  • Adorable, cozy, close to Taos Plaza. Went to ski but took off one of five days to explore town and area. Tammi's tips on restaurants, etc were exceptionally helpful. Don't miss Taos Pueblo.

  • Tammi was a communicative and gracious host. She even emailed us a few days before our arrival to let us know that we could check in earlier than the listed time if we wanted. The townhouse was clean and cozy and conveniently located; walkable to town and many restaurants. I would definitely stay here again!

    Doug2017-03-04T00:00:00Z

  • We could not have been more pleased! Everything was perfect and as described...excellent! It was such fun to arrive to a bottle of local red to enjoy on the back porch. Duplex in residential neighborhood overlooking Taos Mountain, sleeps three, designer decorated, walking distance to historic Plaza, Bent Street Shops, Harwood Museum, Farmers Market & Kit Carson Park where a variety of art fairs and music events occur. Fully equipped kitchen, HD TV with Direct TV service and wifi, washer dryer. French doors lead to a private patio where guests will be able to see the array of stars in the night sky.
The view of Taos Mountain is vividly present from the front of the property, with cows grazing in the pastures in the foreground. A segment of a rural scene is juxtaposed within a family residential area, a short walk, about 15 minutes, (.5 miles), to the historic Taos Plaza, library, museums, Bent Street Shops, fine dining, farmers market and Kit Carson Park where many art fairs occur and music groups perform. It is about 19 miles to the Taos Ski Valley for exceptional skiing / snow boarding. Our charming duplex originated as a renovation from a typical Taos 1930’s ranch house. It accommodates three, is approximately 600 square feet and some guests have described it as “intimate yet spacious”. The modern feeling of spaciousness may be due to the ceiling angles, at the high point the ceiling is close to 10 feet and at its low point, it is close to 8 feet. Architecturally, the Artists Retreat is a balance of archways with contemporary linear angles. The walls are all hand troweled with a very light peach gypsum stucco that emits a modulated contemporary veneer adding to the tactile warm appearance. Upon entering guests pass under an arched passageway before approaching the living room. Guests wanting to prepare food will find the well equipped compact kitchen with a fridge, gas stove, microwave, toaster, coffee maker & grinder, toaster oven, a variety of pots & pans, cutlery, utensils and dish ware. We provide organic coffee beans and an assortment of teas. Rather than decorating and embracing a single period or style, we have contrasted modern furnishings with vintage and contemporary wall art, creating spaces that exude charm, travel and warmth which are intended to make guests feel relaxed in a comfortable atmosphere. The brown stained concrete flooring is enhanced with a variety of area rugs. The living room couch transforms into a single pull out mattress for a second sleeping area. Facing the couch, is a large 42” HD TV with Direct TV service, DVD player and wifi. The bath room has a shower and tub, with high quality towels including a hair dryer. The stacked washer / dryer including detergent is convenient for those guests who have been on the road for a while and for those who may be traveling with children. The large bedroom is designed for ease and comfort featuring two sizable closets with luggage racks, a queen size bed, Serta pillows, and high quality deluxe linens. The mid century bed board includes a reading lamp and clock. An oak dresser with end tables and crystal lamps offers ample storage. The french doors in the bedroom welcome a sunny space that opens to a private tree lined back yard and intimate patio where guests can enjoy coffee or tea in the morning or celebrate the evening with a glass of wine. The patio is situated in a private back yard with shade trees and a sitting area for four. Come summer, shade wings cover the sitting area for additional coverage. The back yard fencing, a traditional northern New Mexico "coyote fence”, made from "latillas" ( aspen poles ) surrounds the back yard giving a sense of privacy. Natural gas heating with thermostat controls. No air conditioning but two table fans provide plenty of cross ventilation in summer. Designated parking in front of the duplex accommodates a minimum of two cars. For guests arriving in the evening, an activated front light automatically turns on for convenience. This is a smoke-free premises. There is NO SMOKING permitted in the unit or on the property. This includes e-cigarettes, "vaping" or other forms of inhalants. No candles. We cannot accomodate pets as some guests have allergic reactions to pets. If you are visiting friends or family in Taos, their pets cannot be brought to the property. We do not permit parties, gatherings or events of any kind without prior approval of the host. In essence, we offer a well-appointed home that speaks of art and a warm and welcoming environment for those that stay.
Quiet long established family residential neighborhood within walking distance to plaza, restaurants, galleries, library, Harwood Museum and historic museums and farmers market. Wonderful view of Taos Mountain from the front of the property.
  • Patty & Juan were fantastic hosts! They touched base early in our stay to make sure we had settled in, and were very helpful orienting us to the area. Their casita was a wonderful place to stay while on our skiing weekend in Taos, it's centrally located and had all the amenities we needed. We will definitely stay here again if we make it back up to the area :)

  • I made this reservation for my mom and aunt, both in their 70s. They were delighted with the home calling it, "lovely, comfortable, and very well accommodated." They said it was exactly as described, quiet and within easy walking distance from the plaza, restaurants, galleries and church. For me, their comfort in Juan and Patty's home eased any anxiety around the safety of their trip. Thank you for having them and for providing such a perfect space that ensured a comfortable, safe and enjoyable stay for them!

  • Juan and Patty were great to work with both before our trip to Taos and once we arrived. They were available for information but only there if we needed something. The lovely apartment was impeccably kept and a short walk to the Taos Plaza, museums, shops, and an array of restaurants. We would definitely stay here again! Thanks, Patty and Juan, for being such great hosts.

  • A beautiful space very close to the heart of Taos, with relaxing light and tasteful atmosphere, kept very clean, and quite cozy. Has a nice shower and tub with good water pressure. Great hosts and though we didn't meet them in person, nothing but kindness and helpfulness over the phone to accommodate our late arrival.

  • Easy communication and lovely, welcoming hosts. A terrific apartment with a well appointed compact kitchen, wifi, flat screen TV, eating area, comfortable bed, ample closet space, nice bathroom, private back patio with shade, parking right in front of casita and a great location near heart of town.

  • Beautiful adobe retreat. Quiet neighborhood and close to the Plaza. Perfect for the 3 of us over Christmas. Spotless and beautifully appointed with nothing extraneous. Kitchen has all the necessities and then some. Nice touches with a range of teas, honey and other extras. Good wi-fi and amenities. Really appreciated Patty's coaching on attending the Pueblo dances. We will definitely want to come back again! Especially with the lovely back yard which the weather prevented us using this time around. Thanks so much! -- Karen, Steve, and Ryan

  • Our hosts Juan and Patty greeted us warmly when we arrived, and the apartment was lovely. A quiet neighborhood, close to the plaza, comfortable, nicely furnished, good queen bed, good lights for reading, good kitchen with all the things we needed. The weather during our stay was quite cold but the apartment was cozy and warm. It was great to have separate thermostats for the living room and the bedroom since we like to sleep in a cooler room. Thanks for a lovely stay.

  • The artist retreat was exactly that: a delightful retreat from the hustle and bustle of daily living. The neighborhood was quiet and the people friendly. Juan and Patty's home was clean, comfy and within walking distance to the Plaza. It had all the amenities we needed. A lovely back yard provided privacy for leisurely meals al fresco. Patty kept in touch to be sure we had everything we needed to make our stay enjoyable.

My place is close to the Plaza, art and culture, shops, restaurants, parks, and public transportation. We are located twenty-five minutes from Taos Ski Valley and five minutes from Taos Pueblo. You’ll love my place because of the ambiance, the neighborhood, the outdoors space, and the comfy king size bed. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers. The manager lives next door and is always available to answer questions and to help you enjoy the wonders of Taos.
Enjoy the deck on the south side of the living area and the patio in the back of the bedroom. Feel free to use the backyard.
We are located in the Historic District of Taos which surrounds the Plaza. Our residential neighborhood lies just North of the Plaza and consists mostly of single-family homes, some of which are Historic Adobe Houses. Many attractions are within walking distance. Be sure to check out the nearby museums. The Fechin House and the Taos Center for the Arts with its large auditorium are close by. The TCA features events including movies, theatrical productions, art exhibits, and music. The Harwood Library off the Plaza has an extensive art collection of famous Taos artists work and holds many cultural events. This part of town contains many restaurants that have existed for a long time and are very popular. Most notable would be Lamberts, Michaels Kitchen, Bent Street Deli, and the Taos Inn.
  • We checked out today! This is a very nice, well decorated home-feeling place. It is a huge house with all the amenties. Brie was very welcoming and tried to make sure we were comfortable. It is located close to down town in a very quiet neighborhood. The photos in abnb do not do the justice for the quality of this house! I highly recommend it.

This is a great place for small groups and traveling couples. Kid friendly, sleeps up to four adults. With a mountain view from the backyard, this two bedroom house in El Prado is only two miles from Taos Plaza, and neighboring the road to the Taos Pueblo.
  • Enjoyed our stay. The house was clean, good kitchen and all the amenities that we needed. we were there for a week's fly fishing trip, and the location and comfort couldn't have been better. Thanks for helping us have a good trip!

Landscaped 3 bedroom home in quite historic location near town plaza and in north end of town for easy assess to Ski Valley. The yard is extensive with an acequia, covered portal, outdoor patio with Kiva, Bocce court and spa. Great for entertaining.
Casa Solis is a one-story three bedroom, three bathroom home which is more than it appears. Getting to it, you drive through the main part of town, and turn into a quiet residential area full of single family homes in a historic district of Taos. The homes in the neighborhood are beautifully landscaped. Walking through the front door, you enter a foyer with a closet that can hold your coat. You turn right and find yourself in a cozy living room with the seating area focused upon a lovely adobe fireplace. A skylight adds natural light to the room, and there is a stereo system compatible with iPods. The room is decorated with art by Taos artists. Walking through the room, you'll find a doorway on the left that leads to the bedrooms. The master bedroom, with a queen sized bed and a private patio features a private bath and ample closet space. The other two bedrooms, one with a king sized bed and the other with a queen, share a large bath, complete with jacuzzi tub . All of the bedrooms feature exposed vigas on the ceilings and artwork from various parts of the US. Back into the living room, there are two doorways on either side of the fireplace that lead to the long dining room. The centerpiece of the room is a massive dining room table that was custom made by local artisan Robert Lavadie. The table seats 14 people comfortably, and massive picture windows and French Doors look upon the breathtaking portal and patio outside. The portal and patio are the central feature of the nearly acre fenced back yard which is great for kids and dogs. An acequia, which is the New Mexican method of irrigation, flows through the yard, past the towering cottonwoods. The backyard also features a bocce court to the left of the patio. Apple trees scattered throughout the yard bare fruit, and foliage abounds. The patio and portal area is massive. Built in banquettes line the edge of the house in the shaded portal area, and there is seating around a round table. Further, the patio offers more seating, and there is a large gas barbecue grill that can accommodate most outdoor cooking. There is also a kiva fireplace in one corner which allows for use of the patio year-round. Off to the side, there is a large hot tub that is perfect for cold winter days and evenings. The kitchen, which is past the dining room, is large and features a commercial gas range and plenty of counter space. It is fully equipped and stocked with cookware, baking ware, serving pieces, and cutlery. The refrigerator is ample, and the microwave and toaster are conveniently located. Off the kitchen, there is a den area, complete with a comfortable queen-size sleep sofa and seating. A flat panel television, with cable and DVD player is available in this room, though it may also serve as an additional sleeping area. The mud-room has a washer and dryer, and leads to the basement, which is fully furnished with five single beds and a full bathroom, It is a great area for kids.
    Quite historic district neighborhood

  • A stunning house, with all the amenities you would ever need. A beautiful and spacious back yard, with it's own stream running through it! We enjoyed the outside fire place and entertainment area and had a huge family dinner at the gorgeous dining table. We would ABSOLUTELY stay here again. Thank you!

  • Stayed here with 8 friends for a ski weekend at Taos - Barbara was great in reaching out to provide details on how to get here and recommendations on where to eat in the town. It's a really easy drive up to the mountain so glad we stayed here instead of at the base. The house itself has great character and a ton of room. The living area was especially fun with no television so we actually got to hang out and talk with one another! Thanks for the great weekend!

    Ann2016-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Large living room with lovely fireplace, wonderful outdoor space and great location made for a perfect place for our 2 families. Basement bedroom was perfect for the teen boys to hang out. I highly recommend this home for a group! Thank you Barbara!

  • We would stay there again.

    celia2016-09-25T00:00:00Z
  • House was lovely and comfortable. The back yard is gorgeous - large, surrounded by trees, and feels very private. We enjoyed sitting out on the covered patio and in the sun by the kiva. The beds were comfortable and there were plenty of towels, dishes in the kitchen, and other little niceties that make a stay more comfortable. We are all lovers of art and the hand-made, so the art and decor of this house was great. There are many locally made pieces throughout the home, which really added to the experience. Overall, our entire group enjoyed the stay and we were sad to leave when it was time to come home.

Experience the authentic southwest in this three-bedroom, three-bathroom Spanish colonial home on a quiet, tree-shaded street five blocks from Taos’ bustling plaza. Casa Milagro’s elegance is in its details. Adobe walls adorned with authentic textiles and art. Imported doors and sculpted ironwork. Hand-hewn wood beams that support antique chandeliers. Splashes of vibrant color throughout. No part of Casa Milagro was overlooked in our effort to create a haven that matches the uncommon splendor of Taos. Prepare a delicious meal using the fresh ingredients you found at the Taos Farmers Market—our sun-washed kitchen is fully stocked and gives cooks a creative setting for their handiwork with its stainless steel appliances, deep farmhouse sink, and spacious center island with seating for friends to gather and chat alongside the cook. From the kitchen, French doors lead to the deck with a large table that seats ten for alfresco dining. Plate some eggs and bacon for a fresh air breakfast with friends and family. At dinnertime, a more formal option is the six-seat Old World dining table—a great place to tuck into steaks seared on the outdoor propane grill. Later, relax with a glass of Taos’s distinctive local wine on the partially covered adobe portale, made more elegant by a commanding antique chandelier from Chicago’s Broadmoor Hotel. Or, cool off indoors while watching television on the 60-inch flat-screen television in the living area, which is also outfitted with sumptuous leather chairs and an L-shaped couch. Each of this home’s three bedrooms offers a unique perk. One has a sitting room warmed by a traditional kiva—an adobe wood-burning fireplace. Another features an elegant scrollwork bedframe. The last has a gorgeous chandelier suspended above the bed, as well as an attached bath with a shower and lighted onyx sink. Casa Milagro is situated at a comfortable distance from the tourist noise of the historic Taos plaza, but a short walk leads you to the heart of it all, where you have fifteen restaurants to choose from, plus boutiques, bars and the museum. Some say our rental home has an “old soul,” and one-of-a-kind character that’s evident in every room, and we agree! Just wait until you see Casa Milagro in the glow of evening, with the porch and garage lights, and the stars above, illuminating the home’s warm adobe façade and the gorgeously landscaped yard. Come and see it for yourself in 2014! We expect a busy year, so get in touch now to reserve your dates!
I'm energized by the creativity of architecture and interior design, so I bought a plain adobe house on a lovely street in the historic district of Taos. It took a year and we did more than restoration. We added architectural features, large windows, and modern conveniences with an eye for the beauty of Spanish colonial design.
Casa Milagro is on a shady street -- very peaceful and apart from traffic noise but so close to everything! A half-block walk gets you to famous Michael's Bakery (even Bikers stop here), the Dragonfl, an adorable gourmet restaurant (my favorite) and the Taos Ale House. Another half block and you'll get to three Art Galleries, the Fechin Institute and Taos Art Museum, and a few steps away, the Kit Carson Park with its historic cemetery. Walk another block and you've come to the Governor Bent House and Museum, Lamberts' upscale restaurant, the John Dunn Plaza with its little boutiques, ice cream and chocolate shops. Then there you are at the historic Taos Plaza.
  • Our stay at Casa Milagro exceeded our expectations. It was immaculately appointed and every detail tended to. The house was beautifully lit for our evening arrival, and the hot tub clean, hot and ready for immediate relaxation. We wouldn't even look for alternate accommodations for our next trip to Taos. If Casa Milagro isn't available, we won't go! ;)

  • This is really a beautiful place to stay. The location was great for our couples ski trip to Taos ski valley. There are restaurants and shops only a few blocks a way and the shuttle to Ski Valley is just down the street. We will for sure Beckett king back.

  • Hi Jessie :) We had an absolutely wonderful time at Casa Milagro!!! You have done an amazing job making it beautiful, warm & welcoming!! There was a little issue with the locks on the front door when we arrived.... but the antique door is so magnificent that it was totally worth the trouble :) My son just got engaged... he & his fiancee have been living in Taos so we came from SC & her parents came from OH to see Taos but mostly to get acquainted with each other.... Casa Milagro was the perfect place for us to get to know each other. The kids were only going to stay over one night but when they saw how gorgeous your home is (& experienced the hot tub)... they decided to stay the whole time!!! Casa Milagro is definitely within walking distance of the Plaza. The neighborhood is very nice... we all felt very safe & comfortable! Our visit to Taos was simply fabulous!!! Thank you so much for being so very quick to respond to the couple little concerns we had :) We would totally recommend you & your Taos Vaction Rental to others!!

  • Jessie's house is absolutely beautiful! It's perfect distance from everything and the hot tub - amazing! I guarantee I will be staying here again when I return to Taos. Thank you Jessie for making my first visit to Taos a great one!

  • Casa Milagro was a beautiful retreat for our mini reunion in Taos. Jesse was very hands on answering questions before we made the trip and we highly recommend this lodging for your New Mexico stay.

  • The house was beautiful with a wonderful Southwestern Old World feel. It was a great location within walking distance of the Plaza and shops. We loved it and definitely would like to rent from Jessie again!

  • The house is a lovely pueblo style, is decorated beautifully, and is in a great location for walking around Taos. A car is useful for getting to the ski slopes. Our group of four was very comfortable and appreciated the hot tub after each day of skiing. We used the fireplace each morning and evening and it warmed the large room amazingly well. We didn't cook much in the kitchen - restaurants in Taos offer great meals - but we had everything we needed to prepare breakfast and enjoy snacks at cocktail hour. This home is perfect for a family or group of good friends to enjoy Taos in winter and summer.

This beautiful home is in the desirable area of Blueberry Hill, ideally situated between Taos Ski Valley and Taos Plaza and the lovely little artists village of Arroyo Seco. It is also close to the stunning Rio Grande Gorge.
Some of the best restaurants you will enjoy are in Taos! Top quality galleries abound here too! Actually, shopping in Taos and Arroyo Seco is just lots of fun! Fishing, mountain climbing, hiking and mountain biking are fabulous and it goes without saying that the skiing is top notch! Arroyo Seco is just lots of fun! Fishing, mountain climbing, hiking and mountain biking are fabulous and it goes without saying that the skiing is top notch! Our house is truly your HOME away from home. It is appointed with many of our collected Indian artifacts and original art from across the country that recall the craftsmanship of days gone by. We want to to feel that you are at your home and not a rental. It is ready for you! The home has 3 bedrooms and 3 full baths as well as a screened in sunroom and a weaving studio, an easel AND pottery supplies! A fully stocked kitchen is perfect for those who WANT to cook and a dishwasher for those that do NOT want to hand wash those dishes! There are beautiful rugs and incredible artwork all over the home as well as Native Indian artifacts that we have collected over the years. Bold, beautiful viga ceilings are seen throughout the house. DirecTV is the cable provider. Pay Per View is available for an additional fee. Three 42 inch flat screen televisions are in the 3 bedrooms and a 55 inch television is in the TV room. Internet service is also provided (if you happen to get tired of all that outdoor fun!). There are lots of kid friendly movies for their entertainment as well as sleds, board games and toys. In the spring/summer months you might enjoy outdoor cooking on the grill. Spend time relaxing in the hot tub ANY time of the year. There are two carports, 3 different patio areas, a wonderful garden full of fresh veggies for your enjoyment and the property around the house is fenced and gated. You might want to bring some canvas and paints also because we have and easel in the weaving studio that could easily be moved to the patio in the front of the studio if you wanted to paint outside. It is just absolutely a wonderful, tranquil and yet energizing vacation spot.
The neighbors are generally folks that are out and about walking their dogs and interacting with each other. They are VERY friendly and quite interesting! There is a stained glass artist a few houses away and a potter about a half mile down the road, and the neighbor to our right is a skimobile tour guide and does other tours during the summer months. His wife is the comptroller for the Ojai Caliente Spa that is one of the premier spots in the area for mineral/mud baths.
  • Buffalo Moon (the name Marcia has given their home) is delightful in every way. Sitting on a plateau just north of Taos, the views are amazing. The adobe home has wonderful details throughout with viga and latilla ceilings, beautiful rugs and artwork throughout. We also spent a good bit of time on the back patio which features a lovely garden and hot tub - perfect after a day of hiking. :) We found the location to be perfectly situated between downtown Taos, the Taos Ski Valley (and Arroyo Seco) and the Rio Grande Gorge - all destinations that we would recommend. Marcia was also super prompt in getting back with the several questions we had. We look forward to returning for another visit - thanks Marcia!

This camper is beautiful, romantic, retro-but-modern. The Taos air is UNBELIEVABLE-clean, fresh, cool. The camper is set up at a private spot at our home in Valle Esconido, a beautiful "hidden valley" about 12 miles (a 25 minute drive) outside of Taos (toward Angel Fire). At 8,600 feet the winter can be strong, but the camper stays warm! The camper only has a TINY, TINY, TINY restroom and shower, but a "normal" restroom is available for guests in the house.
The dining table converts to a bed. There is also a short bench that can be a bed for a child (it is not full-length). Camper includes refrigerator, stovetop, microwave, and sink. There is a USB jack for your music and charging your phone. Camper has forced air propane heat. No cell service is available at the site.
Valle Escondido is a beautiful mountain residential area with a golf course and lots of on-site hiking in the Kit Carson National Forest.
  • I wish I'd stayed here longer!! The cozy camper is on a beautiful campground -- in contrast to an RV park/lot -- with gorgeous surroundings and a lovely drive to get there. I loved the pretty outdoor lighting, lil fire pit, and little things to help you feel comfortable (many blankets, shower minis, salt & pepper, vegetable oil -- it makes a difference!). The campground manager was welcoming and helpful too. As a solo female traveler, I felt totally safe, and enjoyed strolling the grounds and chatting with other campers. I'll be returning!

  • 1- more adorable than you can imagine 2- well managed and easy to settle in 3- the filtered water tastes better than almost any drink I’ve ever had. Idk what magic spring Randy found :D Definitely coming back next time I’m in Taos

  • Loved our stay here! Lovely little camper between Taos and all the hiking we wanted. Randy was very easy to communicate with and provided us with the essentials (cookware, water, coffee, wood, s'mores materials) as well as good suggestions for hiking trails nearby. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to others!

  • Randy's retro RV was to die for!! it is located in a beautiful spot in the mountains, had a very comfy bed with a heated blanket, fresh coffee in the morning, and plenty of wood to build a nice fire. Randy was very kind and let us use his indoor shower, and made sure we were settled in. Thank you again! I highly recommend staying here for a quiet peaceful getaway. :)
