Ice Cream Shop
$$
“Best Italian Gelato in town. The owner is a regular participant in the German/world championships of ice cream making, always ranking in the Top 20. The place itself is more of a hall in the wall, but the long cues in front of it should be enough to convince you of the quality. Try the Indian inspired laddoo ice cream (if you have the chance) which made them reach the half-finals of the ice cream world championship.”

Cafe
“Not sure if we should be sad or happy that despite being more than 10 years old, the "Alte Hackerei" is still considered an insider tip. Anyway, you can expect some really great indie punk bands (some famous, some underground) having shows here. Apart from that, the regular parties are just fantastic (great atmosphere and always full till the end). Our personal favorites are: + Balkan Beatz with KimSka + London Calling with DJ Jane Smith -> BritPop, New Wave + Nette Hackerei with DJ Plüsdchbert -> Punk, 70's, Rock, etc. Didn't check out the 60's parties, yet, but were told that they are equally great. All in all, good value, great atmosphere, and perfect for all ages.”
