“DC’s rep as a well-read city is plain to see at Kramerbooks, where voracious readers fill up on political studies essays, literature, novels and travel guides, before filling up on food from the open-late, on-site Afterwords cafe. Another reason to visit: the steady lineup of readings from local and renowned authors.”

“One of our favorite French restaurant. As close to a Paris neighbor hood bar and resturant experience as possible. Start with a Kir, followed with a Petite fricassée de Merguez for appetizer, a nice steak for dinner and crème brulee for desert. The best Crème Brulee in town. ”

Pizza Place

“Solid pizzeria with a huge selection of beers on tap. As for the pizza, the margherita is quite satisfying, with the smaller version being easily shareable between two friends. The beer selection was quite a huge bonus, with rotating, well-curated picks from all over the country and the world. Service at the bar was friendly and engaging, and this intimate venue can get quite busy on weekends. A solid recommendation from a your Airbnb hosts.”

Italian Restaurant
$$
“This is one of our favorite go-to restaurants in DC. It's a cab or Uber ride away, but worth the trip. The food is well-done Italian, the wine list is excellent. Located in an old townhouse near Dupont Circle, Dito's Bar in the basement is a cozy, welcoming spot. If you see our friend Dito bartending, make sure to tell him we said hello. Upstairs, the dining rooms are cozy, quiet and quaint. It's our favorite neighborhood restaurant. ”
