Places to stay in Dennysville
Nestled in the heart of Downeast Maine, our cottages are a peaceful retreat. You can enjoy fishing, canoeing, swimming and more. From late June through mid-August, we rent weekly only (Sunday to Sunday). Springtime weekly rate shown below.
This single level cottage features a field-stone fireplace. There is also a monitor heater for those cold nights. It has a cozy kitchen and dining area, a living room, bathroom with shower and two bedrooms that sleep 4. One bedroom has a double bed and one has 2 twin beds. The screened porch overlooks Robinson's Pond and is a short walk to the swings, badminton/volleyball net and swimming area.
Edmunds Township is in a very rural area within 30 minutes of a variety of coastal towns and activities. The property boasts a man-made pond and the Dennys River. We are also only a few hundred yards from the Sunrise Trail. The closest stores are in Pembroke, a 6 mile drive. There are a Dollar General and two convenience stores. These have some groceries and takeout options. The closest sit-down restaurant is 12 miles from us in Perry, but most are located in the towns of Machis, Calais, Eastport and Lubec which are a 20-30 mile drive. Many restaurants and stores close early here, so it's best to call ahead for hours if you are planning a later arrival. All of the cottages have a kitchen so cooking for yourself is an option. Coming from the north, the last stop for groceries is Calais and coming from the south, the last stop for groceries is Machias. Both are about 25 miles from us.
  • Great stay on the pond!

  • Such a fun place!!! Very peaceful.

  • My family stayed in Cabin #3 and were very pleased with how cute, cozy, and comfortable is was. The setting is wonderful - we especially loved the screened porch which is so close to the pond's edge - great place to have coffee in the morning, or just sit and read. The large stone fireplace was very much appreciated in the cooler September evenings. The hosts, Bill and Teresa, were kind and welcoming. We hope to visit again. This was our favorite Airbnb stay so far! :)

  • Excellent spot. Wanna go back real soon.

    Melody2019-08-24T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful, cozy and quiet. Exactly what my husband and I were looking for. Teresa and Bill, were there if we needed them and we wonderful hosts. We stayed in cottage 3 and it had everything we needed.

Private & entire loft suite with beautiful ocean frontage & view. The guest suite is a large studio that is 900 square feet and includes a full kitchen (stove, microwave, dishwasher, full size refrigerator, and keurig coffee maker) that is stocked with everything except the food. Also includes a full bath (with shower, no tub). Complete with a full size washer and dryer in the suite (and laundry detergent). 3 large windows with a full view of the ocean from anywhere in the suite. Pets welcome.
The suite is a large, welcoming, open space with an amazing view of the ocean. There is ocean access on the property (hilly, rocky ocean front). You could fish in the ocean right from the property! **Please note that we are still working on improvements to the suite. There is still some trim work that needs to be completed. However the suite is set up to provide you a comfortable and amazing stay!! The guest suite is the entire upper floor above our 2 car garage (we do not park cars in the garage) and is separated from our house by a breezeway (with 2 solid-core doors on either side of the breezeway - so you won't hear us, we won't hear you). So you have a private entrance, and complete privacy in the suite. The washer & dryer are private also for the suite. (No one to share it with). The guest suite has a king size bed. We have a large air mattress that we can set in the suite if needed for additional sleeping space. Just let me know in advance. The full kitchen inside the guest suite is complete with dishes, silverware, pots, pans, utensils, spices - pretty much everything except the food. There are some snacks & drinks in the suite that are for your enjoyment, free of charge. About 1/4 mile down the road is a beach area where you could clam or take out a kayak. We do have a single person sit-on kayak that you are welcome to take out on calm days. The guest suite has a 60" flat screen tv & dish network. Also includes wifi - although our wifi is not super high speed. The TV also has Netflix & Amazon Prime on it. Unfortunately, the guest suite is not wheelchair accessible. There are stairs going up to the guest suite. The stairwell is inside, so weather is not a problem. There is a large parking area, so a medium sized trailer or several cars would not be a problem. Pets are welcome. Just let me know what to expect. We have 2 small dogs, but they will not be in the area of the guest suite. The property is an acre, so if you have pets there is plenty of room for them to run around. Self check-in is available if we aren't going to be around when you arrive. Instructions will be given prior to arrival. As a side note, we've decided to call our property "Rooster Bay" because we have a metal rooster on the mailbox. Although no live chickens are on the property :) I have a soft spot for rescue dogs & for metal roosters/chickens. So you might see a few of each on the property! ❤ We are actually located on East Bay in the Bay of Fundy.
We are located a little less than a mile down a private, dirt road. It is accessible by car most of the year. If it has recently snowed, I would recommend a front-wheel or all-wheel drive vehicle. The snow is plowed in the winter (daily if needed). There are several homes down the private road, but no other homes are visible from our property. You are welcome to walk or hike in the area.
  • This is probably the best Air BnB I’ve ever stayed at. I stayed here with my boyfriend for a night and Chireen made it so special for us with the sweetest touches. This place included the best amenities and had THE BEST view. Cute, quiet place and a great getaway! Will definitely stay again if I am in the area!

    Ally2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • I feel bad for any air bnb near here because they have to compete with the best air bnb anyone will ever see.

    Layton2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Chireen is very hospitable, the place is very clean and comfortable.

    Brian2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • I had a wonderful time staying here. Chireen is very good with communication and has made everything from getting there to getting into the place so easy. The snacks and heated mattress may have been my favorite parts. The view is absolutely gorgeous as well. I would love to stay here again! Thank you!

    Oksana2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • So many thoughtful touches to this place. It was even better than what we expected! Beautiful and they provided everything you needed(and more!).

    Tina2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • My reason for travel was for something especially stressful and Chireen’s place provided me with an oasis away. The view that you wake up to is breathtaking and your stay will be very private. I wish I could rate my stay a 10 star rating but alas I am confined by Airbnb’s 5 star maximum.

    Michelle2020-02-06T00:00:00Z
  • Chireen was a great host. Her place was a wonderful getaway. I will be back for sure!

    Kaley2020-02-02T00:00:00Z

  • Huge cottage with lots of privacy. This would be great for a full family and it's affordable. Beautiful location and the cottage had everything we needed for our stay. I would definitly recommend this to anyone visiting this beautiful corner of Maine.

  • Thank u The kids had a blast very quiet and relaxing

    Benjamin2018-06-07T00:00:00Z
  • What a gem of a property in a not often visited part of Maine. The Robinsons do a great job of keeping the cabins up. It is definitely rustic but that is exactly what I want in a camp experience. Very responsive to questions and having the lake/river and canoes on site is a big bonus. Come see the real Maine and stay with some good people.

    Seth2016-08-14T00:00:00Z
  • Teresa and their sweet dog welcomed us to the cottages and there was a fire going in the woodstove when we got to our cottage! The cottage was clean, comfortable and private, we really enjoyed our stay. The access to the canoes and close proximity to the pond, river and trails was great.

Its time to visit Anna' House and settle in while the snow falls. Relax in a warm cozy home on a quiet private road. Cobscook Bay Park, which is 10 minutes away, is a beautiful place to take snowy walks and cross county ski. If you are looking for a place to retreat to and tuck in, consider Anna's House. The owners plow your short driveway when snow arrives. Possible use of the attached garage could be arranged for longer stays.
Anna's house is a two story, two bedroom, two bath home, fully and comfortably furnished. Well-equipped kitchen with gas range and oven, coffee maker, microwave, and dishwasher, along with all dishes and utensils — everything you could need. Open dining area with table that seats six. Living room with smart tv that comes with Netflix and Amazon access. High speed wi-fi throughout the house. Downstairs bedroom has a double bed, private bathroom, and plenty of closet space. Upstairs master suite has full bath and a queen bed in a semi-private nook. There is also a fold-out couch that easily sleeps two and is located at the far end of the upstairs space.
Anna's House is located on a quiet, paved, dead end road, but is close to US Rt 1 for easy access to local attractions. Several restaurants stay open all winter which are nearby. Local hospitals (2 of them) are 25 minutes from this location. Local theater has programs all winter - 20 minutes away by car. Bald eagles and deer are often spotted while wild turkeys occasionally stroll through the property all winter long.
  • Absolutely beautiful, warm, comfortable, and spacious!

    Melanie2020-01-09T00:00:00Z
  • Anna’s house is conveniently located in Dennysville near both Eastport and Lubec in a quiet setting that immediately says “Downeast Maine” with unspoiled woods in the backyard and a view over trees and water. The house has everything you need (and more) whether you are returning from a day of hiking or just relaxing inside on a rainy day: shelves of books, magazines, Netflix...comfortable beds, sparkling clean bathrooms, and a well equipped kitchen. Tom and Barbara, our hosts, were understanding and very helpful when we arrived on a very last minute booking! Disclaimer: Charlie and I believe that Downeast Maine is about “as good as it gets”. It would not be an exaggeration to say the same for Anna’s house! Diana & Charlie

  • A perfect house for a long weekend. The hosts were great. The house had everything we needed. A nice central location for all of the places we wanted to visit.

    Ernest2019-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • While many AirBnB's in rural places are frumpy old homes with saggy porches and a thin veneer of makeup on an old building, this place is new, solid, REALLY clean, and perfect in every way. We chose it because we needed a quiet rest between a 9000 mile road trip and a Tintamerre (Noise Parade), and it was exactly what we needed. One thing that really struck us was feel of spaciousness... large bathrooms, large kitchen, and the upstairs bedroom has it's own private drawing room, walk in closet and bathroom. With everything I wrote about the newness I should also add that both the design and decor follow fit right into the Downeast setting. We spent our days here doing crossword puzzles, listening to Vinyl's of Frank Sinatra and cooking real food (long awaited break from restaurant food). The location is pretty deep in the woods, and right on a beautiful inlet. We found deep rest here. We met Tom and he is wonderfully warm and friendly. BIG thumbs up on this one!

  • Anna's is an ideal spot for a relaxing stay Down East. It has an easy to access location and in a cozy home filled with everything you might need for an enjoyable stay.

    Katherine2019-08-10T00:00:00Z
  • Anna's place is perfect. It is spacious and meticulously clean. It has everything you need to spend the week. So many wonderful personal touches. Hosts are a perfect blend of friendly, kind, and helpful but never intrusive. Beds are very comfortable. We slept so well! Very quiet peaceful street. Beautiful view from the second floor. There is a comfortable place to sit and drink coffee in the morning and take it the view. Kids said it was our best vacation yet. It really was the perfect location for starting and ending all of our day excursions. Thank you!

  • Tom and Barbara’s house is the perfect place to get away. It is impeccably clean and very comfortable. We met Tom and he was very friendly and helpful. The house has all the basics (pots & pans, dishes, towels). We spent time in both Lubec and Eastport and spent a day in Saint John, NB as well. We hope to make it back for another visit soon!

  • This house was such a treat! Perfect for our family. We loved the location and all of the day trips that it allowed- Acadia, Reversing Falls, Quaddy Head/Lubec etc. We had an incredible stay!

  • We had a great stay.

    Jon2019-08-10T00:00:00Z
  • The house was beautiful and very clean. B gave a lot of great suggestions on local attractions, reversing falls, whale watching, west Quoddy lighthouse are must sees. Happy Crab (best chowder) and Quoddy lobster (best haddock sandwiches) are great places to eat. The fridge and cupboards we stocked with breakfast foods. Watching the river completely empty twice a day and filling back up with the tide was amazing. Would recommend visiting Downeast Maine and staying here. We had an amazing week!

    Lisa2019-07-28T00:00:00Z
  • This house was perfect. I would stay again in a heartbeat.

    Erin2019-07-20T00:00:00Z
  • Great location… Beautiful views of the water, very homey. Love the sunroom in the bird books .

    Mark2019-07-12T00:00:00Z
  • This is an incredible place to stay! With beautiful views, tons of space, and lots of thoughtful touches, you will absolutely love staying here. The hosts were responsive and courteous. We would recommend this place for a multi-night stay as we all wished we had more time to explore and experience the surroundings. It was also clean and organized with notes to help with any confusing tech. Having 2 bathrooms was also an uncommon northern luxury. 20/10 stars!

  • Perfect rustic cabin in the woods! Everything you could want for a stay in the backwoods of Maine was in the cabin. The fireplace, cozy chairs, rustic furnishings, and simplicity of the home was enough, but to add to that, there was a gorgeous river and lake with plenty of canoes/boats for everyone. We loved canoing and taking walks as the sun rose and enjoyed hanging out by the campfire under the stars at night. Couldn't be happier! :)

    Deborah2017-09-24T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed 3 nights in cottage #1 It was absolutely amazing! It was a little chilly at night so we had a fire in the huge stone fireplace and the kids made smores! In the morning while everyone was asleep I enjoyed a peaceful coffee on the screened in porch listening to the river and birds chirping. My family loved using the canoes and fishing. It was a perfect vacation and we can't wait to go back!

    Marny2017-06-26T00:00:00Z

  • For a rustic experience with added amenities, like plumbing and warm showers, these cabins are great. I stayed here for a weekend in October with a friend and my 4 young children (10, 7, 4 and 20mos). We had a great time. The kids wanted to stay longer. So cozy and plenty of firewood and heating options for the chilly nights.

  • An amazing old fashion cottage on the shore of a cute pond . With a lot of privacy. Important to come with the food you need bbecause the groccery options are a bit far from the cottage. A very nice and recommended place to stay.

    Mor2019-10-10T00:00:00Z
  • The only problem with our stay here was that it was too short. The cabin, location and hospitality were all excellent.

  • If you are looking for a cozy rustic cabin to stay in for your vacation then this is it. The cabin was nice and clean and they had started a fire for us so the cabin was nice and cozy when we arrived. Teresa’s communication was great. Thank you so much, I highly recommend these cottages. They are in a great area with lots of hiking and fun outdoor activities.

    Kara2019-05-25T00:00:00Z
  • Cottage 4 is lovely and very cozy. It was just what we needed for peaceful long weekend. We enjoyed the fireplace, the lake view, and admiring the plant and wildlife as we wandered the property. The canoe and fishing access (and fishing tips from Bill) were a real treat. Highly recommend!

Ever dreamed of finding private seaside solitude on the rocky Maine coast? Camelot sits upon an isolated thirty-foot cliff overlooking the Atlantic. At high tide, waves crash against the sandstone rocks. At low tide, a hundred feet of beach is revealed for shell collecting, clam digging and rock skipping. With no roads within a half mile, you might not see another soul during your stay. Enjoy peaceful off-grid cabin life. Campfire cookouts, stunning views, and cozy beds.
Camelot is a 420 sq.ft. A-frame cabin built by my father in 1965, and completely renovated in 2018. It has a small upstairs loft with a twin bed, perfect for kids. On the main floor it has a queen bed, a sofa, another twin bed, and coffee table. The oceanside deck has 4 comfy camp chairs overlooking Canada across the bay. A hammock swings between two big Maine birch trees. It is off-grid. No electricity. No heating. No running water. No TV. No wifi. It is a comfortable, peaceful getaway, as it has an outhouse, a 5 gallon solar shower, a huge marine 120 quart cooler that will keep food cold for up to 6 days, a 5 gallon drinking water cooler, a big propane cooking grill, a small propane campstove for morning coffee and eggs, and battery LED lanterns for evenings. It is stocked with everything you need - plates, bowls, glasses, mugs, silverware, coffee French press, sheets, pillows, blankets, Scrabble, playing cards, a big Bluetooth speaker (crank it up- there's no one around to complain!) Dogs and cats are welcome!
You are in the Maine woods! No human neighbors whatsoever for over a half mile in any direction. Complete isolation. You will see lots of birds, and possibly seals.
  • Beautiful spot! We spent a lot of time looking for sea glass on the beach, it was refreshing to be alone and disconnected from technology, highly recommend!

    Trish2019-10-15T00:00:00Z
  • Great cabin! Exactly what we were hoping, a real getaway. Wish I could have stayed longer.

    Alice2019-10-12T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin is an amazing spot for a relaxing off grid getaway. Sam provides clear information for what to expect and has thoughtful touches throughout. The beach and the view are spectacular.

    Nancy2019-10-08T00:00:00Z
  • This offers a unique experience of off-grid living. The cabin is very basic but very comfortable with everything you need to enjoy your stay. We had signal all the time and offers you a way to charge your phone in your car. The view is amazing, and the nights are even better, very quiet, secluded and with lots of stars. The only downside for some people might be the outhouse, and no heat inside the cabin aside from plenty of heavy blankets (although we didn't have any issues in our short stay). It was a great experience overall, if you want to stay in a unique place to enjoy nature and completely disconnect and enjoy a quiet moment in nature, then this is the place, you will not regret it.

    Paolo2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • Simply the best location for a Maine getaway. Private beach, and no one around for a 1/4mile in any direction. Beautiful cabin in scenic Maine.

  • We had such an excellent time at Camelot. The views cannot be beat - and we woke up early both mornings to walk the beach at low tide and watch the sunrise. We loved loitering at Pulpit Rock, a short distance south along the beach. Sam has thought of everything in the cabin - from the griddle to the binoculars to a can of cooking spray, which we forgot. We hung out by the campfire (bought wood from the neighbor, which was super convenient) and took in the scenery - the ocean, the seals. Like other guests, we found loads of sand dollars and beach glass. We kicked on the heater for a little bit before bed - but were totally cozy during our stay. During the day we hiked at Cutler Coast and also Campobello Island, and Camelot was the perfect base camp. Thank you again, we will definitely be back!

This lovely cottage is a hidden gem. Small in size but ENORMOUS in views! Just off of Main Street in downtown Lubec, the cottage is tucked behind a church on a short private lane. 180 degree views of Johnson Bay, Dudley Island, and Popes Folly from the back deck and yard.
The cottage is perched on a hill overlooking the ocean. A perfect get-away for enjoying Nature's beauty..while still being in town close to events and amenities. June-August, Lubec hosts SummerKeys : a season of music workshops and concerts. You will hear the ocean sounds mixed with music. Free community concerts are held throughout the summer. We are pet-friendly. We do need to know what and how many to make a judgement call if the cottage is a appropriate. NOTE: The cottage exist between 2 time zones. If your phone it set to roam, it may show Atlantic time (Canada) in the bedrooms, but Eastern Standard Time in the kitchen! I got up an hour early twice during my stay. But I spent the extra hour enjoying the wonderful view, so it was a win anyway! Your cell-signal may be iffy at the cottage...but if you turn call-over-wifi on, you will be covered.
  • Amazing views, clean cottage!! Caters to our fur babies!

  • Need a place to escape your troubles? Look no further than this perfect cottage with a beautiful view and everything you need to just relocate for a few days. I brought clothes and some grocery money. Literally every other thing I needed was provided! Out of the way in a small town with great views, privacy, and comfort, this was the best choice I could have made!! Clean, comfy, and homey—I loved every second I was there. Great spot for exploring the area too—perfect homebase for Roosevelt Campobello International Park and other regional interests. Thank you for a wonderful autumn respite!!

  • Quiet place with great views! We came during the off season so a lot of places were closed but we still loved it. Shore View take out has good food with good prices. Went to Bar Harbor for a busier scene. Take 182 for the scenic route to get there. Carol Sue and the co hosts are amazing. Very accommodating and thoughtful. We felt so much at home. Will definitely stay here next time we come to Lubec. Thank you so much!

The "Dark Loon Lodge" is a private forested retreat, this 3 bedroom cabin with 1 kilometer of shore on Nash's Lake provides a serene getaway back to nature. A screened porch lets you to enjoy nature without the bugs in the summer and the crystal clear lake water offers large mouth bass, trout, and landlocked salmon fishing just steps away. You’ll have free roam and use of the entire 90 acres and both the boathouse by the lake and the main cabin.
  • That's very private place. Can not explain how great nature there. Cabin is high quality natural wood building with amazing smell. Kitchen fully equipped to cook anything you want.Highly recommend this place to enjoy virgin nature!

  • Wow.. this place is such a treat. The hosts are super communicative and answered every question we had, quickly and thoroughly. If you feel like leaving the cabin for a bit, the town of Calais is super cute! There’s also a large Walmart and grocery store close by, super convenient for last minute groceries/supplies. The cabin itself is pristine, completely spotless and very comfortable. There’s a screened in porch where you can sit and enjoy a slow morning, with a nice cup of coffee. We plan to come back again very soon.. we had a very difficult time leaving,

  • For future travelers I expect you to have an amazing experience just as I did! The cleanliness along with the amenities such as bathroom linens, space, availability, kitchen accessories, wood stove fire! A beautiful view out on the back screened-in lanai was great to drink your coffee in the morning even for this time of year! Not having little to no cell service or WiFi was a chance for us to get away from the real world and just enjoy time to ourselves!! I’m so happy I chose this place!

  • Very nice cabin in the woods. Quiet, secluded and cozy. We enjoyed the kayak and canoe available. Also the barbecue grill. Great getaway for a week!

  • A true gem! This is the perfect place to disconnect from it all, while still having modern amenities. We had such a great time, we didn't want to leave! The house is perfect in every way; clean, comfortable and everything is there that you could need. The screened in porch is key! We spent most of our time just sitting there relaxing, reading, and enjoying the view of the lake. The lake is beautiful. We brought our kayak and got to explore a bit. The lake was so much bigger than we thought! Thiago & Niles are wonderful hosts! They were very helpful with any questions we had and answered messages extremely quickly. Plus, they have done a great job with all of the little touches they have at the cabin! They're attention detail really made it a great trip! Thank you!

    Michael2018-06-21T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin at Nash's Lake was beautiful. It is very cozy and remote. If you're looking for a quite place with no distractions from the outside world, this is your place! Extremely clean and roomy, with a great open dining/living area, and a super screen porch.

    Paul2018-05-29T00:00:00Z
  • A modern Walden! Perfect place to enjoy Maines wilderness lakes without really "roughing it". Far away from it all ! Beautiful new cabin with all modern amenities on a pristine lake. A great value for the price. We took our kayaks which we highly recommend, Nash's Lake is perfect for kayaking. Lots of coves and peninsulas with shallow backwaters to explore, and very little human activity. It was the week before Memorial Day but we had the entire lake to ourselves. Only a few other cabins on this end of the lake and plenty of beautiful woodlands to explore. The place is brand new , immaculate and very comfortable. Extremely private, with only the owls and loons as neighbors. You don't find many special places like this anymore. We loved it !

This is a seasonal cottage located directly on Straight Bay in Lubec, Maine. There are two bedrooms and comfortable for up to four people. All you need to bring is your personal items. Most of what you need to enjoy your stay is already in the cottage. Washer and dryer, refrigerator, stove, fireplace, kitchen utensils, linens, etc. The attached pictures will give you an idea.
The location is very private and no close neighbors. Sitting on the porch you would have a panoramic view of bay. You would see two islands that are protected nesting areas for Bald Eagles that are seen almost daily hunting for fish and other prey. Several other islands in the bay that can be seen from the cottage are hangouts for seals. In June it is common to see mother seals and their babies basking in the sun. It is a great uncrowded area to kayak or canoe. Miles of pristine bold coast line, places to dig soft shell clams, fish, or take great pictures. This area of Maine is part of the Bay of Fundy. The tide rises and falls about 22 feet twice a day. In the bay the process is quietly observed with islands appearing and then disappearing. A great place to use as a base to explore the Downeast area visiting lighthouses, some of the many restaurants, whale watching or just staying at the cottage where thee is many activities to do close to the cottage
Uncrowded wooded setting. No close neighbors
  • You will enjoy your stay! The back porch has a beautiful view of the forest and the water, and it is wonderfully secluded. The beds are comfortable and clean. It was fun making hot cocoa with the Keurig and watching a movie on the couch! I highly recommend!

    Inga2019-09-13T00:00:00Z
  • Loved the cabin! Great location and great scenery! The front porch overlooking the water was amazing and very relaxing!

    Noelle2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • This is a spectacular stay for those who enjoy wildlife and peace and quiet. The hummingbirds on the deck were delightful. Seal and bald eagle sightings were common. Bring your binoculars and get out on the water in a kayak or canoe after you understand the tide tables. The changing water levels were quite something to observe. We were impressed with how well maintained the gravel road is. The property has plenty of shade and is well above the water line. Bring mud boots/ protective footwear to explore. We loved the Quoddy Coastal trail and the the bog trail as well as seal watching in Campobello.

    Kathleen2019-08-24T00:00:00Z
  • Do you remember the excitement of being a kid and going to camp? That was how I felt here but with grown up amenities. The peace of this place is outstanding. The fact that there is hot water and a washer and dryer are awesome. James has everything there, just look for it. Extension cords, laundry soap, hummingbird feeder, lobster pot, and on and on. I brought my kayak and lowered it down the hill to the water and had a pleasant week kayaking. The hill is steep so you need to be strong, and it's worth the effort!

    Kathleen2019-08-17T00:00:00Z
  • This house overlooking the ocean was the perfect retreat for our vacation. It was far enough away from town that we felt completely alone, but it was also a quick drive to Lubec, both of the state parks, and other hiking trails. Visiting Campobello Island and Boot Head Preserve are must-dos, and the beer at Lubec Brewing is delicious! We appreciated that we could make our own meals at the house and enjoy beautiful views from the covered deck. A very relaxing vacation spot!

    Natalie2019-07-07T00:00:00Z
  • This home is just what we were looking for when we wanted a woodsy stay in Maine. The quiet in the area before Spring really settles in is just profound! We heard owls in the night, and watched the bald eagles by day. The access/stone stair to the water is a little treacherous, but well worth it. The space is quiet, warm, and fully equipped for a nice stay. Full size fridge and electric stove, no oven, but there's a large toaster oven that takes care of most things. Entrance is elevated, and only accessible by a staircase, so keep that in mind. Cell service is nearly non-existent, and no wifi, but you're literally in the middle of the woods, off a dirt road, enjoy the forced disconnection! For us, the ONLY downside, I and I really mean it, the only downside, was the bed. It's only a full size, and really wiggly. So if you're accustomed to more room, or a light sleeper, it may be worth while using the single beds available upstairs, if it's just two of you.

    Julie2019-05-05T00:00:00Z
  • We were very pleased with the location and atmosphere in the cabin. Very peaceful and well stocked

    Sherry2018-10-08T00:00:00Z
  • This place is amazing, the views are incredible! Bring your exploring boots to go down onto the water front, its pretty muddy! The wood burner is so charming and makes for sweet snuggly evenings. There's lots to do around. Some of the bigger outings are a little bitnof a drive but very scenic!

Life is all about balance. Our little cottage is a place that will remind you about what's important - nature, relationships, exploration, and the sea. This cozy and airy cottage is located in historic Eastport, Maine with access to all Downeast Maine has to offer: the rocky coast, hiking, beachcombing, art, history, fresh seafood (not to mention the best lobster roll in New England), and friendly hospitality.
Spend the day reading and relaxing on one of the two decks; the first-floor deck is spacious, quiet, and surrounded by trees; the upstairs deck is off the kitchen and has a bird's eye view of Passamaquoddy Bay with more than a glimpse of Campobello Island. Map out the day hiking on the Bold Coast or stay closer to home and enjoy a short walk to the beach to search for sea glass. Take a short walk downtown for a leisurely meal, to explore the local shops and enjoy galleries showcasing Maine artists. Finish your day preparing a meal in the well-equipped kitchen, dining on the deck, or snuggling in the window encased living room watching the skyscape of colors. After a good night's sleep you'll awaken to fog horns and the first sunrise in the USA.
This is a quiet and sweet little neighborhood in the South End of Eastport, also known as Bingville. There is beach access one street over, spectacular views of the bay, and if you have patience you may spot a whale. You will definitely see fishing boats set out for a day's work.
  • Fantastic cottage by the sea. Well stocked, spotless, comfortable and decorated beautifully.

    Tammy2019-10-09T00:00:00Z
  • This was the best place to unwind after our crazy wedding weekend! A thoughtful congratulations card was waiting for us upon checkin and the cottage had everything we could have needed. We were able to explore beaches and lighthouses during the day and unwind at night!

  • Cyndi's place in Eastport, Maine is fantastic. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and did not want to leave. The entire house was open to me and, though alone, I felt as though I was in my own house. Two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a complete kitchen and a beautiful living room in which to relax. Windows everywhere! A two outside decks with great views. Whenever I return to Eastport, this is definitely the place I will stay.

    James2019-09-21T00:00:00Z
  • My mom and I just spent a few days in the Little Cottage and we loved it (and Eastport). I am the kind of person who spends too much time redesigning houses in my mind but I couldn't find anything I wanted to change in this place - it is as nice as it looks in the pictures and is stocked with pretty much everything you could ever need. Eastport was very quiet in mid September and not everything was open, but that was okay with us. We both live in Maine and eat at more than our fair share of lobster shacks, but we found exceptional ones in Eastport, along with Rosie's Hot Dogs (worth it for the onion rings alone) and the Waco Diner (among the best blueberry pancakes I've ever had). We took a great day trip to Lubec and Campobello (a must do) and spent a lazy day at the Reversing Falls in Pembroke (also well worth doing - bring chairs!). I am an avid cyclist and found some beautiful quiet roads around Boyden Lake. It's a trek up to Eastport, even if you already live in Maine, but it is absolutely worth it, especially when you get to stay in a great house like this one!

    Margaret2019-09-18T00:00:00Z
  • Great location for just relaxing or seeing the sites. Very friendly town. Lovely sunrises. Cyndi's place is comfortable with everything you need. Took a while to find the cutting board -hint - it is on top of the refrigerator. It is special place that is for sure.

    Linda2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • The most considerate and responsive host we have ever had. We arrived ready for peace and quiet and to our surprise and Cyndis, the house next door was a major construction zone. We called Cyndi who responded immediately and found us another place to stay and immediately refunded our money offering us her house for the night. It took us 15 minutes to go from stressed to serene. It is so beautifully appointed with everything you could possibly need or want. We enjoyed feeling like we were in a deluxe tree house with unexpected peekaboo views of the ocean. We saw a number of deer, wild turkey and a seal. We decided to stay longer and take our chances with the construction as we were so contented. I highly recommend Cyndi as a host and her cottage for your vacation stay. Eastport is so charming and quirky.

    Susan2019-08-27T00:00:00Z
  • Cyndi's place is impeccable and fully stocked. Lots of wonderful touches and very comfortable - even the beds which is rare for a rental. Cyndi is a wonderful host and very attentive. Treat yourself to this place - you won't regret it!

  • Wow, what a great place! Hosted by Sandi & Ryan who are an energetic, personable couple, the accommodations are a suite with 2 rooms and a full bath separated from the main living area by a set of pocket-doors. This Air BNB, originally designed for their personal guests, is spacious, spotless, and very comfortable. From the parking area, a staircase leads the occupant up to a pair of French doors leading directly into the suite. This is a perfect Air BNB for photographers and outdoorsy kind of folks. Within an hour and a half in three directions, three are things to do and see that are spectacular on both sides of the border! Kudos to this terrific host & hostess for sharing their splendid accommodations through air BNB! I plan to return in the future.

This spacious, updated home is right on the bay, with shore access. Enjoy the gorgeous sunsets and panoramic view from most rooms in the cottage. There is plenty of room to spread out, with one bedroom upstairs and one on the lower level, as well as bathrooms and living space on each floor. Guests really appreciate the large, well-stocked and neatly organized kitchen with its dynamic view of the bay. Mudge's Bluff is conveniently located just .5 miles outside of Lubec Village (9 County Road).
A spacious sunporch provides an additional location to spread out. The bedroom on the main floor has its own half bath and conveniently connected laundry area. The lower level bedroom has a sliding glass door that opens onto a small patio overlooking the bay and allows you to enjoy the fresh ocean breeze. Twin beds are also in the lower level. You will find that the large windows in the living room and kitchen really showcase the ever-changing views of tides, currents, salt flats, birds, Eastport international dock, and more.
Mudge's Bluff is a short drive (or .5-mile walk) to Lubec village waterfront, concerts, restaurants, library, brew pub, museum and public beach. It is easy to access many local trails and West Quoddy Head Lighthouse. Campobello Island, where you will find Roosevelt Park, is just across the bridge from the village!
  • It's official, we are in love with Lubec, Maine and Nicole's home at Mudge's Bluff is serene, clean and a wonderful place to stay. The rooms are well appointed and spacious. The backyard overlooks the bay and the house has plenty of light and windows to enjoy the ever changing landscape. This time of year, there are not too many restaurants open, but we were able to purchase amazing lobster from The Shore Thing along with food essentials at the IGA in town. The kitchen was well equipped and we put together a wonderful risotto with heirloom squash from the market and winter chanterelles we gathered on a hike on the trails near the Quoddy lighthouse. Don't miss a visit to the Lubec Brewery where you can mingle with the locals and other travelers that stop in. We will be back.

  • Great place, clean and uncluttered, with gorgeous views. Will come again!

  • I’m so glad I stayed at Mudge’s Bluff! It’s a lovely home, and Nicole did a great job preparing it for me. There are many beautiful views of the bay from inside and outside the house. I couldn’t be happier with the location as it was quiet and calm, and yet close to town and roads leading to day-trip adventures. I highly recommend this Airbnb and Nicole as a host.

    Dawn2019-10-18T00:00:00Z
  • We loved staying here. From the welcoming flowers and chocolates to the beautiful location. Everything was pleasant and enjoyable. Nicole went above and beyond to make our stay a pleasant one. When we requested to stay an extra night she made it happen. There are so many nice things that I could say about this place. Super comfortable beds, fantastic views to mention a few. We would love to come back again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.

    Linda2019-10-07T00:00:00Z
  • This seemingly small not so flashy house from outside is quite deceiving! Inside was well decorated and very spacious. Also very well equipped and functional. Plus the ocean view from the window was amazing! We would definitely come back again!

  • My husband and I and our dog just stayed at Mudge’s bluff for a week and loved it. It was spotlessly clean and so comfortable. The layout of the cottage offered various sleeping arrangements and two living areas. The downstairs has a TV and the upstairs doesn’t. We spent most of our cottage time either at the kitchen table looking out on the bay or reading in the living room which also has a gorgeous view of the bay. The sunsets were just beautiful. There was a supply of info on the area that is everything you could possibly need to enjoy whatever your interests are and also lots of games. We took three trips to West Quoddy Head park and about 4 to Campobello. Ate a ton of seafood and blueberry pie and went beachcombing at low tide. We saw whales at Head Harbour Passage! We would definitely stay here again.

  • Mudges bluff is a perfect place for a family getaway. The house had everything and then some. The view was spectacular.

    Holli2019-08-09T00:00:00Z
  • This home is spacious, clean, offers 2.5 bathrooms, large kitchen, plenty of room and spectacular views. Close to so many things to do and they had a large basket of helpful brochures to places to check out including the local paper with tide information- important for beach combing.

  • What a fabulous place to stay! The house is quite lovely. Immaculate and well equipped for all your needs. The location is ideal, two streets away from the Main Street and just below the beautiful Algonquin Hotel. There is also an amazing playground within walking distance as well as a large backyard. Mandy is a very gracious host and greeted us on our arrival. Would definitely recommend and revisit!

Enjoy a bright welcoming space in the middle of downtown with views of the water. Have coffee and breakfast downstairs at Dastardly Dick's, and wander Water Street or wind your way to Shackford Head State Park for an afternoon hike.

  • Cute place! Eastport is cute too!

    Hannah2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • Very clean setup!

    Jean2019-11-24T00:00:00Z
  • Great spot in the center of Eastport just across the street from the waterfront and steps above the coffee shop run by the hosts with delicious breakfast. Jenie was extremely accommodating. Being pet friendly allowed us to travel with our dog which was a big plus.

    Stephen2019-11-21T00:00:00Z
  • This apartment is above a restaurant and cannabis dispensary in the heart of Eastport, Maine. It was quiet, clean and comfortable. Being the middle of November when we visited, there was not much open, including a place to get breakfast, but the grocery store is a 2 minute drive or a 15 minute walk away and the kitchen was well equipped, including coffee. There was an amazing concert at the nearby Arts Centre that we just happened to stumble upon, and that made our stay even more enjoyable. We would love to return to Eastport in warmer weather, and fully experience the town, and would love to stay here again.

    James2019-11-11T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay right in town above the coffee shop. Peter and Jenie are very sweet and made a great space for visitors. And the bed is super cozy!!

    Teresa2019-11-09T00:00:00Z
  • Jenie's place was awesome. She is a fantastic host! Communications were prompt. Check-in was a breeze. We loved being right in the middle of the little village. Jenie's recommendation for dinner was great. We would be thrilled to stay at her place again and highly recommend Jenie as a host to any future guests.

    Ian+Clifford2019-10-19T00:00:00Z
  • Nice place downtown on the second floor overlooking the town. The hosts were great and met us initially. They offer breakfast in their coffee shop as well. Off-season so not much going on but very comfortable place to rest your feet.

  • Eastport is a beautiful and active small town. Dastardly Digs is a great place to stay right in town. The apartment is comfortable and really clean. You get a partial view of Cobscook Bay and the water is right across the street. For breakfast you can head downstairs and have great coffee and breakfast from the owners’ cafe.

Rustic cabin, way Downeast, on a dirt road, on a sparsely populated wooded peninsula in wild, unspoiled Cobscook Bay. Near beautiful Reversing Falls Park. Not close to anything else! Wifi equipped. Outhouse and outdoor shower. Sleeps 2 or 3 inside; can also be used as a base for group camping, with ample tent space available on the 25-acre property. Priced to encourage weekly or monthly stays, for nature lovers, free spirits, artists on a budget.
Half an hour from the Canadian border, the cabin on our 1787 farmstead is an ideal base for exploring the bold coast of Washington County. A week's visit would give you time to hike magnificent oceanfront trails . . . take a whale-watching trip . . . venture to the lighthouse on Campobello Island . . . shop for baskets at the Passamaquoddy community of Sipayik . . . check out the many galleries featuring work by local artists and artisans in Eastport . . . or just spend time writing, drawing, or painting. Much of the shoreline here is public land, part of Moosehorn Wildlife refuge, a birdwatcher's paradise. The cabin has a double bed and also a very small (< single) futon. If you have kids, you are more than welcome to squeeze them in any way you like, or set up a tent for them. The cabin is a simple Maine sporting-camp style guest space with two rooms: a 16x12 kitchen/living space and an enclosed 16x8 sleeping porch with a full-size bed at one end and an eating area at the other end. No bathroom: it has an outhouse (100' walk) and an outdoor shower (hot and cold water). No water view. (We're on a peninsula, with public access to the water a mile away.) I supply all linens: towels, sheets, pillowcases, blankets. The sleeping porch and outdoor shower mean that staying in the cabin can feel like the best parts of camping, because of the proximity to the outdoors. You'll wake up to birdsong, and if you step out the door at night you'll be astounded at the depth of the stars, in a place with no light pollution, and the depth of the silence, so far from a major road. Any interruptions in the nighttime quiet will be from nocturnal residents of the woods that surround you: coyotes serenading the moon, porcupines crunching apples in the tree outside your window, a resident barred owl calling "who-cooks-for-you?" But unlike camping, you will have a solid roof over your head, a real mattress (full-size; firm and new), a kitchen fully equipped with everything you need to make a real meal, a deliciously hot shower, and a wifi signal. Regarding the all-important wifi: This rural address gets internet service at 3 mbps via DSL. The signal is fine for basic internet access (I depend completely on the internet for my daily work and research), but it's not sufficient for heavy-data use like streaming video.
Yellow Birch Farm is on 25 secluded acres on a dirt road on a sparsely populated saltwater peninsula. If you are looking for a coastal region of beauty and solitude (spectacular hiking, biking, kayaking, without the crowds of southern Maine); if you like a grassroots arts and music scene; if you are more of a camper than a B&B person; and if you don't mind putting your kayak on your car to get it to the water, this is the spot for you. This part of the Maine coast is a truly special place, the eastern seaboard's best-kept secret. A pristine coastal landscape still survives this far downeast: 4.25 hours north of Portland, 2 hours east of Bangor, 45 minutes from the town of Lubec (and 10 minutes beyond that, Campobello Island in the Canadian province of New Brunswick), 25 minutes from Eastport. Bring a passport if you want to cross into nearby Canada.
  • Gretchen’s little place is magic. It’s like entering a feel-good space bubble in a different time where life is more direct and simple. Be prepared for little to no distraction from the woods, the ocean, your tiny little cabin oasis, the stars, and of course, yourself.

    Gwendolyn2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • I book ended my summer (May and September) at Yellow Birch Farm and plan to come back again. I completely wind down and disconnect from all that brings stress while exploring a pretty amazing corner of Maine (and New Brunswick). If you like simple yet all needs are met then this is a place for you.

    Maria2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin is brilliant, and an excellent spot to enjoy peace and quiet, and the outdoor attractions around beautiful Cobscook Bay. Highly recommended.

    Martin2019-09-07T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin was clean and adorable! Gretchen was a great host and we would definitely come back!

  • Another great stay at the Artist's cabin!

    Cynthia Lee2019-07-28T00:00:00Z
  • Gretchen has a beautiful space, well decorated and appointed, tucked in a great getaway location. Great host

    Lee2019-07-26T00:00:00Z
  • Gretchen's cabin was exactly as explained. It's cozy and bright and so blissfully quiet. While it does seem to be "out there" she was so wonderful with providing local tidbits of restaurants or nearby sights. Fresh eggs were delivered from the on-site chickens which was the most unexpected and sweet touch. Maybe not the best for someone looking to stay 100% connected to tv or internet, but more than enough to function if needed. We didn't have the pleasure of meeting Gretchen, but something tells me she's a very caring, lovely and interesting person. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking to explore the bold coast or just getaway from a busy regular schedule.

    Taylor2019-07-21T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin is perfectly appointed with everything you'd need. The bedroom especially is very tranquil with an extremely comfortable mattress and beautiful windows all 'round. I loved that there were so many types of coffee-making accoutrements, a knife sharpener and good knives, and my favorite kind of farmhouse sink. I hope to return!

Our carriage house is located in the historic heart of town where we can walk to the the shops and restaurants in seconds. It is approximately 80ft from our heritage home and has a private backyard space. Two bedrooms and a fully equipped kitchen as well as a BBQ in backyard space. Smoke-free space. (No smoking on property) No pets (Sorry - no exceptions)
In this beautiful seaside resort town we are ideally located where we are able to walk downtown or to the end of the wharf in minutes. Our carriage house was re-purposed as a 'family overflow' guest home in 2004. The renovation was done by my 'kind-of-handy-but-clearly-not a-real-carpenter-husband' with love and creativity. It is ideal for 1 or 2 guest but can sleep up to 3 with a single bed in the second bedroom. Both bedrooms have a window and dresser for storage and master bedroom has plenty of closet space. The bathroom is small but does have a full-size tub with shower. We are excited at the opportunity to share this unique place with visitors seeking cottage-style comfort.

  • Quiet and Convenient. Serenity in the historic town without giving up convenience.

    M2019-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • One block off the main street , Sylvia’s place is close to everything but far enough away to be quiet. You will have a quiet, private back yard to sit and relax. The cottage is charming and homey, the bed in the main bedroom is very comfortable, and Sylvia is the nicest lady to talk to and very helpful and responsive. We really loved staying here and will stay here again if we go back to St. Andrews.

Salty Towers is a unique accommodation facility owned by adventurous souls Deb Farlow & James Steel. The main house has 10 rooms of various sizes. Rooms are capable of sleeping between 1 and 4 people. Please check each room description for details. This listing lets guests choose one or more rooms at once. Convenient if two or more travellers want separate rooms. If guests have pets or want a larger space we may opt to accommodate them in a studio apartment.
Salty Towers has been called a Chateau Alternatato by some and is certainly not for everyone. It is more of a guest house/hostel than traditional B&B. It is certainly not sophisticated or high end! Rooms are not huge, nor are any two alike. The building is a 170 year old former Sea Captain's home. It became a boarding house in 1918 and then a summer accommodation facility - The Seaside Inn - in 1921, operated by the captain's daughter Marjorie, who ran it for 68 years. We purchased the property after her death in 1994 and reopened it as Salty Towers. In addition to family and other guests we have two cats, Kyle and Moustache who come and go as they please. They generally keep to themselves. We do not serve meals but have kitchen facilities for guests to use if needed. We are up in the morning with coffee and tea for those needing a liquid start to their day.
St. Andrews is our neighbourhood. The town is basically 13 blocks long by 6 blocks wide. We are 4 blocks from the centre of town .... shops restaurants, wharf etc. From the porch we see the harbour and the daily passing of a myriad of people walking. The town is an incredible place. There are scores of things to do without having to get in your car. Art, music, sea life, kayaking, sailing, hiking, great food, architecture, galleries, museums, interesting people....
  • This house is right next to the water and on the main strip. You can step out the front door and walk down to all the cute boutiques and cafes and restaurants. The house is the perfect old character house, perfect for any type of stay you are looking for.

    Justine2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • Charming, shabby chic, comfortable, well appointed, perfect location and clean. Creative upcycling of decor items (a saw blade holder as kitchenette towel holder, birch slab with bark still attached as a shelf). If you care about glitz and glamour, this isn't a place for you. But if you want low key and quiet in a place that feels like the old family place on the ocean were the hosts are warm and welcoming, this is the perfect place. We loved it.

    Deborah2019-10-07T00:00:00Z
  • If you're looking for a basic place to stay with great character, this is the place for you! I would definitely stay there again. James was great in communicating with me for my later than expected arrival time.

  • Our stay at Salty Towers was awesome and Jamie was a great host. Such a nice guy! He gave us recommendations for dinner and breakfast, and told us where we could get some things we were looking for at the different stores in town. Salty Towers is located within walking distance of the downtown area/the harbour, which was perfect. We would definitely stay here again if we come back to Saint Andrews! Thanks again Jamie 😊

    Jess2019-09-10T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our overnight stay at Salty Towers. Jamie is a great host, and the house has so many unique and eclectic components. Our family of four slept great on the comfy beds listening to the rain through our open windows. Jamie also gave us great suggestions for bike riding. If we are ever back in Saint Andrew, and I hope we are, we would love to stay there again.

The sunrises and sunsets were so beautiful over the water, which could be seen from the picture windows. Everything was spotless and the check in/out process were a breeze. We stayed in the off season, but will most definitely be back during the summer.

Breakfast on the Haviland China was scrumptious. Eastport was a great place to visit downeast, the famous Campobello Island with its Roosevelt International Park was an easy, fun day trip from the house.

  • Beautiful Airbnb, exactly as you see in the pictures. Great communication, nice location, and thoughtful touches made for a wonderful stay. We were there to spend some time on Route 1 as well as do some hiking in Acadia National Park and spend some time in Bar Harbour. Helens restaurant nearby is a must. Overall a really wonderful time!

  • This is a great spot right on the water in St. Andrews. You can sit in the garden and watch the tide go in and out while local fishing boats make their way out to sea. We like peace and tranquillity and we weren’t disappointed. Listening to waves hit the shoreline is a great way to fall asleep. The apartment is well designed and everything is neat and tidy. The hosts have an outstanding knowledge of the area and answered any questions we had. They were friendly and gracious. We will certainly return!
