  • A perfect place to get away and to enjoy Dartmouth. A wonderfully styled apartment with added touches to make you feel welcomed and comfortable.

  • A lovely bolt hole for everything in the centre of Dartmouth. Cosy and clean. The host had thought of everything you could need for a short break. The views of the river were lovely, but not if you were sitting down as you could only see rooftops. That said you would want to be out enjoying the area. Would definitely recommend this property.

    Anna2017-08-01T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely flat in a fantastic location minutes from the front. Ideal for exploring Dartmouth, and Bill and Jasmine's local knowledge was also very welcome, so thanks to them and Sally.

  • The apartment was perfect, beautiful view, near everything, spacious and clean. Would defiantly recommend and stay again. Megan and Paddy.

The Glasshouse is a beautiful contemporary 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom property less than a 10 minute walk into the centre of Dartmouth. Truly luxurious in every way and the views are amazing! The Glasshouse is very modern and contemporary in design and offers a fantastic base to relax and enjoy Dartmouth. Throw open the bi-folding doors and enjoy the south facing terrace and garden or turn on the Smeg gas fire and huddle up on the comfy sofas. It really is a beautiful place to stay.
The Glasshouse has its own entrance and garden. It is a haven of peace and tranquility. Open the bifolding doors on the ground floor and catch the sea breeze or open the juliette balconies on the first floor and gaze out to sea - you won't be disappointed! You have use of the whole property and the garden. The ground floor is open plan living, dining and cooking and has a separate utility room and cloakroom. An oak staircase leads upstairs where you will find the master bedroom with a kingsize bed and huge ensuite with shower. There is also a twin room which can be made up as superking on request by zipping the beds togethers. There is another bathroom with shower and bath. Both bedrooms have amazing views out to sea. There is a wonderful garden filled with palm trees and bamboo with a raised decking area with outdoor furniture and a BBQ. There is also a trampoline for the little ones to play on whilst you sit on the deck and take in the view!
We have the best views in Dartmouth - out to sea, the countryside and the Dartmouth Naval College. Dartmouth is an amazing town and we are lucky enough to have the best views. We are also south facing so we get the sun all day long. It is a quiet location yet close enough to walk into town. It takes less than 10 minutes to walk not town but may take a few minutes more on the way back up as we do live on a hill!! No need to move your car once you are here unless you fancy a trip to one of the lovely local villages.
  • A fantastic place to stay. Really well presented and felt really special. Incredible views of Dartmouth and lots of lovely touches from the host such as toys for our baby.

    Lara2017-03-20T00:00:00Z
  • The house is beautiful with the most amazing view. Everything you need and want. A nice walk down to town and a good climb back up but worth it for that view!

    Lucy2017-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • The Glasshouse did not disappoint. Located in truly beautiful Dartmouth, just a short stroll away from the centre of town, this place is worth every penny. Not only is the accommodation of the highest standard, but so is the view! Sarah certainly makes her guests feel at home, greeted by a bottle of bubbles, milk in the fridge and a warm welcome message hand written on the chalkboard. For us she made travel with a 6 month old easy providing not only a travel cot, but bedding, toys and so much more. Thank you, if we didn't live in Australia we'd be back again soon!

    Lucy2016-01-15T00:00:00Z
  • The Glasshouse is just absolutely amazing. Such a beautiful home from home. It surpassed our expectations and had everything we could possibly want. Sarah was wonderful, she was in touch regularly to ensure we had all the details we needed and everything was fine. We will definitely be coming back!

    Sarah-Jane2016-11-14T00:00:00Z
  • WOW! This place was even more spectacular than the photos suggest. The view is breathtaking. The decor is very well thought out and the house is just a pleasure to be in. Full of light and space. We came with a 9 month old baby and there were so many useful things provided for us, not to mention a selection of toys and play area that kept the baby entertained. The kitchen was so nice, a real pleasure to cook in. I'm in the middle of planning my own kitchen and it was great to steal some ideas. The views from the upstairs bedrooms... wow! We had awful weather but this house saved the holiday. We were happy to spend time indoors. If we'd had more sunshine we'd have spent more time in the delightful garden. The house came with a spa membership which was very useful on rainy days - a lovely little swimming pool for us to use and a massage booked with a discount. Communication with sarah was fine - all very easy. Would 100% recommend this place - can't wait to come back!

    amy2017-05-19T00:00:00Z
  • A beautiful home with lots of thoughtful additions - especially for those with small children

    Vicky2017-02-05T00:00:00Z
  • What a fabulous house - so warm and bright and peaceful. All the bits and pieces you need for a week away, even with a 1 year old in tow! You don't even need to bring their toys and books. We found lots to do and so many good places to eat either a short walk away or a 5 min drive. Sarah's lovely teens even babysat for us so we could go out for dinner - we will definitely be back

    Bay2017-03-31T00:00:00Z
  • We had wonderful stay at The Glasshouse! From the comfy sofas, to the DVD's, to the pint of milk on arrival, Sarah thought of everything to make our stay perfect. Add in one of the best views in Dartmouth, and you have a place you will want to visit again!

Dressing room with plenty of luggage & hanging space, selection of teas & coffee, bottled water, fresh milk, kettle, mini fridge, hairdryer, bathrobes, Wifi, free off street parking. Fresh baked croissants, juice, toast & preserves, fruit, cereals, tea/coffee.
Ever changing views overlooking the harbour - from your bed. Come and get some Vitamin Sea!
Brixham is famous for its fishing and you will be able to eat some of the freshest fish at the many restaurants dotted around the harbour, or enjoy fish & chips sat on the harbour wall. The south west coastal path is easily reached. Blow the cobwebs away and enjoy the stunning scenery from the cliffs. Very friendly neighbours, we are also quite popular with the local seagulls who soar up from the harbour to come and rest on our roof.
  • Sara was very welcoming and easy going and her house is in a great location, close to the centre but with a fantastic view and very peaceful. Breakfast was also lovely .

    Samantha2016-11-06T00:00:00Z
  • As first-time users of airbnb we were delighted with the tremendously enjoyable experience that was offered to us by Sara and Ian. Sara and Ian were friendly but not overbearing hosts. They were quick to communicate with us prior to arriving and provided clear instructions on how to reach the accommodation. The accommodation itself could not be faulted - a lovely, large double bedroom with views of the quaint harbour, a sizeable walk-in wardrobe and an ensuite bathroom. The breakfast provided was excellent - a selection of mueslis, yoghurt, berries, bread, croissants and jams. We will definitely be visiting Brixham in the future and would love to stay with Sara and Ian again.

    Natalie2015-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic views from a fantastic room. We had our own suite in an elevated position overlooking the harbour. Lovely breakfast and warm and friendly hosts. Highly recommended

  • Really enjoyed our time at Sara and Ians home. Fab location, stroll down the hill and straight into town. Awesome views from the bedroom window! Great hosts, very approachable. Usually I'm all for a fried breakfast. But the very healthy yoghurt, fruit and toast was excellent.

    Greg2016-04-30T00:00:00Z
  • Sara & Ian made us feel very welcome. The room was great as was breakfast - it just does not get any better than this. Would thoroughly recommend.

    Robert2016-05-06T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing view from the bedroom window of Brixham and a lovely room with separate bathroom and dressing room. Sara made us a lovely breakfast and it was only a 10 minute walk into Brixham. We dined at Simply Fish on Sara's recommendation and fantastic meal with fish and seafood that comes in fresh from Brixham Harbour daily. We have a very comfortable stay and thank you Sara.

    Trudy2017-05-15T00:00:00Z
  • Sara was very responsive before our stay and welcoming on our arrival. We enjoyed meeting Ian and their lovely dog Ozzie too. We absolutely fell in love with their stylish and peaceful home and its gorgeous views. We couldn't believe the views from our bedroom window, and spent ages just soaking up the beauty. It was amazingly quiet and It was also easy to get into town by car or on foot. Great breakfast, comfortable and spacious bedroom and ensuite. I would go back in a heartbeat!

    Valerie2016-10-30T00:00:00Z

Comfortable, luxurious apartment, centrally located and built on the site of the former Dartmouth blacksmiths. Fully equipped, it makes the perfect base from where you can explore the glorious South Hams. We hope you enjoy. If Blacksmiths is not available for your dates, why not try out our new studio room, Seven Foss Street, still in central Dartmouth, plus an outside terrace and large bath !
Blacksmiths House is a first floor apartment with lounge/diner, kitchen space, double bedroom and shower room. Fully equipped, this light and airy apartment is right in the heart of this beautiful town. We regret that we do not accept children under 12yrs of age because of the layout of the property. Why not escape to Dartmouth?
Being right in the heart of town means easy walking. Leave the car parked up and stroll around town or jump on a ferry or boat to explore the river. Get into relax mode as soon as you can!
  • Every bit as nice as it looks in the pictures. A lovely haven in the beautiful town of Dartmouth. Tastefully decorated , comfortable and everything provided. Although right next to a pub, it was very quiet at night and such a perfect location. Good communication from Cliff, Self check-in and excellent wifi. We loved staying here and highly recommend it.

    Caroline2017-06-07T00:00:00Z
  • Attention to detail with the interior design has created a very unique living space. We particularly liked the imaginative use of driftwood and inclusion of retro furniture. The underfloor heating was effective and the shower was both hot and powerful. The central location was very convenient, it was only a short walk to the shops, pubs, restaurants and M&S Foods! Although there is no parking at the property it was very easy to find parking a very short distance from the flat.

    Diana2016-11-23T00:00:00Z
  • Cliff's place is really central within Dartmouth, and was super cosy with all the amenities that you could need over your stay. Underfloor heating was a nice bonus after wet and windy walks along the coast!

    Lewis2017-01-29T00:00:00Z
  • This is a lovely apartment in the centre of Dartmouth. It is clean and spacious, with some charming interior decoration, and nice facilities. Had one evening when cigarette smoke was coming in through the window from the restaurant below, but the staff were very considerate when asked to move. A terrific base for exploring the South Hams. Parking is simpler than you’d expect in this bustling town: we found the best places to be in the unrestricted parking in the Market Place two minutes from the house (though this is not possible on Monday or Thursday evenings due to the market the following day), or in the lightly restricted parking directly next to the apartment (2 hours max stay 9am-6pm, so if you park overnight you’ve got until 11am in the morning – ideal if you’re going on a day trip).

  • Valerie & Phil are the most fantastic hosts. They made our weekend so enjoyable by being present but respecting our privacy. The room is brand new & very comfortable with a lovely private outside terrace to enjoy a coffee or glass of wine. Thank you both for a lovely weekend & we cannot wait to come back to Dartmouth. • We had a brilliant weekend with Valarie and Phil. They were both incredibly welcoming and offered great advice on where to visit during our stay. The room itself was perfect. Beautifully finished with lots of great little touches that really make it stand out and made us feel at home. The bathroom and outdoor area were ideal additions that allowed us to make the most of our stay. Ideally placed in town, we cannot wait to come back. This is a perfect example of Airbnb done brilliantly - a lovely space where you can relax with great hosts. Highly recommended.

  • Lovely room with great amenities. Thoughtful decor, very well planned room for a fairly small space. Lovely little table outside for morning coffee. Great hosts and loved Poppy! Thanks for a very enjoyable stay.

  • Valarie and Phil were great from day 1 with quick replies and constant communication. They were very understanding of a personal situation which meant the lead up to our stay was stress free. On check in Phil was there to greet us and was very welcoming as was Val on the following days and on check out. (Not to forget our new friend Poppy!) The room was full of lovely little extras including his and hers umbrellas for the short spell of rain. They are a lovely , caring couple with an amazing little space in an excellent location at a great price in a fantastic town. We can't wait to come back already! Alisha and Ross x

  • Valarie and Phil couldn't be more welcoming and helpful. We enjoyed staying in the tiny, but perfectly formed room! Great access to the heart of Dartmouth, with a stroll down lovely winding streets. Breakfast outside on a small patio was lovely!

  • South Ford Haven is more than one could wish for, whether you are looking for a base from which you are planning to explore Dartmouth, or a 5* room to relax and unwind. The location is perfect, being so central so that the town is a 2 minute walk from your room, but also secluded enough from the hustle & bustle so that you are in a more tranquil environment to put your feet up. We had everything we needed in the room, from a luxury coffee machine to one of the best beds we've slept in! Valarie and Phil are fabulous hosts, with Valarie even picking us up and dropping us off from the Park & Ride car park to save us getting the bus in the torrential rain which we were very grateful for! They were incredibly helpful in suggesting things to do, places to eat and bars to drink that were appropriate to us and our age. The entire experience was perfect and we have left feeling relaxed and excited to return. Thank you so much Valarie and Phil for inviting us into your beautiful home!

    Dani2017-06-08T00:00:00Z
  • This is a lovely cosy retreat in the heart of Dartmouth - close to shops, bars and restaurants, all within walking distance. Valarie and Phil are great hosts and will do anything to make your stay enjoyable, nothing is too much trouble. The accommodation is lovely and cosy, modern and extremely clean. It is the ideal place to stay.

The other side of the hallway is the bathroom, tiled in natural stone with large walk in shower with Hansgrohe fittings & full height towel radiator. Being Artist/Designers we have really tried to make this apartment a truly special place to stay with equal attention to both style and comfort. The interior has been strongly influenced by classic mid century design and Scandinavian style. Throughout the apartment you'll find a mix of nautical objects, quirky sculpture, vintage signs and original art of course, which we are both so passionate about. Our previous holiday properties were selected for Alistair Sawdays 'Special Escapes', featured in Coast magazine and rated as excellent on Trip advisor as a result of the many outstanding reviews and repeat visitors we received. With this wealth of experience we aim to maintain these high standards and hope guests will continue to enjoy their stay with us and have the most fabulous holiday!
After a brief visit to Dartmouth in early 1999 we instantly fell in love with the town and moved here just 9 months later! Situated on the River Dart the port of Dartmouth is one of the most captivating destinations in the South West of England. It is so Picturesque with it's wonderful architecture, historic quayside and narrow streets full of independent shops, art galleries, cafes and restaurants. There is so much to do for the whole family here including Sailing, fishing, crabbing and walking. Exploring the South West Coastal path is not to be missed with so many stunning views, rugged coves, an abundance of wildlife and the beautiful beaches of course! There are an incredible variety of trips to choose from whether you decide to head up river to Dittisham, Stoke Gabriel or Totnes, take a ride on the historic steam train or paddle steamer or visit the National Trust properties including Agatha Christies house at Greenaway and our favourite Coleton Fishacre near Kingswear. Many visitors find they never have to move their car for the entire stay! We love the fact that Dartmouth is a town for all seasons with its many vibrant festivals including the Music Festival in May, Royal Regatta in August , Food festival in October and Candlelit Dartmouth in December. With a Theatre, cinema , indoor swimming pool, sports centre and several spa hotels it really is an enjoyable place to spend time whatever the weather! If you do decide to explore a little further afield Exeter and Plymouth are interesting cities and Dartmoor is a wonderful contrast with impressive panoramic views of the South Hams and some magical spots to paddle and picnic further up the River Dart. There is a visitor information folder in the apartment and we can also recommend so many other special places for you to explore with some cosy village pubs, great places to eat and endless walks in this outstanding area of natural beauty.
  • We very much enjoyed our stay at Theresa and Simon's apartment. The apartment is beautifully designed and furnished, with lovely views of the town from the lounge and bedroom. • This stay was the best we've ever had at an airbnb, possibly because the owners are not only on site but very helpful and friendly. There was an instant and mutual good feeling, respectful of space but right there with solutions and suggestions to anything we asked for help about. The apartment is beautiful. The views are amazing and the balcony makes a lovely venue for a sundowner as the lights come on in town: the calming decor brings the beach right inside.

    JILL2017-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • A fabulous find! Our first Air bnb experience and so positive. Delighted to have discovered this little gem of a place. The Harts family were the perfect hosts. Happy to help with any local information and some great recommendations of places to go, things to do etc. Yet equally gave us privacy. The apartment was super with it's own separate entrance and of a high standard with a very pleasing mix of modern and retro decor and styling. Everything needed was there: good range of cooking items and entertainment with tv, wi-fI etc. We were encouraged to make use of their garden and summerhouse, which were stunning, and a great addition. The view from the balcony was beautiful with the cherry blossom framing the harbour and many cups of tea catching the sunrise enjoyed there. It was a joy to be able to park up the car safely and not have to use it all week, as we could walk easily down the hill into town in a mere 10 minutes. Could not fault anything here. We are already planning our return visits!

    Sue 2017-04-21T00:00:00Z
  • This is a beautifully designed apartment with top end furniture and appliances. The beds are comfortable, the kitchen is well appointed and the view of the harbour and hills are stunning. Our girls got to jump on the trampoline in Theresa's garden with her daughter and even walked a neighbours dog as it was a friendly road. 10 mins walk into town. Dartmouth beats Salcombe any day! Theresa is full of tips and goes the extra mile with her hospitality. We are super fussy and loved our trip xx

The Bath stone clad steps lead down to a spacious living/dining area which has access out to the 'lower deck' where there is a gas BBQ, swingball and fabulous valley views. There is plenty of rooms for canoes etc.
Dartmouth's unique location at the point where the beautiful River Dart reaches the sea has gained it a reputation as a water lover's paradise.Exploring the river by boat (and there are plenty of local companies who offer boat trips, or you could even hire out your own boat by the hour or day) is one of the most beautiful and memorable ways to take in the beautiful scenery for which Dartmouth has become famous. Dartmouth has a wonderful selection of local independent businesses, many based in beautiful locations steeped in history. And if you like shopping, the quaint, narrow streets of Dartmouth are brimming with unique boutiques, shops and galleries. Feeling hungry? There is an amazing choice of fine dining, contemporary bistros, traditional pubs and cosy cafes. The Airbnb location is not exact - we are located on South Ford Road
  • We had a relaxing weekend here over Easter (for 7 people) and couldn't have picked a more perfect spot! The house was clean and tidy and had everything you would need! Thank you for a lovely stay. Would definitely stay here again!

  • Enjoyed a really nice weekend staying at David's place with friends. Indoors was nice, comfortable bedrooms, a fully kitted kitchen, and a cosy living rooms for the evenings. Unfortunately the weather was terrible so we weren't able to enjoy the decking area but I can imagine that being nice with a bit of sunshine! In terms of location, it was just a five minute walk to the harbour, which was good as didn't want to drive down the narrow street more than necessary! Overall a great trip and would definitely go back.

  • We had a fantastic time in Dartmouth and Penwill was perfect for a young (6 and 3) family of four. Being a few minutes walk from the town centre was great, whether for the crabbing, restaurants or access to the Paignton via the ferry and steam train from Kingswear. Access to Penwill on South Ford Road was fairly tight and parking in the town is limited so having access to a garage was a bonus. Penwill itself was comfortable, clean and had all the mod cons and we couldn't really fault it. All in all, an excellent week and thanks to our host David who was great!

  • Lovely house near the centre of Dartmouth, great communication before arrival, check in was nice and easy, highly recommended!

  • Fantastic spot for enjoying a stay in Dartmouth. The accommodation was perfect and for anyone that knows the town the car parking/garage space is a real bonus. Will definitely recommend and would stay again.

  • This is a great location in a stunning part of what our great country has to offer in Dartmouth. We ate in one night taking most of our food already prepared. There was enough equipment that you can cook in the apartment. The town is a five minute walk. It was great to have the space to tuck the car away as parking is very sought after. The men went off to play golf not too far away, while we explored the many individual shops and delis serving great coffee and treats. The apartment was clean, cosy and we will be back. Nothing was too much trouble for our host.

Brixham is a very family friendly town with many attractions for the whole family. Lilac Cottage is a pretty, newly refurbished, but still traditional, fishermans cottage situated on a pedestrian hill in the old part of Brixham - safe for kids and dogs - just 2 or 3 minutes walk from the town and harbour. There are 2 double bedrooms, ensuite bathroom and separate shower room, sitting room, kitchen, dining room and garden with BBQ.
Lilac Cottage is a pretty fishermans cottage typical of Brixham. It has 2 bedrooms, new, hand made kitchen, dining room, new bathroom and separate shower room. There are lovely sea views from the top floor of the cottage and the garden which has seating and dining areas + BBQ. There is a pretty sitting room and is newly decorated throughout. All just a short walk (2 or 3 mins) from all Brixham has to offer
Brixham is a traditional fishing port with some of the best fish caught daily. This can be purchased from the fish quay to cook or BBQ or eaten in one of the many cafes and restaurants along the harbour. Try the frequent ferries to Torquay, Paighnton and Dartmouth for a day out - no car needed!
  • Fantastic cottage, excellent communication prior to and during our stay. A couple of issues which came up were resolved quickly and allowed us to have a fantastic family holiday. Excellent location, very handy (even if you need to get used to the steep incline!), all in all a very good experience for me and our family

    Paul2016-08-07T00:00:00Z
  • This is an amazing house! The house is comprised of three floors, very clean with modern decor and amenities. Lovely terraced garden overlooking the harbour where we enjoyed relaxing in the evening with a bottle of wine. Located on a steep hill, which can be tricky with heavy suitcases and pushchairs, it also gives rise to amazing views from the bedroom and lounge area. Gary was a great host, communicating detailed directions and responding promptly to any queries. All in all, we had a fantastic few days at the house and Brixham and the surrounding area are beautiful. Thank you!

    Steve2017-06-16T00:00:00Z
  • This is how a holiday cottage should be. Immaculate presentation with wonderful views over Brixham harbour from the lovely terrace outside. Close to all the restaurants, shops and harbour. Good communication from Gary and made our first airbnb a good experience. Can't wait to return. Thanks Gary.

    raymond2017-04-02T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful stay in Lilac Cottage. It is beautifully decorated and has a wonderful garden with fab views of the harbour and in an excellent location just off the main 'high street'. I have already recommended it to our friends who live in Brixham who often have guests to stay and am planning my next visit for as soon as possible. Gary and Kathy couldn't have been more helpful before and it really felt like home for our long weekend.

    Hannah2017-08-29T00:00:00Z
  • Lilac cottage is absolutely brilliant. It was everything we could have hoped for plus more! It was a home from home, decorated stunningly throughout and with everything we could have wanted in the cottage including all kitchen equipment, books, bbq. Great that our dogs were welcomed too. Brixham was a perfect location, with lots to do, but still quiet and serene. Would definitely go back. Great value for money too!

    Claire2017-03-19T00:00:00Z
  • Had a great stay at lilac cottage, owner gave helpful directions to get to the cottage. On arrival the cottage was as explained and had everything we needed. Good location to visit other lovely towns too.

    Rachel2016-07-22T00:00:00Z
  • I travelled with my family ( 4 people). We found it very nice and comfortable. It was even better than the pictures show. The house was just renovated and is very nice decorated. There is a really big terrace with a BBQ which we used quite a bit. Also it was nice to sit outside and have our breakfast in the mornings. There is also a lot to do around Brixham and you can reach surrounding habours easily with a ferry. All in all we had a great stay at Lilac Cottages and can only recommend it!

    Thorsten2016-06-12T00:00:00Z
  • A great place to stay. The cottage was very tastefully done, clean and comfortable. Also very convenient for Brixham town centre and all amenities. Parking is a bit of an issue at times as the roads above are narrow and steep. Highly recommended nevertheless.

We are a small friendly bed and breakfast in the centre of Dartmouth, right on the waterfront, with views of the river and sea. The River Room is a small en-suite double on the ground floor with a king sized bed. Unlimited parking is 10-15 minutes walk away. Nearby there is free parking from 4pm until 11am from May until September if there is a space available. From October until April there is unlimited parking nearby, space permitting.
On waterfront in the town centre, close to shops and restaurants and entertainment. Bedroom is on the ground floor. The bedroom is a double room but we have a single price of £45 for one person. The bedroom is en-suite with a walk-in shower. It has a flat screen TV, WIFI, hairdryer, tea and coffee making services, fridge and use of iron and ironing board.
I love Dartmouth, especially the river. There are many boat trips to be had up the river and out to sea. In town there are several restaurants to choose from and live entertainment and cinema. Dartmouth has many festivals throughout the year including the Music festival in May, Regatta in August and Food festival in October. The 2017 Music Festival is 12th, 13th and 14th May. (Minimum 2 nights stay to include Friday and Saturday). Dartmouth Regatta always includes the last Friday in August. (Minimum stay 3 nights to include Thursday, Friday and Saturday)
  • Very hospitable hosts in a idealy positioned home. Breakfast looking at the river Dart. Everything good for our stay at Dartmouth.

    Peter2015-10-04T00:00:00Z
  • Our hosts were very friendly and welcoming. The location of the B&B was perfect, our room was compact but well appointed. Breakfast did not disappoint; full English on the first morning complemented by lovely home-made jams and selection of fruits and cereals.Stunning views from the dining room window.

    Eveline2015-04-27T00:00:00Z
  • Fab location with great views! Very welcoming hosts and a yummy English breakfast to finish our stay!

    Lindsey2016-09-25T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay at Eight Bells. The room itself is cozy rather than grand - with a king size bed which is a welcome sight after a day of walking (despite being a bit creaky!). The breakfast room has fantastic views over the Dart to Kingswear and out to sea. Breakfast was delicious and set us up for the day ahead, with plenty cereal and fruit on offer as well as a cooked breakfast of our choice. The location is perfect, and you're only a short walk away from either ferry. The town centre is just around the corner, with plenty options for eating and drinking. Walk ten minutes up the hill and you're lush surroundings, with the coastal path and Dartmouth Castle to explore. A word about the hosts: it was a real pleasure to meet Lizzie and Christopher and they couldn't have done more to make us feel welcome. From the moment we arrived we felt we could treat their house as our home, and they went out of their way to make sure we had a great stay. I managed to leave my day pack at home (clever) and Lizzie was only too happy to lend me hers which had seen a fair bit of traveling and had some tales! When she found out our plans for the day she dug out an OS map for us so we wouldn't get lost, which was a real help. A word of advice for drivers: there is parking outside, but between 11-6 you can only park for a couple of hours before having to move on. There is free parking round towards the castle, but it is a bit of a walk away. I'd recommend dropping your stuff off at the lodgings first. Thanks again Lizzie and Christopher. We hope to see you again.

    Linz2016-06-06T00:00:00Z
  • Lizzie was extremely welcoming and our room was very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious with fantastic views over the harbour. We will stay here again.

  • Lizzie and her husband made me feel welcome and provided everything in their description. They were easy going, and let me stay in the house during the day to study. Excellent location near to restaurants and town centre. My room had a sea view which we lovely.

  • Lizzie's place was absolutely lovely. The room was comfortable, location very central and check in was easy and she was very accommodating. Breakfast was fantastic and the views from the dining room were beautiful- it's right on the waterfront and you can watch the boats go past as you're eating. Would go back for sure!

Our place is close to restaurants, bars and cafes. It is right on the river Dart with fantastic views of the river and the castle. Only a small walk into town where everything is there for a perfect holiday.
Our apartment is by the river, so there are many steps down from the road, approx 100 ! However there are hand rails each side & lights at night. The view is amazing and part of the experience to reach the riverside! Please look for two houses with bow windows one yellow, one pale blue, nearly opposite is our sign GALLANTS QUAY,on a stone wall.Go through the iron gate, turn left & go down steps towards the river.
The area is great for exploring. Walking around Dartmouth which is full of history, many old buildings, and so near the river with boats & ferries. We have a cinema & theatre and many cafes, pubs & individual shops. Take a trip up river to pretty villages for a cream tea! Many walks start from here coastal & inland ,all waiting for you to find.
  • Brilliant host and an utterly beautiful location with stunning bedroom views and easy accessibility to Dartmouth's town centre.

    Richard2017-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely stay at Gallants Quay. The apartment is very spacious and comfortable, including a big garden next to the waterfront. It's close to the centre of town and has great views over the bay - so even if you get caught in English bank holiday rain like us you can still enjoy the area. Liz was a very friendly and accommodating host.

    Poppy2017-05-01T00:00:00Z
  • This apartment is in a beautiful location just next to the river in Dartmouth. The views are fantastic and the location is quiet and secluded but only about a 10 minute walk into the middle of Dartmouth. The apartment was open-plan with a well-equipped kitchen. It was very easy to check-in and although there isn't parking right next to the apartment we managed to get a space about 10 minutes walk away from the apartment. Dartmouth is quite hilly so this is worth bearing in mind when travelling with some luggage, and there are quite a few steps you have to go down to access the apartment from the road. We had a lovely time staying here for a few days in Dartmouth.

    Catherine2017-04-14T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic views. Bathroom and kitchen would be better for updating.

    Elaine2017-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • The place is everything about location. Views are stunning and you have a front row seat to any river activities. Perfect for a quiet secluded break but close to town for everything. You need to be reasonably fit though as the steps everyone refers to are quite demanding. Well worth the effort though.

    Clive2017-04-09T00:00:00Z
  • Had a lovely stay at Gallants Quay. Arrived late but the lights and heaters had been put on for us so it was lovely and cosy. Beautiful views across the river and very peaceful. Needed to be fit to get up the 112 steps in the morning though!

    Rachael2017-03-19T00:00:00Z
  • This is a magical mini-cottage. Right on the most beautiful waterfront with amazing views. Well appointed and quite spacious with a lovely garden area for sunbathing or eating out looking over the water and boats. Take the warning about the steps seriously, there really are a lot of them!

    Caroline2017-09-18T00:00:00Z
  • Brilliant little open plan apartment by the docks. Liz was very welcoming and helped us with good places to visit. The apartment had everything needed for our short break. The bed was comfy, the shower warm and bright sunshine lit up the room with an orange glow. Perfect for the two of us. We loved our stay and didn't even mind the flight of stairs to get up to the main road. It sets you up for a good walk. I would definitely come back again

You’ll love my place because of the light, the high ceilings, the comfy bed, and the cosiness. My place is good for couples and solo adventurers. • Had a great stay at this property, the place is of a very high standard, very clean and the location's brilliant for Dartmouth.

  • Wonderful top floor flat in a very central location with off road parking. Angela was a wonderful host and the flat is gorgeous. Highly recommended! Ideal place for someone looking to explore Dartmouth with the option to self cater or visit one of the many wonderful restaurants right around the corner.

    Will2017-08-13T00:00:00Z
  • This flat is perfect. Comfortable, spotlessly clean, lovely decor, well-equipped kitchen, roof terrace to sit on and watch the world go by, a parking space in a town where parking must be troublesome, and a friendly hostess to boot. I can't say enough nice things about it, really. We only stayed 2 nights and were gutted to have to leave. If you're hiring a car for your trip (as we did) I would suggest hiring a smallish one because when Angela says the road is narrow she doesn't just mean country-lane-narrow she means west-country-seaside-town narrow which is a whole other ball game! Idyllic.

    Debbie2017-06-25T00:00:00Z
  • Angela's place was an idyllic haven, perfect for a quite weekend away. My partner and I found Angela to be wonderful, from initial communication in the run up to the stay, a really warm welcome upon arrival and then left us to our own devices which was perfect! The apartment itself was beautiful and clean with everything we needed (even a chilled bottle of wine in the fridge, which was a great touch!). We wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone!

    Kate2017-07-09T00:00:00Z
  • Angela's Airbnb was exactly what we wanted. Central location, extremely comfortable, Angela has thought of everything. The use of her garage is fantastic. The apartment is separated from the main house in a way which means you can have a really private stay. Thanks guys having us!

    Deborah2017-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • Angela and Chris were extremely accommodating around check-in and the property was spotless upon arrival. The apartment is perfectly located; only 3 mins walk to the town centre but also very private and with a lovely garden. The property also has a garage which is ideal for anyone driving to Dartmouth. I would 100% recommend this property to anyone visiting! Thanks guys!

  • This is an extremely comfortable, high quality, garden apartment, beautifully decorated and with every comfort. Angela and Chris have thought of everything and extend a warm welcome to guests. It is a private apartment in a house and garden which is full of character. It is in a quiet location (with a very welcome garage) but only minutes from the facilities of beautiful Dartmouth. Highly recommended.

  • Beautiful house, lovely en-suite room, in prime central location. Perfect for wandering around Dartmouth and for visiting the music festival (or food festival or regatta). Robert is a great host - he will help you to figure out where to park if needed, and has heaps of knowledge about the area. The room is great - has space to sit, is beautifully decorated, with a great little shower room. No clothes hanging space unfortunately but this is not a problem if you are only staying for a few days. Quiet room, really comfortable bed. We loved it!!

Good location (church bells not distracting or overly loud), good facilities (appreciated the small touches like phone recharger), excellent directions, stylish yet homely. Tried out the pub for a drink (one for the locals not visitors, but friendly and accommodating), and the restaurant across the road - good food and good value too! Located at the top of a peaceful riverside village, this end of terrace house looks over the beautiful river Dart and surrounding countryside. It has been recently renovated to create a comfortable, light filled open plan living space including a well equipped kitchen. There are two bedrooms, one with en-suite shower room. The spacious second bathroom has a great bath in addition to a shower. Outside you can enjoy the sunny terrace with BBQ and deck chairs.
The house is split over two floors with the open plan living area on the first floor along with the main bedroom and en-suite with shower. The Kitchen has a ceramic hob, oven, microwave, large fridge freezer, kettle, toaster and all the usual things. The living room houses an extensive book collection, open fire and TV with DVD player. We don't have live TV but you can get catch up and watch DVDs. The second bedroom is on the ground floor along with a large bathroom (with roomy bath and shower), laundry area and office space. Both floors have access to the outside.
The river Dart is easily one of the prettiest of the UK. Its lush tree lined banks and sweeping bends are host to many attractions such as National Trust properties, lively village pubs and even an award winning vineyard. The naval town of Dartmouth and small village of Kingswear with its brightly painted cottages, perch on the final stretch of the river banks where it meets the sea. The south west coast path is particularly stunning here. Beaches are minutes away and the towns of Paignton, Torquay and Totnes a short drive.
  • Lovely place with stunning views. We really enjoyed our stay thank you.

  • A beautiful house with incredible views, along with an helpful and responsive host - I can't recommend staying here highly enough! Great location for trips all over Devon. Lots to do for all ages all within an hours drive. The house was well equipped for our stay with our 1 year old meaning we could pack 'light'. Even whilst out of the country, Anna responded to our messages promptly and very helpfully. Thank you for allowing us to stay in your home!

  • Excellent communication prior to arrival. Place was just perfect for usand as described. It was well kept & equipped. We had a wonderful stay in a beautiful home. Well located for exploring the area, we parked our car on arrival and didn't move it till we left. We will definitely visit again.

  • We had a terrific stay at Anna's Kingswear House. Her place is beautifully decorated, impeccably clean and well reflected in the photos. We had everything we needed. We loved the village itself and its charming hillside location (and fab views from the windows). It's very well located for visiting local sites like Dartsmouth and nearby beaches. Would definitely stay here again!

  • We had a lovely weekend at the house. Once you are inside it is tastefully decorated, lots of books and maps etc, and superb views from both bedrooms and the lounge/diner. It is 5 minutes walk down to the ferry to Dartmouth (10 mins back as uphill), past a very friendly pub The Steampacket Inn where we watched the rugby. Check in was seamless and everything was as advertised. We also had very good and quick communication with Anna which was welcome. Would happily return if visiting the area again.

  • I stayed here with my husband and 2 teenage boys. The house has a lovely feel and is in a great location for car or on foot. Would highly recommend this property.

Room 5, 17 Foss Street is a on the first floor it overlooks the street through an original sash window, Although small, it is stylish and we have compacted all the features you need for a short stay in the heart of Dartmouth. A room plan is shown so that the larger person can decide if the room is suitable. A dressing table, television, tea and coffee making facilities, ironing board, hair dryer, standard 4'6'' memory foam double bed. White linen and towels are supplied but no daily service.
This is a brilliant pedestrianised location right in the heart of Dartmouth. However there is NO parking at the address. Car parking is available in a variety of ways: a Park'n'Ride at the top of the town which drops you on the embankment just 3 mins from the front door, a pay and display car park opposite Marks & Spencer's Food Hall in Mayors Avenue, 1hr & 2hr restricted spaces around the town (including one area less than a minute from the front door) and also free spaces dotted all over the town. You can always park somewhere in Dartmouth.
In summer Dartmouth is a busy bustling coastal town and can get very busy with a great atmosphere.
  • It's not what I expected from air 'b 'n 'b , but it's good value for the money.

  • Good stay. The room was very central. A mini-fridge would have been helpful.

  • The best place to stay if you visit Dartmouth, it's a perfect spot close to everything !

  • Very clean and comfortable accommodation. The room was small but was exactly as advertised. The parking is a bit of a pain in Dartmouth as we had to get up before 8am to put a ticket on the car, however, the room is a great central location and great value for money so overall this outweighed the parking issue. Thanks for the stay.

Beautiful views over the river from the breakfast table, but not from our room (we had the back rooms). Accommodation was comfortable but small and little space to move around and put our things.

  • Really enjoyed our stay with (EMAIL HIDDEN)fy room that is good for friends sharing or a family. • We had a lovely last minute holiday with our baby daughter. This cosy chalet was just what we needed. Very close to the Dartmouth and local amenities. We recommend to Blackpool sands beach and Dartmouth castle, both a 15 minute drive away. We saw friends and family, and had a day trip to Totnes. The location of the chalet is lovely, very quiet and remote. The chalet was very clean and tidy, with everything you could want. We managed to fit out travel cot next to the bed. Fantastic time and great value for money.

    Sarah2016-07-20T00:00:00Z
  • Superb little Chalet. Ideal for a couple or small family looking to visit Dartmouth. The chalet is very well kept and has all the provisions needed. We had a great time cycling around the local area. Location is in easy reach of local supermarkets and the park and ride. Looking forward to our next visit. Thabks for everything.

  • Our two days at Aileen's little chalet (a little gem) was part of a nostalgia trip for my wife and I around Torbay/South Hams/Dartmoor. We could not have chosen a better place to stay in Dartmouth, just far enough away (5 minutes drive) from Town Centre, on a quiet holiday park. The Chalet was a delight to stay in, with everything you could possibly need for comfort and convenience (two supermarkets, Sainsbury's and Lidl close by). A 'thumbs-up' Aileen and looking forward to our next stay at your delightful chalet.

    Graham2016-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • The chalet is very nice very well looked after Aileen is was so helpful and will definitely use again

    Joan2017-07-30T00:00:00Z
  • This chalet and host were a joy! Even though I have a dairy intolerance, Aileen provided lactofree milk, along with everything else I needed. The site was immaculate and quiet, and close to Dartmouth. I had a lovely weekend break, made all the nicer by the comfortable and we'll equipped chalet. Thank you, I will be telling my friends.

    Tina2016-09-20T00:00:00Z
  • Aileen was very communicative and very helpful when I asked for suggestions about places to visit. The chalet is spotless, well furnished and has everything you need for a comfortable stay including a comfy bed! It's only a short drive to Dartmouth. The Park and Ride is good value and regular. Blackpool Sands is more pebble than sand but a beautiful spot. Basic provisions including milk, bread, butter, tea and coffee were much appreciated.

    Samantha2016-07-28T00:00:00Z
  • My boyfriend and I thoroughly enjoyed our week long stay at the chalet. It was well equipped with everything you could need. There's a large Sainsbury's and Lidl only a few mins drive away. The chalet is also well positioned for visiting nearby places such as Dartmouth, Totnes, Kingsbridge and Torquay etc. We wouldn't hesitate to visit again.

  • My boyfriend and I had a lovely, relaxing stay at The Granary. The place has been lovingly furnished with care and attention to detail. It is also well located - a quick walk down to Kingswear waterfront, or else on to the coastal foothpath. Emma was unfortunately busy whilst we were visiting, so we didn't get to meet. However she kept in touch throughout our stay, making sure we had everything we needed, and so still felt very welcome.

  • We had a great stay at the Granary. We arrived late after work and Emma was very accommodating. The information provided before we arrived was really helpful and we found the place easily. The Granary was very clean and nice decorated. It is a great cosy place to stay. The small touches that Emma added such as local fudge, homemade flapjacks and free range eggs from their farm were lovely.

  • We had a lovely time at the Granary. The views from the farm are amazing and everything you need is a short walk / ferry ride away. Emma and Edward were excellent hosts, making sure we had everything we needed, as well as giving useful local info and great recommendations for restaurants – we had an amazing dinner at the Seahorse! The Granary itself is lovely and very comfortable. Would definitely recommend!

  • We had a fantastic stay at the Granary. Emma provided great information in advance of our trip, left us a lovely breakfast and some delicious home baking. The Granary had everything you could think of for a perfect stay.

  • We had a fantastic stay at the Granary. Emma and Edward are warm, welcoming hosts. Emma made contact with us in advance, checking our preferences for breakfast and met our special dietary requirements. She responded very quickly to our messages if we had any questions and at the same time was always respectful of our privacy. The Granary is peaceful, extremely clean, a well-designed functional space, better than the photos on the listing! The bed is amazingly comfortable, with clean, soft sheets and towels. We had some lovely walks in the surrounding area and were given plenty of ideas as well as guidebooks and maps. There are some good quality books and DVDs, guests are welcome to borrow. Excellent cooking facilities and wonderful drinking water from a nearby spring. And of course, delicious organic eggs from the farm. Thank you.

Peaceful flat in rural Devon. Glorious walks by River Dart and the sea. 15 minute walk to Agatha Christie's house, Greenway. Sailing, canoeing, beaches. Small self-contained flat, fully equipped kitchen, TV, wifi, central heating, parking.
The space is self-contained and with a kitchen, so you'll be able to make meals if you wish. There are cafes and pubs not far away if you prefer to eat out.
Greenway and Coleton Fishacre are close by - and both are beautiful National Trust properties. Coleton with glorious garden and access to cliff path walks. Dartmouth, Brixham, Totnes and Dartington are all within 30 minutes by car. Slapton Sands (bird watching), Start Point and Beesands are a good outing beyond Dartmouth. Boat trips on the River Dart, a steam train, canoeing, sailing, beaches. Great walks from the door. We're directly on several marked footpaths. So make sure you stay long enough to enjoy some of these!
  • The annexe is located at the end of a country lane, just 2 mins from a lovely national trust site with spectacular views. Rosemary made us feel very welcome and was on hand to give us a quick insight into the local area. Any problems that we had she went out of her way to resolve and overall was a wonderful host. We visited in November and the annexe was a warm and cosy little place for the two of us to relax and enjoy the peace of the countryside. We visited some lovely places nearby and ate at some great little pubs around the area. We particularly enjoyed the Old Market House in Brixham. This is a great place to get away from the pace of the city and take some time out for walks and warming food.

Highview House is a beautiful old Grade 2 listed Town House dating back to 1792. It sits one road from the waterfront and enjoys spectacular views of the River Dart and out to sea. The house channels the laid back luxury of a boutique hotel in the intimate setting of a private holiday let.
The house is a four-storey Town House in a street of similar elegant properties close to the centre of Town. In total there are four double bedrooms one with a king size bed, one a super king and the other two bedrooms have two singles which can be made in to super kings upon request. There are two large bedrooms on the ground floor, one of which has a spacious en suite bathroom with walk-in shower and dressing room. On the first floor there is a very large bedroom with view to the harbour as well as a bathroom with bath and over bath shower. On the second floor is the living room consisting of fully fitted kitchen, refectory table and seating area with sofas. It has two large windows affording a fine view of the river towards the sea. There is also a small bathroom on this floor. On the top floor is the attic room with obviously the best view of all. A large window offers spectacular views across the River Dart and out to sea.
Highview House itself is situated on Newcomen Road which is in the centre of Dartmouth, a stone's throw from the waterfront and all of the shops and restaurants. The town of Dartmouth takes much of its special character from its deep secluded harbour. In earlier times it was a centre for pirates for their raids and later on the Navy and the Free French used it for secret missions to Northern France during World War II. It has seen great gatherings of vessels that set out for the Crusades or to combat the Spanish Armada and the Pilgrim Fathers began their great adventure hardly a stone's throw from Highview House. The attraction of the river is increased by the natural beauty of the surrounding countryside which has attracted great artists and writers of the past such as Turner, Pisarro, Robert Graves, John Masefield, Christopher Milne, Daniel Defoe and Agatha Christie. This continues today, exemplified by the group of artists known as the "Dartmouth Five".
  • This house is amazing, beautifully designed with everything you could possibly need. The view from the living room was magical and we had a fantastic time exploring the beautiful South Hams from such a central location.

  • Highview House is a wonderful property set within easy walking distance of the town of Dartmouth. Offering fantastic views over the River Dart and Kingswear, we found this the perfect property for spending a long weekend exploring and enjoying all the wonderful food that Dartmouth has to offer. Caroline has put a lot of effort into the interior of the house which is beautifully designed and suited every need. Caroline is a wonderful host and I would highly recommend this property to anyone.

    James2017-09-05T00:00:00Z
  • The Highview House is a little gem in terms of comfort, location and overall experience. The place was beautifully decorated with the most soothing colour schemes and decor. The attic room had the most amazing views of the river and the lovely houses. The house is very well located and you can walk to most places including the Dartmouth Castle, ferry ride etc. There are lovely restaurants, cafes and tea rooms within walking distance. If you are driving you need to be aware because of the central location there is no parking. There is, however, free street parking for two hours so there is no problem with loading and unloding your luggage. There is free street parking from 6 pm till 8 am in the morning. The rest of the time you can either park in the "park and ride" or Mayor's Avenue car park which is only 5 minutes away. Overall we had a fabulous experience and we would definitely recommend this place. Parvathi

  • Caroline is a great host who was extremely helpful in the build up and during our stay. The house itself is gorgeous and clean and in a great location! Perfect for what we needed. We parked outside the house using free parking after 530pm and moved the cars at 10am the next morning to the park and ride. If you want to park in the mayors avenue car park you need to get a permit and keep in mind it takes a few days to arrive.

  • High View is a very well designed town house. Nice artistic flourishes in every room. A proper British coastal holiday venue. Would visit again.

    Jonathan2017-07-28T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay, Caroline has put so much effort in to the house, with great decoration, amazing pieces which make it all look superb. The location was great, with stunning views. I was little apprehensive about the parking but it proved no problem, between parking outside the house, up the street a little, or the park and ride. Would highly recommend this property, and Caroline was a great host with helpful recommendations, the seahorse was wonderful for my mums birthday.

  • Lovely house with a fantastic location. Lots to see and do in Dartmouth. Would definitely return. First class accommodation in beautiful surroundings with wonderful pubs and restaurants close by.

    James2017-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • The house had everything we needed and the location was perfect. The children loved that they could go crabbing just across the road in such an idyllic location. The house was a short walk into town and close to many local attractions. The beds were really comfy and we looked forward to a good night sleep after one of our many coastal walks. We would definitely recommend Highview house and it ticked all our boxes and more.

Underhill is a beautiful, seaside cottage ideal for long weekends and summer holidays. Located just 7 minutes drive from bustling Dartmouth and 28 minutes from Totnes train station (which runs directly to London), it's a little slice of coastal tranquility with plenty to do nearby. A short drive to Blackpool Sands (also walkable, although with a bit of a hill on the way back), it's perfect for those who love the beach.
Underhill boasts 3 good-sized bedrooms (one double, one king and one super-king) and a large kitchen. Lovingly furnished as our second home, the cottage also has a lovely garden and real log burner in the living room for the winter months.
Stoke Fleming is a delightful little seaside community. Underhill is between Stoke Fleming and Dartmouth on a little stretch of quiet road but if you want a bit of entertainment of an evening, head to one of the many bars or restaurants in Dartmouth.
  • Beautiful house, big rooms, cosy and well equipped. Great location, near to Dartmouth, handy for Sainsburys, an indoor and outdoor swimming pool and the lovely Blackpool Sands beach. Would highly recommend and hope to revisit again.

  • Kathryn's house was so homely and clean, we had such a fantastic weekend. Blackpool sands is the most beautiful beach, about two minutes drive. You can nip down for a swim before breakfast. The rooms are all so comfortable and we all felt very much at home strait away. Kat was very communicative and helpful, we were all very sorry to leave! Hope to be back soon!

    Ben2017-09-25T00:00:00Z
  • Kathryn's home is beautifully decorated and offers fantastic views of the sea. I would highly recommend the master bedroom as I slept so well! The house had everything we could need - wifi, kitchen appliances, TV and a very comfortable lounge area. I would love to spend some more time in this peaceful and relaxing place - we were down for a wedding and did not get to spend enough time at the house! The only thing I would say is that it would be good to get locks on the bathroom and downstairs toilet. We also visited Blackpool sands which is a short drive away and is definitely worth a look and we had a great breakfast in Dartmouth before we left.

  • The house is beautiful, all 3 bedrooms are good size doubles and the house was very clean. It has a very rustic feel and lovely sea view. I can recommend the sportsmans pub closeby for pub lunch!

The cottage is very central but one road back so its quiet and very little traffic. Its also a completely flat walk!
  • Nauti Cottage was brilliant for our requirements. We visited as a couple with my 75 year old mum. It worked well for us all...mum is an early riser so was able to walk into Dartmouth and the water within 5 minutes and she felt really safe. We were delighted with the location, the layout of the rooms and outside space which was a real bonus in the heart of the town. Would not hesitate to recommend and hope to return in the future.

  • Great location, fab house! Lindsay had prepared everything you need to know. We are certainly going back!

  • Fabulous location within Dartmouth town itself. A quiet location within a very short walk of Dartmouth's waterfront, restaurants and shops.

    Ian2016-11-06T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely cosy cottage in a great location in Dartmouth town centre. Parking was only a short walk so not a problem. Cottage had everything we needed and felt very homely. Would definitely recommend even for anyone travelling with a baby like us.

  • Such a lovely cottage in a great location close by to the shops and around the corner from a fabulous bakery and delicious Indian restaurant. The house is nautically decorated (as the name of the cottage suggests) and the kids were enthralled. It has a pretty terrace at the back, perfect for a BBQ if the weather is right and all the kitchen facilities you need for a family. The only thing I would take into consideration if recommending to someone else is the age/mobility of the guests. We were fine but my folks who are over 70 might find the stairs a bit steep, especially going p to the top floor. Otherwise I would wholeheartedly recommend. Thanks for a lovely stay!

    Annabel2017-06-11T00:00:00Z
  • A very well situated cottage, clean and cosy. The host Lindsay was very helpful! Everything you could want was catered for. Would recommend to anyone looking for a cottage on the flat local to all amenities. Thank you Lindsay.

    Valerie2016-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • My partner and I stayed here for 2 nights and had a lovely time. The house is compact, but has everything we needed including a great shower, a comfy bed and decent internet speed. Parking is a short walk away from the house, but that is not a problem, in fact we would recommend taking a 30 minute stroll around the town and little side streets as there are some charming shops and bits of history. We had a few requests to make of Lindsay and she was very flexible and helpful.

    Gary2017-01-08T00:00:00Z
  • This is a great cottage - superbly renovated with all the facilities a family needs. Every element has been well-thought out and we wanted for nothing during our stay. It is perfectly positioned to explore Dartmouth - we parked the car and did not use it for 3 days! A wonderfully relaxing break and even in February there was plenty to see and do.

After booking the correspondence was efficient and quick with clear instructions of how to get there and park etc. Upon arrival the cottage was spotless and the photos do not lie, it's a wonderful place. • This is a lovely comfortable house and we felt at home immediately. It is light and airy with beautiful furnishings and decoration. The house is situated in the centre of town with easy access to all amenities. This is ideal if, like us, you do not want to drive. The house was really clean, and very well equipped, we really cannot fault anything. We did not meet Lindsay but she was very helpful when I needed to contact her. I would definitely stay here again and will recommend to family and friends.

Delightful Edwardian home, originally built for the Britannia Royal Naval College, now offering a warm & friendly B&B in a quiet, elevated position, hence the flight of steps (to make the most of the river views), yet only a few minutes from the historic town of Dartmouth.
Your comfortable room is located on the ground floor of this pretty cottage. The private bathroom is a few short steps away on the first floor. A continental breakfast will be set up for guests in the kitchen and can be eaten either in the dining room or outside on the terrace.
  • Barbara was the perfect host. Making us very welcome in her beautiful home. And some helpful recommendations to local restaurants. Great position with only a short walk to the town centre. Lovely weather made Dartmouth even more appealing. Thanks Barbara for a perfect couple of days , be back again soon.... Clare & Paul

  • Our last-minute week-end holiday to Dartmouth was greatly enhanced by staying with Barbara. The accommodation was excellent (spotless, comfortable bed, WiFi, cable TV, good shower, tea/coffee in room etc) and we enjoyed our conversations over breakfast and getting to learn about the area. Barbara is a very welcoming host.

  • A lovely caravan with lots of special touches, like DVDs books, tea, coffee & milk. The site is lovely too with things for children to do. A small shop with all the essentials and more. The pool, bar, restaurant and show room all looked great but we didn't use them. There's an hourly bus service at the park entrance if you don't drive. Lots of scenic walks but you need to be fit to get to the secluded beach (lots of steps). Great holiday and will return

  • A great base to explore Devon. The holiday site was small and friendly and really close to the gorgeous coast path. And a short train ride from Churston to Kingswear and Dartmouth. The caravan was clean, comfortable and well equipped with all cooking utensils, fridge freezer and basics like olive oil and salt/pepper which is always great when self catering. Thanks for a lovely stay I would definitely recommend!

A stylish & modern garden studio with some of Dartmouth's best views, The Lookout is just 2 minutes walk from the centre of town. With its own private sun terrace & panoramic harbour views, it's the perfect place to relax & watch the world float by.
The Lookout is a stylish and modern garden studio with some of Dartmouth's best views. Facilities include: Contemporary bedroom + spacious en-suite shower; king-sized bed, bed linen, towels & soap/shampoo provided; flat screen TV/radio; under floor heating; a free parking permit for the main town centre car park (April 14 to Oct 13 only). Street parking restrictions are lifted from Sept 30, so there is plenty of free parking nearby. There is also a pay and display car park in the town centre. We do not provide breakfast but there are tea and coffee making facilities in the room and a small fridge for milk and cold drinks (it is just big enough for a bottle of wine!).
