When the rock fell, the Indians placed a portion of it upon an improvised monument to preserve it. The stone is still preserved in nearby Monterey, Tenn.”

The land was granted to his family as payment for service in the Revolutionary War and it is still in the family. If you are into history, you will enjoy a walk through this State Historic Park. Look him up before visiting to get a more complete picture.”
