Come stay in the country in our cute & cozy self-contained tiny trailer (17 feet long). Feedback from guests over 6'1 it's a tight fit in the bed. Trailer has a fridge, stove, microwave, sink, bathroom/shower. The views are amazing. The space is tiny, but adorable. Bed is a full, comfy for two. If you've ever wanted to try tiny house camping, this is your chance! View full starry night when clear. There are 2 dogs and 2 cats on our property, but we have a fenced in yard. Near Civil War cemetery.
A single person or a couple!
The neighborhood is beautiful. There is an artisan cheese farmer next door with fresh raw milk and cheese for sale. The neighbors are quiet and the houses are pretty far apart so there's a lot of privacy. The best part is the Cummington Coop Creamery right down the hill from our house. Yummy organic food, deli, wine, beer, local ice cream and awesome desserts.

Small, rustic cabin in the woods behind our home. The cabin has electricity, but no running water. Drinking and cooking water are provided from a hand pumped container. The cabin is a beautiful place to slow down, connect to nature and one's self. If you love to camp, you will love the cabin. It is the perfect locale for a personal retreat. We are happy to arrange a yoga class at our home studio as well. It is like a tree house, where all are welcome to come, simplify life and just be.
There is a full sized, comfortable bed for sleeping in the cabin, as well as a table for working or having a meal. The cabin has a dry bathroom (no plumbing), there is a wash basin and container of water for handwashing and an antique composting toilet. There is also a woodstove to heat the cabin in the chilly season. The cabin is available May-Dec. Hearty, experienced winter campers may inquire about winter rentals during the ski season. Ample firewood is provided to keep the cabin warm, though the path to the cabin may be harder to navigate if there is snow.
Cummington is a beautiful, rural town; but we are just 30 min from Shelburne Falls and Northampton as well as 45min to 1hr from the many cultural offerings of Berkshire County. There are plenty of nearby forests and parks to hike, bike, swim, fish and canoe. We are 45 min from Zoar Outdoor and Berkshire East for your outdoor adventures. We are just 5 min from the Old Creamery Coop a neighborhood treasure to grab a quick meal or pick up some groceries. There is plenty to do to fill your time while in the hilltowns. We are happy to help you plan your visit.

This spacious, sunlit, first-floor, one bedroom apartment provides a comfortable home base for your adventures. Berkshire Trail 2 min Notchview 7min Windsor Jams 10min Lenox MA 35 min Northampton 40

Or quiet your heart at the "Sunset Bench" on the hill, and listen to the Catbird chatter, the Wren's declarations, the Robin's treetop sermons and Woodland Thrushes' fluty evening vocals. And if you see that pesky buck, now in velvet, eating my rose and squash leaves, shooo him away! ;) Yes, we have wildlife, or perhaps they have us. In season, raid the berry patches! Relax in our bright, very spacious, and quiet loft, on six open acres. Lounge on the stone terrace, under the stars, by a cozy fire, near the garden. 35 min to Northampton, 35 min to MassMoca, 10 min to Berkshire East. Wi-Fi, satellite TV , cell coverage, Hearthstone wood stove. Fully outfitted kitchen, home made granola, milk, beverages. Two hybrid bikes available for use. The pics don't do the apartment justice- there are 3, 5-foot long skylights, and a cathedral ceiling= much natural light!
The apartment has a queen sized bed, coffee maker (with coffee provided), plenty of pots, pans and utensils, and a new 39" HD TV with DIRECTV satellite service. The space is newly renovated with nine new windows, and new paint on the walls, ceilings, and floors. There are three, 5 foot long skylights on the slanted ceiling- one in the living room, one in the kitchen, and one in the bathroom. There are just about six acres of open field, which faces south/southwest, and a beautiful vegetable garden with stone terraces at both ends. We also built a Black Locust pergola at the south end of the garden, which sits atop a Goshen stone terrace (we just planted grapes, but they're still very short!). There is also a fire pit at one end of the garden, and an outdoor fireplace at the other end. There are flower gardens in several spots on the property. We are 100 yards from the public library, which, itself, has recently been upgraded in a major way. Our home also houses a one room post office (300 sq. feet), which is open from 12pm to 4pm, M-F, and 8:30am to 11:30am on Saturday. It's rarely busy...
Our house is centered in the Plainfield Historical district. Plainfield is a town of less than 600 people. Very nice walks and bike rides, right outside our front door! Here's a link to a blog write up (with pics) of one guest's recent stay here... http://coreylynntuckerphotography.com/2017/12/30/non-traditional-christmas-getaway-plainfield-massachusetts-airbnb/#

Our Yurt in the Woods is a spacious 30' in diameter and yet cozy. Located on a dirt road on the edge of the Northampton watershed you can walk for miles and never see a car. We have great mountain biking trails as well. We supply good coffee, fresh well water, and a unique place for wonderful memories. 20 minutes outside of Northampton yet deeply quiet, you can have the best of both worlds... or just come to the woods to retreat from it all!
People often remark on how amazing it is to hear the owls hooting at night while nestled into a warm bed near the wood stove. The yurt could be considered a glorified tent, but the design originates in the steppes of Mongolia, and shows it's remarkable aerodynamic design when the winds blow and you barely feel it! This yurt comes from a kit, and has an insulation layer in side it. The interior space is 30' diameter so there is lots of room to dance and roll around.
We have an amazing neighborhood of dear friends and we are raising our children here on this magical, quiet dirt road. Beyond our house is nothing but forest on a two mile dirt road in the Northampton watershed. This road links up to miles of hiking and biking trails through hardwood forests.

Simple, Sunny private room walking distance to everything in Northampton, close to bike trail, short drive to mountains, lakes, breweries. Delicious food and beautiful art, and vibrant music and nightlife all at your fingertips, on a budget! Im happy to recommend the best amazing food for any budget, any cuisine, where to see the best music, art, entertainment, and even where to go for a great hike, just ask! The perfect place to take in the unique cultural gem that is the city of Northampton!
I am an artist and this room is my studio/ office/ guest room. You are welcome to use just about anything in the room except for some of the supplies and equipment I use for work which I sometimes store in this room. If there is anything you’d like to use that you are not sure about just ask. There is supplies in the closet but you are welcome to hang things there, there are several empty drawers in the dresser you are welcome to use and of course the bed and the desk are all yours to use. The room is partially basement but the window offers great light and great ventilation, usually the room stays pretty cool but the fan is yours to use too and there is a thermostat you can adjust to your liking if you are cold.
My place is close to everything! Amazing restaurants with cuisine from almost any part of the world! Awesome bars and breweries! Music and nightlife! Short drive to mountains and lakes and nature. Very close to the bike trail. A great bonus is that it is very walkable to downtown but not in the center so you don’t get any of the nighttime noise of downtown and can get great sleep! If you need recommendations just let me know!

Our guest suite overlooks our great room. It has two private bedrooms. They share a full bath and sitting area, a sliding door serves a balcony furnished with a patio table and chairs. A small refrigerator, Keurig, and drop-leaf table are indoors. Each bedroom is furnished with a queen-size real bed that has a deep, firm foam mattress.
Our two, second-floor guest rooms share a full tub-and-shower bath, access to the balcony and airy sitting room overlooking the great room of our home. Across the great room is a south-facing wall of windows which raises the temperature of the whole area on sunny days. Two rocking chairs, a sofa and a drop-leaf table and chairs furnish the sitting room, besides the small refrigerator-freezer. There is a slider to the balcony with table and chairs. It faces east across the woods that surround our recently-built home. In early-morning light, the sun sparkles off Little Robin Lake, through the leaves across the road. Each of the two guest rooms is rented separately. Each room has a comfortable queen-size real bed with deep, firm foam mattress. This one is a four-poster bed. There is a diner /convenience stores within 1 mile of our place. Another is on the edge of N. Becket about 5 miles north on Rt. 8 north from our place. Both serve very good, reasonably priced breakfasts, lunches and dinners. Becket and Lee have a wide variety of restaurants from casual counter seating to fine dining. Lee has quite a variety, including international restaurants (from Pizza to top-rate Indian food) at varied price-points. Our home is in a private community of hard-packed dirt roads, heavily wooded, 2nd-growth forest, and varied homes of charmingly individual styles and sizes. Our mixed-breed dog is very friendly once she's "told" newcomers that she's the watcher-of-the-door. We're only 3 miles east of Jacob's Pillow Dance Festival which offers a summer season of performances by varied and internationally known dance companies. There are year-round live theater and music performances within half-an-hour of our place at several venues. There are downhill ski areas about a half-hour's drive and a cross-country ski place five miles from here.
We really are located in the woods. The roads are well-maintained hard packed dirt roads. Besides occasional sounds from the nearby road, the noises come from crickets, frogs, birds and the weather. We're less than a mile's drive from the major road nearby, though. Temperatures in summer tend to be approx. 10 degrees lower than larger cities several miles away; winter tends to be colder by a few degrees.

A wonderful welcoming house in a beautiful residential neighborhood. Our favorite things to do within 15 minutes are Tanglewood, Kripalu , Mt Greylock, the Norman Rockwell Museum, skiing and hiking nearby. Our home is centrally located to all of the fun things to do in the Berkshires. We've lived here for over 20 years and are happy to provide helpful insights for your stay. One of the reasons we love the Berkshires is that each season offers wonderfully unique experiences for any visitor.
The large guest suite/studio is perfect for three people with a comfortable king-sized bed, twin bed and plus a queen-sized air mattress can be added to accommodate more guests. The spacious room also offers a private full bath, seating area (loveseat, TV and coffee table ) plus a large walk-in closet for your belongings. A mini-refrigerator is provided to guests as well as coffee maker. The guest room is located on our second floor so there are steps to get into our home as well as into the guest area.
We live directly across the street from an elementary school so the area is busy for a small period of time each morning and each afternoon when school is in session. Otherwise it is a diverse and safe neighborhood with kids traveling back and forth to the playground and adults walking, biking and running.

About the room: internet access, fresh clean sheets, extra blankets (wool, acrylic, &/or down comforter, your preference), reading lamp, writing desk, alarm clock, flashlight & nightlight, plenty of line-dried towels, 2 roomy bureaus with mirrors. Available: washer & dryer in basement, iron & ironing board, hair dryer Bonus: House is wheelchair "visitable." A ramp provides easy entrance to front door. The shower has sturdy "grab bars" & a low step tub entry. Environmentally friendly host works at Northampton's Visitor Center, spends free time traveling, putting together videos (& watching Forbes library's huge collection of videos w/ popcorn); learning to sew, taking in Arts Night Out on the 2nd Friday of each month.
I'm right on Route 66. This is a long road that starts at the gates of Smith College and does not have sidewalks on it once you've left the center of town. It's a popular road with experienced biker riders, but it can be intimidating for the novice because there are no designated bike lanes and traffic moves briskly. It's also a neighborhood that sees joggers and dog-walkers. They do pass the block in front of my house and generally duck into the nearby cul-de-sacs to get a mellower traffic pattern during "rush hours" (7 to 8AM, 4:30 to 5:30PM).

We are a few minutes walk to the centre of Northampton with the Roost and Nourish at the end of our street where you can get great coffee or juice in the morning. Its a 5 min drive to Smith and everything is easily reached by bike or car. Some of our neighbors have graduated from Smith, and our street is quiet and friendly. Our house is simple warm and cozy with lots of wood and books and instruments. We would love you to feel at home and use ours!
Northampton is a wonderful town and our location is perfect to stroll around the centre by foot. Farmers markets are in walking distance, Thornes, Cornucopia, The friendly ghost bakery is one of my favorites.

The Deer Hill House was built in 1832 as a post and beam Hotel by the mill down the road. It's been an Inn, a Dance Hall, a Cafe' and is now 4 separate units under one roof. The house is located on a quiet country road with the river across the street, Deer Hill behind the house and our large open yard. This is a sunlit, second floor, one bedroom apartment. It is cozy enough to relax, hang out and enjoy, or be your home base while you go off adventuring. Dog friendly with conversation prior.
The apartment comfortably sleeps two. It feels a bit "intimate" when sleeping more on an air mattress in the living room but it's doable. Very comfortable having a number of people during the day. The kitchen packs a large table, "coffee station" full size fridge and stove, microwave and toaster. Well stocked for easy meal prep. The living room is set up with a couch and comfy chair, game table with board games and relaxing atmosphere. There is a second one bedroom apartment available for airbnb on the first floor as well. https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/27342018?s=51 If you feel our place would be a good fit for your dog and you would like to bring him/her along, let us know when you book. We ask that if you plan to leave your dog alone in the apartment that they are in a dog crate while your gone. (May be possible to provide one. Lets talk first) If you allow your dog on the bed and or couch please bring a clean sheet or blanket to cover them first. We love dogs here and are open to helping out in whatever way we can when available.
Our neighborhood includes the west branch of the Westfield River. Not only breath taking views but is considered by some Anglers as the best kept secret for Fly Fishing Trout. We are a little village of sorts with a scattering of homes, a parish house, beautiful small Church and stroll worthy roads. It is not uncommon after a snow storm to see people on their xcountry skis going by.

Rustic Living at its Finest! Private, light-filled yurt is perfect for a romantic getaway. Artists, Musicians, and Writers will find this an ideal space to promote creativity. Nestled in the forest, this cozy yurt is wood-heated and completely off-grid. Excellent hiking, biking, skiing and snowshoeing on site. Explore nearby towns, farms, restaurants and sugar shacks! Bathroom and electricity to charge devices, etc are in the main house.
A unique find, this yurt comes with bamboo floors, a gorgeous round skylight (perfect for moon and star gazing through the trees) and is furnished with a brand-new bed and new down pillows and comforter and a rocking chair for relaxing by the fire. We keep a variety of teas and a kettle you can just heat on the stove in there. Must be comfortable operating a wood stove, unless it's summer. Because of the lack of electricity and wiring, your nervous system can settle in a different way than if in a traditional building. Pretty rare to find these days! Also, curved lattice walls are awesome - just saying.
Trees, trees and more trees! This is an ideal getaway. Go for a hike in our woods and you won't have to see a soul if you don't want to. A few quaint little eating places (even a co-op!) within a 10 min drive, and if you want to venture a bit further (20-30 mins) you have a TON of restaurant options. We are 10 minutes away from the Earthdance community. Shelburne Falls and the Bridge of Flowers is 20 mins northeast of us, Five college area 30 mins south, and Tanglewood and all the Berkshires has to offer 1 hour west. This is a great place to land if you intend to make day trips to any of these areas and want to have a sanctuary to return to in the evening.
