  • We loved our stay at Baileys Retreat Cabin. The views are breathtaking, the cabin is adorable and very comfortable. The hosts are there if you need anything but at the same time give you the privacy you want. We will for sure be returning to Baileys Cabin, but for a longer amount of time.

  • We had a great stay. Beautiful views and tons of fun.

    Dan2017-10-24T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing view and the owners were extremely nice. Highly recommend this for anyone looking to get away from the city, but it is still just a short drive away from downtown Charlottesville.

  • Roseanne and Bill were great hosts. They provided a nice welcome basket and plenty of firewood for the firepit outside. The cabin was incredible. It was such a cozy place to be and made for a nice getaway. Would recommend to anyone!

  • We decided to stay here for the first vacation my husband and I have taken since the birth of our son. It was perfect for a romantic getaway! The view is absolutely spectacular and the cottage is quaint and the interior is in great shape. It is a bit rustic, including a sit down shower. We peeked at one of the cottages and those looked fabulous. I'm happy we stayed where we did for the view and outdoor time though. I would definitely consider coming back to the cottages. Highly recommend!

    Andrea2014-07-21T00:00:00Z
  • Roseanne and Bill were very welcoming and responded quickly to my questions. The cabin was exactly what we expected and more! The tub was a little smaller than I expected but was definitely not a negative for our stay. The gas fireplace provided wonderful ambiance and let off a lot of extra heat. The kitchen was nicely stocked with the essentials and made heating up a snack on the stove easy! The snack basket Roseanne and Bill left was such a nice treat as well. We have already recommended Baileys Retreat Cabin to our family and friends and would recommend it to anyone else.

    Lauren2014-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • The place was beautiful! both the house and the land! great views and cozy interior!

    Stephen2015-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • Quaint little cottage with a beautiful view. It is not isolated in the mountains, however, but shares the property with a ranch style home. You need to bring the cabin temperature down to 64 degrees in order to bring the loft to a comfortable temperature for sleeping - at least in July and August! The view and beautiful sounds of nature make it worth it though! Great morning breakfast time on the porch.

  • We stayed for our 25th UVa reunion at The Barn at Haden. The surroundings are perfect Crozet--beautiful lush, green meadows and mountains. The actual accommodations were better than we expected! The layout of The Barn is perfect for families. The kitchen had everything we needed and more! The kids WANTED to shower as the bathroom is AWESOME! Great value, short drive from UVa. We will be staying here again! -Denise

  • Dawn was a great host and the place could not be more perfect. Beautiful space inside and out. Dawn's communication was quick and so helpful. We went to one of their favorite restaurants (Smoke Kitchen and Tap) and had a great time at a winery event (Starry Nights at Veritas Vineyard) that we wouldn't have known about if it weren't for her suggestions. It was a very peaceful getaway and I am sure we will be back.

    Paula2017-07-09T00:00:00Z
  • The space is amazingly comfortable, sleekly designed, and thoughtfully appointed with everything you’ll need for a lovely stay. Dawn made sure we were aware of everything pertinent to our stay. Fabulous stopover on our way to D.C.

Detached private carriage house in Old Trail Village, a neighborhood in Crozet VA at the foot of the Blue Ridge Mts. Less than a mile walk to the Old Trail Village Center, Crozet Downtown area, and 20 minutes to UVA/Charlottesville. 5.8 miles to AT.
Our home has a detached carriage house. This phrase refers to our garage, which is separate from and has a private room and full bath above it. The Queen bed is a memory foam on a platform. We have a good sized yard, with a small patio and raised bed garden. Our backyard also backs up to the end of an alley, providing all the parking your heart desires. No pets please!
Our neighborhood, Old Trail Village, is a quiet, neo-traditional community in the small town of Crozet, Virginia. It has its own small village center, with a coffee shop and three restaurants. It has three ponds, a network of trails, and footpaths. It also has a golf course.
  • Another review from me. Perfect as always!

  • This Studio was the perfect location to go to a King Family Winery event. Lyn was so nice to let us check in early on our arrival day. Saturday morning we checked out the farmers market in Crozet after Lyn recommended it to us and also had a very nice breakfast at Green House Coffee . We would love to come back and stay at this cozy garage apartment.

Peaceful retreat walkable to downtown Crozet, and its coffee shops, art galleries, and restaurants. One bedroom, large bathroom with clawfoot tub, full kitchen with granite countertops, electric fireplace, reclaimed barn wood features, and, best of all, a large private deck with a gorgeous view.
The neighborhood is a very quiet residential area, but is walkable to the bustling downtown (3 blocks.)
  • Great apartment. As advertised, great location and a beautiful apartment.

    Paul2017-09-04T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful, comfortable, and cozy place to stay in a beautiful area. Short drive to nearby vineyards and breweries and an excellent launching pad for day hikes in the park. Great hosts made it easy to settle in--wish we could have stayed longer!

    Dan2017-08-16T00:00:00Z
  • Atieno's place is gorgeous. Perfect combination of rustic and industrial. Nestled in the middle of Crozet, it was extremely convenient the entire trip. We were able to hike multiple times on the Appalachian trail, stop at plenty of breweries and wineries, and eat at great restaurants very close by. Atenio was extremely pleasant and very quick to respond to any questions we had. 5 stars! Would definitely recommend as a beautiful weekend getaway in the. mountains

    Ethan2017-05-29T00:00:00Z
  • This review is being submitted on behalf of my in-laws: Atieno and Shawn were truly wonderful hosts. Located in a nice quiet neighborhood and convenient to any destination between Charlottesville and the Blue ridge parkway, the carriage house was one of the nicest places we've stayed in without question. Private, beautifully decorated and a warm feeling are the first words that come to mind when I consider our stay. The bathroom fixtures are beautiful and they were considerate enough to install a heated floor that was set to go on before we awoke - nice touch. There is also a full kitchen here with an induction cooktop, but there are so many excellent restaurant choices in the area that we only utilized the fridge for some snacks and the Keriug coffee maker that Atieno had left an ample amount of organic coffee for. Be sure and ask Atieno and Shawn for some restaurant recommendations as well as recommendations for some of the best hiking trails in Virginia. They were able to direct us to a trail that suited our stamina level and it provided us a great afternoon. If you are a beer or wine aficionado, you are in luck because if you bring back a favorite from the numerous breweries and wineries in the area, you can enjoy it on a quiet private balcony with a very nice and pleasant view. Also great was to not have to deal with dragging a cooler around due to the kitchen being only 10 steps away from the balcony. All in all, staying here had a huge positive impact on our getaway.

    Emily2017-05-10T00:00:00Z
  • Our hosts were so hospitable and allowed us to book last minute. The accommodations were amazing and so adorable, yet specious for two people. The place is a short walk to coffee shops and food and the area is friendly and inviting. We were able to get to Shenandoah in less than 20 minutes but there are other closer hikes as well. I would most definitely stay here again and encourage others to do the same!!

    Nicole2017-07-17T00:00:00Z
  • The host canceled this reservation 60 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.

  • Convenient and incredible hosts!

    Brady2017-08-24T00:00:00Z
  • My wife and I loved everything about this well done intimate escape. Nestled in a quiet neighborhood it's welcoming well designed deck with a tree top view opens through vibrant red doors into a relaxed private get away with everything available, and tastefully appointed. "Casually sophisticated" in a phrase! We would clone this carriage house and take it with us if we could! Enjoy your stay fully in the gorgeous hamlet of Crozet! Hosts were accommodating, helpful and very friendly folks!

  • My stay was perfect. Britt and Michael could not have been more accommodating! My room was warm and comfortable. Their home was lovely against the back drop of the mountains. Their community was ideal for a traveler as it had additional eateries, etc. for extras one might need when traveling. Their young puppy made me feel right at home too. Thank you for having me!

  • Britt, Mike and their pup were amazing hosts for my super quick trip to the wineries. Their home is immaculate and very convenient to "Nelson 151", orchards and minutes away from downtown Charlottesville. They made me feel taken care of with their warm personalities. I hope to stay with them in the future!

  • Best airbnb experience we have had. Britt and Michael are so warm and welcoming and their home is beautiful, surrounded by mountains! We attended a wedding at King Family Vineyards which is literally 2 miles away, a perfect weekend getaway stay if you want to enjoy some Virginia wine country. We received a resounding welcome from Reese, their sweet hound-mix who is a love bug! We were missing our puppy we had to leave at home so Reese was an added bonus :) Thanks again Britt & Michael for your wonderful hospitality and for the recommendation to Chile's Orchard Saturday pancake breakfast - we loved it!

    Michal2017-06-28T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay in Crozet with Britt and Mike! Mike greeted us with recommendations on places to eat and visit while we were there and their dog, Reece, was very well behaved. The room felt very private from the rest of the house and our hosts provided the room with thoughtful touches like water bottles and tissues, which were very helpful while hiking during allergy season.

Come see why Crozet is so magical! With a gorgeous Blue Ridge Mountain backdrop, stunning vineyards, breweries, its only a hop skip and jump to two National Parks, you'll to fall in love with Crozet just like I did. Just outside of Charlottesville my home feels very private and quiet yet is very centrally located to restaurants and amazing hiking. Just 2 miles down the road is Chiles Peach Orchard where you can pick your own strawberries, peaches, apples and pumpkins.
The is the original farmhouse in the Orchard Acres neighborhood here in Crozet. Built in 1929 this is not just a house but a home. It feels very private from being wooded on most sides but is also centrally located to many breweries, wineries, hiking trails, national parks, Chiles peach orchard and great restaurants. My home is filled with great antiques and decorated with my own artwork and pillows. Downstairs there is a full bathroom, kitchen with everything you'll need to cook and clean up after yourselves :) Upstairs there is a room with a queen sized bed and TV in it. The other room has a very comfortable double bed and a private bathroom with shower. Sorry no TV in that room! Just a giant map of the US so you can plan your next cross country adventure :) I also provide a double memory top aero bed with sheets, blankets and pillows that can sleep another two guests. There are limited cable stations on the TV but there is Apple TV that has Hulu Plus and Netflix. Only 13 miles to downtown Charlottesville and Monticello. Only 1 mile away from the famous Crozet Pizza! 12 miles to Shenandoah National Park.
I am located in a residential neighborhood, which is great for being central located and getting around town easily. The property is mostly wooded around which makes it feel more private.
  • Lauren's place was the coolest! The art, the decor, and the living space overall were clean, comfortable, serene, and inspiring. Can't wait to stay there again in the summertime!

    Tamesa2017-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • A beautiful, well-equipped, fun, warm, amazingly decorated house. It is an easy walk to downtown Crozet, and a quick drive to the Blue Ridge Parkway and Shenandoah. We absolutely loved this charming house and wonderful, attentive host.

    Luke2017-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • My family and I traveled to Crozet for one night before the Spartan race at Wintergreen. Lauren's home is charming and filled with artistic/vintage-y decor. The home was built in the 1920s and still has some of it's old world charm (original hardwood flooring, etc.). Some things to note: If you are an early bird and go to bed early, you might want to make some arrangements for blackout curtains, as the curtains in the bedrooms seem to let in a bit of light. Not a huge issue for us - but it was challenging to get our daughter to bed on time before the sun had set. Also, the home is located in a slightly wooded area, so we noticed lots of mosquitoes (outside) and a few stink bugs. Again, not a huge issue, but definitely something to be aware of. Our family had a personal emergency, which caused a late checkout and an inconvenience to Lauren. While we were all frustrated with the circumstances, she handled the situation with absolute grace and we were happy to compensate her for the (huge) inconvenience. I highly recommend Lauren's home if you are in the Crozet/Charlottesville/Wintergreen area! The area has a great small town feel, but has lots of contemporary restaurants and coffee shops. The best of both worlds!

    Kiahna2016-09-24T00:00:00Z
  • Lauren's farm house/ cottage was perfect. Communication about everything was wonderful. I loved her wood stove and probably used it the entire time I was there. While I did not venture out and instead enjoyed her home as a creative respite, it is very well located near lots of breweries, distilleries, and vineyards. Everything about my stay at her home- the amenities, location, stove ;) and location- all of it was perfect and more than I had hoped for. Wonderful spot!

    chantal2017-01-09T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed the yard and the screened in porch as it rained on our event. The pups loved the yard and it was nice that it was fenced . The art work was great !! The location was good for our event .. we were a little surprised on the sleeping arrangements as we had 5 people I would definitely go back but with only 2-3 -4 people. Thank you so much we will be back !!Niki

    NICOLE2017-08-13T00:00:00Z
  • Lauren's home is an awesome getaway with close wineries, hiking, & good eats. Her decor is inspiring and the ratio of bedrooms to bathrooms is ideal. We had a great girls weekend and will definitely come back! Thanks Lauren.

    Tiffany2016-10-16T00:00:00Z
  • There were fresh flowers in every room when we got there. I don't think I've ever stayed somewhere so cozy and so clean. Lauren's house is beautiful and warm and friendly and beautifully decorated. She has a great sense of color and pattern in her decorating. The historical house is really nicely updated, in a way that doesn't interfere with the feeling of the house. Crozet is a cute little town in a great location, close to Charlottesville and Staunton and hiking in the mountains. Lauren was great about communicating with us before and during our stay. We had a really lovely time and didn't want to leave!

For lunch, Green House Coffee makes a yummy chicken salad sandwich on local Goodwin Bakery oatmeal bread. Looking for something to do? King Family Vineyard, White Hall Vineyard, Stinson Vineyards, Grace Estate Winery, Pollak Vineyards and other wineries on the Monticello Wine Trail are great places to spend an afternoon. Starr Hill Brewery, part of the Brew Ridge Trail, is located right in Crozet and now has a brand new tasting room. Feel like a hike? Mint Springs Park, Sugar Hollow, Humpback Rock are all close by. Charlottesville, the University of Virginia, Monticello, Ashlawn-Highland and Wintergreen are conveniently located minutes from Crozet.
  • This apartment was an ideal spot to stay in Crozet! I split the weekend between Charlottesville and Wintergreen, and it was the PERFECT half way point. I enjoyed coming home each night to a cozy apartment that offered all we needed - comfortable bed and couches, fully stocked kitchen, and helpful bathroom supplies (toothpaste, soap, shampoo, fresh towels, and more!). We took Amy's recommendations for dining, and ate at Three Notched on Friday (great mussels!), Far Downers on Saturday (great live band), Crozet Pizza on Sunday, and enjoyed a relaxing Sunday morning at Mud House coffee shop (just downstairs, and very convenient!). Parking was easy, and the apartment was quiet at night with great natural light during the day. Will definitely return next time we're in the area!

  • Our stay in Crozet was our first AirBnb experience and it exceeded our expectations. The apartment was immaculately clean and provided us with everything we could have needed and more. Crozet is a charming town with plenty to offer. It was a convenient and cost effective place to stay when visiting Charlottesville for the weekend. We can't wait to come back!

    Dan2016-05-09T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely place. Well kept, full kitchen, extra toiletries if you need them. They had coffee and even two loafs of local sweet breads. Comfortable bed. Fantastic location for Crozet. Great experience, would highly recommend!

  • Amy's place was so adorable and exactly as described! A quick trip to many good wineries/breweries, some great restaurants within walking distance, and easy check-in/check-out.

  • We loved everything about this place! Really wish we could've stayed longer. Luckily we have family here so we will be back sooner than later. This apartment is so cozy and walking distance to everywhere we needed to go. Be sure to grab a bite at Smoked or the Rooftop at Piedmont Place and if you are a craft beer fan stop in the Blue Ridge bottle shop. Fardowners is also great and literally a few steps away. Have coffee and a pastry at Mudhouse or sleep in and enjoy the banana bread and coffee that Amy has left for you. We can't wait to come back.

  • Great place in the heart of Crozet!! All information was accurate and the arrival/departure was simple and convenient.

    Rob2016-07-15T00:00:00Z
  • Amy and this place were great! It was exactly as the pictures show and the little town of Crozet was a nice spot to relax and take in some breathtaking views. We visited Fardowners restaurant, which is just next door as is the coffee shop. Amy provided a very nice welcome packet and some great recommendations!

  • Apartment was beautiful and in a great part of Crozet, near restaurants and shops. We spent most of the time beer and wine tasting. The apartment was conveniently located near most of them. We'll be staying here again!

Large and spacious new home in the heart of Crozet. Located 15 minutes from Charlottesville, Crozet is at the heart of the Monticello Wine Trail, Brew Ridge Trail, and a short drive to the Blue Ridge Parkway, Skyline Drive, Shenandoah National Park, and Wintergreen.
A large open floor plan and up-to-date amenities make this home a very comfortable stay.
Plenty of space to roam and enjoy restaurants and activities whether you take a walk to the Old Trail town center or take the short walk into Downtown Crozet.
  • Beautiful house with plenty of room for a group to enjoy a weekend away! The setup was great for our trip which included 5 adults and a baby! Our baby also loved exploring the house which was an added bonus.

    Rachel2016-08-15T00:00:00Z
  • Susan was awesome. Never met her but she left the back door open instead of leaving us to have to find the hidden key at midnight. House was great.

    James2016-10-24T00:00:00Z
  • Susan was great at providing details for our stay and was very responsive. The house is as shown on the pictures: beautiful, big, kid-friendly and has everything you need for a nice weekend. Just one thing we thought was missing was a BBQ. The only minus we have is on the cleaning side. When you are charged a cleaning fee on airbnb (after your stay), you kind of expect the place to be very clean at first. The kitchen was really not at standard: all appliances (ovens, fridge and dishwasher), many of the plates and cutury as well as the trash baskets were really dirty. We found lots of dog hairs on the stairs and there was dust in the bedrooms. An improvement could clearly be made here to make people's stay just perfect. With this issue being corrected, I would definitely recommend this place which is perfectly located between the Shenandoah and Charlottesville. Landscapes are amazing, the shared swimming pool is great and the house is gorgeous.

  • We had a wonderful experience here! The host provided helpful recommendations for food and vineyards, and was flexible with our schedule. This is a really lovely home in the mountains, super close to vineyards and restaurants. It was clean and modern and had everything we needed.

  • Beautiful, quiet place to stay near the center of Crozet. The house was clean, comfortable and massive. Great place to stay with a family or a few friends!

  • Susan's lovely and immaculate home was perfectly located in this beautiful part of Virginia. We were there for UVA graduation events, visits to Monticello and Monroe's Ashland. Located in a new development close to Crozet its a short walk to village and short drive to many wineries. We didn't have a lot of time to hang at the house but when we did it was totally comfortable. All the rooms had in-suite baths which was great for our family.

Our trip included an evening dinner at a local Vineyard, only 2 miles away from this home away from home. I wish we were spending more time in Crozet just to enjoy this beautiful getaway oasis.

  • We absolutely loved our stay at Charlene's cottage! The place was extremely clean and functional. Beds were comfortable with an nice big shower. There wasn't a kitchenette but she supplied water, juice and snacks, along with coffee in the morning. It was really close to Star Hill brewery that we were able to walk and some good pizza places and restaurants. I would definitely recommend this stay!

  • Our niece's wedding was at King Family Vineyards and before booking a night at a recommended Charlottesville hotel, we decided to try Air BnB for the first time. We immediately were drawn to Cozy in Crozet; the accommodations, decor, reviews , proximity and a comparable cost sealed it in our minds. We arrived to a very private, softly lit, and an impeccably clean two bedroom suite. Artfully decorated in a soothing Zen like motif, no odors, perfect temperature and with cool jazz softly playing as we opened the front door. Thank you Charlene.

The great room features a large HDTV with Sonos audio system and Apple TV. By car we are 15 minutes from UVA; 20 minutes from downtown Charlottesville, Monticello, and Skyline Drive; and 30 minutes from Staunton and Wintergreen Resort.
  • We absolutely loved this place! Great views and very relaxing. The apartment feels brand new and is decorated warmly. Melissa and Jon were friendly and helpful hosts - they even had a bottle of wine waiting since they knew it was our one year anniversary! There are a ton of wineries/breweries nearby to enjoy. We had a wonderful stay. Thank you!

  • Melissa and Jon were great hosts and they have a beautiful, quiet property. The location was also great, there are a couple of very local restaurant options but Charlottesville and the downtown mall are only 25 minutes away. There are also great hiking spots, breweries, and wineries all close by. The apartment was very clean and the space is very comfortable.

  • Great rental, not one complaint. Spacious for two, quiet beautiful neighborhood with only a few houses. Modern appliances and bathroom. Comfortable bed and free internet/apple tv. Great views. Less than 1 mile from a winery and within 10 minutes of another ten vineyards. If you are looking for a rental for a weekend getaway in wine country, this is it. Also, only 4 minutes from the small downtown area with a handful of restaurants. Thanks, Melissa and Jon!

  • Jon and Melissa were exceptional hosts. We ran into some bad weather due to the impending hurricane that made us change our travel plans and they were so flexible and understanding. The rental was absolutely perfect for a girl's weekend away. It looked like it belonged on a recent episode of HGTV. The bottle of wine and fresh fruit were a wonderful touch! There were three of us in our party and we asked Jon and Melissa for permission before booking. The bed and pull out couch were just what we needed and definitely comfortable. We visited a few local vineyards (Pippin Hill was about a 20 min drive and King Family was just a mile away). We ordered takeout Crozet pizza for dinner and that was super close too. All in all a great location for a wonderful getaway. Thanks again to Jon and Melissa for being such great hosts! We hope to definitely be back.

  • Melissa and Jon are the perfect AirBnB hosts. They went above and beyond to provide recommendations for restaurants, hiking, and other nearby places to visit. The property itself is AMAZING. The view of the mountains from the property will blow your mind and the inside of the home is perfect. My girlfriend and I will definitely be coming back.

  • Awesome stay!!! Thanks Melissa and Jon. Your apartment was very clean, nicely decorated and you were great hosts. We will definitely stay there next time we are in the area.

  • Jon and Melissa's home is immaculate. Bright and modern, tastefully decorated, and comfortable. The views are gorgeous, and they literally live next door to King Family Vineyard! Jon and Melissa are warm and welcoming, offering recommendations for dining and directions. They stocked the guest house with essentials and beyond, even a bottle of wine and snacks upon our arrival! I absolutely recommend staying with Jon and Melissa. Their guest house is a gem in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Thank you, we'll be back again!

    Ashley2016-07-25T00:00:00Z
  • Melissa and Jon were great hosts. The apartment was as described and they even left us a bottle of wine as well as several snacks. The internet happened to be our during our visit, but Jon kindly set up a DVD player for us. The only thing that I would note is that there is currently some unfortunately placed construction going on immediately adjacent to the garage/house. I imagine it may not be a problem on a weekend, but the crew seems to begin work at 7:30 AM and continue for most of the day during the week. Other than that, our stay at Melissa and Jon's place was great and we would recommend to others.

Our home is close to restaurants and dining, family-friendly activities, the University of Virginia, the Monticello Wine Trail and the Brew Trail. You’ll love the basement because of the coziness and the location.
Our home is cozy, comfortable, tidy and clean. The basement has a full bathroom with a stand up shower, a separate bedroom with 2 twin beds and a large family room space with a television, cable and wifi. The stone patio is perfect for any season and overlooks the pond – build a fire if the nights get cool. We will provide guidebooks to help you plan your visit. We have a small dog that loves to greet visitors. Please make yourself at home in our basement. No visitors and only registered guests are allowed to use the space day and night. PLEASE NOTE: There are 10 outdoor steps without a handrail leading to the entrance of the basement. For this reason we do not believe it is suitable for anyone with mobility limitations.

  • Host was very easy to communicate with and very understanding. Everything was very comfortable and setup before hand to make sure that we had a great experience.

  • This is an excellent location and very comfortable stay. You are in an ideal location, close to town, close to wineries. The outdoor space is phenomenal, and the house is very clean and well kept! As the description suggests, be sure you're comfortable with just a few stairs leading to the basement. The basement apartment has floor to ceiling windows all around, so you really don't feel like you're in a basement.

    Cheri2017-10-01T00:00:00Z
  • Hosts are super accommodating and quick to respond to communications. Space is decorated very well, clean, and comfortable. Twin beds have very soft mattresses and air circulation is good!

  • We stayed here for a nearby wedding at King Family Vineyard and it was perfect! I don't think we could have picked a closer location. We were greeted by Smokey, the adorable Jack Russell. The basement suite is so comfortable, clean, and fit our brief weekend stay perfectly. I wish we would have had one more day to stay and simply enjoy it! Leah and Todd were great hosts- quiet and non-intrusive but very helpful and accomodating. 10/10!

    morgan2017-05-07T00:00:00Z
  • Leah and Todd were great hosts. Lovely home in a convenient location to various local attractions, wineries, breweries etc. Private, quiet, clean and comfortable. Several great options for coffee and food in nearby downtown Crozet.

    Heather2017-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • Everything was as advertised. While the space is a basement, one wall is almost entirely windows, so there is a lot of natural light inside. Good water pressure, plenty of hot water, and a thermostat in the bedroom are definite pluses for me. Leah sent me a text the first evening of my two night stay asking if I needed anything. Very nice. All in all, very comfortable. After a long day, I brought back takeout shrimp and grits from nearby SWAY taphouse, sat on the very comfy couch and enjoyed their wide screen tv and cable. This stay was my first Airbnb. I had considered staying in a chain hotel for my two night visit but the thought of spending $170/night for the nearby Hampton Inn wasn't appealing. Staying here, I ended up with a roomy suite that was larger, nicer, more comfortable and more like home than any chain hotel--at half the price.

    Andrew2017-04-09T00:00:00Z
  • Super clean and comfy place to stow away in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Peaceful and quiet. Todd was very friendly, and gave lots of great suggestions on places to try. Gorgeous views and relaxing to lounge downstairs. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

Halcyon House is close to parks, arts and culture, great restaurants and dining. You’ll love our home because of the exceptional mountain views from every direction, the comfy beds, and the privacy. Halcyon House is a quiet and peaceful place for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers, wishing to get away from the hustle and bustle of life. Muffins or pastries for breakfast, will be in the upstairs hall, with coffee, tea and snacks available anytime.
We have a special setting here in Crozet at the foot of the Blue Ridge Mountains, with million dollar views. Our drive is private and shared by only 4 other families so traffic is minimal. You will feel like you are in the middle of nowhere yet Charlottesville and the University of Va are just 20 minutes away full of great restaurants and fun things to do. Wintergreen Resort is only 35 minutes away. Monticello, home of Thomas Jefferson, is always a favorite place to visit. There is something for everyone, hiking, local wineries and breweries, Star Hill is only a mile away. Old Trail Golf Course is just a few minutes from here and we have several good restaurants here in Crozet, too. The Green Room and The Blue Room are connected by a Jack n Jill bathroom which, for privacy purposes, I only let one room book at a time. For larger groups, please message me about using both rooms with the connecting bathroom for a reduced rate.
Our neighborhood is very private. There are 5 homes back here but the drive is privately maintained by all of us , which means traffic is minimal. All the families are quiet, respectful and ready to help anyone who needs it. We are located on 600 acres of farmland owned by two families.
  • We truly enjoyed our stay at this wonderful and absolutely beautiful place! Roslyn and Pat were amazing hosts and we felt really taken care of. The house is beautifully decorated with art and paintings. The outside patio and fish pond with waterfall were refreshing and the mountain scenes spectacular! The beds and the rooms were very comfortable, especially with the Jack and Jill bathroom. We enjoyed the excellent coffee that Pat made for us every morning and are grateful for accommodating all of our requests beyond expectation. We traveled with our <2 year daughter, and she had a wonderful time playing in the open fields behind the house. We recommend this place to any family who is looking for a relaxing time!

The bed was incredibly comfortable and Roslyn had snacks, waters, coffee, tea and anything else you could want as well as delicious muffins from a local bakery! Roslyn's hospitality was unbeatable. • We really enjoyed our stay with Alexia, the home was as pictured and described in the listing. The location was great for us because it was very close to many great restaurants and ctivities in the area. Alexia also helped us out with some suggestions of places nearby. We had a fantastic stay!

    Kara2016-10-10T00:00:00Z
  • Alexia was an unbelievable host! She made us feel welcome right from the start. If you want a "home away from home" while traveling, this is it! She gave us a house tour, gave us our privacy (as we had to get ready for a gig and leave for the venue shortly after arrival) and let us know how to contact her in case we needed anything. In the morning, she prepared an absolutely perfect breakfast before we had to hit the road again, and we were able to enjoy breakfast on the patio in the gorgeous weather! Our only regret is that we didn't get to visit with Alexia more! I highly recommend staying with Alexia in her beautiful home!

  • Alexia did a wonderful job hosting us! She was always available for communication, the home is perfect, clean, and nicely laid out. Alexia provided breakfast on the patio that was phenomenal! I highly recommend her home!

  • We need a scale that goes higher than 5 for exceptional places. Alexia is an attractive woman with a heart as big as the sky and a positive attitude towards life. She made me feel so welcome. Her home is beautiful, immaculate, perfectly clean, perfectly sweet. Every room is tastefully decorated. She gave me a choice of rooms and I picked the 3rd floor with a large sitting area and private full bath. Perfect. The colors are wonderful, the neighborhood is wonderful, her daughter is wonderful. What a wonderful place. I truly enjoyed the serenity here in Alexia's home. You can meditate here. Not everywhere has the vibration that is conducive. Thank you Alexia for your sweet kindness.

    Sadhu2016-08-29T00:00:00Z
  • Alexia was great. We were meeting up with some other UofL parents who were also going to a regatta hosted by UVA and they arrived first and checked in. I think that at some point we all agreed that our own houses were rarely so clean and tidy! All the beds were comfortable (and the pillows got a special mention!) We were even able to be a bit more relaxed leaving as she provided various breakfast items (think "continental breakfast") to get us fueled up an on our way.

    Rob2016-11-14T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great experience staying at Alexia's house in Crozet. The location was perfect for visiting our family. Communication was easy and everything was taken care of for our arrival. Highly recommend!

    Lindsey2016-11-26T00:00:00Z
  • Our time at Alexia's home was fabulous! We came to town because we had a wedding at the King Family Vineyard. Alexia went above and beyond to accommodate our family. Her home is lovely, spacious and immaculately clean. She provided a wonderful continental breakfast each morning and has a beautiful terrace where we could enjoy sitting together as family. She gave us full use of her kitchen and was available when we needed her but never hovered over us. I would definitely stay again and highly encourage others to do the same!

We love that we can walk to restaurants and it's a very short drive to King Family Winery. The back porch is screened in, and it even has a queen size, very comfy bed and privacy curtains (this bed is not included in the "sleeps 8" head count only because it's weather permitting). In the photos the room with the green curtains shows a twin bed on the bottom bunk ... we've raised the bed and replaced the twin with a queen mattress. Check-in and out is at 1:30, even though the time says 1:00 (the drop down window won't allow half hour increments, but from experience we now know we need this time to get the house ready).
Old Trail Village is amazing. 6 miles of hiking, an ACAC gym, incredible pool, public golf course, several restaurants and a coffee shop. The surrounding views of the Blue Ridge Mountains are stunning!
  • This is a gorgeous house with more than enough space for our party of 7 ladies. The location was perfect for our wine tasting weekend, right in the middle of where some of the best vineyards are. The living room was so comfy and all of us fit on the huge sectional. We felt very welcome by Jill and her family and would definitely stay here again if we're in the area. Also, if you stay here don't miss Crozet Pizza!

    Caroline2016-06-06T00:00:00Z
  • The house was warm and inviting. Jill set the code to the front door, so even though we had a late checkin, all was good. Clean, kid friendly, great for a UVA graduation. Grocery store 2 minutes away, great for tired grandchildren (and grandparents!!)

    Valerie2016-05-23T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay at Jill's house. There was lots of space and everything was new and clean and nice. It was cozy and we felt at home there. The location is very good - we used the walking trail and went to the local wineries and walked to dinner. I definitely recommend it if you are coming to Crozet!

    Stephanie2016-04-06T00:00:00Z
  • Jill was absolutely amazing at being helpful with any questions we had. We stayed here after a wine tour all day Saturday. It was my first AirB&B experience and I loved it! House was extremely clean and beautiful!!!

    Lindsey2017-04-23T00:00:00Z
  • Jill and Tim are a lovely couple with a beautiful and very clean home. The location is also perfect, just a block from restaurants and coffee shops and very close (5-20 minutes) from the vineyards. Thank you for your hospitality!

    Julianne2016-10-02T00:00:00Z
  • Extremely clean and comfortable home. Fantastic location and all of the outdoor porch space was perfect for our group! Beautiful stay close to many vineyards and breweries!

    Kara2017-05-07T00:00:00Z
  • This was our first Air BnB stay and it was delightful. The home was spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated. A house manual was left on the kitchen counter describing things to know about the house like wifi password, garbage collection, dishwasher use, etc. we couldn't have asked for a lovelier stay.

    Andrea2016-09-26T00:00:00Z
  • My family and I stayed at the Roses gorgeous townhome for a Charlottesville wedding. The location was absolutely perfect. We were halfway between the city and the wineries and blue Ridge parkway. The rooms and beds were all comfortable. It's a great house for kids with lots of toys. We enjoyed the comfortable porches. Jill and Tim were very helpful throughout our whole stay. We would definitely come back.

  • Our experience was absolutely perfect. We came to Crozet for a wedding and not only was the location right down the road for us but the place was incredibly clean and very spacious for us. If you are in the area and want a very nice place to stay this is definitely a good choice!

    Paul2016-04-11T00:00:00Z
  • The house was great, and we enjoyed our stay! Erica and Mike were also very responsive when the fire alarm began beeping for new batteries. The accommodations were wonderful and we'd happily stay there again.

    Nancy2016-05-31T00:00:00Z
  • This was the perfect place for my one night visit passing through Crozet. My daughter was playing at one of the craft breweries just minutes away and this was soooooo much better than a hotel! The room is newly finished and in a very quiet, private neighborhood. We'll definitely stay again when visiting the area.

    Kimberly2016-04-08T00:00:00Z
  • Love our brief stay in Crozet. It is the perfect spot to explore the area. The apartment was very comfortable and clean and provided everything we needed for our stay. It is so close to everything you might want to do around Crozet and Charlottesville. Their is a coffee shop and a couple of restaurants within a two minute walk. The neighborhood is located in a beautiful area and we went for a morning walk. We even went for a morning hike in the close by Blue Ridge Mountains. A place called Humpback Rocks and took some amazing pictures of the cliffs. Could not ask for a better stay even though it was short. Erica and Mike were very accommodating and we would definitely stay again and would recommend to our friends and family. Thank You for a wonderful visit.

    6 reviews
Sunny, spacious bed/livingroom upstairs (wood stove); mini-kitchen & bath dnstairs on 10 acre farm with 180-degree views of Blue Ridge Mts. Quiet, private, big-sky,pool, 5' from Crozet. I have a dog, but she does not go in the rental space; no visitor dogs. A perfect place to be on retreat/ tour wine country or get some work done (WiFi and a printer are available in the apartment). Apt has been inspected/ approved by zoning & fire marshall; I pay Co taxes, incl. in rates.
This little apt is located over the garage & next to my studio. It has a fabulous balcony - cafe table & 2 chairs, included! Enter around the side of the garage, into the kitchen (has small mini fridge, 2 burners, toaster oven, coffee maker). Bath w/ shower is next to kitchen. The sleeping/ living area is UPSTAIRS (not handicapped accessible). FYI: I live in the country side- wifi is via metered, satellite provider (slow & no streaming)... look at it as opportunity to relax & disconnect a bit... local cafes have better wifi.
I live in farm country (orchard, horses, hay) at the base of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Old Trail has a golf course is 10 minutes away. King Family Vineyard hosts Polo matches in the summer & Grace vineyard has live music friday nights. I'll have a list of all the local spots available, when you arrive.
  • We had a lovely stay at Sunset Farm Studio! Time and space to go on hikes, visit wineries, breweries and coffee houses close by; eat meals on our private balcony, and sleep nearly under the stars! Sarah is a gracious host, and she and the pups were always very welcoming. We can't wait to return!

    Cathleen2016-09-06T00:00:00Z
  • Sarah's studio has the most phenomenal view! We enjoyed the close proximity to wineries and breweries, and took advantage of the local pizza and coffee places. Sarah had great recommendations and was available via text or e-mail for anything we needed. The studio was well stocked and a great get away from the city. The only draw back was a slightly uncomfortable mattress, but that's always the way when sleeping on something new for the first time. Overall, it was a lovely stay.

    Alex2016-09-25T00:00:00Z
  • Easy, clean, super cozy, so thoughtfully curated to your needs. A perfect mountain getaway. The bed is a little lumpy but its nothing terrible and doesn't detract overall from the experience. Sarah is welcoming and kind and her suggestions for local eats and things to do are spot on!

    Emily2017-02-05T00:00:00Z
  • Sarah's place was the perfect quiet weekend getaway. The views are amazing and the space was very comfortable. She was very accommodating at check in and gave us lots of recommendations for nearby Crozet which is a lovely town. Great for a peaceful respite while visiting Charlottesville and surrounding areas.

    Ignacio2017-05-29T00:00:00Z
  • Sarah’s place was very quiet and quaint. Sarah greeted us upon arrival and was very friendly and pleasant. We were given a tour of the apartment, showed where everything was located, and Sarah explained safety procedures and also had pamphlets laid out about the area. My only complaint would be transportation and the WiFi. The description does say that the area has taxi and Uber (EMAIL HIDDEN)ing from an area where Uber is prevalent and knowing that there where quite a few wineries only a few miles from the apartment, we thought well how expensive can it be? Well it turns out it’s VERY difficult to get either. Taxis and Uber’s won’t service you if you’re going to the wineries down the street. The one uber in the vicinity repeatedly declined our requests, etc. We spent much of Saturday morning trying to find a service that was willing to take us to wineries. We ended up having to get a taxi by the hour for 5 hours on Saturday (over $300). Had we known how difficult it would be to get a taxi or Uber, we would have planned ahead and booked the hop on hop off bus. Unfortunately, once we realized this was an issue the bus was sold out. WiFi was limited to 1 GB of use and was very spotty/at times did not work. The views from the apartment were great and we did enjoy those. The apartment itself was relatively clean (with a lot of stink bugs - but it is the mountains and I believe it’s the season for them). Kitchen utilities were limited but something we were aware of during booking. Best tip: plan ahead, book the hop on hop off and you will enjoy the area and apartment.

  • Sarah's home is lovely! Our second time there so "as expected" is relative to the pleasure of our stay the first time! Crozet is lovely, beginning to have a bit of a "foodie flair," within a few minutes' drive away from this beautiful farm setting. Also, the roads around are a treat for running! Very restful break from the brewery/winery/food/music/UVA activitiy scene :-)

    Cathleen2017-09-04T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic stay. Beautiful setting, with the added bonus of two adorable doggies running about. Sarah was not home but her house sitter made us feel welcome and at home. We weren't home much due to a wedding weekend, but it was a great place to come home to after our nights out.

    Brittany2016-05-23T00:00:00Z
  • We Had a fantastic time. There was so much to do in crozet and it's surroundings that we never even made it into Charlottesville. The space is great and Sarah is a gracious host with tons of great suggestions of what to do in the area. My only tip if you stay is to make sure you can figure out how to open the balcony doors

  • We felt very welcome as soon as we stepped through the front door. There was wine and chocolates waiting for us which was a lovely thought. Later in the evening we spent some quality time chatting and getting to know each other. We also loved Moseley and the cat. The location is amazing - peaceful and serene. You feel as if you are in the trees. Nice little town and great location for touring the Shenandoah National Park.

  • Helene and John are very welcoming people who host with great enthusiasm and interest. They gave us great tips for wineries, breweries and scenic drives through Crozet. Their house is located amidst the trees on the peaceful mountain side, from where you will have a great view. The room is big, has a comfortable bed with nice pillows and (like the rest of the house) has very interesting decoration. An overal great ambiance. Everything is spotless clean and breakfast is delicious. Thank you so much Helene and John!

  • I had a wonderful week in Charlottesville over the Thanksgiving break. My son and his family have a farm in Free Union and after staying in the farmhouse for a few days, I felt I needed a break!! I had booked the Tree Top heaven and loved every minute of my stay. Helene and John were the best hosts ever. I live in Denver and will be back for more visits!!!

    Kate2015-11-27T00:00:00Z
  • Yolanda and I had a wonderful time in Helene and John's home. They made us feel welcome immediately. Helene is a delightful and charming hostess, very friendly and pleasant. Her home is bright, airy, clean and comfortable. They even made an exception to their "no pets" policy and welcomed our small bichon/toy poodle mix Boo, to her home. Their romping dog Mobbley (sp?) also made our pup welcome and they got along famously. We met her husband John that evening, and he, too, was most welcome, offering us cheese snacks, a drink, and amiable conversation. Our bed was vey comfortable, the bedroom and bath nicely decorated, and Helene had provided us with a great amount of touristy information regarding sites, attractions, dinning opportunities, etc. and even had welcoming candies by the bed. The bathroom was spacious, clean, and everything a person could need. We loved the area as well. The home is situated just about on the northern perimeter of Crozet, well up the side of the adjacent mountain. It was quiet, beautiful and otherwise delightful.

    Robert2015-10-11T00:00:00Z
  • Helene and John stayed in contact with details about our arrival. Welcomed us with wine and sweets. Personally explained the area and local sights with various recommendations to make our stay enjoyable. Guest room and bathroom are on their own floor for privacy. Great stay with friendly hosts made us feel welcome.

    Tim2015-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • Helene and John made us feel very welcome. We were ravenous after a day of hiking when we arrived, and they provided great recommendations for local restaurants that were mere minutes away by car. The next morning they prepared, served and joined us for breakfast. They were great conversationalists! I would recommend this to someone looking for accommodations that feel more like a home than an impersonal hotel. The decor and surroundings were beautiful.

    Sarah2016-04-17T00:00:00Z
  • Helene and John are really lovely couple. The house is located in a nice location in the nature yet it's only 7 mins away from downtown Crozet. The room is nice and bed is comfortable. Private bath is roomy and clean. Their fur babies (one cat and one dog) are very friendly and sweet. Most importantly, it feels like home! Strongly recommend this place!

    Luna2015-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • Helene and John were incredible hosts really making us feel we were staying with friends. We got to walk Mosby which was great as we were missing our dogs! Wine, chocolates chats and breakfast all fantastic as was advice on daily trips and our space in there house. Not forgetting Mango the cat who is happy to have cuddles. We would love to come back and stay for weeks in the trees and see more of the area.

Mechums cottage is in an eclectic rural setting dating back to the 1850's, located just minutes between Crozet and Charlottesville. The property was the site of the Mechum's School Marm. Her house is now my house. Other homes are the School House, the General Store, a house used as a Civil War hospital, The Train Depot Hotel, a small worker's house and probably Native American grounds. Each house has plenty of privacy and together forms a respectful and diverse neighborhood that we appreciate and enjoy and hope you do as well:)

  • This cottage in a beautifully wooded setting is the perfect spot for access to all the Charlottesville/Crozet area has to offer. Spotlessly clean and oh so comfortable...you won’t want to leave. When you spend more than six months of the year traveling, places like this make you very grateful for hosts such as Evelyn, who truly care about the comfort of guests. • Such a gem in the area! The cottage itself is nicely decorated, well equipped, clean, we also enjoyed the pool that is few steps from the cottage near Evelyn's house. Evelyn was very easy to reach either to answer our questions or to keep us informed about her plans, respecting our privacy. The cottage is located at 15min drive from the intersection of 2 scenic drives: going south to blue ridge mountains and going north to Shenendoha: very convenient to explore the region! Perfect experience!

  • Cathe and Russ were very congenial and cordial. Cathe was in constant touch by messages. Replies were quick. They helped us to guide for our trip. Very helpful. Neighborhood was very quite and pin drop silence which i like very much. We were tired and we needed quite space and we got exactly what we wanted. Listing was very accurate and as mentioned. I will definitely stay there again. It was worth well beyond for the dollar that i spent.

  • We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Cathe's house! She was very helpful before our stay providing us with information. Breakfast was included, which was wonderful and Cathe and her husband were very friendly and nice to visit with. We were there for a visit to the University of Virginia and their house was only about a 15 minute drive from the campus. This was a very affordable option and was exactly what we needed. We would definitely stay with Cathe and her husband again!

  • This is a great place for a single or couple to stay. Although it is a room in the host's house, it was very private. The bed was comfortable and we had everything we needed. Russ even took us to our party so we would not have to drive. Very nice couple. Carmen and Cindy

  • Cathe's house is very nice and the location is perfect for the people who wants to drive along Blue Range Parkway or the Skyline in Shanadoah National Park. Cathe prepared us pizza as dinner and hamburger as breakfast, the coffee she made is perfect. We enjoyed the stay with Cathe and Ralff, we like their dogs who are adorable. Ralff is interesting and knowledgable in hiking and geography, we learned a lot from him. Cathe's daughter is a great photographer who took us a nice picture with Cathe and Ralff. We will definitely return.

  • This place was great! It was centrally located to wineries. Very clean and quiet neighborhood. Cathe was friendly, easy to work with and helpful. She went out of her way to make us feel welcomed. I would definitely recommend this place for anyone visiting wineries and breweries in this region.

    Elizabeth2017-04-06T00:00:00Z
  • I highly recommend Cathe’s home. Russ drove me back and forth to where I needed to go, which was extraordinary. Cathe fixed coffee, eggs, and toast for breakfast. The bed was very comfortable and the place very clean. I had a wonderful stay.

  • We had a wonderful time staying in Simon’s guesthouse. The house is clean and comfortable, and his property is peaceful. Simon was a very thoughtful and had coffee, milk, fruit, snacks, and amenities waiting for us. Communication was great and pleasant. The guesthouse was as described, and we would love to return.

    Gonzalo2017-08-14T00:00:00Z
  • Simon is as charming as his cottage. He is the consummate host - there when you need him and respectfully away when you don't. The modern little gem is clean, well-appointed, super convenient and comfortable. I'm already looking forward to my next stay.

    Laura2017-10-22T00:00:00Z
  • Simon's small, private, one bedroom house was absolutely perfect. It was very cozy and Simon was especially accommodating. Could not recommend more!

    Sam2017-04-30T00:00:00Z
  • We loved Simons peaceful place, his lovely dogs and beautiful flower gardens. Highly recommended.

    Rebecca2017-07-14T00:00:00Z
  • Simon is an excellent and conscientious host - he really gets that people come to his area to escape the city or any other reality..the place is secluded but actually very convenient to alot of amenities - especially if you like breweries, wineries, cideries or distilleries! It's also close to Charlottesville - really enjoyed the stay, and he even had chocolate, coffee, fruit, etc. for me to enjoy - Cheers!

    Charlie2017-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • We loved staying at Simon's place. The house was quiet, atmospheric and comfortable. You will have everything you need and if you want to go into to town, its not too far. Simon was really helpful and available but not intrusive. And, the bed is really comfortable. Highly recommended.

  • We had a wonderful vacation staying at Simon's terrific little guesthouse. The house is fresh, clean, and very comfortable. Simon was incredibly thoughtful and left basket of fruit, coffee, milk, orange juice, and more. Perfect for sitting out on the lovely deck in the morning with a nice mug of coffee. Simon was easy to communicate with and did his best to make sure we had a nice stay. Bed was very comfortable and this honestly felt like we were in a little hotel in the country. We would love to return!!

  • Beautiful house in a very convenient location. Jamie was easy to communicate with and responded quickly when we had a question.

  • The host canceled this reservation 8 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.

  • This house is adorable, quiet, and perfect for a little country getaway in the heart of Virginia wine county. The place has a lot of historic charm and character and is quite spacious. It is secluded and quiet, but very close to the main roads and less than 10 minutes from downtown Crozet and 5 minutes from Kings Family Vineyards. Jamie was a great host and left notes for everything we would need. It was clear that he lives in the house but he made space in the closet and refrigerator for guests; the common areas and bathroom were clean and available to be used. Jamie was also very flexible and accommodating when a maintenance issue arose with the air conditioning prior to arrival that wouldn't be repaired in time. He notified us promptly and was willing to accommodate any option to remedy the situation. We had a very comfortable stay and enjoyed the house a lot!

  • Bevin was a great host! She was very accommodating and easy to get a hold of during our trip. The house is beautiful and it was a great girls weekend!

    Brittany2017-04-23T00:00:00Z
  • A group of us went here for my sister's bachlorette party! The house and Bevin were WONDERFUL!! We had booked another house a few months prior but two days before the trip, the owners of the other house had to cancel due to septic system flooding. Needless to say, we were frantically trying to find a new house and we found this LOVELY gem!! Bevin was EXTREMELY quick with communication - we had messaged about 10-15 houses to see if they were available 48 hours before we would have come, and Bevin responded to my message within 7 minutes. We went back and forth multiple times in an hour. When we arrived, Bevin was incredibly organized and showed us around the house for about 15-20 minutes and then let us have fun for the whole weekend! The house was very clean and the back deck and backyard were awesome - bring your suits for the hot tub! Bevin was funny as well, she said not to worry if there was confetti left on the floor since we were celebrating my sister's engagement - she had seen it before. It's also only about 8 miles away from a TON of wineries and getting ubers was not a problem. Definitely will stay here again if I'm in Crozet with a large group of people!!

    Kristin2017-06-04T00:00:00Z
  • Everything! This place is ideal for a Bachelorette, girls weekend or just a fun getaway to enjoy the weather and local wineries. The deck is amazing! It was or favorite spot while at the house.

  • Bevin's home was more than we could have asked for! She was a huge help in finding places for us to go to dinner etc. We also loved Crozet!

    Tess2017-08-13T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect location for exploring and really comfortable place. Although only a short stay, we had a wonderful time. Bevin was very welcoming and full of recommendations

    Isabel2017-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • Bevin was a fantastic host! Their home is a beautiful place to relax and well situated for those looking to hike in Shenandoah national park ( about 25 min drive), visit great local wineries or breweries. We really enjoyed the outdoor fire pit each night. This is a great place at a very reasonable price. Highly recommend.

    Trevor2017-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • Bevin and David's home was awesome! We were doing a couples vineyard tour in the area and they were conveniently located to the vineyards we chose, a gourmet deli, breweries, and not too far from downtown. I highly recommend staying in their home!

  • Helen’s home is absolutely beautiful. She is a very thoughtful and accommodating host, and we thoroughly enjoyed our experience!

    Gabrielle2017-10-22T00:00:00Z
  • Helen's house was absolutely perfect and she was the best host. The house is close to the highway, but nice and tucked away for your own privacy. Helen really made her home feel like your own- tons of communication and everything was at your fingertips if needed. Thanks for your hospitality, Helen!

    Becky2017-06-05T00:00:00Z
  • Helen's house is a large, well-decorated, very comfortable home in a quite, rural area that is only 15 minutes from Charlottesville. We stayed there for my son's graduation from UVA and couldn't have had a better place to stay. The house had many bedrooms, many tvs, comfortable beds, a big deck off the kitchen for entertaining, and a big backyard that our dogs loved. Helen is a gracious host that makes sure you have everything you need (and actually labeled all the drawers in the kitchen) and actually encouraged us to have a graduation party (which we did, using her very nice grill on the deck for grilling burgers). The house is also located only five minutes away from a very nice vineyard (Kings Family Vineyard) which we had a fun time visiting. If anyone wants a nice weekend in the country or is visiting someone at UVA, don't miss the opportunity to stay at Helen's house! Helen is a gracious host who will help you with whatever you need, and we will never forget the wonderful graduation weekend spent at her delightful abode!!

    Wendy2017-05-21T00:00:00Z
  • Helen stays about a mile away so she is very close if you need anything. The home is close to places yet far enough away to make it feel like a retreat. My son was getting married in Fishersville and we housed and hosted about half the wedding party. The house is great for entertaining and it has enough bedrooms and bathrooms to make the stay super comfortable. Helen is fantastic about communicating with you before, during and after your stay!

  • Perfect spot for a weekend of golfing & great breweries on Crozet. Overall great experience!!! Helen was an amazing host, and provided us with everything we could've needed, and went above & beyond in making sure we knew all about the area, and everything that Crozet had to offer. Beautiful home, amazing outdoor space, great views, nice and quiet space for a weekend away!!!

    Bruce2017-04-30T00:00:00Z
  • Helen is an amazing host! My friends and I spent time in the Charlottesville/Crozet area for a Bachelorette weekend and her house was a perfect fit for us! All 9 people had beds to sleep in and the house came equipped with all of the amenities we could possibly need for our stay. This house is great for a large group of people, there is plenty of space for everyone to be comfortable and happy whether you stay two nights- or ten! Helen was willing to help in any way she could, from offering to find us buses for traveling to and from wineries/breweries right after I booked her house to helping me the day of arrival with information, assembling gift bags, etc. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a beautiful house and an exceptional host!

    Dyllan2017-04-02T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time staying with Helen. As a ten person group it can be difficult to find a place that suits everyone, but this home has it all. There was a ping-pong table, air hockey, and foosball table downstairs as well as a fire pit and grill. Helen even thoughtfully supplies board games and a chess set! We would have been entertained for weeks. The location is a stone's throw away from several breweries and wineries with a convenient grocery store only 10 minutes away. The rooms were incredibly comfortable with each room including an individual air conditioning unit and stocked with a bottle of water. We could not have asked for a kinder more generous host. She thought of everything! There are extra chargers, toiletries, and even kitchen supplies to help you out in case anything was forgotten. Staying here was a dream, I can't recommend it enough.

    Elizabeth2017-09-17T00:00:00Z
  • Helen was an absolutely outstanding host! I rented the house on behalf of family staying in the area for my wedding. Helen had the house stocked and ready for them -- complete with ironing boards and all the good stuff needed for a family traveling with formal wear. Her hospitality, kindness, and generosity towards my family was unmatched. She had the home ready and waiting for them and was available for any need that may arise. She let us know that she would be just a short drive away and even offered to allow us to stage items needed for the wedding with her as she would be just a mile away from our venue over the weekend. She went above and beyond as a host and I cannot say enough about how relieving it was to have one less stress to worry about over the weekend. Helen takes care of her guests -- I 100% recommend her home to anyone hoping to enjoy a stay in Crozet.
