* NO DOGS, NO SMOKING* Sleeps 4 perfectly! Appx 8 miles from town and centered in the heart of wine country! Plan your escape to where the views and sunsets will take your breath away. We feel the home is a perfect getaway for couples wanting to relax or go wine tasting or explore the coast just 30 minutes away! Due to the steep stairs it is not a safe environment for babies or toddlers No extra guests are allowed on the premises due to liability, thank you kindly.
You will love the beautiful view the property has to offer! If you love to wine taste, you've come to the right place! This cute and almost brand new custom built home has all the amenities you will want. Situated in the country with all the modern features. Enjoy a glass of wine on the huge deck in the evenings or a complimentary coffee in the morning! Home offers two bedrooms with queen size beds and one full bath. Cozy up by the fireplace in the winter months. Beautiful and peaceful country setting but not far from all the wineries and dining. The beach is appx 30 minutes away! • Myself, my husband, and another couple decided to go to Paso for a fun wine weekend. We're so glad that we found Kathy's listing. We were greeted warmly by Kathy upon arrival, given a personalized tour of the place. My husband and I explored the grounds, and had a wonderful time chatting with Kathy and her husband while gazing at the rolling hills behind that amazing pool. They gave us great recommendations for restaurants and wineries in the area, and just overall made us feel incredibly welcomed. As for the space itself, everything was even better than pictured! We loved the beautiful kitchen, the fireplace, and most of all the amazing views from our own deck. The space was private, but with Kathy accessible next door just in case anything went wrong (it didn't). Kathy made us amazing monkey bread, and there were eggs from her own chickens in the fridge along with champagne and OJ for mimosas. We felt so welcomed here, and would go back in a second!

  • We booked the house for a relaxing few days before a work trip to San Francisco and were expecting a fairly standard holiday home, however we were blown away by the spectacular location and the amazing property. Pictures could not possibly do this place justice; the house is spacious and luxuriously furnished and the spectacular panoramic views are breathtaking. We were greeted by Kathy on our arrival who made us feel very welcome with homemade cake and a tour around the property, and who went out of her way to provide us with everything we could possibly want during our stay. While we spent a good proportion of our stay relaxing by the pool, the local area had plenty of fabulous restaurants, shops and wineries to keep us entertained. We would love to return to this property at some point in the future, and strongly suggest that anyone debating whether to book a stay here should do so without hesitation!

  • Kathy was great. Like other reviews mentioned, when we arrived we were greeted with an awesome monkey bread cake, bottled waters, wine, the works! The place itself is in a great location if your into wineries and great views. Ohhh the views... The views from the living room and the massive deck are fantastic. The house was spotless and well appointed. The sound system throughout the house was a nice way to 'wine' down after a day of tastings! The beds were comfy and the bedding was very clean. The weather was a little cool by the time we were ready to use the pool, but it was beautiful. The only downside was the pool was right next to the owners house, and sometimes it felt like we were encroaching on their territory. The owner was extremely nice about the situation, but it was still a little awkward. All in all it was a lovely place. The value, views, location, and cleanliness mean that we would stay here again. Our group was happy!

  • Kathy's rental in Templeton was one of my favorite AirBNB experiences to date! Pictures cannot do justice to the incredible views! We stayed for a girls' getaway weekend and spent our time on the beautiful deck overlooking the vineyards, chatting and drinking wine in the sun. The pool was beautiful and it was great chatting with Kathy and her friends. They have a few sweet dogs on the property, including the most charming bloodhound you could ever meet! This was by far the best "stocked" AirBNB I've stayed at: the kitchen had everything you need to cook and Kathy was sweet to leave wine, fruit, bagels etc. in the fridge, AND bake us delicious monkey bread which we had with our morning coffee. We also took advantage of the BBQ, outdoor speakers, and the air conditioning when it got too hot to sit outside. We definitely had all we needed for a great weekend. I honestly can't say enough good things about this rental. I will definitely be back!

  • Fantastic stay. Beautiful property with really stunning views. Kathy was incredibly helpful and even baked a cake for someone who had a birthday in our party! Would absolutely stay again.

  • I wish we could have stayed longer!! Kathy's place is just wonderful. The view is amazing, the landscape beautiful and the appartment had everything we could possibly need. The pool next to Kathy's house is fantastic, and our boys loved it. We had a great time. Kathy is a wonderful host, everything worked perfect. She backed us a fantastic cake and was very friendly. We would love to come back and stay at her place again.

  • A FIVE STAR EXPERIENCE!!! We celebrated our 22 wedding anniversary at the Moonlight Ranch! Our stay could not have been nicer! PROs: Friendly and helpful host. Luxury accommodations! Central location to wineries and Morro Bay. Lovely deck for drinking wine, barbecues and star gazing. Relaxing infinity pool! CONs: NONE!!!!!

    Katie2016-07-26T00:00:00Z
  • Awesome rental. Thanks to Kathy for an amazing weekend. Very responsive. Place was just as described. Great amenities. Very spacious living area and well-appointed kitchen. Nice large deck for BBQ. Location is a bit out of town and last part of drive is a few hundred yards down a dirt road but this is really the only "negative" about the ranch. If it's available for your stay just hit book and don't even think twice. Make sure to mention if you have any special events to Kathy ahead of time (though being as amazing as she is she will likely ask herself).

Peaceful country setting on the Olivas de Oro olive orchard with neighboring vineyards and wine tasting. Rancho Olivas de Oro is a working olive and sheep ranch.
  • This home has lots of space and a wonderful kitchen! Its rural setting offers quiet and expansive views. The sunken patio beckoned for peacful times but wedding preparation kept us busy-busy. Our summer stay appreciated the efficient air conditioning system. Regarding cleanliness, this is five-star-plus!!! Our stay could only be improved by adding one more night...time to relax.

    Linda2017-07-02T00:00:00Z
  • Loved the unique setting in an olive orchard with a sheep pen nearby. My kids enjoyed seeing the sheep and sheepdogs. At night it was very quiet and great for stargazing. Very peaceful .

  • Marti and Frank were wonderful! They gave us clear instruction to the house knowing that we would be arriving late in the dark. The house was clean with towels, soaps, coffee, laundry machines...etc all available to you. They even have an herb garden for you to cook with! We saw 4 shooting stars that night - this is a luxury to us city folks! Thank you Marti and Frank. We would love to come back any time!

    Jessie2017-08-13T00:00:00Z
  • It was a great stay in a beautiful place! We had a blast! The olive oil was delicious!

    Riin2016-08-21T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at Olivas de Oro was outstanding. The property is surrounded by farms and vineyards and when we arrived to the orchard we felt as though we had genuinely retreated from everyday life into total tranquility. We skipped our afternoon plans to explore the area and stayed in for oil tasting and reclining in the shade. The house is very functional and spacious. The beds, bathrooms, and kitchen were nice and easy to move into. Everything was very clean. There are patios with gorgeous views on both sides of the house and there is a sunken courtyard with a fire pit, grill, table, and charming outdoor lighting (which we ultimately turned off to promote stargazing which was a real treat to a family that comes from city life). Ultimately, my six-year-old was asking us to buy the house and the adults all have visions of returning each year for a new family tradition. Great job Marti and Frank. You have created something very special. Thank you!

    Ivan2016-07-11T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay. Marti was very prompt and informative in all the communication with us. He recommended some great restaurants and wineries close by that we really enjoyed. Olive tasting in Marti's tasting room was awesome. We all enjoyed this beautiful house and a nice yard with fireplace, surrounded by olive trees and sheep farm.

  • We could not have asked for a better place to stay. The house was just as described, just what we wanted, the hosts made us feel at home. While all of our needs were attended to, we were left alone to enjoy a private experience. The location was ideal, it was secluded, but just 20 minutes from anything you might want to do. Our favorite spot was the front porch, we sat and talked, played games and reconnected. It was nice to just get caught up on our daily lives. We were with my daughter's family from the Bay area, we are from southern California, so we met in the middle. If you are from a city, your breath will be taken away with the stars at night. Away from city lights, they are magnificent, something I was looking forward to seeing. During the day, we went to Morro Bay and Pasa Robles, and spent time wine tasting at few vineyards. If you are planning a wine tasting trip, this is the ideal place to stay, you have so many to choose from that are local, not to mention the great wines served right where you will stay. If just you want to escape and unwind this is a perfect spot, and if you grew up in the country, this will remind you of those days. For any occasion, I would recommend staying here. You couldn't ask for better hosts or house to stay in. It's a perfect place to explore from, and return to and relax.

  • We stayed at the ranch house. It's a beautiful place and well decorated with a rustic feel to it. We all had an amazing time there. Make sure you do the barrel room tour.

  • Beautiful rustic place amongst the vineyards. The wines at the Château were some of the best wines I've ever had.

  • The cottage at Chateau Margene is the perfect secluded spot to enjoy Central Coast Wine Country and also try some of the best California Cabernet Wines.

    Jim2017-05-29T00:00:00Z
  • The ranch house was excellent, it actually looked better than the photos in fact. The property is lovely, very quiet and we were really able to relax. It's close to everything you need in Paso and lot's of wineries. Perfect for 2 couples for a weekend away!

    Grace2016-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely beautiful place. It would have been nice to know that others live in the adjacent house. It was certainly no problem but the first time they pulled up, parked and got out of their vehicle, we didn't really know what was going on. Really enjoyed the visit!

Rustic, relaxing, modern, luxurious and utilitarian, all in our newly constructed, secluded Cabin on a hill. A separate, winding driveway leads you up to the Cabin, which is private, quiet & serene. An open floor plan of 1,000 square feet adds a zen-like quality to the property. This is a one-bedroom with an additional loft space. Enjoy our private patio for a special night of sunsets, al fresco dining and star gazing. Also, available for private parties or an intimate wedding.
The Cabin is literally "off-the-grid". Solitude, peace and tranquility are what dominates this picturesque space high up on a hill overlooking hills and mature oak and pine trees. This is a tremendous space for a romantic weekend or to be used as kids quarters while you stay in our nearby Villa.
Creston sits right in the heart of Paso Robles Wine Country. From HorseTail Ranch, you are 10-30 minutes (by car) from some of the best wines in California. Check listings for wine tastings - you may want to bring back a bottle or two to HorseTail Ranch. Enjoy a private barbeque on our private outdoor dining area.
  • HorseTail Place was an epic experience. From the beautiful drive to the location, to the warm welcome we received from Brian and Crystal once we arrived was outstanding. The HorseTail place was an enchanting spot, quiet, reserved, very functional, cute decor, and outstanding view. We got to do a horse ride on the property to add to our weekend, and had the best time staying here. I would recommend it to anyone who loves staying in a cabin, at a horse ranch, for a quiet country get away. We will definately be back again! Thank you for being so accommodating and kind to us.

  • Great spot if you have children - walking trails, a horse ranch and loads of open space. But take bug repellant!

  • The Cabin was a perfect place for us to stay while in Creston for a wedding. Brian was super friendly and helpful. It’s a place that you definitely want to stay more than one night at just to wake up to the beautiful scenery. Definitely recommend to family and friends!

  • HorseTail Ranch is an amazing place to stay for any trip to the Paso Robles area, whether it's a home base for other adventures in the area or simply for a relaxing weekend. The property is a beautiful rolling landscape with amazing views & sunsets. Everyone we interacted with was welcoming and helpful. My family all agreed that we'd definitely stay there again on our next trip to Paso.

    Daniel2017-05-07T00:00:00Z
  • We booked the cabin and the villa for a birthday celebration with a large group. It was the perfect getaway. The property is absolutely beautiful and the remote location allowed us to truly enjoy our weekend full of cooking, drinking wine, and star gazing by the fire pit. Both the villa and cabin have a rustic and stylish charm and all of the accommodations were in tip-top shape. Kena & Brian were incredibly helpful throughout the experience as well!

    Masha2017-11-12T00:00:00Z
  • The Cabin at Horsetail is incredible. Our group of 6 drove down from San Francisco for a long weekend. We pulled into Horsetail greeted by horses, pigs, and the friendliest dog. The drive up to the cabin is beautiful and we made it just in time for sunset. Our group used the BBQ every night and the little kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. Brian is an amazing host and we wish we signed up for a horse riding trip through the nearby properties. If you're looking for a quiet getaway with beautiful sunsets, this is the perfect spot. We'll definitely be back.

    Mary2017-11-27T00:00:00Z
  • HorseTail was a great find! The loft-type "cabin" designed like a barn, is located on a hill at the HorseTail Ranch - very private. We were in Creston for a bicycle event which started less than 10 minutes from the ranch. The newly built structure is decorated in elegantly western simplicity and the layout worked great for us. The owner and caretaker, Brian, couldn't have been more helpful. Very enjoyable weekend.

    steve2017-04-09T00:00:00Z
  • This is a lovely and charming place. The cabin is well appointed and very tastefully decorated. The location and surrounding is peaceful and beautiful. Enjoy a drink at the outside bar watching the sunset. BBQ and relax in your own outdoor patio. We really enjoyed our stay. The owner and the property manager were super nice and attentive.

This cute ranch house is close to many wineries to go wine tasting. In addition the little town of Creston is located just 2 miles down the road- complete with a steak house, little market and post office. Perfect location for day trips exploring the Central Coast. This is a very relaxing get away surrounded by nature. If you are looking for a get away to relax and unwind, this is the perfect spot for you. Lastly, we live on the property too- so if you should need anything we are close by.
While staying in this cozy ranch house, you will be surrounded by gorgeous oak trees and nature while on the 26 acre ranch that is home to horses, pigs and ranch dogs. BBQ on the back patio with a nice glass of wine and enjoy the beautiful and peaceful scenary. The kitchen has cookware for you to make your meals should you chose to as well as coffee and tea. Please keep in mind this is a ranch in the country (sometimes we have snakes, coyotes, etc). But if you are lucky, you will get to see the Bald Eagles that fly overhead too.
Our neighbors are in the distance as we are in the country. Please drive slow on the dirt roads.
  • Nice stay, just be prepared to use your hot spot and bring your own wifi, because there is no service.

  • If you are looking for a secluded house to rent in Creston this place is great. At night it got so dark which was amazing. Cozy and quaint.

  • This place was so relaxing, clean and cozy. Perfect for our family and dog. Amy was a great host.

    Kim2017-12-10T00:00:00Z
  • This house in Creston was an amazing way to temporarily escape the craziness of living in a big city. The house was clean and well furnished. Amy was welcoming and communicative, which made the whole experience that much more pleasant. The quiet, secluded ambiance coupled with a truly dark night sky made this a memorable place to stay for someone coming from and urban living situation.

  • Easy check in & out. Beautiful horses, very nice and quiet ranch. Host is very responsive. You have your privacy & Wifi. House is very clean. Great location if you are on your way to Carrizo Plain from the Bay Area. I would highly recommend this place!

  • This ranch home is so nice and peaceful. We came out for a weekend getaway and found ourselves in the perfect home away from home. I loved being so far from all the major (and minor) cities. We even got to sit out and watch the stars and meteor showers. I would recommend Amy's place for anyone who wants a quiet place to stay and doesn't mind driving 20-30 min to get into town. We loved every bit of it.

  • We really enjoyed our stay very quite surroundings lush green vineyards. Very private, Sandra had a really cool space to relax and enjoy our anniversary. Very hospitable hostess, luxurious bedding and above and beyond what we expected. Worth the drive up. Awesome stay! Close to Templeton and Creston and Paso Robles. Wineries within a few minutes. A must see on the bucket list! Thanks Sandra!

    Javan2016-09-19T00:00:00Z
  • A little far to get breakfast or civilization. If you want to get away from it all, this is the place.

    Brent2017-10-15T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed at Sandra's with my mother, and I couldn't have asked for a better experience for her first Airbnb. The suite (it is way more than just a room, it is huge!) was amazing, and Sandra has thought of everything - the bathroom was stocked with anything you could need, a chocolate beside the bed, additional linens, robes, a welcome snack with fresh homemade lemonade, brochures on wineries and other things in the area. Sandra gave us very detailed instructions on how to get there, and recommended different wineries and restaurants. The Loading Chute in the small town of Creston is 5 minutes drive, and we had a very good meal there. The location is stunning, we enjoyed a morning walk amongst the vines, and took a bottle of wine to the sunset spot. We enjoyed breakfast with Sandra on our last morning, and sent sent us off with a bag of lemons. I'll have to try making lemonade myself now! By the far the best Airbnb I've stayed in

    Michelle2016-05-01T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay was nothing short of amazing! The house is located on a private vineyard (Straw Ridge Vineyards) on top of the hill. The views are fantastic and serene. We had our own private driveway and private entrance into the master suite. I loved how the french doors opened directly to the indoor pool and jacuzzi. Our King bed was comfortable and there was a big walk in closet and plenty of drawers to put your clothes in. Our host Sandra even gave us a bottle of wine from her vineyard. The bathroom was a good size and came with ‘his and hers’ sinks, vanity area, and a jacuzzi tub. The shower in the bathroom was great! It had dual shower heads with independent water temperature controls along with an additional handheld component (also with separate controls!). Just down the hall you will find a perfectly equipped gym, steam room and another dual-head shower. This area had a microwave, small fridge, and coffee maker. You will not need to bring anything. There were plenty of bathroom amenities for men and women, and other things such as wine openers, cups etc. Everything was just as it was pictured and described. Sandra was an excellent host, she greeted us and provided a tour, we were left to enjoy our privacy and indulge in the spa-like amenities!

    CHRIS2017-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • This was a fantastic find! What an incredible place. We absolutely loved everything about it from the host to the beautiful rooms and views. This far exceeded our expectation even though we had read the other glowing reviews. The "room" is really the entire downstairs apartment with adjoining indoor lap pool, steam room, two huge bathrooms and an exercise room. From the bedroom you have a great view of the pool and the vineyards beyond. It was just beautiful. And Sandra was a wonderful host. She provided us with some snacks when we arrived and homemade lemonade and one day she fixed breakfast for us on the side patio which was really lovely. I would not change a thing and hope we can book it again on our next trip to Paso. We were extremely lucky it was available-a real value in a wonderful location. It is close to the Creston wine trail and the Backroads wine trail. But nothing is very far in Paso Robles. Thank you Sandra for being a wonderful host!

    Christian2016-06-06T00:00:00Z
  • This was by the far the nicest Airbnb property we have ever stayed at! The (two) bathroom and showers were jaw-dropping; the private pool, hot tub, and gym were amazing; the bedroom was spacious and inviting; the views and sunset were so beautiful; and the architecture of the house was Italian-villa-like and exquisite. Sandra did many things to try to make our stay special. She served us delicious homemade lemonade upon arrival, had yummy chocolates by our bedside, and complementary trail mix and coffee available. She also had slippers and robes for us to use, all of the bathroom essentials, and a well organized binder full of ideas of things to do and places to eat in the area. Her suggestion of Sculpterra was excellent and we loved it there. We were very impressed with all of these details that made it feel like we were staying at a fine hotel. There were a few things that transpired during our stay that made it slightly less enjoyable, which could have been improved with better communication. For instance, we were told that if we wanted to use the hot tub we would need to notify Sandra before 10pm, so that she could turn it on for us and give it a half hour to warm-up before she went to bed. On our anniversary night, we went out to dinner from 6:15-9:15pm. When we left our dinner, we called Sandra to ask her if she could turn the hot tub on for us, so that it would be ready for us when we got back, as we were a 25 minute drive away. Sandra reacted displeased at this call and said that she wished I had told her sooner, which my husband and I did not understand as we were letting her know before 10pm, as stipulated. She did end up turning it on for us, but it was an unnecessary stress on our anniversary evening to have her react like we were inconveniencing her. In addition, while it was not required for breakfast to be provided, Sandra offered to make us breakfast on out last day, but never delivered on that expectation she had set. On the morning when we were told breakfast would be provided, she did not answer or return our phone calls and voice mails asking her if breakfast was still happening. We have given her the benefit of the doubt that this mistake was due to confusion on her part, but nevertheless it was a disappointment. Furthermore, be sure to get a full tutorial on the AC, so you aren't hot. We couldn't figure out how to get it working and were uncomfortable at times. Also, be prepared for a very bumpy dirt road leading to the home, as well as a bed and pillows that could be more comfortable. Overall, the pros far outweigh the cons and I still highly recommend staying here.

  • All of the raving reviews about this place are spot on. The pictures are accurate and the space is enormous! The property is a bit off the beaten track, but that's what we were looking for. We wandered through the grapevines and over the rolling hills and watched the sunset over Creston/ Paso Robles. We were a pleasant 40-minute drive to Morro Bay, where we spent one afternoon. On-site, we watched a movie from the DVD collection (A Walk In The Clouds- very appropriate), enjoyed the hot tub (and a dare jump into the cold pool), the steam shower, and could have worked out in the loaded weight room, if we were feeling that ambitious. There is a little bar area with a coffeemaker, a toaster oven, a mini-fridge and various kitchenette supplies. Sandra was very hospitable and made us feel both comfortable and welcome. She set out a snack, lemonade, and a bottle of wine on our arrival. She also invited us to breakfast the first day and offered us smoothies on the second morning. We really enjoyed hearing about her adventures in owning a winery. She is pleasant and seems to take joy in entertaining and keeping guests happy. A very nice lady.

  • The biggest asset this house has is space. It's very spacious with plenty of room for everyone. Unfortunately though, it's very dated. All of the appliances except for the cooktop are outdated and the water heater doesn't produce enough hot water to last for one shower. After we laid our toddler down for the night, we also discovered the door to the bedroom our toddler was sleeping in gets stuck in the door jam and has to be forced open. It's just old. It certainly could have been cleaner as well. There was trash from a previous guest in a bedroom closet and spiderwebs found in closets and on window sills. It's not a bad place to stay and with some attention and updating, it could be great. However, we're definitely unhappy with how much our stay cost, considering the condition of the place.

    Daniel2016-07-25T00:00:00Z
  • It's a nice place for a family outing

    Rekha2017-12-26T00:00:00Z
  • This place was awesome! The house was perfect for a group of 12. It was clean and comfortable. The beds and pillows where the best. The patio area was so beautiful and perfect for socializing and relaxing. Only compliant was the cold water. Maybe 2 out of 12 people got warm showers.

    Marleen2016-07-18T00:00:00Z
  • What a lovely home. We enjoyed every minute. Great sized bedrooms. Huge kitchen which was excellent for our group dinner. Lots of room for separate conversations and alone time. The grounds were fantastic. We enjoyed learning about the home's history. Can't wait to return.

  • The House was secluded, which was nice because we liked the quietness.

  • Very responsive team - great hosts.

    sunil2017-08-20T00:00:00Z
  • It was rustic and the cows added a nice feel. We got there after the sun went down and since it is out in the country it was dark and difficult to find. That was our fault. I would stay there again if they fix the hot water issue.

    Rodney2016-10-16T00:00:00Z
  • We had a pleasant stay at the Ranch House. We received very thorough instructions from Becky & Kathy to prepare us for the stay, and check-in and check-out could not be any easier. The house itself was immaculately clean, though a little dated with shag carpeting and popcorn ceilings. We had everything we needed in terms of toiletries -- clean and luxurious towels, and shampoo and conditioner and soap in all the bathrooms. Even in the incredibly hot Paso Robles summer weather (well into three-digit temperatures!), the house stayed cool and comfortable.

  • The cottage was so cute and comfortable. We had a great two days here. Nicole was a great host, always responded very quickly!

    Blanca2017-07-10T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage comes stocked ready with a washing machine and dryer, a dishwasher, full kitchen, full plates, bowls, and silverware, and even an extra trundle bed and fold out couch. The rooms are spacious and clean. Overall an amazing stay for our group as we explored all over the area (Paso Robles, Morro Bay, Pismo Beach, San Luis Obispo). One caveat: the location is a little remote from any particular city center, so we found the best way to enjoy the cottage was to go out for long days and come back for a relaxing night, rather than trying to go back and forth to the cottage multiple times in one day.

    Ben2017-08-03T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful cottage, clean, easy to find. Beautiful countryside. Good value and nice amenities! Would stay again in a heartbeat.

  • Very comfortable place to stay off the beaten path. The house is decorated so cute, and the kitchen has everything you need to cook meals at the Cottage. Great yard to enjoy, perfect for people like us traveling with their Fur-kids. Such a treat to stay at Matt & Nicole's place. We will definitely be back!

  • Great house in a great location. Close to a lot of nice wineries and not too far from the coast and some really nice hikes. Nicole was awesome, great communication. I would highly recommend staying here.

  • We absolutely LOVED GG's Cottage! It was roomier than we expected. Everything was clean and very inviting! We enjoyed the fenced yard area, perfect to let the dogs run around and for us to unwind with a glass of wine while we BBQed. Nicole & Matt were fantastic Hosts! Very quick to respond with any questions we had, excellent communication. We were greeted at the cottage with a lovely bottle of wine and personalized welcome note. Very nice touch. We look forward to staying at the cottage agin!

Glamping amongst horses in the heart of wine country! Enjoy the spectacular views and peaceful country atmosphere in this 24 foot brand-new trailer located on a ranch for rescued and retired horses, perched in the hills above Creston Valley wine country. From here, you are just minutes away from over 300 wineries in the Paso Robles wine region.
Guests will have access to swimming pool and hot tub (no lifeguard on duty). Pets can't be left unsupervised in trailer, but there are kennels on the property in case you want to leave them as you venture around the area. FYI: we have three fun-loving dogs ourselves, who are generally free to roam the property. There is access to the washer/dryer for an additional charge. And if interested, we also offer social dance lessons (swing, Salsa etc.) for an additional charge.
We are only four minutes away (by car) from a world-class steak house (The Loading Chute), a small store (with great pizzas), a "cowboy church", and a "cowboy bar". And don't forget the hundreds of wineries!
  • Lets first start on what a gorgeous drive through the wineries you experience as you arrive to this beautiful ranch where you are greeted by horses! Followed by the homey and spacious RV! If having s’mores (kindly offered by host) alongside the fire pit outside where you can stargaze with horses isn’t enough to call you in! Lets include the spectacular views of the ranch enjoyed in a comfortable hot tub! Did I mention the hosts also surprise you with breakfast in the morning and if that hasn’t left you in awe. Should I mention the priceless experience of feeding carrots to horses?! I don’t know about you but it’s not everyday I feed horses—what an honor to have had the pleasure to bond with such beauties! Last but definitely not least... The radiant hosts who go above and beyond to truly show you a magnificent stay! If you want to experience true genuine hospitality and find kindred spirits—look no further! By far the best bnb experience I have ever had! I highly recommend!

  • Chris's place was perfect, exactly what we were hoping for as a getaway from the city. My girlfriend and I stayed here, as well as our puppy, Chloe. Both Liane and I were blown away by the scenery of the place, but Chloe definitely enjoyed it the most. Between Chris's own dogs and horses, Chloe made several new friends and got more exercise than ever. The place really was perfect in the countryside and we couldn't recommend it more. Chris and Bobby were great hosts that not only gave us recommendations on surrounding wineries, but offered us breakfast and above and beyond hospitality. We would definitely recommend a stay here, if you get the chance.

    Kai2018-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • The beautiful backdrop of horses, hills, and sunset was the perfect getaway. Our pup was so happy to meet the other dogs and horses, not to mention the expanse to run and explore. The delicious croissants and Nutella delivered to the trailer was also a great touch.

    Virginia 2018-01-07T00:00:00Z
  • Very nice! It is quite remote and you live in a camper. We were there during winter and it did get quite chilly at night but our hosts were very accommodating and made a nice fire for us to make s’mores on arrival. Lovely dogs and a beautiful night sky in front of the fire entertained us in the evening and we had breakfast watching the horses feed. All in all a great experience. If you desire hotel-like facilities & services this place is not for you, perhaps. Their own description is accurate and we enjoyed staying with Billie & Chris very much.

    Erik2018-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • From the moment we arrived at Sunset Ranch, we felt comfortable and right at home. Chris and Billie were such accommodating hosts and they made our stay truly unforgettable; from giving us recommendations on what to do during our stay in Creston, to just being overall friendly people, they went above and beyond. Upon arrival we were greeted with a full s’mores set-up, complete with jumbo marshmallows and all the fixings. They even set the fire up for us so all we all to way light it and we were ready to go. The next morning they provided us with breakfast delivered straight to the trailer; which was appreciated on the cold morning. We sat on the patio and had a perfect view of the wine country and the property’s horses eating their breakfast. Having horses so close to the trailer was an amazing touch, especially for the kids. The trailer itself was very comfortable. Although it was really cold outside, the trailer stayed warm and cozy. Everything was in amazing condition and we really didn’t have any complaints. Despite the cold, we took advantage of the hot tub and it was great! We can’t wait to come back in the summer and try out the pool!

    Amber2017-12-24T00:00:00Z
  • What a great experience! Chris introduced us to the horses and provided our family with a tour of the property. Definitely happy campers!

    Vanesa2017-10-29T00:00:00Z
  • Staying here was the highlight of our road trip! We cannot say enough about how friendly and welcoming Chris and Billy were. Between playing with the dogs and horses, roasting s’mores over the campfire, star gazing, and walking around their beautiful property we made so many wonderful memories. It was a unique and perfect experience and we could not have asked for anything more!

    Hannah2018-01-15T00:00:00Z
  • Very nice view. Hosts are kind and welcoming people. We enjoyed the breakfast basket they brought us and learning about their horses. We stayed overnight when going to a show at vino Robles, it was about 20 minutes away from downtown paso.

  • Rick is an attentive and responsive host. The home is located in a rural farming area, and was exactly what we wnated. The neighbors were far away. There were olive groves on either side of the home. There was perfectly placed seating all around outdoors with a perfect view of the sunset every day. The home is stylishly appointed, with most of the basic needs in both kitchen and bath. Serious cooks may have to get creative as some other necessities weren't available (cutting board, colander). The home is located close to many wineries. Bottom line is I would stay here again and recommend it to others.

  • We had an amazing time during our week stay in this house! It is extremely clean, comfortable and well maintained. Rick the owner is incredibly responsive and was available to answer any questions we had throughout our stay. He has done a great job portraying his house in the description. The views are unbelievable...don't miss out on at least one sunset on the patio! We will absolutely be back and highly recommend this house to someone looking for accommodations in Paso Robles! Thank you so much Rick!!

  • Great home, clean, nicely decorated, comfortable and even better than described. Very quiet area and check in was a breeze! Rick was great with recommendations for dinner spots in town. His home is centrally located and an easy drive to wineries, down town Paso as well as old town Templeton. I would choose to stay here again and recommend Ricks home to others. Thank you for a great stay!

  • We would totally recommend this house!!! It was clean, cozy, relaxing, close enough to town, but you could enjoy a quiet weekend and go no where. Sunset was beautiful from the patio or the living room. Rick responded quickly to every message request we sent. THANK YOU Rick for sharing your amazing house with us.

    Terry2017-10-01T00:00:00Z
  • Rick's place is absolutely perfect for a getaway to Paso Robles. His place is super clean and I couldn't ask for a better stocked kitchen and updated bathrooms. The space is well decorated and has a cozy and hip feel with a nice open living room and kitchen area. Also, the house is surrounded by beautiful views of hills and vineyards with a number of outside seating areas to take in the view! The house is about 15-20 mins from downtown Paso Robles.

  • I was looking into a weekend home to stay with my toddler son and my babysitter. I was there for my brother's wedding and it an adult only affair, so naturally I needed a home that had plenty of space for my son to run outside. Rick's home was perfect. Very welcoming, immaculately clean, and all the amenities at my disposal to make our stay that much better. He answered all my texts right away. Needless to say my son had an amazing time. It was his first time seeing cows and rabbits, he was definitely happy. Thank you Rick for your wonderful hospitality!

  • Great house, nice place. Loved the bathroom. William was courteous and extra nice. I just am not familiar with the country, and it is very quiet but a bit scary if you aren't with someone, you can get lost. Show up in the day and there should not be a problem. My advise is to be there when William is home and then he can guide you through.

  • PERFECT Place to be!!! Clare's Classic Cottage was amazing. And Clare is truly a Super Host. I have never had an Airbnb experience like this. Clare responded quickly, had suggestions, left a little birthday gift for me upon arrival, and was available anytime. She provided local winery tasting coupons and a binder full of information. She was so pleasant, her home was clean and laid out just as the pictures showed. I felt comfortable, most importantly welcomed in Clare's Cottage. There was a master bedroom, a long hallway and sliding door dividing to the other master bedroom which had two twin beds. Clare set up an air mattress for us in the living room-perfect! We were able to connect to the stereo system via AUX cable. There is very spotty cell service and no wi-fi, but hell-we didn't miss it. It's good to unplug and enjoy people's company. There is an adorable patio set up with chairs and bbq grill, we didn't have enough time to take advantage of it, but we shall on our next visit. My friends and I had such a great weekend, we actually didn't make it out of Tempelton, however we did make it out with 3 cases of wine. We had every intentions to visit Paso Robles, but there were many great local recommendations. Thank you Clare for helping make this birthday weekend fab and affordable! We had a blast.

  • If you're looking for some relaxation, peace & quiet, this is the place. We loved the weekend spent at the cottage. Clare is a gracious host and very accommodating. We arrived on a very hot summer day & she took the time to make sure the cottage is nice & cool for us. Thank you Clare for the breakfast treats & the wine. We really enjoyed our stay & would love to visit again.

  • We loved this place and hope to stay here again. We made this our halfway point for an LA trip. It added a little driving but very worth it to not have to stay on I-5. This place is immaculate. Comfortable beds. Excellent heating. A great sitting room with a fireplace that even we could get started! Looks just like the pictures. The host was highly available to us but we really never needed her as everything was ready for us. Gorgeous country road setting with plenty to do in the area: wineries, food, natural sights.

    james2016-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • Claire's cottage is a cozy and nice home in the middle of wineyeards in the countryside. The kitchen is well equipped and it was a pleasure to cook there. We were welcomed with delicious cheese and a bottle of local wine. Claire is a caring and friendly host.

  • We stayed the weekend at Clare's Classic Cottage during the Wine Harvest weekend. Clare's place is exactly as described, and she made us feel very welcome during our stay. The property is very clean, bright, private, and quiet! The patio in back is perfect for enjoying morning coffee or afternoon wine! Communication with Clare is very responsive, and she made arrival, the stay, and departure super easy, and she very nice and friendly! We recommend it highly and will be repeat visitors! Thanks Clare!

  • Clare was wonderful. Very easy to communicate and work with to a lovely stay. She welcomed me and my girlfriend and my girlfriend's brother and sister with open arms. She included a breakfast items like coffee, english muffins and orange juice just to get us started. She also welcomed us with a bottle of wine upon are arrival. If you are looking for a great place for yourself and a few friends to go wine tasting in San Luis Obispo...Clare's cottage is an ideal location with the first winery only a few minutes away. Five Stars for Clare's Cottage and thank you from all of us, David Wrigh (Website hidden by Airbnb)

  • We had a lovely stay at Clare's! It is a private, quiet and beautiful location for a serene experience. Its about 15 minute drive into town, we used uber and it worked perfectly for us after a day of wine tasting. It's exactly as we expected, the pictures are very accurate and the kitchen had all the touches so we could make beautiful meals. We were celebrating a birthday and Clare went the extra mile with a sweet bday treat, card and beautiful bottle of wine waiting for us. She has an information guide with wine tasting coupons, restaurant menus, etc. we only wish we had another day (or three!).

  • This place blew us away! I was looking for a house to fit my girlfriends and I for our annual girls trip. We found Linda's home to be perfect and it over exceeded our expectations. The house had a beautiful view from the living room out onto rolling hills of vineyards which was a treat to have while enjoying a cup of coffee. My girlfriends continued to say how amazing and spacious the place was throughout our 3 nights there. On top of the great house, Linda was VERY responsive and easy to communicate with. I cannot thank her enough for being so accommodating with winery recommendations, locations to eat, places to watch fireworks, and even welcoming us to the house with a huge smile on her face. Thank you for making our trip one we will never forget!

  • This place was so wonderful. It was exactly as it looked in the pictures, beautifully decorated and clean. It was perfect for our group. The views were quite spectacular as well. I would highly recommend this place, especially for small groups!

  • There is no a better way to enjoy what Paso has to offer. Spectacular settings, comfortable house with pool among vines. Amazing sunset. Everything is better than pictures can show. We will be back! Eugene

  • Linda's place was absolutely magical!!! The pictures of the property do not do it justice!! Nestled in the middle of gorgeous vineyards.... in a very quaint area. We loved just hanging out on the property enjoying the pool and gazing at the stars. A nice change from our busy city life. The house was well equipped with everything we needed throughout our stay. If we return to Paso, we will definitely stay at Linda's home again.

    Laura2017-08-20T00:00:00Z
  • I would stay here again! We had 4 young kids in our group and Linda's place was perfect. Plenty of room to run around and no worries about zooming cars since its out in the countryside. The views from the house were beautiful - wineries during the day and stars in the evening. The pool was perfect for the hot summer day. Beds were comfortable and the house was clean. Linda was a great host. Very communicative. She even brought us a portable crib for our little one.

Please know upfront: sorry, no WiFi, and no A/C, we open the windows at night and close them during the day. Space heaters in room, but no central heating. Kindly read the entire listing and the House Rules before sending me questions. Thanks, and have a wonderful trip! And to all the guests (all great!) who have stayed here--I hope your great voyages continue. Bill
Custom wood home with a porch on 2 stories. All bedrooms open on to the wood balcony. The property is rolling hills, and is an old almond orchard. It's peaceful and quiet here. Double bed. Please note: This is an older house in a rural setting. It can be hot, dusty, and dry, and we can have spiders, skunks, mice, or deer. If you can't stand heat or dust, or have allergies--don't come! I won't refund your money and neither one of us will be happy. Please note: This is an older house in a rural setting. It can be hot, dusty, and dry, and we can have spiders, skunks, mice, or deer. This is a quiet dead end road with a new vineyard across the road. The house is located in the middle of a roughly 20 acre property so it quiet.
  • After three stays here it should be clear that I love the place. Staying with Bill has been a highlight of several trips. A gorgeous, peaceful location and a welcoming and comfortable house. Very close to Paso wine country and lots to do nearby.

  • My friend and I were in a mad panic to leave L.A. We had no clue where we would be staying for the night. Luckily, we found Bill. Not only was the place amazing. The host was friendly and extremely welcoming. This is a night we won't soon forget, highly recommended.

  • Even though we did not meet william, we enjoyed our stay in the pink bedroom. It was clean and comfortable. Communication was a bit hard since we had no internet and at first did not know where he was, but everything was indicated clearly with signs. When we woke up he had already left which was unfortunate. Also, we also did not have any water in our bathroom but there was in the kitchen.

    Mabel2016-08-27T00:00:00Z
  • + the house location/accessibility was not so bad as it seemed in the announcement and the images. In fact, there's good road pretty much all the way until the house; + rooms were ok, nothing to complain + William is a nice guy, and all his advises were very useful, in terms of what to do in the surroundings - I believe room doors don't lock. Could lock. Overall, it was as good as it promised (is not an Hilton hotel, but you are not paying for that), and William is very nice, so I totally recommend this.

    Pedro2016-08-21T00:00:00Z
  • William and his wife were there to greet us upon arrival. They were very helpful with tips on what to do in the area. The atmosphere was very relaxed, warm and homey. William told us a bit more about the history of the house and it was very interesting. The room and adjacent bathroom were very agreeable, super clean, and the bed very comfortable.

    Sarah2016-07-09T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful house and beautiful surrounding in a very quiet neighborhood. Bill is a pleasant host with so many fun stories and lots of helpful tips for what to do and where to eat in the neighborhood. The pink bedroom was pretty and spacious and quite clean. It was fun staying with Bill and we had a good time talking to him and his guests from England.

    Lisanne2016-07-19T00:00:00Z
  • William is a good and accessible host who is interested in what you are up to. He provided complimentary brochures and maps of the area, a service seldom encountered with airbnb. The location may be a little remote, but the room has a much nicer atmosphere than any average motel can get. It is bright, quite large, nicely decorated and very quiet. The private bathroom with shower was clean. The water is from the premises' own well and tasted excellent. There was no TV or Wi-Fi Internet. If you are addicted to it, you have to bring your own 3G device or drive eight miles to the next town for free Wi-Fi.

    Thomas2013-06-12T00:00:00Z
  • Bill has a great house amongst gorgeous vineyards as well as being close to a lot of local hikes and attractions. The room was lovely and spacious with a nice and clean ensuite. Bill was able to give us lots of information on what to do in the area, even going to the trouble of making a map for us! Thanks Bil, and best wishes for the future!

  • If you're planning a visit i would definitely recommend this place. It's quiet and scenic, the views are breath-taking and the houses themselves are just stunning. A beautiful pool and deck area overlooking the vineyards. Linda was a sweetheart and gave us gifts upon a arrival that were delicious. She was communicative and we chatted frequently about things related to house or the area in general. It's a bit out of the way, BUT when you wake up and go outside and there is nothing but nature and you. You will understand why this place is perfect.

    Saepate2017-09-10T00:00:00Z
  • Linda's place is exactly as describe, pictures do not do it justices. Both her homes has everything you could possibly need for a weekend getaway in wine country. Check in and out process could not be any easier and was very easy to communicate with Linda. I highly recommend this location!

  • This is a wonderful house at a wonderful location. Linda is very helpful, communicates very well and very accommodating.

  • Linda's property is perfect if you're looking to get away and do some wine/beer tasting. It's secluded and spacious, but still close enough to Templeton and paso that it's easy to get any groceries/supplies. Kula vineyards are almost next door and will bring tastings to the house, which was one of the highlight of the trip for us. Overall a great place to spend a weekend.

    Alex2017-12-03T00:00:00Z
  • When you arrive at Linda's place you arrive at an impeccable house! This is by far the cleanest rental we have ever been in! She adds many nice touches like treats in the fridge and beautiful table settings, and the views are beautiful!

  • We visited this property with our extended family and enjoyed our entire experience. There was plenty of room for multiple people in both homes and lots of indoor and outdoor space for us to relax. The home was very clean and comfortable and the views were magnificent. We would come back!

    Lisa2017-08-06T00:00:00Z
  • The host was amazingly responsive and pleasant! The views are great from the property. The two houses (which each have three bedrooms) were able to accommodate my big extended family. The outdoor space was great for a big BBQ meal.

The views were breathtaking, and the area super quiet and secluded. Brian and Crystal were very helpful and welcoming, making us feel at home. Thank you for great family memories!

  • Being a city girl, I was a little concerned while we were driving to the house. Once you get there though, it is such a beauty, gorgeous house in a beautiful setting.the house feels like a 5 star resort. Nothing to bother you once you are there. The house is fully stocked so you need everything to cook. Just bring the groceries. Many clean towels, the fire place is gorgeous at night, early in the morning. We hiked around the house, did horse back riding. That was the best experience, in nature with my girls. Kids and husbands did mountain biking. Loved it. It is close to cute wineries, like Stillwater and Cass. Good wine, nice vibe. Don’t take your Yoga mat , they have it for your morning yoga routine. I will definitely go again . Great hospitality from Brian and his wife.great overall experience

  • Kena and Brian were amazing hosts [both on the property and prior to the date]! The property was even more beautiful than in the pictures - our group couldnt believe how well put together everything was. We had a large group for a birthday event and the property felt even bigger than we had hoped. I HIGHLY recommend this place for anything from a weekend get away with friends to a family reunion to whatever you might want to share with good friends, beloved family and of course, great wine.

  • We came to spend 4 days in SLO. We decided to stay in Creston and enjoy the beauty of the views (and stars), let the kids play with the animals, enjoy the jacuzzi, and the amazing house. Brian was extremely helpful with both tips and showing us around. The house is beautiful designed, was perfectly packed and specifically the kitchen was a treat. We used the BBQ as well as the jacuzzi and had incredible experiences. We had to drive in order to get to SLO and and to the coast but it was completely worth it. Thank you for hosting us!

Welcome to the Barn! The scene is set for relaxation as you travel the rural roads through wine country. Scenic views of rolling hills of grapes vines as far as you can see, windmills turning in the wind, ranches with long horn cattle, goats, and a chicken or two. Home to over two hundred wineries, microbreweries, olive oil tastings, specialty shops, annual festivals, and fine dining, the Barn can be the beginning to all the Central Coast has to offer.
A space with character! The Barn is an actual barn converted to a residence. The exposed beams, re-purposed touches, and the openness of the barn is welcoming to guests.
This is the central coast, and the ocean is not far away offering scenic drives on Highway 1 with multiple beach towns along the way. There’s whale watching, Morro Bay Rock, hot springs, fresh fish, Hearst Castle and all the pleasures of beach life. For the more active in you, there is hiking, kayaking, surfing, golfing, miles of rural roads to explore by bike or car, Pismo Beach Dunes for off road adventures, and zip lining if you dare.
  • Everything about "The Barn" was Fantastic! From the structure, to the decor, to the huge room, to the hosts; we couldn't have hoped for a more pleasant experience. The large and spacious Sunset Suite was full of all the amenities of a world class hotel room and allowed us to be relaxed and comfortable. Glen was attentive and helpful to all our needs and questions about the area. We were in town for a wedding but wished we could stay longer and just hang out with our hosts on the big patio, sit around the fire pit and get to know each other better. If your're ever in Paso Robles, visit Glen and Susanne at The Barn, you'll want to stay just one more day... Dave & Vickie

  • Our experience was absolutely fantastic. It felt like coming home to family. The location is away from all the bustle and hustle, but yet centrally located. The room is the size of a small apartement with the amenities of a luxury hotel. From a welcome basket to a glass of champagne and Portwine at night, graciously offered by the hosts- absolutely fantastic. Susan and Glen even had a little Birthday cupcake for my boyfriend, whose birthday it was on the day of our arrival. Wonderful experience, defininilty will be back.

  • This was our 1st time using Airbnb and I have to (Website hidden by Airbnb) was wonderful! Glen and Susanne were gracious hosts that went above and beyond...from the personalized gift basket, peach bilinnis, quiche .. to the even sharing their garlic jelly :) We felt like we were old friends or family by the way they took care of us. Their home is spacious, clean and very comfortable. They have EVERYTHING you need to make your stay even more memorable. We enjoyed their outdoor patio (equipped with heaters and fire pit) as we watched the stars come out. The only bad part of our trip was that, we had to leave. We would have loved to stay longer to enjoy more of the property and their 2 adorable dogs. This is definitely a place I will be visiting again. ♡

  • Glen and Susanne were the most AMAZING hosts. Between staying up to greet us when we arrived at almost 3am, to making the perfect recommendations on where to eat and places to see, we could not have had a more perfect stay. There was a lot of confusion last minute with my plans, but Susanne made me feel at ease and they were able to accommodate the change in schedule. The Barn was beautifully redone and our room and bathroom were better than we hoped for. The pictures definitely don't do it justice. We truly enjoyed spending time by the fire pit, watching the moon rise and getting to know this amazing couple. The icing on the cake was their loving dogs. My best friend and I were very reluctant to leave and already have plans to come back next summer for a longer stay. p.s. Smokehouse and Brown Butter Cookie Company were the PERFECT recommendation. We truly enjoyed both!

    Jocelyn2016-07-26T00:00:00Z
  • A wonderful place to stay! Everything was great from the outside fireplace to the room to the bathroom. We had a fantastic stay. Glen and Susanne are incredible hosts and all around good people.

  • Staying at The Barn with Glen & Sue and their two lovely puppies was like a Home Away From Home! Glen & Sue are incredibly warm, welcoming, and fun hosts, and they offer the best Airbnb experience out there! Located in the midst of the vineyards of Paso Robles, their Barn is the perfect location for exploring and enjoying this delicious wine country. Both The Barn and its surroundings are stunning! My husand and I have been using Airbnb regularly over the past 3 years and this stay was by far our Number 1! We hope to be back soon.

The perfect destination for the discerning culinary traveler. Our B&B is famous for the magnificent three-course breakfast prepared daily by resident Le Cordon Bleu Chef. For the ultimate experience you can eat outdoors with gorgeous views of our estate vineyard, rolling hills, lush gardens -- surrounded by sounds of nature.
  • I can't say enough great things about this place!! It's a hidden treasure!! I booked it at the last minute and was beyond pleased when we arrived! The house is beautiful and the view is magical. Alma is a wonderful host and an extraordinary chef!! Trust me... You don't want to miss breakfast (served on the darling patio). Our room was super cute & clean and the bed was very comfortable!! My friend and I can't wait to go back!! Such a great experience.

  • Staying here has truly been a gem, and I hope to visit again soon. I spent the evening sipping local wine on a rocking bench on the back patio watching the sunset over rolling hills and vineyards as far as the eye can see. In the morning Alma had prepared a fabulous (does not begin to describe it) breakfast which I will not soon forget! I would highly recommend you book a stay here!

    misko2017-07-10T00:00:00Z
  • Alma and Neil have created an amazing bed and breakfast experience. Every corner of house and property are designed to make their guests want to linger and enjoy the beauty that surrounds them. The food alone is reason enough to visit. Do not skip breakfast! The rooms feel very private and the views are spectacular. The amenities provided are very indulgent and to say it's clean is an understatement. We are already planning our next trip!

  • My wife and I visited Paso Robles over a busy graduation weekend and found our way the the beautiful and pristine Sundance Bed and Breakfast. We met Alma, whom was very friendly, when we checked in. We were shown to our room which we found to be decorated nicely and very clean. The views of the properties vineyards were a nice addition. We were unable to attend the wine social hour due to an engagement we had committed to. We will definitely have to return to check this off the books. I'm a big fan of comfortable beds and pillows. I often find the majority of hotels fall short in this area. Alma and Nick did not disappoint in their choice of bedding. The attached bathroom was also very nice. The three course breakfast pushes the experience above any others I've had the pleasure of experiencing. The breakfast and coffee were amazing ! We will surely return soon!

  • This house is in the most picturesque and tranquil location. Everything inside is brand new, very clean, and honestly it even better then described. I came for a weekend with my college girlfriends. We meet up every year for a long weekend since we all live on different coasts. This was the perfect spot to relax from our busy lives. We visited a few nearby wineries and had some delicious meals. The house is walkable to several vineyards and you are within driving distance of a few cute towns with good restaurants. And it's fully equipped if you just want to stay in watch TV and enjoy a home cooked meal. We had everything we needed and more. And Linda was the perfect hostess. She even left us a delicious homemade chocolate cake in the fridge that we gobbled up on the first night when we arrived. This place is definitely worth staying at. Thanks Linda!

The guesthouse is part of a larger building on 10 private acres 8 miles from town. It is a spacious 800 square feet and comfortably furnished for relaxing. A full kitchen and private patio and yard allow you to feel at home. Visit the animals! A laundry room is available for an extra fee.
The space is unique because it is the original caretakers quarters on the ranch. The house is newly decorated and very private and quiet. The night sky is usually awesome with stars that are very visible. A private and fenced yard and patio are attractive and comfortable year round.
The neighborhood is a small grouping of 10 acre home sights which is surrounded by active vineyards which used to be horse ranches or cattle grazing land. The access road is short, but not paved, so please drive slowly.
  • A super comfortable place with several sleeping options, a very workable kitchen, and a decent location in proximity to wineries of the area. There's a grill and fire pit outside that don't seem to be listed in the amenities, but that were a wonderful bonus to the dinner we cooked outdoors. Light switches inside were a little confusing--we couldn't get the lights in the fan to turn on--but that didn't detract from our stay. Owners and their animals are all very sweet, definitely a worthwhile place to hang your hat.

  • Linda and Ron were incredibly friendly and welcoming. We couldn't have asked for a better weekend! • Absolutely not what we expected - far, far better than we expected!! Farm fresh eggs in the fridge, an absolutely amazing outdoor area with plenty of room to enjoy yourself, super comfortable beds and great wineries down the road! We adored coming back after a day of wine tasting to wait for the stars to come out! Such a clear sky, so much fun sitting with a glass of wine and watching shooting stars. My friends loved watching the mini horses pull the carts and being introduced to all the animals! Such a great getaway!

  • Although it is a bit of a drive from Highway 46, this cozy home provides a comfortable and restful place to sleep and prepare for the next day. The home is very clean and Linda and Ron have thought out all of the details that would make our stay comfortable, such as great coffee, ice cream in the refrigerator.

    Sara2017-09-10T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing place! Maybe my favorite Airbnb in California. Linda made us feel so welcome. The house was spacious, clean, incredibly well and thoughtfully stocked and it was magical to meet the animals. We would love to return. This place is heavenly.

  • We stayed here a few months ago and liked it so much we came back again a few months later. It's very peaceful and relaxing here. The inside of the house is cozy but clean and modern. The kitchen has any implement you need if you want to cook, and there are shelves with lots of games and books. The yard is nicely done too. Our dogs loved running around, since it's fenced in, and we loved sitting outside on the swing and making a fire in the fire pit at night. The Overlook Guesthouse was a great place to enjoy nature, but it's also not far from vineyards and downtown Paso Robles.

  • Judith is a gracious host and her home is a delightful escape high on a hill with a breathtaking view. Horses grazing and a really sweet gentle rescue dog, pastries & coffee or tea in the morning and an accomplished and knowledgeable host made my stay a very pleasant one.

    Mary2017-06-10T00:00:00Z
  • Judith is a great host and our dogs got along great, they were like two peas in a pod. Her place is a little off the beaten path in a very quite setting on the top of hill. She had coffee and pastries available for breakfast. We will have to give her a call if we every head back this way.

    Linda2017-07-30T00:00:00Z
  • Judith runs a beautiful ranch high on a hilltop with great views. She was extrememly understanding, accommodating, and provided our family with very much appreciated hospitality and stories.

  • I had a wonderful stay at Judith's place :) It was clean and quiet and I enjoyed it to the fullest :) Thank you for making my stay so pleasant!!!

    Melanie2016-06-13T00:00:00Z
  • Judi was a great host. Nice clean room to stay in with a comfortable bed. Nice hilltop location with a beautiful view. Very quiet. I would definitely stay here again.

  • Judith was a great host! From the minute we arrived I knew our stay would be comfortable. My girlfriend and I stayed with her for almost an entire month while our apartment was being renovated and we were so happy we did. Judith made sure there was coffee and pastries in the morning as well as some fruit she grows on her property. The place is very secluded and is a bit of a drive, but if you don't mind country living you'll love this place. A major upside is that the place is dog friendly and Judi loves dogs. I would definitely stay here again if I needed a place in the Atascadero/Paso Robles area.

  • Perched atop a countryside hill, nestled in wine country, amongst other farms and ranches, Judy's home was the perfect place for my 5 week stay while traveling for work. Off the beaten path, but with easy access to the nearby cities, it was a quiet retreat in a serene setting. The sunrise and sunset views were phenomenal, and the nighttime darkness allowed for excellent viewing of the stars. I found it refreshing to wake up everyday hearing roosters crow, see her horses out the back, and pass cows and sheep along the drive out. Once in a while, I would even spook 6-7 deer grazing out front. Judy is an avid pet lover like myself, which made my dog and I feel very comfortable and at home. The bedroom was spacious with plenty of closet space. The bathroom was private, clean, and updated yet still with what I suspect are many of the charming features from the era of the house (meant to ask, 50s?). Plenty of hot water in the mornings when I showered very early before work, which helped get me ready for my long days. Judy was very friendly and accommodating, and was a wealth of information and recommendations about the area.

  • The ranch house was nice and in the heart of wine country. Make sure to stop at grocery store in town before heading here as there is nothing near the home. There were complimentary snacks and water on arrival which was nice. Plenty of towels and linens were available as well.

  • Natt's place is clean and well-maintained. Our kids loved to play basketball and pet with dogs and horses there. We also loved the starry night. The sky was breathtaking. Natt is also very responsive. He helped us with the hairdryer issue at night upon our request. We will stay at Natt's place again if we visit Paso Robles.

Quiet, quaint and right on a vineyard, but everything inside is as modern as you could want and you’re only a couple minutes away from downtown Paso. I went with my family and all six of us were quite comfortable in the space. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting the area

  • This was an incredible place to stay for the group that I hosted! I would recommend it to anyone!! The positives: -BEAUTIFUL interior and exterior. The open floorplan allowed for the entire group to be in one area but the overall size allowed people to get away. -The kitchen is beautiful and perfect for hosting. Viking appliances were a great touch. -Backyard which allowed for outdoor time and a beautiful view on a small vineyard. -Privacy. Enough said. The negatives (although they are almost non-existent): -The temperature in Paso is a bit warm this time of year----of course this is of no fault to anyone. Its still a 5/5!!! -It is a bit of a drive if you are hoping to go to the beach (but again, most people renting this house would be aiming for wine country--- still a 5/5!) -No more negatives. Stay here if it's available!

  • We stayed in the Solitude 1 for 3 nights as we were travelling the coast -- and we enjoyed it thoroughly. The house is very spacious and very nicely built an maintained. Located on top of a hill, overseeing the vineyard belonging to the property and adjacent vineyards. Great views, spectacular sunsets. Lovely downtown Paso Robles is a good 10 minute drive, so you get the distance and proximity you would want. My kids first words as we entered the house: "Forget the rest of the trip, we will be staying here". Unfortunately, for them, the parents insisted to pursue the base plan :-) Can only recommend this place whole heartedly!

  • We had a wonderful stay at this home! It was so spacious and well taken care of. The grounds are also beautiful and perfect for early morning or late afternoon walks. The location was also perfect as we were 15 minutes from downtown Paso and close to many wineries. I highly recommend staying in this beautiful home!

    Andrea2017-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • The house exceeded our expectations! We loved how spacious the house was, perfect for entertaining. The only issue was the ice maker was not working and we had already done all our shopping in town. I called and a half hour later ice was brought over to the house. They also delivered firewood another item we did not purchase as we assumed the fireplace would be gas. The wine bottle opener was no place to be found but luckily we had one with us. Overall a wonderful experience in a lovely home! We all plan on going back again!

  • It's a great place to kick back and relax. The backyard's set up so you can enjoy the outdoors. We had kids in our party & they had a great time too! Debra and her family live in the house up front and they were made sure we were comfortable through out our stay! We will definitely stay here again!

    Sush2015-07-12T00:00:00Z
  • The setting was amazing! Sitting in the hot tub at night you could see thousands of stars. And best of all we were able to bring our two furry kids to enjoy the weekend! The house was well appointed with lovely bedding and the hostess even left us a bottle of wine and cheese when we arrived. The house was great for four people and six would have still been very comfortable. It was a great weekend, be sure to hit the hot springs spa, Tobin James and Doau winery. Totally different experiences but loads of fun.

  • Modular home in the country off of Creston Canyon. Home was clean and well kept. Master bedroom is roomy but 2 other bedrooms are very small. Perfect for 4 people, but crowded with any more guests than that. The outside area was beautiful and well manicured. Spent most of our time there out doors playing corn hole and visiting around the table. A unique and relaxing experience.

    Pam2014-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • This is a great 3 bedroom house in the middle of Paso Robles wine country. The owners of the property, who live in the front house, were very gracious and accommodating. The most stunning part of the house was the backyard area, which was beautifully kept and had outside eating areas and a jacuzzi. We ate outside under the clear black sky and stars every night. Really great memories.

  • Great rental only 15 min from Paso City center. The house is either new or recently remodeled. Very clean and private. Kitchen is well appointed and comfy living room furniture. Great back yard with a real country feel. Debra was very accessible anytime we needed to speak with her. We would definitely stay here again!

    Mike2018-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • Debra was a wonderful host! The house was clean, the beds were very comfortable and the location was convenient to many of the Paso Robles vineyards for wine tasting. The beautifully landscaped yard provided the perfect atmosphere for relaxing, talking and playing games. We enjoyed it so much that we preferred cooking steaks on the grill rather than going out to a restaurant. The house was stocked with all of the amenities that you would need for a weekend away. It was the perfect place for our family reunion!

    Bonnie2014-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • The house is very nice with a beautiful view and lovely grounds. Debra was a great host and gave us our space while still accommodating us. Everything was in great condition and she even left us with a bottle of wine upon arrival. So sweet. We would return to this home again.

  • Nice and quaint. Far removed from the hustle and bustle of the town. I could see all of the stars at night which was unbelievable.

  • We stayed at Laurie's for two weeks after relocating to the area and while we waited to move into our house. It was very clean, had a full kitchen and a nice deck to enjoy the evenings. The bed is also very comfortable!

    Harper2017-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • We visited the first week of Aug 2017. The outside temp was in the high 90's low 100's however the unit was never hot. The A/C and ceiling fans did a great job at keeping everything cool. I was also very impressed with how clean the place was. Everything we needed was there, even a BBQ and all the BBQ equipment you need. The very best part was the deck and the view. We would sit on the deck for hours (drinking local wine) an enjoying the stunning view and the sounds of nature. We saw deer, bunny's, the biggest bird I have ever seen (after a quick (Hidden by Airbnb) search I am 99% sure it was a turkey vulture.) As for the stars that was mentioned in another comment. We were there during a full moon, and did not get to see all of the stars. However, what we did see was amazing. As you can tell from my raving, I would recommend this place and hope to go back soon.

    Beth2017-08-06T00:00:00Z
  • Great place! Everything we needed and then some... never stayed in a place that had really EVERYTHING we could possible need... Thank you ;) Super clean, great mattress, nice washer and dryer, and in the middle of nowhere, so star gazing was amazing at night, so cool!! Where the property was there was never a moon around, so it was super dark and amazing for looking at the stars... what a view !! Just wonderful all around, also nice that they had all those lights with sensors around the deck to the parking, etc... only thing missing if any was a dishwasher. But realistically was not needed... Thank you again for a great stay and such a wonderful value, because even thou you feel that you are in the middle of nowhere, you are still 10-15 mins for town ;)

    T2017-07-30T00:00:00Z
  • Laurie s place is quaint. I posted pictures of the retreat and location on (Hidden by Airbnb) and had friends wanting contact information to book their own trip. We would definitely stay there again. It was beautifully located by many wineries. My only advise is to grocery shop before arriving. There isn't much close by to shop after arriving.
