Welcome to our tiny home in the heart of the Adirondacks, outdoor lover's paradise! The cabin is within walking distance of downtown and the town beach and it’s just a short drive to the area's best venues. You’ll love this cozy place because of the full kitchen, the comfy bed, the many amenities and the beautiful interior. Our place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and families with up to 2 kids.
At just under 500 square feet, this newly constructed Adirondack White Pines cabin is surprisingly roomy. The living space includes a kitchen, dining area, living room, office/library, bedroom and bathroom. It can accommodate up to 4 people comfortably. There's a washer and dryer to handle all that well-used outdoor clothing and a fully equipped kitchen for nights when you just want to hang out at home. Outside, there's a cozy fire pit, a charcoal grill and plenty of parking.
There's so much to do in the area we just can't list it all here! There's a helpful guide in the cabin that'll give you the scoop on some of the best local attractions and eateries. We also provide a number of the locally produced publications that list even more venues and events. With the fast wifi in the cabin, you can search the Internet for local happenings or check out our FcBk page - Lone Star Cabin. There you'll find links to many fun things to do and resources to find more.
  • Cozy and beautiful cabin. Calli even left toys for our kids, and we enjoyed the fire pit outside.

  • This cabin made our trip amazing. At the end of each day, it was the perfect place to unwind. We were made welcome by calling from the minute we got there when she showed us around the place and she even baked us a loaf of banana bread. The fire pit was an excellent place to relax at night. The cabin provided a true alpine experience and calling was helpful in providing ideas for activities to do while we were there. This was truly a wonderful place to stay.

  • Came up to Saranac Lake for a fishing/kayaking/hiking trip for two, and we couldn't have asked for a nicer place to stay. This cabin was perfect to come back to after a day on the lakes and the trails: clean and bright, and stocked with some homemade banana bread, fresh fruit, and milk from a local creamery. Calli is extremely kind and has amazing attention to detail. She also gave great suggestions for things to see and do around town when we checked in, many of them within walking distance from the cabin. The Adirondacks are an inspiring place to be, and this cabin truly compliments that!

    Nate2018-05-05T00:00:00Z
  • Staying at Calli's cabin is a special treat. The place is immaculate and Calli is wonderful to work with. She is a gracious hostess and has every detail covered for a relaxing visit.

  • This is my second stay with Calli, it's really a wonderful cabin in the ideal location in Saranac Lake. The cabin itself is the perfect size for one or two people and it never feels small. Everything you need is a short walk or bike ride away and you are so close to all of the lakes and mountains you could want. I consider Saranac Lake a second home, I have spent a lot of time there over the years and Calli's home is by far my favorite place - highly recommended - there is a reason why it is not more available!

    Joe2017-08-20T00:00:00Z
  • Really cozy, really clean, fairly new cabin. I met the craftsman who designed and built it and got a tour of his shop; he does great work (and that's coming from an arch. designer). There's a bit of neighborhood traffic going up the hill right behind the cabin, so privacy can be a bit of an issue, depending on the angle of curtains and blinds. You can also hear traffic on the 2-lane that is a couple hundred feet below the cabin, but the location is pretty convenient to the downtown area. The cabin comes well-stocked with just about everything you'd need, including baking supplies and spices, kindling, firewood, flashlights, and even laundry detergent left by some previous guest, and all that's in addition to the breakfast food Calli stocked for me. Very cozy and convenient vacation destination, and definitely recommended. The cabin looks even better in person than it does in the pictures.

  • This cabin was adorable! Very fitting to the area. Close drive to downtown Lake Placid. It was very clean and we especially loved the fire pit! Calli was excellent at communicating with us and was even generous enough to provide breakfast treats and stuff to build a fire! It was perfect for my fiancée and I and our toddler! Would highly recommend!!

  • The Lone Star is a lovely tiny home just out of the center of downtown Saranac Lake. It’s a new and lovely space that’s remote enough to be quite peaceful and quiet. The space is well laid out and very functional. Everything you need is in the home. The kitchen is nice as is the bedroom and bathroom. There’s even a small study. We were very comfortable staying there and would certainly consider staying there again during our frequent trips to the Adirondacks. Calli was a wonderful host who met us at the home, gave us the ins and outs of the space and also clued us in to her favorite local restaurants. Thanks for sharing with us! J & M

***If you have a well-behaved pet, send a request rather than instant book, and I will send a "special offer" that includes a modest $30 pet fee*** Picturesque, cozy cabin filled with artifacts and family heirlooms. Great space for entertaining and enjoying the outdoors. A fully equipped kitchen with all the cast iron that anyone would need to enjoy a chef inspired meal. A "rainy day room" with a 55 inch Roku TV, DVD Player, and an XBOX 1X capable of playing blue ray discs.
Relaxing lawn, with huge fire pit for bonfires. Adirondack chairs surround the fire with picnic table on stone patio. Perfect for barbeques.
  • This place was very special. We thoroughly enjoyed it and would come back again. If you're looking for luxury, this is not for you. But if you are looking for a beautiful setting on a peaceful lake with a magical cabin, then this is your place. Loons and hummingbirds - canoeing and bonfires - all of these add to the specialness of this place. A rustic cabin with a heart.

  • Great stay, cozy cabin!

    Mike2019-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • Although somewhat remote, Jason's place is a charming family cabin with some very cool decorations and sweet photos. The lake frontage was gorgeous, and sitting by a fire outside (started by Jason) as the sun set and the myriad stars came out was wonderful. Jason even stocked the refrigerator with some basic groceries and we found all the cookware and utensils we needed to cook a meal. The cabin is very well set up, and we had a great stay. We hope to get back for another visit!

    Abigail2018-09-30T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely stunning views of Boyd Pond, sunsets and around the corner from a sweet, very wide waterfall. The house is a thoughtfully decorated space with a raised deck off the back providing even more views of the pond. Jason and Paisley go above and beyond to make your stay feel like your own private lakehouse. Would definitely consider booking this house again sometime!

    Carl2018-09-23T00:00:00Z
  • Jason and Paisley’s cabin is way better than the pictures show. We had a lovely stay, and would love to return! Also, Jason met us at check-in, which was very considerate and helpful. Jason and Paisley also kept in good touch to make sure our trio was going well, which was much appreciated. Boyd Pond is absolutely gorgeous, and the cabin is the coziest place imaginable!

    Eleanor2018-12-02T00:00:00Z
  • If anyone wants to have a fun relaxing weekend on the lake book with Jason. The service was excellent and the hospitality was just as good. I will definitely book this place again. We had a ton of fun on the lake and with the fire! One of the best weekends of the summer by far.

    Matt2018-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • Nice rustic cabin. Host was very accommodating and thoughtful. Very relaxing and beautiful view with bonfire for thr night. Thank you Jason.

    Ayman2018-08-16T00:00:00Z
  • Jason AKA santa was a great host welcoming us with his santa clause hat. He was nice enough to leave an xmas present in the freezer for us, including some beautiful bath products. His cabin had a few old photos of him on the wall and older keepsakes from travellers abroad. It felt so homey and it was just perfect for our xmas holiday. The view couldn’t be beat overlooking the lake. It’s steep down to the cabin so I wouldn’t recommend it people in wheelchairs or those with large hip/knee issues but for anyone else it was more than manageable. It was extremely quiet there. Not a sound at night. Only a few other cabins were occupied while we were there. We hiked to a nearby waterfall one day and another day we went up to a rangers tower. I’d recommend bringing a gallon or two of spring water as we felt the tap water had a funny aftertaste. There’s a gas station within 15 min drive if you forgot something too. We got a pretty good LTE cell signal and the road was easy for our front wheel drive car. The place is well recommended and the hosts were great!

Experience the beautiful Adirondacks in a rustic, yet cozy cabin. Dragonfly and River Rat are located on 9 private acres situated along the bank of the Oswegatchie River. There are only 3 cabins on the property, rent the 2 and bring the whole family or just rent 1 and still feel like your secluded. We stay in the 3rd cabin for the season. We can provide you with a personal experience to include family dinners, movie nights under the stars, arts & crafts, and even guided fishing trips.
Fisherman's paradise, great getaway from life.
Get away from it all and sit back and relax. Great fishing spot and feel one with nature.
  • This place is amazing! The River Rat was beautiful, cozy, welcoming... the list goes on. Jill and Ray are incredible people. Willing to help, very accessible, and just really fun to hang out and have a drink with. Everything about this place met and exceeded our expectations. Thanks again Jill and Ray!!

    Zack2018-07-12T00:00:00Z
  • 2nd time staying here and we will return! Great place, Jillian and Ray are great hosts!

    Michael2018-09-30T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay here was much better than expected! It's the perfect place for couples, or families/friends to go and enjoy a relaxing stay near The Adirondacks. My girlfriend and I chose this Airbnb due to its more than reasonable price, as well as its close proximity to some very good hiking. Many excellent hiking trails are within a one or two hour drive from the location. The cabin was extremely cozy, and the kitchen was stocked with all the essentials. There were also enough beds for a family of four or five to easily stay there. On top of all that, the barbecue had plenty of propane, and there were some board games to play in case of a rainy day. The bathrooms were in a separate building close to the cabins. They were very clean, had plenty of hot water, and even had some toiletries for if you forget your own. The location of the cabins is phenomenal. They're down a rather long driveway, which keeps them away from the noise of the roads. They're also on a beautiful riverfront property. The hosts had a bunch of fun outdoor activities readily available for us, such as kayaks, an electric motorboat, games like horseshoes, and campfire pits. Although there is another cabin on the property for other Airbnb users, our cabin still felt very secluded. The cabins are separate enough that privacy was easily maintained, but they're also close enough that you could hang out and visit them when/if you ever want to. All in all, our stay at the RiverRat cabin was great! We did the trip for the nearby hiking, so we were mainly around during the mornings and evenings, however we could have easily spent 100% of our time at the cabin. We would definitely recommend booking with them!

  • A perfect little getaway place for a relaxing few days on the river.

    Devin2018-06-20T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay was great, after reading other reviews we had high expectations, but the River Rat surpassed them. Jillian and Ray were great hosts, they thought of every detail. As we were arriving it was going to be a cold next few days and they had just installed a propane heater that really kept the cabin toasty. I wasn’t sure what would be provided but there were pots/pans/silverware/cups/utensils for use along with a hot plate, coffee maker, toaster oven, some condiments in the fridge, and a propane grill on the porch. I had thought to bring a sponge and soap for dishes but even that was provided for us, Jillian had told me that most people overpack and I can see why. Pretty much everything you would need for a functional kitchen was already there. They even left a dozen fresh eggs in the fridge and firewood for a campfire! The bath house was a short distance away, and convenient for washing dishes. Everything was sparkling clean, clean linens were on all the beds, and clean towels were in the bathhouse which had plenty of hot water. Even though another family was staying in the other cabin the second night we were there, it still felt completely private. The River Rat has a great view of the Oswegatchie river from the porch. It rained the whole second day we were there but the sound of the rain on the tin roof was very relaxing, and there were plenty of board games in the cabin, a tv which got a couple of channels, and some DVDs as well. The cabin is also a convenient distance from the Five Ponds Wilderness and some great hiking trails. We were camping with our six month old daughter, and the cabin was just perfect for our family! The only negative was that we couldn’t stay longer! We absolutely would recommend booking and we will be returning for sure.

    Marcel2018-09-11T00:00:00Z
  • The most comfortable , clean and serene gateway place to be at. A warm and welcoming couple Jillian and Ray along with their little pet Roxy add on to the comfort with their gestures. A must stay place.

    Shailendra2018-10-07T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely beautiful cabin with easy access to running water and bathhouse just steps away. Wish we had time to stay longer! Thank you!

    Colby2018-07-27T00:00:00Z
  • This is hands down THE place to be with your family to make some lasting memories. From the cute cabin where every need was thought of to a movie night under the stars, it's good old fashioned family fun! My kids loved the kayaks and paddle boats and just living in the water as much as they wanted while my fiance and I relaxed and read on the front porch overlooking the water. My kids declared it more fun than Darien Lake! We declare it a new tradition.

This cabin was built in 2016 and sits on a very secluded 120 acres in Northern NY State. 3/4 of a mile of the road is a seasonal road that is plowed by the owners. 4x4 vehicles are suggested during March and April. a good set of tires is always good It is fully insulated with cooking facilities and wood burning stove for heat. A big cooler with ice. There is a bedroom on the ground floor and a loft for extra sleeping This is a rustic camp with a composting toilet in an adjoining room.
This is a perfect spot for year round use as a solitary mediation retreat, winters in particular, or a space to enjoy the outdoors with limited access to people and the hustle and bustle of city life. 3 miles away is the owners farm house with shower facilities and a warm welcome if you need. We are pet friendly.
We are secluded with a reasonable sized town (Gouverneur) 7 miles away with a grocery store and restaurants. However this cabin is more suited for people who want to immerse themselves into the seclusion of the area. This is a great jumping off point to the 1000 Island region as well as Tupper Lake, Saranac Lake as well as Lake Placid and the High Peaks Region.
  • We had a wonderful stay at this cabin. It easily accommodated 4 people and our pups. We were there over NYE and the place was super cozy and easily stayed warm with the wood stove. We purchased eggs and meat from the farm and that was a special treat. The trails at state forests nearby are beautiful too. Thanks Chad and Jason!

  • Rustic cabin, perfect getaway for a cosy and quiet weekend!

    Ariane2018-12-24T00:00:00Z
  • Cabin was as described - a clean and very comfortable nature getaway. Didn't have any problems with the fireplace, as others have mentioned. Chad was especially welcoming and made the experience that much greater.

    Nick2019-02-03T00:00:00Z
  • This cabin is THE perfect get away! We met Chad at the farm and he brought us back to the cabin to show us everything and make sure we got back there okay (we had no problem). Although we only stayed for a night, everything we needed was in the cabin! The wood stove was more than enough to heat the whole cabin and keep us nice and toasty in freezing temperatures. I would highly recommend staying here if you're looking for a woodsy get away!

    Gianna2019-01-25T00:00:00Z
  • Jason and his brother Chad were very hospitable. The cabin was very cozy, yet very spacious. Located on their massive property, it's very secluded in the woods, but Chad and Jason made sure to be available to help at any hour of the day and night in case we needed help with it. Once the wood stove got burning the cabin was very cozy and we had a great time relaxing together in there for a few nights. Chad and Jason were very nice and let us say 'hi' to some of the animals they had on their organic farm (the cows were so cute). We loved being there, and by the end we were sad to be leaving. Thanks Jason and Chad!

    Victor2019-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin is beautiful, the woods are beautiful, the road is well maintained. The wood stove kept me warm even down to -20 at night and my dog and I had a great time roaming around the woods. There are even board games and puzzles provided. Can't wait to go back!

    Tobias2019-01-21T00:00:00Z
  • Honestly I couldn’t come up with a bad thing to say about this Airbnb even if I tried. The cabin is very thoughtfully stocked with basically everything you could need. The hosts were accessible, responsive, and friendly. They sell fresh eggs and meats (all of which were delicious) for prices better than grocery stores. We’re already talking about going back and we’ve only been home a couple hours. Run, don’t walk, to this place ASAP. You won’t regret it.

    Sarah2018-12-22T00:00:00Z
  • My boyfriend, doggy, and I had a wonderful time at your cabin. Everything was just as it was described, we had a better stay than we expected. The remoteness really offers a peaceful getaway from the city and it was just what we needed. While it was remote and we didn't see a single soul, Chad and Jason really made sure we were comfortable. Thank you so much for your hospitality.

Experience the unspoiled beauty of the north country while cottaging casual style on pristine Trout Lake. You can fish, swim, kayak, or just hang out on the extensive decks or screened-in porch. This three-bedroom cottage is perfect for relaxed lakeside living. And you really can hear the Loon's song.
As we move into fall, an even more profound peace and quiet descends on the lake. You can watch the leaves turn to their golds and crimsons and walk in pristine forests undisturbed by man or machine.
  • I will say that the lake is beautiful. But we were a bit disappointed with the place. Spider webs. Ants all over the sink and sponges. Had to get a spray. Old coffee and mold in coffee carafe. Frying pans, cookie sheet not clean. Had to wash all. Could not take a shower as there was NO pressure, no way it would rinse hair with a trickle. . Paneling coming down in hallway. Dryer did not shutoff with timer. He is aware of oven thermostat not working proper. No light blocking window dressings in bedrooms. Place gets really hot inside in the evening. There is wifi but no tv, brought one and a dvd player. Saving grace was the paddleboat, which we had to bail water out before use. Did not feel like bailing out rowboat so we didn't use it or the kayaks and canoe. The other save was the enclosed back deck. Peaceful. Sorry, Probably wouldn't rent again. But it's a great place for a bunch of guys for fishing!

    Susan2018-07-22T00:00:00Z
  • Typical summer camp, including the usual mismatched furnishings and dishes. It's a comfortable place, with a rowboat and kayaks for your use. There is no public boat launch on the small but pretty lake. Bring your own drinking water because the tap water isn't considered potable. If you need heat for a cool night there is an oil fired Monitor heater in the kitchen/living room and an electric heater in the master bedroom. Be sure to arrive in daylight, it's a bit tricky to find in the dark. Parking is limited to two vehicles.

  • Charles's place was exactly what we were looking for! We spent the majority of our time either on the water or overlooking it from the screened in porch. We all came home relaxed and rejuvenated and have already recommended it to friends and family.

    Bridget2018-06-25T00:00:00Z
  • We went on a short trip to celebrate my birthday. We were not disappointed. Trout Lake is beautiful. The camp is clean, spacious and well equipped. Beautiful view from the screened in porch. I highly recommend it. Charles our host was wonderful. Thank you.

  • Perfect Adirondack cabin. The view is amazing. It’s peaceful and relaxing. I only wish I had had the time to kayak during St Lawrence University commencement weekend. Thanks Charles!!

  • We had a great time at the cabin. The location and views were even better than we expected, and the place was very clean.

  • Charles's cottage is beautiful and the lake is gorgeous. We spent the majority of our time relaxing on the large wrap around porch enjoying the weather and the view of Trout Lake. I would highly recommend making use of the row boat or kayak, which are easily accessible from the attached dock. We did not have any issues and would recommend the cottage to friends and family.

Except for the flooring, the whole interior looks new and well kept and the industrial kitchen is a plus for groups that want to cook. That is good because the nearest good place to eat is 25 miles away. There is a pond to canoe or paddle half a mile away and absolutely no neighbors so you can pretty much do whatever you want.

  • Sam was awesome and very accommodating. One of the cleanest and nicest places I've stayed. Great value , very clean , huge place. You will need nothing or want nothing. Thanks again Sam. We will be back

  • Great place, we fished local lakes - great experience, plenty of space!

    Jason2018-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • Sam's cabin is gorgeous and cozy and on an incredible plot of land for winter wandering. It's perfect for larger groups, as the kitchen, dining table, and lounging areas accommodate many while remaining cozy.

    Rebecca2018-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • My family and I planned a holiday get-together at the Lodge. The property is amazing and almost everything is brand-new. The place is very clean and very comfortable. The layout is perfect for a group of people. The kitchen was great for preparing group meals. Sam was very responsive and available if needed. The weather was very cold so we didn't have an opportunity to explore the grounds much during our stay. That wasn't really a problem however because most of the time was spent indoors. I would definitely recommend this property for a group or family looking for a comfortable cabin.

  • The Lodge at Seveys was so much better than we expected. My group of 11 (with 2 kids) had plenty of space to spread out. The beds were extremely comfortable, the linens clean and pristine. The layout of the entire common area on the ground floor was interesting and inviting. It had nooks and crannies, and we tried them all out. There was another common room on the second floor but we never even used it. We were there in extremely cold weather so the provided house booties were a very welcome amenity as was the gas stove. The commercial kitchen was to die for. It was well stocked, well equipped and large enough to invite the entire group into the kitchen and inspired us to come up with interesting dishes. Cooking was definitely a tremendous fun at The Lodge. Sam was great with communication, was personable and warm, made sure that our stay was perfect and easily accessible. Ralph quickly came to our aid with jumper cables when one of our cars caved in to the sub-zero temps. Just know that there is no wifi in the Lodge. There is a signal booster so we tethered our devices to cellphones with hotspots. We made it work but it will drain your data plan. We'll definitely come again as we are eager to rent the snowmobiles, just maybe in slightly warmer temps. The Lodge at Seveys is perfect for extended families and friends or any large groups looking to enjoy nature and each other's company.

  • We had a great stay at "the Hideaway". The cabin is rustic but comfortable and well appointed. The private dock and water access are great - very clear water for swimming right off the dock! Private deck was a great place to spend the evenings. Hosts went above and beyond in their hospitality! We hope to visit again!

This is a seasonal cabin and will be open from Mar to Oct. This cabin was built in 2011 and sits on a hill overlooking the Oswegachie River. The river is very deep right here and is great for fishing ans swimming. This spot will give you exclusive access to the river and there are great supplemental spots for tents. There is also a picnic table and an area for BBQs. Perfect for a family who wants to camp as well as use the cabin.
This is a perfect spot for seasonal use, fishing, swimming or just exploring the 125 acres that the cabin sits on. There is an are for a BBQ and we sell our own raised beef, pork and chicken as well as eggs.

Enjoy a getaway in the Adirondack Park that offers 5 reservoirs to fish, 1000's of acres of state land for hunting, snowmobiling and four wheeler trails. There is no internet or cell service available. There is a wood stove as well as a monitor heater for guest use. The cottage is located across the road from Blake Lake with a boat launch approx. 5 miles down the road. The cottage also has a washer/dryer, dishwasher, stove and full size refrigerator. We supply pots/pans, dishes and linens.
Great area for hunting and fishing
The area is home to many camps on Blake Lake that are seasonal. If you visit during the summer months, there may be more people out and about walking. If you visit during the fall/winter months, it is pretty, quiet and peaceful.
  • Finen's Cottage was great! Kitchen was so well equipped i realized that my own at home is lacking a lot!! Bed was super comfortable, cottage was clean and we truly enjoyed ourselves. And we were lucky enough to be in the Adirondacks during peak leaf season, such a treat! Thanks Margaret!

    Elizabeth2017-10-08T00:00:00Z
  • Margaret’s house was perfect for our stay. We only wished we could have spent a few more days there. The house was clean, comfortable and felt like home. She even left a welcome basket with pancake mix and her family owned maple syrup product. We were very close to the water and could walk down to the boat launch. Margaret was very good in communicating and check in was very easy. I would definitely return to Margaret’s home.

    Debbie2018-05-20T00:00:00Z
  • Margaret and Jim were very kind and gracious hosts! The Cottage was immaculately clean and cozy and Margaret was nice enough to leave us some pancakes and homemade maple syrup (yum!) and a blackberry cobbler. They made sure we had everything we needed to have a nice vacation and even made sure our pets were happy too! The cottage is close to many fishing and canoeing areas so our group had lots of fun being on the water. I would recommend this cottage for a relaxing weekend in the Adirondacks.

    Heather2017-08-21T00:00:00Z
  • It is a comfortable home that offers peace and tranquility. The wood burning stove gave plenty of heat while the kitchen allows you to prepare a family meal if you wish. If you are looking to get away from it all for a few days, this is a great place to do that, while still enjoying the modern comforts of a home.

    Fred2017-09-04T00:00:00Z
  • Thank you for being a wonderful host. The cottage was spacious, charming and clean with a terrific kitchen and bathroom. Highly recommend!

  • The place was awesome. We hiked, biked and dined. We enjoyed wonderful burgers at Timber Lodge. We climbed Mt. Arab and hiked Stone Valley. Beautiful sights. Our dog enjoyed the outdoors and swimming in the lakes. It was very nice to be able to take our dog. She likes to hike and swim as well! We were very comfortable staying at Margaret’s.

  • This property is even more beautiful than the lovely photos. This off-grid cabin provides all the comforts, including a luxurious, antique clawfoot tub, a screened porch overlooking the river, a well-equipped kitchen (all the cooking tools you need are already here), a flickering flame for romantic evenings in front of the cast iron propane stove, and the most charming vintage gas cook stove. On top of all that, the location is blissfully quiet and private, with stunning views from every window. Sandy is a thougtful host who will ensure all your needs and comforts are attended to, and then she will leave you to breathe deeply of the peaceful green forest. Sandy also provides you with a detailed manual explaining the off-grid sytems and giving you tips on local sites and eats. I am ready to book my next visit right now.

Every need was thought of, and the personal attention to explain how everything worked in the cabin was awesome. We loved the hiking trails, the cabin was cozy and warm. Lana2018-10-17T00:00:00Z
  • Can't say enough good things about this place! Sandy is a down to earth, welcoming host with an eye for detail. The A-frame is cozy as can be with so many thoughtful little touches, and the natural setting offers all the peace and quiet you could ask for. Great trails along a beautiful river, a fire pit for relaxing, kayaks for some fun in the water. Our only regret is not having stayed longer.

    Shannon2018-10-08T00:00:00Z
  • This property is truly a charming experience! Sandy has put her charming touches in the decor and and thinking of everything from local information, things to do, wonderful places to dine, shop and explore! The property has beautiful trails among 80 acres of wooded trails and pristine river views. The cabin is cozy and only steps away from the water. Sandy and Lou are wonderful hosts and have put their souls and hard work unto the property. They are welcoming and accommodating. Their personalities add to making the stay wonderful. We will be back many times. Highly recommend!

  • Great place to stay. Location is great and interior is very nice. Mobile network signals are not so great (only At&t had weak coverage.. other networks not available) wifi seems to be very weak as well. Just need to note that restroom is outside the house. But if you are choosing a remote place, this is great. We had an amazing time on a snow day.

  • This is a quaint and cozy cabin on a dirt road about 10 minutes from Saranac Lake. It feels very private even though there are neighbors but you really don’t notice them. We didn’t need help from the host but I do believe they live right there and I am sure if we needed anything they would have helped as I did receive a message saying so. It is clean and linens, towels, pillows, toilet paper, toilet paper and cooking supplies and utensils are provided. We found it suitable for a small child and a good fit for a family of three. No plumbing but the outhouse is fine and lit nicely and the host provides water for dishes and such. We did have access to WiFi and so-so cell service but I am sure depends on provider. There are a selection of movies to watch. It stayed nice and warm for our winter stay and the electric fireplace was cute. Overall an affordable, convenient, cozy place to stay if you plan actives close to Saranac Lake or lake placid. Also nice that is dog friendly!

  • Ever been in a AirBnB and wished it was yours? This was we felt when we arrived at Kim's cabin. Man, it's just awesome. Fresh eggs in the fridge, plenty of water for the weekend, we just sat there, being in awe of the scene beauty. Each single element of decoration is simple yet sophisticated. The view on that infinite forest puts you in a meditative state while the tea water is boiling. will come back!

  • Amazing stay at the Kim cabin! It's an authentic cabin in the wood. Perfect for meditation, stress relief, and rest! My parents coming from France had no jetlag with our stay in the cabin.. Magical, I don't think so... ;) I recommend this stay, if you love nature and forest! Tim

  • We LOVED this cabin! It had everything we needed and more!!! I'd totally recommend this cabin.

  • My friends and I absolutely loved staying in Kimberly's cozy cabin in the woods. It truly felt like a home away from home. There were plenty of blankets, and pillows for us to cuddle up with to fight the chill, not to mention the cabin was already nicely heated. 10/10 would recommend this to anyone looking for a nice, quiet place to enjoy a little break from everyday life. I would love to visit again in the summer months. Thank you, Kimberly! :)

The Hobbit House is a perfect Adirondack getaway. A quaint and quiet cabin the woods with easy access to the village of Saranac Lake and Lake Placid.
We are down a dirt road, out of town. You feel remote and in the woods, yet only a few minutes drive to Saranac Lake and Lake Placid.
  • The hobbit house is so charming and cozy! It had everything I was looking for when searching for a place to stay for a fall getaway. Lindsay was easy to communicate with and offered up really lovely local suggestions for hikes and restaurants. The house was very cleanly and had everything we needed for the weekend.

    Darcie2018-10-15T00:00:00Z
  • ADORABLE HOBBIT HOUSE has a Rustic, homey feel with a good vibe. Kitchen fairly well equipped. No micro or toaster oven, though...had to use the oven for that. Upstairs loft bedroom bright and lovely with balcony with nicely closed screen door for nice breezes. Hardwood rustic floors are nice. 2nd bedroom small but high ceiling make it cute with little touches. Fireplace stove works well, adds to coziness. Loved old fashion sink and earth friendly cleaning products. Bathroom's freestanding tub was nice and large surface area on side of sink was nice. Only thing is you have to watch not to take too long of a hot shower or you'd have to wait 15 mins or more to take another and may have to wait to flush toilet again. But the only tricky part was the driveway because it is in front of a private driveway and if you have a full size truck it can be tricky to make sure you clear it. My family really enjoyed the solitude and quiet in this place. Wonderful memories made.

    Chris2018-06-19T00:00:00Z
  • Very charming place on wooded lot and street near town. Lindsay was very responsive and fast addressing the few minor problems we had.

    Yonatan2018-07-08T00:00:00Z
  • The Hobbit House is a perfect place for 2-4 people to stay and relax in a calm and quiet part of the woods. The kitchen is spacious and homey, and the living room is cozy, with a nice fireplace. The cabin has so much character and very nice decor, dishes, lights, bedding and furniture. The two (!) balconies are excellent for sitting outdoors and feeling the breeze and the sun. Upstairs you are truly up among the trees, as the house itself is on a hill. It is very close to Saranac Lake and also to Lake Placid for short day trips. Lindsay was very responsive to our needs and we had a great time. We highly recommend this place.

  • This cabin is perfect if you’re looking for a quiet experience to retreat from busy life and unwind. It was close enough to the town and local attractions to reach but far enough to relax at the end of the day. The cabin itself was clean and had everything needed including a full kitchen and nice scented soaps!

    Angelica2018-06-29T00:00:00Z

Tucked back in the woods of the Adirondacks, this private little authentic one room log cabin is not only charming and inviting, but a great little get away for a couple or small family, even two couples. Provided with all the basics you need, it is welcoming and cozy. A perfect getaway spot. 1 mile from snowmobile trails, linking Brantingham, Tug Hill, Stillwater & Old Forge . Hiking, waterfalls, horseback riding & fishing are available on the many lakes and rivers as well as state land.
Authentic log cabin, constructed in 1980 and newly remodeled in 2017, is updated with all the rustic charm you could ask for.
Located just outside of Lowville NY, provides shopping at local shops, grocery stores, gas stations and restaurants.
  • The coziest cabin around! Great location tucked back into the woods and close to trails for exploring. Loved the Christmas decorations, definitely made it feel warm and inviting. Bonnie was quick to respond to our questions and check in/out was extremely easy. Will visit again

    Michael2019-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • We loved Black Bear Lodge and would happily return! It was a cozy, perfectly appointed, modernized log cabin, set back from the road in a forest. Easy access to some of the most amazing snowmobile trails around. Bonnie was a superb host with instant responses to questions. Our visit was during -23 degree weather and the gas heater and wood fireplace provided supremely comfortable lodging. A+

    Liisa2018-01-06T00:00:00Z
  • Cute, cozy cabin perfect for a couple. Snowmobile trails very close to the cabin. The cabin was clean and warm. It's tucked back in the woods on a beautiful piece of property. We will definitely return!

  • A perfect little cabin, exactly as advertised, secluded, with everything we needed for our weekend snowshoe trip. Plenty of hot water and heat + working fireplace with plenty of wood and fully equipped kitchen. Bonnie was responsive and check in/out were a breeze. We’re likely to return again in the future.

    Katty2017-12-17T00:00:00Z
  • Can't say enough positives about this cabin. It's secluded, private, clean, cozy and just a welcoming environment. The cabin has everything a person could possibly need. The owners are attentive and quick to respond if needed. Our stay was wonderful. We spent our time snowmobiling and the location to the trails is superb. Right from the start we were talking about coming back in the summer to explore the area.

    Andrea2018-02-12T00:00:00Z
  • Great cabin in the woods. Cozy and well appointed. We cooked many meals and kitchen worked perfect. Main bed and futon bed were comfy and had plenty of blankets and pillows. Would definitely stay again.

    Chuck2018-09-23T00:00:00Z
  • Bonnie's place was extremely cozy, adorable decorated, and the perfect warm cabin to come home to at the end of a day spent skiing in -12 degree weather! We absolutely loved it (especially the fireplace). Bonnie was a lovely host, and even though a large storm caused the pipes in the cabin to freeze she was incredibly accommodating, letting us know in advance and providing ample water for us to use. Would recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a cozy mountain getaway.

A perfect retreat for up to four people with paddling, swimming, hiking, cycling and skiing right out the door. Our cabin is currently on the market. There is the possibility that it will need to be shown during your stay. Showings can only be between 10am and 5pm and only with 24 hours notice to you. If there is a showing during your stay we will refund you 10% of whatever our nightly rate is, not including any other fees, for each showing. A realtor or owner will be present during showing.
Enjoy our cabin, the "Loon's Nest", on Lake Clear, just 10 miles from Saranac Lake. Located on Rt. 30 in Lake Clear, there is easy access to lots of outdoor fun and adventure. Cabin has one bedroom and 1.5 baths. Full bath has a tub/shower combo, half-bath has a stacking washer/dryer. Bedroom has a Queen sized Select Comfort bed with memory foam top, a sliding glass door to a small deck with a view of the lake. Full size comfortable futon on enclosed porch can be closed off for privacy. Sofa in Living room folds out into a full sized bed. Kitchen is small, but well equipped, basic spices, condiments and all kitchen utensils provided. Gas Grill is on the deck. We have basic cable, a DVD player, MP3 player/radio and Wi-Fi. This is a fully insulated and centrally heated home, we lived here year round for three years while building our current home. There are books to browse and a large mounted map to help you plan your adventures and lots of brochures and guides with things to do and places to go. We are five minutes from the St. Regis Canoe area boat launch, Paul Smith's Adirondack interpretive Center with hiking trails when there is no snow, snowshoeing and skiing when there is snow, and activities 10 minutes away. It is 15 minutes to Saranac Lake, 30 to Lake Placid and 25 minutes to Tupper Lake. In the Winter the train tracks in front of the cabin turn into a snowmobile route when the snow is deep enough. It isn't very busy, and makes a great cross country ski and snowshoe route. There are backcountry ski trails nearby. The Paul Smith's VIC has groomed and skier-packed trails, and frequently has more snow than Mt. Van Hovenberg ski area. Whiteface Mountain and Titus Mountain are each about 45 minutes away. Whether it's relaxing and catching up on your reading, watching the beautiful lake, sunsets, and surrounding forests, exploring Saranac Lake, Tupper Lake, Lake Placid, Olympic venues and the High Peaks, antiquing, shopping, or just listening to the haunting call of the loons, this cabin is a great place to venture out from - or just stay put! Catch a play at the local Pendragon Theater, or events at the Lake Placid Center for the Arts. You'll find gift and craft shops, Farmer's markets, art galleries, antiques stores, plenty of restaurants and some of the best golf in the Northeast. This is not an isolated cabin, there are neighbors across the street, and it is right on Rt. 30. The speed limit is 40 MPH. The road is quiet in the evening and at night. It's not a busy road by suburban or city standards. In the Winter when the plow goes by (not late at night unless it is snowing) it does shake the house a bit! Our lake front is accessed by walking over railroad tracks, there are steps up to the tracks, and down to the lake front. The train tracks are not currently in use save for the occasional NYS DOT truck going by. We have no dock or mooring, nor is there anywhere to launch a boat that can't be hand carried. There is no public boat launch on our lake, which makes it pretty quiet. Boats are available for rent in Saranac Lake for use on the Saranac chain of lakes, which are close by if you'd like to be out on a boat with a motor, and it's a beautiful trip. We have good swimming at our site, but not a big beach. If you want the beach experience there is a nice one with lots of sand and sun at the other end of the lake, only a 2 mile drive or paddle. In the Winter we clear snow from the parking area, walkway and decks prior to your arrival. Once you are here you may need to shovel the walkway, and the parking spots where the plow deposits snow. Our neighbor will plow the driveway when your vehicle is gone. If there is a big storm while you are here we will come and help you dig out if needed. Linens and towels are provided.
The lake is the best thing about our neighborhood. Neighbors keep to themselves, most are year round residents. In the summer months a nearby rental cabin has their beach near ours, and you might meet their guests. You can walk down to the Lake Clear outlet and look for otters and fish from the bridge. In winter you can ski and snowshoe on the railroad tracks right out the door.
  • what a charming place, Diane and John were the perfect hosts. Their home was in a perfect location for hiking and paddling the lake. Had the water temp been a tad warmer , l would have gone for a swim---well l was there in early June, so l am not surprised-- The cottage had everything one would need for a weekend or like me, a full week. Being a dog owner, the pups loved having the freedom to run around in the fenced in yard with easy access to the water. Love watching the sun set each night.

    Victoria2015-06-14T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect place to stay in lake clear, very big, well equipped, beautiful view of the lake. John was extremely nice in explaining about the house and the area. it was more than comfortable for 3 adults. The Kayak was very nice, even though it only fits one person The furniture was old but cozy. Thank you for a great time!

    Shir2012-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • A great cabin and great, personable hosts who went above and beyond. The cabin is in a beautiful setting and furnished beyond expectations. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend or stay again.

    Deb2014-05-11T00:00:00Z
  • My wife and I spent the week of July 4th at the Loons Nest, and it was perfect! You can't beat the location, or the views. Even during a heat wave, it was still comfortable. My family grew up in the Adirondacks, and Diane and John's cabin will really give you a true ADK experience (you can't beat canoeing during sunset on the lake). It is centrally located to easily visit Saranac Lake, Tupper Lake, and Lake Placid (go to Donnelly's ice cream at least a couple times during your stay). The cabin was very clean and had all of the amenities we could have needed. The bed was very comfortable, and having an adjustable mattress was a nice touch. We will definitely be back!

    Dylan2018-07-05T00:00:00Z
  • Thank you Diane and John for a wonderful experience over the winter holidays. The cabin was clean, cozy and fully equipped. I would definitely come back in the future!

    Razvan2015-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • Diane and John were very communicative from the start, shared a ton of details about the cabin and the area, and offered many helpful suggestions for things to do/places to go. We didn't get to meet John, but it was nice to meet Diane briefly and get some additional helpful information in person. We experienced no problems whatsoever, and the cabin was perfect for our weekend trip. We especially loved the view, the comfortable, adjustable (firm or soft on each side) mattress, and the patios (though it was a little too chilly to sit outside until Sunday). If we'd had time/inclination to canoe or kayak, we had a great location to do so from their beach area. Watching mist sweep over the water during sunrise was magical. The near-peak fall colors across the lake (and all over) were absolutely stunning - this is by far my favorite time of year. The close proximity to Saranac Lake was great, and we also went to Lake Placid a couple of times. My only regret is that we couldn't stay the entire week! We would happily stay here again anytime.

    Lauren2015-10-05T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful visit at this lake-front cabin. We were met by our host, Diane, and given a tour of the property with plenty of helpful advice. The cabin was comfortable, the location was beautiful -- remote but not off the beaten path so that it was easy to get into town and to some fantastic mountain hikes. Our daughter and dog loved swimming in the lake. We enjoyed the peace and quiet. Thank you!

    Alisa2015-07-11T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed 4 nights at Diane and John‘s cottage. It‘s a wonderful place to enjoy the lake and relax. The kitchen and full bathroom are on the small side but everything is so clean and perfectly organized. Plenty of towels and the kitchen has all the utensils, dishes, pots and even condiments you need. Outside on the deck is a gas grill and in the yard a fire ring (they even provide fire wood). There is access to the lake for swimming and canoeing or rowing. The kayak wasn’t in use while we were there but we took the canoe out a few times onto the quiet lake for awesome paddling. Couldn‘t ask for more.... If we come back to the Adirondacks we will definitely stay there again!

  • We travelled from Australia to visit family and friend in the Winthrop/Brasher area. We were so impressed with this beautiful place. It had everything and I mean everything to make our stay feel like home. It was so warm and inviting. All my friends back home commented on our (Hidden by Airbnb) posts how beautiful it looked. We highly recommend this property and Sue the caretaker was lovely. Such a wonderful, homely and beautiful stay.

    Aaron2019-02-11T00:00:00Z
  • Outstanding hosts! Very considerate when my daughter got a bad stomach virus and we couldn't check out in time. Very supportive overall. Wonderful space - beautiful church that was cozy and warm during very cold days. Everything was easy and we loved the old church. We would definitely stay again.

RUSTC CABIN CAMPING located in a private wooded area. Indoor water hand pump no shower in winter months private Outhouse . Wood stove is for decoration only. There are chickens on Property so you may hear some clucking. Free eggs upon request. Perfect for a weekend getaway. NYS sales tax will be collected in addition to air bnb fees
  • The cabin felt secluded so the level of privacy was great but at the same time I didn't feel stranded in the middle of nowhere so this location offered the perfect balance. With only a few minutes drive from town, the access to stores, groceries, and restaurants was a breeze. The cabin itself has a ton of character which includes a water pump at the kitchen sink (although we opted to bring bottle waters to drink), an outhouse (disconnected bathroom about ~15 yards away), and clucking chickens next door. There are scenic drives almost everywhere, and the timing couldn't have been better as snow started falling just as we finished exploring the neighboring mountains. Cell phone service is spotty, but I didn't mind at all -- let's face it, I didn't drive all the way from NYC to play around on my phone. Highly recommended for those who don't want to miss out :)

You will love this peaceful two bedroom cabin on the pristine Upper Saranac Lake in the heart of the Adirondack Park. Enjoy the views of the lake, Panther Mountain, Chapel Island and Birch Island. The camp is 25 feet from the lake with 100 feet of shoreline. Spend time swimming, kayaking, canoeing, hiking, fishing and roasting marshmallows with your family at a campfire by the lake.
This two bedroom, one bath cabin on the east shore comfortably sleeps 4 people. The master bedroom has a king size bed and sink for washing up and two twins in the second bedroom. We provide two kayaks, and a canoe. Chapel Island is a 10 minute paddle away and holds non-denominational services on Sundays during the summer. Paddle over or drive to Indian Carry and catch the island shuttle. Ampersand Mountain and Panther Mountain hiking trails are only a 5 mile drive away. The Adirondack Wild Center for the kids is nearby in Tupper Lake. The Natural History Museum of the Adirondacks, the Olympic Village of Lake Placid, Paul Smiths College Visitors Interpretive Center, the Ausable River, and Whiteface Mountain are all close by. • We had a great week at Christopher's place on Saranac Lake! The cabin was comfortable and clean, kayaking was wonderful! The place is close to several mountains for hiking and the town of Lake Placid for some fun shopping!

    Cindy2018-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • Immaculately clean cabin virtually right on the water. Wonderful dock to fish from, deck to sit on and huge fire pit for those cool evenings. Only minutes from both Tupper Lake and Saranac Lake for shopping and eating out.

  • The setting of this rustic cabin is wonderful! The dock and boats were an added plus. Nothing like calling loons in the evening!

  • My family had a great week at this camp! We especially enjoyed kayaking on the lake. Highly recommend!

    Wade2018-06-18T00:00:00Z
  • This place was great. It's perfectly placed in the Adirondaks so that you're never too far from any of the things we had on our to do list (the Loj for hiking, Lake Placid, the wild center, etc) but far enough out that you feel like you have you're own private camp. It's well placed on Saranac so that you could probably spend your entire trip kayaking (that's if you can make it out of those fantastic chairs). Everything was just as described and Chris was great with keeping us updated. Couldn't recommend it more and have already put the camp on a few coworkers radar for next year. Looking forward to next season now that we've found 'our spot'. Thank you so much for sharing it with us!

    Michelle2017-09-23T00:00:00Z
  • We had enjoyed our stay so much that we decided to extend it and Chris was very responsive to our inquiries. This is a perfect place to relax and 'unplug' away from crowds with the convenience of a close-by town. The high quality kayaks are an awesome perk, and we only wish that weather would allow us to spend more time exploring the area lakes and rivers. Great location also for a quick access to easy and challenging day hikes.

    Kamila2017-10-07T00:00:00Z
  • What a view, and what a wonderful place to stay! Private and secluded, beautiful views, thoughtful and careful attention to each detail from booking to checking in, to all the amenities we needed. Wonderful stay, we thank you!!

Welcome to our cabin by Lake Colby in Saranac Lake. Our Adirondack White Pine cabin is a quaint 500 square feet set up to accommodate a small family on a budget (that’s us) or for a couple getting away. The village beach is located 200 yards away with access to Lake Colby Mt Pisgah is less than a 5 minute drive for snow skiing and tubing. We frequently walk into town using the all purpose trail to go to the library or to get a slice of pizza to enjoy sitting around lake flower.
Our custom built cabin includes everything you could need for your stay in the ADK’s. The cabin is close to town and within walking distance to the town beach but tucked away on a private lot.
The cabin is located at 13 Moir Road which is a small semi private road bordering Lake Colby. There is both seasonal and year round homes located on this quite street.

Fishermans paradise, great getaway from life.
Get away from it all and sit back and relax. Great fishing spot and feel one with nature.
  • Jill’s and Ray’s cabin was better than what I expected looks way better in person than in pictures. Everything was perfect. There is this pay it forward system going on which I think it’s brilliant. My husband and I left hamburgers, beer and s’mores sticks behind and the people before us left us a bunch of breakfast foods plus worms to fish. The pay it forward systems makes me feel like I’m part of a community which is nice. All their neighbors greeted us as they were passing by the lake which was really welcoming. The place is very welcoming and interactive there is even movie night. Everything was super clean especially the bathroom. Hospitality was awesome any Airbnb my husband and I go to we like to keep to ourselves and not really interact with the host but this was by far the most interaction we had with the host and we had a good time. Jill and Ray are really easy going and share a lot of good insight. The river is warm to swim in once you get in. At night it gets a little chilly but with the fire right outside the cabin and the portable heater we stayed warm. Overall I would go back in a heart beat probably next summer! Thank you Jill and Ray.

    Andrea2018-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • LOVED staying here!!!! So peaceful! I wish we had had more time to spend there.

    Amy2018-07-04T00:00:00Z
  • I am so glad we came across Jill and Ray's little slice of paradise! It was such a perfect place for us to stay on our way to the Adirondacks. They have put so much care and thought into their property and cabins. We only wish we were able to stay longer! It was relaxing, comfortable and quiet at night. The location and access to the water was just beautiful. We enjoyed a campfire right outside our cabin and all the lawn games. Thank you for your hospitality!

    Leah2018-08-31T00:00:00Z
  • Dragonfly cabin was a perfect quiet retreat. The location is serene & beautiful, and the cabin is sparkling clean and adorable. We went during a heatwave, and Jillian & Ray provided an air conditioner and fans to make the heat bearable. We loved the screened in porch & grill provided. The local eggs left for us in the fridge were delicious. The river was excellent for an afternoon swim (or paddle), and made for a beautiful sunset at night. We're rockhounds, and the location is great for some St. Lawrence county exploring, but we hear the fishing is excellent too! Great spot & friendly hosts!

    Amy2018-07-03T00:00:00Z
  • Very relaxing place if your looking for a getaway! Would go again...

    Chelsea2018-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • Highly recommend! Everything you would thought you’d need to bring they had. It’s a beautiful area!

    Keshia2018-10-18T00:00:00Z
  • Jillian and Ray were considerate, friendly, and helpful hosts. Their riverfront cabin was quiet, clean, and comfy— all in all, the perfect place for us to start off our Adirondack adventure. We hope to come back someday!

    Em2018-07-01T00:00:00Z
  • Glamping at its finest! We absolutely loved our stay at the Dragonfly cabin. Jill, Ray & Roxy are excellent hosts and salt-of-the-earth good folks. It was chilly this late in the season, but the propane heater helped and we came prepared by bringing an electric blanket. The bathrooms are close by and liked that each cabin had a private bath. So many nice touches and charmingly decorated. We hope to be back next summer!

After growing up in the Adirondacks, within a few mile of this property, it was nice to go home and be close to family. Great job remodeling the building.

  • Diane's place is gorgeous and perfect for an upstate getaway. I spent the weekend visiting from NYC to ski at White Face, which is quick drive from her home, and we enjoyed eating out in the Saranac Lake area nearby. Diane had local suggestions provided, was communicative, clean, and even left a chilled bottle of wine in the fridge to unwind after a day of traveling. Highly recommend!

  • Great cabin to get away and enjoy family and nature. We enjoyed relaxing by the fire after a day of hiking. Mike was a great host and the cabin had everything we needed during our stay. I highly recommend and you are not far from Lake Saranac and hiking opportunities.

    Michele2018-05-16T00:00:00Z
  • Had another wonderful stay in the Adirondacks at Timberock! The perfect blend of rustic with amenities. Clean and well stocked. Hope to stay again.

    Connie2018-08-06T00:00:00Z
  • Camp Timberock is perfectly situated near Fish Creek Pond/Saranac Lake. The cabin has been thoughtfully updated and is comfortable and cozy. Rich in amenities, this is the place for relaxing in the forest, sunning at the beach, swimming in the pond, going for a paddle, fishing, enjoying a campfire, or hiking one of the many peaks in the Adirondacks Park. In addition, Mike provided several suggestions and recommendations for activities, restaurants, and outdoor pursuits. We’ll definitely be back!

    Steven And Kristina2018-06-28T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed recently over the 4th and the camp was perfect! It’s a very short walk to the water and the location being right at the entrance to the Upper Saranac was great as I had a boat. Mike was an amazing host, I would recommend staying here to anyone.

    Tyler2018-07-04T00:00:00Z
  • This was very cozy, the fire pit and screened in porch was great! The walk to the lake was less than 5 minutes. The kids loved the lake at the beach!

    Shannon2017-07-31T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful time at Mikes cabin. It had everything we needed and more. It was quiet and peaceful. We enjoyed cozying at the cabin and adventuring outside in between storms. We hiked and canoed and explored nearby towns. The cabin was a home away from home and we can’t wait to return. We were there right at the turn of the season so we’re able to do some jaw dropping leaf-peeping!

    Danielle2018-10-02T00:00:00Z
  • Timberock is a cozy cabin nestled between popular tourist attractions, like Whiteface, Tupper Lake, Lake Placid, and The Wild Center. It was a 5 minute walk to a small beach with a dock. We brought our own canoe, but with their vessel to use as well we were able to bring the entire family to the multiple islands dotted among Upper Saranac Lake through the Fish Creek Ponds channels. The neighborhood is quiet, and the house is very clean and well-stocked. The house itself is under constant shade because of the coniferous forest, which can be considered either a cozy refuge for some, or a bit stifling depending on what you like. Mike was quick to respond to questions and offered great advice on local attractions and hikes.

    Allison2018-08-16T00:00:00Z
  • Timberock is a gem tucked away in the woods! We had a great stay and the cabin is fantastic. We really loved the rustic touches that are so well balanced with the thoughtful creature comforts. Clean, cozy and comfortable. We would love to come back when we have more time to relax, unwind and explore!

  • Wonderful, rustic oasis for a back-to-the-basics getaway close to Saranac Lake. We loved it and the hosts couldn't have been more hospitable, even bringing us a stick of butter so we could make breakfast. Many thanks!

  • Job and Ria's cabin was one in a million- pictures couldn't do justice for the wildly organic, cozy cabin that Cobb Hill was. We felt secluded, yet so close to Saranac Lake Placid. Ria and her loyal pup, Otis, showed us to our cabin and made us feel right at home. The care and detail that was put into the cabin was greatly appreciated. The outdoor shower was a highlight, among the perfect fire pit and classics DVD collection. We hope to visit again soon!

    Brittany2017-09-04T00:00:00Z
  • Great weekend in this adorable, secluded cabin in the Adirondacks. Loved the outdoor shower and vintage decor!

    Sarah2017-07-02T00:00:00Z
  • Super basic cabin, as described. Beautiful location. Very quiet. The outdoor shower was great.

    Melody2017-07-31T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed our stay in the area, perfect location for what we wanted. Our puppies were able to roam freely and we enjoyed some DVD's (grabbed a Redbox from Tops). I have AT&T and had service; couldn't connect to their WIFI. We enjoyed the outdoor shower; nice way to wake up. Lots of deadfall, could use a little sprucing up. Just an FYI, after service fees and taxes (Airbnb & NYS) it came to approx. $112 per night. Overall, would recommend.

    Katrina2017-09-17T00:00:00Z
  • Unfortunately didn't get to stay in the cabin but got to work with Jon. He was very quick in working with me and very easy to communicate with.

    Matt2016-07-17T00:00:00Z
  • Property is quiet, in a wooded area and away from the main drag of Lake Flower and I could hear the Common Loons calling at night. There is kayak/boat access to Lake Kiwassa about 0.7 miles away with a few parking spots along the road. There are many restaurants a short drive away or you can cook at the cabin (I used the gas grill). One bonus is a fantastic ice cream place on the shore of Lake Flower. Property is clean and I enjoyed the decor - very rustic and comfortable with a lot of collectibles decorating the place. Every time I looked around I saw something new from the past, even a kaleidoscope like the ones we had as kids. Ria was very welcoming and took time to sit for a few minutes to talk for a few minutes upon my arrival after showing me to my cabin. There is a heater and also a window AC if needed. The bed is comfy and the outdoor shower is pretty neat. The place had everything I needed. Communication prior to my arrival was A+. Thanks for everything!

    Brenda2016-07-05T00:00:00Z
