Cottage Point Vacation Rentals

Just booked in Cottage Point

Romantic, secluded, cabin for two in the bush with magnificent views over Pittwater. Inside is a queen size bed, en suite bathroom and kitchenette. Covered verandas on two sides plus a terrace with a day bed and fire place. This idyllic hideaway is a short trip by ferry or water taxi from Church Point.
This newly built, timber cabin is surrounded by bush with spectacular water views and yet only fifty minutes from Sydney CBD. You can only reach it by water and you are welcome to use our jetty for your own boat. The cabin is an ideal base for bushwalking, swimming, watching wildlife or just sitting on the deck, or in the hammock, doing nothing.
This is very beautiful and tranquil part of the western foreshore of Pittwater. surrounded by bush walks. Maps will be available. You can walk to a beach, or a lookout and beyond. There is a lot of wildlife around the cabin and often wallabies graze on the lawn and parrots, lorikeets, cockatoos and kookaburras abound. If you want to go out for lunch or dinner or just for a drink both the recently renovated pub The Newport and Royal Motor Yacht Club can be reached by a trip in the water taxi. The water taxi charge from our jetty to The Newport is $85 one way and from Church Point it is $65. Church Point has a cafe/restaurant which is a great place for lunch or dinner on the deck with live music on Sunday afternoons and you can get there on the ferry or a water taxi. We highly recommend the local Church Point Waterfront restaurant.
  • So nice, likes a painting! Nature, relax, perfect! I wanna go there again! Susan & john are good landlord, Gave us too much food, too sweet to us! Thanks you very much! And welcome to china! • Our stay with Rob & Susan was well above expectations. They are both amazing people and were so warm and welcoming into their property. The property is even more beautiful than described and although you are on their property the cabin is very private. Rob & Susan went above and beyond and made our long weekend one we will remember forever. You will not regret this stunning, tranquil slice of heaven. Thanks and and we look forward to staying again soon.

  • Our stay in Susan's cabin was fantastic. Susan was such a welcoming and helpful host who went above and beyond. The setting was just idyllic, we enjoyed meals on the balcony overlooking the bay (and having some feathery visitors for lunch - don't worry, there's bird seed provided too!), reading in the hammock, walks through the forest and toasting marshmallows over the camp fire. The provided breakfast was delicious. Just a short trip from Sydney, but you feel so far away! Topped off the weekend with a pizza and beer while listening to live music at the Church Point Waterfront cafe. Perfect!

  • This little cabin is perfect for a romantic getaway less than an hour from Sydney! Perched on a hill in the most incredibly scenic spot, the view is stunning all hours of the day. The gorgeous cabin is even better than the photos and is well equipped for a couples retreat. Provided is fresh baked bread, home made marmalade, butter and yogurt! Susan and John were the most accommodating hosts helping us with our luggage and providing champagne on arrival! They even invited us to use their canoe- which we did twice, and laze on their jetty - the best seats in the house! We had a fabulous time here and will definitely be back! We could not recommend this spot more.

  • My friend Hollie and I had such an amazing time. From the moment we stepped off the ferry, Su made us feel like we were right at home. The Cabin was beautifully decorated and was fully equipped with everything you need. We had to pinch ourselves a few times, when staring out at the magnificent view. We utilised the wharf for most of our stay and felt like we were living in a European paradise. Su, Thank you for making a 'girls weekend away' so special. We'll definitely be back in a heart beat. Soph xx

  • My absolute favourite airbnb of all time. The cabin is an absolute gem and vista is only matched by the hospitality of John and Susan. From the moment I arrived until leaving I had the most perfect time. Best sleep I've had in years and I can honestly say I'm all my years travelling I've been to very few places this peaceful and tranquil. It is idyllic. My suggestion would be to pack light and not bring too much food as the continental breakfast is more than enough for breakfast and lunch: home baked seeded bread, homemade yoghurt, eggs, muesli, freshly squeezed orange juice and coffee and tea. Absolutely delicious! I would recommend this magical little place to anyone wanting to get away from the hustle and bustle and experience nature right at your doorstep (yes, I'm talking about you Mr wallaby!). I loved this place and can't wait to come back. Thanks so much for making me feel like family Susan and John. Be back soon xx

  • Fiona and her husband were nice and they were contactable. Although, We were expecting more from the property as we paid a lot per night. The spot is beautiful as a spot, however it's a bit tricky to get to the house. The house is not kids friendly. It was too cold and firewood wasn't provided. A few things were missing. Overall was alright but not amazing as we were expecting.

    Maria2017-06-12T00:00:00Z
  • Great to be by the water for a family Easter.

    Robert2017-04-19T00:00:00Z
  • Picture perfect location with plenty of room for 10. Foxtel, Wifi and PS3 were a nice bonus, not that you need them with the views and use of the tinny and kayaks. Communication from Marlon was excellent and flexible checkin and checkout were appreciated.

    Adam2013-08-05T00:00:00Z
  • We spent a really nice weekend in this beautiful house. Really relaxing to be in this national park! The view from this house is just amasing… Thanks Marlon

  • We came to Cottage Point for my Dad's 60th birthday with 2 families. Fiona's house is beautiful, and the setting next to the water is breathtaking. It's an extremely peaceful part of the world and an easy drive from Sydney. Fiona is a great host and was easy to communicate with. I would recommend the house to anyone.

    Ant2015-08-24T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay at Cottage Point! Thank you Fiona I stayed with a group of 8 people for a work retreat and the house was perfect, we enjoyed each of the different spaces especially the beautiful sunny deck looking out over the water. I couldn't recommend this house highly enough and I'm already planning a return trip. Fiona was very helpful and prompt with replies, and gave us useful information about the area.

Not many people around which is good the part!!
  • A very natural and stylish set up. The house has all the basic needs and Lovett bay has its magical charm. Fiona is very helpful with all the requests. The place wasn't ready at the check in time so we had to enjoy a btl of wine at the jetty while waiting but besides this small issue we had marvelous time.

  • Langley at Lovett Bay was a perfect weekend getaway. Such a beautiful setting. So quiet and secluded. We loved sitting on the jetty drinking wine watching the boys go by. The cottage has everything you need. The open fire was perfect at night. Fiona was fantastic. Prompt response and answered all our questions.

    Simon2015-08-17T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing place amazing neighbors an experience we will never forget! Fiona was always available and bee kind. Highly recommended.

    Elise2015-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful quiet and peaceful place to spend a few days! The cottage borders onto national park which meant there was plenty of wildlife. Cottage is beautiful with a fabulous fireplace. We spent a lot of time relaxing on the deck outside the cottage, as well as on the private jetty. The kayak was a lot of fun, and we also enjoyed the walk to the waterfall. Fiona was extremely helpful and gave us all the information we needed. The water taxi came within 5 minutes both times and was very quick. It was $31 dollars either way for two of us plus supplies. We would definitely stay again when looking for a peaceful retreat near Sydney that feels a lot further away :)

    Lesley2016-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • Stunning location to enjoy Pittwater, a bush setting, and the abundance of native fauna. Perfect for an escape from the everyday.

    Patrick2016-11-02T00:00:00Z
  • The place is as beautiful as pictured, and Fiona was extremely helpful in getting back to me quickly and answering any questions I had. We hope to come back again for a longer stay... :)

    Oded2016-07-10T00:00:00Z
  • This property was grossly misrepresented! Totally overpriced and inconvenient. The ad doesn't disclose that the only way to get to this property is by water taxi, at an additional $70-80/day. So unless you're going to camp out here, that's an additional daily cost. There are no amenities. Worn out furniture. Bugs in the shower. 10" lizard in the sink. We were treated to a used bar of soap in the shower. DON'T DO IT!!

    Brad H2016-11-29T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage is stunning and completely secluded. We only stayed one night and it felt like a wonderful break. We had everything we needed and use of a kayak which was great for exploring the bay. Fiona was super quick and very helpful addressing our many questions. There are quite a lot of steep stairs to get to the cottage which may be difficult for some but worth it once you get there. We'd definitely go back.

  • Finally having the "full Airbnb experience". With 9 of my friends we decided to celebrate a Christmas in July and the experience has been amazing! The host: Joanne is a wonderful host that will ensure you have the best experience ever. She is lovely, very organised and very easy to reach. The house: the paradise! Where to start? Fully équiped, fire place, renovated kitchen with everything you need to cook, comfortable beds, towel provided, organic shampoo and conditioner, scenic view on the water, the deck is amazing. Activities: you can't get board! Just relax and wake up for the sunrise. This house is also perfect to stay with children. There is so much you can do: swim, kayak+child kayak+standing surf board (provided by Joanne), hike in the national park, BBQ, yoga (mats and block provided as well), reading, fishing and star gazing (do not miss out on this one!)... I highly recommend you this house!

  • The host Joanne was lovely to deal with and she made sure our stay was going to be enjoyable. The place was beautiful and in a great location right on the water. The children loved the fishing from the pontoon and bushwalking. As it was winter the new fireplace was great addition to the house. Will hopefully return again soon.

  • Superb waterfront getaway! My family of five and I just spent 3 nights here with another family and absolutely loved it! The house is simply ideal - beautifully presented and comfortable and spacious, even for 10 people. It was drenched in sun from dawn until mid afternoon and nicely shaded from the late afternoon sun. The location is magic - peaceful and remote yet close to groceries and great coffee if needed. It's a lovely balance of serenity and convenience. We also liked the outlook to the surrounding moored boats, and it was particularly nice having level access between the house and the waterfront jetty, as opposed to a steep block. This was one of the best long weekends we've spent anywhere! We'll be back. (Thanks so much Jo!).

    Peter2017-01-24T00:00:00Z
  • Gorgeous house. A wonderful way to unwind and yet so close to the city. We loved it.

    sarah2017-07-10T00:00:00Z
  • Thank you Joanne for a wonderful easter break in Pittwater. The house allowed all guests to relax and have fun by the water. The house was very well equipped with all necessary items being thought of in advance ! We were delighted by all the speical easter touches !! Thanks again !!

    Jane 2017-04-17T00:00:00Z
  • The house is absolutely stunning. The location is second none, and the water access only creates a tremendous feeling of exclusivity and seclusion. The views from the deck and almost every room in the house are wonderful, and watching the sunrise across the creek in the early morning is gorgeous. The house is very stylish and beautifully furnished and we absolutely adored our stay there. Of particular note were the good quality ben linen and the excellent dining service. There is a lovely bush walk behind the property with wildlife galore and yet more beautiful views, and we would certainly be happy to stay at this property again.

Imagine finding a place in Sydney, hidden away, with water views in the middle of the bush. With a unique vehicular ferry. Where you could have a day out fishing on the river, have a relaxing picnic, sit by the water, with a glass of wine and some delicious fish and chips, a restaurant for a great family occasion enjoying fresh seafood or even somewhere you could get married and have a wedding reception to remember for a life time. Well Berowra Waters Marina and penthouse can offer this and much more.
    .
  • Michael was a fantastic host - nothing was too much trouble. He was always available to answer my queries and make recommendations. The Penthouse couldn't be in a better location. Berowra Waters Marina is absolutely stunning. We made great use of the wrap around deck area and BBQ facilities. The large kitchen complete with wine fridge was brilliant for our big group. The apartment is well maintained and complete with all home comforts. Michael welcomed us with a bottle of wine and chocolates and also provided fresh towels and toiletries in each bedroom. Michael gave us a discount on rental boats which we took out on the river which was really enjoyable. There is a little cafe underneath the apartment which serves fish and chips etc and another Italian cafe (red canopy) a short walk away which did a fantastic breakfast. I would highly recommend staying here for anyone who wants to enjoy the beauty of Berowra Waters in a luxury apartment. The apartment itself would be great for families, couples or large groups. I am already looking into booking my next stay.... Thank you Michael - See you soon! Elaine

  • Amazing penthouse - even nicer than the photos lead you to believe. Michael couldn't have been more helpful. Highly recommend- we will be back!

    Louise2017-05-14T00:00:00Z
  • We had an excellent time here! This place was even nicer than we had expected just from looking at the photos and the water view was so tranquil and beautiful. Very spacious house, we had 10 people and felt that there was more than enough room for everyone. Michael gave some good instructions and it was super easy to find the place, he also greeted us a bottle of wine upon arrival (much appreciated after the drive). The penthouse had everything you could've needed for your stay (speakers and even boardgames) and the rooms/beds were very clean and tidy. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend others to visit.

    Shulin2016-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • We actually felt the photos didn't do this apartment justice. The space was amazing and so comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Michael was a brilliant host helpful every step of the way. Would stay again.

    Ingrid2016-12-05T00:00:00Z
  • Michael provided clear and precise instructions prior to checking in. His penthouse overlooks the Hawkesbury River, and is the perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of Sydney. Penthouse is well maintained, and has all the necessities for a relaxing time with family and friends. Another big plus is the awesome fish and chips just below the Penthouse.

    Victor2016-09-18T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed at the Penthouse with 5 colleagues for a work retreat. Michael was a great host - flexible, communicative and organised. We used the suggested caterer "Secret Dining" and had great, flavoursome and tasty food served right to our table. I would not hesitate to recommend the Penthouse for a work retreat and hope to be back in the future.

    Maria2016-04-09T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely scenic location, with magical views from most rooms. The penthouse is located right above the restaurant and marina at Berowra Waters, and it was great to be able to go to the Seafood Buffet (free drinks on Friday nights) and just walk next door afterwards. The beds were comfortable and the apartment is very spacious and perfect for big groups. Although we didn't do a lot of cooking ourselves, the kitchen seemed well decked out. We recommend walking across the ferry and grabbing a coffee / breakfast at The Chef Secrets. It was a beautiful way to spend the morning.

    Luke & Louise2017-07-09T00:00:00Z
  • A great place for a weekend away. We went out on a BBQ boat for the day (which we received a discount on), and enjoyed a relaxing afternoon and evening enjoying the penthouse and view. The kitchen we great as we could cook our meals, but the cafe, restaurant and bottle shop downstairs were very handy. Definitely recommended.

Our home is close to Church Point. You’ll love our place, we live on the Western Foreshore of the Kur-ing-gai Chase National Park. We have wallabies, fabulous bird life, water activities, like canoeing and fishing, bushwalking, and relaxing in tranquil serene surroundings. Our place is good for couples and solo adventurers.
This property is unique in that you will be staying in a completely separate cabin in the garden. This means you have maximum privacy and peace and quiet. We are also only accessible by boat so we will collect you from Taylor's Point wharf if you drive here. If you come by public transport we will collect you from Church Point.
Our neighbourhood is unique because we are a very close community as we are all isolated by the fact that you need a boat to access our homes. Read Susan Duncan's best selling book, "Salvation Creek" ,to get an insight into life in Pittwaters' Offshore Community.
  • What an awesome piece of paradise! Great views, great company, and great lifestyle. For a magical time away from the bustling city, this little gem is the ultimate destination for relaxation and rejuvenation.

  • What a great weekend away! Really nice people, stunning location and boat trips galore. Wonderful experience. Thanks Rowena and Jon!

    Samuel2017-06-12T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed for a night and the location was amazing. Rowena is a fantastic cook and made us a beautiful three course meal which we enjoyed overlooking the water. We used the kayak to explore and loved the fact the place is boat access. The sleeping cabin is seperate from the house and basic but has all you need - toilet, shower, kettle, beds, linen. It is small though, so there's two singles rather than a double. Hosts were really easy going and friendly. If you like the bush and exploring, this is for you.

    Elizabeth2016-11-12T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely one night stay at Rowenas cabin. It was super cute with everything we could need- and Rowena even baked us an incredibly delicious cake wh oh was waiting for us on arrival. The delivery of a basket with delicious coffee and tea the next morning was a special treat as well. Morning Bay is a beautiful spot and I would highly recommend a visit, we spent two days swimming and lounging in the sun on the jetty and generally having a great and relaxing time.

    Laura 2016-09-25T00:00:00Z
  • This is an incredibly unique and beautiful area. Pickup was seamless, it is super easy (and free) to park your car at the wharf and then the boat trip over to the house was a very fun novelty for a non boating person. The waterfront position can't be rivalled. Even if you're not kayaking or swimming, sitting on the jetty at any time of the day is pretty magical. That being said, the kayaking was the highlight of my stay. You can easily take a single or double kayak down to the water and go out and explore for hours. There are secluded little sandy coves and beautiful clear calm water. We packed a picnic lunch and kayaked over to a a little beach. The cabin was cozy and clean, as I had expected. There was a bowl of fruit and chocolates, tea/coffee, milk and other extras if you need! Rowena and John were very accomodating, if you need anything extra they were willing to help out. We paid for the home cooked dinner on one night which was delicious and definitely worth it on the first night as we didn't want to head out again. I would love to stay here again and explore more of the national park (and more kayaking!!)

    Anna2017-08-14T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect for a get away from the hustle and bustle of Sydney life. So close yet feels so far away, John and Rowena are the perfect air bnb hosts welcoming, helpful and a joy to share a conversation with. Kayaking, walking, stunning views, peace and tranquility everything you could ask for a easy get away. Thanks so much for your hospitality and breakfast was sensational. Anna and Jezza

    Anna2017-04-02T00:00:00Z
  • Rowena and John were lovely, warm and accommodating hosts! Their home makes you feel like you're a world away even though getting there didn't take long at all. Rowena made us a lovely home cooked meal on the Friday night and delicious breakfasts. On Saturday night we opted for dinner at Quay Marina, Church Point and John and Rowena were great captains taking us over and picking us up on the boat. It was a lovely way to travel to dinner. The day was spent kayaking around the bays and enjoying swims in the clear, warm water. The little cottage is nestled amongst the trees and is very peaceful. We would highly recommend this place if you're looking for somewhere not too far from Sydney that really is away from it all.

    Ash2017-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • From the moment we saw this airbnb we knew it was going to be special! It was the perfect escape for a couple wanting to relax and switch off away from the city. The cabin is surrounded by nature, water, stunning views and complete stillness, we couldn't have asked for a better getaway. Rowena and husband John were amazing hosts and Rowena is an incredible cook. They thought of everything from snacks on arrival to full 3 course dinner, marshmallows by the fire and breakfast the next day. They were perfectly involved enough to help and advise us but kept a good distance for maximum privacy. The cabin was very cute and is located behind the house which overlooks the water. Very comfortable beds and actually the best night sleep we've had in a while! Rowena had printed us out a map for us to hike to the top of the hill behind the house with beautiful views over the city. They were also kind enough to loan us their kayaks which were great fun paddling across to the small sandy beaches close by. For such a secluded spot there was plenty to do. The cafe at Church Point is also very cute and a great spot to stop on the way back. It was such a great experience from the location to the people, we highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a relaxing weekend around nature. They are such a welcoming family and we would definitely go back if they aren't booked out. This is airbnb's best kept secret! Thanks so much Rowena and John.

Perfect waterfront location at Morning Bay, Pittwater. This is a very special place to enjoy the beauty of nature. Great for adventurous guests. The atmosphere alone will soothe your soul!
Beautifully crafted cabin right on the waterfront. Perfect to just sit, relax and watch the world go by. If you feel energetic, paddle a kayak and explore. Or go for a bush-walk in the National Park to a lookout overlooking Pittwater, visit the dam, explore the creeks or go further afield, the entire West Head peninsular is within walking distance.
There are a number of beautiful bushwalks in Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park accessible from a path directly behind the main house. And plenty of local wildlife to look out for and enjoy, both in the bush and on the water. There has been the odd echidna waddling through and we have even hand fed a green sea turtle at the pontoon.
  • Tim and Grace are the most lovely, welcoming people who have provided a resort style escape with a view that is to die for. Exactly what I needed to get away from the hustle and bustle. Entirely accurate description, however no reading could prepare you for the beauty of waking up in a loft by the water as the sun touches your face and the cool breeze provides balance. Nothing to fault. Sincerely amazing people and place. Lauren

  • Perfect place for a quiet getaway. The house is only accessible by boat so I suggest all arriving together so that the transport is smooth. The house is clean, modern and has everything you need. The fireplace and views make the house special. Highly recommend if you're looking for a quiet escape.

  • The house is in a stunning location, right on the water. The windows in the house allow you to enjoy the view from every room. The verandah is a lovely spot to eat breakfast or have a glass of wine in the afternoon. The outdoor shower is amazing. A lovely relaxing weekend!

  • Great space, great amentities and beautiful setting. A very relaxing and enjoyable weekend away. Beds super comfy and kitchen very well equipped! Thanks Nic. We'll be back

    Madison2017-06-12T00:00:00Z
  • Nic was very helpful with organising the booking and has wonderful support in the form of Patrick. Very grateful to him for his help during our stay. The tinny was easy to use. Always lovely to be on the water (on the tinny and in the kayaks). The house itself is very comfortable and had everything we needed. There is a little Weber-type BBQ on the balcony if you wish to have a barbie and Berowra Village has a Coles which is only 5-minutes away after you cross the water using the barge. There are some nice hikes on the other side as well. The wifi connection wasn't very cooperative and phone network signals weren't very strong, but overall our group had an excellent time at the Dusthole and we'd recommend it to anyone. Good fishing spot up the waters too.

  • We had a nice weekend in this delightful house, the natural light is crazy beautiful and so peaceful first thing in the morning. Although we did have some minor issues with dirty glasses and crockery with a lack of detergent. Note phone reception is patchy so connecting to the wifi or dongles is recommended.

  • Although we didn't get to meet Belinda we were greeted upon arrival by her Dad. The accommodation is in a lovely, quiet location in one of our favorite northern-most suburbs of Sydney - Berowra where we lived previously for 17 years. There are beautiful bush views and it was very private and spacious.

  • I was only staying overnight as I was attending a wedding in the area, but I found the host's location to be ideal arriving from Sydney by train, only a 20 min walk through nice neighbourhood. My host was very welcoming and kind enough to drive me to the wedding venue as well as showing me points of interest on the way. Everything I needed was there, the accommodation pleasant and the garden area very peaceful. I would definitely recommend staying here.

  • Our stay was very brief as we needed a place to sleep that was north of Sydney for the night. Belinda's husband was very helpful & showed us where to park & walked us to the entrance as we arrived late in the evening. The accommodation was very spacious & in the morning we got to see what a wonderful location it was. Amazing view of national park. We were sad we had to leave so early however we would definitely stay there again. Sorry we never got to meet Belinda, maybe another time.

I am renting out my lovely cabin while I go to uni. It is on my parent's property adjoining the National Park and has stunning views. It is new, modern and carpeted and only 15 mins from the Northern Beaches. Complete kitchen, bathroom and laundry.
This gorgeous property backs onto dozens of bushwalking tracks, with gorgeous sunsets and pool access. Duffys Forest is also home to Skippy the Bush Kangaroo, the famous television show.
  • The request and approval process went smoothly and all other communication with Flynn was excellent leading up to the stay. The room is exactly as described, spacious, private and with the most stunning views of the adjoining national park. The kitchen is well equipped, the bathroom is modern and the bed was very comfortable. Overall I was very happy with my stay and will no doubt be visiting Flynn again when I'm in that area again.

    William2016-03-16T00:00:00Z
  • I’ve had a wonderful stay for three weeks at Flynn’s country retreat. It’s a wonderful self-contained cottage – the picture does the cottage justice. Flynn met me as I arrived and I settled in with a lovely bottle of wine and a few beers that Flynn asked me to dispose of! I had some work to do and the Wi-Fi and huge desk with the window above and views to the national park made this a treat. There’s a super gas fire for the cool nights, a TV that is about the size of a theatre’s - well – it’s 52 inches or so. The bed is comfortable, there’s a comfy couch, swivel chair at the huge desk, and the size of the cottage is big enough that I could call it home, nothing like a motel room. The cottage adjoins the main house where Flynn’s family reside – wonderfully friendly folk. I had the offer of extra pans and dishes or anything I needed to make my stay more comfortable. Their daughter, Gina, did the cottage cleaning, topped the fridge up with a wine on the weekends, and even offered to do my washing - all part of the stay! It’s far enough and insulated from the main house that playing my acoustic guitar didn’t disturb them – I didn’t get any comments so I must have been out of earshot or in tune! The view – yep – it’s right on the edge of the National Park – and as it’s on a ridge there was a fantastic sunset most nights when the clouds didn’t spoil it. In the mornings there was Yarra the cattle dog to throw a stick for or take for a walk on the lead and chickens to feed with my bacon scraps. At night I would go out with my torch/flashlight and spot the wallabies and kangaroos on the back lawn about 20 metres from the cottage. During the day I was out and about in Sydney by car but I also had my road bike and had some glorious cycles in the National Park out to West Head and Akuna Bay – beware of the hill at Cottage Point – it’s a beauty! I had a chilly dip in the ocean one day at the beach which was only a 20 mins drive, and spent a few hours running around the trails in the National Park and around the quiet roads of Duffy’s Forest. Thanks Flynn! Matty

  • Wonderful location and wonderful hosts. Beautiful views from the cabin, very comfy beds, and spectacular bushwalks start just 200 metres from the cabin. We will be back!

  • Flynn and Family were just amazing! We had a girls weekend away and decided to spend our Christmas away. We were truly blown away by the kindness and generosity of The whole family. The very large room was more than enough- to the point we even considered making it a permanent residence hehe! The view from the Windows were just gorgeous and as you discovered the property it truly took your breath away! Wait till you see sunset! It felt like home, so much so that we shared a few drinks and played some board games with Flynn and family! We never imagined to have such fun and make great friends from Airbnb. What a truly Wonderful experience! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts xxx

    Krystie2015-12-28T00:00:00Z
  • Right from the very first enquiry Flynn done everything he possibly could to accommodate myself and my friends. Flynn had great communication skills throughout the lead up to our stay which put my mind at ease about this being my first Air BnB booking. Throughout our entire stay Flynn as well as his family were nothing but helpful, caring and personable. The accommodation and it's location is truly an experience in itself and it's one not to be missed. With the cabin situated on the back of a national park the views are just absolutely breathtaking. The infinity pool that too looks over the beautiful park is just one of the added bonuses. The cabin was a great size and even with five guests we had more than enough space. Everything that we needed was already there waiting for us and even when we did forget to buy cooking oil our hosts were more than happy to help!! Unfortunately we didn't have a car during our stay and although there is a way to get into the city from the cabin services are limited and it can take some time. Having said that because of how happy we were with the cabin itself it didn't phase us to much. On top of that Flynn and Dianne were more than generous and took us shopping as well as to the bus stops near by. It was lovely of Flynn to ask for us to join them in a game of Monolopy and also included us in the reveal of his own made firework on our very last night which was a delight. It was truly a pleasure to meet and stay with Flynn and his family, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend staying here and already there is talk of us vacationing with them sometime in the future.

  • Lovely apartment, very well-set up and comfortable. Obliging hosts. Beautiful location.

  • The cabin was amazing and was exactly as described. The room is really spacious and comfortable and there is plenty of room to spread out and make yourself feel at home. It is such a beautiful location and to have the use of the infinity pool makes it feel like you are staying at a bush health retreat! The bed is probably the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in (seriously). Flynn and his family made me feel so welcome and were also really respectful of my personal space. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend staying at the cabin, you just might not want to leave!

  • Robert & Thuy were lovely Hosts very welcoming and this place is set in a Great Location. A few Issues, in the main living area there was no privacy as it was opposite the main house and Blinds would be a nice touch as privacy is always good. The Kitchen Facilities were there with an Outdoor BBQ style, unsure if they are allowed to be used but Thuy brought over some plates an a pan so we could use them which was lovley but this should be made clear in the add. if it is available then plates, bowls and other things like chopping boards and sharp knives show be available so it is easy to use. It was nice to have a fridge but it was stocked with their own wine and drinks and it felt more like their entertainment area and less like an Air Bnb. The bedroom was great but small touches like bed side tables, and lamps would be an extra. In the add it mentions thinks like Wifi and The Spa/pool when we arrived we saw they were charging for these $5 for the Wifi and $10 for the spa which is fine but should be mentioned in the add. The last thing here was that we was not offered a key to look up the place, it was safe and secure but locking it would be a peace of mind. It was a great Place with the fixed issues would be wonderful.

  • What a fantastic place to stay. What a what a sensational find! Everything that we needed was available including kitchen and cooking facilities, extremely comfy beds, spotless bathroom facilities and an extremely tranquil setting. We enjoyed a wonderful breakfast with Robert, Thuy and Chloe and rest assured it was delightful. I have stayed at a number of airbnb places in Australia and New Zealand and this is by far my favourite so far. I cannot recommended Roberts place highly enough if you believe it suits your needs. We will definitely be back as it is a great place to stay. Thank you very much for providing such great accommodation.

  • Robert and his wife were extremely accomodating. Their beautiful home was kept in immaculate condition located in a secluded area, it felt like we were on a farm but had the convenience of being a short drive from the beaches. I'll definitely stay again.

  • We enjoyed our stay at Robert and Thuy. They are great people. Breakfast is $15 and value for money for what you get. We had German liver pâtés, Italian bread, French pastries, fresh pressed orange juice, scrambled eggs, fresh avocados and tomatoes. Thanks for a great time away. The area is very peaceful and close to the Northern Beaches such as Mona Vale and the Barranjoey lighthouse.

My place is a comfortable waterfront house with a relaxed coastal style. You will have your own bedroom and private bathroom. You’ll love my place because of the natural beauty surrounding it and the peace and quiet. Access is by water only - catch the ferry from Church Point with the ferry wharf only two doors away or jump in a water taxi from Church Point and be dropped on the private jetty. You can even catch a seaplane direct from Rose Bay or contact me if you have a boat.
Surrounded by the Ku-ring-gai National Park, when you arrive in Elvina Bay you will be immediately immersed in the natural beauty and incredible wildlife all around you. There are walking tracks, waterfalls, lookouts and an abundance of wildlife - the kookaburras and lorikeets come and feed every morning and afternoon and the local wallaby usually drops in for a look. Having lived in the area all my life, I can tell you a bit about the area, show you around or leave you in peace to explore on your own. Nearby activities include: sailing, kayaking, swimming, there are waterfront restaurants and cafes and the northern surf beaches are a short boat ride away. My place is good for couples and solo adventurers.

His house is fantastic, we felt very comfortable from the beginning and we had some privacy when we wanted. Mick is also someone you can talk to very easily; a wise, nice, interesting guy! Great chat. The wild life and the area are outstanding, We'll definitly go back

  • Upon arrival Mick came to Church Point to pick us up by boat, which was so lovely of him as it meant we didn't need to catch the ferry or water taxi, he also made it a point to drop us off at the restaurant for dinner that same night The photos you see on Airbnb do no justice to the beauty of Mick's place in reality, it is just gorgeous and I feel that for what's on offer the place is underpriced. Mick also went out of his way to show us around the bay and took it upon himself to guide us, what a host! Our bed was very comfortable and it was an experience waking up to singing birds, I will definitely return and soon, thanks again Mick

  • Mick's place is amazing. The house has beautiful views of Pittwater and is the perfect place to relax and unwind. Mick was also an excellent host. He is a really nice guy and extremely generous. I highly recommend staying at Mick's.

  • We had a wonderful weekend away at Elvina Bay. The bird life was delighful. I highly recommend Mick's place for a good chat, a comfortable stay, bushwalks, swimming and a beautiful view. Thank you Mick for your warmth and generosity. It was a pleasure to meet you.

Close to transport, bus ride to the city and local beaches very close, just a short drive to Chatswood shopping centre, and also Brookvale, Manly, North Sydney and the City.
We're right next to a leafy park and playground, quiet cul de sac means it's a very peaceful street in an extremely quiet suburb.
Terrey Hills has a very country feel, although only a short distance to CBD, there is lots of bushwalking and mountain bike tracks very closeby, as well as access to swimming areas.
  • Comfortable, great location, friendly hosts.

  • Anthony and Stacey are really nice and easy going people. House is quiet, clean and nice. We enjoyed our stay and their warm hospitality greatly.

    Jenny2016-06-16T00:00:00Z
  • The neighbourhood is quiet and is a good spot to run away from the city with an hour ride by bus. The bed was beautifuly confortable and the size of the room is all right for a couple. It is a family house, that means you have to be flexible and adap to a rutine of a working family and their two girls, who are lovely.

  • What an excellent experience. Communication was excellent and speedy. Meeting Anthony and Stacey was a pleasure and the new puppy was absolutely gorgeous. The weather was lousey, however Anthony and Stacey were great hosts and very affable. The room and bed were great, the neighbourhood felt safe and the location, though may seem remote, is really central to many areas of Sydney, especially the northern beaches and north side. A definite return visit when needed. Highly recommended.

    Andrew2016-01-06T00:00:00Z
  • It was awesome! Anthony and Stacey are very very friendly, helpful and warmly - we felt very welcome! The house is clean and comfortable. Our room and our bed were very cozy. The neighborhood was quiet and beautiful. Famous spotts like palmbeach or manlybeach are not far away! We lived here for 1 week and extend our stay for another week. We recommended this place to everyone.

  • Anthony and Stacey,Thanks again for your hospitality. This is a return visit for me. The room is great, the area is very central for my requirments and in a very nice neighbourhood. If you are happy enjoying a family environment, children, pets etc, this is the place to stay. Communication with Anthony and Stacey is trouble free. Young "Dash" (the puppy) is adorable and growing fast.

Absolute waterfront and adjoins the beautiful national park. It's the first house in stunning Lovett Bay and is north facing. You have the whole property to enjoy - the main house, the gorgeous sandstone bushcottage, boatshed and private beach & jetty. Recently furnished. Walk to Waterfalls, kayak, read.
The first house in Lovett Bay so adjoins a National Park - stunning views up to Palm Beach through Pittwater. You have exclusive use of the the jetty/wharf and Boatshed. You can moor your own boat on the jetty. Relax, swim, read and kayak. North facing so plentiful natural light throughout the day - in fact this property has the last ray of sun hit our jetty at the end of the day.
Discover Lovett Bay by boat in high tide... lovely place for a swim as well. Go on a Bush Walk to the Waterfall Take the boat around Scotland Island or to a nearby beach for a picnic. Have lunch in Newport or at the Cafe at Church Point. Enjoy the privacy of the property - on the jetty or in the bush that surrounds the house and cottage.
  • Wonderful beach house, perfect for large family gatherings. Good attention to detail and refined aesthetic taste. Fiona was prompt sorting out a few problems which were mostly due to a power line failure the week before. It wasn't possible to get wifi while we were there but she tried her best to get it reconnected. We were offered a free night's stay and late check-out to compensate for the inconvenience. I would recommend this property as not only does it have beautiful views, it's own private sandy beach, a kayak you can borrow, a large open patio which was perfect for entertaining and a great open aspect but there were some fantastic walks with breath- taking views. One recommendation for next time, have information about what to do if you get a tick and have some Great place to stay !!!

  • Beautiful Langley - we arrived to wide open doors and windows, a clean house and beautifully made beds. The out door furniture was on the terrace and inviting us to sit, relax and enjoy the view. We were lucky to have beautiful weather, a high tide so we could swim from the beach and pontoon. A perfect get away for our extended family of 10 with no tv and no radio, we swam, boated, kayaked, read, walked, played card and board games. Loved the elegant sitting room and collection of Australian ceramics and art. Thank you.

    Kate2016-01-16T00:00:00Z
  • This is a great home for groups looking for a lovely home with a sense of escape. Access is only by water so great if you have a boat - or you can use the tinny they provide. Very stylishly decorated with wonderful open plan areas to entertain. Good for older kids who can escape to private beach to play games, go off for a kayak or potter around on the tinny. Enjoy lunch and stock up with provisions at the terrific Church Point Waterfront cafe just across the water (delicious Chilli Prawn Pizza and you can BYO). Birds, bugs and Bush Turkeys come visit which adds to the fun (but bring bug spray and don't leave food/bins out). Be warned there are no curtains/blinds and little privacy with bedrooms in main house so not ideal for those wanting lie ins or romantic trysts. My husband and I stayed in bush cottage behind which was a cosy escape. We had a very memorable Christmas with 10 of us and thank Fiona for letting us enjoy her special home!

Standalone private cabin with double bed, in the backyard overlooking swimming pool. The family house has all facilities. We have two dogs and two cats. Conveniently located in Berowra, bushy suburbia, train station is a 5 minutes walk.
Beautiful bushy suburb of Sydney, located in the north.
The quietness, Berowra is a leafy suburb. After working in Sydney it is lovely to come home and enjoy the peace. We have a small shopping centre about a 20 minute walk away.
  • Great place to stay, very comfortable. Helgrit and Richard are very friendly but allow you your space when you need it. Easy to get to Sydney and Central coast and beyond via trains or the M1 which are walking distance and a short drive away respectively.

    Paul2017-08-08T00:00:00Z
  • All perfect , Helgrit and her family were very kind and helpful. The cabin was very quiet, nice and clean. Train to Sydney CBD only a few minutes away. It was our second stay at Helgrits Cabin and we definitely recommend this accommodation. Thank you for all you did for us.

    Lars2015-12-05T00:00:00Z
  • We felt so welcome with Helgrit & Richard. The cabin was perfect for us, two adults, an infant, and small child. She accommodated our last minute booking, had a warm fire going inside the main house, and had the cabin all ready for us. There was a nice little radiator that kept us nice and warm as it was a bit chilly the nights we stayed. She always made sure everything was good, prepared tea for us on several occasions, and has the sweetest animals in the world. The dog and cats were a highlight for our girls. It's a great set up, the cabin is very private in a peaceful back yard, with a fridge and pretty comfortable bed. A short walk to the main house is a bathroom, shower with lovely hot water, washer and dryer they kindly let us use to do a load of laundry, and a back sun room with a tv. We got to interact a good amount with them after they were home from their work day. I'm sure in the summer time the pool is lovely to swim in (definitely important to watch little ones around the pool). In short, this place is wonderful, and you should stay here. Thanks Helgrit & Richard!

    Mara2015-07-04T00:00:00Z
  • I received a wonderful warm welcome from Helgrit and felt comfortable immediately. I honestly felt at home and was offered all the facilities of the house as I needed. The whole family was friendly and welcoming. I would not hesitate in recommending this accommodation for singles, couples and even a couple with a toddler would find the cabin more than comfortable. I would definitely stay again if I was in the area.

    Steven2015-09-07T00:00:00Z
  • Helgrit and her Family were absolutely wonderful, they made us feel very welcome and comfortable in their home. The cabin was perfect, just as it was described. We instantly fell inlove with Annie the dog and their two cats, everything was wonderful couldn't thank her and her Family enough. We highly recommend staying in this lovely cabin!!

    Paul2016-10-07T00:00:00Z
  • Helgrith and her family made us feel very welcome. She gave us specific instructions how to get to her home and followed up and checked on us since we arrived late at night. We were welcomed warmly when we arrived. The place is very lovely. We felt we are staying in a vacation house! The cabin is cozy and has a homely ambiance. Helgrith attended to us very well and made us feel very at home. The room provides a heater and we were given tea, delicious yummy cookies, water and milk. There's a mini refrigerator in the room. We also had easy access to the kitchen, bathroom and the living room. The shower and heater is in good condition. We had our privacy in the cabin and at the same time we had great chat time with Helgrith and her family. I fell in love with Berowra. We felt very excited when we arrived at the place. It has a lovely village and community. Very safe. It's quiet, with fresh air and we felt so close to nature. It felt good seeing people doing late night walks as well as morning walks. There's a also an oval and football field right in front of the house. We were lucky we were able to get a home host there. It's accessible to the Berowra train station. So the travel from and to the airport was convenient. It's accessible to churches and coffee shop (a must visit!), 7'11, gas station, Au Post, Subway, pizza place which is superb (must try!), chinese restaurant and other places to buy food. When you need to buy food since the shops are closed early or til 9 pm, you can go to Hornsby, where there's Woolsworth and Coles which close at about 10pm and it's accessible by train. We also got the chance to visit the Farmer's Market which opened timely on that Sunday. There are lots to see in Berowra, if only we had more time but we stayed only for 4 nights. We'd really love to go back and we'd love to go back to Helgrit's home. It's our visit and our initial entry to Australia and we are so glad we got see and stay in Berowra and at Helgrit's cabin. We had a great experience and stay. I really recommend Helgrit's place. It's a big thumbs up! Thank you very much Helgrit and family!

  • Helgrit and her family were great host. They did everything to make us feel very welcome and gave us good tips for awesome locations nearby. The cabin is ridiculously cozy and very clean. We had access to the main house with kitchen and bathroom. It was a great experience and we recommend checking it out.

  • Location was great! Woke up on the river what more could you want. Property was large three stories. Being picked up by boat was fun apart from the rain. House had everything you needed if wanted to stay in and soak up the space. Being familiar with boats is definitely a must for this property if you have a large number of people - we where doing multiple trips to ferry our gear and our guests to the house from the public jetty

    Sam2016-10-29T00:00:00Z
  • Jay's place is definitely better than described and pictured - we took full advantage of the estate's facilities including kayaking and going fishing! There's a shop by the wharf to by bait and a morning coffee! The boat was really easy to drive and the 3-storey house is only 4 mins away! The view was amazing while driving in on boat and also at the waterfront house. Super clean place, air conditioning on all floors and a generally very quiet area. Super relaxing but also very accommodating to our lite party with the outdoor BBQ. Thanks Jay & Susie!

  • The house was absolutely gorgeous. Very capable and easy to drive little boat to get us to and from the accommodation. Very hot of a night on the second floor, and no air conditioning there, but very pleasant on the ground floor where the living areas are. Not overly private, very close to loud neighbours and dogs that seemed to bark all night. All in all, a very pleasant stay.

  • Leah and Paul's place is extremely clean and tidy. All the furniture seems new and very well decorated internally. Externally the 'retreat' feeling is lacking a bit due to being situated in a suburban area. There is also no air conditioning so some may not like that in the hot summer days.

    Andrew2016-12-31T00:00:00Z
  • Leah & Paul have setup a fantastic place to stay, very spacious and comfortable. Great communication and easy arrival. Highly recommended! Love to stay again.

  • We had a fantastic stay at Kookaburra Retreat. An awesome place to relax and unwind which wasn't not too far away from the city. The only noise (?) we heard were those of birds chirping and the wind rustling the leaves. The house was exceptionally clean and almost every facility you can think of was provided for by Leah and Paul - even milk and cornflakes were provided for breakfast.

    Dimitry2016-03-28T00:00:00Z
  • We absolutely loved Kookaburra Retreat. It was everything we had hoped for as a comfortable place to come back to after many hours of walking the Great North Walk. I didn't actually meet Leah and Paul during our stay but everything was smooth from booking to check out. The house was very clean, the beds comfortable and the kitchen was also well equipped. I would definitely recommend staying at Kookaburra Retreat, especially if you're looking for a place where you can simply relax.

  • Kookaburra Retreat is a great place to relax. It's very quiet, tidy and spacious. Leah and Paul have been very flexible and let us stay a little bit longer to enjoy a late Sunday breaky.

  • As other reviewers have mentioned, Kookaburra retreat is exceptionally quiet, clean, tidy and beautiful. We stayed with 2 children and it was perfectly suitable for kids (5 and 7 year olds). Thank you Leah. Did I mention, there is a resident kookaburra who comes to greet twice a day?

Myoora is the ultimate luxury holiday destination. Set upon the tranquil waters of Cottage Point, there are stunning views from every room of the house. The home sleeps 8 in four generous queen bedrooms and features a chef’s kitchen, multiple living areas, infinity edge pool and jetty. Showcased on Grand Designs, Myoora is ideally suited to people who want to get away from it all and enjoy the peace, tranquility and extensive facilities of this magnificent home and its natural surrounds.
Myoora is your ultimate luxury getaway. Set on the waterfront in Kuringai Chase National Park, it feels a million miles from anywhere, yet it is only 45 minutes to the Sydney CBD, and closer to the beaches. Designed by architect Richard Cole, the home has been featured on Grand Designs and in several magazines. Its sandstone, glass and timber construction allows it to blend beautifully into its natural surrounds. The view from the deck and infinity pool is spectacular and ever-changing and you can get amongst it all from the deepwater jetty or in one of the kayaks available to you during your stay. The home is set on two levels with the kitchen, pool and master suite on the top level and three additional bedrooms on the lower level. Each level has its own living area with large TV, and bluray player. The four bedrooms all contain queen beds, built in robes and TVs. Two of the bedrooms have luxurious ensuites with baths and there is an additional bathroom downstairs and powder room upstairs. Guests are welcome to access the boatshed during the day. Kayaks are available for use and at low tide, a private beach offers a great opportunity to take a stroll and explore beyond the shoreline.
Cottage Point is a small community, consisting of only 53 houses. It rests on the tranquil waters of Kuringai Chase National Park and is a favourite destination for boaties, fisherman and families. You can explore the local area by kayak or bring your own boat and rest it on our mooring. The local Cottage Point Kiosk has runabouts and kayaks for hire, and stocks a small range of grocery staples. The hatted Cottage Point Inn Restaurant draws visitors from far and wide and the kiosk serves breakfast and lunch daily.
  • Ahhh where to start. Upon entering the house we were taken by the stunning vista, what a magnificent spot! I could feel my stress levels reducing sitting on the pool deck looking over the tranquil Cottage Point and the moored boats in the bay. The house is a work of art having been featured on "Grand Designs". To say it is spacious is an understatement. Whilst only my wife and I stayed for a short break, it could easily accomodate a large family providing the kids with the downstairs floor equiped with their own lounge room and bathrooms. A kayak (there are several provided),around the secluded bays before breakfast was the perfect way to start the day, followed by a spot of fishing from the wharf and lazing around the infinity pool gazing across the bay. Catherine was very friendly and accomodating when it came to arranging pick up and drop off of the keys. We didn't want to leave and can't wait till our next stay.

Absolute waterfront cottage in picturesque National Park. Romantic. Serene. Private. Perfect getaway. Explore in our 2x2man Kayaks or 2 StandUpPaddle boards. Fish or swim. Bush walk. Read/Relax. Internet. CableTV. Cook up or eat out. Golf, Tennis, 10mins away.
Rare, secluded deep waterfront cottage surrounded by the picturesque Ku-Ring-Gai National Park. Step back in time to when life was simpler, when people had stimulating conversations instead of texting emojee’s, attended elaborate dinner party’s instead of going to a restaurant then played cards or board games like "Twister" till the wee hours of the morning. Romantic. Serene. Private. Right on the water. The perfect getaway. The house has a beautiful lawn by the water, shaded by a Jacaranda Tree with one of the last remaining private tidal sea pools on the Hawkesbury. Relax on the verandah with the water so close, you would think you are on a boat. Facing NorthWest, gaze across the deepest fjord in the Southern Hemisphere at the spectacular beauty that is the Ku-Ring-Gai National Park - thousands of hectares of untouched, virgin bushland. Lie on the pontoon on a summers night and count the shooting stars amongst the endless starry background, unhindered by civilisations lights. This classic late 60’s Cottage will not disappoint you, with its comfortable, relaxed layout and modern conveniences. Explore the clear waters of Cowan Creek in one of our SOT Kayaks or SUP’s (stand up paddle board). Kayak 5-10mins to The Kiosk for a delectable breakfast or lunch. Watch boats go by knowing that you'll never get seasick at Homelea... Read a book from our library or play one of the many board games at hand. Watch Foxtel IQ or the Blue Ray DVD with a small library of DVD's (or bring some with you). Fish off the floating pontoon or in one of our Kayaks and catch something fresh for dinner. **Minimum 2 Nights Stay.
Local Attractions - Surrounded by pristine National Park with so many things to do and see. Stand Up Paddle-board & Kayaks are available at the Homelea residence for your use... Fishing - We have a whole bunch of fishing reels, nets, tackle, etc., so you can chuck a line off the pontoon or drift in our Kayaks and catch some dinner.. Just bring your own bait. Boating - byo or hire a “tinny” (boat with an outboard motor) from the Kiosk. Bush walking/hiking are great ways to experience the natural beauty of the area. Swim in our tidal sea pool. Bring your push-bike and ride the popular circuit through the National Park. When you get hungry and you can’t be bothered cooking yourself, the historic Cottage Point Kiosk (cafe) has a great selection of eat in or takeaway (breakfast & lunch only), and as well, they sell a selection of general store items & essentials, bait, a small selection of alcohol, newspapers, etc. Or there's the award winning, 2 x Hats, fine dining, at Cottage Point Inn Restaurant. All are within walking distance down Cottage Point Road or just Kayak there. Tennis, golf and horse riding are only 10mins away at Terrey Hills. Also at Terrey Hills, there are shops, restaurants and cafe's including Pizza, Thai, Austrian/German, Sushi, Chinese, Sandwich, a Bakery, a small Supermarket, etc. ENJOY YOUR STAY
  • Our long weekend at Homelea was the perfect getaway and a tincture for all the stresses of Sydney. The accommodation is well resourced and perfectly positioned. There is opportunity to do lots, or (as we preferred!) lots of nothing. Very comfortable whether inside at night, indulging the sunset on the verandah or a morning kayak. Clean but not clinical, welcoming and very hard to leave. Thank you very much for allowing is to share this beautiful part of the world!

  • A jewel in Ku-ring-gai! Only 45 minutes from the CBD, Homelea is a must for anyone looking to getaway from the hustle and bustle of city life. When we arrived I was absolutely mesmerised by the view and birdsong. Such a calming place with plenty to do! Thank you Homelea for a wonderful stay!

  • Fabulous absolute waterfront location in stunning Cottage point. Getting there is part of the adventure, navigating the steep terrain to reach the old style cottage. Comfortable and well equipped (except for towels- remember to BYO). Kitchen is fully functional and you will want to stay in and enjoy the view. Bonus having kayaks available to explore the calm waters and peaceful River life.

  • This was our second stay at this fantastic property. Stunning location right on the waterfront. The place is so well equipped it felt like our second home. Loved borrowing the kayaks to explore the tranquil national park surrounds.

  • A beautiful spot to get away from it all. Gorgeous little place, well stocked, and comfortable. Had a great swim off the jetty and loved waking up to the sounds of the water lapping. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Mel was absolutely warm .friendly as well as accommodating of all our requests and went out of her way to make us feel comfortable . • During the enquiry and booking process Jeremy was always quick to respond and accurate with his information. He was very accommodating with our check-in and check-out times, which suited us fine! The home is as described and a beautiful, comfortable place to spend time in. We would have loved to stay longer! Jeremy explained the house and surrounds to us and tried his best to make us comfortable and to ensure that we enjoy our stay. Three of the neighbours also came around when they saw us having a good time in the tranquil garden and also offered help if needed. A very friendly area indeed! We took our own boat, so it was great to have the jetty at the end of the lawn and to discover the waterways, cafes, etc. It is a great spot to go walking and enjoying the neighbourhood. I would suggest though that you drive and leave the car somewhere, as the walk from the house to the closest cafe and flat, easy walking area is not easy; as the road is narrow and winding and there is no pedestrian walk way. The wifi was good and fast. The entertainment room downstairs looked comfortable with the big tv and netflix, but we just did not have the time to enjoy that too! We loved the comfortable home, the views and the area, and would not mind going back soon.

  • This is the perfect place for a weekend escape that money cannot buy. The waterfront view, sandstone stylish decoration, full entertaining equipment and more importantly, the host Jeremy all together are providing a flawless treatment for family with kids. We will come back for another weekend as we could not have enough of Kayaking due to weather. Thank you so much Jeremy!

  • This is really a wonderful house in a secluded quiet location with National Park and creeks and waterways right on the doorstep. The design decor and amenities in the house are all top notch. There is a fabulous kitchen and living area and Foxtel and Netflix. The only minor point to be aware of is that the Telstra mobile coverage is weak/absent which is an issue if you need to make calls or phone messages.

    Andrew2017-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • The location and the property are simply amazing. Church point must be one of Australia's prettiest locations. The House is great but could be equally amazing (considering the costs for renting). When we checked in for a weekend the host was on holidays so we might have had bad luck. When we arrived the house was just "cleaned". Cleaned in brackets because it was far from clean. The floors were mopped with, what we assume, dirty water and towel? The oder of wet towels was everywhere. We had to find tea and hand towels (kitchen) - not provided - these did have a bad oder as well. Most of the kitchen utensils were dirty as in really dirty. A Nespresso coffee maker was present but no coffee pads (was quickly provided). We could not find a coffee plunger of sorts (we had our own coffee). The BBQ... well I have seen better BBQ next to the road for garbage pick-up. The BBQ was not cleaned, not covered and therefor rusted and very very dirty, sausage packaging was left behind attracting many insects. Bed sheets had holes in it and covered in stains, we tried to find others without much luck. The bedrooms have no curtains which is a personal decision and not to bad but frustrating with a toddler who needs a afternoon nap. Doors and windows have no insect screens which (might have) resulted in out little daughter being eaten alive by mosquitos even though she sleeps in a fully covered (mesh) bed and we applied insect repellent. Unfortunately a trip to the pharmacist was required. Regarding toddlers, The house has open staircase and is extremely dangerous with a toddler. We had to use furniture to block her from entering parts of the living room. Well, as said, house, location and views are stunning but attention to detail was lacking big time.

  • The hosts made us feel very welcome from the moment they met us through to the day we gave the keys back. Dealing with our hosts was an easy-going experience, they were available to meet us and hand the keys over. They took the time to explain what we needed to know to make our stay smooth. The champagne on arrival was a thoughtful touch and they were easy to get in touch with and quick to reply. They made us feel at ease and at home immediately. I would definitely stay here again and or recommend this house and the hosts to others.
