Shopping Mall
“If you get the chance and you are a market lover you must visit the daily market in Malaga but for a quick visit close by I always prefer the municipal market of Fuengirola to the large supermarkets. It is a little run down but the kindness of the people there makes up for it and more. It is situated on the principal roundabout into Fuengirola (with the local train station to Malaga and its airport on the opposite side, along with a taxi rank). Get your fruit and vegetables at Anita and dried fruits and nuts on the same floor at the end. Fish, Iberian ham, sausages, meat and spices per gram are all available. There aren't many organic options but you can always ask what's local. On street level (in an alley line with the Sabadell bank) is a bar where they always have great coffee and a delicious and very affordable home made day menu. The view isn't great (you look at the market wall) but you'll be surprised of the activity in this bar of people who work in the area and come in for their daily coffee/lunch break. ”
