Coquille Vacation Rentals

Just booked in Coquille

Our spacious tepee sits in a pasture on a hill with panoramic views of the river below. We've got two comfy queen beds inside. A cozy smoke-free gas fire pit adds warmth and ambiance. The hot outdoor shower and outhouse also have excellent views. Just 15 minutes from Bandon.
  • This was such a wonderful, comfortable, easy stay. A unique experience with alpacas, an amazing view, outdoor shower/bathroom (much loved by the 10 and 8 year olds). Super comfortable and more beautiful than the pictures capture! Will definitely try to book again if we are staying in the area.

    Kelly2017-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • What a great experience. Teepee was cozy and fun with the views beautiful. Just what we were looking for during our road trip. Daemian, Katie and Maya were great hosts with very welcoming us not only to the farm but their spaces. Highly recommended.

  • This accommodation is a hidden gem!

    Jeff2017-08-10T00:00:00Z
  • The beds in the teepee were extremely comfortable, and the gas-fire pit provide physical and visual warmth. The s'mores goodie bag was a wonderful touch.

    Rob2016-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • Damian's place is the best Airbnb we have ever stayed in. The teepee was easily big enough to fit two very comfortable bed and a stone fire place with lots of room to spare. We had access to our own toilet and shower overlooking the most beautiful river. Damian himself was incredibly friendly and an amazing host. He even helped us fix something that we broke on our motorbike. Thanks again for a great stay Damian!!

  • Great unique experience. We were warm and comfortabl all night long. Our daughters loves the animals. The stars were amazing. We would definitely come again.

    Victoria2017-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • If you are looking for a place off the beaten path and for an awesome adventure/view, the Teepee is the place for you. Refreshing outdoor shower with an impeccable view, and the alpacas were a friendly touch.

  • Warmly greeted when we arrived. Loved the rustic setting, outdoor facilities! Exactly what we were expecting.

The Great Horned Owl Room has a cozy queen sized Swedish Tempurpedic bed and a twin bed with a memory foam topper. Both beds have high thread count sheets. The room has an ensuite bathroom with antique clawfoot tub and shower. At night, the room is dark and quiet for a good night's sleep (except for the occasional Great Horned Owl in the woods outside your window)! Our delicious spring water has some color to it, due to naturally occurring tannins, which are actually good for you.
This second story room has great views of the Coquille River through original 1895 wavy-glass windows. During your stay you can enjoy a stroll out onto the dock to watch the small boats go by, or to sit and watch the sun set. When the weather is nice, we'll have a campfire after dark in the meadow area behind the house, come join us! The neighborhood of Prosper Village was once home to 500 shipbuilders, lumberjacks, salmon fishermen and cannery workers. Emil Heuckendorff was the Master of the Yard, designing and overseeing the construction of ocean-going vessels. His home, the Danish House, was built on the other side of the river in Randolph and was brought to its present location by Mr. Heuckendorff. Modern conveniences (shopping, hospital, dining, horseback riding, ocean fishing charter boats, world-class golfing) are a short 5 minute drive into Bandon-by-the-Sea or Bandon Dunes Golf Resort. Come visit Prosper Village and imagine life in a simpler time!
Parkersburg Road is a great choice for morning walks or jogs, and three other homes next door are also vacation rentals, so most folks are here to enjoy the natural beauty and wildlife.
  • Beautiful place. Easy coming and going. Incredibly friendly.

  • My husband, toddler, & I absolutely loved staying in the Horned Owl Room! The bed was incredibly comfy, the bathtub was DIVINE, and the views of the river were beautiful. I loved that Christine also had some nice extra touches such as bathrobes, bath salts, snacks right outside the door, and chocolates on our pillows. We'll definitely be back next time we're through Bandon!

  • This place is so charming, scenic, and easy to get to. It is close to town with great things to see and do.

  • We enjoyed our stay in Bandon & meeting Chris & her husband. The room was perfect and comfortable. Chris is a great communicator and her house is warm & super clean. The breakfast was yummy, too. We definitely recommend them and will return when we are in the area.

    Joan2013-10-23T00:00:00Z
  • Christine is really nice. The room is very nice, with an attached private bath, and a super comfortable bed. The location was quiet. Exceeded expectations.

    Keith2016-12-17T00:00:00Z
  • Fabulous old Charm house, incredibly comfortable beds, the bath was Devine after a long day of flights/driving. Views were amazing. Close enough to old Town and shopping, but far enough in country to be quiet. Highly recommend. Will definitely share with friends and family that come to visit! Christine was welcoming but not overly chatty and respected privacy/quiet. Highly appreciated!

    Leana2017-04-28T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely historic home in a quiet and peaceful setting, yet close to town. We appreciated Christine's warm welcome, the lovely well appointed sparkling clean room, and many upscale extras that went into making our stay comfortable and memorable.

The Belted Kingfisher Room has two cozy full sized beds with high threadcount sheets. The room has an ensuite bathroom with a large tub and shower. The room has a river view - there's lots of nature to be seen here, including the belted kingfisher whom we named the room after! Look up in the trees hanging over the river and you might catch sight of one! Our delicious spring water has some color to it, due to naturally occurring tannins, which are actually good for you.

  • Christine and Mike have a beautiful home in a quiet, scenic neighborhood. Only a few minute drive to beaches and downtown Bandon, OR which is a quaint and friendly seaside Oregon town. One of the most comfortable beds we've slept in, beautiful home, but most important were the friendly hosts that treated us like family. I would highly recommend staying here over a hotel any day! Kid and pet friendly :)

  • Check in and communication was so easy with Chris. Our room was lovely; clean, comfortable, and cozy! We enjoyed the windows and views. After checking in, the river drew us to the dock and we sat drinking wine, watching the sun set, and enjoying the quiet and peace. Chris and Michael greeted us with a smile in the morning and provided lots of goodies for a morning treat: bagels, yogurt, fruit, oatmeal, and most importantly...coffee! :) We had breakfast on the dock and saw a great blue heron and 2 river otters that swan under where we were sitting. It was a magical setting and if we ever get back here, this will be where we stay! Thank you to Chris and Michael!

  • Beautiful location and home! Chris was very sweet and welcoming. We had a great stay in the King Fisherman room

    Noor2017-06-19T00:00:00Z
  • Hosts were super nice. It was a quiet relaxing area, and the beds were super cozy! I wish I would have had enough energy to take a bath in the amazing tub!! Hopefully next time :)

    Penny2017-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • This is a highly recommended place to stay. Beautiful, quaint, interesting history. Chris has spent a lot of time doing interior decorating, getting neat historical furniture and artifacts. Reminded me of old country farmhouses. Chris and her husband are excellent hosts. The room, facilities, everything was fabulous and clean. Nothing was too much trouble. Very pet friendly, our girls sure enjoyed their stay too! Loved staying here, even booked an extra night. Thank you so much!

    Melanie2017-03-18T00:00:00Z
  • We booked for a relaxing getaway for my moms birthday. This is a great place for families. The surroundings are gorgeous- the house is filled with comfortable vintage charm, and speaking of comfy the beds are AMAZING! Coffee and snacks are right outside of the rooms. It was the perfect spot. We will be back!

    Katrina2017-04-15T00:00:00Z
  • We had a very pleasant and comfortable stay at Chris's place. The house is in a lovely and peaceful location and it is very quiet at night. We thoroughly enjoy our stay and will return when the next trip brings us to this part of the coast.

  • There were three of us in one room with two double beds's. Absolutely a beautiful experience in a very peaceful setting. Christine is the new Masing hostess. My only complaint is that the beds were too comfortable and my companions were snoring!

This is my favorite room... it's cozy and gets the morning light, with a nice view of the woods. The queen bed has an industrial strength down comforter with silky cotton cover, which might make it hard to get out of bed in the morning :) The room has an ensuite bathroom with shower. Our delicious spring water has some color to it, due to naturally occurring tannins, which are actually good for you!
This second story room has a very cozy queen sized bed with high thread count sheets. The Bald Eagle Room has an ensuite bathroom with shower, and great views of the backyard which is bordered by woods (where actual bald eagles perch and soar). • Interesting location and interesting hosts. Great time all around.

  • Christine made us feel right at home. This was my second stop on a 2-week roadtrip and the location was great. Near Bandon Dunes (golfing for the boyfriend) and a short drive to Dunes National Recreation Area on the coast (hiking/exploration for me). I was actually feeling a bit under the weather when I arrived, but a night in the comfy bed (with an awesome shower!) made me feel much better.

    Carlie2017-08-07T00:00:00Z
  • What a wonderful space! The room/bathroom was very clean and equipped with everything we needed. Everything smelled so fresh and the bed was pillowy soft. The location felt very secluded although you are only minutes away from the cute town of Bandon. Such a great place!

    Kaylee2017-05-14T00:00:00Z
  • Great looking type room by the river. Gets lots of sun!

    Rebecca2017-03-21T00:00:00Z
  • If you are going to be in this area, you must stop here! A cozy home with an authentic vintage feel. The bed was extremely comfortable and a chocolate was waiting on the pillow. The bedside tables included a handy charging center with multiple plugs and USB hookups as well, perfect for charging your phone, cameras, laptop, and anything else you need. The shower in the attached bathroom was very spacious and had a nice shower head. Definitely take a few minutes in the morning to walk out to the docks across the street for a peaceful view.

  • Great place to stay while in the area

    Ernie2017-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • Christine's place was AMAZING! The veiw was great. My partner and I got fish and chips for dinner down by the dock in town. We went for a walk up the road from there place which was also lovely. The room was cute, and the coffee ans tea and breakfast options were great. The house made lots of scary noises haha but the bed was so comfy and we fell straight asleep. Overall it was a pleasant getaway. Would recommend

    Heather2017-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • This place is super cute and amazing. Easy to find...just a short drive to the historic downtown. The view is gorgeous, and you can sit on their dock and enjoy the sound of the waves and the wind in the grasses. Christine and her husband are adorable and accommodating. They even had a washer and dryer we could use! She has coffee and some simple breakfast items available.

  • Got to the room a little late, settled in, and went to bed with an amazing view of the night sky right outside the bedside window. Woke up, and was again amazed by the beautiful view! I wish I would have had more time to enjoy this hidden gem. If you're considering this a stop on your journey, you won't be disappointed at all with this choice.

  • This was a perfect room for me while traveling up along the coast. Christine was very helpful and responded right away when I had any questions! Would stay here again!

    Rachel2017-07-25T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect space for a solo traveler, a small room in a lovely house in a beautiful setting. Really enjoyed my time here. Thanks Christine!

    Anil2017-08-01T00:00:00Z
  • The Swedish Elf Room was one of three rooms in the Swedish House. The house itself is very cool, cozy and rustic. Each room has it's own full bathroom a d the common spaces are a dining room, family room, living room, kitchen and a very nice sun room in the back. Toiletries and towels were provided. Check in and out were super easy and I would definitely stay again if I'm ever back in the area. Christine was a wonderful and very hands off type of host. I highly recommend one of her properties if you're ever looking for a place on the southern Oregon coast.

    Ben2017-08-21T00:00:00Z
  • I cannot express this enough: this house and property are absolutely gorgeous. My stay was no less than luxurious (there was a friggin robe in the bathroom), and for the price, this home is unbeatable. Staying here is an experience in itself. Highly recommend.

    Paul2017-09-18T00:00:00Z
  • I absolutely loved the Swedish elf room, Christine's directions were very accurate which made it easy for me to find the house even though I arrived in utter darkness. The house was very welcoming and I really liked the personal welcome note and the little chocolate on the bed. I had a lot of fun exploring the house. I slept very well, with only the sounds of nature in the background. The bed was superb and the down comforter kept me cosy. I would most definitely recommend this place if you are looking for a good night's rest in an enchanting environment.

    Nicky2017-09-24T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely place to stay! Very cozy & peaceful. Super comfortable bedding. Perfect place to recharge during a coastal adventure!

    Shaila2017-09-16T00:00:00Z
  • I just love this place. A sense of seclusion but feeling of small community of the guests who inhabit the various bedrooms. Not for everybody - it's a bit isolated, in an old building with the creaks and bugs that come with them, but Christine had fresh towels and linens, toiletries, ample power ports, and even a bath robe to balance it. Keurig coffee maker and access to their boat dock for some relaxation, and that babbling brook just made the experience something to be thankful for.

Our farm is tucked into a beautiful, isolated, north-south valley on the western slope of the coast range of southern Oregon, with a clear and clean river named Middle Creek running through. Lush pasture, a 100 year old conifer forest, barns, and a home surrounded by productive and established orchard, flower beds and veggie gardens, the land sits a mile or so below a narrows in the canyon of blue-green mountains that face the sea. As a place of serenity and lush beauty close to nature, this is the ideal retreat or inspirational getaway far from the hustle and bustle of big cities and busy highways. Our two available bedrooms sit in the west wing of our craftsman/lodge style farmhouse. They are available separately or together and this listing is for the smaller room with a queen sized bed. The other room (also with a queen bed) can be booked via the other listing for this location. There is a tile bathroom with a sink and toilet in between the two bedrooms, and a shared deck directly outside. The underwater themed tile master bathroom, across the living room, has a shower for guest use. The property also houses a studio building with a mirrored dance/work-out/yoga studio/home theater on the upper level that is available for AirBnB guests to use upon request. Our living room and kitchen are shared spaces, available for your use at any time. As we host work-traders through the WWOOF organization from Spring to Autumn, we have breakfast together in the morning after the goats have been milked and the chickens have been fed. You are welcome to join us for this meal if you are an early riser! We all have group meals for dinner around 7 PM. All meal details will be arranged at booking. A winding, scenic, paved 20 minute drive takes you to the old town and county seat of Coquille, and another 20 minutes lands you in the city of Coos Bay, which is the second largest port on the renowned Oregon coast. South of that is the quaint town of Bandon-by-the-Sea where the southern stretch of breathtaking sea-stacked rocks begins, leading to the giant redwoods in northern California. Old-growth forests are a short drive from the farm, and beautiful hiking, running and biking routes along the river and within the canyon are accessible from our property. There is also a beautiful waterfall and swimming hole a mile up the road from the farm (right onto Middle Creek Road from Driveway). Roseburg and the I-5 corridor are slightly over an hour away with easy access to winery tour routes and other parts of Oregon or California. *A few of our main flower gardens are currently under renovation, sorry for the inconvenience.*
  • You may only get a limited number of perfects, in a life time. This weekend was one of those. Dan and Micha were perfect hosts, the house was the perfect house and their farm was the perfect farm. If you want to go off the grid, relax, chat, enjoy the perfect place, this is the place to do it. p.s. The weather was perfect. Thank you so much Dan and Micha for your hospitality. If you every get to Fl, you are welcome in our home.

    Chuck2015-06-09T00:00:00Z
  • I don't even know where to start.... I have very personal reasons that Myrtle Glen Farm struck dear to my heart, but will say how this is just a magical place for anyone lucky enough to experience. Dan and Micha are the most laid back and cool people. I loved their sense of humor and passion. Dan met me with a big smile and welcomed me in right away. Everything about Myrtle Glen is just lovely. The house exudes so much warmth and is so inviting as well as beautifully appointed. The room was very cozy and quiet with amazing view. I felt spoiled with the offering of homemade cider and golden plum wine. I so enjoyed the incredibly delicious dinner and breakfast family style. Micha is most sweet and gracious and has such a calm and comforting presence. David was awesome and is a great storyteller. Looking forward to hearing and learning more from all on next visit. The dynamic between the three, between the animals and the environment, creates the perfect atmosphere and everything just seems to flow. The property is overwhelmingly beautiful and around ever corner it just gets better. I enjoyed a hike with one of the sweet resident pooches (Oops) and she led me to some beautiful woods. The goats are hilarious and friendly (Cathy was my favorite) and Sequoia and Tilly and Bob the duck with his funny little walk provide critter fixes. I could go on and on....I just can't wait to go back.

    kristen2015-03-14T00:00:00Z
  • As I got out of my car to approach the country inn, Dan came out the door to greet me, as did their friendly pooch. I immediately felt at home, but that feeling increased the longer I was there. As I told them, usually at a hotel or B&B, my interaction with the host is minimal and I will typically keep it that way by retiring to my room. But even though there was a rather large age gap between me and them, it felt like one big family. Because of that I guess I probably talked their ears off while sitting in the comfortable chair in living room. The food was great (from their garden for the most part), the bed was comfortable, it was really quiet, and the shower facility was really nice. I guess I could go on and on, but it was the best place I've stayed for AirBnB in the U.S.A. It is way out in the boonies, and I mean that as a compliment.

    Jack2015-08-10T00:00:00Z
  • The space was super peaceful and lovely. I enjoyed my time meeting new, great people and exploring the nearby forest. Air Bnb is at its best when you have a certain type of person wanting to share their homes and stories with you. It's more like finding a host family than just a place to stay. Dave and Leena really hit that mark and make you feel welcome. This is a great place to relax and of course eat delicious food -- all while watching adorable baby goats frolicking. I mean seriously, that's awesome!

    Lin2014-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful night here thanks to Leena's amazing hospitality (and the presence of some very cute kittens). The farm is beautiful and we loved being shown round. The meals were fantastic - fresh yoghurt, home made apple juice, home brew beer and cider, huge salads.

    Eve2012-09-25T00:00:00Z
  • What a dreamy beginning to our 10 day long road trip. We arrived in the dark so obviously unable to see the entire lay of the land. Upon arriving we settled into a delicious meal of home made soup (ingredients from the garden), homemade bread, and strawberry wine. We shared our meal with David who is a sage in his own right, full of knowledge and experience regarding living a full life off the land. The room & bath were clean, well stocked, and private - after our long drive we slept great. Upon waking we were able to view the land and were so inspired by all of the gardens, orchards, goats, lama, it just goes on and on - very picturesque! We enjoyed a wonderful breakfast with homemade granola, jams, and fresh squeezed goat's milk - I'm telling you it just doesn't get any better! In the morning we met Leena who has similar interests so it was very easy to talk and connect with her. This a must if you find yourself in their neck of the woods, I'm already looking forward to our return!

    Alex2013-10-15T00:00:00Z
  • Me and my husband stayed with David for one night, we did not get the chance to meet Leena. We were invited to join David and his wwoofers (volunteer workers) for dinner and breakfast the next morning, which was really tasty and we had some interesting conversations with them. It was a unique experience to visit Myrtle Glen Farm - we loved the peaceful surroundings and meeting the animals: goats, dogs, cat, and a llama! I would recommend visiting here if you want a secluded stay away from big city life and close to nature. Good hiking trails in the nearby woods!

    Claire2014-06-28T00:00:00Z
  • Just go! Beautiful location with excellent accommodations. The facilities are well maintained and updated. This quiet retreat was built with love and a mission to sustainable living. It was truly a humbling experience to us city folk. One night is not enough to experience it all. We opted to have dinner and breakfast prepared by David and the "WOOFERS" that were working at the farm at the time. The meals included fresh garden produce and were delicious and well balanced. The "locally produced" wines were a great accompaniment to dinner. We enjoyed visiting with David. He is a gracious host and offers many varied stories of his life experiences. The lessons learned about sustainable living in our short stay will be readily and easily incorporated into our own daily lives. I am sure my own garden will thrive and produce better next year due to it. The resident dogs Oops and Tilley were just the two we needed to help fill the void of missing ou own pet. Thank you David for opening your home to us!

“Whispering Pines BnB” is a rustic, wooded retreat where you can stroll on forest paths and listen to the birds singing. If you listen, you can hear the surf from the ocean which is ten minutes away. We are located just outside of Bandon, Oregon.
At Whispering Pines BnB the eggs are fresh from the chickens, the grass is mowed by our horse, and the backyard is inhabited by two Golden Retrievers waiting for someone to throw them a stick. We are located just outside of Bandon, close to Bullards Park (and the Coquille River lighthouse) and the Bandon Dunes Golf Course (the #1 golf resort in the US). They are all about a 10 minute drive. The nearest restaurants and shopping center are 5 minutes away. Your “room” has its own private entrance, bathroom and kitchenette where you can fix and enjoy your own breakfast with fixings provided. (Fixings include fresh farm eggs (in season), bread for toast and coffee). The kitchenette has a microwave, small refrigerator, dishwasher, sink, stove top, large toaster oven and a breakfast bar. Your “room” is the entire ground floor of our house. It is 25’ by 25’ minus a central storage area so it is an “U” shape. We have no TV but there are several bookshelves full of books and magazines for all ages and interests. We do have Wi Fi. Bandon is a picturesque tourist town. Highlights are tasting cheeses and eating ice cream at the Face Rock Creamery, tasting and buying cranberry candies at Cranberry Sweets, dining along the waterfront or in nice seafood restaurants and shopping in Old Town in a variety of small gift shops. There are several art galleries. On weekends during the summer it is fun to visit the farmers market which hosts booths for many local artisans as well as farmers. In the Fall, it's time to fish for Salmon on the nearby Coquille River. Bandon beaches are wide open with only a sprinkling of tourists. Big rocks jutting out of the ocean and sand give the Bandon beach character. At sunset, photographers often go to the beach to photograph the sun setting on the rocks and beach. Some enjoy searching for agates or watching birds and whales (in season). At the Bandon Boat docks you can watch the birds and boats, book a guided fishing or sightseeing boat or sit on the dock and fish for crabs. West Coast Animal Game Park is a fun place to take kids where they can pet and feed goats and other animals and see tigers, lions and other animals in their cages.
We live in a quiet neighborhood where most people live on 5 acres or more. We have 16 acres and cannot hear or see our neighbors. You will drive by our closest neighbor when you first come in our driveway. People can be seen walking, jogging, biking, and walking their dogs on our street. Our street is paved, but our driveway is gravel. We are close to Bandon, but a bit warmer and much less windy.
  • Whispering Pines is a beautiful country life priority nestled in the middle of the woods. Donna is a great host, and we enjoyed talking with her while playing with the dogs and feeding the horse. The house has a lot of privacy, as does the room. We really appreciated the farm fresh eggs from the chickens and the breakfast condiments in the fridge. This place truly is special and feels like a real bed and breakfast. Couldn't have been happier with it.

  • Donna's place is fabulous for exploring the coast, the beaches at Bandon and further South are beautiful, the accommodation is perfect, very well equipped, and Donna was the perfect host, such a warm welcome and so friendly and helpful throughout our stay, Linda and John

    Linda2017-07-29T00:00:00Z
  • Donna was very nice! When I checked in she brought a basket of goodies for breakfast which was so sweet. The place is a great deal for what you get with your own little kitchen and space. The bed was big and comfortable. It was also great to walk the trails on property with my pup. We enjoyed the stay! Thanks again!

    Megan2017-09-14T00:00:00Z
  • Donna was an incredible host. Super friendly and provided everything you could hope for and more. It was the ideal space for us. Would love an Airbnb like this one in every city. Will definitely stay again if ever in the area.

    Georgia2016-09-06T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our stay here and Donna was very accommodating. The kids loved seeing all of the animals and it was a nice location just outside of the city. We'd like to come back soon.

    Quentin2016-07-20T00:00:00Z
  • A Rustic Wooded Retreat is exactly what this is and we enjoyed every bit of it. The kids especially loved to explore the paths and feed apples to the horses. Donna and Dave are great hosts and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to friends.

    Matt-Stacy2016-07-18T00:00:00Z
  • Donna (and her beautiful dogs Hunter and Amber) welcomed us with open arms when we arrived late in the night. She was very accepting of late arrival and showed us around a little and made us feel at home. The place is wonderful with a great wood burning stove as the center piece, bookshelves filled with books, and beautiful photos she takes herself. We wished we could have stayed longer to really experience all her property has to offer (trails, horses, and more) and what Bandon has to offer. All in all, we will be back again and would recommend anyone to stay at this beautiful, fun, and unique place in the woods that feels like a home away from home.

    Brendon2016-08-29T00:00:00Z
  • Even though our reservation to stay at Donna's was a last minute decision, it felt like meeting a long time family friend when she welcomed us. Gracious, friendly and extremely helpful, Donna has taken care of every last detail and helped make us feel more comfortable than we have in a long time. The location is a bit off the beaten path, but so beautiful, even the drive out alone was worth it. Peaceful, beautiful and quiet are but a few words that kept being used over and over again during our stay. Make sure to get Donna to call the horse out for some apples and enjoy the tranquility of a place hidden amongst whispering pines. Can't recommend it enough.

  • I have stayed with Airbnb more than a dozen times across the US and I have never had a bad experience. But staying with Daemian, Katie and Maya was an especially memorable event. Not only is their place like a 4-star hotel, but they are down to earth, gracious and welcoming people who truly enjoy getting to know other people. I debating staying with myself because of the somewhat out of the way location from Hwy 101. But it turned out to be a very good call as their lovely setting, great room and warming personalities made it completely worthwhile.

    Brian2017-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • Daemian, Katie, and Maya were great hosts! We arrived late and they were still accommodating to our needs. They had an adorable kitten that hung by our room which also had an expansive view of the property. In the morning we discovered alpacas, goats, and sheep. Quiet, clean environment. Would stay again and highly recommend!

    Amanda 2016-10-08T00:00:00Z
  • We absolutely loved it! Daemian, Katie, and Maya were wonderful. Super friendly and welcoming. They even made us huevos rancheros for breakfast. The room was beautiful and comfortable. The bed, yes please. The claw foot tub, amazing. The entire space was perfect. Daemian recommending some places in town for dinner and drinks that we tried out and they were great. If you're staying here, go to Speakeasy 33 and order a Moscow Mule. We hope it make it down for another trip soon. I would definitely recommend this place!

    Alicia2016-09-25T00:00:00Z
  • Breathtaking views! By far, the cutest place we've stayed. We spent the morning sharing coffee with Katie and Damien and watching baby alpacas run over the hills and petting a baby lamb. The bath tub is amazing and so peaceful to lay in and take in all the views. Such a wonderful family with, that made us feel so welcome. Will be back again soon :)

    Chelsey2016-07-17T00:00:00Z
  • Had a fantastic stay! Daemian was extremely hospitable and great to talk to. The house was beautiful and had a great view, and seeing the garden and animals was a fun twist. Daemian also made a great breakfast to top it off. Would definitely recommend.

    Anthony2015-08-14T00:00:00Z
  • Daemian met us with warmth and enthusiasm (Katie was away at the time we arrived) and showed us around his whole home (which is spectacular!) We met his adorable daughter Maya and some of his cool friends who were also staying on the property. He also made us coffee and breakfast in the morning, just like a real B&B, only better.

    Patricia2016-07-26T00:00:00Z
  • The host canceled this reservation 49 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.

    Jo2016-05-21T00:00:00Z
  • We did not get to meet Katie or Maya, but Daemian was in constant communication with us regarding our (constantly changing) plans and arrival time. We ended up getting in later than expected but Daemian was flexible and was there waiting when we got there to show us the digs. The view and setup is amazing! Hard to get more serene than that. Hosts left earlier than us the morning we left but gave us plenty of info on the logistics of leaving as well as restaurants and tips on the area. Could not recommend these guys higher if you're coming through the area!

Our place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, fishermen; flexible for foursomes and families.
There is one room with two extra long twin beds, and another which has a king bed for couples. There is a full bath between the rooms and private deck and separate entrances. We send you a request for additional payment for the second room in the suite at a slight discount when you book multiple nights and want both rooms.

State parks all over nearby, Oregon Islands National Wildlife Refuge adjacent, and easy day trips to Gold and Silver Falls, Shore Acres botanical garden, multiple museums, wineries, etc.

  • I was seeking a peaceful getaway to spend a few days writing and completing schooling projects over spring break. My husband found this home and it couldn't have been more perfect. The room was clean, comfortable and provided a perfect atmosphere for my needs. I loved the location as it was close to town yet felt far away and the manicured grounds were lovely indeed. My daughter wanted to come along with her infant and the home had and adjacent, second room which enabled her to accompany me while still affording me the space I needed. We would highly recommend this Airbnb to anyone, and I look forward to sharing the experience with my husband on a return trip.

  • Liza's place is in a lovely setting. The home, garden and furnishings are beautiful. The room and bathroom were very clean and nicely decorated. My husband and I were the only guests and so we stayed in the room with a comfortable king bed. She and her husband were very kind and especially helpful with allowing us to pack and store the fish my husband caught on his fishing trip. Liza's personal touches made our stay a very nice one.

    Sabrina2017-05-21T00:00:00Z
  • Gorgeous location, everything was clean and orderly. Our host was so welcoming and friendly, and helpful with local tips on what to see and do. She surprised us in the morning with some heavenly muffins! Highly recommended.

  • Wonderful location minutes away from Old Town and tucked up in the hills. Liza was easy to reach and quick with local recommendations, not to mention the stellar amenities. Places like this make you wonder why hotels still exist.

    Jake2017-04-28T00:00:00Z
  • It doesn't get any better. Staying in an ultra modern, well furnished, for me I chose to call it a retreat near the Oregon coast. This place is only a few minutes from Old town Bandon nestled on a well secluded spread of tall trees with a very meticulous landscaped yard. Liza was kind and caring enough to provide me with some healthy food options that added more comfort to my stay. There was so much info available in my room regarding the history of Bandon and the many places to explore and visit. It is most certainly worth the time and effort to stay there. Thanks Liza I will be back.

    Larry2017-08-01T00:00:00Z
  • Liza is an awesome host. Her place is breathtaking. She is a very gracious and friendly host. She prepared baked goodies for breakfast. She gave us tips on crabbing and lent us the crab pots. The kids had so much fun even lounging around on her property. Hummingbirds, cats, the apple trees, garden, majestic pine trees and flowers. We stayed during the solar eclipse and marveled at nature in her front yard. Very close to Bandon town. We visited the farmers market and combed the beach for agates.

Sweet little Bambi Airstream is set between two vintage vacation homes in the woods. We're a short 5 minute drive from town (restaurants, grocery store, hospital, the beach). Also 5 minutes from world class golf at Bandon Dunes. The trailer has electricity, hot and cold water for sink and shower, flushing toilet, and a stereo sound system (as well as tv). Microwave, refrigerator, and Keurig coffee maker.
Cozy memory foam bed is as wide as a full/double and as long as a queen. Made up with high thread count sheets and a duck down comforter, and memory foam pillows... you will be in the lap of luxury!
The Airstream is nestled in a little group of 100 year old vacation homes, so you'll be amongst like-minded travelers :)
  • I have always wanted to stay in an Airstream and Christine's is very comfortable and made for an enjoyable stay. I now want an Airstream of my own! It's about a 10 min drive to the beach and into town, but it's worth the drive. Christine was very accommodating and I would definitely stay there again!

    Claire2017-05-28T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed in the large upstairs bedroom of the Swedish house that had a private bath. This bed was really comfortable and we had a good nights rest. The rest of the house is well appointed and has a lot of history to discover and read about. Be sure to read the details provided in the living room. Christine communicated with us promptly when the original Airstream we had booked ran in to electrical issues and accommodated us in the Swedish house.

    Mehlam2017-06-05T00:00:00Z
  • This little Bambi was an adorable little retreat after a long day on the road! We appreciated the personal touches (snacks, coffee, fresh towels, chocolates on the pillows -- so sweet!). Check-in was straightforward, and the location wasn't too difficult to find with Christine's thoughtful and thorough navigation instructions. This Airstream was a bit tinier than we'd anticipated (especially for my poor 6'4" boyfriend), but it was quite cozy, and the bed was very comfortable. Thanks for the hospitality, Christine!

    Theresa2017-08-14T00:00:00Z
  • This is my favorite air bnb so far and I have stayed in many air bnb, both pricey and budget. It is exactly as pictured. A small cozy getaway in the woods. Very comfortable with modern amenities. It is ideal for a short getaway which was the purpose of my stay. It is of course a trailer so it may not be for everyone but if you enjoy camping and being in the woods, you will enjoy this cozy little home. I loved the extra finishing touches like fresh clean seeming towels (the simple pleasures), snacks, chocolate, teas and coffees. All these made me feel very welcome.

    AshleyAntonia2017-08-10T00:00:00Z
  • The airstream was really cozy and comfortable for two people. Check-in was easy and the directions were great, no way to get lost with them. It was also very clean other than in the morning there were ants in the kitchen area. Definitely a fun experience though.

    Maiju2017-05-18T00:00:00Z
  • Christine thought of everything to make this tiny space functional and comfortable. The bed was outstandingly cozy, and Christine was lightening fast in her response to my questions. Great host, great space, great price!

  • This house is a jewel! We loved all the little extra amenities Cindy provided: thick towels, throws, a pond with a duck, games, big coffee cups, fully supplied kitchen, etc, etc, etc. We loved it! Wish we could have stayed longer.

    Pamela2015-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • We had an wonderful stay at Cindy's A-frame. She was a truly gracious host and even forgave some of my ineptitudes using the site to book the stay. The A-frame was perfect for our stay. Clean, comfortable, peaceful. My family was able to get together for a reunion after not seeing each other for almost five years. We had a BBQ on the deck and were able to spend some quality time in a serene setting before sending my brother off to the Peace Corps. I couldn't be happier with the stay or Cindy for being such a wonderful host.

    Seth2016-06-13T00:00:00Z
  • This is one of those places that is all about expectations. If you expect a full-fledged house, you may be disappointed. If you expect a bare-bones cabin, you will be pleasantly surprised. For us — a couple taking a trip down the coast and needing an affordable place to lay our heads that was not too far from Highway 101 — this was the perfect spot. The A-frame is well-appointed for short stays and had everything we needed. The bed was comfortable and the new bathroom was quite satisfactory, complete with complimentary toiletries. The cabin is also priced fairly, and the value would be even greater for a family. Cindy was communicative and generous. Our whole experience was a happy one.

    Stephen2013-08-29T00:00:00Z
  • Goodness, I don't even know where to start. I don't know how anything I could say could do this place and this host any real justice! I work for Airbnb customer service, so I knew from the moment I inquired that this was the place I wanted to stay and that it was going to be a good one... Cindy was extremely amazing and responsive from the very beginning. I couldn't book right away, and she kindly held the dates for me. She made sure that we were prepared and that we had all the info we needed to find the listing to make our stay absolutely amazing. We arrived to find snacks; muffins, bananas, fresh eggs and fixings for breakfast (I loved the pineapple head, super cute!). Very close to Bandon Town Center and Old Town! This was a get away weekend for myself and my boyfriend, but this place is perfect for a nice family get together, it would easily and comfortably accommodate a group of six. This place is filled with natural light, which we absolutely loved!! The back deck was a perfect for relaxing and playing cards and dice, maybe next time we will have to have a BBQ. The kitchen has everything you'll need to make a great meal. The bed was lovely and super comfy. AND THE SHOWER, OHHH THE SHOWER.... I am a sucker for a good shower, and I'm in love with this one, Ahhhh-mazing water pressure and stays warm forever!! Gosh, all these things, but really I just can't put into words how great our stay here was and how amazing Cindy is!! Jeremy and I will certainly stay here again!! We would highly recommend the place to anyone looking to get away from it all and just relax, or to spend time with a small group of friends or family!! This place is a great deal, really its a steal, and was just as described, if not 10 times better!!! I promise, if you stay here you will enjoy yourself! Thank you for everything Cindy, you are amazing, we loved our stay!! If I could give more than 5 stars I would!!! ~ Brittany & Jeremy

    Brittany2013-09-23T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely stay at the A-Frame. It was very clean, comfortable and had many nice touches like DVDs and games for the kids, a well-stocked kitchen and muffins and juice to welcome us. Cindy let us know ahead of time the things that might be dangerous for our small children (ages 3&5), like steep stairs and a pond on the property, which we appreciated. One of the doors did not lock and her brother responded immediately and fixed it within a few hours. The location is just a few minutes from the downtown area and beaches. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there and would recommend it to anyone!

    Jessica2015-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • My partner, our 1 1/2 yr old boxer pup and myself spent four wonderful nights at this A-frame. I had business meetings in Bandon and Gold Beach and this home was the perfect basecamp. We loved the huge grassy yard for our dog, the large deck off the kitchen (deck is gated) where you can soak up the sun and let the dog play. We live in Yachats and feel fortunate to fall asleep each night with the sounds of the surf. It was nice for a change to experience the total lack of sounds except of nature - birds, a rooster far away, frogs, etc. Nights were so very quiet. If you are seeking a quiet, semi-secluded getaway this is it! If you want to mix your getaway with work like I had to, this is also a great place. WiFi is reliable. Home is not fancy (nor is the price) but is it equipped with everything you will need to cook meals and to relax. Lots of space in the home. There were just the two of us but beds for 6 total plus 2 futons. One half bath down; full, newly remodeled full bathroom upstairs with a wonderful shower! We will be back!

    Donna2014-04-17T00:00:00Z
  • What a wonderful, cozy house! We had the privilege of making this our home for the weekend of Cape Blanco Country Music Festival, and even though it was a drive to get back and forth, it was totally worth it. It was so nice coming back to a comfortable bed where it was warm. Cindy was not in town the weekend we stayed but her brother Rick was there to offer us anything we needed. He was very kind and welcoming! I would definitely recommend staying here to anyone and I know we will return someday :)

The Troll room has windows overlooking the forest, with strong morning light to wake you up! The queen bed is a quintessential Swedish cubby bed, which you must climb up into.
Please note that the stairs to the second story are a bit narrow and steep, as is common with older homes. The stairs were built by a Swedish sailor... very steep and not for the weak-kneed!
Prosper Village is a quiet, natural area with wildlife and other vacationers. Noise Ordinance prohibits noise outside after sundown.
  • Fist of all. It was quiet and the bed was marvelous! We slept very well in the little nook. We arrived late but within the check in time frame. We were given good directions. However, when We arrived, we were locked out and the host was unreachable. We finally knocked loudly and woke someone to let us in. We were told that the host was at one of the other houses. We were traveling on a motorcycle and the road was a little rough for a big touring bike. The room was clean for the most part (a few spider webs and a little dust in the corners). The home is quite old but decorated tastefully. Our room was a little rough. The lap siding ceiling and walls had pretty wide gaps and made my wife a little bit leary. She spotted a couple of bugs and some webs in the corners so bug o phones be aware. Overall, It worked for us but we would probably stay elsewhere next time.

    Allen2017-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • Very cozy home with nice room. We loved the little cubby bed! Only stayed for one night but it was great. Make sure you do get directions first because gps most likely won't get you there. Close to highway but in secluded area. Beautiful!

    Monica2017-08-15T00:00:00Z
  • The Troll room fulfilled my childhood dream of sleeping in an attic cubby bed (odd dream, I know). There is an adjoining bathroom, two beds, and a table available in the room. Finding the place proved tricky because the house doesn't have a number on it, but the host responded to us with further direction in a timely manner.

    Marina2017-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • Christine's place is a cozy Swedish house furnished with antique furnitures full of old charms yet equiped with 5 star hotel linens, it's surrounded by quiet nature, only about 5 minute drive to Bandon old town. There are few different rooms in the house are rented out, this troll room has its own bathroom, very clean definitely up to Swedish standard. We will stay here again next time visiting Bandon.

    Liu2017-09-24T00:00:00Z
  • This is a little gem tucked in near the river. There was an issue with the shower but I am sure it has been remedied. Two great old houses each with its own character. Well appointed. Super comfy bed in the nook. Good coffee. I enjoyed conversing with the other guests in the house. I never met Christine.

    Jennifer2017-08-29T00:00:00Z
  • This is an awesome and unique place to stay near the coast. Loved the cubby bed for something different, and it was SUPER comfortable too. This would be a great place to spend a few nights as there is a cozy main floor available to guests in addition to the bedrooms. Highly recommend this place, we would absolutely stay again!

A warm and bright 1928 Craftsman style home 5 minute walk from downtown Coquille in the picturesque Coquille Valley. Coquille is 25 minutes from the beautiful Oregon Coast where you can visit Bandon, Oregon and golf the world class Bandon Dunes Golf Course. We are situated on 1.5 acres in town. The property has beautiful mature landscaping which can be viewed from your private picture window. You are welcome to relax around our beach fire pit (we would be happy to build the fire for you). Your large 250 sqft private room has a private entrance with a private bathroom (shower). You will have access to a private fridge. The rest of the home is occupied by my wife and I along with our daughter. You will need to make special arrangements for the kitchen. Your room will have coffee, microwave, and some fresh fruits/snacks. Additional guests can/may be accommodated. Please don't hesitate to ask. We can get creative. For instance, your children might enjoy tent camping on our beach next to the fire. Additional lodging fees might be applied. Our home and property is non-smoking. Unfortunately we cannot accommodate your four legged family members.
We are 25 minutes from the world famous Bandon Dunes Golf Course. We are in our own valley free from typical coastal weather. The most beautiful stretch of Oregon Coastline begins in Bandon and South of Bandon. The Oregon Dunes Recreational areas are less than 40 minutes from Coquille. Absolutely beautiful part of Oregon right here in the Coquille Valley!
We are the first home of a series of old craftsman style homes on our street. Our street is a dead end. Parking on the street is allowed only on one side. Our driveway is large. Please park in our driveway. We have very friendly neighbors who all keep an eye out for each other. We are a very safe neighborhood.
  • Simply put: this type of place is why AirBNB works. We loved everything our hosts did here to make our stay comfortable. Our only regret is not arriving sooner and taking advantage of the offer to sit by the fire pit. Regardless we loved loved loved our stay here!

  • Sam and Lovena have a wonderful setup for Airbnb guests. Sam showed us around and let us do our laundry, which we were extremely grateful for. The room is attached to the house, but you have a separate entrance and a private bathroom. There was a tv with Netflix and Hulu, which we really appreciated after a long day of traveling. The room also came with a keurig and a microwave, and they left out several light snacks and travel sized essentials. We were so comfortable here and had a great experience. Would love to stay again!

We didn't have enough time to fully experience the 1.5 acre property and we couldn't sit by the fire because of fire season, but I can imagine those things just make this place even more amazing than it already was! It was attached to the main home, but I felt like we had tons of privacy! When we first arrived, Sam was so helpful and kind and he even gave us some chairs to use on the beach. Tons or snacks and supplies...all in all, a wonderful experience.

  • We felt honored to be Sam and Lovena’s first “inaugural” visitors to their newly established Airbnb. They are a lovely couple and truly went out of their way to make us feel welcomed. They even offered to have a fire built in the outdoor firepit waiting for us to relax around upon our arrival. We had our own private cottage complete with all the essentials and amenities for our comfort. Bathroom toiletries, breakfast and snack goodies were plentiful and well thought out. Beautiful grounds, and even a sandy beach offered sanctuary spaces to relax in after a long day’s drive. On our way out of town we encountered a ‘road block’ (landslide) that our GPS didn’t pick up. As a volunteer fireman, we knew Sam would be aware of all the ins and outs of the area roads. We called for direction assistance for a way around and he kindly gave us alternative directions to get us on our way. Turned out to be a blessing as the ‘back road’ was a lovely diversion we would not normally have encountered. Thank you Sam and Lovena for making this part of our journey most enjoyable and memorable. Best of luck to you.

  • Beautiful, clean, they thought of everything.

  • Sam and Lovena are awesome hosts. I felt like we stayed in our home away from home for the night and had the best night's sleep! Sam greeted us, showed us around our room and made us feel like family. Comfortable bed, lots of thoughtful extras in the fridge, snacks and coffee + 1/2 and 1/2 in the morning made my day. I'm still doing a happy dance. Great value and exceptional experience.

1907 Swedish wooden home has wifi, sleeps 8 adults. This historic home has a cozy wood stove plus central heating. Full kitchen with dishwasher, oven, microwave, and Keurig coffeemaker. Decorated with Swedish artifacts and photographs of the home's historic origins.
3 bedroom: one king bedroom with private bath, second room with twin and queen cubby bed and private bath, third bedroom with twin bed, half bath off the hallway. Living room has a comfy pullout sofa with memory foam mattress topper that sleeps two. Pets Stay Free! FREE Wifi. Electric heat and woodstove. Please note that the stairs to the second story are a bit narrow and steep, as is common with older homes. Swedish House History: In 1899, Swedish sailor Axel Sandstrom had just arrived in San Francisco harbor from Sweden. He was immediately shanghaied and spent the next three years in the arctic on a whaling ship. He was only able to get one letter to his wife, who was still in Sweden. When he managed to return to San Francisco, he boarded the vessel Onward, which wrecked on the Coquille River bar. Axel swam ashore, built this saltbox house, and sent for his wife. They raised their family here on the beautiful Oregon coast, and that is the dramatic adventure that is the origin story of the Swedish Saltbox House. The house was never substantially remodeled, and today has original wood shiplap walls and wavy-glass windows. The south-facing porch has been converted into a sunroom. My favorite part of the house is the high-end king sized bed upstairs, or is it the tiny bedroom downstairs off the kitchen, with windows that look out on the babbling creek and fenced yard? Two bedrooms upstairs have their own ensuite bathrooms. There is another bedroom and bathroom downstairs. A woodstove keeps the house cozy warm, even when a howling winter storm knocks out the power just long enough for you to imagine you're back in 1907! There are also central heat, if you don't feel like making a fire. A 5 minute drive past cranberry bogs takes you to restaurants, grocery stores, and world-class golf, as well as horseback riding, charter fishing, glass blowing demonstrations, art museums, and our wonderful little live theater.
I love the honesty and natural setting of our neighborhood. We are lucky enough to have collected four antique homes in a row in our neighborhood, so when you stay in Prosper Village, folks in the other homes are vacationers as well, often from all over the world. I love the sounds of bald eagles, great blue herons, water gurgling past in the stream and lapping against the shore when a boat goes by. At night there are owls, frogs, and a million stars overhead.
  • This place is a treasure! When we walked in we were blown away by how cozy, quaint, and comfortable the house was. It exceeded our expectations, for sure! The king size bed was SOOOO comfortable!!! I slept like a rock and didnt wake once. (For a 7 month pregnant woman, that is saying a lot.) We didn't want to leave... ever! Christine was wonderful, kind, and patient. We had a hard time finding the place and she was very helpful. We also neglected to note the 11am checkout time, and she was so flexible with us. The house is tucked away but close to Bandon, where we witnessed an incredible sunset. We look forward to returning with our families. We want everyone to get a chance to experience this place!

    Antoinette2013-12-31T00:00:00Z
  • This was our second time staying at Christine's little bundle of homes. We loved the charm of the houses and the secluded area. The city of Bandon is only about a ten minute drive, so the location is really just perfect. The Swedish house has lots of beds that are very comfortable. It's wintertime and the house takes an ample amount of time to heat up, so I suggest starting a fire right away and check for bugs, we found a few that wanted to stay warm inside and I almost walked my face right into a spiders web going up the stairs. Check-in was really easy and Christine was a helpful host whenever we had to exchange messages. (pro-tip: stay in the Norwegian House if possible, that has been by far our favorite!)

    Ainsley2017-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • Our overall experience was disappointment. The pictures of the home were misleading. We rented the entire home, well guess what.....that's not the case. There is a man that we didn't know about or meet that stays in a room at the house ( house manager) . The listed owners husband was always hanging out in the connected garage or walking around the outside side of the house. NO PRIVACY! Pet friendly they say... not! If your dog barks you won't be welcome and you will here about it.

    Tina2016-12-26T00:00:00Z
  • The Swedish House was perfect for our trip. We had two small children traveling with us and they loved all the toys and especially the dollhouse. The robes provided with all the bathrooms are a nice comfort to have. It was a little rustic with all the comforts of home. Would definitely stay here again.

    Tara2016-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • The Swedish house is awesome! THis is totally a cool rustic stay that is a nice distance from Bandon. It was cool to be able to go into Bandon, hang out and then have a short drive back to the house. The house it self was great! I mean when the sun started shining into the sunroom, it warmed up and you could enjoy your coffee on the (URL HIDDEN) the winter mind you. It was also great to have a wood stove and a space to make a full meal. Next time I can make it down to Bandon I would totally stay in this house again!

    Stephen 2013-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time. Very cute and unique house. Really enjoyed the book of history and information that was in the house. Would love to come back some day!

    Matthew2016-11-08T00:00:00Z
  • This is the perfect little pad with the Swedish flair. Wonderful host - genuinely took all the time for the perfect extra touches. We had perfect bedding, ambient temperatures and fluffy pillows. She even left a chocolate on the pillow and a little bowl of snacks. We have a taller, larger family and some of the home ceilings follow the roof line making it a little harder for us over 5'8". She absolutely didn't invade our privacy or interfere with us at all.

    Diane2017-05-20T00:00:00Z
  • Christine was so helpful and responded so quickly to my texts. Very pleasant!!!! The Swedish House is beautiful!!!! It was very quiet, clean, cozy, and close to town. I will stay there anytime I go back that way. Pat the onsite manager was very helpful and always available. He responded quickly to me via text when I had trouble starting a fire. He got the fire going and was very pleasant.

Country cottage in park-like 5 acre setting with lots of trees, just 2 miles outside of town, easy drive from Coos Bay. Short 35 min to Bandon - far enough inland to avoid the wind and fog. Get away from summer heat to the Oregon coast. Enjoy afternoon breezes on the porch and watch the kids play in the yard. Take time to unplug, but with 4G cell service for Verizon. Large windows and patio door provide an open yet cozy feel in 1400 sq ft home. Master separated from other bedrooms.
Absolutely NO SMOKING (see house rules). Typical daytime weather is 70s and sunny in the summer, 50s in the winter. A nice ocean breeze in the afternoon. For those rare days over 80, the house has ceiling fans in the living room, kitchen, and master bedroom. Almost no rain from June through September, so plan on lots of outdoor activities. Single story, comfortable home with 3 bedrooms and open concept living/dining/kitchen area. Wood and laminate floors throughout. No steps and concrete covered walkway from driveway to porch accommodates seniors, and makes it a breeze to wheel in luggage. There is a large TV and a small video library for your entertainment needs, along with board games, books, cards, puzzles, as well as a Portable radio/CD player. Fire up the wood-burning stove for extra heat when unwinding on the couches after a long day of exploring the coast, fishing, or hiking the woods. Portable fan, blankets, pillows, inflatable mattresses, and extra bedding are in the closet. The white kitchen offers an abundance of counterspace and everything you'll need to prepare a delicious meal, with stove, microwave, refrigerator, drip coffee pot, toaster oven, popcorn popper, dishes, pans, utensils, and dish soap. Just bring the groceries! Seating for 4 around the table, and 3 at the counter. The cottage has a large covered porch with a porch swing, plenty of seating, outdoor table and a gas grill available for your use (charcoal grill available too). Also a fire pit (chiminea) for evening roasting of marshmallows and making smores (when allowed by fire restrictions). Desk with room for a laptop and 6 USB chargers in living room for all your devices. The bathrooms are supplied with a shower/tub, hairdryer, clean towels, shampoo, conditioner, bodywash, soaps. Pets are subject to approval. Please contact owner and tell about your pet before booking.
This is a country setting outside of a small town, with friendly people everywhere you go. Myrtle Point is a historical small town but has most of what you need: a well-stocked grocery store, drive-through coffee, several restaurants, hardware stores, gas station, liquor store, and banks with ATMs. It is easy to explore the coast, go to Bandon for a day at the beach, go for a hike in the woods, go fishing in the Coquille River (known for Salmon), play golf at Bandon Dunes Resort, go crabbing or clamming in Coos Bay, ride dune buggies on the Dunes, or take the kids to the Wildlife park. Return to the house for a barbecue dinner, movies and popcorn. The kids can pitch a tent in the yard, if they don't mind the occasional deer or raccoon wandering through. The neighbor has chickens and roosters, and they sometimes roam into the yard.
  • If you're looking for a great country house, this is absolutely the place to be. It comes complete with roosters in the morning, which is a nice touch. The house is a great size to fit a family or a group of friends. And it's a very cool house. Well decorated, well maintained. The location isn't overly isolated. 2 miles away there is a convenience store and a few other shops, in case you need to grab something quickly. The drive from Coos Bay is very nice. We made the trip in and out of the city about 4-5 times over the weekend. I can not say enough about how great of a host Linda is. Very welcoming, very helpful and offers great recommendations. On a side note, but an important note, we were very impressed by her character. She offered insight that was particularly apt to our group that showed a sense of cultural and societal recognition. This was a boys trip with a few colleagues getting together to ride dune buggy's in the sand dunes and then watch the eclipse. I have this home high on my list for when I want to bring the family back and spend a little more time in the country. Be sure to sign the guest book and take good care of the home if you stay there.

  • The perfect family vacation home. Close enough to the beach for some fun and yet far enough out for a little privacy. Can't wait to come back!

    Chris2017-09-10T00:00:00Z
  • This home is so comfortable. Linda left a basket full of fruit and goodies and a bottle of wine that makes it even more welcoming. I've never experienced with an AirBNB before and thought that was the sweetest thing ever. I was there recuperating from surgery and the quiet country location was what I needed. It made me wish I was a writer though- it would be perfect for writing. There's a garden, a great outdoor sitting area, a grill. Linda is quick to warn you that it is the country - with a rooster and all! But I sleep with a fan and I was raised on a ranch, so the rooster was not a problem for me at all!!! I feared that it was "too far out" at first but then found that Myrtle Point had everything I would need for quick stuff - even a drive thru coffee place! And Linda's suggestion for day out to Bandon should definitely be taken! Linda is also very quick to respond with any questions or concerns. Checkin was quick and easy.

    Maggie2017-09-04T00:00:00Z
  • Linda's cottage was perfect! A great tucked away location where you can enjoy the forest around you, but also close enough to town you don't feel secluded. Linda is a great host and very welcoming. I would definitely stay here again!

    Jenessa2017-09-25T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our stay in this charming older home in a relatively peaceful country setting. Linda is a warm and thoughful host, who was always available when needed, but gave us a great deal of privacy. Although it was very secluded, it was just a few minutes away from Myrtle Point and the highway. The price is very reasonable for a party of four to six, with three really nice bedrooms, one designed for a child. We would stay there again. Thank you, Linda! We felt very much at home.

    Mark2017-08-10T00:00:00Z
  • This is an older home but don't let that fool you. It has plenty of places to sleep and enough room to cook family meals before and after visiting local attractions. For those with kids that like to take long showers this place can teach the benefits of being quick. The water is on a well which means limited hot water but we were able to have all 7 of us take a shower with hot water so it isn't too bad, just a reality check coming from the instant hot water at our house. Check in was a breeze. Their are plenty of older movies for the VCR and a DVD player is available if you want. Waking up to roosters crowing and the sounds of nature was very relaxing. This is close to Bandon for their petting zoo, but further from other big towns so a bit of driving is in order if you like that. Choose this place if you want relaxing for a good price.

Other favorites include cranberry scones, Blueberry Oatmeal Breakfast Bake or homemade granola.
We live in a quiet, gated neighborhood with a front row view to the Pacific Ocean. Once you cross the bridge onto our property only a couple distant homes can be seen. You will be amazed by the beauty surrounding you. Several wooded areas surround our home & are frequented by wildlife. You will reach our abode after driving approximately 1/2 mile down a gravel road; don't forget to watch for the wild turkeys. Please be aware that there is limited or no cell service in our area, but you are welcome to connect to the WiFi in our home.
  • Wonderful spot just outside Bandon. Sandi and Craig are so hospitable and have given great attention to detail. They were very helpful with tips on things to do, restaurants, etc. The rooms were comfortable and quiet. And then there is the beach...fabulous views from the upstairs sitting room and about a 1 minute walk from the house. Wouldn't hesitate to return or recommend.

  • Such a special place and wonderful hosts! We enjoyed every aspect of our stay. The beach front property is breathtaking and the town of Bandon quaint and close. A great experience, highly recommended!

  • We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at "The View"! We felt like we had a gorgeous private beach all to ourselves. We loved the tide pools, creek, beach and wild life-even saw a whale! Watching the waves crashing in while sitting in the comfort of the living room with it's huge windows, cosy fire, and sipping on a latte was wonderful. We also enjoyed the fun shops in Bandon and especially the famous 'sipping caramel'. :) Craig and Sandi are friendly and inviting-very knowledgable about things to do but also let us have our privacy. We will definitely be back to play on your wonderful beach and check out the antique shops in Coosbay this summer. Awesome place and great memories made! Also-bed was super comfy and linens luxurious!

  • We really only need to use one word to describe Craig & Sandi, their home and property: AMAZING! The guest quarters are comfortable, private and roomy. EASY access to the beach. Oh...the BEACH! In 3.5 days we saw maybe a total of ten other people on the beach! The agate hunting was good and we saw many starfish at low tide. Sandi's breakfasts were amazing and I appreciate her making two different entrees because I do not eat seafood but hubby loves it! It's about a 10 - 15 minute drive into Bandon, so even though you drive a mile down a gravel road to reach this hideaway, you are close to the many options Bandon has to offer. (Make sure you eat at Angelo's!!) Craig and Sandi are personable, friendly hosts offering as much interaction as you want. We will definitely be returning soon as we're only 2.5 hours away and we love Bandon. (Sorry Bandon hotels, you just lost a customer!) Thank you Craig & Sandi, we truly loved everything about you both and your home!

Sandi and Craig have thought of everything and their attention to detail made our two-day stay as perfect as any place I've stayed. I will return to Bandon and to The View on Agate Lane.

  • The View was a fantastic getaway for us. The property was great as expected but the location far exceeded our expectations. The photos just can't show how beautiful the property is. Being on the beach was fabulous. And the hosts were wonderful. Our Breakfasts were superb and there's lots of info about the surrounding area.

  • This was the best airbnb experience we have had so far. Craig & Sandi welcomed us with smiles, cookies and the perfect spot for beach lovers. They prepared a delicious breakfast for us each day. Sandi and Craig have a gift for hospitality and we can't wait to visit again. Their house is not far from town and their suggestions for dinner were perfect.

Cozy old rustic Teeny Kabin is nestled in the woods on 5 acres property. Park-like settings with trails throughout, surrounded only by whispering trees, distant roar of the Ocean waves and the nights so dark you can count the stars in the Milky Way.
This cabin was originally built in 1934 as a hunters getaway when this area was nothing but timberland and hunting grounds. After all the updates throughout the years it's still has that nostalgic rustic flavor. There is a full size bed on the ground floor. The other full size bed is up on the loft and to be used as a day bed (no linens). Fully equipped kitchen and a bathroom.
We are located at the end of a very quiet street. The property is bordering a county park (no access though) and a large unoccupied private properties.
  • Very cute and cosy cottage in the woods. Great location and comfortable beds. Tanya the host is very friendly but wifi is a problem. To use wifi we had to sit in our car down the track from the cabin. This was frustrating for us as we needed to book ahead new accommodation for our trip. If you don't need wifi it is a great place.

    Sherridan2016-08-10T00:00:00Z
  • Tanya was very warm and happy hearted. Amazing little cabin with a beautiful view, gorgeous, and peaceful. Our first AIRBNB and not our last.

    Heather2016-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed the cabin. Tanya has thought of everything.

  • Very beautiful spot. Tanya has great taste and it was a wonderful experience for us. We stayed near Bandon to do other stuff but our favorite time spent was at the cabin relaxing and enjoying the very cozy cabin and the environment around it.

  • The Teeny Cabin is truly a magical place. I felt like I was in an adult fairy fort. The decor is tasteful and inviting. Tanya keeps it very clean. I woke up surrounded by big windows full of trees. Teeny cabin is where adult accommodations meet inner child imagination. I'll definitely be back.

    Brooke2016-07-09T00:00:00Z
  • So we just finished a Pacific Northwest vacation, staying in many Airbnb properties along the way. Tanya's Teeny Kabin was by far our favorite of the bunch! If you have ever wondered what it would be like to stay in a tiny house this property is for you! While we did not get a chance to meet Tanya she was very easy to communicate with and located only a stone's throw from the cabin. She has done a wonderful job outfitting this cabin with all the amenities...The entire cabin is clean and comfortable. Since the property is somewhat remote (although not far from town) we opted to pick up some meat/cheese/wine from an area store and enjoy the property for dinner. We could not have been happier with our choice! The little dining table is perfect for two people and we had everything we needed for a great night. I would only offer two comments...Tanya has you park about 50 ft. from the cabin so if you have a large suitcase it will be a little haul across uneven ground. The other is that the cabin's wood stove is right in the middle of the floor space ( a testament to the cabin's past as a hunting cabin) which may be tricky to navigate in the dark. Neither of these comments should be construed as negative by any means. The property is worth it! Do not pass up this (URL HIDDEN) is a memorable one!

  • The house is nice and the surroundings are great! we were in a road trip and we couldn't stay longer but we wanted! the beach is really close and it's wild. Is perfect for scape with friends or family, at least a week!!

  • Was a perfect place for a weekend getaway. Only one master bedroom and one bathroom make it more ideal for families, however, it fit our needs perfectly and was just the right size for a couple and some friends.

  • Awesome!! There's no other way to explain how our stay was there. We had a wonderful time. So peaceful and quiet.. We didn't need a thing while we were there. Everything was as it was supposed to be. Clean, comfortable and peaceful. We will stay there again for sure:-)

  • What a gem of a find. Great place for the money. We had everything we needed for cooking meals. Plenty of pots pans dishes etc. Plenty of room and we truly enjoyed our stay!!!!

Norwegian Ship Captain's house has free Wifi and sleeps 6 adults with 2 King and one queen bed. This spacious home boasts a Claw-foot tub, original kitchen cupboards/counter, oven and stove, microwave, full size refrigerator and fully fenced yard.
Just a few minutes from Bandon Dunes Golf Course and beautiful Bandon-by-the-Sea, this lovely home from the past features free WiFi, cable t.v., and sleeps 6 adults in three bedrooms. The Norwegian House is a circa 1900 hand-built two story wood home in Prosper Village, Oregon (5 minutes from the tourist town of Bandon and Bandon Dunes Golf Course). It features original walls, windows, and floors. Original hand crafted kitchen cabinets and counter tops are still in place. Each room has a cozy new portable oil heater, and you can build a fire in the woodstove as well. Bandon never gets too cold or too hot, so you will be comfortable! Prosper Village was populated around 1890 by Scandinavian and European fishermen, boat builders, gold miners, and loggers. It had a school, a post office, and a store. Now it is a beautiful, sleepy collection of old homes on the Coquille River that survived the 1936 firestorm that leveled the city of Bandon. All adult beds have duck duvet comforters with high thread count sheets. We have selected vintage and antique furniture with a Norwegian sensibility to complement the house's style. Modern amenities include coffee maker, range and oven, refrigerator, microwave, and indoor bathroom!
  • When we arrived, we were met by the caretaker who let us know that there were problems with the electrical circuits in the Norwegian House. He offered us the Swedish House instead. So this is not a review of the Norwegian House. The Swedish House (also available through Airbnb) was an interesting place to stay. Except for some modernization for convenience, it retains the look and feel of the house as it was originally built. The spirit of the builder, Axil Sandstrom, whose pictures are on the walls, is very much evident. The location - out in the country and across the road from the river - was very quiet and peaceful. It was a great spot for our day trips south to the Redwoods and up and down the coast. We prepared all our meals at the house and the kitchen provided us everything we need (except for the food itself). We enjoyed our stay

    Marilyn2014-07-13T00:00:00Z
  • We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Norwegian House. We fished & crabbed off the pier. The kids found a salamander to "rescue" the "release back into the wild". We ate blackberries that tasted like candy. We explored the area, especially loving the wild animal park south of Bandon. The Cranberry Sweets shop in Old Town is a must. The house itself was charming, warm and cozy. When we arrived it was cold but warmed up quickly with a fire and a few space heaters, then it was toasty warm the rest of our stay. The kitchen was sparse but suited our needs, could use a new countertop. The beds were comfortable enough. The washer/dryer were a huge help as we'd been on the road for a few days. Overall we had a good time and stayed dry in this old sweet cottage/cabin just off the river.

  • Really nice old, clean house in deep forest. Leave us good memories! Host is kindly man~

  • Christine was very nice and easy to coordinate with. The house had a lot of character and we didn't have any issues (although it does get quite warm at night in the bedrooms upstairs). A very convenient place to stay if you want to golf at Bandon and want to pay a lot less than staying at the lodge.

    Charlie2015-07-06T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful experience. The house was very unique, lots of character, and very clean. thank you for you care for us!! sincerely, Jeremiah

  • The Norwegian house was totally lovely, I only wish Russ and I could have stayed longer. It was a beautiful, well kept home and we appreciated all the recommendations Christine left for us on where to eat. The wood stove gave the whole experience a rustic, warm feel (literally) and we adored the comfy bed. Easy access to the house as well!

    Shannon2016-06-21T00:00:00Z
  • The house is lovely and very well equipped. We stayed one night on our road trip from OR to San Francisco. Since there were four of us (my parents, my brother and I), this house was great, as we all got separate bedrooms and very cozy beds. It was wonderful to see how clean and well kept it is. It is also very close to Bandon...definitely want to come back!

    claudia2016-05-29T00:00:00Z
  • Charming, clean and delightful places to stay. Christine and her husband are great, accommodating hosts. We were staying in Norwegian House when it developed plumbing problems and they immediately moved us to the charming Irish House. Wonderful dock, wonderful stay!

  • How do you begin when someone has just shared a piece of heaven with you! Our first Airbnb and the bar has been set very high! We were in awe the moment we hit the driveway, the stunning gardens and home were just the beginning. Not only did we share unbelievable good meals but we shared LIFE! Their farm is adorable and their two German Shepherds. Margaret was a pleasure to spend time also. Only wish we could go back and WWOOF!!!!!!! John and Leslie

  • Had a fabulous stay. We were doing a trip down the coast so arrived later in the evening as got waylaid by all the wonderful scenery on route. Off the beaten track, but well worth the drive! Had booked for one night and wish we'd been able to stay longer. Lovely hosts, really relaxed and chilled out environment. Great conversation over breakfast. Also lovely friendly dogs. Wanted to take Tilly with us :)

  • During my Road Trip from Seattle to San Francisco, this was a most enjoyable stay.

    Markus2017-03-19T00:00:00Z
  • My 14 year old daughter and I recently spent 3 wonderful nights at the Myrtle Glen Farm and consider it one of the highlights of our 10 day road trip. We both felt warmly welcomed and comfortable to roam around the beautiful property, delighting in the funny animals, picking fruit, and hiking up in the forest. I was very interested in the farm life and little community Dan and Micha had created with their interesting and friendly farm interns and I had many questions that were always happily answered. The food was fantastic (we had two dinners and a breakfast while there), all the more enjoyable knowing that most of it came from right outside the door. I also really appreciated being able to expose my daughter to such a unique and peaceful way of life, one which was happily shared with us for three days.

    Emily2015-07-21T00:00:00Z
  • I can't really speak more highly of this stay. Dan and Micha are a lovely young couple, and their farm is amazing. We arrived later than we'd hoped for, but our comms with them were very good and when we arrived a fantastic meal had been prepared with tasty fresh vegetables from the farm and Salmon caught in a nearby river. The house smells wonderful from all the herbs and spices stored or hung to dry. The next morning I went for a run with one of the three dogs who are all friendly before bidding farewell. I would definitely not hesitate to book again and strongly recommend the experience

  • Property was great! Pictures do not give the house and landscaping justice. The house is in a quiet neighborhood, a pretty two-mile walk to the beach and lots of fun amenities! Had to make a call the first day with a question and the co-owner was friendly and helpful. Checking in/out was easy with clear instructions. Will definitely stay here again and recommend this property!

  • Accurate description; pictures don't do the property justice. Beautiful home well suited for a large gathering (or a small group who just wants to sprawl out luxuriously!). Great location for any season with an ample amount of indoor space and a large back deck with wrap-around porch. The only gripe I have is that we didn't have enough time to enjoy the hot tub! Thank you Mark for being such an agreeable and amenable host!

    Isaac2014-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • The house is fantastic for 4 families traveling together for a fourth of July getaway. everything is prepared including laundry detergent. Kitchen is huge enough to make a 15-person meal. The only problem we have is the hot tub. Mark is prompt when we contacted and provide necessary workaround to us. Overall, it is a very pleasant stay. Highly recommended.

  • We were visiting my family in Coquille and were pleasantly surprised by this gem! Me, my husband, and our two year old daughter stayed for 4 nights and couldn't have been happier with the arrangement. We had to go through and baby proof parts of the home (lifting up breakable art, tying up strings on the blinds, putting up the provided babygate) but after that (which took 5 minutes), the house was well equipped to handle a toddler running around! We spent our meals split between my in-law's house and this home. When we did eat here, it easily accomdiated 7 of us. The landscaping was beautiful and we really enjoyed strolling around. Couldn't have ask or expected a better place, especailly in Coquille! Thanks, Lisa, for being such a wonderful host. If you happen to still own the host next visit then we'll be booking with you again.
