  • Evan was a great host and deserves more than a 5 star review!!!The house is extremely beautiful and inviting. Even the pictures don't do it any justice. If we had any questions or concerns Evan responded in a very timely manner. I would recommend this place to anyone

  • Great Place Tuck-ta-way in the trees, very calm quiet and peaceful.

    Thomas2017-05-10T00:00:00Z
  • Evan's place was the perfect spot for my wife and I while we neared the end of a two week east coast vacation. The house was secluded and on a beautiful piece of land. The inside of the house was very spacious and clean. Everything was perfect and I would definitely recommend this place to any traveler. Evan was also a great host and was a wonderful communicator and always was quick to reply to our questions/needs.

    Brad2016-10-19T00:00:00Z
  • A great get away from the city. Beautiful setting!

    Madeline2016-11-13T00:00:00Z
  • My husband I were a little uncomfortable with the idea of booking a room in someone's home, but we need not have worried. Evan's lodge is quiet, secluded and private. We were able to effectively communicate via messages, and Evan was very unobtrusive. We just needed a place nearby to sleep after moving out and cleaning our home before closing, and we feel like we really lucked out. The king bedroom was so comfortable, the house in the woods was charming, and the price was most reasonable. We would recommend it to anyone staying in the area. Thanks, Evan!

Located in beautiful, historic Chester County close to Amish country, Longwood Gardens, outlet shopping, and local wineries. Philadelphia is accessible by Amtrak or local commuter rail. Grounds are maintained by the owner of the property (a former landscape designer) which includes ponds, and an interesting variety of plants The location is secluded and very quiet. The private apartment is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers.
The grounds have been completely landscaped by the owner, Tom, who owned his own landscaping business. Guests are free to roam the grounds at their leisure and enjoy the plantings and two ponds. There is also a garden room by a pond where guests can sit and look at the view from the far end of the property. Guests have a deck with outside seating. Our property sits back from the street access which makes it a quiet place to enjoy.
  • The place was clean, private, and the hosts were very accommodating and sweet! The complimentary snacks and bagels & coffee in the morning were a nice surprise. Easy drive to the city. Beautiful yard and quiet neighborhood. Definitely recommend and would stay again!

    Thom2016-09-11T00:00:00Z
  • Thomas and Nancy are very gracious hosts and made us feel very welcome. Their property is gorgeous and relaxing and the landscaping is nothing short of magical. The guest house we stayed in was very clean and comfortable, convenient and had modern comforts like a small kitchen and wifi. They even left out some snacks for us. We were able to get around the area easily from their location. I highly recommend this place and hosts and would love to visit again!

    Brittany2017-08-27T00:00:00Z
  • My girlfriend and I had an amazing time at Thom and Nancy' place. The lodgings themselves were beautiful, private and very thoughtfully stocked with unexpected but very appreciated accoutrements like snacks and pamphlets to local attractions. The grounds were lovingly manicured and offered many wonderful places to read and relax. We would definitely return. Thomas and Nancy are terrific hosts.

  • Soleado was wonderful, restful, and comfortable. Tom and Nancy were wonderful hosts that greeted us with a smile. We will most definitely be back next year for the Plantation Horse Trial and hope to stay here again for many years to come.

    Lauren2016-09-18T00:00:00Z
  • This is my 4th visit to Soleado, and it won't be my last. It is a beautiful garden cottage, with every amenity. And most charming hosts.

    Janet2017-09-23T00:00:00Z
  • This is my 3rd stay at Soleado, & it won't be my last. Thomas & Nancy are very gracious hosts, the cottage & its kitchen are secluded & charming, & the gardens amazing. It doesn't get better! Janet & John, DC

    Janet2017-08-13T00:00:00Z
  • Thomas's place is exactly how it looks. It's set right off of a hill on a spacious property. The grounds are very well kept, and the living space is equally well kept. We liked the propane stove heater to give the space a more rustic feel. Overall, the place was exactly what we expected: something quiet, but not too far away from the attractions in Chester and Delaware counties.

  • Alex and Amanda were wonderful. Everything about the place and their hospitality exceeded my expectations -- it was so perfect for my trip. Amanda surprised us the first night with a great hug and some awesome snacks, and we had the deep serenity and privacy we sought the entire rest of the trip. It was perfection. Would definitely love to stay here again if I'm ever back in the area.

    Ren & Del2016-06-06T00:00:00Z
  • Alex and Amanda have created a peaceful loft that is located in the heart of the beautiful Lancaster countryside. We were in PA to attend the Celtic Fling and Irish Dance feis at Mt. Hope Winery. Amanda made us s'mores and popcorn to welcome us, and her son made my boys a "good luck" sign before we left for the dance competition. We wouldn't have these great memories if we'd just stayed at a boring hotel!

    Kelly2016-06-27T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful loft nestled in Amish farmlands. The space itself is immaculate: clean, comfortable, gorgeous. We spent a few days here over the New Year, and were looking for a quiet place to recharge after the holidays. We cooked a lot; the kitchen has all the basics you need. The Bullfrog Inn was our favorite nearby restaurant. Sweet local towns like Bird in Hand and Paradise are short drives away. Great weekend Amish Markets in Lancaster and Bird in Hand open at 6am! Also, lots of good walking trails in the area---Tucquan Glen Nature Preserve was our favorite. And Amanda and Alex were great throughout, promptly answering questions before we arrived and welcoming us when we got in. This is a perfect, peaceful getaway spot---with plenty of things to do nearby if you get bored.

  • Perfect In every way! Absolutely lovely. We would go back again & again!!!❤️

    Nicole2017-08-08T00:00:00Z
  • Our family was bowled over by the beauty of Amanda and Alex's loft and their warm hospitality. Amanda couldn't be friendlier or more thoughtful. We arrived later than expected, but she still greeted us personally with a treat, quick instructions, and written recommendations for area shopping. The loft itself was immaculate, sunny, tastefully decorated, and well stocked. We were delighted by everything. We chose Amanda and Alex's place as a "home base" for making day trips to Chanticleer Gardens in Wayne, PA (one hour) and Longwood Gardens in Kennett Square, PA (half-hour), but we were also delighted to find ourselves in the heart of (non-commercial) Amish country. We passed several buggies, stopped at roadside farm stands, and drove along Creek Road, which runs along a quiet creek and woods, with no development. We had a wonderful stay and absolutely recommend Amanda and Alex's loft!

    Patricia2016-08-05T00:00:00Z
  • We had the most wonderful time staying in the loft at Jackson Farm and definitely hope to be back soon. The loft was even more beautiful than the pictures - very clean and comfortable. Alex, Amanda and their family were so kind and thoughtful, making sure we had everything we needed and providing us with delicious treats. we couldn't have asked for a better place to stay for the weekend. Thank you so much - this place is one in a million!

    Abbie2016-07-04T00:00:00Z
  • We've had a relaxing weekend at the loft at Jackson Farm. A beautifully appointed, homey, romantic nook in the heart of Lancaster County. Quietly tucked in the rolling farmland just beyond the bustle of the tourist areas. You can pop out for shopping, local attractions and restaurants, just minutes away, or ignore it all and stay curled up on a comfy sofa by the fire sipping wine with your sweetie. A pastoral view out every window, sure to relax you, no matter the season. Amanda and Alex are amazing hosts and brought us a lovely tray with a variety of goodies from her garden and kitchen -- homemade Concord grape juice, watermelon, pretzels, cheese and chocolate. Yum! We also made a tasty omelet from the fresh brown eggs they left for us. My husband and I are already talking about a winter getaway here, tucked inside with groceries and hot cocoa.

    Trina2016-10-02T00:00:00Z
  • From the moment we walked in we were blown away by the unique characteristics of the beautiful loft they created. From the crystal door knobs to the rustic barn-style door, this by far is our most favorite place we've stayed through Air BnB. The pictures online do not do it justice! Absolutely magnificent! My husband and I are expecting our first daughter and we're looking for a weekend getaway for our "babymoon". It was everything we imagined...quiet, peaceful, relaxing and 15-20 minutes from Kettle Kitchen Village! Great food and shopping! We love taking pictures and the scenery was breathtaking! The little details are what stood out the most. Home made rice crispy treats, fresh flowers, farm fresh eggs, tempurpedic mattress, heated bathroom floors, a great spread of kcups etc. We can't wait to come back soon! If you are looking to visit Lancaster PA, the Loft at Jackson Farm is the place to stay!

  • We such a lovely time here! The room is spacious and comfortable and inviting. It was having own studio apartment. Such a better deal than staying in a hotel or motel... like home! And Jessica and Brett were so welcoming we really enjoyed meeting them .

    Toni2016-10-16T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay at the barn. Jessica and Brett were super hosts. We loved visiting with them and their wonderful son who blew kisses to us! The barn was clean and fresh. Plenty of room, fresh linens, comfy beds, and nice sitting areas. The temperature was good, and we even slept with the windows open. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

  • Great place. Very roomy. Nice hosts. There is a rail-to-trail trail within walking distance. Lots of Amish buggies passing by on the street out front. Even more buggies and Amish scooters if you are willing to walk down to and along to the Lower Valley Road nearby.

  • Jessica's home was very clean, her and her husband were great hosts! 100% recommend this listing, and would be glad to revisit if I ever make it back to Christiana PA!

    Jan2016-10-24T00:00:00Z
  • *Note* This was my first experience using AirBnB. My job brought me to Coatesville for a work related, weekend-long event. I refused to pay what the local hotel was charging; so I turned to AirBnB to find a more affordable option. Two days before my stay, I contacted the host, Jessica, with a few questions about allowing my working K9 (Beau) to stay with me inside the barn. She quickly responded and I booked my two night stay. Upon my arrival, I was greeted by Jessica and her husband, Bret. After exchanging greetings and talking with both of them for a few minutes, I was given a brief tour of the barn and surrounding property. I then unloaded all my luggage and took a quick shower before heading out to a meeting in Coatesville. I got back to the barn later in the evening to find the walkway leading up to the barn lit up with candles. It felt like home. After a early Saturday wake up and a long day at work, I returned to the barn in the early afternoon with the rest of my day open. Being that it felt like I was on a mini-vacation, I stopped at the Victory Brewery (5 mins from the barn) and picked up a few pints to enjoy back at my weekend getaway. After a few adult beverages inside the cozy barn, I took Beau out for a walk and ran into Bret working in the lower garage. Bret and I began chatting which led into a hour long conversation leading up to dinner time. I accepted a generous offer from Bret to join he and Jessica for a homemade cooked meal. The meal was delicious but my conversation with Bret and Jessica was what made my stay. Beau and I did not need much for this trip-all we really needed was a home base and a place to lay our heads at night. What we got was a first hand experience of what is great about mankind. Jessica and Bret are two of the most generous, kindest, good hearted couple I have ever came across in my life. They opened their living space to me and made me feel welcome and at home. I now consider them my friends. Thank you Jessica and Bret. What I liked about the Cozy Barn: It was clean and comfortable. It is nicely secluded and quiet, yet only a short drive to modern conveniences that at (URL HIDDEN) is nice to get away from-McDonald's, Walmart...WaWa. (Although I can never get enough WaWa). If you enjoy craft beer, as mentioned before, Victory Brewery is right down the road from the Barn. It was hot outside during my stay at the barn, the AC inside the barn kept the space nice and cold. The bed was comfortable, and the wifi allowed me to watch a movie on my IPad. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Cozy Barn with Jessica and Bret. I'm hoping for another...

    Nathan2016-08-28T00:00:00Z

    Bernard2016-10-16T00:00:00Z
  • I train horses and I needed a place to stay with my boyfriend near the Equestrian center where I was working. We were really happy with the accommodations so when I needed to returned to work in the same area I decided to go back again. I thought it was great the first time but it was even better the second time. The bed is awesome and I wished I could have stayed in it all day instead of tending to the horses. I read the listing information and didn’t think much about the energy efficiency feature until I walked outside without a coat. I could look out the large windows in the room but I couldn’t tell the temperature. I felt warm and comfortable inside all the time and didn’t think I’d need to bundle up for work. It was winter and I was walking around inside with just socks on my feet. I know when I’m home in the winter I have to wear shoes and even then my feet are cold. If you’re looking for a place to stay check this listing out. I guarantee it will be different from anything you’ve experienced. In addition to being extremely comfortable it’s also a happy place to be. Should my work bring me back to this area, I will make sure to stay here again, it feels like I’m at home.

    Louisa2016-03-17T00:00:00Z
  • We needed a last minute stay on an overnight to pick up a horse trailer being worked on in the area. Our host was extremely good about accommodating us and being in communication throughout our trip down. It was a nice, large space to stay. It could use some decorations and things to look at as it is a basement apartment and a little dark. There were full windows along one side, however, and the beautiful area with the spiral staircase.

    Jerusha2016-07-18T00:00:00Z
  • Quiet, peaceful, and rejuvenating. The Host is concerned about the Guests and really takes great care to make people feel welcome and comfortable.

    Louisa2016-03-28T00:00:00Z
  • Bonnie and Dennis were good hosts, answered questions and replied to texts promptly. The room was as pictured and the bed was very comfy. Staying for a few weeks, it was a good base to go lots of places in Chester and Lancaster Counties, and was really reasonably priced. Its a more basic setting than some. However it was clean and tidy.

    Fran & Tynker2016-06-14T00:00:00Z
  • Very accurate description of the place. Very spacious, clean, comfortable. My wife and I both slept extremely soundly as the bed is quite comfortable and the house is located well off the road, so you don't have any road noise. Place was bigger than expected and completely spotless. Extremely easy drive to Longwood, or other areas, as it's close to major highways. We would absolutely book here again if we come back to the area!

    Blake2016-09-19T00:00:00Z
  • I work in Spain and travel back to the US frequently to see my girlfriend. I’ve found a home away from home here, just outside Coatesville. Getting from Seville to Pennsylvania is exhausting but I know I’m bound for a great night’s sleep on an amazing bed when I arrive. The hosts of this property are such wonderful people and the warmth and comfort to be found here aren't things you can put a price one. This listing easily provides the best value for your money, 10x better than a hotel at a fraction of the cost!

    Zach2016-03-25T00:00:00Z
  • Staying at Bonnie’s was our first AirBnb experience.  Since it was bound to be different from a hotel, we made sure to read the listing information, the house rules, and definitely look at all the photographs. The pictures were good but it is even better being there. I grew up in Iowa and I’ve been inside many barns but never one converted into an energy efficient home-- seems like an oxymoron, barn—energy efficient?  The home is unique and because it was converted from a bank barn there are two ground level entrances.  We could walk directly out of our spacious bright apartment into the garden and be surrounded by tall trees and singing birds. There were plenty of restaurants in the area and since we were on vacation the galley kitchen suited our needs -- scrambled eggs and toast for breakfast and a tuna fish salad sandwich for lunch. The peaceful country setting, the spacious accommodations, the location, everything was just right.  The only downside was we couldn’t stay longer.

  • Great place to spend the night when in PA. As soon as we walked in we were content with the spaciousness, cleanliness and cozy feeling. The amenities were perfect and felt overall comfortable here. Thank you Trish for letting us spend and restful night at this lovely place. Will visit again.

    Luis2016-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed our stay at Trish's. The walk out basement apartment was moderately spacious, fairly new, and CLEAN! One could hear muffled noises in the upper floor but it seemed that the main part of the house was not squarely over our side so we did not have the noise of loud walking overhead. The view out the back was of the rolling farmlands. We even were able to walk along the field and get to a little side road for a lovely rural walk thru the area. Trish kindly accommodated our gluten free concerns and had several choices for breakfast so we did not go hungry : ) Thank you for your Lancaster Hospitality.

  • Me,my wife and my son(1yrs old) felt very comfortable and relaxing staying for a week, just like being home. Trish is a great host, hospitality and accommodated. The place is clean, a lot books to read, and toys for kids. We did not use the pool and the BBQ grill because of winter too cold, but definitely will come again in the future summer. Thank you!

    James2016-11-20T00:00:00Z
  • Trish's place was great! It is in a convenient location, and had all the amenities mentioned and then some. Everything was ready when we arrived. She even had a dog kennel and doggie bowls set up for our puppy. Trish also was in contact with us before, during, and after our stay to make sure everything was satisfactory. We would definitely stay again!

    Julie2016-10-01T00:00:00Z
  • Trish was an exceptional host. She did everything to make our stay perfect. A lot of things were available for breakfast. The bed was comfortable and the apartment (which is located in the basement of the house) was huge. A TV with Netflix was available. The apartment is perfectly located if you wish to discover Lancaster or the Amish country.

    Belinda2016-10-17T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay was excellent. Everything was as described - we loved the open layout. It was clean and comfortable. The fridge was stocked with water and treats, as well as some local fruit which was a nice surprise. The view from the backyard is beautiful. Our pups enjoyed their stay as well. Thanks so much!

My place is close to PHL, BWI, Amish (Lancaster County), Longwood Gardens, Uof D, Lincoln U, State Parks . You’ll love it here because of the people, the ambiance, the outdoors space, the neighborhood, the serenity, nightlife . It's a great space for solo adventurers and business travelers. Great for dog lovers. I have 2 slightly obnoxious dogs and a cat.
This house is centrally located to so many fun places from Philly, to Baltimore to charming downtown Newark (listed as one of the best "Main streets" in the country.) The house is a 4 BR colonial and it's just my son and I. You will have privacy and if you'd like, pet companionship. There's also a fire pit to hang out around or a hammock big enough for 2 to relax.
  • Laura is incrediblhy kind and easy to communicate with!

    Kiersten2017-04-06T00:00:00Z
  • Laura was a fantastic host! This was my first time using Airbnb, and I stayed for 4 weeks while I completed a medical rotation outside of Lancaster. Laura made my extended stay extremely comfortable and gave me the perfect environment to focus on my studies. She was warm, friendly, accommodating, and always asking for suggestions for how she could make my stay better. The house is well-furnished and in a nice, quiet neighborhood. It had everything I needed to stay comfortable, including a private bedroom with walk-in closet, access to all cooking utensils, pantry and refrigerator space, high-speed internet, comfy furniture, and of course, getting to spend lots of time with her loving dogs Eddie and Charlie! I don't have one bad thing to say about the host or the location - it was a great first Airbnb experience and I would definitely stay there again!

    Dave2017-02-11T00:00:00Z
  • I had a great stay in Laura's place during a recent trip to the area for business. She is a lovely and warm host and nothing is too much trouble. The room was comfortable and nicely furnished. I really appreciated her help on finding a ride out of town when headed back up to Philadelphia- a car or prebooked transport out of the town is sound advice for fellow travelers.

    Abi2017-04-02T00:00:00Z
  • Laura was a wonderful and very understanding host. Due to some last minute family issue, I had to check in very late and Laura made sure either she or someone was awake to let me.ina nd make at home. Her place is on a wonderful cul-de-sac and surrounding hy beautiful Garden and farms..thanks a tonne for your hospitality. If I do the ride again next year, I will surely come back.

    Girish2017-08-27T00:00:00Z
  • I would highly recommend Laura's place. She is witty, charming, and a gracious host. She has thought of all the details to make your stay comfy, from coffee that was brewed before my eyes opened to little snacks set out in a designated area. She always responded quickly to all communication, but also respected privacy and provided plenty of space. If you want that feeling of home while traveling, you can't go wrong with Laura.

    Dana2017-05-21T00:00:00Z
  • Laura is personable and welcoming, and I felt comfortable as soon as I arrived. I really appreciated the ability to cook meals in the kitchen, and loved having farm-fresh eggs for breakfast! I would absolutely stay again if I return to the area!

cabin is located in southern lancaster Pa, in the Amish country
  • The location is ideal....private and tranquil. If you love horses, no place better because there are friendly horses grazing in paddocks behind the cabin who will come over to greet you and offer their noses for some strokes. Bring carrots! Wendy and Travis are warm and welcoming. If you have a hankering to tag along to watch their thoroughbreds train on a nearby track, they are eager to share their passion for horses. Two very friendly dogs will greet you. Guests are welcome to wander their paths in woods or meet the horses hanging out in their stalls. The cabin is very well set up for a comfortable stay and very quaint. No WIFI or TV, but, this is a great plus for getting away from work! Plenty of dvds to watch if you want. Wendy is excellent at responding quickly. We hope to return in the future.

  • I wanted a secluded place to stay during my long weekend stay while visiting Amish Country and found this lovely cabin on a horse farm. Wendy, the host, was wonderful and accessbile. You really are allowed to walk around her property and pet the beautiful horses! I have taken a few walks around the farm during the early morning and at night to clear my mind--if this is what you're looking for then I highly recommend this place.

Quiet neighborhood in the middle of Amish country. Just minutes from the outlet malls, restaurants, and Lancaster County tourist attractions. Within walking distance of a public park and great local restaurants.
  • The house is exactly as it is posted: warm, familiar and cozy. The pool is amazing, and the gas grill was great too. It is perfect for kids since it is child proof, not to mention the sandbox in the garden and all the toys they left for the kids (our kids were fascinated!). Additionally, Trina was very nice and helpful. She left a bunch of information on attractions. Last but not least, we had a small problem concerning the health of our daughter and she was very understanding. It is highly recommended. We hope to stay there again in the future! Thank you Trina and your family! Emilio

  • We haven't met Katrina but the house is beautiful, extremely well kept and unbelievably clean! She has made our stay enjoyable and we truly felt at home! The house is very well situated, near local attractions and stores. We have enjoyed the house, the pool and the delicious foods Katrina had left for us (fresh eggs, peaches and tomatoes). We would definitely stay there again!

  • We were so honored to stay in Katrina's home! Such a gorgeous home in the countryside town of Gap. The home is kept in immaculate shape, so clean and fresh, it is a credit to Katrina. There was everything you needed in the home and Katrina gave us some great tips on where to eat. Unlike some other places we have stayed there was coffee, sugar, milk if you wanted. We ate out a couple of times but also got take out and enjoyed our meal sitting out on their lovely deck area. We would definitely stay here again if we were ever back in the area.

  • Katrina and Cliff have a wonderful house: clean, modern and well laid-out. The bedrooms are ample, the kitchen fully stocked and the living room and dining room very comfortable. The house is totally kid-friendly, if you have little ones. Our two boys loved playing in the back yard with the little platform built on the fence so they could look over it to the valley beyond.

It was very comfortable for two couple and two babies - we each had great space. The kitchen was fully stocked, the living room and outside where so great. Would go back there again! They were great hosts!

  • Marion and Bill's home was exactly as pictured and described. It was large, comfortable, spotlessly clean, well-stocked with anything we could have wanted, and located in a secluded and private neighborhood. We stayed here to re-visit Longwood Gardens and were joined by family from NC we don't often see. The house provided a welcoming environment for family time. Communication was easy and responses were instantaneous. This is a 5 star accommodation!

    Jean2017-05-22T00:00:00Z
  • Marion was in touch the week of our arrival, and ensured that everything was set up specifically to receive us. As we were not able to coordinate a time to meet, she made sure to highlight where all the essentials were, and pointed out the booklet of information prepared about the house and nearby attractions. We were a group of two families, with four kids under seven between the two, and there was more than enough room for all of us to feel comfortable and at ease. The house is exactly as pictured: very clean, spacious, and plenty of furnishings to make you feel at home. If we ever find ourselves back in the area, we will be sure to book this property!

    Kelly2016-06-07T00:00:00Z
  • This is a great place for our family to stay. The house is nice and clean, with all facilities we need. The environment around the house is quiet and good for relaxing. In addition, Marion is a very nice host. She responds our questions quickly and solved our issues efficiently. And she also made a nice booklet which provides a lot of useful information. It would be helpful to read it in the first night.

With much attention to detail, we were surrounded with warmth and comfort. We were grateful for a lovely walk through the surrounding woodlands and ending the evening with a cozy bonfire. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast of homemade granola and local raw milk while looking out over an AMAZING view. Rosana made our first experience with Airbnb an unforgettable experience! ~The Hudocks

  • I absolutely loved our stay. The room was immaculate and the views were breathtaking. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. I would have liked the room to have been a little cooler. The air conditioner was was not powerful enough for the large room. That being said I would not hesitate to return.

  • If you're looking for a quiet, serene place to get away, this is it. John and Rosana were very friendly but not at all intrusive and their homemade granola was amazing!! All of the little touches and carefully chosen decor make this cozy space feel like home (except I wish my place were this uncluttered). The bed was very comfortable and the kitchenette saved us from going out for breakfast and lunch. There's also a microwave. Overall, we had a fantastic trip here -- it's just a short drive from so many cool attractions and restaurants. We went on a great hike to Wolf's Hollow County Park about 20 minutes away and then had a delicious and very affordable lunch at Hometown Kitchen Family Restaurant in Georgetown. For NYE, we checked out The Catacombs, a restaurant 40 feet below street level. It was a neat experience but the food was a little overpriced for the quality. Hope to come back here again!

  • This place was great. Had everything you needed. And was pretty close to a bunch of restaurants, attractions and antique shops. The accommodations were more than we have expected and I would definitely love to come back to explore more. Highly recommend!!!

  • Thank you John and Rosana for opening your beautiful home, we so enjoyed our stay. Your property is absolutely gorgeous and the view of the Amish countryside is breathtaking. The suite is very clean, comfortable and cozy. You attention to detail, did not go unnoticed. I loved the little plaque on the bathroom vanity ~ In all your ways acknowledge HIM and He will direct your path. It spoke directly to my heart and I knew I was in a good place. A special thank you to your daughter for the delicious pumpkin cupcakes. The description of your Secluded Suite is spot on. If looking at this listing, I would highly recommend. We will definitely be back. Thanks again!

  • My family and I just returned from a wonderful weekend at Paradise Cottage! The home was warm and welcoming and had plenty of space for our two small children. The description of the home/property doesn't do it justice. The neighborhood is beautiful as well. The best part of it were the hosts! I spoke with Louita several times making the booking process easy. Her parents were there to welcome us on arrival. They were absolutely wonderful. They took time to make sure we had everything we needed and brought us fresh milk and eggs! We would not hesitate to stay there again next time we are in the area. You all made our first Airbnb experience a success!

    Leigh2016-05-16T00:00:00Z
  • We were welcomed by Louita's father although it was fairly late in the evening. He was waiting on the drive and showed us around. The house is much larger than we expected and we had it all to ourselves. It had much more than advertised. There is a washing machine, dryer there were groceries to get us started, indoor garage, lovely garden with spectacular view (Amish working the land with six horses areas!) Above all, the place has a nice atmosphere and was also very clean. Very nice bed too. Great hosts. Would definitely recommend it or stay again.

  • This is a charming place in a beautiful peaceful setting! We really enjoyed our stay here and appreciated the hosts' warm hospitality. The cottage is spacious, clean and well furnished--nicer than the photos!

  • We had a wonderful stay at Paradise Cottage. The home is in the heart of Amish country and every morning you can hear the clip-clop of hooves as they travel around town. Can't thank our hosts enough for their hospitality, the fresh eggs, milk, and fruit they gave us. Thank you! We can't wait to return.

    Aaron2016-09-06T00:00:00Z
  • Took our kid to Dutch wonderland during our stay, the location of the house is close enough yet in a very peaceful, suburban area. As other guest mentioned, there are pies and milks and fruits in the refrig, which was a big big plus for us as my little one loves to drink lots of milk every day. I had written a letter concerning about the room of the crib not dark enough for my kid to nap, surprisingly to find out Louita had changed the curtain to darker one and it ended up with two happy parents and a good sleeping kid. Thank you Louita.

    Cliff2017-07-31T00:00:00Z
  • This was a perfectly peaceful getaway. Louita’s family greeted us with kindness and ease, and gave us a generously stocked breakfast pantry/fridge! My friend and I sat under their two towering trees most of the day and came away from the trip refreshed and relaxed. Attention has been paid to every detail at Paradise Cottage – fresh flowers, cozy sheets, adapters for three-prong laptop plugs, “Love and Sunshine” sugar scrub. The area is lovely, and the quaint, bustling Strasburg is just a few minutes drive away. Thank you for taking our reservation a couple days out and for making us feel at home! We will absolutely be back!

    Samantha2016-06-06T00:00:00Z
  • There is something special about sitting on a porch overlooking farmland and hearing the sounds of horse hoofs as they pass on the road. From the moment we stepped in to this wonderful location, our hosts made us feel comfortable and at home. There was plenty of room and beautiful views. We were there to attend a meeting, and I think would be great to return w/ my family. Thanks for a great stay!

    Jamie2016-09-25T00:00:00Z
  • Host was very kind and caring about our stay! Greeted with fresh milk, eggs and bread. This place was spotless! We had privacy and were about 15 minutes away from the areas we were visting! Not bad at all! Beautiful views everywhere! We were able to use the garage which was a plus!! We absolutely enjoyed our stay here. Definitely will be staying here again!

  • I was fortunate to have had an extended stay. The apartment and location is as others have described and more. You won't be disappointed. The charm of my stay was my interactions with the Wilson family and their friends including a painting class, puttering in the barn, picking grapes and some wine every evening. If you like the country and a warm caring family this is the place for you. The Brandywine Valley has many attractions and good restaurants in easy driving distance. Then you can return to a place of bliss and a sip of wine. I will return.

  • This is an amazing location. My wife and I went here for one night for our 10 year anniversary. Great spot for any night or weekend away. Highly recommend.

  • We had a lovely stay at Wayvine. The apartment is spacious and well-appointed with lovely views; it was a perfect place to return to and unwind at the end of each day. We only wished that we had more downtime scheduled in to our trip so we could have enjoyed the apartment even more!

  • My husband and I were looking for a relaxing weekend getaway and were lucky enough to find Wayvine Winery and Vineyard and the Wilson family. Communication was excellent from the moment I sent the booking request. The apartment was spotless, well supplied, and so comfortable. When we arrived, the Wilson's welcomed us to their home as well as their family. Restaurant and sight seeing recommendations were spot on. As an added bonus, we enjoyed the excellent wines that Zach and family are making as well as the beautiful vineyard views. We will be recommending this winery and accommodations to our family and friends and look forward to visiting again!!

  • This place is definitely a hidden gem! We were welcomed as if we have been friends forever. Our stay was above and beyond what we could have imagined it would be. We came looking for a quick place to stay after visiting Longwood Gardens, but it turned into so much more! It was a special treat to wander through the vineyard early in the morning as the sun rose and the fog lifted from the rolling hills. The views of the vineyard from every window in the apartment are amazing! We will absolutely try to come back and we will be recommending this place to our family and friends. The place is so beautiful and the wine is delicious!

    Carlos2017-05-28T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful time here! The apartment was adorable and decorated with pieces from local artists and the views really were great from every window. We enjoyed the wine tasting that was included with the stay and hearing the history of the vineyard! The entire family was incredibly welcoming. We loved sitting out on the patio and enjoying the views and socializing with everyone. You really get it all, an adorable apartment with everything you need, great suggestions on other things to do, a beautiful property, great wine, wonderful hosts and so much more. We felt rejuvenated after our stay and will definitely be going back! I would highly recommend staying here!

  • Our stay was fantastic, it is an amazing location right above a winery and the views are out of this world. We had an amazing experience and felt so welcomed by the family. And it came with a free wine tasting downstairs. Absolutely must stay

Located on the heart of Amish country, part of the Underground Railroad 200 year old farm house Three story house, 8 bathroom, 8 bedroom, 2 living rooms, dinning room with table that seats 20 people, 5 fire places, big kitchen, perfect for family reunion or big groups, private chef available for meals.
Located in the heart of Amish Country in historic Lancaster County, the mansion was built around 1845 by Captain William Fassitt as a place to host lavish parties and entertain guests. Today, guests still arrive to enjoy the tranquility of the rolling farmlands, or to take the short drive to outlet shopping, Longwood Gardens and the many Amish attractions of the region.
  • We came as a party of nine, with several married couples and we also had other guests join us during our stay of a week, up to a maximum of 16. It was everything we wanted and everything we could hope for. We were looking for a relaxing getaway that is close enough to various attractions but still far enough away that we could all unwind and enjoy peace, quiet, and beautiful scenery. Having a whole house for ourselves, with seven real bedrooms, most with private baths and including a well-equipped kitchen, really helped, so did the very special character of the house. A pity our vacation ended. Having our host live next door and also being very available when we needed was an added benefit. For example, the morning after we came in, Juana brought us local organic free-range eggs for breakfast and was an endless font of knowledge about where to go and what to do. Below I post feedbacks, from just four of our children. All really enjoyed, but we didn't want the review to be too long. - Beautifully furnished. - Amazing views all around - Perfect sunsets - No issues with hot water, electricity and ventilation. - Very comfortable for hosting many people - Enough room to lounge, run outside, cook full on meals, and for each person to have a quiet space - If needed, the owner was available to contact and for questions during our stay. - Activity locations are all a short drive away- farmer markets, Amish tours, corn mazes etc. - I liked the historic aspect of the house. - Plenty of lounging room. I really liked it that there were spare beds, mattresses, sheets and pillows for when we needed them. Because we had access to washing machines and dryers meant that we always had a supply of clean clothes. It was a very calm, quiet and pleasant place. Although, the faucets on the third floor had a weak stream. But, putting that aside, it was a very good experience being there. Another thing is that there was no shortage of bathrooms and that there was a living room on the ground floor and a living room on the third floor. The house was beautifuly furnished, and was in good condition: no problem with the utilities, the beds and sofas were comfortable, clean and so were all the seats in the house. Abundant sitting room, good light and nice view from all the windows. It also had a welcoming feeling. The house comfortably accommodated a family of 9, and there was extra mattresses and bedding as well. The dining room table can seat at least 16, and there are enough chairs for that as well. There is also enough dining ware, placemats and tableclothes. The owners were easy to contact, available for questions and hospitable. They were friendly and could also recommend farmer's markets and attractions. The house is about 20 minutes away from attractions in the towns nearby (antiques,...

  • This house is fantastic! It suited our group of 10 perfectly. Jolley was very attentive and met our first group upon their arrival. The grounds are wonderful and we enjoyed the firepit in the gazebo as well as playing bocce and croackay (sp?!). I would highly recommend this house to anyone visiting the greater Philadelphia area. The countryside is geourgeous, lots of horse properties in the area. The house and grounds are very serene. 5 stars!

  • Great house for a large group. The dining and outdoor spaces are great for large group meals and outdoor gatherings. The location is beautiful and quiet. The house is well appointed with the basics. The hosts were very easy to contact and responsive. The interior stairs are steep and may provide a challenge for some, but there is a railing.

    Michaela2017-09-05T00:00:00Z
  • Jolly and her son Andrew were incredibly accommodating for our group and our only (very small) issue was promptly and efficiently taken care of. The house was clean and the property was beautiful. It was nice and secluded, which as a group coming from the city, was a nice change. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone visiting the area!

    Matthew2016-06-19T00:00:00Z
  • This is an absolutely charming, family friendly house. I can't stress enough just how pleasant it was to stay here with 8 other members of my family. My brother and sister in law stayed in the third floor loft area, along with their older boys. They had the whole floor to themselves and that was nice because they are especially late to bed people! The master bedroom was excellent - spacious and convenient with large bath and closet attached. My elderly dad (86) managed to do alright with the stairs going from first floor to second, where master bedroom was, but the stairs may be a challenge for some. Certainly not for most people! The best part was the kitchen - actually the whole first floor, patio and the grounds. Absolutely comfy and great for accommodating our large group. A round large table in the kitchen fits 10! And it has a lazy susan in the middle! Kitchen had everything you'd need or want to make large meals and to share in the making of a meal. Nice details everywhere....games to play, separate area for those wanting to watch TV and another room for reading, playing, talking. The weather was very rainy so we didn't utilize the outside patio or walk the property. That was so disappointing. There is a large table outside as well, plus a covered gazebo like structure - lit and with cozy seating! Although we mostly stayed indoors when we weren't touring around, we spent a lot of time photographing butterflies. I have never seen a non stop show of swallowtails like we did during our 4 day stay! I wouldn't change a thing and would definitely rent this home again. Thank you Jolley!

  • Amazing place to stay in a quiet scenic valley. Loved it, hope to repeat. Great communication from Jolley with easy check-in and check-out.

  • Lovely house in the middle of wooded rolling hills, valleys and small horse farms about 45 minutes from Philadelphia. Beautiful back yard. The house was very well maintained and the kitchen was perfectly adequate to prepare meals for our party of 9. I would highly recommend this place.

    Peter2017-07-30T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend at Jolley's house. The house is very well-equipped with everything you need and felt very homey with lots of books and cool art. Jolley's son Andrew helped us check in and made sure we were all set. The house has beautiful landscaping and a playground that our 3-year old enjoyed. There was plenty of room for 6 adults and 3 young children to spread out with room to spare. The upstairs loft was separated by a door and had room for an entire family of four to fit (maybe more). The house didn't have great cell phone reception but that wasn't a problem for us. We wish we had more time to explore the area, which looked like it had lots of attractions, but we did enjoy getting fresh strawberries, rhubarb, pies and apple cider donuts at Highland Orchards nearby.

  • The stay was fantastic. I think the place was a lot better than the pictures make it look. Also Evan was extremely responsive throughout the stay.

  • Even was an incredible host and his home is very private and secluded. It was a really cool and fun place to stay. The house was extremely clean and the beds were very comfortable! We had a few requests that Evan went above and beyond to make our stay go smooth and comfortable! We asked for a little refrigerator space and he gave us a whole shelf. We locked ourselves out of the house and Evan came home to let us in. He truly will go out of his way to ensure his guests are comfortable. I highly recommend staying at Evan's home when in the area. After a long drive to visit Lancaster, it was the perfect place to rest!

  • Beautiful modern House in secluded wooded area. We were a party of 8 and had plenty of room to sleep, entertain teens, and adults can enjoy a few drinks on the beautiful deck. Nice tv and pool table. Fire pit was a highlight for the entire family. Evan was great in responding to all my questions. The house was well equipped for big family cooking. All we had to bring was our groceries. Highly recommend this place. We loved this place!

  • This place is way bigger than I realized! My family stayed here, and it was such a treat to spread out and really enjoy the space, the natural light, and the setting. The house has a great yard, and is super private with a wooded view. I really liked driving into this place too - lots of sweeping farmland views in the country! Evan was great at being in touch and was especially accommodating to some of my family's needs. The place was really clean, and we had everything we needed there. We were looking for a place to grab a beer, and upon recommendation we went to the Victory Brewery. As promised the food and beer were great. I hope that I have an excuse to swing back to this area again- I'd stay here again in a heartbeat!

    Caitlin2016-08-13T00:00:00Z
  • Our host made us feel very welcome and even directed us in over the phone. The listing description was accurate. The house was clean and spacious. In fact it is a modern home with more than expected. The neighborhood was very quiet with farms and horses near. It is Amish country so horse-drawn buggies really added to the rustic feel. This house is surrounded by trees which makes it even more private and secluded. The tourist area was not far. Sight and Sound, tours, buggy rides, restaurants, and parks were all within a half-hour drive. And a golf course is less than five minutes away. So, I would very much recommend staying here, whether you want to stay in for a personal retreat or get out on vacation.

    Tyr2016-06-20T00:00:00Z
  • A wonderful, spacious place w high ceilings & a deck that looks out into the woods. We enjoyed listening to the frogs at night from the deck & going there to linger over coffee in the morning. Good gathering spaces in living room w fireplace & TV & game room w pool table & darts. Comfortable beds & quiet surroundings in Amish country. We could have enjoyed a much longer stay than our one night. Idyllic pastoral views of rolling hills & farms. Evan's recommendations led us to the best, seriously!, burgers my burger craving family has had in a long time: Don't miss the Bullfrog Inn & get the perfectly seasoned crab bisque. We also stopped for giant & good cones at Penny's ice cream truck. Blackberry oreo & maple bacon & classic flavors like milk chocolate. Thank you Evan! We'd love to come back someday...
