Garden
“Chenonceau Château has to be THE château to visit whilst in the Loire Valley. The "Ladies Chateau" is elegantly straddles the River Cher. There are stunning bouquets of flowers in each of the rooms and the kitchens are remarkable. Outside there are formal French gardens, the royal vegetable garden, a labyrinth and during the summer you can hire a rowing boat and go under the château! Son et lumière performances in July and August.”

Food
“At the cave at the Chateau de Chenonceaux one can taste the "Chenonceau" label (4,20 euros for 3 tastings) which is produced by Pere Auguste with the grapes located on the estate, but for the full experience (for all the wines and varieties produced by Pere Auguste in addition to the Chateau's vineyard) visiting the actual winery just a few kilometers away is an excellent introduction to the scores of vineyards in this region.”
