“One of our family's favorite places to eat. Serves all day -- breakfast, lunch, dinner and coffee. Casual but modern with great wine selections and a full bar with good cocktails. Not too expensive, very high quality eclectic Californian style menu. Our favorites: Winsome burger, mussels, brussels cesar salad, Whipped feta dip. Cute outdoor seating area.”

“You wouldn’t think staying in Lincoln Heights Los Angeles would include wine tasting a stones throw away but yes folks it does. Awesome wine with grapes from Napa and a gorgeous old building from the mid century. So much to do and see!”

“Where do pirates go when they want to get a drink? They go to the Redwood Bar & Grill, of course. (Also, fans of The Goonies.) Decked out in over-the-top pirate décor, this funky dive bar is L.A's ultimate pirate pub -- call it nautical swag. Great bands perform here too, and the food is not bad! 316 W 2nd St.; 213-680-2600”

“Great club for a Tuesday evening or a Friday night - owners and the people that work there are the nicest - often there are DJs or bands on the small stage in back - the dance floor is on fire most weekend nights - table service much appreciated - and if you just want to watch a game on a weeknight it's great for that too ”
