“Best pizza... it's gourmet. If you need to feed the kids go to Christians.... unless your kids will eat fancy pizza. Will not take reservations and it is a small place. Do not take a group here. ”

“The C&O Restaurant opened it’s doors in 1976. From the beginning the restaurant enjoyed high praise from some of the nations most notable food writers and critics. The C&O staff is peppered with enthusiastic crafts people who are passionate about their work. The kitchen crew works tirelessly cultivating relationships with local farmers, cheese makers, vintners and ranchers bringing you the best of what’s around. The waitstaff is knowledgeable, attentive but unobtrusive, with a keen eye towards warmth and hospitality. The C&O is a multifaceted restaurant with six different areas for dining.”

Cafes

Cafe
“Authentic French pastries and wonderful breads. If you haven’t been before, you must go and get a slice of apple galette and a cappuccino. Their brunch is excellent as well, but we prefer to just order a large box of pastries from the walk up counter. ”

Cafe
“OKAY, some of my friends roll their eyes when I bring up La Taza, but I can't get enough of their breakfast tacos and breakfast potatoes. If you're here on the weekend and are willing to wait a little while (because they are usually busy), it's worth the wait. If you're lucky and you are here during the week, you'll have no problem getting a table or placing a take-out order! If you want to enjoy a nice cold drink around a fire conversing with locals, check our the Tikki Bar at La Taza. It's an outside bar with a tropical theme and relaxed atmosphere in the heart of Belmont.”

“Check out their schedule and see a show! Generally pretty cheap and a good crowd.”

“Feast! is an amazing market to go to if you want specialty, gourmet cheese, wines, crackers, select veggies, pastas, etc. Their cheesemongers are very knowledgeable and will help you find the perfect crackers/jams/wines with which to pair your cheese choices. They also offer delicious take away sandwiches and salads. You can also order from their catering menu (think cheese boards, pumpkin ham biscuits, fruit arrays) if you're wanting something for your group to snack on.”

“Yummy, inventive flavors abound at this cool gelato place. Located on the historic pedestrian mall. Grab a cone (I love the bambino- a tiny little cone with a tiny little scoop of gelato- I love the hazelnut- it’s the perfect little after-dinner dessert that satisfies your sweet tooth but doesn’t leave you feeling overfull)- grab a cone and stroll on the downtown mall.”

“Bodo's is a local favorite for breakfast or lunch. Fresh bagels, bagel sandwiches, soups. The line may be long, but it moves quickly. My favorite in the morning is an egg bagel with bacon and cheddar cheese on a plain bagel.”

“This is the local's place for bagels. As a transplant from New York I am a bagel snob, but even I have to admit these bagels are very, very good. There are three locations. Sometimes there is a bit of a line, but it moves quickly.”
