Vacation Rentals in Center Harbor

Just booked in Center Harbor

Rustic but comfortable livin'!
This converted schoolbus features wood floors, insulated walls, full-size propane kitchen stove and a small oven (be sure to ask for instructions before using the oven), small fridge, and a large kitchen counter with sink. There is a twin bed and hammock, as well as plenty of floor space for spreading out your own camp mats if you need additional sleeping space. There is no plumbing, but I will provide water for drinking and dish washing. You may refill water from an outdoor faucet on the back of my house. Basic cooking and eating utensils are provided. For lighting, there is an inflatable, portable "Luci" light that I will leave next to the sink where the sun can charge it, otherwise you might want to bring a headlamp. An extension cord into the bus will provide you with power for cell phones, devices, etc. (NO electric heaters, please). The bus does not have an indoor toilet or shower, but there is a primitive, hole-in-the-ground outhouse tent a few steps away in the woods. You might want to bring a flashlight for midnight potty excursions. There is a stand-alone firepit that you may use, just follow these rules: - Do not make fires on the ground, burn in the firepit only - No burning of trash - Do not use my cookware in the fire - In order to prevent the spread of invasive insects, only bring locally sold and harvested wood onto the property. Plus, it is illegal to bring firewood across state lines. - Absolutely no burning or cutting of wood from the woods surrounding the bus - Bundles of firewood are available to purchase from me, just ask. There is an ultra-safe direct-vent nonelectric propane heater in the bus. In the summer, you won't need the heater at all; even chilly nights will be fine since body heat and the heat from cooking will warm up the compact space. In the fall, the heater is good for taking the chill off. In the winter, you'll want to run it more consistently, though please dress and be prepared for periods of cold, as if you were WINTER CAMPING, this includes bringing your own winter-rated sleeping bag. During the coldest midwinter nights, the bus temperature may not go much above 40F, though there are plenty of milder nights around here, just be prepared. Also, some warm slippers would be nice to have in the winter as the floor stays chilly. *** I charge for propane to use the heater during the cold seasons, payable when you arrive, $5/night. Please arrange with me how you will pay, most people leave money on the counter before they leave. *** Please follow the House Rules and use the directions listed on your reservation when you book, otherwise GPS may send you the wrong way.
  • Can't recommend this place enough, especially if want to stay somewhere unique and memorable! Hannah's School Bus is such a cool place to stay, and made the end of our Road Trip unforgettable! It's surprisingly roomy, with comfortable bed (and hammock!) And plenty of personalised touches that give the bus it's vibrant personality. Hannah came by to greet us after we arrived and communication and directions were simple to follow. We had everything we needed to do some cooking and the bus stayed warm and comfortable. It was a great, relaxing escape from the technology-focused pace of modern times, getting us off the grid and back to alternative, minimalistic roots!

  • Hannah was a wonderful host and a great resource for what to do in the White Mountains. The bus was a beauty, well outfitted, tidy, and totally magical.

    David2015-06-07T00:00:00Z
  • The bus was a great experience and we had a memorable time! As mentioned the toilet facility is outdoors and there were lots of spiders (which made my girlfriend do her business very quickly, haha). We played cards by candlelight and shared some beer and wine together. I think it was very romantic and relaxing. We would definitely recommend staying in the bus for a day (or more if you want to experience the outdoor shower).

Our home is walking distance to shopping, the library, resaurants and the town beach. Our home has a fantastic view from the front deck. Great for families (with kids). Relax under the pine trees on the back deck.
Our neighborhood is one big quite circle, great for exercising.
  • This house is a quick and easy walk to grocery, beach, restaurants and a park. The street was safe and quiet. Greg was quick to respond to questions and requests. Front porch is a wonderful place to enjoy a gorgeous view. Great stay!

  • Great view. Supermarket and lake just round the corner. Well appointed. Just a tad dated inside.

  • This house was awesome - we were able to walk to food, the beach and ice cream! The house itself was plenty big for our family of 4 and had everything we needed!

The bedroom has a queen bed. Also, there is a single bed in a large alcove facing the woods. The full bath has an extra long tub as well as a sink outside the bathroom for tooth brushing or filling up the coffee maker
This is a beautiful area set within the lakes region of New Hampshire with plenty of lake activities, hiking, siteseeing etc. Our road is quiet so walks are easy right out the door.
  • Bonnie & Harry are generous and welcoming hosts. The cottage is beautifully designed and thoughtfully appointed. High quality fixtures, nice linens, and large airy rooms with huge windows that make you feel like you're in the forest. We loved being surrounded by birches and birdsong. We hope to return and we unreservedly recommend this property to others. Thank you, Bonnie & Harry, for a great stay!

    Karena2017-07-23T00:00:00Z
  • My best friend and I just got back from spending a most beautiful, tranquil few days away at the guest house in the woods. We were thoroughly impressed with this magical space and wonderful kind hosts, Bonnie & Harry. Their communication and hospitality was outstanding. We will most definitely be returning here in the future!

    Elizabeth Bronwen2017-01-15T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely little spot, must enjoy birdsong, sparkling sunlight and flower strewn meadows. The little cabin has most of the necessities including hair-dryer, books, hi-fi, original artwork, lovely linens, a fridge, cutlery and chinaware along with reminders that this is a one of a kind, built by loving hands cabin. It is near their home, so I hope you will enjoy interacting with Bonnie and Harry and their friends who basically treat you as visiting family. The addition of a microwave for reheating those restaurant leftovers would be ideal. Also the installation of a kitty and dog to snuggle with...hey, I can dream can't I. All I can say is that I am sad to be home and am missing the beauty and simplicity of the north country - I may have to return....

    Arthur2017-07-17T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent place with the most welcoming hosts.

  • This little cabin in the woods was a perfect place to stay for the weekend. It was clean, well decorated and felt like a home away from home. Warm, welcoming and friendly, Bonnie and Harry make you feel like you're staying with family. We would definitely recommend this location to friends and family and we hope to stay again in the future!

    Soren2017-08-22T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful, scenic guest house in the NH woods. Harry and Bonnie were excellent hosts, we really enjoyed our stay!

    Chris2017-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • This thoughtfully crafted guesthouse offers beautiful space and a very private feel while being only a few minutes drive from downtown Center Harbor. There is also a small beach with boat access to Squam Lake 1/2 mile away.

    Denise2017-08-06T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed at this beautiful cabin for our day trips to Squam Lake, Quechee Gorge, Franconia Notch Park, and Mount Washington. We enjoyed the area and loved coming back in the evenings to recharge in the beautifully appointed, serene cabin. The cabin is light, bright, modern, and nicely decorated. It added some great "relaxing time" to our vacation.

  • We were scammed on another property that wasn't on BnB. Rachel came through for my family reunion after my nephew's wedding. The property was incredibly clean! New! Everyone said we should do this again on an annual basis. The central location of Dottie's Cottage meant that we could walk to the beach. Walk to several restaurants in minutes. Ice cream every night in a five minute stroll (not to mention that the public beach is just across the street). The supermarket is a two minute car ride and opens at 7AM. Really convenient if arriving late in the evening. We cooked family dinner and barbecued a couple of the nights and all sat around the large dining room table and talked and talked. A wonderful way for family from across the country to reconnect. There's a washer and a dryer that we didn't need, but when my kids were younger I would have been happy to see them on a family beach vacation. Bedding and towels were of high quality, like being at home. Rachel called me right back as I am new to property rental and could not have been more helpful and gracious. Next time I'd be easier as a renter as I didn't see her posting by e mail having left really early for New Hampshire after a really long travel and wedding day. I didn't see that the information I was seeking was in fact provided by Rachel. She was kind and never said a word about having posted all that I was asking her. She was immediately responsive and genuinely happy to hear that our family was enjoying her home. We did daily trips into Meredith and even Laconia isn't far. Center Harbor is a classic New England town. Everyone is so friendly. The Mt. Washington boat tour, train ride tour, etc. all an easy way to be together and see the sites. Rachel, I can't say thank you enough. Would return in a heartbeat.

    Janet2016-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • The house is absolutely beautiful. It's right near down town, but with a gorgeous view of the lake, especially at sunrise. There was plenty of room, the beds were very comfortable, and the house is beautifully decorated. Rachel was pleasant and helpful, and seems genuinely dedicated to accommodating her guests. I would definitely recommend this cottage to anyone staying in the area. P.S. The complementary coffee was a life saver!

    julie2016-10-30T00:00:00Z
  • This was my first time using air BNB and it was a great experience. The house was very cute and perfectly accommodated myself and the other guests. We were there for a wedding so we weren't able to check out the town but it was close enough if we had wanted to. Rachel was helpful in texting me a day or two before my stay with all the information I needed about the house.

    Deirdre2017-05-28T00:00:00Z
  • The house is simply amazing. The decoration is really great and you fell like being at home very easily. The distance of the lake and the busy road in front of the house are the only point which were not perfect.

    Vincent2016-08-22T00:00:00Z
  • The beds in this house are so comfortable and lovely living space which was perfect for the big family I was traveling with. Lots of games available for family fun nights. Nice large porch. Rachel was wonderful to communicate with.

    Jaki2017-07-16T00:00:00Z
  • The house was lovely, loved all of the decor! Plenty of space for our weekend. The beds were comfortable and the linens were nice. Plenty of cozy towels and all the kitchen amenities we needed. Would def return. Would love to see it in the summer.

    alexis2017-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • This house was great to stay in. We had a large group of people (8 adults) and everyone got a bed, a comfy one at that. We appreciated the extras like shampoo/conditioner and hairdryers in the bathrooms, the staple stocked kitchen plus appliances and the comfy living space seating and big dining table. I would definitely recommend staying here if you also have a large group.

My place is close to Mills Falls in Meredith, close to skiing, casual and fine dining, art shops, wineries, art and antique shops, just minutes to 2 - 4 hour hikes with great views of White Mountains and Lake Winnepesaukee, a beautiful Association Beach, and family-friendly activities. You’ll love my place because of the comfy bed, the kitchen, the high ceilings, its cleanliness, and coziness. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and families (with kids).
    My place is very clean!!
This home is in an Association of 80 homes and located within a series of cul de sacs. This is nice because traffic is minimal, you can walk or bike without ever coming into exterior traffic.
  • Awesome house for a great weekend up north

  • Great place, Great location, great host! We'll be baack! What a great house and location! Super comfortable and extremely clean. Great front porch and awesome back screened in porch to hang out in!

    Donald2017-08-31T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent host and beautiful house in a quiet pretty location. The house is near the lake and in a quiet neighborhood making for a relaxing stay. In particular, the porch was a great place to have a coffee in the morning and the decor was fantastic. The open plan and space was great for mixing but with enough space to relax in private. Catherine, was accessible for a couple of small questions we had and getting in and out was a breeze. She even stocked a few essentials in the fridge to save an early trip to the store in the morning. Thank you. We'll be back for sure.

  • Catherine's home was in a fantastic location and was very clean and welcoming. She made herself readily available if need be and offered ideas on where to go hiking or eat out. Great experience overall !

  • Great location, terrific host! Everything was just as pictured & described. Catherine was very good about answering questions and offering suggestions about things to do, places to eat, etc. The location is outstanding, close to everything. • This place was just wonderful for us and particularly during these dates. We loved every minute of it and hope to return. Thank you.

    Xiomara2016-05-25T00:00:00Z
  • Rick did everything in his power to make sure all was well with our stay. I know there was some of the beach rules broken, but I just apologized to the neighbors, for not letting the rest of my family know the rules and she said no biggy, and thanked my son for playing with her boys. Just being respectful I think made her realize that we cared about her their property.

    Richard2016-07-01T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay in the cabin. The beach was great and since it's situated in a little cove, there was very little boat traffic. The water at the beach was clear with a sandy bottom. Having the water across the road wasn't a big annoyance; it's a pretty short walk on a dead-end road with no traffic. The cabin is rustic, but comfortable and the screened porch, in particular, was a very nice spot to hang out. All in all, we'd return and recommend the cabin to others.

    Josh2016-08-01T00:00:00Z
  • Rick answered all our questions quickly and accurately...the cabin is close to lake and has rustic charm. Love the fireplace and enjoyed venturing out to nearby towns. A good choice for Squsm Lake. Fall foliage beautiful and would love to see this area in summer! Good times

    Kim Anne2016-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • Rick was very kind and thoughtful....he left us a dozen eggs from his cage free chickens. They were delicious!

    Robert2016-09-05T00:00:00Z
  • Rick's cabin was a quiet and rustic place to unwind. The area and lake were beautiful not too far from town, but nestled in a friendly wooded area next to the lake.

    Kim2017-07-01T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time there overall but I wouldn't plan on leaving your boat at the beach during the day as it sounds like the neighbors had a bad experience with some past renters and gave us a hard time about doing it. We were able to work an arrangement for while we were there but I didn't get the feeling it will carry over.

    Jake2017-06-25T00:00:00Z
  • We love this place so much. This is the type of place where you bring your kids every year and build tradition. The cabin has that classic feeling and vibe that is exactly what I need after dealing with the high stress of working in the city. I will be looking to rebook immediately if they will have us!

  • If you are traveling to NH, you will be doing yourself a disservice if you do not stay with Maria. Her home is beautiful and the property is breathtaking. Every morning Maria made us the MOST AMAZING BREAKFASTS ever (creme brûlée french toast! Plus she was so great to accommodate my picky eating :D ). Maria is so sweet, kindhearted, funny, and nice. It felt like we had known her our whole lives. The floors and walls are thin which is to be expected in a 200 year old house - we weren't bothered by it at all. The bed was comfy, the sheets and blankets were clean and soft, the room was clean, the whole house was tidy and clean. I cannot think of a single thing I would have changed. The worst part about the whole stay was leaving!

    Linsey2017-10-22T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful stay on the farm! The old house is lovely furnished and clean. Maria and her husband are wonderful hosts. They were always there to help us and hospitable. Breakfast in the morning was amazing! We had the best blueberry pancakes ever. Thank you for making our stay as comfortable as it was! :)

    Caroline2017-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • It was a great place to stay and I would stay there again in the future. Breakfast was awesome and Maria makes a mean cup of coffee. the house is super cute and maintains it's period charm inside and out. clean, comfortable and affordable.

    Scott2017-08-27T00:00:00Z
  • I booked this Airbnb for my son and his girlfriend so they could have a place to stay that was conveniently located to the lake so they could join us as we already had a place to stay. They said that Maria was very sweet and she cooked them a nice breakfast! The place was cozy and comfortable. She communicated well with me on how we could meet up with them by boat very close by. They said they would stay there again.

    Lori2017-08-06T00:00:00Z
  • We had an excellent experience staying at Maria's. She was kind, courteous and caring beyond our faintest expectations. Did I mention attentive and responsive to messages? Breakfast was also delicious, filling, and she catered to ours and the other guests preferences. The house is gorgeous and filled with bygone charm. Her farm is beautiful. It was delightful watching the horses run in the pasture while we enjoyed our breakfast. Your experience here will be fantastic, I'm sure!

    Ross2017-10-01T00:00:00Z
  • Maria is a great host. Very welcoming and has a lovely home; we were also treated to a delightful breakfast. It is a short drive to the lake and a bunch of nice bars and restaurants. I highly recommend staying with her. Thanks Maria!

    Leon2017-08-13T00:00:00Z
  • Maria is one of the sweetest hosts we've ever had the pleasure of staying with. Her home is cozy and welcoming and it was easy to follow her directions to our room for our late check-in. We were in the area for work though we would have loved to spend a bit more time exploring. In the morning she offered us a very warm greeting and offered us a delicious breakfast. I would definitely stay at her lovely home again.

    Christina2017-09-17T00:00:00Z
  • Maria was SO accommodating and friendly, she really set the bar high for my first air BNB trip. She was very pleasant from the beginning, even introducing my friend and I to her horse and 2 donkeys on her property. The room was so tidy and neat and she had everything we could have needed. Her house was beautiful. Maria even offered to bring AND pick up my friend and I to our concert at Bank of NH Pavilion for a small fee. This took away the worry about trying to find an uber at a late time (she DEFINITELY didn't have to do this, but she went out of her way which made it even more special). Maria cooked us a beautiful home made breakfast (she is a fantastic cook) and made sure there was nothing else she could do for us. I would recommend her 100%, and if we are back in the area soon we will definitely return.

Families and pets welcome! Enjoy the peace and quiet of Lake Kanasatka in this 3+ bedroom, 2.5 bath cabin. Whether you're into water sports, hiking, skiing, or snowmobiling, this has it all. And Fido? Yes, he'll love the fenced in yard.
  • My husband and I, four friends stayed at this property this past weekend. The house is very spacious and has everything you would need whether just staying for the weekend or a whole week or two. It is right on Lake Kanasatka (as per the photo) and views from the master bedroom are spectacular. We also saw quite a few beautiful deer in the front yard one evening! It is also close to restaurants, grocery stores, and Lake Winnipesaukee, etc. Bryan was very responsive and helpful before and throughout our stay. I would highly recommend staying here, would be great any season, although after this cold winter, I would love to stay again sometime in the summer.

  • We stayed at Lakefront Cottage on Lake Kanastka for my wife’s annual sibling weekend with her brother and sister and spouses. We had a great time – this is a beautiful cottage . Waking up in the morning with the view overlooking the lake was great. The house is centrally located for exploring the area. This was our first time renting a residence from AirBnB and it was a very positive experience. The house was just as pictured on the website. There was plenty of room and the kitchen had everything we needed. Our host Bryan was very responsive and helpful with questions. He provided us with a detailed list of where things are located as well as provided some wine and some coffee pods. We would definitely recommend staying here and would like to come back in warmer weather when we can enjoy the lake. Thanks for making it available.

    peter2014-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • We had a brilliant time. The cottage is really comfortable and good for relaxing. We will definitely recommend it to friends! Thanks!

    Stefan2014-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay at Bryan's cottage! The house was perfect and located right on the water. Bryan provided everything needed for the weekend from towels and toiletries to a full kitchen with appliances. The house also had two kayaks and a small row boat which were great to use on the lake. we only had 4 people but the house can definitely accommodate more and is laid out well for group entertainment. We would love to come back here again and would absolutely recommend it.

    meghan2016-06-20T00:00:00Z
  • The house was perfect. It was clean and looked just like the pictures. Everything was great.

    Zach2015-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I had a truly lovely time at Bryan's gorgeous home. Its location can't be beat and the waterfront property is tranquil and gorgeous. It looks just as posted, and we found the home to be well stocked, clean, organized, and cozy. Simply beautiful.

  • Great place! Fantastic week end their with our 3 little kids!

    Benoit2017-10-22T00:00:00Z
  • This property is more gorgeous than the pictures depict and right on the water. The home is huge and can sleep 3 couples more than comfortably. The home was extremely clean and check-in/check-out was super easy. Bryan is an amazing host and responded immediately to any question I asked. Lastly, the fenced in back yard is perfect for folks who need to travel with their dog as I do.

Winter is coming!!! Our log home is in the woods on Ledgy pond overlooking the Ossipee Mountains. The pond is shallow so it freezes quite quickly. Ice skating and ice fishing are a possibility, as well as snow shoeing and cross country skiing! We are also within 30-45 min from 5 different ski areas-Gunstock, Waterville Valley, Loon, Cannon, & Bretton Woods! We do NOT charge a cleaning fee to help keep our prices low.
We live in a log home on a pond over the .Ossipee Mountains. We have 2 bedroms separated by a full private bath. The connected bathroom would become shared only if both listings are rented.
We live in a quiet, wooded neighborhood overlooking Ledgy Pond & Ossipee Mountains!!! You will hear peepers & crickets at night as well as lots of birds during the day
  • Absolutely fantastic location and place to stay. A really charming log cabin. Paula and Dana were wonderful kind hosts who really welcomed us into their home. We were sad we could not stay longer. A lovely couple who have some wonderful stories to tell. We could have chatted with them all night. Nice comfy bedroom and everything was nice and clean. Thank you!

    James2016-10-15T00:00:00Z
  • Paula’s place is gorgeous and scenic! Located right on a little pond, with a cozy log cabin interior, nice fire pit area outdoors, and kayaks/canoe available to use. Paula was accommodating and friendly as can be. We are thinking of coming back winter side to check out the skiing in the area as well!

  • Highly recommended! Paula's house is the best vacation house we have ever been. She is so nice and welcoming. She showed us a lot of good places to visit and even made tea for us in the morning. The house is absolutely beautiful and clean. Very nice view to the woods and pond. You will not regret to come here.

  • Cindy was so welcoming and helpful! The cottage was so cozy and nice. We ended up staying an extra day because we were so happy with our stay. Even though we were there when it is too cold to swim it was wonderful being on the lake and waking up to that beautiful view! Thank you Cindy! We recommend staying here no matter what time of the year, you will have a lovely time!

    Maggie2013-11-18T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful cabin exactly as described. Cindy and Gary were very nice and helpful in showing us around. We were wanting for nothing and you cannot beat the peaceful view off the back deck. Thank you so much!

    Jessica2017-09-13T00:00:00Z
  • Set back from a quiet road and located on a slope overlooking the lake, this cottage provides a beautiful and peaceful setting for a relaxing holiday. The house is a model of rustic simplicity, completely comfortable, and equipped with everything necessary. I particularly enjoyed the deck on the back of the house, where I spent many pleasant hours. Center Harbor is a short walk away, and there are plenty of restaurants in the area if you don't feel like cooking at the cottage. Cindy and Gary are delightful people and wonderful hosts. They live right on the property and are always readily available for anything you might need. I would heartily recommend this cottage and these fine hosts to anyone looking to spend time in the area.

    Peter2016-04-24T00:00:00Z
  • Delightful spot with wonderful views! Cabin quite basic but in fairness as described! Change in temperature from 24 to 4 was a bit of a challenge! Would certainly recommend though!

    Teresa2016-10-23T00:00:00Z
  • An adorable cottage with everything I needed...Cindy and Gary even arranged a snowfall! So thoughtful! The WiFi didn't work for me but I had my personal hot spot to gain access with. Recommend this cottage!

  • Marc and Karin’s place was great. Close to town, quiet and very clean. Bed was comfy. I sometimes have trouble sleeping in strange places but no trouble there! And the chocolates and waters were a nice unexpected but welcome touch! Would definitely recommend staying there.

  • Great stay at Marc & Karin's. Room was clean, and just what we needed for the night. They graciously left the light on and the door open for us due to our late night arrival. Quiet location. Great experience!

  • Great stay at Marc and Karin's! Met me when I arrived, room was awesome - super clean, private bath, wifi, cable, etc....everything I needed Will definitely be back, perfect location close to lake and downtown shops and restaurants.

  • I was looking for a space that would be close to a wedding I was attending so I wouldn't need to be driving over 2 hours to it and was so happy when I found this cute little studio in Karin and Marc's home. It was just enough room for me and had a little fridge to put leftovers and drinks, they had a kurig for coffee in the morning and a microwave too! Everything was nice and clean and bed was comfortable, they had a cute little sitting area outside the door so you could enjoy coffee while looking out onto nice back yard. It was only a 5 min drive to Hills house venue and lots of places to eat nearby too! Loved the box of chocolates left on my bed when I arrived! Karin and Marc had kept in contact with me throughout my stay to make sure I was all set and if I needed anything. It was nice knowing if I needed something they were just a message away! I highly recommend for singles or couples, it's nice and quiet and the birds chirping in am was nice to hear!

  • A fantastic room with everything you need. The views are gorgeous. We have loved our time at Mark and Karin and really felt at home. We felt welcome and had great conversations. • Wow! My husband and I needed to find a place to lay our heads down after a long drive before catching an early morning boat to Three-Mile Island. When our airbnb search landed on Marc and Karin, we felt pretty lucky. We had no idea how lucky, though! We were warmly welcomed by Karin to a private suite with a beautiful view, including a sweet patio with a cafe table and chairs at a truly wonderful price. We were sad we had to leave before enjoying coffee on the patio. We HIGHLY recommend this wonderful spot. Thank you Karin and Marc!!

I HAVE TWO BEDROOMS. The first room (queen bed) is $95/night through Airbnb and the second room (full bed, which can only be requested if you book the first room & with family or friends) is $75/night which must be booked directly through me.
I have TWO bedrooms (1st room with queen bed is $95/night & fees through Airbnb) and the 2nd room is $75/night no fees booked with me after you reserve the first room. I do this since I only book the 2nd room to family & friends since the rooms share a bath. I can accommodate up to 4 guests, with room for a travel crib or play-n-pack in the 2nd room. A crib is available for guest use. My home is located on a tree-lined street, next to Meredith's famous Moulton's Farm Stand (enjoy a morning walk to CiderBelly Donuts for coffee and a donut), and minutes from the centers of both Meredith and Center Harbor -- providing a perfect launching point for your Lakes Region adventure, whether enjoying the many lakes in the summer, viewing vibrant fall foliage, or playing on the area's ski slopes in winter. Meredith is one of the most beautiful towns around Lake Winnipesaukee, NH's largest lake and the heart and soul of our community.
If you're planning to Meredith, then you probably already know the wonders and beauty of NH's Lake Region. There is no where else I'd rather live than here among the lakes, mountains, forests, streams and fields. This is a year-round destination. http://meredithareachamber.com/
  • We were so thankful for Sally's kindness and hospitality! My daughter and I had such a great, though brief, visit to Sally's home. Everything was neat and tidy, and Sally was thoughtful and gave suggestions on things to do in the vicinity. The home is beautiful and surrounded by the sounds of nature, not to mention its location adjacent to a lovely farm with fantastic cider doughnuts! We are grateful to have met both hosts, and will would love to stay again if we're ever in the area.

  • Sally sets the standard for being a warm and welcoming host. Her beautiful home is in perfect condition and is full of charm and comfort. We had an incredible stay and Sally could not have been more accommodating of our group. She even offered to help with our logistic planning and took a group photo so that we could remember the stay.

  • I've stayed with Sally before and was happy to be back again. She's a kind and welcoming host and we really enjoyed ourselves.

  • My wife and I had a wonderful time staying with Sally. She was an excellent hostess and provided us with a ton of information about what to do in the area. She also provided us with a homemade baked goods and tea/coffee in the morning, as well as allowed me to ship a shirt I ordered to her house. The house beautiful and sadly we did not take advantage of the pool as we were out and about all day. The house is super close to a nice, quiet beach on the northern end of the lake, and only a 5-10 minute drive to restaurants and shops. Just know that the beds in each room have firm mattresses. We highly recommend staying with Sally if you are going to be in the Meredith area.

  • This was a perfect place for my wife and I. We came up for a wedding on the lake and stayed here afterwards. Sally far exceeded our expectations, and a perfect way to end the trip by sitting out by the pool for a few hours prior to the drive back home. Thank you so much and we will look to stay with Sally again soon!

    Jeff2017-07-23T00:00:00Z
  • One of the best ABNB experiences that I've had. Always a bit wary staying in someone's house when they are there, but Sally leaves a small footprint and invited us to use her house, pool, yard as our own. The house is immaculate and the beds are good. No AC but fans were fine especially with the cool evening air. Morning blueberry and banana bread was great too!

  • Fun stay here! Peter was kind in allowing my twin baby nieces to come stay with us as well. My partner and I slept in the bonus room and woke up every morning to a beautiful sunrise. :)

  • Julia and Pete have a lovely place in Moultonborough. We were happy to arrive to a clean and comfortable home and to be able to explore the area from its great location. Pete went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable - he even set up the canoe for us so that we could take a spin around the pond! We look forward to returning in the future.

  • The small house was a great alternative to a hotel room when attending a wedding at The Castle in the Clouds. It was conveniently located near about 15 minutes from the wedding sight. Having the comforts of a home was great! The house was very clean and provided all that we expected.

  • Once again, we had a fabulous stay at Pete's place. The house is so well kept, and is extremely clean as others have noted. Pete is as welcoming as can be, and responds very quickly to any inquiry. As I've said before, you cannot find a better host on Airbnb! Thanks again For everything Pete!

  • Peter's house on Berry Pond is spectacularly gorgeous and serene. It is clean, quiet, private and extremely comfortable. There are multiple views of Berry Pond from the house and a lovely walk down the hill to Berry Pond. This lovely home would very comfortably house a family of four. The grounds are quite expansive and peaceful. There is access to a three person canoe at the Berry Pond with life jackets!

  • We rented "custom house" as a place to sleep while attending family weekend at our son's camp. The house is clean clean clean! We also found it to be larger than we expected based on the photos - just another bonus. We spent all days and evenings off the property so we can not comment on the location & amenities - but the pond really looked dreamy. Peter was a very quick to respond to all communication and very thorough.

  • Staying with Barb was a treat! She is a very nice person, a pleasure to chat with, and made our stay very enjoyable. Additionally, she was accommodating when our flight plans changed requiring us to arrive later than planned. Her house is beautiful, clean, and the bedroom is spacious with a comfy bed and private, attached bathroom. She prepared a delicious breakfast for us which was a great way to start our day. Thanks for your hospitality Barb, it was great meeting you!

  • We were looking for a relaxing time in New Hampshire, and received exactly that. Barb and Av (and Majia (?), the dog) made us feel at home away from home. Always up for a chat and ready with helpful suggestions, but leaving us to ourselves when we preferred. They provided a relaxing and accommodating atmosphere in the beauty of their home on top of the hill. We certainly hope to return someday!

  • The room was just as it is described . Barbara and Ave are wonderful host. They have done a great job on this Airbnb room. The room is VERY big as is the attached bathroom. The large windows provided a great breeze. The neighborhood is quiet and a bit secluded yet within walking distance of the lake and town. Barbara and Ave made us feel very welcome and were available to us for a wealth of information about the surrounding area yet we felt we had our privacy and could come and go as we wanted. Breakfast was wonderful. We loved the gluten free muffins.

  • Barbara and Av have a very nice house very central in Meredith. Superb location with only 5-10 min walk to everything in Meredith. Their house have gorgeous balcony/terrace where we had a lovely breakfast. They were very nice with us and gave us many recommendations. The bed was amazing - the best mattress on our roadtrip in USA and Canada. There is no air condition - but you don't need it as there is a perfectly functional big ceiling fan that keeps you cool.

    Silje2016-08-07T00:00:00Z
  • We loved staying with Barb and Av! They were very attentive and gave us lots of advice on things to do in the area. Breakfast was always delicious and we had a great conversation with them both mornings. The room was so beautiful and clean. It felt homey and very comfortable. We highly recommend staying here!

    Sam2016-07-12T00:00:00Z
  • Staying with Barb and Av is like coming home. They are genuine folks who enjoy their fellow man, and they provide guests with best their home has to offer. Of all our experiences I think the most enjoyable was the conversation around the kitchen table both during and after breakfast. My wife and I didn't just have a great place to stay - we made new friends.

Sunny apt with full kitchen, private deck, shared lake access. Queen bed in bedroom plus fold out Ikea Queen sofa bed in living room. 10 mins to I-93. 30 mins to skiing, wht mtn hiking. Solar electricity. Radiant heat. Property part of Cloverly Cottage (on VRBO). Owners teach movement and do Rolfing. The apartment accommodates up to four persons (extra charge of $30 pp/pn above 2. Children 12 and under no extra charge.)
The beach and grounds are semi private: they are shared by the owners and the guests who rent the summer cottage. There are woods on both sides of the property and, although there is some road traffic, the property is secluded and quiet and the lake stays quiet all year because it is not open to motor boats over 7 hp. Mostly there are kayaks, canoes and small fishing boats. We do have a no pets policy.
The road by the property is popular with people in the town for walking and jogging. The houses are few and far between. Many houses on the road are summer occupancy only. In winter there are some hills to travel on close to the property. The town does a good job of plowing and sanding but sometimes it can be slippery if there is fresh snow or ice.
  • Great place. Cozy, clean and spacious, and the atmosphere was very peaceful. Kevin and Galen were very kind. We would highly recommend it to anyone wanting a relaxed vacation.

  • My mother and I had a very comfortable stay . We loved the location and the apartment was very cozy. Kevin and Galen were great hosts.....would highly recommend them.

  • We are speechless. Words can not describe our stay. The place was exactly what we needed for some Rest and Relaxation. The cottage was very clean. Saw Kevin a few times and the caretaker. They were great and very helpful. Got a bonus foot massage-Relief Reflexology from the caretaker, who did an excellent job on my foot. I have plantar facilities and heel spur problem. My foot hasn't felt this good in months. We would highly highly highly recommend this place. Planning on renting the larger Cloverly Cottage in the future with friends. Kevin, you will be seeing us again. Thanks for offering your home to us. Kelli

  • Listing is exactly as it is described. Lovely 1 bedroom apt with all the amenities. Clean, cozy, and beautiful.

  • This apartment is perfect for 2-4 people looking for a quiet and gorgeous getaway. My fiancé and I only stayed for a quick weekend to attend a nearby wedding, and we wished we had more time to explore the area and the property. The apartment is located on an absolutely beautiful lake, and guests have access to kayaks and canoes. The nearby town is adorable. The host is responsive and courteous. I recommend this AirBnB to anyone wishing to stay in the area, or searching for a countryside retreat! Be aware that the host has other apartments/houses on the property; it struck us as a great place for a large family/friends gathering.

    Nicole2017-08-13T00:00:00Z
  • I had a wonderful stay at Kevin's place. On entering, I was impressed by the layout and how spacious it was. Kevin wasn't there to greet me, but the door was open with clear instructions on using the place. The caretaker, Galen, lives upstairs and was very sweet. I spent most of my day out hiking, and didn't get a chance to use the kayaks nearby or the great kitchen. It would definitely recommend this place to family and friends.

    Brian2015-10-08T00:00:00Z
  • My stay was excellent. The apartment is spotless, fully equipped with everything you could possibly need, and lake adjacent. The property is solar powered which is soooo coool!! In addition, the apartment has heated floors which was extremely unexpected. Kevin was very nice. We came and went from the property for various tours and sight seeing in the area and had a great time. The property is remote, so this is for travelers who just want a quiet getaway. I would definitely recommend this airbnb to friends and family looking to stay in NH.

  • This was a lovely place to stay! The printed instructions helped make our late arrival very smooth. It was a cozy apartment and peaceful location, just what we were hoping for. We enjoyed the added bonus of being able to canoe on the lake.

You’ll love our place because of the coziness and the serenity. The apartment is the only residential unit in the "barn" so you have total privacy. We are a 10 minute walk to a pretty beach on Squam Lake where you can swim and put in kayaks/canoes etc. Also, we are very close to Meredith, Moultonboro & Sandwich Our place is good for couples and we are on the premises to meet your needs.
The screened in porch looks over the woods and invites relaxation and peace. Our road and those around it are quiet and good for walking. Hiking or walks in the White Mountains are at your doorstep while downhill and cross country skiing in the winter are close by.
  • The cottage is in walking distance to the lake, located in a peaceful, beautiful area and the hosts, Bonnie and Harry, were super friendly and helpful. Bonnie was available for prompt communication around questions before and during the trip, there was flexibility around our arrival and departure time, and the unit was clean, comfortable, and easy to use for cooking and relaxing inside or outside on the screened porch. We had a great stay!

    Adele 2017-08-23T00:00:00Z
  • Bonnie and Harry are wonderful and their place could not have been more perfect for our weekend getaway. The location is right next to Winnipesaukee and Squam Lakes and the place is even more cute and spacious than it looks in the pictures. Hope to stay there again soon!

    Steve2017-05-29T00:00:00Z
  • I proposed to my fiancé while staying at Bonnie and Harry's wonderful lake cabin. The space is nothing short of magical and includes all the creature comforts one could want. It was impeccably clean and maintained with the utmost care. The property is beautiful and charming - flowers and blackberry bushes everywhere (which we were invited to enjoy!), and just a short walk to Squam Lake. The screened in porch was perfect for morning coffee and listening to the sounds of the woods. Bonnie and Harry couldn't have been more thoughtful and welcoming hosts, and we couldn't have asked for a more perfect Airbnb experience for such a special weekend!

    Nate2017-08-13T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely place in the country with an adorable screened in porch fir am coffee inthe trees. This was the perfect weekend getaway apartment on a beautiful piece of property with gracious hosts . Will definitely come back!

  • Our stay was great! Hospitable hosts and convenient location.

    Alexandra2017-07-30T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay at Bonnie's cozy guesthouse. The bed was comfortable, the kitchen well equipped, and the location was convenient to restaurants, shops, and put-in at Squam Lake. We highly recommend staying at Bonnie's place if you are heading to Squam Lake.

    Peter2017-10-01T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I celebrated our one year anniversary at this lovely place! The views are gorgeous and Bonnie really knows how to make people feel welcome. The grounds are spectacular and we got to see a blue heron a few times at the little pond. Everything was so clean and well thought out. The walk to the little beach is lovely and the beach itself is quiet and peaceful. I would highly recommend this getaway for couple looking to retreat and reconnect.

This studio apartment is located on route 25 between Center Harbor and Moultonborough. 5 mins to Center Harbor Beach and a short walk to Lake Kannaska and the boat ramp. The apartment is located in an antique house built on n 1840. It's has a king bed is tastefully decorated, has nice linens and glassware. Small TV, AC WiFi, a microwave, coffee maker and electric fry pan, my favorite. It's very close to restaurants and everything the Lakes Region has to offer.
  • The photos don't even show how comfortable and spacious this one-room studio was. We were entirely pleased in every way. Wendy was warm and friendly and helpful. Our needs were not extensive as we were part of a family reunion 3 miles away where we spent most of our time, so we were at Wendy's to sleep. However, her studio is neat and clean and tidy and sunny. It's decorated very nicely, and has everything you would want (unless you want to cook a lot, which we did not) in every way. We slept very well, too. Thank you, Wendy!

    Bonnie2016-08-08T00:00:00Z
  • Every year I am banished from my home so the guys can get together for fishing derby. I have spent those days in many different places and this year decided to stay close to home to work. Of course NH being what it is there was a snow storm! There was no problem because Wendy arranged for me to be plowed and checked in frequently. Decorated eclectic, lots of cooking options, plenty of towels. Cozy and comfy, loved the king size bed. Close to restaurants, grocery and lots of outdoor activities!

    Linda2017-02-11T00:00:00Z
  • Thanks Wendy, the apartment was just as described, and it worked very well for us.

    Marjorie2016-08-16T00:00:00Z
  • Wendy's place made our trip! The space was gorgeous, clean, comfy, and perfect for our weekend trip. Wendy made us feel so at home and let us stay for as long as we wanted on our checkout date and I couldn't be more appreciative of her hospitality.

    Meagan2017-08-28T00:00:00Z
  • We are very familiar with Moultonborough since our daughter lives there. This was such a wonderful place to stay while we were visiting her, and the extra bonus was staying over Wendy's very eclectic shop. Now all I need is time to actually spend wandering through it. It may require another visit!

    Sandie2017-08-24T00:00:00Z
  • Wendy is helpful and kind. She is a thoughtful host and was available by phone for questions. There is a sense of privacy, despite the store downstairs. It is good to know the place is directly on a main road, making it convenient but also a little noisy. The lakes region is lively

    Esther2017-08-06T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed our stay very much, and Wendy was a great host. She was waiting for us when we arrived; she showed us the apartment and then left us to settle in. There were fresh blueberries waiting for us and fresh lemon water in the fridge, which we really appreciated. The apartment was in a perfect location for us--close to where we were spending time, on Lake Winnepesaukee, and also close to Center Harbor for grocery shopping, etc. It was clean and tidy--ample room for the two of us--with a small kitchen, full sized fridge, small TV, and window AC. The house is located on a busy road, but the apartment is upstairs in the back of the house, so we were not bothered by traffic noise at all. The king-sized bed was very comfortable with plenty of pillows. The shower stall is quite small, but workable. Overall, we found this a great place to stay. There aren't a lot of options in the area, so we were thrilled to have a cozy, comfortable, clean, and private spot with all of the amenities we needed. Thank you, Wendy!

    Sandy2016-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • Wendy was very accommodating and responsive host. The room is spacious enough for a couple or a single person. Big plus, the drive up to the White Mts thru Conway from Wendy's AirBnB is way more convenient.

Beautiful home that comfortably sleeps 6. Part of a community that shares a large family friendly beach. Within walking distance to downtown Center Harbor. A great location for a weekend away at Lake Winnipesaukee!
Our home comes fully equipped with the following: Three Bedrooms (master has queen bed and TV), one full bathroom, one sitting room with couches and coffee table, one den with a TV, one propane grill, one fully screened in porch!
Although the address of the property is in Moultonborough, we are closer to downtown Center Harbor. You can easily walk to Center Harbor to enjoy the ice cream shops, restaurants, grocery store, public beach, and public dock!
  • We had a great two night stay at Michael and Pat's pretty cottage. The hosts were incredibly accommodating and definitely took extra care in adding nice touches to the cottage to make any stay enjoyable - like providing towels for the beach in the screened in sun room, providing menus to local restaurants, etc. The location is great on the lake, there is a nice beach there with a roped off and shallow sandy area for swimming and you are close to Meredith with all that it offers....We will definitely be back with our kids as soon as possible!

  • Our second time at the house was just as fantastic as our first visit! This is a great spot. We've been coming to the lake for at least 10 years- and this has been my favorite place to stay- comfortable, clean, all amenities you would need, shade at the lake, awesome outside area, amazing screened in porch. We will definitely return!!! Thank you so much!

  • We stayed in this lovely home for a week in July/August 2017, with 3 adults and 3 children (ages 15, 11 and 2). As stated in another review, this home is definitely larger than the pictures show. It is clean, tidy, and well-equipped and having laundry is a huge plus. The kitchen is well-stocked with pots, pans, silverware, dishes, and glassware. There were plenty of paper towels and toilet paper but we bought paper plates, cups, and napkins. There were condiments available (we replenished the ketchup) and a gas outdoor grill. The kitchen has a toaster, blender, electric stove, and microwave (no dishwasher). There is plenty of cabinet space for your goodies. There are ceiling fans and window unit A/Cs so we were able to keep the house very comfortable. The front porch is fantastic and gave us great "outdoor space" when it rained. The couch in the tv room is a pullout in case you need it. The television is impressive. There is also a tv in the master bedroom. There are board games, which we enjoyed, but the deck of cards is incomplete. Scrabble is missing a tile but we played just fine without it. The house is about 150 grassy yards from the common beach. This was a perfect distance for us so I didn't have to constantly worry about our toddler being near the water. The beach is beautiful with areas of full sun and shade. It is busy on the weekends but we had a few days during the week that we had the beach to ourselves. The property is walking distance (a longish walk but a very short drive) from Center Harbor where there is a supermarket, liquor store, restaurant, ice cream shop, etc. There is also a Dunkin Donuts and bagel place (Winnipesaukee Bay Gulls) near by and there are plenty of area shops and restaurants. The house is not childproofed per se but it was easy enough for us the keep our toddler safe. If you are traveling with a younger child, you may want a gate for the stairs and some outlet covers. I was a little worried about being so close to the neighbors and sharing the beach but the neighbors were quite nice. The folks that live to the left are very friendly and made the trip even more enjoyable. There are lots of children around and plenty of open space to play. This is definitely a family friendly location but if you are traveling without children, there is enough privacy for relaxation. The only "negative" that we experienced was that there is no available drawer space for clothes, etc. The owners have things stored in all of the drawers, which is certainly understandable, so you will need to live out of your luggage. There is closet space and ample hangers. We communicated primarily with the owner's son, Christian. He was great to work with and quick to respond. There were no problems with the rental process and everything...

  • We absolutely loved this house! We had a great lake stay here. My husband and I, my two children and my mother in law all stayed very comfortably. The house is fully equipped with everything that anybody would need, we cooked a bunch of meals and ate on the screened in porch. The house is comfortable and spacious. We slept great It was lovely! The house stayed surprisingly cool even without the air-conditioners on , even when it was super hot outside. We just could not have been happier. Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful home with us

    Bridget2016-08-14T00:00:00Z
  • We just spent 9 days at this property and it was our 3rd visit, with the first 2 being last summer. We really love this house, the location and the surrounding grounds. The house is comfortable, clean, has plenty of space and a great screened-in porch. The beach (with shade or not) and large grass area was great for our kids. The place was quiet, especially during the week, and the neighbors were very nice. This house is very close to our family's vacation place and the 3 bedrooms allows our family plus my mother-in-law to stay together. This house is just great, it is so much nicer than the hotels we have stayed at in the area and is a overall a really great place to stay. You can walk into town for an ice cream. Highly recommend.

    Bridget2017-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • My family and I were up at the lake for a long weekend and had an absolutely fabulous time in Pat and Michael's lake house! It was clean and updated and the location could not have been more ideal for us. Minutes away from my oldest child's camp and walking distance to Center Harbor...and steps from the lake and a private beach area on the lake. Perfect. The house was bigger than we expected and had all the comforts needed. The kids swam and played on the sandy beach and spent the mornings playing card and board games on the covered porch. We hope to return to this lovely home!

  • We spent Columbus Day weekend at Michael and Pat's lake house in New Hampshire. Great location, beautiful home with everything you would need to enjoy a great getaway week or weekend. I would highly recommend staying at Michael and Pat's home.

  • What a special place! First, the owners were so easy to deal with. Always responsive and went above and beyond regarding my FREQUENT queries. Check-in and out was a breeze. The space is ample- absolutely perfect for our family of 4 adults and 2 kids. Our favorite spot by far was the screened-in porch...even on a 58 degree day we hung out there! Well appointed house- linens, towels, shampoo- so helpful. A/C if too hot out, heat if too cool...really such a comfortable place. We ate out all but one night so can't speak to how well stocked the kitchen was with pots and pans. Did notice no tea kettle (I'm a tea drinker) but we made do. Beach was a minute walk down the grass. It's "big" by Winni standards, but don't expect an expansive beach. Perfect for kids to play with sand toys and to set up a few chairs. Water was a bit mucky, but I've heard the lake is mucky everywhere this year, so may not be unique to this place. Center Harbor is adorable, and less than a mile away. Had fun exploring the area. The street is perfect for strolling with kids or for a run. Absolutely loved the street. Great hosts, great house. Wonderful time. 5 stars!

Walking distance to Downtown Meredith (Mills Falls) where you can find various restaurants, ice cream pallor and bars. Short drive to White Mountains, various skiing resorts within 30 mins, and golf courses close by. Enjoy swimming and spectacular sunsets.
  • The Mermaid Cottage was super easy to find and was a great base for my family's Lakes Region & White Mntns vacation. Scott's place had everything we needed: kitchen supplies, some coffee & cocoa, a grill, some tunes, Roku TV, etc. Our kids (5 & 7) loved the sleeping loft. The AC works great and the shared dock & decks are all that you need for lake access. There's also a small public beach about .6 miles away (bring a wagon to carry stuff and you can skip the car ride).

  • Scott's place was perfect for us. Clean, excellent locale and as described, I would 100% recommend renting from Scott in the future. The cottage is on a gorgeous spot for the summer and winter, only a few steps away from the lake. It's very comfortable and well equipped in case you want to cook at home. Once again, I'd 100% recommend renting from Scott.

  • The mermaid cottage is located in a beautiful and convenient location on Lake Winnipesauke. We were conveniently located to all of the wonderful shops and restaurants @ Mill Falls, yet we also felt we had the privacy needed to enjoy some relaxing lake time. We would highly recommend this for a family of four. The space is not large but has just about everything you need to enjoy a relaxing vacation by the lake. Be aware there is no washer or dryer so bring extra stuff to accommodate for the rainy days & nights that can occur in New England. There are coin operated places close by. The owners were very accommodating and did a great job communicating with us about our upcoming stay and check in.

  • Very nice area at the lake. The cottage is a bit old but very cosy. Cindy and Gary are nice, helpful and funny. We want to come back most definitly!

  • We had the best time at Cindy and Gary's place. They could not have been more welcoming and helpful and the place was like heaven, really beautiful. It had everything a cottage should: pines, a lake, canoes, and friendly neighbours. We would recommend here to everyone.

  • It is just the perfect place to be if you are staying at Lake Winnipesaukee! Cindy & Gary are lovely people who make you feel at home immediately. They are very helpful and do have lots of ideas for what to do in the area. The cottages and rooms are very clean and lovingly arranged. All you need is in walking distance and a trip around the lake is really worth it.

  • Our week at Colonial Pines was delightful. From the rustic, old-fashioned but very well maintained cabin, to the lake views from our screened-in porch, to the canoe rides with our kids, and easy water access with diving platform. My 4 1/2 year old made great strides with swimming only in that one week. Cindy and Gary were present and friendly and helpful, but they were unobtrusive. My mother was staying elsewhere and joined us during the day most days; we didn't realize ahead of time (didn't know until we read the information sheet upon checking in) that there is a daily guest fee. It's reasonable ($15) and understandable, but I didn't remember seeing mention of this in advance. Just an FYI. A full-service market and 2 different icecream shops and the public beach are within walking distance (though we were glad to have a stroller for our 4 year old), which made the stay so relaxing, not have to drive all over the place. I would come back in a heartbeat.

We loved our early morning breakfasts on the cozy screened in porch of cottage #2, it was very clean, great views of the lake, and conveniently located so close to town. Cindy and Gary are the nicest hosts..We can't wait for next summer.

This Log Cabin is nestled into a small marina on Lake Winnipesaukee in Meredith, NH. There is plenty of space for lake fun and its rustic feel makes it the perfect place to relax.
There is a small, fenced in backyard
This log cabin is in a quiet, residential area only a 5-minute drive from downtown Meredith.
  • The place was perfect, perfect, perfect. It was exactly as described, but larger. Every room (and the deck) was large and spacious. The kind bed was very comfortable (good mattress). We had a boat and a dog, and this worked out better than we could have hoped. We had easy access to our boat, and loved to watch the marina activity during the day. It was quiet in the evening, with a few boats coming and going. There was a nice small fenced in area out back for the dog, so very easy to let her for a bathroom break. Having a small store right below the cabin, made it very convienent to pick up the basics (milk, eggs, beer, newspaper). The large deck offered excellent views of the marina, Pine Island and boats on the lake. Everyone at Y Landing was very, very nice, helpful and accommodating.

  • David's place is really beautiful. A great and big house, clean with a stunning view from the balcony. Located at a marina gives it some extra: you can just sit down and look at everything going on. Make sure to have a boating licence if you want to rent a boat. Thanks David. We had a wonderful time!

  • The host was very helpful with directions and left a welcome book with suggestions of activities. The "cabin" was above a busy marina. It provided much entertainment and a beautiful view. Below was also a small store for snacks. The house offered little amenities to help you get by like soap, ziplock bags and dishwashing soap. Overall we loved this spot. Only 10 minutes to town. Thanks again for the great stay!

    Jamie2016-08-29T00:00:00Z
  • Very beautiful cabin right on the water. We loved watching the boats come and go. The paddleboards we rented were great, and such a convenience to rent them right there at the marina. Our dog was very happy there and we all enjoyed our stay and hope to return again.

    Diane2015-08-22T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed a long weekend over Labor Day. House is clean, spacious and quiet. There is a lot of activity in the marina during the day, but it is not noisy. The kitchen is huge and well furnished. Excellent host. The view over the water is beautiful; sunrises are particularly nice. No convenient swimming access.

    Charles2015-09-07T00:00:00Z
  • Great location to stay if you have a boat to use while there.

    james2017-08-17T00:00:00Z
  • The best part of our visit was, by far, the time out on the porch overlooking the marina. The house was clean and spacious. The amenities were not lacking anything. Definitely a place I would rebook!

    Lisa2017-09-17T00:00:00Z
  • We had such an easy time checking in as everyone at the marina was friendly and helpful. The cabin was well kept, very clean, and the beds were extremely comfortable. The area was peaceful and beautiful and there were lots of activities at the marina and close by in town to engage in. Dave was a wonderful host, he answered all my questions before I got there and was easily accessible during our trip if we had additional questions. We are looking forward to renting again!

  • Pictures do not do it justice. This house is BEAUTIFUL. Excellent location. Close to the hustle of Meredith with restaurants and shopping, but far enough away for a nice quiet evening on the porch or in the hot tub. House was immaculately clean and very well stocked. Was able to keep my boat right at the dock, but I would not recommend anything bigger than 20' for their dock. If you have a bigger boat try and get one of the moorings they have as well. Long story short this house is worth every penny for a lake stay vacation!

    Craig 2017-08-13T00:00:00Z
  • Had a wonderful weekend! The house is great, has everything you need and in a perfect location just a couple houses down from the lake with beautiful views! Thanks Deano and Frank!

    Molly2016-09-11T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful time. The house is beautiful and perfect for a winter weekend getaway to New Hampshire. I did not think it was even possible, but the house looks even better than in the pictures. It is in a cute little neighborhood with the lake only a couple of houses down. Deano is great too! She even left us a note with restaurant recommendations and was very nice about answering any questions we might have about the house or the area.

    Claire2016-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • This space is gorgeous!! The beds were extremely comfy and the kitchen was fully stocked. We stayed the long weekend with friends and our children to ski at Gubstock. It was such a treat to come back and relax in the hot tub. Highly recommended for your next stay. Spacious and quiet. Family friendly. Thanks Deano!!

    Cassandra2017-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • Everything about this place was even better than the photos. Deano and Frank left us a bottle of wine and all of the information we needed about the house. When I called asking about rock salt for the deck (there was a melt/freeze the day we came up), Deano had someone over to salt the deck IMMEDIATELY and was so sweet and responsive. The kitchen is GORGEOUS and fully equipped (as someone who loves to cook, it was a dream!), and the living/dining/kitchen area is open and has a gorgeous view out of floor-to-ceiling windows. The lake isn't accessible directly from the property, but it is RIGHT at the end of the road, and you can see it sparkling through the trees from the house. The house is in a very residential lake neighborhood, but the side of the deck with the hot tub faces the woods and feels very private and secluded, in spite of other houses around. This was the PERFECT place to get away from it all and relax. I'll definitely stay again and would highly recommend it!

    Kim2016-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • Spot on..! We just returned from a fantastic stay. The home was just as described. Very clean, comfortable with every amenity one eight imagine. I spent my first 25 years professionally working in the Hospitality business. I always tried to under promise and over deliver to all of my guests. Well done Deano! The Hot Tub was a special treat located on the back deck providing privacy and looking out over the wooded back lot. The proximity of the home to the lakefront, dock and shoreline was close enough to enjoy as views sipping cocktails on the front deck. Nothing has been overlooked, this home is setup for enjoyment and comfort.

    Barry2016-10-10T00:00:00Z
  • This is our second visit to this house. Awesome house. Great Lake location. Very clean. Highly recommend .

    Nathan2017-05-15T00:00:00Z
  • Everything about this place was amazing. The pictures do not do enough justice to this beautiful lakeside getaway. Immediately we felt at home with everything this house was equipped with including numerous cooking utensils, all the fixings for a nice cup of coffee, and all the necessary wifi and electronics to stay connected. The neighborhood and views of the lake were amazing, and let's not forget the best part, THE HOT TUB! It was just what we needed to steam away all the stress and be able to relax and unwind. This house is in a great location near the center of town and surrounded by many other desirable areas. We went skiing at Gunstock mountain only a short 25 minutes away. There is something for everyone here and Deano is a great host and answers any questions and concerns right away. I would recommend this house to anyone looking for a relaxing good time. We can't wait to come back again soon.

  • Mark did a really nice job of setting up the house for a family to come and enjoy the lake. The beach access was great for kayaking and paddle boarding (we brought our own). The living space, kitchen and bedrooms were nicely setup to enjoy as a group. The street itself was quiet with easy access back to town for food, amenities. Overall, a really nice stay!

  • Great host and house.

    Daniel2017-10-08T00:00:00Z
  • This is a very large and spacious house right on the lake. You have a full kitchen, deck, beach with kayaks and canoe. What can beat a stay on the lake. One of the cool things about this place is that this is a place actively used by the host, for his own pleasure, so you can see many details that were meant for someone to really enjoy the lake, just there to share with the guests. The kitchen was relatively well equip for all one needed to really cook, the kayak's and canoe were a great addition that made our stay, the deck, swings, firepit, beach. It was a place to have a vacation, rather than simply a bed for the night.

    Dana2016-07-28T00:00:00Z
  • Great house and exactly as described. Mark was very responsive and a good host.

    Dan2016-09-06T00:00:00Z
  • Mark was extremely responsive, professional, and thoughtful. He really wanted to make sure our vacation was as wonderful as it could be and made sure the music system, grill, and everything else was working for us. We found the property to be even better than pictured because there were some toys for the kids that were a life saver on our rainy day and kayaks/ canoe that were just awesome. Great vacation, recommend this rental!

However if you need anything house is just 2 mile away from Hannaford super market and Rite Aid. A perfect place for a get away! 2 min walking distance to beautiful Winnipesaukee Lake beach. The cabin was exactly what we expected from the pictures and we really loved hanging out in the gazebo room in the mornings and evenings. Great location for walking to the beach area.

On crystal clear Lake Winona. Must be willing to put up with loon serenades, as they're frequent, otherwise, it's a pretty serene, quiet place. Hiking, kayaking, swimming, ice skating, cross country skiing from back door. Ski resorts 18 & 28 miles away. Night life resort towns 6 miles away. I live in this house and my neighbors are my friends, so no loud, throbbing music out on the deck or loud yelling, screaming, cursing. (You can curse under your breath all you want).
Expansive decks with great views of mountains and lake. Even better views from the towers. Screened porch with extensive bar. Soapstone woodstove adds ambience to kitchen/dining area. Gourmet kitchen with Maine slate countertops, stainless steel appliances, double oven, blah, blah
It's relaxing, calm country whether you hang out on the dock or lounge in the Adirondack chairs on the deck. Most of the fun stuff is outdoors. Meredith, six miles away, is a fun, higher octane resort town on the northern shores of New Hampshire's largest lake. Lots of stuff going on there. Nearest town in the other direction, just off of Interstate 93 is Ashland (4 miles away). It has gas, grocery store, pretty much whatever you might need. It also is fun, but smaller. Another 5 miles north on Interstate 93 brings you to Plymouth, home of Plymouth State University and also where the NH Summer Symphony has weekly performances. Oh yeah, there are ski resorts and mountains for hiking peppered all around the area.
  • Fits 15 perfectly. Scott is very nice. Showed me everything that I needed to know. Gave me a tour of the town. Lovely house.

    Richie2017-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • Everything about our stay was fine, but if you want to swim or fish, be prepared for a hike up and down the hill from the house to the lake. Our host Scott is a really nice gentleman, and was available to answer any questions we had.

    Walter2017-07-16T00:00:00Z
  • This is the second time I have stayed at Scotts house and will not be the last. It was beyond amazing. The house can accommodate a large group of people.

    Andrew2017-09-03T00:00:00Z
  • Scott was the ultimate host. The house was very well prepared for our arrival with complementary breakfast breads and a well laid out bar area with all the glassware needed for our beverage options. Plenty of dishes, plates, bowls and cookware to accommodate are needs.

    Denise2016-10-03T00:00:00Z
  • We spent a week at the Salty Grape with two other families during the first week of July. Scott was a wonderful host. He showed us around when we arrived, called during the week to check if everything was ok, and met us again when we checked out. The home was spectacular! With 13 people, there was enough room to spread out, and we never felt crowded. The kitchen was well-equipped, and the beds were comfortable. The location was perfect: on a quiet lake with little boat traffic, the kids were able to swim off the dock and kayak without having to worry about other boaters. It is a short drive to Meredith and Weirs Beach for dining, shopping, and other activities. I highly recommend the Salty Grape for a peaceful, fun, relaxing vacation. We hope to be able to return.

    Cathy2017-07-08T00:00:00Z
  • This place was amazing. Scott is an all-timer. Stayed here for a wedding weekend at Lake Winny. Scott could not have been more welcoming and gracious. His home is beautiful and perfectly situation for a group our size looking for a fun, but relaxing, weekend on the lake. Highly recommend that all looking into this area take a good look at this place. Thank you Scott!!

    Ryan2017-09-17T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time while we were at Scott's place. He took the time to greet us personally and showed us around the house and it's amenities. Well suited for small or larger groups. We enjoyed every minute of our stay.

    Margelin2016-07-18T00:00:00Z
  • First of all, as beautiful as the pictures Scott has posted are, they don't do the justice of the beauty the place truly holds in real life! It is just so peaceful and gorgeous. My friends and I have stayed away from Lake Winnapasauki for two years and we LOVE being on quieter smaller lakes where we can sort of "own the place" if you will. Scott was there to show us around the place and provided generous (unnecessary) snacks upon entry. The place was immaculate, neighbors were friendly (firework friendly, as well) and the surroundings were private and peaceful. Overall perfect weekend, no need to go out on the town, plenty of games to play; entertainment such as kayaks/a canoe, indoor screen porch and fire pit grill to hang around. The roosters he has are awesome and provided us fresh delicious breakfast all 3 mornings we had! We would all go there again, without question.

We're on the corner of Lake and Lang Streets, in the heart of Meredith Village. All of our immediate neighbors are residential, which generally means it's quiet. Just up the hill about a minute is the library, post office, health food store, and a winery. Within three minutes walk there is a bar, coffee shop and several antique shops. A five minute walk brings you to multiple restaurants and hotels, the Church Landing luxury resort, and the waterfront park and boardwalk. The town docks are a quick minute down hill (which is also where you can catch a private ride on our boat Knotico).
  • My husband and I had a lovely stay in Charles' Meredith home. It was the perfect location as we were in town for an event at Church Landing. Charles and his wife were lovely hosts and provided complimentary waters and other treats upon arrival. The suite was located within their beautifully decorated home and had everything we needed! Would definitely recommend to other travelers.

    Kelly2016-09-19T00:00:00Z
  • Charles and Nicole were fantastic hosts! We missed them upon arrival but Charles reached out to provide us all of the check-in info earlier in the day. We met them and their three well-behaved sweet dogs the next day and they provided great food and activity recommendations during our visit. Although our room didn't have a kitchen, the fridge had water and other thoughtful items for our stay. Plus, they let us use their grill to make a fresh dinner for ourselves, which was fabulous! The place couldn't have been in a better location and was very clean. I've stayed at many Airbnb's and this was one of the top places I've booked. I would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting that area and would stay here again.

    lisa2017-07-30T00:00:00Z
  • My boyfriend and I had an absolutely perfect weekend staying at Charles' place - we couldn't imagine a more hospitable and accommodating host. We arrived pretty late at night and were greeted by Charles and his lovely dogs and shown around. The suite was very clean and we felt right at home - and as a bonus, the bed in the main bedroom was most likely the most comfortable bed I've ever slept on! We were attending a wedding at Church Landing at Mill Falls, and we couldn't have been happier with the location of the house - it took maybe 3 minutes to get there by foot, you could actually almost see the resort out of the windows in the suite! Absolutely anything you could possibly need is indeed within a few minutes' walk, and if you have a car it is worth exploring the area - what a gorgeous area. I only wish that we had been able to stay longer! I would highly recommend staying at this listing if you can!

    Christine2016-10-17T00:00:00Z
  • Charles was at the house to show us around upon our arrival, and we found the guest quarters to be extremely clean and spacious. The beds were very comfortable with lovely quality sheets and comforters, and we found every amenity possible in the bathroom. We will definitely stay at the Lake Street house again when we are in NH.

    jan2017-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • The home was absolutely beautiful and the hosts were wonderful. The suite offers the right amount of privacy while still being roomy, comfortable, and part of the stunning main home. Charles made sure we had everything we needed and took great care of us!

  • What an AMAZING experience. Charles and Nicole are the BEST hosts you could imagine. A wonderful and clean environment with hosts that go over and above. Lovely accommodations in a safe and secure area with close access to EVERYTHING. *Will be back.

  • Charles and Nicole were great hosts! There to great us when we arrived and made it a point to check in with us during our stay to see if we needed anything. S'mores on the first night by the fire pit was a great touch. Fridge stocked with lots of goodies. Fresh flowers in the rooms. It felt like home. We had a range of weather and plenty of things to do in any condition. Hope to back sometime soon!
